It was such a fun and peaceful afternoon. And we have a river nearby, which makes it all the more beautiful and special. It's fun and so different and refreshing to sit on a fallen log, surrounded by trees and nature sounds for a change, instead of in my room in front of an art tablet, knees under my chin, resembling Gollum with my incoherent mumbling and humming.

Also, it's really nice to have the opportunity of eating wild blueberries straight from the bush.

I can't believe how good lord of the rings is. Like, I hadn't watched it in ages and I am just wowed. I don't remember it being this damn bloody good. Every moment tied so well into everything. It felt like that 9 hours was not enough.

I feel changed as a person.

SAMWISE. WHAT AN ABSOLUTE LEGEND! THERE IS NOBODY IN THE WORLD A BETTER FRIEND THAN HE IS OH MY GOODNESS.

Also Gimli, Legolas, and Aragorn are literally the best trio in the entire series how is this up for debate? They summoned an undead army to the aid of Minas Tirith, they countlessly balanced the odds, themselves alone, doing the work of a hundred men. They are possibly responsible for the death of a whole third of Saurons army. Their loyalty NEVER wavered and they were a huge driving force which essentially allowed for Frodo to reach as far as he did without that much opposition. Right from the fellowship of the ring to the end of the return of the king those three men carried and I could write a whole essay upon why.

With Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim now out, I'd like to remind everyone that many of the animators who worked on Rankin/Bass's versions of The Hobbit and The Return of the King would later form such legendary studios like Ghibli and Gainax. Meaning that the likes of Evangelion, FLCL, Gurren Lagann, Panty and Stocking, My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, Ponyo, and Princess Mononoke are distantly related to the Tolkien Legendarium. Same goes for the works of Studio Trigger.
