Fox gets kidnapped once. It's because he's the Commander of the Guard and he actually knows a lot about the Chancellor and the wildly different security measures on Coruscant, because at this point, he's kinda responsible for them all. All in one package.

Expect the kidnappers use some sort of tranquliaser or other drug on him, and Fox, who has not eaten for 23 hours and has not slept for at least four times as long, drops like a fucking fly that has been zapped.

Cody gets there with the rest of the 212th after a while and proceeds to beat the shit out of all the kidnappers. Fox has no idea any of this is happening. He's having the best fucking sleep he's gotten in months.

The 'wonderful Job cadet.' kiss on the top of their head from Shaak-Ti in the early stages of the war when she was not privy (or did not want to see) the devastation her boys would suffer and then they would brag about it to their batch afterwards.

The Keldabe kiss that shakes the helmet but just enough to get that trooper moving from a hot zone.

no offense to codywan shippers (ya'll are cool and create great fan stuff) seriously, codywan art and fanworks are some of the most detailed, and well thought out pieces i've seen.

but why do you guys ship codywan? they've exchanged like maybe, two sentences per episode they make an appearance in and its mostly about military affairs. they have a relationship you'd expect between like, somewhat affable coworkers. there's more evidence for rex and hunter than there is for cody and obi wan.

you know, i saw a bunch of codywan shippers and codywan fanart and fics when i first entered sw fandom and you know, i read some and thought "this is sweet. this is a cool dynamic. i could get behind this ship."

i'd like you all to keep in mind that i've never seen TCW at that point.

and then i watch TCW and i'm like, you don't even talk to each other. obi wan is in love with hillary clinton for some reason? cody is one of those rare characters where he has zero lines, but you can tell that he has a separate life outside of whatever bullshit he's put on screen for.

i see it as a "what could have been" ship; a ship that should have been explored a bit, even if the power dynamics are really fucked up, rather than yet another woman being fridged for a man. but like, what made you guys codywan stans?

i'm curious, so hit me with your reasons. i'm not dragging codywan-some of my favorite ships are characters that have exchanged a LOOK, not even dialogue. you guys have more basis than me.

1. Most Hits The Lingerie Approval Board — Obi-Wan/212th and Codywan. 20k of chat fic where the 212th argue about which new lingerie Obi-Wan is going to buy. Not surprised by this one. This fic is way out ahead of everything else I've written in all of these categories.

2. Second most kudos 17. Fucking Machine and Gags (Cody/Rex) — Pretty much what it says on the tin. Cody gets railed by a fucking machine while Rex enjoys the view.

3. Third most comments Woven Together — Cody/Echo/Fives/Rex, Everyone Lives Clone Rebellion AU. This one really surprised me because I did not think this fic did well at all. I enjoyed writing it but it just felt like it didn't connect with people. I know you're supposed to write for yourself and ignore the numbers and all that jazz, but part of sharing your work is also sharing in the enjoyment of it with others. When it feels like that doesn't happen, it can be really disheartening. I've been in a mental and writing slump since and haven't been able to write anything much, or anything overly decent. Hopefully that buggers off soon because I've got so many other WIPs and fics planned for this year.

4. Fourth most bookmarks 5. Fisting (Bacara/Fox/Neyo/Wolffe) — Like all of my Kinktober 2024 fics, this is also pretty much what it says on the tin. Fox has a lovely time.

5. Fifth most words 13. Dom/Sub (Fox/Dogma) — Corrie Guard Dogma, who is also Fox's sub. This is one of my favourite fics that I've written because it's so soft and full of care and comfort. Light angst with a happy ending, hurt/comfort, and Dogma gets the hug (or heat pats) he needs. I think this is also the first basically non-sexual bdsm I've written, which I didn't realise until after I'd finished. It just ended up going in that direction. I really wanted to write a continuation from Fox's perspective but sadly never managed it.

6. Fic with the fewest words 3. Vibrator (Dogma/Hardcase/Tup) — I'll let part of the summary speak for this one: "Hardcase and Tup turn Dogma into a limp, drooling mess."

you ever feel like you're doing tropey things associated with That One Ship the fandom likes but you usually don't feel like it's in-character except that in the situation you're creating it's a perfectly reasonable thing to happen, or is it just me?

With the amount of Clones created, there was always going to be an overlap of names.

Marshall Commander Cody of the 212th was not the only Cody.

Jesse of the 501st shared a name with many soldiers across many battalions.

There were so many Foxes, younger Clones naming themselves after the Marshall Commander of the Coruscant Guards in a bout of hero worship.

But there was a set of Clones on each Venator that, after passing their normal tests and combat training, went into specialized training before their assignments. A majority of them didn’t have names before the specialized training, and those that did, weren’t really attached to their names and chose their new names amongst the others they worked with.

Obi-Wan met them on the flight deck, the group disembarking from the drop ship and saluting the Jedi.

All of them would join in on the battles and train with the others during hyperspace flight, but it was fairly quick to see that these soldiers worked together in a specific way.

“May I know your names?” Obi-Wan asked. He was still hesitant in asking, knowing names could be a private thing amongst the soldiers.

“My name is Spoon, sir!”

“Cup, sir!”

“I’m called Whisk!”

Eyebrows rose, and a glance to Cody told Obi-Wan that this group was a bit of a surprise to him.

“Are all of you working in the mess hall?” Obi-Wan, not bothering to hide his amusement.

“Of course, sir,” Whisk answered. “We’re all trained in ways to make the nutripaste more appealing, and not to give the soldiers food poisoning. We also know how and what to hunt and forage in case we run low on supplies during a campaign.”

“I see,” Obi-Wan said. And it did make sense. Many Padawans got the same training, especially if their missions took them to the more remote planets.

Obi-Wan continued to smile as he got the names of Fork, Lid, Pan, Pot, and Kettle, but he paused when he heard a second Spoon. He glanced back at the first one for a moment before looking at the second one.

“It’s not often that squad mates share a name,” he offered.

The second Spoon shrugged. “You can call me little Spoon if it helps, sir, but it’s silly if a kitchen only has one Spoon in it.”

The snort of amusement from Cody was more surprising than anything, and Obi-Wan accepted the explanation with a nod and chuckle of his own.

For a short description of myself, I'm 5'6, short blond hair, and I'm just really lanky for whatever reason LMAO I'm like 80% leg

for the personality description, I'm an INFP (I'm an ambivert but- still). I also connect with people really easily, but I have like anxiety and dysmorphia and things like that that make it really hard to figure out both how I look and how well I'm communicating to other people. On the upside though, I love doing tons of stuff with friends and will literally plan like going to the movies or something out of nowhere so that's fun! My main love language is touch as well so there is that!

hobbies. hoo boy there's a lot. I enjoy playing guitar probably the most though! I draw and paint a lot as well, though, and I write occasionally. I enjoy walking, though I usually only like it with another person. I also enjoy watching horror while I do other things- like cleaning or anything, I'll have a horror video on in the background.

I have so many ocs to choose from which makes this a little hard but it's all good! I'm pretty shy and awkward so it's okay you have no need to apologise! But you're more than welcome to send asks whenever you want! :) The longer the better, it makes it a little easier since there's over ten ocs that I could choose from, ten isn't the exact amount of course. I've seen a few people do something similar so I wanted to give this a try, I'm hoping to do more of these! Thank you, don't forget to take care of yourself! :)

Skunker wasn't the first one to come to mind but we'll talk about him real quick. He's also an ambivert but he leans more towards being a extrovert (after umbara it's kinda complicated but i'm gonna try and avoid angst!) He's very people smart, and he always amazes people with this. If you ever need reassurance he's got you! Skunks can read people incredibly well even if you're hard to read, this boy can see right through you which is a big part of his character so i'll add it here. If you ever plan something out of nowhere, he's more than up for it especially if he gets to spend more time with you. Skunker is very touchy but he knows when to back off, and consent is key otherwise he just won't! He'd love to listen to you playing the guitar, it calms him down so much. Skunker will go for hikes whenever he can, and will invite you if you're up for it, try get him into horror he just wants to learn about your interests.

Skunker doesn't have an ideal date really he just wants to spend time with you, quality time is his love language and it shows. Keep in mind sometimes he gets lost in his own head, and you might have to pull him out of it before he loses it and kinda goes haywire. He notices things very quickly, even the small things.

Please let him read to you. Also be aware he kinda shows off, mainly to annoy Barks who he has constant problems with.

The blunt medic who has really bad insomnia, he's too busy caring about others to care about himself. While he is an introvert he's okay with people, but at times he just doesn't wanna deal with them so keep this in mind. If there's anything he can do to help with your anxiety and dysmorphia he will. He just wants to make your life a little bit easier. Barks occasionally has dizzy spells and passes out, but he won't tell you since he doesn't want to concern you, to him it's nothing. Even if he hasn't slept in days he'd still love to do anything with you, movies anything he's up for it. Barks would absolutely love to see you paint, he thinks it's so cool he loves your interests he just wants you to be happy.

People expect him to not to be able to stomach horror but thanks to trauma they don't really bother him but he'll learn about your favourites, just wait and he'll tell you a bunch of facts from what he learnt. He kinda looks like an excited puppy, it's nice to see for a bit he doesn't look absolutely exhausted.

If you've had a rough day he'll set up a pillow fort with lots of blankets pillows, fairy lights, your favourite snacks, favourite drinks and movies. Barks could be exhausted but he doesn't care, he could feel like shit but you're his priority. You might be concerned about how much caf he's drunk so he can do this but he wants to help so he doesn't care screw his health he'll live. He drinks enough caf to kill a person and he knows it.

Will support you through everything, he's a little crazy he's bubbly as hell. Whenever you plan something out of nowhere, it's all good he likes it he never knows what to expect, he likes surprises. He'd paint with you, during your walks he'd show you some amazing spots especially at sunset. Will only ever compliment you if you're okay with it, he doesn't want to make you uncomfortable okay :((

He's not touchy right away, he's so scared of scaring you away. His ideal date is just spending time with you, he'll sit down for hours and annotate a book for you, he'll write in the margins. Whenever he comes home safe he gives you a glowstick of a different colour, throughout your time knowing him you'll have so many. He hopes you don't judge him for it.

Glowstick would rather listen to you than speak most of the time, he's just super hesitant. He's not shy or anything like that but he just loves to hear anything you have to say, overtime you'll hear him speak more. He's such a big fan of you, your presence is very calming to him. He'll watch horror with you, and he will do research but more than Barks. He loves absolutely everything about you.

Cody, seeing that, decides that he wants None Of That, because he relies on facial cues from his commanding officer to determine what's going on in their head and how best to work alongside them

so he launches a campaign, recruiting the members of the battalion to get Any Reaction At All from their Jedi and meticulously record his responses to their different offered stimuli

Obi-Wan, right when he was starting to relax enough to let the mask slip a bit, is terribly confused about why Cody keeps handing him salted coffee, and why all the furniture in his quarters seems to have been moved two inches to the left, and how his underlayers were returned from the ship's laundry filled with itching powder, and how the medics keep dousing him with water unexpectedly, and how the troopers of Ghost Company keep engineering excuses to take off their shirts around him

he therefore resolves to maintain his No Reaction mask until he figures out what is causing these bizarre mixed signals from his troops, not even acknowledging these antics whenever possible

of course, this only serves to embolden the troopers to go to more extreme lengths

a few months into this pattern of escalation, the 212th is assigned a joint mission with the 91st; Mace is baffled, and Ponds is horrified, at the utter mayhem that they witness, both on and off the battlefield
