Thank you so much for noticing my MB posts, sending this ask + your patience while I answered it. Here’s a two part response.

First, the condensed version of @fuzzballsheltiepants' sales pitch which hooked me:

OK SO! Take an agender, asexual, snarky and sarcastic autistic human-robot construct who has been a slave for its entire life, give it found family, freedom, and anxiety, and turn it loose in a universe in which almost nobody is white or straight. Add a talking spaceship and a background anti-capitalistic message and voila! Brilliance!

Second, my experience of the series:

I don't read Sci-Fi. At all. Ditto anything to do w/robots or AI. Not even much fantasy. I cannot overstate this. Partially it's because space-as-a-concept creeps me out: it's literally untethered from the Earth, there's no sunlight + so.many.stories take place in small spaces. All three of those aspects disturb me. Machines + AI do not engage me. Finally, I came of age when when a lot of SciFi was written by white cis het men. Navigating misogyny + patriarchy in daily life was enough; I wasn't interested in reading about a future where these two systemic forces had not been replaced with something more equitable. (NOTE: I am reading an Octavia Butler book (Kindred) + I KNOW: Ursula K LeGuin, but haven't gotten there yet. I've also watched The Martian (enjoyed it very much) + some other similar movies, but only because someone lobbied me hard to do so.) HOWEVER. H O W E V E R. I looooooove this series. This came as a HUGE surprise! The aspect of MB's journey I resonate most DeEpLy with is its quest to disconnect from being programmed by unseen forces + instead take responsibility for its own agency. D A M N, if that hasn't been the story of my life these past 5 years, especially this last one. Another thing which surprised me --someone allergic to sarcasm-- I LOVE ITS SARCASTIC HUMOUR! I LOVE witnessing MB learn how to interact w/others. I LOVE many of the other characters.

There you go dear one! I cannot say anything more because it would spoil YOU from enjoying the experience yourself. I hope you take the plunge + then circle back to tell me about YOUR experience w/the series, trusting that if you don't like it, that's OK too!

Holding Former Government Officials Accountable for Election Interference and Improper Disclosure of Sensitive Governmental Information

Issued January 20, 2025.

By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, it is hereby ordered:

Section 1. Purpose. In the closing weeks of the 2020 Presidential campaign, at least 51 former intelligence officials coordinated with the Biden campaign to issue a letter discrediting the reporting that President Joseph R. Biden's son had abandoned his laptop at a computer repair business. Signatories of the letter falsely suggested that the news story was part of a Russian disinformation campaign.

Before being issued, the letter was sent to the CIA Prepublication Classification Review Board, the body typically assigned to formally evaluate the sensitive nature of documents prior to publication. Senior CIA officials were made aware of the contents of the letter, and multiple signatories held clearances at the time and maintained ongoing contractual relationships with the CIA.

Federal policymakers must be able to rely on analysis conducted by the Intelligence Community and be confident that it is accurate, crated with professionalism, and free from politically motivated engineering to affect political outcomes in the United States. The signatories willfully weaponized the gravitas of the Intelligence Community to manipulate the political process and undermine our democratic institutions. This fabrication of the imprimatur of the Intelligance Community to suppress information essential to the American people during a Presidential election is an egregious breach of trust reminiscent of a third world country. And now the faith of Americans in all other patriotic intelligence professionals who are sworn to protect the Nation has been imperiled.

National security is also damaged by the publication of classified information. Former National Security Advisor John R. Bolton published a memoir for monetary gain after he was terminated from his White House position in 2019. The book was rife with sensitive information drawn from his time in government. The memoir's reckless treatment of sensitive information undermined the ability of future presidents to request and obtain candid advice on matters of national security from their staff. Publication also created a grave risk that classified material was publicly exposed.

To remedy these abuses of the public trust, this Order directs the revocation of any active or current security clearances held by: (i) the former intelligence officials who engaged in misleading and inappropriate political coordination with the 2020 Biden presidential campaign; and (ii) John R. Bolton.

Sec. 2. Policy. (a) It is the policy of the United States to ensure that the Intelligence Community not be engaged in partisan politics or otherwise used by a U.S. political campaign for electioneering purposes. The term "Intelligence Community" has the meaning given the term in section 3003 of title 50, United States Code.

(b) It is the policy of the United States that classified information not be publicly disclosed in memoirs, especially those published for personal monetary gain.

Sec. 3. Implementation. (a) Effective immediately, the Director of National Intelligence, in consultation with the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, shall revoke any current or active clearances held by the following individuals:

(b) Within 90 days of this order, the Director of National Intelligence, in consultation with the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, shall submit a report to the President through the National Security Advisor that details:

(i) any additional inappropriate activity that occured within the Intelligence Community or by anyone who held a security clearance, related to the letter signed by the 51 former intelligence officials;

(ii) recommendations to prevent the Intelligence Community or anyone who works for or within it from inappropriately influencing domestic elections; and

(iii) any disciplinary action--including the termination of security clearances--that should be taken against anyone who engaged in inappropriate conduct related to the letter signed by the 51 former intelligence officials.

Sec. 4. General Provisions. (a) Nothing in this order shall be construed to impair or otherwise affect:

(i) the authority granted by law to an executive department or agency, or the head thereof; or

(ii) the functions of the Director of the Office of Management and Budget relating to budgetary, administrative, or legislative proposals.

(b) This order shall be implemented consistent with applicable law and subject to the availability of appropriations.

(c) This order is not intended to, and does not, create any right or benefit, substantive or procedural, enforceable at law or in equity by any party against the United States, its departments, agencies, or entities, its officers, employees, or agents, or any other person.

FINAL REPORT / ADVANCED DESIGN LAB - I

OVERVIEW. OBJECTIVES

Pfizer or Moderna, Janssen, Sputnik V or Astra Zeneca?

These questions become more relevant with the advent of winter.

In parallel with them, we often ask ourselves the question: are they all necessary at all? Isn't it all a matter of psychosis and unnecessary panic? What are the risks of applying vaccines to us?

Unfortunately, such doubts are not without reason: recently, a lot of data has come out in which the increased risk of heart attack after the use of the above-mentioned vaccines is taken into account.

Since the beginning of November, there have been debates in the British Parliament (as well as in the European Parliament) about deaths and serious illnesses caused directly by vaccines. This year, 16% more (young) people have died from heart disease than in previous years (before the 2020s) at the same time.

While more and more people are asking themselves whether and how much vaccination is really necessary the government campaign continues - widely covered by the mass media (even in some poorer countries of the European Union instead of being free the vaccine is sold and only the traders and private entrepreneurs have profit from it.)

This necessitates a rethinking of the strategy to combat the Covid-19 virus.

In order to avoid the above-mentioned possible doubts and to instill confidence in our customers, we decided to present a completely new concept of covid-19 prevention, emphasising the fact that more timely awareness of the meaning of such prevention could be more effective than vaccination 2-3 or 4 times in a row in one season.

On the other hand, we well know that nowadays the world is changing very fast in many ways: technological, political, economic, social, cultural, and that all these processes require a new reflection. That is why our aim is the new design vision of our product (as well as to our collateral products) to adequately reflects this times.

So, our Covid-19 response focuses on two priority objectives:

presenting a bright and distinctive visual identity for a series of risk-reducing products that reflects our understanding that prevention is better than vaccination;

supporting health authorities in their efforts to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

I. R E S E A R C H & D I S C O V E R Y

INTRODUCTION

We will try to trace the essence of the problem with the Covid-19 virus - from its origin, through its spread and its transformation into a global threat. We will look at the symptoms of the disease and attempts to limit it, including preventive ones.) We will try to answer the question of what turns this disease into a global pandemic.

For this purpose, we will use several types of research:

reviewing and referring to facts from global capacities in the field of medicine, such as the World Health Organization and Doctors Without Borders;

using E. Bono's Six Thinking Hats Approach to organize some initial ideas on an emotional level; as well as

mapping to determine the stakeholders involved in the process and the opportunity to preserve our environment ecologically in the process of implementing our project.

1/ WHAT IS IT

The site of World Health Organization (World Health Organization, 2023) proven that Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

The statement of Doctors without borders (msf.org. uk, 2023) stands behind the position that COVID-19 is a viral disease that affects the respiratory system.

Anyone can get sick with COVID-19 and become seriously ill or die at any age.

On 11 March 2020 The World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a pandemic.

2/WHERE IS IT Humanity & Inclusion UK stands behind the fact that there are now more than 5 million confirmed cases in 188 countries and territories around the world, and the figure keeps rising (Humanity & Inclusion UK,2023)

3/HOW DO YOU GET IT

The site of World Health Organization (World Health Organization, 2023) also give information that the virus can spread from an infected person’s mouth or nose in small liquid particles when they cough, sneeze, speak, sing or breathe. These particles range from larger respiratory droplets to smaller aerosols. It is important to stay home and self-isolate until you recover if you feel unwell.

4/ DETECTION

Faster, simpler virus detection happens directly with biological samples.

5/ SYMPTOMS

Most common symptoms: fever, cough, tiredness, loss of taste or smell, racing pulse.

Less common symptoms: sore throat, headache, diarrhoea, a rash on skin, or discolouration of fingers or toes, red or irritated eyes.

6/HOW DO YOU TREAT IT

Again the site of World Health Organization (World Health Organization, 2023) announce that Most people infected with the virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. However, some will become seriously ill and require medical attention. Older people and those with co-morbidities such as diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular disease, being over weight, chronic respiratory disease like asthma and cardiac obstructive pulmonary disease are more likely to develop serious illness.

People with mild symptoms who are otherwise healthy should manage their symptoms at home.

7/OTHER DISEASES ASSOCIATED WITH IT

Many people suffer relatively mild, flu-like symptoms following infection but that a minority of patients following infection develop pneumonia and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), which can be fatal because affect the lungs.

8/PREVENTION

Always follow up-to-date information on the development of the disease from reliable sources.

Keep a distance of 1 meter from others.

Wear a mask in public.

Wash your hands often and use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

Get vaccinated.

Fake news and misinformation can be dangerous!

Fake news, especially shared on social media platforms, can undermine scientific advice and disrupt public health approaches to reducing the spread of the COVID-19 virus. For example, misinformation has been spreading that the pandemic is a hoax or not as serious as governments are making it out to be. This can lead to people not wanting to follow the prevention rules (wearing face masks, observe physical distancing or following other measures that their countries advise.)

GOOD NEWS!

The centenarian Captain Tom Moore, received a knighthood in May 2020. He became famous and loved throughout Britain for his efforts to raise funds for the NHS.

The Digital Arts Magazine proved that in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, New York's Poster House museum teamed up with PRINT Magazine, Times Square Arts, and For Freedoms to launch a citywide public art campaign featuring PSAs and messages of love, gratitude, and solidarity with New York City’s frontline workers.(Digital Arts,2020)

DON'T PANIC!

We shouldn't panic about contaminated surfaces. Studies that showed how long the COVID-19 virus could last on surfaces, such as plastic and metal, led to concern that touching contaminated surfaces could be a way to become infected. Now it is clear that although people may pick up the virus if they touch infected surfaces and then touch their face, it is not thought to be the main way the virus is transmitted. However, hand-washing and hand sanitizing remains important because respiratory droplets from an infected person's sneezes or coughs could still land on our hands. Remember: before all prevention is the best selfdefense!

HOLISTIC VIEW

The covid-19 virus is not invincible. As can be seen, every year the number of infected /sick / dead is decreasing. So it is better treat it amicably, through prevention, rather than taking it as some super danger. Design should reflect this understanding of ours.

! Note: Do not use masks in the design. Our design should emphasize the medical treatment/prevention/, not the physical measures being applied.

We are still not sure about many circumstances surrounding the origin of the virus: where and how it originated (from a laboratory or from an animal); how it is transmitted and why it mainly covers the regions of Asia (China), Europe and America, but not Africa. State Governments and the World Health Organisation are trying to find answers to these questions. But one thing is certain: this virus MUST be stopped.

HOW?

By finding a position /sentence/ around which everyone can unite.

SUMMARY & CONCLUSION ON THIS STAGE :

Аfter the conducted research and examination of the facts, it was found that the application of vaccination remains the most popular measure in the fight against Covid-19.

But also the doubt still remains whether it is the most effective one?!

The feeling remains that much more effort is being put into urging the population to get vaccinated than emphasizing the power of preventive protection and the benefits of prevention, which (a trend) we believe should change.

II. D E V E L O P M E N T

DISCRIPTION

DESIGN PROBLEM:

In the overall strategy to fight Covid-19, efforts are almost entirely focused on vaccination, and prevention has received too little attention - both in terms of research, investment and advertising. We believe this needs to change and will focus our efforts on creating a bold, bright, eye-catching visual identity for a series of preventative products that reduce risk and prepare the autoimmune system to overcome the potential risk of Covid-19 infection.

Our brand must reflect the understanding that prevention can be more effective than vaccination.

PROJECT NAME: PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN VACCINATION

CLIENT : NHS / UK

DESCRIPTION :

Considering the fact that our target group is very wide both in terms of age range and demographic indicators, we will try to build a framework for the measurement, focusing on the most vulnerable and at-risk segment of this group: that of the moderately to severely immunocompromised , due to their medical condition, people, and pensioners (65+).

OUR INTENT:

We will apply what we have learned from our user research to our proposed design for preventive medical products to support health authorities in their preventive efforts to reduce the risk of contracting Covid-19.

METHODOLOGY:

We will use a desktop research as well as a round of user surveys.

1/ Looking at the problem from a human point of view would help even more accuracy in finding its solution. That's why we will try to build an emotional connection with users over 65 by creating an Empathy Map.

We will put ourselves in the place of these users and try to understand their emotional and rational needs to help the future package of products that will be provided to them.

2/ To get a feel for the perspective of the other segment of at-risk users, those with co-morbidities, we will conduct user research known as Build Personas.

We will select three user "models" that reflect different social groups and look at them in detail according to their needs, motivations, habits, desires, fears, then we will recreate a user experience scenario where we will "set" the models to perform certain "tasks" in the context of the future product. Finally, we will consider their requirements and reflect them in the final result.

Gene drive can be explained as a phenomenon whereby a particular gene via genetic engineering methods biases inheritance in its favour (more than the Mendelian 50:50 inheritance chance) resulting in the gene becoming more prevalent in the population over successive generations. The speed of this process is inversely correlated to the generation time of the organism, eg: it is faster in mosquitoes with a generation time of 2-4 weeks than in whales with generation time of 50 years or more.

This idea is mostly being explored as a potentially durable and cost effective strategy for controlling the transmission of deadly vector-borne diseases that effect millions of people worldwide such as malaria, dengue, Zika virus, or to eliminate herbicide or pesticide resistance. Eg: The Cas9 mediated gene drive led by Gantz et. al. in the mosquito population by introgression of parasite-resistance genes, thereby modifying the ability of the vector to transmit the pathogen.

Though the dangers of this technology cannot be overlooked. One of the ideas was a suggestion to use CRISPR gene editing technology to avert extinction of endangered wildlife by spreading a fertility reducing gene in the other animals competing against them for resources. This with time turned from an innovative idea to a perilious one, as demonstrated in a CRISPR-Cas9 gene drive targetted at genes that control the differentiation of the two sexes of the Anopheles gambiae mosquitoes. Leaving the males unaffected it decreased the fertility of the female mosquitoes. The gene rapidly spread reaching 100% prevalence within 7-11 generation to the point of total population collapse despite various Cas9-resistant genes arising in each generation.

With just a few of these engineered organisms our ecosystem could be altered, irrevocably.

mmm I was scrolling Twitter and I saw multiple posts on how Techno is too OP in the DSMP (or well I'm gonna dive into in the "generally-" part too, I suppose?). And because of class and boredom, yeeeeeeeaaaahhhhh .

The one obvious reason the guy is so OP in the storyline (and in general, to be honest) is preparation.

**There's the side of "for plot" which understandable, it was scripted for him to win (<< example). But otherwise, Techno plans and prepares.

There's a literal Sun Tzu quote "Let your plans be as dark and impenetrable as night and when you move, fall like a thunderbolt". It applies.

It's the grind (m a n). Techno is willing to grind the gunpowder (+ other) for the fireworks.

Even though CC!Techno procrastinated on getting the netherite for the armour during the coup (Pogtopia v Manberg), he got them in the end and even enchanted the armour with weak enchantments just so it'd be easier to fight the person wearing it later on

(I can't tell whether it's just because he – and in extension, c!Techno – didn't have enough time to get the levels or he expected it, but I'm leaning towards the latter).

"I didn't put depth strider on those boots, Fundy!" Is a good example of – he saw this coming and acted accordingly (to his motives).

Another is positioning (PvP and odds, to put it that way) + practice. I put on his bedwars / skywars videos as background sound for homework, and sometimes watch them, because Techno content is s c a r c e lmao.

His first time playing bedwars: he was hesitant and inexperienced, definitely, but the dude decided he wanted to corner the bedwars market and, well, he did.

He's definitely confident while playing bedwars now. He would move his position just so he could knock the players into the void / off the map or into a position where the player is unable to do anything, for that matter.

I'd make, like, a parallel? Comparison?To real life of how your positioning in fencing / hand-to-hand matters? Just like parkour too, if you don't position yourself correctly, you'll face the consequences: getting hurt (or like in bedwars , having to respawn lmao). But then again, I don't know too much about fencing, fighting, or like parkour in gen, so I won't say much.

As for in Skywars, he knows when he couldn't win and he runs unless he's cornered into a position where fleeing isn't an option. He knows he wouldn't be able to win the fight and he leaves, get better gear and only then he'll take his chances because his chances are either even or in his favour (most of the time, the latter).

This could be seen during the execution (it's scripted but still-) His armour has been confiscated/taken. He doesn't have his weapons when he's being executed. He isn't in a great position, no armour, no weapons, no means of escape that wouldn't result in death –

**Okay well, if, it were possible, he could've ran back into his house and put on his spare netherite set and leave but then Ghostbur was there, and it's Ghostbur-. He could've possibly just hopped off the boat and swam back but then I'm not sure whether or not anyone in the Butcher Army had a trident or not so... Also, it's scripted and plot so eh.

– wouldn't result in death (at least before Dream and Punz came by). So he does the thing where anyone with common sense would do, he uses the Totem and he runs.

And to wrap up this part is the practice. He practiced speed bridging which is quicker and more efficient than 45-degree bridging. The bedwars win streak + Skywars + having PvP experience and practice with Fruitberries, TapL etc. This stacks up on experience man.

This is like, a small thing, but if: Quackity v Technoblade, but they have the same armour and weapon enchants, plus potion effects. It's fair (in preparation, not skill). Technoblade would've won, since he has much more experience in PvP, the guy mains it, pretty much, but Quackity would've at least had the chance to escape.

JUNE COMEBACKS REVIEW

BLACKPINK: HOW YOU LIKE THAT

ngl I’m kinda sad bc a lot of y’all don’t like the song ;-; but I can’t do anything about it since it’s your opinion so

but I hope that people know the difference between hating and giving criticism saying the song sucks and that it’s trash music is straight up music

I can get why people are disappointed with the song since everyone wanted almost the same thing, “jennie getting a rap part”, “jisoo saying blackpink in your area” and a high note from rosé

personally I really like the song, to me it’s not the same as dddd and ktl tbh I think it’s different

plus I kinda expected it to be like that bc their songs usually follow that yg style ya know the only songs I say that don’t follow that stereotypical yg style is “love scenario”, “stay” and AKMU’s songs

i mean if you compare the song with other yg artists song, they all have the same vibe to it because of the “yg style” we always say

the song also gives me nct and skz vibes too, like specifically “punch” and “side effects” bc of the heavy edm and also bc their songs has been called noise before dhshd

but enough of that

I really like how the song starts calmly in the beginning and then it starts to be more aggressive

also I like the fact that each of the girls get a chance to say “how you like that”

personally I feel like this time it had more of a fairer distribution, including lines and center parts

like jisoo actually gets some center parts in the dance break and chorus

i also really like the outfits this era, especially the modernized hanboks! though I have mix feelings about the pink wig dhshdh

overall, I really like the song, if you don’t it’s fine! hylt has the most aesthetic mv’s I’ve seen and the outfits are so much better and it has been said that BLACKPINK’s old stylist left the company in January no not maeng

lisa’s fur coat outfit reminds me of yeji’s outfit in wannabe

would I say that hylt is their best song? no, I think playing with fire was their best song but it’s not a terrible song either

if y’all don’t know what happened with twice, a lot of people are criticizing twice for not singing live during their encore stages

I’ve watched their encore stages and I don’t know why people are saying they sound bad???? maybe they need a better vocal coach but the fact that people are taking advantages of the situation just to hate on them smh

if “dance the night away” had an older sister, it would be “more & more”

also I really like the eve & adam concept, “more & more” is also another “creepy”ish song that is hidden behind a catchy tune, like “yes or yes” where ppl think it’s a cute song but the lyrics says otherwise

okay actually writing this out, it’s mv has “dtna” vibe but the song is so much like “yes or yes”

if you read the lyrics, the girls are basically saying that “no matter how hard you try to hide, you’re going to be mine again”

even in dahyun’s rap she says “I’m naturally selfish, I’m sorry if you didn’t know” and “you will fall for me, you can’t say no no”

it’s almost the same as her part in “yes or yes” where she says “there is no letters n and o” dhshdh sorry this becam a whole theory

back the real song review, I’m so glad that momo got a dance break! I think that this is their fairest line distribution yet. jeongyeon got her lines, dubchaeng got their rap parts and momo has a lot of center parts!!

and the girls look so much happier during their promotions especially tzuyu! she was smiling so much, maybe it’s because mina is with them and I’m so happy they get to perform as nine again

i really like their choreography and the part where they do the chest bounce is really satisfying idk why dhsdh

plus jeongyeon got better outfits this era cough feel special era cough

overall, I really like this comeback and it’s nice that nayeon got the high notes this time instead of jihyo

oh boy this is definitely my favorite song of this month

it’s so much different than their other songs!!!

and there’s so much to go on about!

wonyoung, minju, sakura and hyewon literally improved so much. im so proud of them !!!

wonyoung and yujin's expressions are really on point as well

it’s refreshing to see how the girls improved

unfortunately, izone will be disbanding this year ;-; this is why I never liked the produce series

but we do have some ideas what will happen to the members though, we all know yena will be added into everglow, i having a feeling that eunbi and chaeyeon will be debuting as a soloist, they have so much potential plus the radiate chungha energy

nako, hitomi and sakura would most likely return to Japan, although I see sakura staying in korea to pursue an acting career and hitomi as a producer since she wrote some of izone’s songs

yuri might debut as a solo or debut in a new girl group as main vocalists, the same goes for chaewon

i see minju and hyewon going into acting careers and CF contracts, the same as kang mina, especially since minju is now an mc for music core

whereas for wonyoung and yujin, their both still young so I think they’ll finish school before re-debuting in groups plus yujin will be attending sopa

especially wonyoung, we all know that she’s actually really smart and is good at academics, i also think she might do modeling work, she fits the criteria

i also kinda see yujin pursuing an acting career because she will be in the theatre and film department in sopa. unless starship is going to debut a new girl group, I hope that yujin can debut as a soloist instead

I am in love with Lucy, Lua and Sei’s “nonono” part in the chorus

this is my second favorite song of the month

I love the whole horror concept and I also like the fact that they released the uncensored version of the mv

I’m new to Nature and as far as I know, a member is stuck in China and another member sat out due to an injury. please correct me if I’m wrong

the outfits might be simple, but it fits so right with the song, I prefer the white dresses over the black ones

it kinda gives out the feeling that the girls are like asylum patients ya know, whereas the black dresses gives out that the girls are rich daughters that were sent away

I really like LU and Haru’s parts

the dance is also kinda a simple but it looks great!
