Scooby-Doo Halloween Monster/Ghost/Ghoul Countdown #13

We’ve come to the end of my Halloween countdown of my thirteen favorite Scooby-Doo Monster/Ghost/Ghouls. Taking the thirteen spot is not one, not two but the thirteen foulest specters and ghouls on Earth. That’s right. The Thirteen Ghost of the Chest of Demon.

The Thirteen Ghosts appeared in “The Thirteen Ghost of Scooby-Doo!”

According to legend, the Thirteen Ghost were the most terrifying ghosts whoever existed on the face of the Earth. They were eventually captured and sealed away in the Chest of Demons until the ghosts Bogel and Weerd were able to trick Scooby and Shaggy into opening the chest, unleashing the ghost. Scooby and Shaggy were informed by sorcerer Vincent Van Ghoul that as they had been the ones to release the demons, only they could return the demons to the Chest of Demons. Along with Dalphe, Scrappy and new friend Flimflam, Scooby and the team set out to capture the Thirteen Ghost aided by Vincent and his magic.

The Thirteen Ghost varied in appearance. Some like Queen Morbidia, Nekara and Professor Phantazmo looked human. Zomba, Demondo, Rankor and Zimbulu and Asmodeus looked like demons. Captain Ferguson and the Refelctor Spector were ghosts. Maldor, Marcella and Time Slime looked ghoulish.

Each were capable of using and casting dark magic and some like Captain Ferguson, Phantazmo and Nekara were able to conceal their true form from humans. All thirteen were able to speak and despite being locked away for hundreds of years had no issue interacting within the modern world after their release.

All of the Thirteen Ghost were dangerous and were not willing to let Scooby and the gang stand in their way. Each employed their dark powers and other monsters and ghouls to try to stop Scooby and crew and retrieve the Chest of Demons. Zombra employed several monsters in her takeover of the local TV station. Phantazmo had a circus of ghouls under his control. Captain Ferguson had a whole cruise boat of ghosts and ghouls. Marcella employed the Bromski Sisters, three witch sisters to do her biding. Throughout the series Bogel and Weerd aide several of the ghosts in their schemes. The actions of the Thirteen Ghosts were so bad that it did real harm to Scooby’s psyche to the point where he even left the team for a time.

“The Thirteen Ghost of Scooby-Doo!” while a nice break from the traditional Scooby-Doo formula of bad guys in masks, it wasn’t able to escape the traditional of stories filles with plot holes. The biggest one is that the series only ran for thirteen episodes but only twelve of the Thirteen Ghosts were shown. The series was canceled in order to make room for the new series ‘’A Pup Named Scooby-Doo’’ so we never got to see the final ghost. This lose thread wouldn’t be addresses until the movie, “The Thirteenth Ghost of Scooby-Doo’’ which sadly did more harm than good to the legacy of “The Thirteen Ghost of Scooby-Doo!” It was also never clearly stated which ghost in "Ship of Ghouls" was meant to one of the Thirteen Ghost. I go along with Captain Ferguson being the Chest of Demons ghost and not the Cyclone Demon.

Another plot hole is that while they’re called the Thirteen Ghost, the majority of them don’t look like ghosts. They’re described as being both ghosts and demos by different characters throughout the series. We also never learn how Bogel and Weerd came to be associated with the Chest of Demons and the ghosts. No true origins are given to the Thirteen Ghost, and we never learn how they had originally been captured or what truly made them the thirteen foulest specters and ghouls on Earth the thirteen foulest specters and ghouls on Earth. I think it would have been better had the series lasted longer so we could have seen the ghosts interact with Scooby and the gang more before they were captured. They could have had their backstories explained and that would have helped flesh them out a little bit more.

Still, the Thirteen Ghost are among the best and delightfully wicked ghosts, ghouls and monsters in the classic Scooby-Doo franchise.

Finals week got me thinking about college au Teddy ghost,,,

Simon had him and you all convinced that it was just sex and nothing more.

“No attachment.” He always said, everytime — sometimes so hurried and forgotten that it's just mumbled against your mouth before he's shoving his tongue down your throat.

Sometimes with so much urgency that it's lost between your moans, no attachment, babe, no attachment. And you believed him because it was really just sex, wasn't it ? There were no pretty dates and no fancy dinner at ritz, maybe those poorly wrapped ones he pretended he had not ordered and takeouts he brought along...but oh please, no attachments!

But maybe sometimes about those walks in the city where he would not so subtly grasp your hand, and you would catch him stealing glances at you while a teenager fiddled with his guitar, rhyming she came, my world lit with narcotic, I am addict.

No attachment but Simon's standing outside your workspace when it's raining —“I thought you might need it.” holding up the umbrella but those two words were there again when you were knee deep in the passanger seat and he was eating you out... because it was casual, right ? No attachment.

And it really didn't burn and ached until you got sick, real sick — puking your guts out and coughing until your ribs gave up, surely he wasn't the best role model of no attachment when he was panting to death as he picked your unconscious frame from the floor, you still remember the faint whisper of his ‘please don't leave me, please, please don't —’ over and over.

And if he wanted for no attachment then he should be gone. Gone and not come back because it was just sex...

Simon shouldn't be mopping the floor, and stirring your soup and touching your forehead every five minutes.

No attachment then why he's loading your grocery and taking out trash and doing your laundry, why he's wiping your tears and telling you it's going to be alright.

Why he's not leaving like he always did because there were no attachment right, but he's right here, tucking you in bed and washing your hair and reading you book.

“Is it some eccentric joke ? Why this Zaid is always growling ?—also when you get alright... we're gonna try it out, lovie.”

You blushed, but it wasn't just what he was suggesting but that word, it felt good.

“S-say it again.” You whispered, shifting your head in pillow. Simon turned back a page he was reading from, your scrunchie on his wrist.

“Zaid growled—” You screwed your face,“—oh, we'll try it—”

“last word. Your last word.”

“Oh.” He said, “Lovie...you don't like it ?”

You shaked your head, sniffing very unsexy-ly

“Call me that...I love it.” Simon pushed up the book up his face, his neck was pulsing with his many veins and you knew the blush that would be blooming on his hard face. Cute.

“Again.” You tilted your head, to get a look at his flushed out face.

“Okay Lovie...sleep now.” He grumbled, flicking your bedside lamp off and bookmarking the book with one of your scrunchie he removed from his wrist.

“Huh...Good night baby.” You said, waiting to be corrected, waiting for those two words to come and upside down it all.

But they never came, like they never even existed, never had a meaning to them at all.

No attachment, lost forever in darkness.

“G'night lovie.” He said so sweetly, and when you closed your eyes this time, you only saw daylight.

The Fentonworks Mega-Lab.

So! AU where the Fentonworks Labs actually stretch Miles upon Miles below the City of Amity Park.

It started when the Fentons wanted to add a simple addition to the original Lab when they ran out of space to store their more dangerous weapons. They didn't want their (at the time) young children getting their hands on their experimental Weaponry, it could blow up in their faces!

So they built a different Wing of the Lab to hold all those Inventions.

Then they ran out of space and added a few extra Storage Rooms. But then they decided it was a hassle to have to carefully transport their Dangerous Inventions all the way to the Storage Rooms, and built a Lab specifically for Dangerous Experiments near that same Section. Then that Lab was occupied for a while, and Jack wanted to start a different experiment as well, so they built a few more.

In the end they just never stopped building onto their Labs.

There are sections of the Mega-Lab that are entirely walled off because a few of their more unstable Experiments contaminated the area. Walking into them was not recommended, else you could walk out with an extra eye or 5.

In other sections, their Captured Ghosts had taken over a few Labs and created a sort of Mad Max style civilization using their discarded weapons and vehicles.

In another, all Ghosts became Humans and all Humans became Ghosts. That was a weird one, to this day they still didn't understand how they pulled that off.

In another, some type of Eldritch Time Ghost had been born, and now sort of always existed and never existed, and began experimenting with its powers. They nicknamed it Clocky because it liked to carry around a stopwatch.

And so many more. At one point a failed Portal Experiment messed with the internal Space of the entire thing. Now there was literally no way of Mapping it. The Fentons still somehow managed to navigate it perfectly.

When Jazz and Danny grew up, they too learned how to navigate the Labs, which is how Danny managed to show his friends the Portal Experimentation Wing in the first place.

Unfortunately, it wasn't safe for anyone aside from the Fentons to enter the Mega-Labs, so one day when the Fenton Family+friends left town on a Week Long Camping/Road Trip, they put up a few Ghost Shields to keep both Humans out and the Ghosts in.

This drew some unwanted attention after some tourists saw the giant Glowng Green Building in the middle of an Illinois Town, and rightfully called the Justice League.

Now, the Justice League had tried to call the owners of the house, but nobody picked up the phone. (An incident with Jack and a Canoe had knocked most of their phones into the lake. They weren't even at the lake yet.)

When nobody picked up, they decided to investigate personally.

After getting into the House, they quickly found a door labeled "Labs: Do Not Enter (unless it we are late for Dinner)" and went into ignoring all the warnings.

They quickly regretted it.

Maybe Danny didn't really want to become The Ghost King™ but it is pretty cool that he can just force all of his rogues' gallery to hear him rant about space for as long as he wants :)

Ember Mclain when she was alive, was a vigilante in Gotham city working side by side with the dynamic duo. Not that she was particularly well liked by them, or the larger hero community on a whole. Just ask any other hero and they'll say that Prima, Ember's hero name, was too attention seeking, unwilling to seek to anyone else, always trying to be the center of attention, and always ruining missions with her need for attention. Needless to say Ember rubbed a lot of heroes the wrong way, especially seeing as that this was early into Bruce taken on Dick Grayson as a ward so none of the heroes really knew how to deal with a teenage vigilante like Ember.

When she had died on a butched mission in a fire the hero community was shocked but not surprised. They kept telling her if she doesn't stop doing things how she normally does something like this would happen. Soon everyone moved on like if a vigilante known as Prima never existed, only slightly traumatized by the death of a child hero.

Now years later while investigating a heavily guarded lab owned by a shady part of the Government known as The Ghost Investigation Ward / the Guys In White the Justice League come across a teenager who liked exactly like Prima dressed up for a show with flaming blue hair and a pink guitar like the one Prima used to own helping a group of teenagers, two adults wearing hazmat suits, and what liked to be metas older teenagers / young adults on a motorcycle in the middle of breaking out a trio of teens and a group of meta verging in ages. The Prima look a like also seemed to be comforting a child none of them could see expect for her, the teens, and the metas.
