in Hades 2 when you fight Chronos and you pause the game during the fight, he unpauses it he’s like “no you don’t control the flow of time here!” so what if they make a reboot or a sequel series to 13 Ghosts where if you pause the Time Slime episode while watching it, Time Slime says “no! only i control time here!” and then he unpauses it😭

Scooby-Doo Halloween Monster/Ghost/Ghoul Countdown #13

We’ve come to the end of my Halloween countdown of my thirteen favorite Scooby-Doo Monster/Ghost/Ghouls. Taking the thirteen spot is not one, not two but the thirteen foulest specters and ghouls on Earth. That’s right. The Thirteen Ghost of the Chest of Demon.

The Thirteen Ghosts appeared in “The Thirteen Ghost of Scooby-Doo!”

According to legend, the Thirteen Ghost were the most terrifying ghosts whoever existed on the face of the Earth. They were eventually captured and sealed away in the Chest of Demons until the ghosts Bogel and Weerd were able to trick Scooby and Shaggy into opening the chest, unleashing the ghost. Scooby and Shaggy were informed by sorcerer Vincent Van Ghoul that as they had been the ones to release the demons, only they could return the demons to the Chest of Demons. Along with Dalphe, Scrappy and new friend Flimflam, Scooby and the team set out to capture the Thirteen Ghost aided by Vincent and his magic.

The Thirteen Ghost varied in appearance. Some like Queen Morbidia, Nekara and Professor Phantazmo looked human. Zomba, Demondo, Rankor and Zimbulu and Asmodeus looked like demons. Captain Ferguson and the Refelctor Spector were ghosts. Maldor, Marcella and Time Slime looked ghoulish.

Each were capable of using and casting dark magic and some like Captain Ferguson, Phantazmo and Nekara were able to conceal their true form from humans. All thirteen were able to speak and despite being locked away for hundreds of years had no issue interacting within the modern world after their release.

All of the Thirteen Ghost were dangerous and were not willing to let Scooby and the gang stand in their way. Each employed their dark powers and other monsters and ghouls to try to stop Scooby and crew and retrieve the Chest of Demons. Zombra employed several monsters in her takeover of the local TV station. Phantazmo had a circus of ghouls under his control. Captain Ferguson had a whole cruise boat of ghosts and ghouls. Marcella employed the Bromski Sisters, three witch sisters to do her biding. Throughout the series Bogel and Weerd aide several of the ghosts in their schemes. The actions of the Thirteen Ghosts were so bad that it did real harm to Scooby’s psyche to the point where he even left the team for a time.

“The Thirteen Ghost of Scooby-Doo!” while a nice break from the traditional Scooby-Doo formula of bad guys in masks, it wasn’t able to escape the traditional of stories filles with plot holes. The biggest one is that the series only ran for thirteen episodes but only twelve of the Thirteen Ghosts were shown. The series was canceled in order to make room for the new series ‘’A Pup Named Scooby-Doo’’ so we never got to see the final ghost. This lose thread wouldn’t be addresses until the movie, “The Thirteenth Ghost of Scooby-Doo’’ which sadly did more harm than good to the legacy of “The Thirteen Ghost of Scooby-Doo!” It was also never clearly stated which ghost in "Ship of Ghouls" was meant to one of the Thirteen Ghost. I go along with Captain Ferguson being the Chest of Demons ghost and not the Cyclone Demon.

Another plot hole is that while they’re called the Thirteen Ghost, the majority of them don’t look like ghosts. They’re described as being both ghosts and demos by different characters throughout the series. We also never learn how Bogel and Weerd came to be associated with the Chest of Demons and the ghosts. No true origins are given to the Thirteen Ghost, and we never learn how they had originally been captured or what truly made them the thirteen foulest specters and ghouls on Earth the thirteen foulest specters and ghouls on Earth. I think it would have been better had the series lasted longer so we could have seen the ghosts interact with Scooby and the gang more before they were captured. They could have had their backstories explained and that would have helped flesh them out a little bit more.

Still, the Thirteen Ghost are among the best and delightfully wicked ghosts, ghouls and monsters in the classic Scooby-Doo franchise.

Phew... man, this took a lot longer than I thought it would <XDD My poor health mixed with the pixel art style.. it took many more days than intended- but its finally here! :DD Luna's origin story! :))

I've been thinking a lot about the slimes on Ingo and Emmet's ranch and how they mirror their team in the games. Chandelure was obviously one of the first I thought about making a story for <XD I have a few others in mind I'd like to tackle as well, but I might need a bit of recovery time after this one <XDD We'll see how I feel I guess!

Anyways, I'm very happy with how this comic/story came out and I hope y'all like it too! :))

im rewatching the slime reincarnation anime cuz i havent watched it since i was a teenager, and like.

the part where he's experiencing what a slime's body feels like for the first time as he "wakes up" after having just died is portrayed with such beautiful attention paid to the sensory details. it simulates what it would feel like to wake up in an alien body, and learning to comprehend entirely new means of interfacing with the world that are different from a human body in almost every conceivable way. and its presentation is sooooo impressive to me.

theory based off of Time Slime being able to control universes: (heavily edited because i wanted to add more stuff <3)

• remember how Time Slime was like “im gonna speed up time to the day i will take over the world” and then he started to do that in the episode, like the days were flying by and the gang was watching it happen and the clocks were speeding up? his speeding up of time could’ve also been combined with a reversing of time for Daphne and Shaggy specifically so their ages were affected. Flim Flam ages because Time Slime actually sped up time for him, but the effects don’t really kick in until after the series ends and the effects happen slowly because of Time Slime getting locked in the chest, so his lingering magic has some limits on the outside world.

Time Slime messing with time causes a change in the timeline. and while he doesn’t take over the world because he is stopped by Scooby, his time magic still exists. because he created a change in the timeline where now Shaggy and Daphne are younger (this also happens to Fred and Velma because i think in the 13G timeline if you are near someone that interacted with ghosts for a long time, you kind of have a chance of geting affected by it too, especially with Time Slime, since every living thing is dependent on time) and Flim Flam aged up, the timeline can’t handle this change. because the gang are the only ones who could recapture Time Slime (and they did), the timeline was dependent on everything about them being physically stable, including their ages. so now, because it’s NOT stable and because everyone knows what happened, the timeline cant handle it, and if the timeline cant handle it, the universe also can’t handle it since the timeline is connected to the universe. so NOW, the universe is going to explode and if it explodes, so does EVERYYY timeline within it. and EVERYYY other universe too, because Time Slime actually merged every universe together in the alternate future we saw in the episode, which yes, that timeline didn’t happen in the 13 Ghosts timeline that is in the show because they defeated Time Slime, BUT that alternate future existed in another timeline which was a part of the universe that 13G took place in. so, the universes were all merged together and now they’re all in danger of being destroyed.

• because of Time Slime changing time, everyone started freaking out and going insane over what happened. everyone’s in danger because of this. it’s irreversible. so Asamad comes in and sees this and since he doesn’t have time powers, he can’t really reverse much of what Time Slime has done, but he can still do something because he has the power to mess with people’s heads. so he decides the best solution is to alter some of their memories so they’re not freaking out over everything and in constant danger because of this knowledge. Asamad had to alter some memories after the events of the show in order to protect them and to prevent the timeline from eventually exploding because that would’ve happened due to them constantly freaking out about what happened. and the memories being altered is why sometimes he’ll alter a memory that’s not supposed to be altered by accident and is like “wait i gotta put that back” (he was still struggling with the whole “using powers only for good” thing) Vincent is the person who has the least amount of memories altered

but then Asamad learns some timeline and universe spells that he could use to reverse some of what Time Slime has done. but because Time Slime merged universes, some other Scooby media is now within the same universe and timeline as 13 Ghosts, and that’s irreversible. (but some things were separated into other universes by Asamad so now the gang has no memory of that stuff, but they remember ZI and some stuff and ZI happened in the 13G timeline) and it’s only the media with supernatural stuff that couldn’t be separated from the 13G timeline after the universes were merged, because 13G has supernatural stuff.

• if you’re wondering, yes, Asamad did use the Time Scepter at some points, but mostly he didn’t use it. he only had to use it for certain things (it’s how he reversed some of what Time Slime did)

• so basically, while Asamad couldn’t reverse EVERYTHING Time Slime had done, he did save the 13G timeline and saved universes. YAYYYY!!!!
