I am going to say something that might piss people on this site off, and that is that the stabbing at a Taylor Swift themed event in Southport does not exist in a vacuum.

It exists in a world where a joke about bringing a nail gun to the Eras tour to shoot fans gets 400k likes on TikTok, or where a reel about crashing a plane full of Swifties gets 200k likes on Instagram. It exists in a world where, on this very website, the one that promotes itself as rational and reasonable, someone says that "Taylor Swift and her fans should all die violent horrible deaths" and people applauded it. It exists in a world where, during TTPD release week men were in Swifties' comment sections declaring they would beat their daughters and girlfriends if they ever so much as listened to one of her albums. And it exists in a world where this week, fans of a TV show (which I will not name because that is not the point) sent death threats to a girl on Twitter for daring to be a fan of both their beloved show and Taylor Swift.

I don't give a fuck what your opinion of Taylor Swift is. I don't care if you think her music is grating, I don't care if you think she is the worst thing to happen to humanity since Eve ate the god damn apple. This is the dark side of stan culture that no-one talks about; where dislike of an artist becomes so obsessive that it becomes normal, even funny, to joke about killing their fans, because "it's just online, it's just a joke". It isn't. It is rarely ever "just online".

And yes I am going to be That Person and say that you can complain about Swift's brand of feminism and debate her position as a feminist icon all day long, at the end of the day, her name is still synonymous with girls. It doesn't take a genius to work out who this event was geared at.

I am not going to sit and claim that by simply not liking Taylor Swift you directly caused this. I would encourage you to step back, look at the bigger picture of stan culture, including obsessive dislike of an artist, and ask yourself how much this culture has enabled this. If making jokes on tiktok about killing someone over a pop star is normalised, how much of a leap is it to attacking kids with a knife at a fan event?

and of course there is the fact that the british media didn't even wait until those kids were buried before using this event to spread their racist, anti-immigrant agenda despite the race of the attacker not being known. all I can say to that is I am sickened and disappointed but not shocked.

Fang AU: Infection

Sooooo this is yet another extension of scene I wrote for the Fang AU created by @trilobitepunch, based on a request from @psychologicalwarclaire. Its starting to become something of a trend for me. Anyway, hope you all enjoy. Props and thanks, as always, to trilobug for letting me play around with her amazing creation, and curly for enabling me.

Hamato Leonardo knew himself to be a turtle of many enviable talents. Out-of-this-world charisma, rugged good looks, hilarious, a tactical mind and a resourceful field medic. The whole package. Except, he was not a scientist. He'd never had the patience or the attention span for fiddly formulas, obsessive note-taking, and tedious repetition needed for an experiment to be successful. As the team’s leader and face man, Leo thrived in the gray, mixing information and spontaneity, tweaking and twisting to ensure the outcome he wanted came to pass. Science was Donnie's world. His egg-headed twin thrived in black and white; relying on repetition, craved clearly defined variables, delighting in percentiles and predictability. That was what balanced them in the end, what made them tick as twins. Brainiac and face man, street smarts and book smarts, innovation and invention.

And maybe that was why he was struggling now, sitting hunched over his secret pile of medical books, scowling as he compared them to the ones April had brought from the library. Squinting at tiny, cramped print as his head pounded, forcing eyes crusted from lack of sleep to open to absorb the paragraphs detailing anatomy, herpetology, and epidemiology, alongside pictures that were various degrees of uselessness. This was Donnie’s world, and maybe he would have enjoyed this torment. Maybe, his twin could make sense of these "viral counts" and "impact percentiles ". Maybe, if his twin weren't strapped to the bed behind him, delirious and writhing in pain, they could have already fixed whatever this thing was.

"Shell," Leo groaned, throwing down his pencil as one hand rose to rub his tired eyes.

He was going to get crow's feet and fine lines from glaring at these useless books, things he could (loudly) tolerate if they were to result in a solution to whatever plaguing their purple brother. But they hadn’t so far. Days of effort, nights of burning well past the midnight oil, and all he had to show for his efforts was a splitting headache and a massive collection of unwashed tea mugs. None of Donnie's symptoms matched with anything detailed in the textbooks, or CDC and WHO websites. Given the creepy level of the lab they'd wreaked, it wasn’t truly that surprising, even if it was frustrating. There was, shockingly, not a lot of published research on mutants, let alone their illnesses or immune systems. But, illnesses didn't just come out of nowhere! He didn't need a fancy piece of paper or a Donnie-level IQ to know that. Whatever was ailing Donnie had to be documented somewhere. But he was a field medic for pizza's sake! He knew how to set bones, sew up cuts, and head off infections. Not cellular biology!

Throwing his hands up in defeat, he slouched back into his desk chair. Maybe Mikey was right. Maybe it was time to call in Draxum, much as Leo would rather eat a bucket of nails or light fire to all his limited-edition JJ comics than say it out loud. Mad scientist psycho or not, the Yokai understood a lot more than Leo did, in this one area anyway. And while they were at it, maybe they’d been looking at things all wrong. If a science-based solution wasn’t available, maybe a mystic solution could help? It would be the most delicious kind of irony, given Donnie’s historic skepticism of anything mystical or magical. Maybe their father could take a trip to the mystic library, or they could send one of the Casey’s to Witch Town. So long as they didn't drop Donnie's name in any conversations it would probably be...

A pained snarl cut through his thoughts, and he whirled the chair around to find Donnie bucking against his restraints, head thrown back in a terrible arc as he gasped for air.

"Whoa! Easy D!" Leo exclaimed, jumping out of his seat to reach for the oxygen mask and tank that April and Casey Jr had kindly "liberated" from April's school following the Krang invasion. "Just keep breathing man, in and out."

His twin hissed in response, pants deepening to a guttural growl as Leo approached and attempted to press the mask over Donnie's nose and mouth.

"Come on man, you're doing great. This is going to help you do even better, so chill out a little and I'll-"

Faster than lightning Donnie struck, neck muscles stretched and strained as he ducked around the mask and sunk his teeth deep into the flesh of Leo's forearm.

"OW!" Leo yelled, the oxygen mask slipping from his fingers as they spasmed open in shock. "Dee, let go!"

Donatello snarled in reply, sharp teeth sinking and shredding as his jaws clamped down on Leo's limb.

"Get…OFF!" Leo bellowed, jamming the thumb of his free hand into the pressure point just behind the soft shell’s jaw. It took way longer than it should have for Donatello’s teeth to release him, too many long, painful seconds before Leo could pull his arm away and stumble back a step from the bed, cradling his injured limb close. Torn flesh burned against the open air, pain licking out from fingertip to elbow while small crimson streams braided into rivers as they raced across his skin to follow gravity to the floor.  

“What the shell?!” Leo snapped, free hand clamping down over the injury as he stumbled towards the cabinet that held their stock of bandages. Donnie hissed again in reply, and Leo had to fight the urge to cringe away from the way his blood smeared across his brothers lips and chin, the way it painted his sharp teeth when said lips peeled back in a snarl. Dark eyes followed every jerky move as he fumbled with trying to disinfect and wrap the wound with one hand, breaths hitching as the pain in his arm built, creeping like the most agonizing ivy towards his shoulder. Slitted predator pupils zeroed in one the…wait…Donnie didn’t have slitted pupils. None of them did. Their eyes had always been human…

“What the…”

He didn’t get the chance to finish the sentence. Between one breath and the next the pain exploded, lancing up his neck and spearing deep into his chest. His jaw snapped shut around a cry as every nerve in his body seemed to simultaneously go up in flames, numb and useless legs folding like a house of cards as he hit the concrete floor of the med bay. He tried to break his fall, but his body failed to respond to any desperate command his brain tried to send. He tried to call for help, or maybe just scream, but his lungs couldn’t pull in the air he needed. He was trapped, a silently writhing vessel slowly filling up with pain.

 Words dissolved. Not just words, but the very concept of speaking drained away, skewered by pain and caught by an strange continuous croon that kept pulling him in. Dragging him down, down, down, a silent and deadly riptide wrapped around his ankles. It hurt... it hurt...

Hurt. Pain! Painpainpainpain! Scared. Alone. Alonealonealonealon-

Here.

The crooning grew louder, building and rebounding until it vibrated in his bone marrow. It rushed in to smother his scalded tissues, knitting into his nervous system. It was all around him. It was him.

Fear!

Here.

Fearpain!

Comprehend. Herecomfort.

Here? Comfort?

Affirmation. Herecomfort. Heretogether.

Together…

Like a lighthouse in a storm the notion split through the chaos, neatly severing his mind from the inferno still warping his flesh and bones. It reeled him in, no longer a rip tide but a now a much welcomed life line that he clung to. The crooning became a pleasant hum in his mind, stripping away the burden of thought and feeling, wrapping his synapsis in cotton wool before pressing him down, down, down…

 He was not alone.

They did not need fear.

Like a key in a lock it fell into place, cemented and unshakable as the very cosmos themselves. For a while all they could do was be, ignoring bodies that distantly stilled their writhing. Together ran in an unending circuit between them, euphorically triumphant as each rebound grew louder and louder.

Slitted eyes opening simultaneously, the world kaleidoscope into prisms as they looked at each other from above and below. Humans. Humans were near together. Unacceptable.

They rose from the floor on silent legs, making their way to sever the ties that held them bound to the bed.

They rose, bodies fluid and soundless as the slunk into the gloom beyond the door. Their objectives were clear. It was time.

The starter profile picture on tumblr can be a square. One might even say, a box. Would Boxy, Lord of the Rectangular, The Box Ghost Himself, be able to intrude upon Technus's domain and seize control of the bot army of Tumblr?

@bonebrokebuddy responding because twin showed this to me and I became enraptured with this ask.

It really depends on what you consider a box, or the abstraction of a box. In my opinion, The Box Ghost would be able to force his control of boxes upon whatever he perceives to be a box.

The real issue is that nearly all bots I find have profilers of random women. So I’d imagine that a good portion of the bots would remain untouched.

But again, we must ask the question, “what would the box ghost consider a box?”

I’d argue personally that Boxy would be able to control not just the blogs of tumblr users or bots with the standard starter profile images, but every ask box that is enabled on the site.

I’d imagine it would open a “hey pee brain, you teleport?” type timeline where tumblr users would at first be confused to this flood of similar messages invading their askbox, then discover that this mysterious ‘virus’ that’s been taking over people’s blogs to use their ask boxes seems to have an actual person behind it and isn’t just a bot.

A massive surge of users would likely try to uncover the mystery behind who is behind it all, getting slowly pieces of information from the person behind the ‘virus’ who’s obsessed with boxes and all things rectangular. Eventually, bits of personal information releases, that the man behind the virus is dead and died in a box related incident (y’all can choose how, I’d imagine there’s multiple hc backstories for boxy), and the town & GZ he lives in. People would praise this absolutely insane ARG (and condemn. To many the ‘Box Ghost’ was a hacker that took over blogs and rendered them unusable for a period of time. rightly so, a good section of the website would dislike Boxy, especially of their blog or mutuals of theirs got affected.) until a user leaked that The Box Ghost was in fact, an actual being sighted often in Amity Park.

Then another user found a website of a government department funded to hunt ghost that listed a ‘box ghost’ as a dangerous ectoentity.

The discoveries from there came rapidly.

- papers by the Drs Fenton were found outlining how ghosts functioned

- posts from people in Amity Park complaining about frequent ghost attacks and drills

- social media that condemned and praised a ghost named “Inviso-Bill” for destroying public property, stealing, saving, and fending off ghosts.

- the mysterious election of the town’s recent mayor

- stories of the Box Ghost’s past encounters with Amity Park citizens

- information of other ghosts that also existed within Amity Park began being revealed and discovered

- attempts at contacting Amity Park citizens to discover more information, often yielding confused responses from those wholly unaware that those asking thought that the ghost attacks their town experienced were apart of an ARG

- the ‘#only in amity park’ tag revealing Loads of information about the town and their ghost troubles

then, an announcement on the GIW website thanking tumblr users for their help in providing information to capture the Box Ghost.

Immediately all asks from Boxy ceased. Panic and horror began to spread. What had they done?

I referred to MDL and so I've only included shows that started in 2023 and to keep this under Tumblr's maximum of 30 images, so I didn't include all screenshots for shared locations!

Anyway, these are my favourite QL locations from 2023:

1. Chong Nonsi Canal Park (Bed Friend, Chains of Heart and The Promise) (location) Shout out to @winnythanawin (aka @aprilblossomgirl) for our discussions about parks lol

2. The timber mill (Chains of Heart) I love wide angle and maximalist shots, so this location has been stuck in my mind.

3. Thai Muslim Women Foundation School (My Dear Gangster Oppa, Y-Destiny, Return Man, 55:15 Never Too Late, Midnight Motel, Never Let Me Go and My Only 12%) (location) I love that the building has specific motifs that are seen in other Islamic architecture. But also, an excessive number of chandeliers is always fun to me. (There are also far too many shared locations, so I picked only a few screenshots).

4. Chakngeaw Chinese Market (Moonlight Chicken) (location) Maybe it's the lanterns and the colours in the scenes, but I loved this location!

5. Como Metropolian Bangkok (Step by Step and Middleman's Love) (location) I described this as a Pride & Prejudice moment once. LOOK AT THE HUGE WINDOWS. That is all, lol

6. 13 Coins Tower Ngamwongwan (Playboyy and 3 Will Be Free) (location) I cannot explain how the slightly dead and uninhabited vibes of this hotel appeal to me but here we are 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♂️🤷

7. The houses (I Feel You Linger in the Air) (location, location) These details are *everything*. I'm especially a fan of the windows and stained glass!

8. Factopia (Pit Babe) (location) One thing about me is that I am chaotic. Look at this studio that's being used as a home. I love it lol

9. These two temples (Cherry Magic Thailand) (locations) The boat is selling the whole idea for me, though I've been told that there isn't actually a boat operating in these canals anymore, but let me imagine it!

10. Chao Phraya Sky Park (Last Twilight and Low Frequency Pilot Trailer) (location to come) I have actually been waiting to see this bridge/park used and was so excited to see it in Low Frequency's pilot trailer, though it didn't make it to the show. THEN Last Twilight showed up for me. Thank you to the location manager of the show.

11. Tokyo Tower (Shigatsu no Tokyo wa... / Tokyo in April is...) Please ignore how bad Ren looks in the screenshot. I don't care that only the base of my favourite tower can be seen. I'm taking it!!!

12. Whatever this building is (Pit Babe) I mean, I AM CURIOUS about it but haven't found the location. Maybe that's why I'm obsessing a little. Just let me find the location and I will get over it. Probably.

Signalis is a horror game centered around the love between a human woman and an android woman. Its themes are ABSOLUTELY not limited to love & related topics (the game is about identity, society, memory, etc.), but it's a love story at its core.

Mouthwashing is NOT yaoi signalis (signalis but yaoi) because it is NOT centered around the love between two men. You can definitely interpret Jimmy as having a psychosexual obsession with Curly after the crash as an extension of his control issues, but that's neither (likely) what was intended nor is it anywhere NEAR the message of the game. Mouthwashing is about sexual assault, and describing it as "yaoi signalis" is a gross, misogynistic misinterpretation of the plot and its messages that imo participates in the very thing the game is criticising.

& because this is the piss on the poor website: I'm not saying that ppl who yaoify mouthwashing are rapists. I am saying that they're erasing and decentering rape and rape victims from a game discussing how rape is enabled by both society and individuals within it, which is exactly what the game is criticizing.

Something just came to me. In your yandere ASMR turtles blurb, the main reason (from what I can see) that the turtles went yandere is from m/c’s comments, which would imply that the turtles stalk every one of their avid followers, or at least have stalked them at some point.

Now, I highly doubt any of them would actually do that (even as a yandere, I don’t see the reason they would stalk every single fan of theirs), also someone would probably complain if they were being stalked by a giant turtle (someone would notice), so why would they go out of their way to stalk m/c… unless…

They were already stalking m/c in the first place…

Think about it. The turtles were already aware of m/c’s existence, and their comments on their channels only fueled their desires. Maybe they even made the channel specifically for m/c, knowing they like ASMR, and slowly learning more about their likings and changing to be more like that.

Donnie could even make the channel private so only m/c can view it, and use AI’s to like and comment on the video to make it seem legit. Imagine if all the turtles were in on it… m/c would be screwed.

Imagine poor m/c, who is just trying to sleep, and suddenly they get ASMR’d in bed by a creepy stalker who runs the channel they like. When m/c finally passes out (let’s be real here, we would all fall asleep real quickly to their hushed voices, scary situation or not), they kidnap them to the lair and basically put m/c in ASMR hell haven!

Wait! Wouldn’t this also imply that this AU is a mix between an isekai au as well, because the ASMR is then roleplaying as themselves?! Imagine cracking the multiverse only to create an ASMR channel to attract someone you haven’t even physically met from another universe-

Ok so I’m basically writing 2 separate blurbs- one for the “stalked you before” and “isekai” one.

Tw: mostly creepy stalkerish knowledge, and kidnapping- oh and obsession

Ok so in terms of stalked you before, I would definitely see this with Donnie and Leo. Donnie would do it because he would have the easiest time doing it without getting caught. Like you said, he could use AI to make fake comments or just flat out manage to upload 2 different versions of the same video except you can only view the one enabled to you. Which is the creepier one, where he uses your name and some other things. “Y/n, I know this is your favourite music genre, so won’t you dance with me to it?”

With Leo, he’ll definitely do it since he KNOWS he can use the purr tone somehow. Yes he is in denial if you don’t like it- he will MAKE you like it. Unlike Donnie who uploads separate videos, Leo manages to input things about your day to talk about in his videos but never explicitly says it’s meant to the directed to you. And let me tell you something, he probably gets popular with his ASMR ngl- either way, he will make his videos creepily similar to your day, like, “Oh, you got a 67% on your test~? Poor baby~” and you exactly got a 67% on your test or something.

Ok, moving on:

So with the isekai thing, I find it genius. But again, I believe only Donnie would be able to upload a video to an alternate universe’s website- unless by the fact they use the same YouTube as we do. (Just for this case let's actually say they upload on youtube)

Imagine how giddy they are, finally being able to more or less one-sidedly converse with the person they're so obsessed with! Finally, they can show their love and admiration!

They watch their comments if they ever do comment, and try to change up themselves in the asmr once in a while. since no one actually knows it's them. And the more they learn about their likes, the more they just want to feel them in person! (yes even Donnie wants just the slightest touch)

So as expected, once MC just snoozing to their asmr, they crawl onto their bed, give them a silly whisper of whatever they want to say, and next thing you know, MC wakes up in the turtles' lair, getting asmr'ed by 4 turtles who look way to fucking real and similar to the show.

"Hey, mi vida~ how was your sleep~? Did my fantastic voice lull you to sleep~? As expected~?"

"You aren't taking care of yourself properly...And I'm going to change that, whether you like it or not. No more accidentally dehydrating yourself."

"Ohmigosh...! My divinity is finally here...! In front of me...! Their loyal devotee...~!"

Last Book: Been pretty bad about this I'll admit, I haven't read through a full book in a while. Last comic book I read was Batman: Hush which in many ways lived up to the hype and lived up to why people aren't a fan. I was appropriately whelmed I think.

Last Movie: Wicked. It was pretty fun.

Last TV Show: Mythbusters. 'Nuff said I would think. Oh wait, I just remembered, that was the last show I went out of my way to watch. Last show I actually watched was Boston Legal with my partner which is entertaining in a all the weird and distressing ways I have to understand why being a lawyer sucks in regard to one's moral compass. Like, you have an important job to do but most of the time defending people's rights under the law really REALLY sucks and a level of amorality is almost required.

The Last Thing I Googled: Markdown. I have to write a .md file for my CompSci class, a thing I've never done before and it is probably irresponsible of me as someone who occasionally writes code to, uh, not make those. So now as I prepare myself for the workforce, I will try to do it more often.

I made the mistake of picking up Disco Elysium despite the fact I haven't finished Yooka-Laylee yet. The Steam Deck is quite the enabler.

And Pokemon Design data is my current true love. Ratepkmn.com is this website a youtuber made where anybody can just rate pokemon on certain design qualities and anyone can just pull those spreadsheets and see what it looks like. I implore everyone to check it out. I don't think Libris has any particular goal in mind because he already wants to make a more detailed version of the survey. My data loving heart would love to see at least every pokemon to have 200 ratings before Generation 10 comes out.

And you don't have to know or care about Pokemon to be involved, this is entirely about design. Like level of cartooniness, coolness, cuteness, complexity, and a few others. It's really cool.

Looking Forward To: My partner got my tickets to Katsucon so more people will get to see my Usopp cosplay beyond Tumblr, my circle of friends, and the 5 people on YouTube that watched me test run the slingshot I built.

Also looking forward to making a video about the Rate Pokemon data, specifically about the design aspects of the Least Cute and Least Beautiful Pokemon.

the importance of no-sided (or infinitely-sided) polygons

This ad keeps coming up on my social media, and I have many thoughts on it, though one of them reigns.

-The chestpiece looks like Mickey Mouse!! And I've never had a reason to think much about this, but I NEED A CIRCLE. I need a circle on my chest. It has to be a circle. If it's anything else, it's just not right. I am being deprived of something vital. Planets are misaligned. North is south and east is west. Tammie Brown won the first season of drag race lol I tried to explain this to a friend and she was like "Is it a sensory thing?" and I was like "IDK BUT IT NEEDS TO BE A CIRCLE." How dare they reinvent the circle here. But the "ears" are leads so they serve a purpose. :/ Anyway...

-This scope costs less than my Thinklabs One, but it does a lot more. It's not stuff that's necessary to me (not a medical professional but a woman obsessed with heart sounds) but is it not cool that it displays BPM and an EKG reading? If you think about it, it's shocking that something like this didn't exist already. It just makes so much sense.

-This stethoscope will tell you whether there are abnormalities, like a fib or tachycardia, and it has an accompanying app that will tell you more and all that.

-This shit is all futuristic but it still has a very standard set of binaurals. I have mixed feelings about this. Like, it's great to look up at someone and see that they're wearing them and to know they're listening to you. Fabulous feeling, 11/10. BUT, they're not totally comfortable. I mean, yes, you can adjust binaurals so they fit your ear canals better but they're not as comfortable as a nice set of cushioned headphones. BUT, this stethoscope is bluetooth-enabled so technically you can ditch the binaurals.

-You have to be a medical professional, or have a doctor's recommendation, to purchase this. Ngl though--I went through the motions to pretend I was purchasing one without actually going through it and it looks like you just have to check off a box claiming to either be a medical professional or to be buying one of these on doctor's orders. I'm not gonna buy one, but I mean it seems like you could if you had the $430 lying around.

But circles. I did not know until now (and still can't really explain) why I need them but here we are.

It disturbs me just how much American culture is obsessed with pedophiles.

I don't mean "catering to them". I don't mean that our beauty standards are "pedophilic". I mean the opposite of that - I mean the fact that we're so obsessed with The Pedophile as the ultimate icon of evil that we make such broad reaches as "if two adults have too big of an age gap then the older one is a pedophile!" or "men find smooth shaven bodies attractive because it reminds them of prepubescent children!" or "the only reason for a drag queen to want to read to children is because she wants to molest them!". We make up myths from Stranger Danger to the Wayfair panic to Pizzagate, to create some semblance of something we can do to keep ourselves and our children safe from this omnipresent threat lurking around every corner.

We don't care who we throw under the bus, as long as it can be argued to be in service of hindering The Pedophile. In fact, it is the moral duty of every good citizen to lay down in front of the bus themself, if it offers even the slightest chance of foiling The Pedophile even once. If you don't offer up your life to fight The Pedophile, it is assumed that you must be The Pedophile.

The Pedophile is simultaneously so common-sense-horrible that just the mention of them will evoke disgust and outrage, yet also a corruption that anyone can fall to if they consume the Wrong Media - whether you believe that Wrong Media to be a children's book about a kid with two moms, or an edgy fanfic - even once, because despite this intense cultural hatred, the taboo can be undone at the drop of a hat. The human animal, when it comes to not-being-The-Pedophile, has the moral fiber of severely overcooked spaghetti, you see. Everyone is and should be disgusted by them, but also everyone but YOU is one bad YouTube video away from becoming them.

On this website itself, everyone says "MAPs/pedos DNI", as if anyone who doesn't will be swarmed with pro-child-molestation discoursers. I have no such clause on any of my blogs - not because I want to hear people talking about their fantasies of abusing kids, but for the same reason as I don't also demand that puppy kickers and serial killers and baby eaters and kitten burners stay away from me; I simply do not trust such blatant virtue signaling about such common sense as "don't molest children" - and I haven't encountered a single one.

And yet, some of the most fervent believers in Pizzagate are the same people who fight against laws banning child marriage and lobby for laws "protecting parents' rights" - i.e., making it easier for children's most likely abusers to isolate them; it is a well-known fact, after all, that most child abuse is committed by a close family member or someone close to the family.

Because The Pedophile isn't real, at least not in the way the culture so fervently believes in and fears. Sure, there are child molesters out there. Sure, just because most cases are enabled by familiarity doesn't mean that the minority of opportunists doesn't exist at all. There is certainly an infinitessimally small number of people who live up to that boogeyman - but that doesn't make it any less of a boogeyman.

A child molester is a child molester. An asshole. A real, fucked up asshole. But The Pedophile, as our culture is so obsessed with? The Pedophile is the mythical human-shaped embodiment of a thought-terminating cliche, a target for mystical "protection" rituals - and a convenient role to cast a person in to discount anything they have to say.

In case anyone was wondering why I haven't been posting much- I have been drawing but its mostly my bg3 character as a vampire spawn and working out the after story lol.

My headcanons surrounding ascended Astarion are also different takes, I don't need anyone to come crying about how he's evil and possessive and ruined his arc muhuhuhuhh the ''happy'' ending is depressing and kinda meh.

The way my character works is also fairly different despite the large amount of dialogue options in the game itself, it does not reflect his backstory or who he is a 100%. His interactions with the ingame characters would also be very different, which makes his relationship with them different too.

I literally played this game with the evil expectation at the end lollll Like my character getting a bit more fucked in the head of all the trauma you get from late act 1, all of act 2, and then some of the act 3 shit really hitting the nail in the coffin in his personal arc as well. He might have played part of the hero, but he is not a hero. (spoilers for my character? nah. I'll tease as long as I want.) He's pretty evil himself at some point. ''I can fix him!'' nonono ma'am or good sir or whomstve- I will fucking enable him. They can manically laugh together. YAY!!

Above us, the crisp, star-filled night sky reflects the ever-present perseverance of Our Lord's divine order.

We are innately curious creatures created with a deep-seated desire to understand the world around us and seek meaning in our experiences. This natural yearning drives our pursuit of wisdom to illuminate our path, to gain knowledge that enriches our understanding, and to discover the clarity that helps us discern the truth amid life’s complexities. In this journey, we will eventually find that wisdom is not merely intellectual knowledge but the divine understanding that allows us to navigate life purposefully. 

Wisdom can align our hearts and minds with the will of Our Lord and Creator, allowing His truth to be a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. The book of Proverbs offers an enduring reminder of this foundational truth: “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding” (Proverbs 4:7).
