#Mormons are told the Bible is an inaccurate translation of the word of god so is not as reliable as the book of mormon or church leaders#and an accurate translation is now lost/impossible#but is still scripture and should be considered the word of god#Mormons also strictly use the KJV#because they are fucking silly and think holy things need to be in old speak#which is also why the bom is written Like That despite being ‘translated’ in the 19th century#why didn’t josmith use contemporary language? cause he was copying how his Bible sounded to make it seem important that’s why

apparently some people are told that there’s just no way to know what the original said even tho jews have been preserving the original for forever so i’m curious how many people were told this or something like this.

A short comic based on a passage in Acts of John, an apocryphal christian writing from the second century CE. I really enjoy the way it's written as a first person account of the travels of Saint John, it's very lovely:
