Can I ask what made you decide to permanently close your commissions? I mean this in the most genuine way, I’m just curious. I don’t have the money to commission anyone currently, but you were definitely on my list of artists

at its core, the answer would be "personal reasons". I compare my art to a lot of other people's art, I just need to learn to stop doing that. the idea of closing my commisions will hopefully help stop me thinking "of course they didn't commision me when they have all these other better artists to choose from" - and that is all on me. not anyone else.

#the fact ive had my coms open for over a year now and only gotten commisions three times is looming over me #so much #and i need to get that away #i need to learn to not care #and i need to learn that my art is enough #and if that means taking a break and literally fucking studying others art so i can find out how to make mine better #and worth like $40 or real actual money #then thats what im going to do #i could list a dozen other reasons but whod wanna listen to that too #but nonnie i have to say i appreciate you coming and telling me that #i honeslty thought no one was thinking to commision me so #its a nice reminder. thought.#i appreciated it #nemo answers #anon
