man this one is hard because homestuck is so large and many people have many different opinions...uhhhhhh well heres some ig

davekat is overrated, theres way too much content of davekat out there thats just plain boring as hell.

dirk is not a villain character and will never be. it baffles me that people think he is evil or that he hates his friends or similar things, that's the worst characterization of dirk, and its way too fucking popular.

andrew hussies writing is not good. obviously, andrew is a good writer but god homestuck really does highlight some of his WEAKEST points in writing, his worldbuilding is atrocious, the troll race is just recolored humans and it makes me so mad every time and his pacing is beyond terrible. people love to excuse these things as well (for some reason?) like you can make a good well paced webcomic did you know that?

"The first room was a lounge. Three chairs and two couches took up most of the space, forming a semicircle around an entertainment center. The TV was obscenely large, and Neil couldn't wait to watch a game on it. Posted above the TV on the wall was a list of sports and news channels. I wanted to draw a scene that happened in the lounge, so I drew a quick depiction of the place (according to me). It was all from memory so I didn't get the "above the TV" part right (or the "three chairs" one), but actually i dont give a shit cause that's still how i decide to picture it.
