I haven't thought much about Jonathan Sims for long enough that I kinda feel like I've started thinking about him a little more divorced of the emotional attachment I might have had once. Because I just saw a post lamenting his slow descent into inhumanity and losing his identity, becoming the archivist rather than Jonathan Sims, losing his friends, his house, everything he loves.

But is that true? That put upon head archivist persona he had in the beginning, was that really him? The way I see it, real life has already leached him of any identity he might have had, he didn't really have friends, Tim and Sasha clearly weren't, as we saw in their season 5 recording. He chose to make them his subordinates over beib friends, pushed away Georgie, he became so desperate for approval that he agreed to take a job he clearly has no idea how to do, let his stress over it isolate him from everyone around him, had a desperate need to assert himself in the beginning of every recording as 'head archivist of the Magnus institute london'. Forget about even having a home, he often slept in his office for heaven's sake.

The way I see it, this story is about him finding himself, finding the perfect place for himself in this already doomed world that was already strangling him and everyone around him. He became the Archivist, no longer needing to connect himself to some godforsaken capitalistic institute to identify himself. found his role, he enjoyed its power, even admitted to it. He found love. He found purpose in trying to save the world. In the end he was surrounded with the friends he made along the way (as friendly as they could be under the circumstances). He was finally allowed to make real choices, have true responsibility over himself and not be some tired corporate worker, part of a tired pointless system. Sure his choices weren't that great, and getting there was through outside manipulation and his own ignorance and he had to suffer immensely and pay an awful price of what we like to call his "humanity" but he Became and found what we all look for - his calling.

"It's still me" he says in the last episode. Because he is. He lost nothing and gained everything. Even dying in his lover's arms.

Forget about being human. In the end Jon achieves apotheosis and truly becomes Jonathan Sims

Alicent and Criston are both bonding over their shared feelings of betrayal. They both feel betrayed by Rhaenyra; Alicent because she was lied to, and Criston because he was cheated. That’s why there is so much TENSION in the air when Criston confesses the truth to Alicent: he exposes his own involvement that can get him killed, and Alicent understands that he feels ashamed for ever trusting Rhaenyra, the same way she’s feeling at that moment. That’s why she doesn’t punish him, and lets him go.

No, actually, that’s why she understands him. She immediately perceives that he is a man of honor and that what he has done has left him with a sense of worthlessness. Heaven knows how many times she too has felt worthless for things she was coerced to do. So when he disappears after Rhaenyra and Laenor’s wedding, she somehow knows he’s seeing suicide as a way out and knows where to seek him. Has she ever contemplated suicide as a means of escape? (And now I can’t help thinking of the opening lines of “Labour” and the “escape plan” that Alicent might have been hoping for at times in her life).

But Alicent gets and sympathizes with Criston, in the same way he gets and sympathizes with her. That's why their bond and connection are ever deeper and stronger than the blood of the dragon could ever be.

Why do you hate people "copying" your art style? Pretty sure people don't do it with malicious intent and probably for practice

When did I said I hated it baby😭 I said that if you reference my art HEAVILY it would be nice if I was just credited somewhere 🫶🏽

The only time I’m really uncomfortable or frustrated is when my stuff is very clearly referenced (bar for bar, like hold the pieces up side by side VERY CLEARLY referenced and I’m not talking about poses or compositions bc ofc people don’t own stuff like that. I don’t like assuming things or jumping to conclusions but sometimes it’s right there without a doubt) and I’m not really… acknowledged at all..? Even then I’m not gonna rly cause a scene over it and just curate my space so I don’t have to see it 😭

I understand that I’m an artist with a larger following on twt, so the last thing I want to do is badger folks with smaller followings who do heavily reference my stuff w/o credit because I know it’s sick and twisted (for ME to get on other folks /srs) and once again inspo is how folks grow. That’s why I just keep it moving and stay in my lane👆🏽 I’m still human though so I think I’m allowed to feel and express my feelings on the matter if asked though, just like in the ask abt this previously.

When I was younger I never understood the love triangle problem. I always thought they would all just date each other instead of fighting. This was before I knew that gay people existed so imagine how much harder I fought for all 3 dating when I learned it could actually be possible.
