one of the many reasons I love Rachel's POV is that she just does not get Marco. Not at all. Jake and Tobias know hes putting up a front more often than not, and Cassie especially sees right through him, but Rachel buys the mask. She even thinks, originally, that Marco might be against fighting just to annoy them. I'm not even sure that Rachel ever really understands how deep Marco goes down the rabbit hole.

Like, I don't think she's doing anything that Marco doesn't want her to-- She isn't being mean or anything. I don't think it's because she dislikes him, or because they're constantly fighting. Marco is doing this on purpose. He puts on a mask with everyone, but Rachel, especially, and she buys it hook, line, and sinker.

And it really makes you think, like-- How long did Marco and Rachel know each other before his mom died? Is she basing her assumptions off a boy that doesn't exist anymore? Is that why Marco keeps up the front with her, or is it because she's the most popular, the prettiest, and the strongest? Did Marco have a crush on Rachel before his entire world fell apart? Is that why he's desperate for her to never realize it did?

Haven’t really been engaging with that much Genshin stuff because I’m so bummed about natlan…..

Like it all sucks, but speaking about something I have personal connection to:

I want to like Mualani (the white-hair, shark girl)….her name is from on a real Hawaiian chieftess, it’s also very close to my IRL name (Meilani)….also I freaking love sharks.

I want to be excited at cultural representation. But as an (admittedly white passing) mixed-Hawaiian myself—I’m just sad—not even at my palest in the midst of winter am I that pale. It feels like a betrayal to reference different cultures but not earnestly portray the people within.

Anyway, no hate to anyone who does like her, but please keep an open heart for your POC genshin friends or content creators who are sad and angry.

literally im not even close to kidding one of the best things you can do if you encounter a baby bigot in the wild (a child or young adult who had clearly been indoctrinated by hatred and fear (specifically evangelical flavor)), is to be kind to them. there is nothing that cracks that worldview faster. if you listen to people who escaped that life and ask them how they got out, a lot of times it’s because when they were a teenager or young adult, they met people from outside their immediate community and realized they were just regular human beings.

this is like the third time i’ve been in a fandom where a white male SIDE character is heavily favored by the fandom and they start jumping through hoops, and grabbing reasons out their asses, to prove why the main poc character is a terrible person. they will also ignore any wrongdoing of the side white male character.

ok maybe they're the same amount of usefulness in terms of harm reduction or whatever but if nothing else, I have infinitely more respect for people who are planning to vote third-party or write-in than those who are trying to... make a statement by not voting? Like the only statement you're making with that is that you don't care anymore. Voting for a third party candidate at least says that you're voting against both options.

I'm not saying this in a 'voting third party is the way to go' sense, I'm just saying that if you're going to throw away your sway in who wins to make a point anyway, there's an option that actually communicates your point and it sure as heck isn't refusing to vote.

also no problem! it's literally the bare minimum for doing christian centric artwork, especially since I've previously done biblical illustrations but with a deliberate focus on the jewish narrative over christian interpretation in an attempt to chase the historical method.

It’s a good time to be a transformers fan guys!

Watched transformers one yesterday and I literally still think about it every waking moment.

It’s such a stunning movie, the story flowed so well! The action was genuinely incredible and let’s not even get started on the animation and art direction!!! Absolutely going to get the art book 100%

Personal favourites were some of the wide shots, and camera work. Sometimes it felt like they were imitating life action filming (blue eye samurai does that too :D it’s so cool!)

The acting was fantastic obviously! So much character! And ngl, Hemsworth and Tyree Henry did an amazing job playing the two big guys.

I enjoyed the humor aswell! Bumblebee was a bit much at times e but that’s about all I can say. He’s still endearing to me.

Did get emotional towards the end, I grew up on transformers but I’m unfortunately not as well versed in the deep lore as I want to be (wish I could point out every single reference and recognise characters in seconds but alas). I still thoroughly LOVED it, and am almost tempted to watch it again aaaaa

Please if you haven’t seen it, go watch it! It’s such a fun watch, even for folk who know next to nothing about transformers.
