#that's probably it but... he wasn't even coherent at that point

Nuada wasn't much better in the coherence and focus department right now. He'd had way too much to drink and his thoughts were fuzzy, his mind was swimming, and he likely wouldn't remember half of what he said when he sobered up tomorrow. Honestly, he was probably in for a complete bear of a hangover from all of this, since not only had he drank to excess, he was also not used to doing so. Nevertheless, he was being vulnerable with Mantis, even if he was rambling and she wasn't really getting what he was saying anyway.
"No, that is not... that isn't the point," he said when she said it was okay that he lost his purpose and his way. "My purpose was not... lost because I wanted revenge, it was lost because... because there's no more use... there's... no one needs... warriors anymore. They're safe now. My people, they're... they're all safe. So what need have they for... for a... for warriors now? That's why I haven't a purpose," he tried to explain, although he wasn't really sure if, in all his rambling, he'd actually made his point. Oh well. Good enough, probably.
"Y-you think... there is good in me?" he suddenly keyed in on, his eyes going wide, almost innocently so, as he turned to look at her. "Thank you, Mantis," he said with such deep sincerity as though she had just paid him the world's greatest compliment. "There are not many... who feel... who think that way... about me," he said through the thick haze of inebriation.
He looked down at her hand on his knee and then lifted his gaze to hers, finding her staring at him. Gods, she had such beautiful eyes. And a beautiful smile. She was beautiful. He stared back, a warm smile coming to his lips. "You are... very pleasant to be around, Mantis," he said. "And pleasant to speak with, and to look at, and to sit beside." Were he sobered, he might have said all of that more eloquently, but then again, had he been sober, he might have elected not to say anything at all on the subject.
The way she was saying he had something to offer, and that he could find a new purpose, that it wasn't too late... Nuada was much too drunk to let his usual defensiveness or pessimism ruin the positive sentiments flowing from her words. Instead, he simply felt happy in that moment, and that was something he hadn't felt in a long time. "Perhaps I shall..." he said, "...knowing that you believe in me that I can." With that, he moved to lay his head on her shoulder, something he never did with anyone, really, but again... he was rather drunk. A soft sigh escaped him and he reached to lay his hand over hers on his knee.
She'd said he had so much to offer. He wished he had something to offer her specifically.
Going Knowhere || closed with thenexusofsouls
She was home. Mantis was finally home again. Not because Knowhere was her home as a place, but because home was where the Guardians were.
It had been two years since Mantis chose to bid farewell to the Guardians, leaving to find her own purpose while Quill left to return to Earth. The Celestial siblings had stopped running from their past, and it was freeing, as scary as the choice had been. Mantis had taken the three Abilisks with her… and the green seed Nuada gave her, of course.
Moments after landing, Mantis was greeted by some of the residents that lived on Knowhere. She rarely wanted to draw attention to herself, but she knew the three giant Abilisks would attract a few looks. Drax was all over her. He had picked her up at least three times to hug her, tightly squeezing Mantis until her eyes bulged from her skull. Part of the reason why Mantis had been at peace leaving his side was because now there were other children, children who needed him, after he spent years protecting Mantis since she reminded him of his daughter.
“Okay, Drax, enough! I want to say hello to everyone else,” she exclaimed, patting his back until he finally put her down.
Nebula, Kraglin and Adam hugged her affectionately, but soon enough Groot pushed them aside so he could hug Mantis, as well as Rocket. Cosmo licked Mantis’ face and Mantis giggled, patting the dog’s head. Cosmo was still the best girl in the galaxy.
When Mantis asked where Quill was, Drax told her he was still on Earth, but he wrote to the Guardians regularly to let them know he was okay. They were family, all of them, and they would always be.
“I say we throw a party tonight,” Rocket suggested. “You’re back, bug. We've gotta celebrate. What do ya think?”
“That sounds good! Thank you, Rocket,” Mantis said.
“Abilisks!” someone cried nearby, and collective screaming followed.
After reassuring everyone that the Abilisks were with her, lest panic took over all of Knowhere, Mantis asked the Guardians if they knew where Prince Nuada was. She had left without saying goodbye to anyone but the Guardians, and she wondered if Nuada would be angry with her. Rocket and Groot offered to look after her Abilisks while Mantis looked for the Elven Prince.
Mantis walked with more self-assurance than before. She no longer held her hands in front of her body, letting her arms swing at her sides instead. She was more poised now, secure in herself yet more mellow. Confident – but not unfriendly. As if her two years of complete independence had allowed her to grow more than her several centuries with Ego. She wandered over to the spot where Nuada was, following the direction Rocket had told her, and a few bark children appeared to say hello. Mantis smiled and waved at them. She remembered taking them to Knowhere shortly after bringing Nuada's people, as well as Mr. Wink. She never wanted Nuada to choose either his people or his friends; he could have both. She tilted her head when she spotted Nuada, and offered a polite smile.
"Hello," she said, trying not to make things awkward. "Good to see you," she added. "Okay, I know I left without saying goodbye, but... I already said goodbye to my friends, and I realized if I stayed a little longer to say goodbye to everyone, I would not leave. I would just think about how much I would miss everyone and stay. The seed is fine, by the way! I have been speaking to it regularly and making sure it knew it was a good seed. My Abilisks would keep it safe when I couldn't, so... yeah."

Honestly I don't think I'm qualified to make this post, I just don't know if I can make coherent enough words man. But the thoughts are in there and I will try to articulate them. This is probably going to be mostly images though. anyway yeah KABRU POST.
A couple nights ago (at approximately 2:30am, lasting a little over half an hour) I had a bit of a moment about Kabru. That, too, was mostly images- most of what you see in this more concise post were presented then as well. I think my main points of the "moment" were about Kabru's trauma + self hatred, his autism and/or general otherness, and also a little labru if you'd like..
I think something easy to start with is I wanna point out Kabru's constant back and forth and conflicting opinions of demihumans and how, I believe, thats a reflection of how he goes back and forth on what he believes his purpose of living is- and the general worth of his own life. I've said it before and i've just kinda shown it in images; Kabru is "i think im a monster and it disgusts me" where Laios is "I know im a human and it disgusts me" (i could go more into the latter on another post)
the above are both from the world bible, with the left being from the section on kobolds and the right being from the section on Kuro specifically. Utaya was very near to the desert where most of the kobold population is, this is likely why Kabru is able to speak Kuro's language- he grew up around demihumans. (chapter 48 cover, kobold chapter in the world bible) I won't try to speak for how his mother or the rest of utaya felt about the kobolds but I can say that Kabru was very much othered as a child, as was his mother, purely for the way her son's (kabru) eyes looked.
I feel like its fair enough to say that both kabru and the kobolds were othered, and possibly for similar reasons (villager's seeing them as nonhuman, as monsters) and the fact that Kabru learned their language probably didn't help his case. I think his perception of kobolds (and all demihumans, subsequently himself, as he probably still views himself as nonhuman or not human enough.. deep down) was damaged by the Utaya incident. at 2:30am when I first started this ramble my main comment was that "had the utaya incident not happened kabru would have little reason to feel ashamed for his connection to monsters. and may have ended up similar to laios in that he couldve had otherkin swag" which is just a sort of silly way of saying Kabru could've learned to love the thought that he is possibly nonhuman or at least not hated himself so much for it.
in the original ramble I said, and quote, "he has been STALKING laios. laios is his hyperfixation to learn how he can ever be loved. he keeps going back and forth so harshly on wether or not he wants to kill Laios and he clearly sees his survival from utaya not as an unfortunate trauma [*] but as a necessary, deserved fate. a punishment for his mother's witchy sins, and for his sin of being non-human. to atone for it all, to apologize for being alive, he tries to better the lives of all humanity. He was set on his way to dethrone the governor of the island . do you understand? im going insane" *i also said somethings about the way he processes other people's traumas and not his own. He's able to understand and even help some people, but he struggles to process his own issues and see himself as worthy of love and life.
^some examples of Kabru being understanding of or helping others who have suffered greatly. I think its also worth mentioning that with Rin (called "Lynn" in that translation) he says "I wish there was a way to get her out of this" though he's insisted and pushed for himself to go into a dungeon;
In chapter 94, Mithrun says "The desire I had left wasn't revenge. All I wanted.. was for it to finish devouring me." and I don't feel like it's a stretch to say Kabru was in a similar situation. Mithrun sought out the demon with no plan on how to kill something like that because deep down he wanted it to end his (Mithrun's) own life, to finish the trauma it caused and kill him. I think Kabru went into the dungeon in part with the hopes that it'd kill him. That the same thing that destroyed Utaya and caused him so much trauma would just.. finish him.
I just think Kabru is a beautifully complex character, I have a lotta thoughts on him and I don't see nearly as many analysis posts for him than I do Laios (despite labru being such a popular ship)
there is no tldr for this post idk how to summarize it. do what you will with this collection of images. have fun. go crazy
fun fact the woman in the bottom left corner is his mother, she is labeled here as "witch"
#dungeon meshi#delicious in dungeon#dunmeshi#kabru#kabru dungeon meshi#kabios#labru#yeah its a long post i dont care. read it#also i only mentioned it briefly but i do think kabru is autistic .#yk that post thats like 'no im not autistic i know all the social cues etc etc etc. hey wait a minute' yeah. that#ok whatever. starts making another laios post

Andy I just had a thought.. Shouto kabedon.. i’m very sane about this
Omg I loooveeeeeeeee this omg!!!!!!! You are a genius!!!!!!! This ask unlocked something inside of my brain; this is barely coherent and unedited but I offer you this heartfelt nonsense in return.
contents: shouto x reader, sfw, implied fem reader, aged-up characters, 1.7k
You tried to ignore it when you first heard Mineta say it.
"Trust me, the babes love it," he'd lisped to his doubtful audience—Kaminari, a befuddled-looking Kirishima, and Shouto, whose face was so impassive you'd actually been under the impression he wasn't listening.
The former members of UA's graduating class of 2X74 were stuffed into Kaminari's new apartment for a party. It was mostly the heroics department, but you'd spotted a few of your fellow general course graduates as you'd passed through the kitchen to grab a drink. You'd come out into the living room to see Mina and Jirou—as well as pretend like you weren't ogling your long-time crush Shouto—but you found you were immediately regretting leaving the safety of that kitchen.
"And you've... done it?" Kirishima asked, eyebrows scrunched.
Mineta made a show of inspecting his fingernails like it was nothing to him—which you seriously doubted. "Trust me, women like assertiveness. This move is plastered all over their romance manga."
You took another sip from your drink. You wanted to pretend like you weren't hearing this, but Mina and Jirou were making it hard, Jirou stone-faced next to you and Mina unsuccessfully trying to filter her gleeful laughter into her own drink.
"Do you think women even know it's a kabedon, if he does it?" she asked, leaning in to whisper.
Jirou looked doubtful.
"He's like, waist height," you whispered back, sighing. "I don't even know if his arm would reach the wall either...?"
"I think it probably looks like he's just trying to hold himself up," Mina said, her grin unholy.
"I pity the woman he's attempted it on," Jirou said drily.
"—you're sure?" Kaminari was saying when you turned back to the boys' conversation, also looking doubtful.
"One hundred percent success rate," Mineta insisted, eyebrows wiggling.
Despite yourself, your eyes slid over to Shouto, like they almost always did, wandering over that handsomely thoughtful expression. It was the thing you liked the most about him—how his angelically beautiful visage was at stark odds with how awkward and kind of strange he was; how he looked like an ice prince but was one of the warmest, kindest people you'd ever spoken to.
You'd been paired for a couple assignments back in school, hung out on the periphery of his Class A friend groups, and had ended up teaching him a fair few things about how to cook and do laundry when he'd asked. He'd even rescued you during one of the many attacks that made up your time at UA together—which was really when your crush hit you full-force.
He'd been so gentle with you, carrying you out of harm's way when your injured leg had crumpled beneath you, and the careful way he'd handled you had been so at variance with the raw, roiling power he'd wielded on the battlefield—the tidal waves of ice that swept up the villains, the towering wall of fire that mercilessly choked off any of their escape points.
You thought Shouto was one of the most gentle, well-mannered men on earth.
He would probably never kabedon someone. He would never need to—people fell all over themselves for him.
"The babes fall right into your arms," Mineta said, raising his voice to encompass the knot of girls stuffed together on the loveseat. "Isn't that right, ladies?"
"I'm going to get another drink, the image of Mineta trying to kabedon me needs to be wiped from my brain," you told the girls, flinging yourself over Mina's legs in your haste to escape.
The kitchen was a welcome reprieve, and you dug around in Kaminari's fridge for another can, letting the cool air wash over you. You studiously ignored that all Kaminari seemed to have in his fridge was a pile of moldering grapes and some mayo.
Can acquired, you briefly considered not going back out into the living room and abandoning Mina and Jirou to their fate. But the pull of Shouto was too strong, and with a sigh you resigned yourself to more of Mineta's lechery.
In the hallway, however, you stumbled into the man himself, coming towards you from the opposite direction. You were struck momentarily dumb by the way the breadth of his shoulders seemed to take up almost the entire span of the hall, the way his fading summer tan looked against the light-blue of his button up. He was so handsome even when he was just walking, it was so deeply unfair.
"Hi Shouto," you said, raising your can in a salute, hoping your voice sounded normal. "Careful in Kaminari's fridge, he's culturing something on his grapes."
Shouto blinked down at you, those beautiful mismatched eyes growing a little wider. "Y/N," he greeted you, though there was a note of something strange in his voice, like there was something weird about you that he hadn't expected.
You wondered if you'd spilled something on yourself like a child, and decided to detour to the bathroom on your way back. How embarrassing.
You gave him a rueful grin, stuffing yourself against the wall so you wouldn't accidentally bump a strong shoulder as you passed, swearing vengeance on your drink if it had betrayed you in this moment—
Except, suddenly there was a hand against the wall in front of you, blocking your passage down the hall. You startled, whipping back around to stare at Shouto, only to find him looming way closer than you had anticipated.
Your back bumped the wall as he crowded you in, his other arm coming up to press against the wall on your other side, caging you inside his reach.
Your mind was so overwhelmed with the sight of him this close—that straight, blade-thin nose, that full, pouty mouth—the light touch of some expensive cologne at his collarpoints—that it took you a second to catch up with what was going on.
Your mouth dropped open when you registered that Todoroki Shouto had just—kabedoned you?—was actively kabedonning you? what the literal fuck—in the middle of Kaminari's hallway.
"Shouto? What—?" you managed, your voice strangled. The air felt like it was resisting you, refusing to be drawn into your lungs.
Shouto's voice was low and intimate as he answered, sending a mortifyingly visible shiver right down your spine. "Is it working?"
You gaped at him, eyes flickering over his serious expression. "Is—what—?"
Shouto shifted even closer, so that his face was a scant two inches from yours. You were suddenly, horrifyingly aware of how close his mouth was, how tall and strong and warm he was over you.
"Do you plan to fall into my arms?" Shouto asked. "Mineta said women liked it."
It was a fight for your life to make the connection over the static in your brain, the lack of oxygen in the air. Mineta had said women would fall for you if you kabedonned them... Shouto was.... kabedonning you.... computation pending...
"You... want it to work?" you asked, words clipped. You felt like any stray movement and your mouth would brush his, and you didn't know if he wanted—it was too strange to think that he might—
"Yes," Shouto replied, his handsome face serious. Those heterochromatic eyes searched over you, trailing over your features like a warm touch. "I want it to. Am I... not doing it correctly?"
Your face heated, and an entire conservatory of butterflies took flight in your stomach. You could not believe what was going on right now.
"No you're—you're doing it right."
Shouto's face was even closer, then, his mouth a whisper away from yours. "Then you have fallen for me," he said, sounding like both a question and a conclusion. He looked like he didn't know what to do next.
You had to suppress a laugh, charmed and mystified and nervous all at once. He was so reliably strange—of course he had taken Mineta's assertions at face value. And he was so straightforward, of course he had implemented the advice straight away. He was so silly, you liked him so, so much.
"I... have," you said, a helpless smile creeping over your lips. "Although it was a while before the kabedon, to be honest."
Shouto blinked, and you could just barely see his mouth grow a little slack in surprise. "Oh," he said, a hint of a shy smile touching his mouth. "Good."
"Yeah. Good," you said, your own grin going wider.
Shouto's eyes dipped down to your mouth, and his eyelashes fluttered. A thrill of anticipation went down your spine, your knees suddenly liquefying, as Shouto leaned back in, and your own eyes fluttered closed.
The press of his mouth was hot and soft—perfect, like you'd always fantasized it would be. He shifted closer, so that he pressed against you, and you had to tilt your head back to accommodate how tall he was, reveling in the strength and the heat of him over you. One of his hands left the wall to thread into your hair as he kissed you, cradling the back of your head like you were something precious, and your stomach swooped in response.
He kissed you boneless, absolutely stupid against the wall of Kaminari's hallway, and it was all your could do to wrap your arms around him and kiss him back. You didn't know how long it was that the two of you stood there, wrapped up in one other. All you knew was you never wanted Shouto's mouth to leave yours again, never wanted to leave the circle of his embrace.
So of course an appreciative whistle broke the two of you apart. You tore your mouth away from Shouto's only to find Mineta standing at the end of the hall, grinning like a wolf. A tiny, lecherous little wolf.
"Nice one, Tododoki," he said, like you weren't even there.
You bristled, stiffening in Shouto's arms as you glanced back at him quickly to measure his response. But the dazed look on Shouto's face pulled you up short, and he looked at Mineta like he wasn't really seeing him.
"You were right," was what he eventually managed. "The kabedon is very effective. Now if you will excuse us, I need to do it again."
A shocked laugh escaped you as Shouto's hand seized yours, and then you were being pulled around the corner into Kaminari's bathroom. Shouto walked you back against the door, an arm coming up just like before, pinning you against the door.
Another pleased laugh was muffled in Shouto's mouth as he took yours again, cupping your face to his. The lock clicked shut behind you.

Part 3 for the fitclet I did for @keferon 's mecha pilot jazz au! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
For those who missed it:
Part 1 || Part 2
This is probably the longest out of all the 3 parts, dear god, I went all in. It came out bigger than I ever expected it to be. I was not expecting it to go this far honestly, but the parasites in me, they begged for more. So here we are! :D
Again tho, idk how in character they will be here, but I tried my best \(*T▽T*)/. Also, kinda bullshitted my way through in worldbuilding bc idk how things work exactly- and I had to come up with stuff on my own, even tho I'm not that good in mecha world stuff, so I'm sorry for any inaccuracies ^^;;
Now, to give credit to those who so desperately deserve it:
My sister @saltynsassy31 for helping me when I couldn't write out some of my ideas and doing it herself (so consider this as a bit of a frankenstein monster of both our writing styles, mainly during intense scenes. If there is any fancy words in this, it's cuz of her) and being my beta reader for this part. Seriously yall, this wouldn't have been as coherent and well written without her help!
Also huge thanks to my online sister @yayadrawsthingz for helping out when I hit a few road blocks during this!
And finally, a huge huge thanks to my honorary online uncle @hexyz09 for helping me finish off the final fight scene when I got stuck during some plot holes and road blocks, or generally just writing myself into a corner and having to help me leave it, despite not knowing jackshit about the au, let alone the ship and characters themselves, but was still willing to help me through in working on the plot, in this crazy obsession of mine XD
Yall have no idea how much help these guys were. Probably wouldn't be able to finish without either of their help ᕦ(òωóˇ)ᕤ
Oh and an honourable shoutout to the song "Headlock" by Imogen Heap! Kept listening to this on loop as it kept my drive up to write this.
Now onto the fic!
---
Prowl ignored Jazz's various attemps to push out his servo from the cockpit. Despite the mech being weak himself, the human was still no match against thousands of pounds of metal, especially in his own weakened state.
Which was a matter of its own at the moment. Prowl knew he had very little time to be able to run ahead before the other humans caught on to them, having noticed the alarm bells ringing through the facility.
So he ran towards the exit Jazz had initially pointed out, the only plan they had at the moment.
...
"Prowl! Prowler, hey! I know you can hear me! Prowl!" Jazz shouted as he slammed yet another fist in a failed attempt to nudge the bot's servo out of the way. He hasn't said a word since picking Jazz up, and he wasn't sure how long that was, maybe not that much, but it felt too long yet too little at the same time (what a headache).
Sliding down, he gently hit his forehead over the protective servo and let out a sigh of defeat. No way he could get him to move like this.
Why was he trying to anyways? Didn't he want to be with Prowl? He certainly did, but somehow, something in him made him feel like he shouldn't just be accepting this.
And maybe Prowl also knew this, which is why he took off and hasn’t said a word since. Both held conflicted feelings about the whole thing. If only things didn't feel so blurry right now!
Suddenly, a hard shift made Jazz stumble a bit, grasping at whatever he could so he didn't fall back, loud noises of metal scrapping metal could be heard as something got kicked open on the outside. Jazz scrambled over to the small crevice that opened between Prowl's digits, not enough for him to fit anything over other than his hand, but enough to get a glimpse of what was happening outside.
Prowl had kicked down the exit door to the lab ('not like he had the hands available to properly open the damn thing anyways' Jazz thought to himself). It was meant for mechas to exit the room after they finish off whatever it is they do in here, that Jazz knew, and if he was right, just down the hall there will be another exit leading to the backroom where they stockpiled the mech suits. No one but the technicians were usually supposed be there, it would be an easy fight to get to the big gate that lead to the outside training grounds, which is why Jazz had pointed for the mech to go down there in the first place.
There shouldn't have been a problem besides giving him time to leave unscathed. Which Jazz assumed would not be the case as he was currently inside Prowl and not buying him time to escape. But, to Jazz's surprise, nothing had come close to attacking them, yet.
The pilot did not have much time to contemplate it as suddenly he heard Prowl rumble an annoyed grunt.
"Don't move."
In shock, Jazz stumbled back as Prowl removed his hand and reached for the end of the overhead gate, seemingly alot harder to kick down than a two way door. The only thing it would really do would be to bend the metal a bit but it wouldn't give an open entrance. Jazz didn't dare leave, not like he could from this hight, but even if he could, Prowl would probably just pick him up again; it be a waste of energy really (just admit it, you don't want to leave him). But something about this felt wrong, so far they haven't had a single guard come down the hall, just this small pause would give them enough time to catch up to the two runaways, Jazz was sure that guards had been on his tail when he was under his rampage.
Unless...
Wait.
"Prowl! Wait don't open that gate!" But he was too late, the moment he uttered those words the mech had already been in motion and pushed the gate up with all his might and as quickly as he opened it a gun shot came through the otherside. They had been waiting for them, they knew where they were heading. The bastard he kicked down prior to this probably saw them and reported it, dammit.
Prowl let out a strangled cry of pain as the shot landed right on his left shoulder (like it wasn't damaged enough by the lack of arm), Jazz fell backwards with the harsh motions, hitting the back of the pilot's seat, the impact leaving his vision to go dark for a few seconds before he collected himself as quickly as he could. In an instant though, just as he tried to get back up to see what was outside, Prowl had put his hand back over the open cockpit.
No...he wouldn't be able to fight like this, protecting him as he is would only hinder the bot to more damage. And that's exactly what Jazz intended to express to the other. "Prowl! You won't be able to fight with your hand over me! Forget about holding me inside, I won't leave, I promise!"
"That's not the point!" Prowl growled, letting out another hiss of pain as more shots were loaded, someone shouting out for them to stand down.
Prowl couldn't risk leaving Jazz exposed. Unlike the human, Prowl could take a few shots, their weapons not being strong enough to inflict any serious damage to his plating (though perhaps a bit to his exposed protoform, though he could handle it for a little while longer). But it would take one lucky shot on Jazz to have him dead in an instant, and Prowl couldn't take that chance.
It seemed like Jazz got the message, not spitting back any sort of remark about Prowl's lack of explanation.
But the mech couldn't linger too much on those thoughts, he had to get out, and fast. He was losing too much energon, and his vision was starting to get blurry, which wasn't a good sign. It didn't help that his thoughts were a hazy mess, his usual ability to think logically overthrown by the panic of needing to get out of this place while ensuring Jazz's survival.
It's not like he had much to do, though. Any possible escape hindered by the fact he couldn't use his weapons unless he risks Jazz's life to one lucky shot. Perhaps he could make a run for it, knock through the mechas in front of him and let them tumble over as he reached the final exit; it wasn’t the best plan perhaps, with at least a 19% rate of success, given he isn't in the best physical state at the moment, he probably wouldn't be strong enough to knock them over. Added to the fact the exit wasn't shut by a gate he could simply knock over easily either, like the previous one. He'd have to push it open from the bottom, and there wasn’t enough time for him to act on it.
But he'd have his back turned to the shots, reassuring Jazz's own safety, so he could perhaps risk removing his servo to push the gate open once more.
With a quick warning from his HUD telling him his energon levels were getting dangerously low, Prowl decided to take the risk, with little time left, he took a step forward making a run for it.
The mechas seemed to ready themselves for his attack, quickly positioning their weapons to target him, closing any narrow space they had between each other.
What they didn't expect was for the mech to charge his whole body weight onto them. Despite not feeling any pain, they certainly could not fight against gravity itself. They all stumbled against each other as Prowl made a mad dash to the gate. He slid on his knees and made a quick reach for the bottom of the gate, anxiously removing his hand from over the cockpit, bending over protectively as to not have anything be able to aim inside.
He could feel his spark beating fast from anxiety, they were so close, they'll be able to leave soon enough. Jazz was most certainly having a good feel to Prowl's anxious beat, the loud thruming reaching the bot's own audials was most certainly deafening to the human sitting near it.
Then, a shot.
A pop.
A blinding light.
And the beat stops.
Jazz was curling in on himself as an instinct to protect himself from the sudden burst behind him. It only took a few seconds for him to realise what that was once he couldn't hear a single beat of a spark, or the burning sensation it left, feeling his own heart stop and drop to his gut.
It felt like the world around him suddenly stopped, everything going into slow motion, with no sounds to accompany the dread. Feeling as Prowl's body leaned foward to crash on the ground.
But just as quickly as the silance came, it left. Prowl catching himself from hitting the ground with a grunt, a slam could be heard as his arm and elbow made contact with the concrete floor. His spark beating, weakly, but beating nonetheless. What felt like hours of silance was only a quick few seconds of deafening dread.
"Prowl!" Jazz called out in desperation, reaching out to hold the edges of the cockpit, so not to fall out, but to also try and comfort his anxiousness as he tried to look up at the mech's face. The mech made a sound of acknowledgement, which came out more like broken static, but didn't make much effort to move, his face scrunched up in pain, optics shut. They shot him on his back, too close to where his spark would be, causing him to skip a beat, and busting a bit of his left doorwing, but it still seemed to function somewhat.
Suddenly, both of them picked up on the sound of something opening, giving no time for either to fully process what had just occurred. Prowl made a quick move to get his hand over the cockpit once more (with slight struggle as he stumbled and fell on his aft) as a thick metal slab emerged from above and beneath, right in front of the gate, shutting it close with a protective layer of metal. Guessing by the red alarm ringing around them, an emergency protocol to keep anyone from leaving. Slag.
The mechas surrounded them, guns all aimed to shoot at the alien mech if he didn't comply.
It was silent for a brief moment, in exception to Prowl's anxious beating spark (which wasn't a problem for Jazz at the moment, the burning warmth being somewhat comforting) and Jazz's own heart beating over his ears. Both catching their breaths.
"There's no point in fighting. So make this easy for all of us and surrender yourselves." A nobody pilot finally spoke out, weapon leaning a tad closer than the others.
The atmosphere felt heavy, they were pinned down. Really, the only thing they could do was surrender, but Jazz would sure as hell be reprimanded for his actions and Prowl.....he didn’t want to think about that. No, he wouldn't even allow that thought to become any sort of reality.
"Prowl" he whispered, knowing only the mech would hear him, leaning a gentle souch to his servo as if to beg, "I know you might not have alot of trust 'n me, but this might be our best shot." There was a tense shift, not too noticeble unless you could see the mechanisms from the inside, Prowl knew what he was about to suggest. "You need to let me pilot you." He cringed as he felt the other's servo stiffen, he wasn't pleased with the idea, and neither was Jazz, but he knew this place alot better than Prowl did, and knew how to properly defeat the mechas, knowing their weak spots. And Prowl was all too aware of that too, Jazz knew it. They both were very aware of it all.
"Please," he begged, leaning his forehead on the mech's servo yet again, "I can't lose you again." There was slight shift, Jazz looked up, though he obviously couldn't see the mech's face, the sigh he let out was loud and clear. The controls on the pilot's seat shifted, Jazz got the message:
'Alright'
He couldn't help but let a small smirk creep over his face, making way to sit down and start piloting.
"Under one condition though," Prowl suddenly whispered to him, though it was alot louder to Jazz on the inside.
"And what would that be, partner?" The title flew out too fast for Jazz to stop himself, feeling so natural to call Prowl partner once more. The mech didn't seem against it though.
"No removing my hand."
Jazz was left stunned for a quick second, though it felt like a minute for Prowl as he waited for a reply eagerly.
"I can work with that." Prowl let out a sigh of relief at that, allowing the human, his partner, to take control of him again.
It took a moment for Jazz to adjust himself, in the meantime, the people waited outside anxiously for the other to make a move. When Prowl finally started to shift around to stand up with a small grunt, everyone raised their guns and loaded them up, but didn't shoot just yet. The mech looked up at them with a deadly glare, but made no move to attack, his remaining arm not leaving the open cockpit for a second, he simply stood up with a slight slump to his posture, doorwings drooping down slightly. In all possible ways, he looked weak and defeated, no signs of fighting back.
One of the mechas walked closer, gun still aiming at Prowl, but it was lowered slightly. They reached a hand out expectantly.
"The pilot, hand him over." They demanded, no sympathy whatsoever.
Prowl clutched his chasis, anger pooling over in his spark, doorwings twitching up slightly, but he made no move to attack. Not yet. He heard Jazz speak to him in a low tone so only he could hear it, with a sigh, he relaxed. He slowly, very slowly, drew out his hand from the cockpit, the action in itself having the other mecha have their body relax slightly as they approached the mech, weapon being put down slightly enough, and so did the others around them. Jackpot.
Before he fully removed his servo, the mech made move to crouch down and in a swift motion swung a peed over to the mechas own, catching them off balance and knocking them down. Jazz let out a small hiss to the action, forgetting his own injured leg, but pushed on regardless.
Using the thrusters of his doorwings, they were able to balance themselves back up, Prowl's servo going back into fully protecting it's pilot once more. With most weapons being aimed up and not down, it took a delayed second to aim correctly, but it was enough time for the human and cybertronian duo to twist themselves out of harms way.
Before the fallen pilot could attempt to get up, Jazz made move to aim over the weak spot of their mecha's knee and stepped hard enough to break its mechanisms so they couldn't stand back up easily. But the glory was short lived as more shots were fired their way.
Jazz's hand twitched to move and use its weapons, but he resisted the urge with a slight huff, "Man, 's hard to fight without an arm!"
"This is none negotiable, Jazz." Prowl hissed as they made move to avoid more shots.
"I know, I know! Don't mean it makes it easier!" Jazz tried to analyse their surroundings, though it was made difficult with the many HUD warnings from all the injuries (the pilot couldn't help but mutter a broken "I'm so sorry" to his partner, whether the mech heard him or not he wasn't sure), but pushing through it, he took note of a few key details. There was a metal catwalk grate near above the mechas' heads, running with a few on ground troops, the bastard of a boss being one of the few amongst them. Near a corner stood an elevator to go up and down the area.
How that could help, Jazz wasn't sure yet.
A shot hit Prowl's arm, pain flowed through the mech as he moved out of the way once more. Jazz looked around in a frenzy to find a place to shield themselves....the mechas! Making a run for to the lifeless husks, he swivelled around between them and hid behind the many rows of mechas knowing full well that they would not risk such precious resource and money just to reach them. At least he hoped not, because he just needed a little bit of time to figure something out.
Hearing the big man call out to hold their fire was good enough indication that his idea worked.
"Ok, now we just need somethin' to distract them long enough for us to make a jump to the ceiling." Jazz explained
"The ceiling?" Prowl inquired, not so certain about his partner's ability to properly think at the moment.
Jazz rolled his eyes, but didn't make mention of the mech's tone. "It's the weakest point here, plus" he made way for Prowl to look up to where he remembered the area to be at, "there's a trap door for flying mechas and emergencies. One quick press of a button will open it up, even under "safety protocols."" Prowl let out a hum in thought, seeming to analyse the situation.
"Possible, but where is this said button?"
"Behind the elevator, by the catwalk grating on top. There's a control panel, and one big red button, can't miss it."
"Would smashing it still get it to work?"
"Yes."
"Then I don't have any complaints."
"Good, now," Jazz went back to scanning the area, "how to cause a distraction?"
"Would that broken pipe be of any use?" Prowl made an effort to twitch his head over to the direction of what he wanted Jazz to see. And just as the mech stated, there, by the first floor of the elevator, stood a broken pipe, steam coming out of it.
Jazz smirked "it would actually. If we can get somethin' to shoot at it, we might cause an explosion, giving us time to jump up without being the target anymore."
"Sounds like a plan." Prowl shrugged.
"Don't have anything to add?" Jazz asked a bit surprised.
"No, I don't." The pilot didn't push.
"Okay. Well, let's get these bastards shootin." In quick motion, they made way to the elevator, already hearing the commands to shoot fire, 'but watch for the machines!' Weapons were loaded from above as well, shooting down at the two runaways once again.
Jazz made sure to move swiftly behind the mechas, making sure they were shielded properly. Any gaps they had to cross was a small risk they needed to take, scrapes and scratches being left in its wake, but tried not to do it too often, just enough that they could follow them. They eventually reached where the pipes were, Jazz took a deep breath.
"Ready, big guy?"
"Ready."
They stepped foward, making sure to call the attention towards where they were, but quickly retrieting back behind the mechas suits as they shot directly where they wanted to hit. "Bingo."
Quickly, activating Prowl's thrusters, they leaped over to the metal grates that stood above them as the pipes behind them burst, causing a huge commotion as empty mechas fell down and whatever machine near the crossfire tumbled down. Prowl let out a gasp as he felt the world around him spin, the grating beneath them not being of any help as it shook with his weight. Jazz was quick to hold on, helping the mech stablise himself before aiming with his left foot to kick the big red button with their ticket out of here, the motion causing his vision to flash in pain, but he bit his toung until he could taste iron and pushed forward.
Hearing the metal door above them open up, Jazz readied himself, but hesitated with the warning he'd received from Prowl's HUD from his low energon levels. He didn’t even get the chance to fully check on it though, Prowl quickly pushing them out of the way himself.
"I'll live, just one more push." The mech hastily reassured the human. Jazz wasn't inclined to belive it though, feeling the other's spark beat anxiously (and for some reason that made him feel slightly dizzy. Though he chalked it up to it being his possible concussion).
It took one shot to slip an inch away from Prowl's face for them to finally snap out of it and jump. One more push from his thrusters as they flew up through the trap door and landed on top of the roof with a grunt, the mech's left wing finally giving out.
But they weren’t in the clear yet. Looking out, a wasteland of a forest awaited them, with dense trees at the bottom.
"We'll have to make a jump for it. If we're lucky enough the trees will be big enough to hide us." Jazz supplied.
"45% of that happening. But we don't have much of another option at the moment." Prowl added
With all that being said, Jazz moved into action. With so much at stake, he had to, he couldn't waste another second in debating. Hefting Prowl up, he used all remaining strength to jump where they needed to go, but as the training grounds began to get closer than anticipated, Prowl knew they didn’t make the jump and that made the mech almost freeze.
Though Jazz had other plans, because as their impending flat doom approached in rapid speed, Prowl's remaining thruster burst to life and gave that final impusle they needed to reach the slope. They both braced themselves as they were thrown up and over to their intended destination, Prowl having half a mind to tighten his hold over his chest so none of the debris and impact could reach the fragile human still in his care.
They rolled down the slope, Prowl just barely being able to shift himself so that he was sliding on his back instead. The aggresive motion of going down a not so smooth path causing bigger cuts and slashes against his already damaged frame. But the only thing he could think of at the moment was that they made it.
Jazz was quick to let go of his control over Prowl, who in turn made an effort to sit properly. Though the sudden slamming to his servo made him look down worriedly, moving it slightly to see Jazz leaning on it desperately.
"Prowl-" he heaved, "Prowl put me down I'm feeling sick."
The mech panicked and quickly made move to help the human down, gently placing him on the grass below. Jazz made no effort in being graceful as he hurled over and puked his guts out, luckily avoiding Prowl in all of this.
Clutching his stomach in pain, his heaving and coughs agitating the injuries on his abdomen. Everything around him felt blurry and muffled as his body made sure to get everything he had eaten in the past day out of him.
What made him panic was the sudden taste of iron in his mouth as he coughed up whatever he had left inside. That's not good. And that definitely didn't escape the giant mech's notice, who kept a hovering servo near him.
"Jazz! Is that blood?!" His voice sounded so broken, static lacing over his words.
"Uh- Yeah. Yeah it is." He wasn't sure how to deny that really, and he felt too light-headed to try. But his attention diverted to the sudden pink glow that landed at the side of his vision.
Energon.
Quickly looking up, he finally got a glance at his partner's battered condition. Energon leaked from many different parts of his body, but the main source being from his missing arm. Jazz couldn't help but cringe at that.
But what hurt him the most to see was the weak light from the mech's optics, which still held visible concern on them. Despite being close to going into offline, he still looked at Jazz as if he's about the crumble into dust and leave him. Which he honestly, maybe, felt like. But seeing Prowl's optics flicker as they fought to stay online, Jazz panicked
"What 'bout you?!" He called back, catching the bot off guard. "You're losing too much energon! You look like you're about to go offline!"
Prowl cringed a little, not having anything to counter that. "Well that's because I-"
"No! I'm only a little bit dizzy, but I'll live. We need to patch you up right now!"
"I can help with that."
The new voice catches the duo off guard, Prowl immediately reaching out to Jazz, hand shielding the human from whoever that might be. Jazz looked down from where he was looking at Prowl and turned to see who it was that the voice came from.
There standing in front of them was a human carrying a simple tool box and a huge backpack strapped over one shoulder, filled with questionable things.

BEFORE YOU LEAVE, a little something I would like to point out for the fic, that some of yall with either like or not, during the process of writing this, I've seen a few posts keferon made about the spark being radioactive and such, and it sorta made me think a bit while developing Jazz's condition. So well, take Jazz's health in this as you will with this info :)
But anyways, yippie!! That's all for today folks! I hope yall enjoyed this one bc I definitely had a heck of a time writing this one XD
It got alot bigger than I anticipated and took much longer to finish than I originally planned (was supposed to be done 2 days ago).
Now, I know I keep saying "not sure if I'll make another part to this" but then proceed to do so anyways. But I mainly do so because everytime I shared it someone said something that added to the story somehow and gave me ideas to continue foward.
So like, if yall liked this and wanna see more, don't be shy to suggest/add anything to this as it may help inspire me to add more onto this, cuz honestly idk what the fuck I'm doing rn, I'm just going with the flow ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
Also, a bit of note for the doodle, holy shit I did not expect it to look this good!! Tho I suffered with Jazz's suit, plz ignore any inaccuracies tee-hee. Prowl's knee and hands were hell too, especially his knee, but i could like, hide most of it lmao. Actually mainly struggled to not have his hand cover Jazz too much bc it kept covering the parts I actually wanted to show off lmao.
Oh and the guy at the end? Yall can take a good guess as to who it is :)
But since he doesn't have any official design, I kinda went with whatever felt right lol.
I also really wanted to draw out more scenes to add to the fic, but then it would take me a lot more time to actually post the fic as I figure out how to draw robots :'). But maybe I can try and doodle them out another time if I can, no promises tho-
#mecha pilot jazz au#oh god I'm so nervous about this one#i hope yall like it#and plz plz share whatever thoughts you have on this (as long as they're positive ofc bc my ego is very fragile YwY)#cake writed#yeah that's a tag now#cakes art#transformers#tf jazz#tf prowl#jazzprowl

Liberals say a lot of dumb shit, but if you're going to bother critiquing it then you need to understand what they're trying to say in the first place. Like "Late Stage Capitalism" isn't an especially useful or coherent term, but you can't dismiss it with "just say Imperialism" because that is very obviously not what people are talking about when they use it. Even just by contemporary usage, you should notice how it's nearly always employed by people complaining about declining quality of life (i.e. cuts to social safety nets, reduced domestic regulations, growing mismatch between costs of living and wages) within the Imperial Core. You never hear left liberals use it to discuss even the most obviously evil manifestations of Imperialism (i.e. coups and election subversion, "unjust" invasions, dropping napalm on children etc.) that even they are willing to criticise sometimes. In the contemporary discourse, it's functionally just a way to critique Neoliberalism by comparing it to Social Democracy- both are still equally Imperialist systems. Like "The Highest Stage of Capitalism" is consistently used by ML to mean imperialism, while "Late Stage Capitalism" is mostly used by Liberals to complain about getting an insufficient share of the loot.
There's also a need to consider that the idea of "Late Stage Capitalism" wasn't even popularised by left liberals; they merely adopted it and became its most enthusiastic users/abusers. The original use of the term "Late Capitalism" was in the early 20th century by reactionary (but Marxist influenced) German sociologist Werner Sombart to describe the state of capitalism in his time. However, by the 1960s it was most popular among members of the Frankfurt school of Marxism when discussing the features of the Post WW2 era. Its first popular use in English was in the 1975 translation of the thesis Late Capitalism by Belgian Trotskyist Ernest Mandel, but the person who popularised it the most was probably USamerican Marxist Frederic Jameson. He used it in his 1991 essay "Postmodernism or the Cultural Logic of Late Capitalism, which effectively engaged in the sort of "society has become soooo superficial and consumerist" critique that liberals are happy to eat up. This implanted the phrase firmly in the heads of Anglophone Imperial-Core Left Liberals and adjacent revisionists, and by the 2010s as more and more people were drawn into that whole milieu ("became radicalised" as they like to put it) the phrase spread and spread and now you see it everywhere in any vaguely "leftist" space.
Now this whole summary isn't an attempt to defend the phrase by discussing its pedigree; I don't think it was ever a very good or useful phrase and that developments in global capitalism can be discussed without declaring the dawn of a new epoch based on a disconnected jumble of often superficial changes. My point is that the phrase has a whole history of its own; it's not something that got thoughtlessly made up one day and any meaningful critique of the phrase has to consider this. You need to meet people where they are at, based on what they're actually saying and not what it roughly sounds like they're saying. When you treat "Late Stage Capitalism" as just the Liberal version of "Highest Stage of Capitalism" because the two phrases sound kinda similar, it's criticism of the most superficial and idealist type. In your attempt to "pwn the liberals", you've ended up talking like one
#stella speaks#I've linked to essays about the works rather than the works in question because#A. I haven't personally read them I'm just tracing the way they use a particular phrase and#B. I'm not especially concerned with the works themselves but rather their context and impact#I don't especially care for any of them so track them down yourself if you want but I'm not inclined to help lmao

THANK YOUUU
( and sorry if this isn't coherent!!!)
hey bae here it is! Sorry it took so long, I had to flee from a hurricane... Didn't mention Hotch much in the first fic bc honestly i didnt think hed gaf like everyone else did lol. Anyway, here it is:
Special Consult - Spencer Reid
Word Count: 4.2k
Summary: The BAU has a tricky case, though the clock is ticking, only a matter of time till the unsub strikes again. And so they bring in some help: Spencer's girlfriend, the one person who can break into a millionaire serial killer's home undetected.
Warnings: some swearing, very brief violence
A/N: can be read as standalone but is technically part of my "Smooth Criminal" series.
____________
This unsub was slick.
An unsub in Virginia. Convenient enough for the BAU, only a few hours away.
This unsub had tortured and killed four girls, recording the events and sending tapes to the families of the victims.
According to the profile the BAU created, the unsub was way too sophisticated for these to be his first kills.
And it led the team to a man named Richard Smith. Thirty seven years old, with a wife and two kids.
The BAU knew he probably had more tapes, prior victims’ pain and suffering locked away somewhere. So the team came in with a warrant, turning his home upside down in search of not just tapes, but any piece of evidence that could be used against him.
They came up with nothing.
According to Garcia, that house was the only property under his name.
So were they wrong? Did they suspect the wrong guy? The BAU reevaluated the profile, coming out stumped.
It was him. It had to be him.
So how did they prove it? Did they have to catch him in the act of slaughtering another innocent woman to actually catch him?
“He should have the other trophies,” Morgan muttered, staring at the information on the whiteboard intently, “What are we missing?”
“Where else could he be hiding them?” Hotch asked, more to himself than the rest of the team, “There's no wooded area in a thirty-mile radius. A family member? Friend?”
“That doesn't fit the profile. He's incredibly secretive with his work, he would want it close to him, but hidden away,” said Reid.
“Garcia's on the line,” Prentiss gestured to the open laptop, Penelope’s face filling the screen. The team stopped conversing, bringing their attention to her.
“Hey, my loves, just got some juicy, juicy information on Mr. Richard Smith,” she began, “He had this home built in 2009, and I noticed something fishy with the blueprints. There was one room on the second floor labeled ‘mechanic room’.”
Rossi's brows furrowed in confusion, “We found no ‘mechanic room’? Where is it located?”
“The door is in the library!” She replied.
“In the library? There was no other door…” Realization hit Prentiss, “A panic room?”
“Possibly,” JJ agreed, “You think the evidence we need would be in there?”
“That could be where he's torturing the victims as well,” Hotch suggested.
Rossi wasn't convinced, “You think he could get those women in there without his wife and kids finding out? Even knowing their schedules, there's always the chance of them going off schedule at some point and accidentally catching him in the act.”
“It's worth a shot,” said Hotch, “Especially with his timeline. He should have his next victim now. He'll kill her tomorrow. Dump her the day after.”
“We don't have time for another warrant,” JJ pointed out in worry.
“Isabella Carson was reported missing two days ago,” added Garcia, “he's probably got her.”
“She doesn't have a lot of time left.” Said Rossi.
JJ crossed her arms over her chest, “What do we do then?”
“We have to save that girl,” Prentiss stated the obvious, “Warrant or not she needs us.”
“We can't just bust in there. Especially if we're wrong-” Derek paused, a grin forming on his face, “Who is someone who can get into that mega mansion undetected and get out just as undetected?”
“Someone who has done this before?” added Prentiss.
“And gotten away with it?” added JJ.
They all turned to Spencer, who looked at them in confusion. “What? I've never done that.”
“Not you, Reid,” Rossi deadpanned, “Y/N.”
Spencer's eyes widened, “Y/N? Absolutely not! She's never done a house robbery before!”
Y/N, Spencer's lovely girlfriend, was a diagnosed kleptomaniac, who can't resist her urges to steal. Most of the time, it was stupid things like a pencil or a pack of gum. She usually returned what she had stolen.
However, that was just most of the time.
She had admitted to robbing a bank once (well, multiple times, actually, but the team didn't need to know that). And other robberies like stores and gas stations.
She was a master with her hands, able to steal within seconds without a single person noticing.
“I'm not going to send her off to the home of the unsub.” Spencer said firmly, shaking his head.
“Reid, that girl is going to die unless we can find new evidence against him!” exclaimed Prentiss.
“As sad as that is, it's either her or my girlfriend,” Spencer said dryly, “And I don't know about you, but I'd like my girlfriend to live.”
“We will be right there. If she needs backup, we'll be there.” Rossi persuaded.
“Still, no. Besides, she has rehearsal tonight.” Reid said firmly.
His phone rang and he fished it out of his pocket to silence it.
Y/N.
“Gee, Reid, maybe you should answer.” Said Rossi.
“So you can harass her?” He scoffed.
“Reid's right, we can’t put Y/N in danger.” Said Hotch, “It’s unprofessional and dangerous.” Always the voice of reason.
“Then what do we do? We're going to have another body,” Derek pointed out.
“Another body?”
Spencer jumped and looked down at his phone, noticing he was holding it so tightly he had pressed the ‘accept’ button. “Oh… hi, Y/N.”
“Hey, baby. What's going on?”
__________
Oh, he was going to shit his pants.
Well, he wasn't, but he felt like he was going to, his girlfriend sitting surrounded by the BAU as she viewed the blueprints of Richard Smith's home.
“So I just have to go here?” Y/N asked, pointing at the room labeled ‘mechanic room’. “Easy enough,”
“It’s on the second floor,” Spencer reminded her, biting his bottom lip.
“Yeah. Should still be pretty easy.” she looked up at him, “Baby, sit down. You look like you’re going to pass out.”
“Because you’re going to infiltrate the house of the unsub!” he exclaimed. Was he the only one who thought this was crazy? That this was a terrible idea? “Hotch, would you let Hailey do something so dangerous?”
“Of course not,” Hotch answered honestly, “I think this is a bad idea too,”
“Come on,” Y/N scoffed at them, “I’m like a pro at this.”
“You’ve never broken into people’s homes before,” Spencer huffed.
“Actually, I have,” she noticed the looks the BAU members were exchanging, “A long time ago.”
“Kleptomaniacs steal from impulse. You broke into homes on impulse?” Rossi asked with a raised brow.
“Oh, no. That was for attention. Anyway…” Y/N looked down at the blueprints again, “Garcia, Imma need you to check to see if this guy has ever purchased an alarm system. Imma assume he has one, to keep all his rich people stuff safe.”
“I believe I saw a system when we searched the place,” JJ added helpfully.
“Ah, look at that,” Reid said, “Guess she can’t break in,”
“Of course I can. Don’t start doubting me now,”
Holy shit, can’t she take a hint? He didn’t want her to do this. He wanted her at her rehearsal, safe and far away from Richard Smith. Unfortunately for Spencer, her rehearsal was cancelled, which was why she had called him in the first place.
Y/N pulled him down to the seat next to her, an arm going around his waist as she began scribbling plans of execution all over the blueprints. "Relax," she said simply, which didn't help him relax at all.
“Don’t worry, pretty boy,” Morgan placed a hand on his shoulder comfortingly, “We’ll be right outside just in case. She’s not going to get hurt, even if she gets caught.”
“The only reason I’m allowing this,” Hotch pointed out, “...is because I believe she won’t get caught.”
“We value our jobs,” Rossi added.
“Think of it like this, baby: most of the times I got caught,” Y/N smirked, “It was because I wanted to be.”
______________________
The car ride towards Richard Smith’s home was silent.
Spencer was seated in the passenger seat, being the Passenger Princess he was, arms crossed, staring out the window with his bottom lip jutted out.
“Baby,” Y/N said.
“Humph,” was what she got out of him.
“Baby,” she repeated.
“What?” he finally faced her, arms still crossed over his chest.
“I’m going to be okay,”
“Why did you even agree to this?!” he finally exploded, his anger and worry finally coming out in one swift motion, “That man is a serial killer! He could kill you! And if I lose you…” he huffed again, turning to look out the window once again.
“You’re not going to lose me,” Y/N’s free hand went to his knee, the other on the wheel, “Besides, even if I did meet my unfortunate demise, I’ll make sure to haunt you.”
“This isn’t funny!” he whined, looking at her again with those big, sad puppy dog eyes that literally always got him what he wanted from her.
But not this time.
She chuckled softly, patting his knee, “Sorry, baby. Just trying to lighten up the mood.”
“It’s not working,”
“I’ll buy you a really nice present tomorrow,”
“You can’t do that if you’re a ghost,”
She hummed in response, “I’ll be a special ghost. You’ll know it’s me whenever you enter your apartment and somehow Girls’ Generation is playing,”
Finally, the corners of his lips curl up in a tiny smile, “Of course it’s Girls’ Generation. That’s how I know I’m really in a horror movie.”
“Whoa!” Y/N said dramatically, “Spencer Reid said a joke? A disrespectful one towards my queens, but a joke nonetheless!” she laughed, pinching his cheek. “I love you, baby. Never disrespect Girls’ Generation again, though,”
A giggle escaped him, “Yes, ma’am, I love you too” his smile faded when she parked the car, a few blocks away from Richard Smith. “Oh. We’re here,”
“Mhm, can you pass the equipment, please?”
With a sigh, Spencer reached towards the backseat and grabbed a headband with a camera attached. Y/N held out a hand to take it but Spencer ignored her, putting it on her himself. His brows were furrowed in concentration, bottom lip puffed out as he adjusted the camera on her head.
“Stop being cute, it makes me want to make out with you,” Y/N grumbled.
“Shut up, you’re going after the unsub, like you want me to have a heart attack. No kisses for you,”
“Okay, but like, if I do die and become a ghost, I won’t even need to haunt you, because the fact the last time I ever asked for a kiss, you denied me, and I die a few hours after will haunt you for the rest of your life.”
“Stop it!” he huffed, hitting her shoulder, “You’re making me nervous!”
“Does your team know you’re both demanding and abusive?” Y/N asked dramatically, rubbing her shoulder that didn’t even hurt.
“I'm neither,”
“You're demanding, a thousand percent. I guess you just save that for me.’
“No I don't!”
Y/N laughed, cupping his cheeks, “I love you. I'll be okay. This ain't my first rodeo.”
She leaned in for a kiss but he huffed at her. “No kisses for asshole girlfriends.”
“Shit, baby, you're evil.” she giggled, “I guess I should hurry up and get this over with so I can get some, eh?”
“Youre not getting shit.” it was a venomous thing to say, but he giggled again, leaning in and giving her a kiss. He was never much of a playful person, but with Y/N it was different. She was different. And he quite liked it.
“Ah, I'm such a bad influence, got you cursing all over the place,” she pinched his cheek lovingly before getting out of the car.
The couple gathered with the rest of the BAU, cramped in the back of a van where Garcia had computers set up, typing away.
“Alright,” she began, “We will be able to see everything you see,” she pressed a button, and the monitor changed, showing the side of Spencer's head, because that was exactly what Y/N was looking at. “There!”
“Remember your task. Look for tapes, or any other sort of evidence while you make your way up to the library. Once in there, access the panic room.” Hotch began, holding up a USB-like device, “Insert this into the lock, and Garcia will be able to find the pass code for you. Remember, the main goal of this mission is to get Isabella out of there.”
“I got you,” Y/N grinned, nodding, “Easy peasy,” she turned to Spencer, who looked ready to vomit. “I'll be okay! Promise. Have I ever broken a promise?”
Spencer looked up at her, plump bottom lip between his teeth, “No.”
She smiled, cupping his cheek, “I don't plan on starting now,” she kissed his cheek before pulling away, “Time to commit some crimes.”
________
Once the alarm system was disabled, Y/N found herself opening a window and entering the mega mansion’s dining room. The BAU stood huddled together at the monitor, watching her work.
“Shit,” she smirked, picking up the fancy centerpiece, “This is fancy,”
Spencer groaned, saying into the mic, “Y/N, focus.” She was wearing an earpiece to hear any direction from the team.
“Yeah yeah yeah,” she put the centerpiece down, “Find evidence. Got it.”
Fuck, he was biting at his nails, silently cursing out his team for coming up with this idea, cursing out Y/N for agreeing to this. He felt like vomiting.
Y/N began searching around the first floor: dining room, living room, other living room (?), kitchen, and then… the first bedroom.
“I’m going to throw up,” Reid muttered, head in his hands.
“The fun’s just started,” she said smugly, twisting the knob quietly. She entered the room, and Spencer realized he was holding his breath.
Richard Smith’s daughter, Emma, was fast asleep in her bed, luckily with a pair of headphones on, easing Spencer’s worries somewhat. Y/N began rummaging through her things, looking to see if her father might have left something in her room. For all they knew, the whole family could be in on it.
“Holy shit,” Y/N whispered.
“What?! What is it?!” Spencer exclaimed, feeling his hands begin to sweat.
“Do you see Richard?” asked Hotch, brows furrowed, his usual unamused expression on his face.
“Emma is a Sone!”
“...a what?” Rossi asked.
Spencer, feeling second-hand embarrassment over his girlfriend’s words, explained, “People who like Girls’ Generation,”
On the monitor, a musical album filled the screen, showing what Y/N was looking at. She held it, obviously observing it.
“Y/N,” Spencer said, lips uncomfortably close to the microphone, “Put that back. Please,”
“It’s an old album too,” she opened it up.
Rossi sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose, “This is what we can expect sending a kleptomaniac into the home of a very wealthy family…”
“Y/N,” Spencer repeated, “Put down the album. I will literally buy you that exact same album. Please focus,”
Y/N gasped, making the whole team jump in worry. “She’s got Jessica!” she held a small cardboard album inclusion with a pretty woman on it to the camera on her forehead. “Jessica!”
He couldn’t believe this was happening. His girlfriend who was supposed to aid the BAU in catching a serial killer was busy ogling over her idol Jessica in said serial killer’s home. He couldn’t tell if he was horrified, embarrassed, or both.
“We might have made a mistake,” Prentiss muttered as the team watched Y/N begin to shove objects into her bag.
“This is stealing,” Spencer stated the obvious, trying to stay calm, “Put it back, Y/N,” he pronounced each word slowly, as if sternly speaking to a small child.
“Fine,” she huffed.
Spencer glanced at the team, “We’re going to have to pat her down when she gets out of there,”
“Must be nice having a girlfriend you can’t even trust,” Rossi stated sarcastically.
“Not now, Rossi,” Spencer groaned. He spoke into the mic again, “Y/N, I’m begging, please get on task.”
“Yeah yeah yeah,” she grumbled quietly, leaving the room, “No fun,”
“A girl might die,” Rossi reminded her dryly.
“We’re going to get fired,” JJ added.
“It’s going to be fine,” Y/N huffed, going into another room. “Trust me,” she began to go up a grand staircase, “Imma be this rich, baby, trust,” she whispered, obviously to Spencer.
“Legally?” Rossi deadpanned.
“Let’s focus on the task,” sighed Hotch.
“Yeah, Rossi,” Y/n grumbled, “Let’s focus on the task,” she reached for a random decorative piece on the wall, her impulses taking over.
“Y/N,” Spencer said through gritted teeth, “Don’t,”
She paused, hands hovering over it, “Sorry, baby,”
He sighed in relief, realizing he’s getting somewhere with her. She was starting to actually listen to him and fight the urges.
“Good job, pretty boy,” Morgan said with a nod, “Keep her on task,”
Spencer nodded, biting his bottom lip, “I’m trying,” He knew this was going to be the most stressful case of his life.
It was a complete mess, a constant battle to keep her from stealing unnecessary junk throughout the abnormally large home. From diamond jewelery to magnets, this woman was struggling to not grab everything around her.
She finally made it to the library, and Spencer let out a soft sigh of relief. They were getting somewhere. However, so far, not a single piece of evidence was found. This was their last shot to prove their profile was correct.
Y/N closed the door behind her, scanning the area. She began going through the desk, humming to herself as she looked for anything of use. She then paused, eyes on a small container of paper clips.
“Focus,” Spencer already knew what she was thinking. “Y/N-”
She snatched up a handful and placed it in her bag.
“Y/N!” he groaned, “You do not need more paper clips.” That was the problem with kleptomania. She never needed the things she stole. It was a desire she couldn’t control (okay, sometimes it was for fun). There was absolutely no reason she needed a whole handful of paper clips. But her brain told her she did.
Y/N ignored him, grabbing another handful and looking around the room again, “The mechanic room should be… here.” she gestured in front of her, a large bookshelf, “Oh my God is there like a book that when you grab it, it’s actually a lever, and it reveals the secret door to the secret room?” she started grabbing at books on the shelves excitedly.
“We’re going to get fired,” JJ repeated.
Gripping another book, Y/N hooted in victory, the book not budging and making a clicking sound instead. She backed up, watching the shelf move, revealing a door. “Fuck yeah,” she took out the USB device and a screwdriver, getting to work on the passlock. Once it was open, she inserted the USB.
“My turn,” Garcia hummed, typing away on a monitor, “Okay, the code is 9-1-4-7-2.”
Y/N repeated Garcia’s words as she pressed the buttons, unlocking the door. “Moment of truth,” The large metal door began to open on its own, and Y/N entered the room, flashlight in hand. She began looking for a light switch, pausing when she saw a small bin. In curiosity, she went towards it.
“Look for evidence, not things to steal,” Spencer reminded her.
“No fun,” she opened the box, “Shit…” she held up an object to the camera, “...tapes.” She looked down at the tape again, reading it, “ ‘Fun with Hannah“
“Same handwriting as the unsub,” Morgan pointed out, “Same language use,”
To confirm, Y/N picked up another tape. Fun with Katherine.
“That’s what we need,” Hotch said, “These were before he decided to send them to families, so there’s a chance these aren’t edited and his face might be visible. Y/N, grab a few.”
“Jackpot,” she held up something else: a leatherbound journal with yellowing pages, “Journal,”
“Okay, you got evidence. Get out of there,” Spencer said quickly.
“We still need to find Isa-” Y/N’s eyes widened as she moved her flashlight, coming face-to-face with a girl bound to a chair, “Shit, fuck, shit, I’m like actually in the mega mansion of a serial killer,”
“I’m going to throw up,” Reid gasped, biting at his nails again.
“Untie her!” Hotch stated the obvious, trying to keep everyone from losing it, “Untie her and get out of there,”
“Right, right,” Y/N reached for the girl, when she suddenly went, “Oh, shit!”
Spencer’s eyes widened in terror as Y/N turned around, coming face-to-face with Richard Smith. Without a second thought, he shoved his gun into its holster and bolted out of the van, sprinting down the street.
“Go, go, go!” Hotch shouted, the rest of the team barreling after the boy genius.
Spencer was not a runner. He was a terrible athlete. Yet he ran like a track star, his heart beating practically out of his chest with each step on the concrete.
If anything happened to her, he wasn’t sure what he would do.
___________
“Hi there,” Y/N said casually, trying to calm her nerves in front of Richard Smith, the unsub, the killer of God knows how many young women, “Does your wife know about this little hobby of yours?”
From the profile given to her, Y/N knew he was narcissistic and full of himself. She had to keep him talking. “You shouldn’t be here,” he said simply.
“I know,” she replied, glancing at poor Isabella Carson, who looked terrified, tears streaming down her pale cheeks. “You know, you did a great job here. How did you manage to not get caught?”
Richard looked at her in confusion, a brow raised in suspicion, “Excuse me?”
“How’d you do it? How’d you get away with it?” she asked
The serial killer smirked, leaning against a wall in the secret room, “You broke in here to ask about my killing methods?”
Y/N nodded, biting her bottom lip in an innocent way, “They’re admirable, actually. I’m sorry I didn’t go to you directly, I didn’t want to disturb your sleep.”
A look of victory crossed the killer’s face, “No no, that’s fine. I just… didn’t think anyone was admiring my work.”
A very rich man who made his riches by exploiting others. He was a dominant force, and needed to feel it. And Y/N knew this.
“So how did you do it, Sir?” Y/N asked, “I want to learn from you,”
Richard’s smirk grew as she spoke, “Learn from me, huh? Alright… well, my family is here at the moment but… some other time, I can absolutely teach you my ways,” his eyes flickered towards her chest, then her eyes again.
“Well, I won’t bother you anymore,” Y/N said, inching towards the door, “I hope we can meet again-” Richard put his arm in the way of the door, and Y/N knew she was trapped. “Um, I’ll leave you be-”
“No,” a devlish look appeared on his face.
“Yes,” without a second thought, her hand flew out of her pocket, and she was tazing his balls.
He did not like that.
“Okay.” she began as he shouted and crumbled to the floor, “Now my super hot FBI boyfriend is going to come arrest your ugly ass in three… two… one-”
“Y/N?!”
“There he is,” she grinned, turning over her shoulder, “In here, baby!” she called after him.
Spencer came sprinting up to the library, “Y/N?! Y/N!” he threw his arms around her, “You’re okay,”
“Yeah,” she brought an arm around him, eyes on Richard Smith who was laid out on the floor, “I’m okay,”
_________
The rest of the BAU came in after, freeing Isabella Carson and arresting Richard Smith.
His family was not happy.
Once outside of the mansion, Spencer conduced a pat-down of his girlfriend, removing all of the stolen objects from her bag and body.
“Do you really have to steal everything you see?” he grumbled, finding some pens in her boot.
“I can’t help it, baby,”
“I know,” he sighed, standing up, “By the way,” he cupped her cheeks, “You’re not allowed to help on a case ever again,”
She laughed, pressing a kiss to his lips, “I don’t think crime solving is my thing anyway, darling,”
“Good, I was terrified,” he nuzzled into her neck, “This job is stressful enough, I don’t need to worry about you as well,” he paused, “I still have to worry about you anyway.”
“Am I really that much of a terror?”
“A bit,”
He then was called up by Hotch, so he gave her another kiss on the cheek before grabbing a box filled with the goodies she stole, walking off to him.
She waited till he was far enough away before, with a big smirk, she pulled out a card from under her sleeve.
The Jessica Jung photocard she found.
_________
A few weeks later, the BAU sat together, viewing a case.
“I don’t understand,” Rossi muttered in thought, “How can these two rob these banks so easily? No weapons, they kill their victims an hour after with their bare hands. How are they doing this?”
“If only we knew someone who has robbed a bank before,” said JJ.
“With no weapons either,” said Morgan.
“And didn’t get caught,” said Prentiss.
All eyes went to Spencer.
“I’ve never robbed a bank before-”
“Not you. Y/N,” Morgan deadpanned.
“Well, actually, she did get caught-”
“The first time,” Rossi corrected, “Garcia found some messaged between Y/N and a friend. She gave us printouts,”
Spencer sighed, rolling his eyes, “She’s always giving printouts,”
“So,” JJ grinned, “Is Y/N busy?”
And that's how Spencer found himself with an annoyed expression in the corner of the office, the rest of the team huddled around the case's special consult, Y/N.

Hello hi hi your writing is very nice so like.... scara x bratty reader smut where reader is really condescending and annoying but they get put in their place??? HBsjbejd 😵💫😵💫
✧・゚:* ->Scaramouche x Bratty! Fem! Reader
✧・゚:* ->¡Warnings!: NSFW, Overstimulation, (slight) Bondage, Degradation + Praise, Dirty talk, Kind of short ngl!
✧・゚:* ->Smut written by a minor!
You'd lost track of how many times you've came by now. It felt like hours since Scaramouche got fed up with your attitude and decided to take matters into his own hands. Now you've found yourself pinned to the bed on your stomach, knees planted into the mattress which caused your back to arch uncomfortably. Your hands were bound behind your back with a piece of rope that dug into your delicate skin, bound to leave marks afterwards. His hand was pressed against the side of your face, pushing your head down into the pillow covered with your drool and tears.
His pace was unforgiving, fast strokes which drove your fucked out face deeper into the fluff. The feeling of your walls fluttering around his cock made him groan as he leaned down, chest flush against your sweaty back to whisper into your ear,"You should hear yourself, moaning for my cock like a common whore...F-fuck—! Tightening around me so well... C-come on, just admit it. Hah...You can't resist me.."
Despite being on the verge of another orgasm, you couldn't help but choke out a snarky response through whines,"A-as if..! I— Mnghh!" Your sentence is cut off as a hand slams down on the back of your neck, forcing your head into the pillow even more. Your entire body tenses and you can't help but let out a cry as you gush around his cock, coating it with more of your essence that seeps through the already- stained sheets.
"God... Got you cumming and whimpering on my dick and yet you still have the nerve to fucking defy me..! Ngh—! Don't worry, b-by the end of this, I'll be sure to have all the attitude fucked out of you...!" He growled, hips meeting yours so brutally that your entire body rocks back and forth on the bed which was now creaking at an alarming volume.
Your consciousness was starting to waver now, the exhaustion catching up to you. It all felt so good, maybe even too good. All you could think about was the feeling of his length sliding in and out of you, the tip kissing your g-spot so precisely you wouldn't be surprised if you climaxed once more soon. Your mind felt hazy and unclear, you couldn't even form a coherent thought, let alone full sentences. Any word you attempted to speak came out as a mere murmur which faded to a moan.
"What was that? Did I finally dumb my bratty girl down to a fucked out mess? Think you can be an obedient slut now? Hah..! You probably can't even register my words..." He mocked, briefly laughing in a satisfied manner. Scaramouche was right, you really were too drunk on pleasure to form a single thought or word in that little head of yours. The sight of you lying there, taking everything he gave you was so arousing, it made him feel like he could keep fucking you all night.
And that's exactly what he planned to do. He continued to thrust into your abused pussy till he finally came with a grunt, filling it with his seed which met with your cum in an erotic mixture of fluids. Scaramouche slowed his pace a bit as he rode out his high, relishing the sweet moans from you as he fucked his cum into you. Before you knew it, his pace increased its speed again, making it clear that he wasn't going to be stopping anytime soon.
Your body was already so sensitive and sore at this point, you wanted to apologize for your insolence but now you could barely get a mere 'sorry' out. As if reading your thoughts, Scaramouche reached a hand down and grabbed a fistful of your hair, pulling it back harshly to lift your head out of the pillow. Tears streaked your face, flowing down from your puffy eyes over reddened cheeks before dripping onto the pillow below.
"It's too late to say sorry now, sweetheart. I'm going to ruin you tonight and you're going to enjoy it... Perhaps next time you'll think twice about disobeying me..."

Just imagining what it would be like for you and Eddie to both drunk and looking for each other. You don't realize you've been talking to one another the whole time.
Steve's party had been going on now practically all night. You and Eddie arrived hours ago, and now you can't seem to find each other. He went off with his friends, and so did you. You mingled and stayed close together when you first got there. But soon, you unintentionally drifted away the drunker you got.
Your face was tingling, and your head felt so heavy. Your whole body just wasn't corporating. Your limbs felt like they were in a constant battle to keep you standing or even walking straight. You kept calling out for Eddie.
You wanted to go home but knew he wasn't driving. Not in the condition he was probably in. He got drunk way before you did. You saw him throwing back shot after shot. Then chasing it down with his favorite beer, a pbr. The thought of the taste is already making you gag. He was a lightweight no matter how much he tried arguing against it.
You were stumbling and kept calling for your boyfriend. "Eddie!"
You even grabbed some random dude just because he had longish hair. He was definitely not your Eddie. You made a face of diagust and mumbled "ew" under your breath when the guy turned around.
The party kept getting louder the drunker you became. Everyone kinda started looking a like. Your vision was nothing but a blur. You even confused Nancy for Steve at one point. All because she had on his jacket.
The funny thing is that she never even bothered to correct you. If it wasn't for Robin speaking up to tell you, it was actually Nancy you were talking to. You would still be calling her Steve the rest of the time.
The killer hangover you're destined to have in the morning made you wish you never started drinking tonight. Too late. You knew you were screwed by the fifth shot of tequila. You and Eddie were going to be in misery.
You stumble again and flop down on the couch next to someone. A man who you really can't even focus on any distinctive features. He's just there slumped back with his legs spread open holding a candle that he assumed was his beer can.
You may be drunk off your ass but not drunk enough to mistake a candle for a can of beer. You look over, and he's nothing but a blurry figure to you. You blink and blink, trying to figure out who he is. Your drunkened mind comes up with nothing. He is another stranger to you. Little did you know that's actually your boyfriend. Who you have been on the hunt for all night long.
You heard him mumbling something in coherent over and over again.
"What you say?" You slurred.
He burped before repeating. "I said you have seen my girlfriend? She's cute. You can't miss her."
"Oh no havent seen her...m'lookin for my boyfriend actually. He's a nerd you can't miss'em" you giggled and sat up a little.
"Haven't seen any nerds around." Eddie quipped and went to take a drink from the candle.
He made a face when nothing went into his mouth. He still has yet to notice his actual beer is on the table.
"Been lookin' for her all night. I even cried at the beer keg." He sounded like he was about to cry again. "Guys out there forced me to come sit down to calm myself."
You put your hand on his shoulder to comfort him. He sounded so sad you couldn't help but feel bad for him. "She's around here somewhere."
"My boyfriend is missing too, startin' to think he's in a bush passed out." You rubbed your eyes and laid back against the couch.
Eddie snorts and goes in his pocket to grab his pack of cigarettes.
"All I know is when I find that little shit I can pass out in peace." He slurred and practically ripped open his pack of cigarettes to get one out.
"Yeah, me too-- When I find my boyfriend, I'm passing out too." You hiccuped, and your eyes slowly got heavier. The party started to die down a lot. People were falling asleep or walking home.
"When you'd get here?" Eddie turned to face you. "Been lookin' for you all night!"

This has probably been said before, but because Dumbledore said "Severus, please", as in was clearly asking Snape to kill him (as we all know by now), I think that means Snape didn't have the heart to kill Dumbledore at all.
Obviously we know that him saying those two words didn't mean "Spare me", they meant "Kill me", but I think the reason he said it wasn't to make Snape's betrayal seems legitimate (although it helped), but because he felt that Snape was gonna back out, that Snape was hesitating.
Maybe even his way of reassuring Snape that it's okay, I want this, so that Snape doesn't hate himself afterwards for killing the only one he had left, the only person in the whole world who saw him as someone more than Snivellus, more than an ex-Death Eater, someone who trusted him when no one else in the world did. And I do firmly believe that Dumbledore and Snape did ultimately love and care about each other.
Maybe Snape went to Dumbledore for help because he knew how powerful Dumbledore was... Or maybe because he was just a scared kid who needed his father to make it okay. Because honestly, that's what that seemed to me. Snape, who was silenced by Dumbledore for the sake of Remus, who had every reason to not trust Dumbledore at that point, still went to him. I wouldn't put it past Snape to have mentally seen Dumbledore as a father, even if that was an unrequited love because when has Snape not had an unrequited love he's not the Half-Blood Prince he's the Half-Love Prince but I digress. Snape begging Dumbledore for help seems very much like an estranged son running home for help.
And then the way Snape lashes out on Dumbledore too. Accusing Dumbledore of using him. Implying that Dumbledore didn't protect Lily properly. Even though it's obviously not Dumbledore's fault. It just seems like a child blaming their parent for something because there's no one else to blame, and that parent is safe, that parent won't get angry, that parent will still protect them.
When you look at that, it's very obvious why Dumbledore had to tell Snape to kill him even then. Because he knew Snape couldn't do it, and he knew that he was asking Snape to practically kill the only safe person he had in the world. And he had to make it okay, had to remind Snape this was what he wanted. Because guilt killed Snape once and it would kill him again.
This is probably barely coherent I'm just having some thoughts because these two make me mentally unwell

Ollie + 13 & 20 🐻
(whoever you are ily) 13: linking hands together during sex & 20: pressing the other’s hand against their cheek (warnings: smut, age gap {reader is older than Ollie}, Ollie's a virgin and it shows)
driver + number = drabble/short fic <3
This is so... Wrong. Has been since you first met, really. You feel borderline filthy for wanting it, for letting yourself feel something for him. And yet it feels so right, like it was meant to be. Because for all his inexperience and alleged lack of abilities with women girls, he always says and does just the right thing.
It all started so innocently. Meet, spend time with, and interview the young man making waves in formula one. The babyfaced kid that's scarily good at what he does. You thought it would be like all your other profiles on drivers.
And it was, but he wasn't.
You liked him. He was funny and nice, smart and humble. Unlike others he seemed excited to meet you, to open himself up to your questions. He wasn't shy about sharing insecurities and what he thought were his shortcomings. An hour with him and you understood why the girls on social media were vocal in their love for him.
You've wanted things before. You've wanted men before, to the point you'd almost embarrassed yourself all in pursuit of what you thought would be good sex.
But Oliver--
"Oh god," he whines.
Penetration is not supposed to feel this good. And yet your thighs are already shaking, you're clenching, your back is arching. You dig your nails into his shoulders, one of your last coherent thoughts being I probably shouldn't mark him.
He's breathing harshly, the hands on your hips trembling, and you watch his eyes close, his teeth sinking into his bottom lip.
You never thought you'd be jealous of teeth, but here you are. Wishing it was your teeth and then you remember it can be. "Ollie..."
His eyes open and he gulps. "S-sorry. Trying not to... Y'know."
You nod, thoughts of biting his lip going away for now as you reach down, taking one of his hands and holding onto it. "It's okay, baby."
He nods, dipping his head to kiss you. Your teeth sink into his bottom lip and he whimpers, dragging your hand up. Following his guidance, you cup your hand over his cheek, humming softly while he tries his very best to control himself. Knowing that even if he can't you'll still like him.

bigger than the whole sky [rtc what if…?]
'relinquish the crown' masterlist See my full list of works here!
BE WARNED SPOILERS FOR THE LOKI SEASON 2 FINALE AHEAD
Summary: What if…you'd broken Frigga's memory spell without Loki? | Your search for your husband leads you to a peculiar void beyond the Nine Realms, to a place that vaguely resembles the Tree of Life that you'd only read about in historical texts.
Pairing: Loki x Reader
Word Count: 3.3k
Warnings: angst with no happy ending in sight; this is in the RTC universe so…themes of incest if you squint; Loki S2 finale spoilers; slight violence in the beginning [let me know if i missed anything!]
Things to be aware of: gonna repeat it again…Loki S2 finale spoilers ahead; no prior reading of RTC is required to suffer enjoy reading this story
"I will ask you one final time, you sadistic hedonist," you panted, taking a moment to lean on Stormbreaker while the eccentric tyrannical leader of Sakaar laid bleeding on the ground. One hand clutched his abdomen where you'd struck him, the other gingerly held his broken nose.
This wasn't something that you enjoyed doing, putting others through pain. But knowing Loki's history with this Grandmaster long before you two had met was easing your worry somehow that you were doing something reprehensible. There were pains that your beloved, even after all the time you'd known each other prior to your betrothal and marriage, were not quite ready to share with you.
His time in Sakaar was among those pains.
That knowledge alone was enough to get you to stop catching your breath, marching over to the Grandmaster and pinning him to the ground with the end of your battle axe's handle.
"Where is Loki?"
"Lady, I already told you back in the viewing box, I haven't seen your u--Agh!" You pressed Stormbreaker's handle harder against a tender spot on his shoulder, his body visibly showing signs of surrender before he started tapping on the floor. "Alright I'm sorry, I'm sorry," he whined.
"Shall we try this again, then?" He did his best to nod his head, sighing heavily. "Where did you last see him?"
"I swear to you on my Champion's grave it's been millions of years for me here in Sakaar," he choked out, still audibly struggling to draw in his breath. "It was a time he didn't even know you yet. You probably hadn't even been born."
"So you truly bear no knowledge of my husband's whereabouts?"
"Your hus--I thought he was--"
"Mind your words, charlatan god." He let out another groan of pure agony as you pressed harder on his shoulder.
"I'm sorry I'm sorry! I--I really don't know where he is, Your Highness, I don't--"
"Then what use are you to me," you said darkly, another corner of your soul feeling ass if the lights had gone out. Another dead end.
You took a dagger out with your free hand, the Grandmaster's pleas of mercy sounding muffled as they fell on your dulled ears. Nothing he had to say could spare him now; to you, he was no longer a lead, a well lit path that could perhaps point you to where Loki had been all this time.
Now he was simply a shadow of your husband's past. Something so dark that he didn't even dare let you know about it.
Despair began to seep into your veins, a single question overtaking all other remotely coherent thought. Would you ever find him? Would you ever get to apologize? To tell him how you felt? How you'd always felt?
Before you could strike, a loud crack resounded throughout the Grandmaster's suite, coming from a glowing green portal that appeared in the center of the room.
"I would probably take that call, if I were you," the Grandmaster quipped, exhaling a large sigh of relief when you removed the weight of Stormbreaker off of him as you stepped toward the portal. Once the threshold had begun to close after you stepped through, he let out a final sentiment. "Please say hello to your husband for me when you find him."
That was more than enough for you to decide throwing your dagger into the small opening that remained, hitting the smug anachronistic bastard on his uninjured shoulder.
Then the portal finally closed, leaving you in a place you couldn't quite describe. All you knew was that it felt like a place you should never have been allowed access to. A place that should be beyond you. Beyond anyone.
Winding, glowing vines surrounded you, each of them looked and sounded as if they were teeming with a life of its own. If you listened carefully you could hear voices. Your voices. Infinite iterations of them. But one rang clearer than every other in the entire space.
"Did I do something that angered the Norns so fiercely that they condemned me to love a man I could never have?"
"I know what it feels like to kiss him. To touch him. To be desired by him. And it's ripping me apart to know that I will never know that again."
"The people will look at this union and see it for what it is. Sinful. Shameful!"
You tried to block the memories out of your mind, of you begging your grandmother Queen Frigga to lock your memories away. Of arguing with your grandfather Odin and with your father Thor because they were signing your life away to marry Loki. Of the harsh words you spat at them all behind closed doors.
Of the day the lock on your mind finally broke, after finding your journals prior to the spell being cast chronicling how you'd fallen for the god despite your better judgment. The head-splitting agony of your memories reconciling and finding their place back in your mind.
An agony suffered in your lonesome while Loki was away on assignment.
You scrambled desperately to think of anything else, to follow along the path of the vines and hear something other than your own mistakes being echoed back at you. These desperate attempts made you realize that the vines converged in a structure that eerily resembled an image that you'd only learned about in your youth.
"Yggdrasil?" you whispered in awe, your feet bringing you closer still until you found a parting just large enough for one to squeeze through.
Once you'd finally freed yourself from the winding vines, all air left your lungs at the sight that greeted you. A golden throne at the heart of the tree. All the vines anchored to the man -- or God, rather -- seated in it.
Loki.
"You've left quite a trail of bodies in your wake throughout this quest of yours, little Princess," he spoke, not moving even a fraction from where he sat.
He gave you a soft smile, tears beginning to form in his eyes as he stared at you. As if he couldn't believe you were here with him.
"It's been too long, my darling wife."
You'd rehearsed time and time again throughout your search for your husband what you would say to him once you'd been reunited. You would tell him how wrong you were for how you behaved throughout your betrothal, your marriage. And you would abandon every shred of your pride and beg for his forgiveness. You would tell him you loved him, that you'd always loved him.
And that you wanted to spend the rest of your life with him.
Yet somehow you could form none of those words. Instead you finally felt your body succumb to the tiredness brought about by the centuries you'd spent searching and laying waste to every imaginable corner of the Nine Realms and beyond for even the slightest shred of a clue as to where he could have been.
Instead you sunk to your knees, the tears streaming down your face as you stumbled over your words. "I remember everything. I had to find you. Tell you that I'm--"
"I know you are, my love. I watched you on the day the spell broke, the day you finally remembered. I wanted so desperately to come home to you. To not let you have to endure that pain alone."
"Why didn't you?" you blurted out, staring at all the vines he held in his hands. "What are all these?"
"Timelines," he answered you simply, giving you a minuscule shrug of his shoulders. "In every single one, there is an iteration of you and me. Some circumstances may differ, minor details. But at the heart of each of them, we live a life together. We find each other, fall in love. In some we even start a family."
"A family," you repeated breathlessly. The knowledge that each vine -- each timeline -- that was anchored to him held a variation of you and him, of your story, began to eat away at you, flooding you with guilt.
How wretched did you have to be that in your timeline you'd rejected him? Foolishly pushed him away with every mistake you made until finally it took you centuries to find him again?
"What happened?" you finally spoke after what felt like hours. "How did you get--"
"That is quite the long and harrowing tale, darling. In truth, it was a cavalcade of miscalculations and bad judgment calls, failed attempts of trying to save all these lives until I realized that the result would always stay the same if the equation contained the same variables."
"And what was that result?"
"Annihiliation," he answered you simply, giving you a misty eyed look. "Every single strand of time that I hold safe now would have been obliterated on sight. I know it. I've seen it. I've seen you disintegrate before me too many times than I wish to count. The device that once held them stable could no longer scale for an infinite number of possibilities, and letting countless timelines die in the name of the survival of a few was…unacceptable. The only thing that could carry a burden that great was--"
"A god," you finished, the words fighting you their entire way out, nearly choking you on the weight of them. The question that you wished to raise crippled you with its answer's implications. For you and your timeline specifically. "What happens if you let go?"
"It dies. Slowly. Drifts away until it eventually turns to ash." He began to make a motion, as if to approach you, until ultimately he decided against it. "This was the only way. It remains the only way. I must stay, and keep them safe. Watch our lives play out in derivatives of what ifs."
The selfish question that danced at the tip of your tongue plagued you with even more guilt. But what about my timeline? What about our life together? "There has to be another way," you grumbled, stubbornly shaking your head as if you were once again a toddler, refusing to accept the world for being what it was rather than what you wished it would be. "I could stay with you. I could stay and we can find a way together."
Your heart splintered watching him shake his head at you. "My beautiful headstrong wife," he breathed out, his tone filled with both fondness and heartbreak. "I can't in my good conscience let you abandon your life just so you could stay here with me. That would be too selfish, even for me. What would you have here?"
"You! I would have you. All these centuries I've spent in a desperate scramble to find you and tell you that I lo--" You found yourself completely choking on the words now, never having to articulate them before. "That I love you. That I've always loved you and I want us to start our lives together. I refuse to accept that after all this time I have to let you go. You can't make me."
"Asgard needs you, its future Queen."
"And I need you!" Your voice finally broke, sobs that you'd fought inside starting to bubble up. "It isn't fair that you hold all these different tellings of our story in your hands, but your story, yours and mine, ends in us apart. That you spend your days here, watching our life play out somewhere and somewhen else, and you're alone. Please don't send me away, husband," you began to beg. "Don't make me leave you. Let me stay."
He let out a sharp exhale, a tear escaping his eye, rolling down his cheek. "I've longed for the day I would hear you call me that," he sighed, a rueful smile gracing the handsome features that you were bereft of for centuries. "Truly I didn't think I would ever see you again, Y/N. My Y/N. I never thought that I would have you before me, and I hear those words you would only say in dreams with my own ears. Thank you, my dear heart. You have given me a gift in this quest of yours, in having a final moment with the woman I love…" More tears rolled down his cheeks when his smile widened before finishing his sentiment. "And the woman that loves me."
Your sobs filled the endless space, your body collapsing onto the ground as your grief overtook you. The notion of grieving for the living never seemed sensical to you until now. Now that the man, the god, you loved was calling this the last time you would ever see each other.
And you knew in your heart that with the power he wielded now, he could make that your reality without even lifting a finger. He could push you out of this void and back into any timeline of his choosing just as easily as he pulled you out of Sakaar.
The feel of familiar large hands pulling you up to your feet startled you, only having the briefest moment to look at your husband before he pulled you into a crushing embrace. You didn't think twice before wrapping your arms around him, holding him as close as you could and sobbing into his shoulder before realizing…
If his hands were on you, then why were the vines still in place?
"Loki," you sobbed. "Husband, please. No illusions."
"I can't hold you," he said, choking back his own sobs now. "I couldn't watch you break like this and do nothing." The duplicate he cast to hold you disappeared from your hold in a flash of green. "I've done it before against all my better judgment, I refuse to do it again."
"Then don't." Against your own better judgment, you stomped your foot, like a bratty child being told you had to go home. Which was almost precisely what this was. "If this is where you are and where you will remain, then this is where I wish to stay. With the god that owns my heart. With my husband." You blinked rapidly to expel the tears that blurred your vision before uttering the words that splintered at your heart even more. "I was made to be yours. You said that."
"And I yours," he finished, averting his gaze, letting his own tears drop to the fabric of his trousers. "In every timeline. We must take solace in knowing that among these infinite tales, one is ours. What could have been ours."
"What should be ours," you insisted. You made your way over to him, placing your hand on the side of his face. He closed his eyes, leaning into your touch, the sight breaking your heart further. "Our story deserves its bliss-laden epilogue, too."
"Not at the cost of everyone else's. Deep down you know this to be true."
"That does not mean I accept it," you grumbled. "Let me stay."
"You know that I can't. I will not subject you to live out the rest of your days here. Without friends nor family, and only a husband that cannot even hold you as company."
"But at least you would have someone to hold you," you argued, throwing your arms around him and letting your tears flow once more. "I can't just leave you here all on your own. You can't make me." You knew that he damn right could.
"My love," he sighed, turning his head to press a kiss to your temple. "I wish for you to live a long, and fulfilled life. You've lost so much time in your search for me only for it to end like this. I can give you those centuries back, as a final gift. Reverse the clock, undo the toll it took on you. Let this be the final token of my affection. My fealty. My undying vow."
"Let me keep my memories," you pleaded, already feeling that this would truly be your final moments with him. You did not need to turn your gaze to know that the portal leading back to Asgard was there, waiting for you. Perhaps he would simply nudge you through with his mind, knowing that you would refuse to leave. "Let me keep my remnants of you if that is all that I can leave this place with."
He nodded once. "Very well, little Princess. When you walk through the portal only the physical years will be stripped away. Live well, and remember always that I love you. My heart will only ever belong to you. Until the end of time."
"I love you," you choked out through your tears. "Husband." Your heart ached at the sight of his tears, not bothering to fight back the urge to kiss them away. "I will miss you desperately and always. In every step that I must take in this life without you."
"You will always have me by your side," he swore. "When you feel a presence you cannot see, in gentle breezes within a still room. I will always be there."
You continued to wipe his tears away, the god constantly kissing at your palms. Seemingly refusing to let you go, too.
"May I kiss you?" you asked, barely audibly, your voice unable to even completely form the words. "One last time?"
He gave you a small nod, and you leaned in to press your lips to his, trying to pour out your years of lost time and the future that you were doomed to lose in just a few short moments into that single kiss. You could feel that when he kissed you back, he did so with both all the love he'd never been able to give you before, and the love that he would never be able to bestow in the future.
It was a kiss of finality. A kiss of goodbye. A bittersweet final page in the story of you and Loki.
I love you more than words can ever say, his voice echoed in your mind. Goodbye, my love. My fated. My darling wife.
When you pulled away he was gone. And you'd been returned to your shared chambers back in Asgard. As he promised, the physical toll the centuries-long search had taken on your body were gone. No more scars from miscalculated skirmishes. No more bruises from Sakaar.
No more physical reminders of what you'd endured trying to reunite with the love your life.
All that remained were the memories of those years, and your time in his domain beyond the Realms.
"Goodbye, my darling husband. My love. My Loki," you whispered into the quiet of your marital chambers, sinking to your knees once more and letting out a shriek of pure agony, the sobs swiftly returning and wracking your entire body as you lay pathetically on the floor.
"Y/N??"
The sound of your mother Lady Sif's voice provided little comfort, but it felt like a familiar balm. "Mother," you said weakly, unmoving from your spot on the ground even as she rushed to you, cradling you in her lap.
"What's wrong, sweetheart?" She stroked your hair while your tears soaked her sleep dress. You felt her wave someone over, and moments later you felt your grandmother Queen Frigga's presence in the room with you.
"I lost. I lost and I know not what to do now," you managed to say through your tears.
"What did you lose, Daughter?"
You'd briefly considered explaining your journey, from breaking the spell, to your journey through the centuries, to Loki's domain beyond the reach of space and time. To relay what had become of your husband.
Ultimately the words were beyond you due to your grief.
"Everything," you answered her, holding on to her tight as if you were a child again. This would be the only semblance of comfort you would have. "I lost everything."
A/N: I had to after that finale had me processing and feeling the big sad all day, I promise I'm working on 2 other stories based on the finale that have kinda better endings.
Also I sobbed throughout writing this entire thing, just for the record.
Now here's the song to add to the vibe:

sleepy phone call Wally Darling x Reader
Warnings: fluff :))
although it is not necessary, I highly suggest reading my fics in their recommended order for the best experience! here is the link to all my silly lil wally fics in order. this is #6 :)
You find yourself unable to fall asleep, leading you to call Wally in the late hours of the night.
“Hello?”
Ah, jeez.
What had you been thinking?
You’d been staring up at your ceiling for who knows long. You’d been tossing and turning all night, unable to fall asleep, despite the exhaustion seeping through your body.
What made you think calling Wally would be a smart idea in your barely coherent state? Well, actually, it was probably just that. You incoherent state did.
“Hi,” you finally mustered out. You were already regretting your decisions. What if he’d been asleep? What if he had been peacefully reading a book in bed? Painting, for whatever reason?
“... Are you alright?” Wally’s voice returned, laced with concern. There was a bit of rustling. “It’s late,”
“I’m sorry,” you quickly apologized. You were debating hanging up there and then, but that would be even worse at this point, wouldn't it?
“I don’t mind in the slightest.”
Your heart swelled. He was always so sweet and considerate, wasn’t he? Always there when you needed him. You shouldn't have doubted that.
“... I couldn’t sleep,” you admitted, gnawing lightly on your bottom lip.
“Ha ha, I think I know how that feels,”
You facepalmed. You’re an idiot, aren’t you? No, he had not been asleep.
Nonetheless, a giggle slipped past your lips, amused by your own silly mistake.
“I suppose I shouldn’t be one to speak, huh? That was insensitive,” you chuckled, “I’m sorry,”
“I don’t mind,” he told you. “I’m quite used to it. What keeps you up though, neighbour?”
What was keeping you awake? Really, you had no clue. Was it the fact that you couldn’t get him off your mind, to the point where you subconsciously thought ‘hey, calling Wally in the ungodly hours in the early morning is a good idea’?
You shifted your seated position, fiddling with the phone's cord as you pursed your lips in thought. Finally, you decided on an answer.
“I’m not entirely sure,” you sighed. “I just… maybe my brain is being too loud, tonight.” You claimed. It wasn't a lie, yet it saved you from telling the full, embarrassing truth.
“Is there something on your mind you’d like to speak about?” You heard a bit of light shuffling.
“I…” you paused, trying to find the words you wanted to say. “I’m not sure, honestly,” you grumbled. “I think… I think I just wanted to hear your voice,” you confessed to him, blunt and honest.
The call went silent. Anxiety bubbled in your stomach. Did that sound odd?
“Wally?” You forced a chuckle, wiping your sweaty palms on your sheets. When did it get so warm in your house? “Sorry, that was probably a strange thing to say, wasn’t it?” You apologized, grimacing a little.
“Not at all,” his response came swiftly, pausing before he continued. “I’m honoured to hear you say that, neighbour,”
“Okay,” you breathed, relieved you hadn’t creeped him out. You knew Wally wasn’t very judgemental, but you still worried sometimes with the things that slipped past your lips.
Silence fell between the two of you, leaving you to desperately wrack your brain to figure out the right words to say.
What was the point of being so uptight? You already let that last comment slide. You were getting too tired to care, anymore.
“Would you mind…” you began, taking a second to figure if you really wanted to say this.
“Would you mind, just… talking?” You requested shyly.
“Hmm…” he hummed, “Would you like me to talk about anything in particular?”
“Anything,” you shook your head, despite the fact he wouldn't be able to see it.
“Anything…” Wally parroted, going quiet for a while. Your eyes fell shut, your body further into your mattress. Even with him on the phone now, you were feeling less restless than you had been beforehand. His company was comforting, even over a silly call.
“Can I… confess, something to you, neighbour?” Wally’s sweet voice returned to your ears.
“Of course you can, Wally. I’m always here for you if you need me,” you mumbled.
“... Do you promise?” His tone almost seemed to be one of slight insecurity, an unusual sound for him. Your eyes reopened, staring back up at your ceiling. This seemed like something that could be important to him, and you wanted to ensure he had your full attention.
“Cross my heart, always and forever…” the words fell off your tongue with ease, repeating a vow he told to you some weeks prior. A promise you were more than willing to keep in return.
“Well,” Wally began, “I have… a secret. One that I’ve been keeping from you, that’s about you. One that I've found to cause me some distress,”
About you? Now, that was a bit worrisome.
“I hope I haven’t done anything wrong to harm you,” you stressed. That was the last thing you wanted.
“No, no, you’ve done nothing wrong at all,”
“Thank goodness, I was terrified,” you breathed a chuckle, your worry levels lowering. The feeling was still there, as you remained unsure of what the cause of Wally’s distress truly was.
“Sorry, neighbour… I’m struggling to find the right words to say it to you,” he admitted, sounding slightly defeated.
“Take your time, Wally. There’s no rush. I’ll be ready when you are,” you tried to put his mind at ease.
You could hear him inhale deep and slow, holding it for a few moments, before letting it back out. He spoke gently.
“Your eyes,”
He paused for only a second, releasing a sigh.
“They rob the words off of my tongue.”
Your breath hitched in your throat, eyes widening in surprise.
“My heart,” he went on, “it sings with euphoria every second you are near,”
There was no way this was happening.
“Ha ha… we may as well call it yours, with how full of you it is,”
Said heart pounded in your chest so loud, you could hear it in your head.
“It’s no secret how I enjoy indulging in art quite frequently,” He continued.
“And yet, you manage to be the most extravagant masterpiece I’ve come across,” His voice was at a new level of gentleness than you’ve ever heard before. It was filled with nothing but open honesty, although you felt like there was something else laced in with it.
“You’re unfathomably endearing, and I crave more of you every time we part. That night we spent time together under the stars?” He ended with a questioning lilt, causing you to reflect back on that evening.
“There were so many things I wanted to say to you then. I wanted to tell you that if you asked me to, I’d figure out a way to give you the moon. That, despite the sky full of them, you shine brighter than any star up there in my eyes,”
You didn’t know what to say. Truth be told, you were simply just… speechless.
“And after all this time, I’m still dancing around the point that I’m trying to get across, ha ha,”
“The truth is, my darling…”
Your mind is playing tricks on you, if you heard what you were expecting next.
“... I’m in lo–”
You slammed the phone down on its base.
This was not happening.
Were you dreaming?
Have you been asleep this whole time, stuck in an extremely realistic dream?
The pain in your arm when you pinched it tightly answered that question for you…
You stared into the darkness of your house, wide eyed.
Was he really about to say what you thought he was?
“Of course he was!” You answered that question aloud, slapping your hands to your face.
And you just hung up on him!
You froze.
You hung up on him.
…
You scrambled out of bed.
You tripped over your twisted blankets in the process.
Go, go, go! Your mind screamed at you.
You didn’t care to put on any shoes. It was the least of your concerns right now. You yanked your front door open, darting out of it, and making a mad dash to Home.
Your feet padded against the ground below them, your legs moving faster than you thought they even could. Your adrenaline was spiking through the roof!
What if it was too late now? What if you ruined your chances, forever?
Your brain nagged at you. What if this? What if that?
When you came into Home’s view, it didn't even see you as you approached, attention focussed elsewhere. Once it did take notice of you, its door swung open for you, swaying slightly as if to usher you in. That's exactly what you did.
Your eyes, blurred with stressed tears, scanned the room around you. Drifting to the table where Wally's phone typically sat, you found it to be missing. You followed the line that connected to the wall, ending at the landline, sat right next to the man you were looking for.
His head lifted from his knees, attention captured by the sound of your hurried breaths as your body tried to compose itself.
His widened in shock eyes met yours, teardrops rolling down his cheeks as they did on yours. No matter, a smile still remained on his features, despite being the most pathetic you’ve ever seen. You stared at each other for a moment, until you swallowed down the lump in your throat.
“Say it to my face,” you panted out.
You walked closer, kneeling before him, your hands cupping his cheeks. His own came up, wrapping gently around your wrists.
“Please,” you begged softly, voice cracking with desperation, choked up. “Please, Wally, say it to my face,”
His gaze softened, never breaking from yours. He opened his mouth, hesitating.
“I’m in love with you,” he whispered.
And that’s all you needed to hear.
You closed the gap between you, kissing him, his grip on your wrists tightening.
“Again?” You murmured softly as you pulled away, looking into his awestruck eyes. He took a moment to process what had happened, before he responded.
“... I’m in love with you,”
Your lips pressed to his in another gentle kiss, Wally having the mind to return it, more prepared this time. When you pulled away, the corners of his smile quirked upwards.
“Ha ha, again?” He was the one to request this time, leaning his forehead against yours. “I'm in love with you,” he repeated, hopeful of receiving another kiss. You gave a choked giggle, giving him what he desired. You pecked his lips, his cheeks, and then his forehead.
“I’m in love with you too, Darling.”
imagine getting deceived twice in a row AHAHAAH, I had to make you think it would be more angst so you wouldn't expect this ending like so many of you did, bwahahah! yes, you get a happy ending! yippe! however, this still isn't the end, and there is more to come!

Yandere-ish!Clark Kent/Superman x Coworker!Reader
This was messily written. I wrote as it came to me.
Warnings: Forced Amnesia, Pregnancy, Unintentional Cheating, Kidnapping, Yandere Behavior, Forced Relationships.
Summary: You were reborn in the DC world and started working at the Daily Planet. You didn't plan to start a relationship with the Superman, it just happened. Though you probably will regret it.
You were just a below average person, nobody really, in your first life. When you suddenly passed, you didn't know what to expect. But, you certainly didn't expect to be reborn.
Growing up in a suburb with loving parents was absolutely pleasant. They encouraged you to do your best and try everything at least once. It sets your new life on a positive path with a lifelong career.
Everything seemed normal, it looked almost like you were given a second chance at life. Until you noticed familiar names. At first you brushed them off as coincident, until you read what happened in a small town named Smallville.
Your dream was to be an editorial writer, nothing too flashy but, it was a passion you never pursued. Though with how things were going, it might be. After all, you grew up in Metropolis.
Years later you started to work at the Daily Planet. Lois Lane was a headache and a half. She was an amazing journalist, she submitted stories before the deadline, her articles bring the most profit, but for some reason she would drop the newbies on you when she smelled a story.
It wasn't too bad, you got the newbies settled in and made new friends. Perry White, your boss, gives you all the credit when things run smoothly and lessens your workload when he sees it happen. When Clark Kent shows up, Perry warns Lois to not drop him on you. You counted yourself lucky when Clark followed Lois around, even when she tried leaving him.
Jimmy Olsen, the last newbie officially assigned to you, would invite you and the others to coffee. It was a regular thing that a few of you joined in. At some point Clark was roped in. You still kept your distance as much as you could. But, his boy scout attitude caught up and he managed to wedge himself into your life.
One morning at work, Lois decided to dump her workload on you because she had to be the first to catch a scoop. Clark was nice enough to help, until he tilted his head and excused himself. Lois came back with a headliner and Clark scowled her for dumping her work on someone else. Perry gave her an earful.
Strangely Lois kept dumping her work on others, in favor of looking for a bigger story. She usually did come back with one, so Perry would only reprimand her on work ethics. Then Clark started to bring in more coherent stories that were on par with Lois’. Least to say she started to get jealous.
After a year with Clark working at the organization, you, and Jimmy, became closer to Clark. You could tell that Jimmy knew about Clark being Superman. Though you feigned ignorance for your own protection. But, life had other plans.
Someone, probably a villain, sent Clark a box of kryptonite at the building. You shoved the box into an old filing cabinet made of lead before it could affect him. No one knew about Superman's weakness yet.
After work, Jimmy took the kryptonite and Clark asked to speak with you. You told him how you were reborn and knew things from your past life. You never told what exactly you knew, but assured him you wouldn't do anything to hurt someone with your information. Clark accepts what you told him, most likely from listening to your heartbeat.
From there you somehow get roped into small adventures with Clark and Jimmy. It didn't affect your work, but you wished life would go back to normal. The three of you got closer and you ended up meeting the Kent family. Martha and John were lovely people to be around. Even though they kept assuming you were either with Clark, or Jimmy, romantically. It seemed like they were proven right a year later.
You don't know how it happened, but you and Clark started to develop a deeper connection. Jimmy would whine about being the third wheel whenever he could. When things started to get serious, something unbelievable happened.
Someone with the ability to change the present, made it so that Superman, Clark, would forget you and start a relationship with Lois Lane. To balance the world and make everything right. What they failed to do was to wipe everyone else's memory of you.
Jimmy, the only person that knew about your relationship, was absolutely mad that Clark started to ignore you. Then became downright furious when he suddenly went after Lois. You had to calm him down and explain everything. He wasn't happy, but understood there was nothing he could do. When you found out you were pregnant, Jimmy did something without telling you.
Your pregnancy was hard, not only because of the pain and mood swings but from carrying a super fetus. Jimmy was with you every step of the way, Clark awkwardly assumed Jimmy was the father. It hurt knowing Clark was there, not having a single memory of you two together. Then Martha and John came to your baby shower. It turned out Jimmy told them what happened and they wanted to help.
Raising your son was difficult, but with the help of Jimmy, the Kents, and your parents the load was lessened. By the time your son turned five, Batman entered the picture.
You were shaken to your core. The Batman was standing in your kitchen after you settled your boy to bed. You told him everything, or at least everything that involved you, Superman, and your son. He left after telling you he would be in touch.
When it was closing in on your son's seventh birthday, Clark visited you. He looked haggard and devastated. When you both sat down, he told you how he regained his memory and how sorry he was that he wasn't there for you. You assured him it wasn't his fault and asked if he wanted to be a part of your son's life. He introduced himself as your coworker, not ready to tell the boy the truth.
His relationship with Lois ended. It caused a hostile environment at work. She would try to dump her work on you, but Clark would either finish it or hand it back. Perry would reel her in and ground her with desk work. After a while it seemed to calm down until the most devastating news came.
Lex Luthor kidnapped your son.
Lois let slip that Superman had a son and heavily implied that you were the mother. Your son didn't have any abilities except slight strength. He was just an ordinary boy. Superman was furious and went after Luthor without mercy.
On screen, for the world to see, was Luthor standing over Superman with kryptonite in his hand. Your son was crying and begging for Superman to get up. Luthor was trying to “prove” kryptonians were dangerous by showing the destruction caused.
Luthor walked up to your son, who was shaking, with the kryptonite. Your breath was stuck in your chest. Then your son swung his fist at Luthor. He helplessly kept punching the man's legs. Luthor laughed and held the meteorite close to your son's face. Without hesitating, your son grabbed the thing and threw it as far away as he could. Luthor was shocked. So were you.
Superman regained some of his strength and punched the man unconscious. He clarified that your son wasn't Superman's son and that Luthor was a madman. You were happy for your son's safe return and that Luthor was thrown in prison.
Clark didn't let you, or your son, out of his sight. He brought you both to the Fortress of Solitude and checked your son's genetic makeup. He did not have the same genetic condition that causes kryptonians to react to kryptonite. It would still have a mild effect, but essentially he was immune. He also didn't seem likely to be able to fully obtain kryptonian abilities. His slight strength was a marker on what to expect in the future.
When you asked to be sent home, Superman refused. It was much safer for you both to be here. Where he wouldn't lose either of you and never be able to forget.

If someone ever asked Roy what Jason reminded him of, he would've said a cat.
A big, black, fluffy cat that would pretend to not even notice you for half a day, but would then proceed to flop right on top of you when you least expected it and leave you coated in fur.
A very cute, big, black, fluffy cat, of course, if Roy was being precise.
Yeah, that was his boyfriend.
His boyfriend, who was currently curled up on the bed like he truly was the cat he so reminded Roy about, his face pressed against Roy's thigh. Combined with the dimness of the room, it was almost enough to hide the fact that there was a large, nasty bruise covering half of Jason's face at the moment.
Almost.
"How did you even manage to get this?" Roy asked. It was mostly a rhetorical question at that point, just whispered out loud, because it was in the middle of the night and Jason was definitely ninety percent asleep already and was not going to give Roy a coherent answer. That was what one got after finishing up a two-days long mission and then deciding to instantly drive to the other side of the country, instead of staying put and resting after said two-days mission.
To be fair, if Roy was being completely honest, he did like Jason being home sooner than later. It wasn't a particularly big secret that Roy didn't hold much love for Gotham, after all, even if Jason still called the city home as much as he called their house home. He just...felt better when Jason was with him, especially after more grueling missions, and he was pretty sure that Jason knew it, even if they had never outright discussed it out loud.
Jason made a noise under his breath that quite honestly sounded like a kitten whining, and Roy had to bite his lip a little to not laugh at it. It would've been an affectionate laugh, of course, but better not risk it.
"Yeah, yeah." Roy ran his fingers through Jason's hair. "Mister always wearing a helmet. I'm gonna fix it up for you."
Jason made another noise, a softer one this time, and he settled further into the mattress as Roy continued to stroke his hair. Roy waited for a moment, then two, and when he was positive that Jason had fallen asleep, he slowly got up and made his way to the garage.
Despite being probably already bone-tired by arrival, Jason had still meticulously gone through their agreed homecoming routine. Lian knew about their identities, of course, and she was a smart girl, but all of the gear still belonged outside the main house. It had been Jason making most of the rules when it came to his own gear. He hated the thought of others touching it without his permission, and he especially hated even the idea of Lian touching it and somehow getting hurt. Sometimes it was like Jason was convinced that even looking towards any part of his gear would hurt Lian, which was something Roy felt like needed a licenced therapist to fully unpack. He did appreciate the care Jason displayed towards Lian, though, so he wasn't going to complain about it to Jason's face.
Thinking about Lian and Jason's face made Roy grimace. Jason didn't like letting Lian see him hurt, no matter how big or small. A bruise that was covering half of Jason's face was going to be hard to hide, though Roy knew that Jason would somehow be able to manage it. Painfully and by gritting his teeth, but he would.
Roy knew what it was all about. He wasn't stupid.
Roy flicked the lights on in the garage, before making his way to the cabinet Jason had claimed for himself. By this point, Roy had an open invitation to Jason's armor and weapons, as he was the only other person who knew how everything worked precisely. Roy was also pretty sure that Jason knew that Roy liked fixing things up for him, and he let him do it because it was an easier way to accept a display of affection than having to listen someone promise him everything, once again, while holding all the power to take their words back without a warning.
Roy went through the plan of action in his head while he unlocked the cabinet. He would need to fire up the workbench and get the electrical tools out in order to get the helmet fixed. Maybe he could draw up some plans how to make the front more durable while keeping it absorbant enough that it would still be the helmet taking the brunt of the hits and not Jason's head underneath it. It would take some time to figure out, but Jason would probably let him make him a new one if Roy just managed it. It would mean that the times of Jason having hard to hide-injuries would be lessened, after all.
Maybe he could manage to adjust the color, too, just to make it a little less vibrant. Roy was starting to seriously think that the helmet was beginning to act like the red capes in bullfighting, inviting more and more hits directly towards it simply because it was there. He wouldn't have been surprised if it really was so. Gotham was messed up, and the rogues playing a game of "who manages to break in the Red Hood's helmet and face first" sounded entirely plausible. This wasn't the first time Jason had come back sporting similar injuries, though usually they were either a little smaller, or Jason had had to stay in Gotham for longer and they were already fading by the time he got back.
Jason would most likely say no, though. The red was part of his brand at this point, it was meant to make an impression to anyone seeing it. Just Roy's luck that he had fallen for the theather kid who had not yet left the phase behind.
Not that Roy was ever going to say that to Jason. He was fully aware of the fact that he was the one running around with a bow, after all.
What a pair they made.
Roy smiled. What a pair, indeed, he thought, as he pulled the cabinet door open and proceeded to have Jason's helmet stare right at him from the upper shelf.
The helmet, which was very much not broken.
Roy stared at it for a good while. It was definitely the same helmet Jason had left with to Gotham. There was a small scratch on the paint, just unde the left lense, that Jason had meant to paint over but had not had the time yet. Roy had watched him pack it up with his own two eyes.
If Roy was anyone else, he would've been able to convince himself that there was probably a perfectly simple and harmless explanation. But Roy wasn't anyone else. Roy was who he was, and that was someone who had been fighting increasingly dangerous fights since he was a teenager, and who had seen harm being inflected over and over again and the marks it would leave behind.
Roy stared at the helmet. The helmet seemed to stare back at him, silently daring him to say it out loud.
Roy didn't say it. He closed the door and locked it back up, while something cold settled firmly at the bottom of his stomach.
He stood there for just a little longer, gathering himself, before he silently made his way out of the garage the exact same path he had walked in mere moments ago.
Lian was still asleep when Roy checked on her, and so was Jason when he slipped back into the bedroom. He stirred a bit when Roy laid down as well, not enough to wake up, but enough to turn towards Roy. Roy could see the bruise now in all of its glory, stretching across Jason's skin like a shadow.
Jason's hand was laying between them on the bed, and Roy laced their fingers together, gently and carefully.
Jason's hand was warm. It was enough to chase away some of the cold inside Roy, and he held onto it tightly.

pt.2 is out!
"Could you rail me?"
That's not something Megumi expects to hear at 10 p.m. Especially coming from you.
You're drenched - that's the first thing he notices. It's been raining the whole day, pouring even, making early autumn weather even gloomier than it usually is. You don't have an umbrella and the light jacket you put on yourself earlier in the morning looks completely out of place - it doesn't even have a hood to hide under. Or maybe it's not the jacket that feels off? Maybe that's just you.
You, the one who is always prepared. You, the one who is always put together. You, the one who, as far as he's concerned, should be in the cinema on a date with your boyfriend right now. A dickhead boyfriend, Megumi makes a mental note. He couldn't bring himself to like the guy, but as long as that idiot treated you right, he wasn't really in a place to say anything. But apparently, something has changed.
"Could you rail me?"
Yeah, something has definitely changed.
Megumi doesn't really say anything as you get inside - your every movement is showing how furious you are, and it’s not like Fushiguro's not used to people with bad temper, it's just you're not one of them. He's never seen you like this before and, combining the situation with that question you’ve asked him twice, he's taken by surprise. That gets him thinking. Something must have happened, and judging by your face...
Then he notices. The smudged mascara, the barely visible traces on you cheeks, and your red, puffy, eyes.
You cried.
Megumi has seen you in various mental states, but never furious - and most importantly, never crying, so he couldn't possibly have any idea how seeing you like that would make him feel. He knows now.
He'll kill him.
"Come on, you need to take a hot shower, or you'll get sick", he finally says, his voice sounding surprisingly normal and calm. He's relieved - all these years of hiding his emotions and not letting them surface have at least some perks. Looking at your state, you need something - someone - to calm you down, and Megumi won’t let himself lose control just over his imagination and groundless jealousy. You need to tell him what happened first.
So when you’re finally out of the shower, your hair still damp, drowning in his cotton, black T-shirt, Megumi is waiting in the kitchen - and he needs you to speak.
„He cheated on me.” It falls from your lips, light as a feather, and these words do something to him. Something that could have very bad consequences. „We broke up. But it doesn’t even hurt. I… I am so fucking stupid.” You’re not crying anymore - there’s a fire in your eyes that Megumi has never seen before.
„He’s the one that’s stupid.” That is probably the nicest adjective out of many others he has on his mind right now. He observes you carefully as you adjust yourself on a high hocker next to him.
„No, I am. I…” You sigh, hiding your face in your hands. „I didn’t cry because he broke my heart. That’s the problem. He didn’t.” That’s a relief, but Megumi’s still not convinced. His brows furrow, as he’s trying to understand what exactly has happened. „I was crying because I don’t fucking understand myself.” Your gaze suddenly jumps on him and the intensity of it makes him gulp. „That’s why I want you to rail me.” Before he can form a coherent answer to that, you speak up again. „I think I have feelings for you. Romantic feelings. And that makes me a cheater, because I went into a relationship knowing that. Or at least suspecting that.”
So many things Megumi didn’t expect to hear tonight.
He just stares at you, not sure, whether his heart is racing or it’s completely stopped beating. You’re blushing, but at the same time doesn’t look embarrassed. Despite that cute pink tone on your cheeks, you seem determined, and he’s not sure what he should do about it.
„Or you can say you won’t”, you suddenly speak up again. The eye contact is so intensive, to the point it physically hurts. „You can say that and I’ll see if it breaks my heart. It’ll be easie-”
„I won’t rail you.” It jumps out of him faster than he’s able to process it, and his heart drops as your face turns pale.
„Okay. It hurts. So this is a crush after all.” You stand up suddenly and rush somewhere - his apartament isn’t big, but the embarrassment hits you like a truck and you just need to hide. Or die.
„How the fuck do you expect me to rail you?” Nervousness in Megumi’s voice makes you turn around. He’s got up from his seat as well, his worried expression long forgotten - now he just looks angry. „I’ve had sex like three times before. Fuck”, he sighs, pinching his nose bridge. As if that ever helped somebody to focus. He doesn’t have any other options though. „Jesus, (Y/N). You can’t just say these things like that. Why can’t you just like… say that you have a crush on me? At least I’d know how to answer”, Megumi murmurs and now you’re confused.
He cannot comprehend the fact that you haven’t noticed. Everyone noticed. Itadori, Nobara, Gojo - everyone. Even he himself noticed. The gradual changes in your friendship, the staring, the smiles that cost him way more than anyone else, and yet he would give you them for free. The jealousy that came few months ago - with you being asked out, taken on dates, kissed. The irritation. And eventually, the nights where he would be so hard and frustrated, and the only cure seemed to be a memory of you. Of your skin. Of your touch. He was sure when your name left his lips that one particular night - he let his imagination run freely, and it sprinted to the point where he imagined it was your hand going up and down on his dick. He panicked a bit, that night. Your friendship was more valuable than anything else. He couldn’t risk it.
So he endured.
And now this?
That’s not fair. You play dirty. You asked that fucking question three times and now he’s sexually frustrated and stressed beyond what’s humanly possible. He tried so hard, gritted his teeth, tossed and turned - and you just destroyed everything.
So when Megumi comes up to you to catch your face in his hands, you can feel his anger. And a million other things that convince you, that yes, Megumi Fushiguro could rail you without any doubt. He kisses you - and the kiss tastes like longing, like desperation, like something more, than just „liking”. Like…
„He was first”, he murmurs, as he pulls away, just millimetres, but enough to be able to say what he needs to say. His long, slender fingers rest on both sides of your face, the right thumb delicately brushing you cheek. A feeling completely different from that sudden kiss.
„What?” You feel a bit hazy and so does he.
„And you were always so happy… I just couldn’t…”, he mutters, running with his gaze when the embarrassment hits him. He curses himself for wearing that black sweater tonight, it’s so hot he cannot stand it - especially when your hands land on his covered chest.
„I was happy because I was with you, you dumbass!” You moan, and even though it’s not sexual at all, Megumi can’t help but groan. You are intoxicating. „I thought you didn’t like me… So I tried to…” You’re interrupted as he pulls you for another kiss, even more needy than the first one. And you suddenly forget what you wanted to say.
Megumi still remembers, but he needs you. If that’s a dream, then he just hopes he’s not going to wake up. Luckily for him, the way his body reacts is more biological than ever and that gives him some hope.
„You tried to…?”
„I tried to fall in love with someone else.”
„You’re stupid then.” His lips travel down your neck as he’s leaving slow, sensual kisses all over it. You grip tightens on his forearm, nails diving between the sweater’s weaves just to find his skin underneath. You had no idea Megumi could kiss like that, and when his fingers slide down your collarbone, you find out that you had no idea that he could touch you like that either. „If you talked to me, we’d save a lot of time.”
„You could have said something too”, you whisper, and the combination of stress, anxiety and bliss makes your legs go weak. Luckily, Megumi’s here, and his arm keeps you in place. „You never say anything. And I…” A little whine interrupted you as his teeth grazed over your paper thin skin. „I don’t know how you feel.”
„You really can’t see it?”
„I need you to say it. I can say it. I’m in love with you, Megumi”. Is it really your voice, or are the angels singing? He could swear he got the chills. „Please.”
Years of hiding. Years of not saying anything. Years of keeping his feelings hidden. All that, just for him to make a confession.
„I’m in love with you, (Y/N).” It’s shaky, it’s soft and it’s quiet, falling into your skin and melting into your soul - something you needed so desperately. And that’s enough.
You need to see him, so you cup his face into your hands, and the picture leaves you in awe - his soft cheeks are flushed, blue eyes shining with desire. It’s so unlike him, and the fact that you’ve actually managed to pull these words out of him shows how desperate he is.
„You can let go” you whisper, before pulling him for another kiss. „Don’t overthink it. Just… let go.”
Who knows - he might rail you after all.
