Odysseus hates Agamemnon.

Of course he never lets it show. He doesn't know how long the war will last, but it will be long, and he can't afford to be on bad terms with any of the other kings (especially Agamemnon the lord of men). So Odysseus smiles at him, advises him, drinks with him like a friend... But the simple thought of killing your own child so for the sake of going to war is enough to make him sick in disgust. Behind his fake smiles he is overwhelmed by the hatred he feels whenever he faces that man.

I didn't come up with a design before starting my super rough storyboards (too excited to start lol), so he slowly took shape as I drew him over and over in itty bitty thumbnail sketches, and I'm just going with one I incidentally drew that I ended up really liking :P

I haven't yet done a finished frame facing him straight on, but here's the little thumbnail one I liked and a few shots of him that I've done so far!

Look I avoid teasers and early releases of the songs like the plague. I go into each album as blind as I possibly can be. Even then I heard stuff about God Games and was obviously really looking forward to it (and who would with a name like that) BUT I HAD NO WARNING FOR LOVE IN PARADISE WHICH SOMEHOW BROUGHT ME THE CLOSEST TO CRYING I HAVE BEEN YET. FOR A SECOND I THOUGHT HE WAS HOME AND THEN CALYPSO SHOWED UP AND DAMN.

That song any of actally ruined me. Nothing will live up to the pure undiluted despair I eagerly sunk my entire body into listening to that. Some how it was the sadest song in the entire musical. I'm gonna be obsessing over this one for a while.

ive always loved greek myths, and i remember the cyclops era specifically when i read it back in high school— but epic's been my refresher to it all! and the lore around it is what i'm most familiar with atm!
