When Jason had left his father's kingdom for another's, he wasn't expecting to be noticed. In fact, that was the point. Gotham thought him dead, it was better that way. Let them mourn him.

Realms of Infinite was a large place Jason could hide in. Where no one would notice him. Unfortunately, just because he stopped being a prince didn't mean he stopped impulsively helping people.

But hey, what was he supposed to do? Let this random man be stabbed in the middle of the square? He didn't know he was the king! He also wasn't expecting to be knighted for his deed.

As long as he can avoid gaining too much attention he'd be fine. Falling in love with the king is not a good way to further avoid attention.
