episode 1 timeless children style matrix flashback overview of gallifreyan history (but it's about the founders not the doctor. platt style. sorry)

episode 2 companion gets to see what the planet is all about. characters like romana and borusa are there. romana is president. some gallifrey audio lore is incorporated. it's fun

episode 3 the main threat is revealed to be something related to gallifreyan history and/or technology. the eye of harmony and the matrix play a big part. maybe it's rassilon AND omega returning this time. maybe even the o-

episode 4 companion gets in trouble and faces discrimination for being an alien. the most star trek this season gets but more purely fucked up and less moralizing bc it's not star trek

episode 5 a plot-driven tour of the capitol. chasing or hiding from someone, you know. i want to see the academy, low town, and regular living quarters

episode 6 another lore dump, this time we visit a House or the drylands or something. maybe it's an alternate timeline twilight zone thing where the companion wakes up as a time lord on gallifrey. maybe leela is there

episode 7 the cia gets involved with the main plot and they try to involve the doctor. yeah the doctor is actually in this season. i forgot

episode 8 welcome back mr. the other and welcome back hand of omega? things are starting to spin out of control

episode 9 chancellery guard lower decks or some other kind of breather

episode 10 major nod to the political games of gallifrey audios. romana and the doctor turn on each other. things get dangerous and weird especially for the companion. the time lords are starting to look quite alien and scary

episode 11 the eye of harmony is involved with the main plot so we get weird about that too. hand of omega is a main character

episode 12 and of course, while we're at it, we get VERY weird about the matrix. main plot is resolved everyone is (kind of?) friends again. the doctor and companion are leaving now but we're definitely coming back regularly in the next few seasons......

Steve invites Eddie over for a home cooked Italian meal, tells him he’s got authentic recipes and everything and it’ll be the best Italian he’s ever had, so Eddie rocks up to the Harrington home and Steve answers the door, not a hair out of place, not even a smudge of flour or sauce on him but Eddie assumes Steve has managed to multitask and is lead to the dining room where Steve sits down with him, Eddie is confused because why is Steve sitting with him and not veering into the kitchen and actually Eddie is happy to help with any finishing touches it’s fine but then a Robin Buckley comes flouncing into the room, scowling at them both and smacking down a bowl of pasta in front of each of them, ‘you ever ask me to cook so you can woo someone ever again, you’re dead’ is all she says to Steve before she stomps back out, tripping over a chair leg as she goes, ‘I won’t need to woo anyone after Eddie cause he’s never leaving’ Steve yells back as Robin heads for the front door before turning back to Eddie like he didn’t just casually drop that he wants Eddie for life, he’s right though because Eddie is never leaving, he needs to observe this funky little duo for the rest of his and their lives

Minutes stolen here and there, during your most lonesome nights and your most tedious classes... a-and I wove them together into something truly special. Somewhere and somewhen you can go if you ever need to... escape, for a short while.

O-oh, but you don't have to worry about everyone up above! While you're here, no time will pass outside! It... it'll be like you never left... s-so there's no need to worry about being told off by your mom, haha! And you... can do whatever you want here. #ooo all around an interesting topic#especially when you consider just how many sapient species there are out there and so just how many factors can come into play#like anon threw out specific ideas but the whole galaxy is a mess of potential combinations and resulting relationship and social dynamics#i've done minor poking at this sort of thing before but not a lot and it'd been a good while#but it is just a major thing with so many nooks and crannies and twists and turns depending on who all is involved#between both how the near infinite number of potential pairings are viewed socially how they do or don't work on a biological scale#and importantly just the cultural differences at play so far as courting#i've said before for how popular will-they-won't-they is#the fact different species would likely have wildly different methods of showing interest or even that they're an option doesn't come up mu#just a lot there to work with that doesn't much ~ via @kariachi

I saw this and wanted to reply so bad but I didn't have access to a computer to share these tags properly until now!

There are so many different sapient beings (enough to fill up millions of DNA samples in the Omnitrix and STILL have more left to record) and none of them are human, there can be so many different social expectations and perceptions on the basis of species alone that it quickly becomes a frenzy when you narrow down to specific cultures all the way to the individual- it's so cool to just graze the top of that several million multilayer cake with little sprinkles of dynamic discussions to just make the world feel so much larger than words on a page, it's one of my favourite things about Ben 10 where - despite the show not doing anything with it - there's just enough substance to make it so deliciously complicated!

Plus, before the Amalgam Kids retcon, there was already the question of 'how do human/[alien] hybrids work' within the Plumbers alone- since there's so many different interacting species in Ben 10 you can have probable cause to make a list of what species can and cannot 'biologically interact' so to speak, or if you believe that Ben 10 should've been more willing to embrace concepts such as mutations and magical influence (*cough cough*mutants and magic au*cough cough*), then maybe they're created literally in spite of traditional sciences (if the study of magic is a science in of itself, plus however mutants come to be mutants).

It's just- so COOL!

Honestly I’d love to see the Ben 10 fandom go more in-depth as to what the galactic audience’s thoughts regarding interspecies relationships and what dynamics formed between different species are like. Is dating To'kustars or Galvans when you’re not a To’kustar or Galvan frowned upon due to the severe height difference involved? Are there debates on whether it’s ethical to date a Vulpimancer or not? Is a Galvan dating a Galvanic Mechamorphs seen as a power imbalance? What would a romantic relationship between a Petrosapien and a Tetramand be like, or a queerplatonic one between an Ectonurite and a Lepidopterran be like, or even a platonic/familial one between a Kineceleran and a Pyronite?

Heheh, I really like thinking about the interplanetary community and it’s dynamics throughout the cosmos in the Ben 10 series, because I dunno it’s like rife with potential for worldbuilding and I guess political drama? Because apparently I like fictional political drama? I guess when it’s fictional it doesn’t affect anyone so it can be played around with in interesting ways.

Got some talking points down below hehe-

I have like SO MANY headcanons about how the interplanetary community treats vulpimancers, though to be fair I have like an unrefined list of notes about the chronology of Vulpin politics and ideologies that I haven’t neatened up yet, and one of those headcanons is the difficulties they face trying to prove themselves just as sapient as the other species; amongst all the bullshit that does bring, interspecies relationships are also affected by that bias. And the fact that you bring up the implied dynamic between creator (the galvan) and creation (galvanic mechamorphs) is interesting too because also, you can kinda also have debates about ‘is it ethical to date the first generation of a species’ especially in comparison to galvans who seem to have quite long lives, ‘is it ethical for a long living species to date a species by all means younger in their entirety than they are’ type questions-

It also isn’t just like the general interplanetary community though it’s also just the differing planetary communities (with their differing nations etc etc until we get to the individual) that also butt heads with each other- an ectonurite’s family really REALLY pushing for them to ‘get together’ with their queerplatonic lepidopterran partner before they have to host a funeral one day vs the lepidopterran having to explain to their hive that they’re happy with their ectonurite partner especially without the pressure of it being romantic there’s so many others that can and do *coughs into hand* ‘contribute’ to the hive population! Or or! The kineceleran not giving two shits about their pyronite sibling from another… pibling? Ah whatever- being so frickin’ slow because they can both bond over sports vs the pyronite wanting to share one of their thrill seeking traditions from back home with a race in their stunt car against their kineceleran cuz’ own personal wheels!

Lowkey I kinda made at least a concept for a tetramand/petrosapien couple which I based on a pseudo sumo wrestling match I saw at school once where one of the participants was slammed into the ground but they quickly switched their positions to roll the person on top so fast the crowd thought THEY were the one to win and not the person they flipped who won first- I mean! In my sphere of headcanons about petrosapiens and Petropia is that they barely got much chance to interact with the universe at large (being cracked open by the fulmini before Plumber intervention set them off plus doing something similar but… a little MORE to what they did on Revonnah) and so modern interplanetary discussions about any petrosapien relationship is ‘i thought they were extinct?’ and especially with tetramands intense courtship it may even skip straight to ‘oh they might as well be extinct’. Not exactly pleasant to hear, compounded by the rare potential someone happens to know - to put it in gross terms - a ‘suitable mate’ with the opposite sex of the petrosapien they’re pestering. At that point you’d better hope it wasn’t the tetramand/petrosapien pair because if the petrosapien doesn’t stab you over the offence, the tetramand would put you in your place, as legally able to as they’d can just to piss them off :P

Do you think if a galvan and a to’kustar were dating it’d be considered a ‘long distance relationship’ :P?

You can absolutely totally ignore this because I know it isn't your usual subject matter but I was wondering if you had any thoughts on Steve and Bucky interacting with Peter? Not in a shipping sense of course they have a like 90 year age gap and Peter's still very much a baby but oh my god they'd be so silly interacting?

Like you can't tell me Bucky wouldn't be like fuck now I have to deal with TWO assholes who don't look after themselves first.

I personally prefer Peter and Bucky over Peter and Tony.. and idk I feel like Peter and Steve would just get each other. Aside from when Peter does something Steve totally would have done but Steve has to be the adult and tell him he shouldn't do it again. :p

I'm not sure I have a ton of thoughts--mostly agreement to what you said--but I will say I LOVE the idea of them together and getting to enjoy each other's company rather than being on opposing sides in Civil War and the limited shots of them together in Endgame and such as you said. Particularly, though, I wish we got much more Steve and Peter, not to ignore Bucky, but I just think they're so similar. It would be trouble, them together.

I'm also thinking a little about Chris and Tom's interactions, and I think they would have fun together on set, too, like--

Regardless of the actors, Steve and Peter would get into so much shit. They would undoubtedly double Bucky's average number of heart attacks per week if they were around each other and super-heroing, lmao.

Plus, I do wish pretty often that we got Steve as Peter's mentor rather than Tony. I just think it'd have been neat. Tom Holland's Peter Parker, as he stands now, in canon, isn't really a neighborhood Spiderman anymore. He's the next Iron Man. If he had been metored by Steve--and by extension by Bucky because those fuckers are attached at the hip--I feel like he would've stayed much more neighbourly and would've filled an entirely different role.

Also, if we're going on about what could've been, imagine if Aunt May in the MCU was that grey-haired, take-no-shit lady that she was in the comics? Then, we could've had Steve and Bucky and May interactions where she loves those old men in young guys bodies 💀💀 That'd just be good for everyone

@skimmingmilk got me curious about AoStH so I started watching it, and yes Sonic & Tails in it are ADORABLE 🥹

I also loved the little "Sonic Sez/Says" at the end of every episode, and seeing Sonic correct Tails' faulty 4-year-old spelling gave me an idea so I drew it and then wrote a fic to go with it.

5-year-old Tails stared at his older brother in bewilderment as Sonic took the pencil from him and wrote out the proper spelling beside Tails' attempt. "What? That doesn't make sense."

"Nothing in English makes sense," Sonic replied without missing a beat, his eyes still fixed on the paper as he set the pencil down. "But it somehow works. I figure it's better not to question it."

Tails frowned at the words on the paper. Sonic's handwriting wasn't neat, but it was more legible than Tails' big, spaced-out letters.

"Sonic?"

"Yep?"

"Did you ever go to school?"

Sonic shifted his gaze to meet his little brother's. "For a little bit, yeah," he answered, turning to wander back over to the tree stump he'd been sitting on before Tails had asked him to read the list of words he'd written out.

"Is that where you learned to read and write?"

"That was the start." Sonic flashed him a little smirk. "I figured the rest out myself."

Tails blinked. "How?"

"I dunno how to explain it," his brother protested, waving his arms a little. "I said words. I saw words. I put two and two together. And now I can do it."

The fox glanced back at the paper, comparing his writing to Sonic's. "So how come 'p' sounds one way, and 'h' sounds another way, but when you put them together they sound like 'f'? Why don't people just use the letter that already does that sound?"

Sonic groaned and leaned backwards over the tree stump, sounding frustrated. "I dunno what to tell ya, kid. I didn't invent these stupid spelling rules."

Tails sighed. With all the amazing things he'd seen Sonic do, between destroying robots and beating a middle-aged mad genius over and over again, he kept having to remind himself that his older brother didn't know everything. Sonic was . . . 13. That seemed so much older to him, but . . . he supposed that wasn't that old, compared to how long Mobians normally lived.

Still lying backwards over the tree stump, Sonic stretched his arm up and held out his hand against the sky, like he was trying to touch the clouds. "'Kay, kiddo, pop quiz. Let's see how stupid English really is. What's the plural of goose?"

"That's easy. Geese."

Sonic turned his head away a little, but failed to hide a mischievous smile. "Good. What's the plural of moose?"

Tails hesitated. He hadn't actually thought of that before, and this felt like a trap.

". . . Meese?"

Sonic snickered. "Nope. It's just 'moose.'"

There was a moment of silence, then an exclaimed "What?!" from Tails. Sonic immediately rolled over and started laughing.

"I told you English is stupid!"

The little fox started grumbling quietly to himself, something about wishing he'd been alive when English had been invented, then buried his face into one of his tails and let out a muffled scream of frustration.

"Hey, hey, take a chill pill, lil bro." Sonic sat up and faced him, still grinning. "It's not a big deal. You'll figure this out."

"I can see it all perfect in my head," Tails complained, lifting his head a little. "Why can't I just make what's in my head be on paper and be real?"

Sonic gave him finger guns. "That'd be an awesome invention. Do it."

Tails shot him a look, but his brother continued to smile back unwaveringly.

He took a deep breath, risking another critical glance at the words on the paper. "You know what, you're right. I'll figure it out. Can I just take a break?"

"Sounds good to me!" Sonic flipped to his feet (because why would he get up the normal way?) and strolled over to him. "I coulda sworn I saw a chili dog stand in the last town we ran through. Let's go grab a few."

"I'm sure I would've noticed that. You were probably hallucinating." Tails jumped up and hovered in the air, ready for Sonic to take off at his trademark speed. "Do we even have enough rings for that?"

"Of course we do." Sonic blasted off running back down the highway, and Tails followed close behind.

"I thought you spent almost half of them on a picture frame at the other place."

"Please, that was just a hundred."

"Why do we even need a frame? It's not like we have a camera."

"Maybe I'll buy one of those next. Sentiments, Tails, sentiments."

"Since when were you a sentimental guy?"

"Shut up, Tails."

Also, I'm not really one to judge people, so I always try my best to be as understanding as possible. I'm not someone who gets angry w their friends easily either...Guess that'd take a lot!

As for my interests, I really enjoy drawing, and I also really like listening to music! ^_^ Something else I enjoy is collecting plushies, so I will always be extremely thankful to anyone who'd think of giving me one as a gift! Also, I absolutely love dinosaurs, so I might accidentally go on a ramble about them with someone I'm speaking with! I just think they're neat :P

Something else about me, which I'm definitely not proud of, is that I easily end up getting anxious over the silliest things. If it gets too bad, I might try to seek comfort from my friends or anyone I'm close to. Usually, that helps a lot.

If I'm close enough with someone, I will definitely be very cuddly around them, or at least give them hugs often! Of course, if I'm not sure if they're comfortable with it, I will ask beforehand if they're ok with it! I always value people's feelings before my own.

And lastly, I know many random facts about animals, so I'll often bring them up to people I'm speaking with if a certain animal is brought up or if I'm asked something about it! I'm often told I know a lot a lot about them :3

With aaall of that said, your romantic matchup is...

Sir Pentious!

I can totally see you and Pentious bonding for a very wide number of reasons. I don’t usually do this in matchups, but I can see you approaching him first and complimenting him on how cool he looks – he’s a snake after all, and you love animals -; he even sounds cool, with all the inventions he comes up with! He’d get really flustered over someone paying this much attention to him but at the same time be very proud of himself, and he’d totally take some time to brag a little, encouraged by your shower of compliments. This is kind of how your first meeting would go, in my opinion!

After that, you two would be inseparable: you’d ramble about your interests and he’d ramble back about his, and you’d give each other opinions on what the other has said. This would continue for hours on end! He’d also grow so fond of you to let you witness him and the egg boys at work; you’d think of this as the coolest thing ever. Eventually, you’d end up dating, probably planning to confess in the same exact moment too. It’d be a bit of an awkward confession, but one full of chuckles and hugs and reassurance!

Pentious is a biiig cuddle bug – he loves hugs, snuggling up against you, hand holding and when you do all of that to him! Therefore he doesn’t mind your hugs at all, he actually asks for them himself. He’s the type to hold your hand under the table while you’re all having dinner at the Hotel and then blush about it, and he also plays with your hands a lot. his hand is probably pretty big and slender, so he loves to point out how small your hands are compared to his.

He absolutely adores when you show him your art, he definitely goes a little overboard with compliments sometimes as he tends to exaggerate things in general but he does think everything that he says, so his comments are very genuine. If you draw him sometimes he’ll be very flustered about the fact that you find him handsome enough to make him a portrait!

He’s actually the type of demon to sit down next to you if he notices you drawing and join you in your activity. Not that he’s great at it himself, but what matters is that he’s willing to spend some quality time with you doing something that you enjoy.

You and Pentious also don’t get on each other’s nerves often at all. If one of you does something mildly annoying you both always end up apologizing immediately afterwards in fear that the other will get mad at you, so it’s very rare that you get mad in this relationship.

Also, if he does do something that upsets you, he’ll be feeling awful all day and do something to cheer you up, like get you a new plushie or bake something for you. Not that he doesn’t do little acts like these randomly during your relationship too though; he’s actually a big gift giver and he loves acts of service so it’s not rare for him to show up at your bedroom door with a trail of freshly made cookies or a handmade little gift. In fact, most of his time in his room/studio is spent figuring out what to make for you next!

When you start panicking over something for the first time, he gets a little bit anxious himself as well, not going to lie. With time though he learns that all you really need from him is for him to act natural and distract you a bit with some silly jokes, and perhaps a bit of light hearted comfort and a cuddle. From that point on he cherishes it every time you turn to him for help, as you’re his first supporter too.

She’ll stare at you with big wide eyes and wonder on her face as you spew facts about dinosaurs and animals; she’ll be especially interested on the cute ones, she adores cute things!

She’s also big on physical affection, so she will never decline a hug from you! Now, longer cuddling sessions might be a little off-limits as she’s dating Vaggie and the latter can get a bit jealous over these things, so you both decide to respect her and stick to hugs and the occasional friendly hang holding while walking around.

Charlie gladly joins you and Pentious in your drawing sessions; she’s a little better at drawing than he is, and will fill the entire page with doodles of hearts and rainbows and stars if you don’t stop her...it’s very endearing!

She values everyone’s feelings a lot, so when she senses that you’re in distress she’ll immediately be by your side. She can be a little bit awkward at offering advice sometimes as she doesn’t have much clue of what goes on in humans’ minds after all, but she’s trying her best to cheer you up and that’s what matters. She will also refrain from judging you herself, as she is the Princess of literal Hell.

Charlie loves your plushie collection; she’s got one of her own! She’s obsessed with taking pictures of her plushies so she’ll definitely do the same thing with yours, too, especially the ones that she finds adorable. When your birthday or some other kind of celebration comes around, a plushie will definitely be her main present from you; she might let the secret escape though while excitedly asking which ones you’d like to get if somebody got you one, right now...

A what if Goro Majima founds out he has two siblings (this is also fic idea which in process of planning as well on paper at moment, after watching playthroughs of the games) after Kiryu says he's heard rumours that twins of Majima have been seen then one day while both Kiryu and Majima are on date stumble upon said siblings.

What do you think they would be like and how they would react to finding their other sibling e.g. Goro Majima?

hmmm ohhh that'd be interesting 🤔 since we really don't know anything about Majima's past you could feasibly make up whatever you want about them tho personally I'm a big fan of the idea that they're like, "normal" lol in the sense maybe they're like idk desk jockeys or some kind of tradesmen.

I like the idea of siblings that are pretty different from each other just to bring in a lil bit of surprise and conflict. if they were nobody salary workers, I think it'd be neat to explore how they feel about Majima being this big shot yakuza of all things. plus Kiryu could be like no fucking way you're related by blood to these people lol you came from a cave or something kljdfkld

but! that's just my thoughts! :p I don't particularly hc Majima's family as anything like himself since his personality is the product of his life far removed from family. which, depending on when you hc him leaving his family, could bring up some neato situations like them being like "you're a really different person but I can still see some of the old you in there" type of thing - kinda like what Saejima said when he met Majima again. I like to think he left as a younger teen personally, maybe 13-14 ish. now, they could certainly be weird like him but I think you'd have to have some sort of reason why given he appears to never have had contact with them in who knows how long.

the two other ponies that i did. the first one turned out totally different then i planned but i really liked the result. when i was coloring in her body, she reminded me of a child's toy that'd been colored on so i went with that and made her a teacher/child caregiver, maybe like a montessori teacher

second (which is difficult to look at ik lol) is my scene pony Frankie, named that way cuz she looks like a lisa frank book threw up on her :P
