So I have seen that Joseph bears all seven deadly sins, and I was wondering what your take is on why he has carved all seven onto his flesh? What would be the reasoning behind every sin, or since he is "The Father" he just bears the carvings in a symbolic way.

I’ve been asked a similar question before and tried to explain the sins on Joseph’s body :)

Sadly, the game never says anything about the Father’s scars and tattoos (except his late wife’s face, of course). I wish we knew why they’re here, who carved/tattooed them, and what they mean. I still especially wonder what the story behind his impressive stitched wounds is!
