What’s a fic idea that you have but haven’t written yet?

SO. FUCKING. MANY.

Off the top of my head and in no particular order:

Gravity Falls continuation about Gideon’s redemption and maturation, including fleshing out his backstory, his parents also improving and the family repairing their relationships, him befriending Robbie with a foil dynamic, regaining the memories he lost to the Society of the Blind Eye, addressing his trauma from being in adult prison for months and tortured by Bill and learning from the Pines that his old amulet ‘whitens the hair and blackens the soul’, meaning using it was altering his mental state.

Twisted: The Untold Story of a Royal Vizier continuation where the Princess learns to cope with everything that happened, grows more as a person and the Magic Kingdom evolves.

Really long Spider-Man AU series where Harry Osborn gets bitten by the spider instead.

Really long Hatchetfield AU series where Ted and Jenny get to be happy together, building off that one-shot about that I did.

Avatar: The Last Airbender character study of Mai and her relationships pre, mid and post-canon.

DuckTales (2017) fic about Lena and BOYD bonding.

Really long The Solve-It Squad Returns! AU series where the squad stay friends as kids instead of drifting apart.

More Catfamily Chronicles fics.

Monster High Generation One fic about Cleo and her friends coming to understand that her family is the Worst and trying to deal with that as she has sleepovers with her friends and gains experience with real love and healthy family dynamics, also tracking her beautiful character development through canon and fleshing out the other characters.

So many Ever After High fic ideas at any given time. Why did canon explore so many characters and concepts so little? Like, developing Cerise and Ramona’s complicated relationship and actually resolving the Hood-Badwolf family plot; Blondie overcoming her internalized classism and insensitivity and devoting herself to real journalism and undermining the legacy system’s propaganda; the Charming siblings breaking away from their abusive parents and toxic family culture and improving their bonds while dating exclusively people their parents don’t approve of; shipping fluff; platonic fluff; proper fics for my Peter Pan crossover AU…

Probably really long series about Victor and Nora Fries, fleshing out them individually and their relationship, from a pre-canon ‘first ten minutes of Up but a big fic’ romance to a future where she’s cured after he reforms and they have to live with the fallout of her beloved husband, you know, becoming a domestic terrorist and serial killer in her mind literally overnight for her sake.

But there are more. There are always more. And I’m too intimidated to write any of them, but also impatient for them to be done and posted, all while procrastinating on my current WIPs. Thanks for the ask! I… think I needed to this off my chest.

Something I miss from earlier eras of the creative side of the internet was things just being unabashedly low-budget. Just all unashamedly amateur, unprofessional, ‘I don’t own a good camera but I have a story to tell you’, ‘I can’t afford a good mic but I have a song to sing for you,’ ‘I don’t have any kind of background in editing or lighting and I only just picked up this guitar last Tuesday but here’s an entire musical me and my friends wrote about our favourite book, we filmed it on a potato and put it up on YouTube in ten minute segments because we thought it was pretty funny.’

after a few years, I've finally updated the Escape Velocity crew's reference sheets ^_^ they feel much more real now.... possibly too real. I feel like domino is going to appear in my house and start asking me to buy beer

sometimes I feel a little discouraged about how long I've spent developing these characters without any comic pages to show for it, but I think in the end the extra time was really needed, and I'm really happy with how the crew look now :J and hopefully I can stop myself from making any more major changes.

Accomplished:

• finally finished taking notes on the background of the exam (how it’s scored, procedures for exam day, how to schedule the exam, etc.

• started on my flashcards for the 200 most common medications (felt simple enough, then i looked through the textbook and the amount of information to study/memorize related to medications is insane, not unexpected but still!! The only way out is through, I will get it done, but damnnnnn)

Still to do:

• whooo boy I still have to meal plan and make a grocery list - I’ve gotten a tad behind in non-academic life things

• the rest of my medication flashcards (just the 200 medication ones, i still have so many more to make for the section - cough cough Walmart 80 cent flashcards take my money)

• take more notes on the textbook medication section
