#so i went to the hairdresser's in september to get a trim after over a year of having NOTHING done to my hair #it was in suuuuuuuuch a poor condition but i loved how long it had gotten so i suffered through the summer #i just wasn't ready to say goodbye to my mermaid hair 🥺#(i should've got it done in the spring but didn't because. well. life i guess lol i wasn't feeling very well maybe)#and so when i finally went to get it done i asked the hairdresser to cut only what was necessary #fair enough i went home only to notice absolutely NOTHING had happened 🙃#i thought i could live with it until maybe later in the winter but i was getting so frustrated with how lifeless and tangled my hair was 😭#so i booked a new appointment at a different hairdresser (a new one has just opened near me)#and aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh my hair looks and feels SO much more healthier now!! 😭 nearly teared up at the hairdresser's feeling my new hair 😂#but at the same time i'm a bit 🥲 because it's quite a bit shorter now 🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲#it's not short per se but aaaahhhh I'm having a minor identity crisis lol (no i'm not i'm just being dramatic 💅)#but it's definitely better this way. i love my hair and i'm never ever letting it get in such a terrible condition ever again 🤧#also i'm not going back to that other place again because it wasn't the first time the same person had done barely anything to my hair 🤨#i mean. i guess they just did what i had asked but...#with all the other hairdressers there's never been any problem when i told them to ''only take what's needed''#i guess she was just too cautious to take TOO much of the length of my hair but gurl what's the point if you only take like 1 cm 😐#with ''what's needed'' i obviously mean ''enough so i won't have to come back here next month'' :\#anyway! i'm happy and keep sniffing my hair (and giving myself a headache in the process) because the products they used smell so nice 💖#pointless ramblings hi yess i'm bored by theflyingfeeling

If his senses weren't muffled by the effects of the transformation magic, Jade would have also picked up on the overpowering smell of the flowers he'd grown on Leona's lawn. He stops shoveling more dirt from one part of the ground to the other and turns around, a brow lifts in question. It had been oddly nice of Leona to approach him with a request, rather than using magic to demolish what he simply did not like.

He sets the shovel against the earth and crosses his arms above its handle grip, back bent. Giving his hat a flick, he crooks a smile at the Housewarden. "I thought Savanaclaw was a desert." It certainly wasn't like Leona to bother himself with decency or politeness, and certainly wasn't like him to approach him out of his own accord instead of making one of his boys send the message. If Leona truly didn't like seeing Jade walking around Savanaclaw, he would've been stopped a long time ago and this little garden of his wouldn't have sat here for more than a few hours.

Jade hadn't complained about the strangeness of Leona's leniency, but he would be lying if he didn't admit to enjoying the benefits of bringing some of his precious plants here. It was next to impossible to grow anything in Octavinelle; the sunlight would have been too obscured for any surface plants to flourish. The greenhouse had been his next choice, but it's no secret it risked other students accidentally trampling on his corner. It was, after all, a public facility.

Still, he didn't see the point for Leona to be indirect about his flowers meddling with his nose. "Think I can't take no for an answer?" He chuckles softly. "That I'll get my feelings hurt?" Earlier in their relationship, Leona had done his part of destroying some of Jade's handiwork in Sanavaclaw. It would be too odd now for his behaviour to seem almost nice. "You can be honest with me, you know. There are differences in the Coral Sea and the Surface, or in Octavinelle and in Savanaclaw." He leans back up. "Now, would you like me to remove the ones that produce too much pollen?"

She was surprised. Despite being in Ramshackle for this long, she had never seen her before. She didn’t know how she knew her name either.

“...Who are you?” She asked the girl unknown to her.

Instead of replying at first, the girl before her simply laughed and then she gave an answer.

“Just someone who keeps an eye on people to make sure they are alright.”

Now she was confused. The girl spoke again.

“But if you need to hear a formal introduction, I am more than pleased to give you one.” She clasped her hands.

“I’m asking you again. Who are you? Why are you here?” She asked the girl.

But she simply smiled and spoke again.

“...My name is Renée Rose Menken, and I look forward to get to know you better, Miss Siphok.”
