Correct! At my best guess (I can’t remember exactly when I got Minecraft) I’ve been playing for ~9 years. Not all the time though, I tend to go through cycles of being really into Minecraft then forgetting about it completely and repeat.

Throwback to when I was a baby trans and I published this original story on wattpad (cringe i know) where the main character was an alien who was also nonbinary. All the aliens were nonbinary not because I thought nonbinary people weren't human, I just wanted to write about aliens and decided it wouldn't make sense for them to have a sense of gender like humans and also I wanted to write about nonbinary people cause I was starting to explore my gender. Anyway. This nonbinary alien was introverted af and the only people they really talked to was their alien coworkers (also nonbinary) and their one singular human friend, who was a woman. Because of this, I never really had any dialogue between two women because out of the maybe three people who ever had dialogue, only one was a woman. So, probably didn't pass the Bechdel test.

Yeah. Anyway. I ended up getting a comment that because it didn't pass the Bechdel test, I was a horrible misogynist for the terrible crime of *checks notes* writing mainly about nonbinary people. Which was a fun time.

Just wanted to clarify that while the world definitely needs more content passing the Bechdel test, not every work ever needs to do so. There are stories with a small cast of characters, and there are stories with nonbinary characters. The Bechdel test, while useful, is not the only measure of how progressive a story is.
