started listening to WHOKILLEDXIX back in like. 2020 or 2021 (when they were still just called "XIX" 💪) and they've been one of my favorite bands since (only recently being usurped of my #1 fav by phoneboy)

i personally dislike some of the pathological analyzation of every single human experience, feeling and behavior exhibited on a lot of posts and social media nowadays (particularly tiktok) and I don't really like contributing to it all that much so apologies if my addition to my previous post is a little buzzkill. Of course, not to say that social media hasn't been greatly helpful for some people already questioning their perception, behaviors or mental health (shit, i didnt realize I had a disorder until i listened and talked to people with the disorder I just thought I was fucked up!) but considering everything is so short-form or text-based nowadays I find people (often young but not always ) tend to miss a lot of context and nuance that comes with even lighthearted discussions of neurodivergency, and i often forget that.

Additionally, not everyone is neurodivergent through and through in every aspect of their life. I think sometimes people lose focus and find so many things that make them different that they assume everything they experience is, indeed, different than the neurotypical with consistency. Like they inherently experience two different dimensions or something when that's not true at all.

Act 0, chapters 1–5:

The wagon stopped with a jolt, and Trip jerked awake. 

The hall of records wasn’t much to look at, mainly because it was dark.

Lya took the arm the boatman offered, holding her cloak out of the way with her other hand as she stepped over the gap between boat and flagstone.

Gerik ordered a firewater.

When the crier on the other side of the wall announced the Chosen of Tarinthe as the guest of honor, Lya swept into the banquet hall, shoulders back, eyes fixed firmly on the far wall. 

Act 2, chapters 1–5:

Trip trudged through the thick Tiresian jungle, tired and favoring his left leg.

The journey began early the next morning with a short ride on a rickety train that would stop in the small town of Sematey. After that, it would be into the wilderness.

It was on the morning of the fifth day that they found the door.

The silence and sameness of the city had crept slowly into Trip’s bones, far enough that he didn’t notice the temple until they were two rings deep.

Several aspects of the situation competed for his attention, amidst all the running.
