Though I've long lost the FIRST draft of Crystal Springs, the original description of Jacqueline lives rent free in my head because WOW she has CHANGED BIG TIME! I keep thinking of this one like "you...the guy she tells you not to worry about" with concept Jacqueline and badass, confident, older, absolutely FERAL Jacqueline as we know and love her these days lmao!
(And after this scrimble last night between 2am and 3am I drew the most feral looking scrimbly proper Jacqueline so if I decide to be a silly later today, I'M READY 😈)
The dress, which hasn't changed too terribly much, being medieval princess inspired
her hair frozen, not as wild, neat and tidy with a little braided crown-esque thing going on with her hair
the sheer bit of material covering the scoopy neck and the like
the icicle bodice, but it's the other way up--the pointy side up!
(which recently was switched to top down after I mentioned it to my housemate ages ago (may have been complaining about how it was hard to draw) and he went "THE ICICLES FACE UP?!?! I thought they went down. Why not try that?" and I did and went "damn. that's a LOT better")

She was also originally about 1700. THAT'S insane. But that's ALSO because I was 17 and Jacqueline was (and still is tbh) my lil' guy on the inside! Whenever I imagined the story I was putting myself in her shoes, so of course every year as I got older, so did she lmao. When I turned 19 I was like "OKAY. SHE'S IMMORTAL, DANI. SHE'S GOTTA STAY A CERTAIN AGE AT SOME POINT" so we settled on 1900 (though she gives me more 2000 vibes these days), and to compensate I decided that the last two digits of her age would be my age lol. Sometimes you gotta dangle that cake in front of yourself and make compromises, I guess? lol.
She was also originally a little more timid/shy! Which is WILD to me. Y'know those fun arts lmels has done with the OCs? I AM PRETTY SURE THE COMMON FACTOR THAT DRAGS THOSE FOUR TOGETHER IS JACQUELINE, SO PICTURING HER SHY? TIMID? SUBDUED? DOES NOT COMPUTE THESE DAYS!

Douglas is capable of driving and has a motorbike. Probably wrecked it some time before the game's events and it's in the shop or something. Not like he should be allowed on the road considering he's usually. Well. Yknow. Decent driver when he's sober though.
Also his lil fins flop down when he is sad tired or sick
Angela wears colored contacts. His actual eye color is purple (like in the concept art + model in the art book).
Krubis did try to crash the wedding between his wife and Giblets. it was a whole thing within the g3 for like a month or so
Mux owns the space versions of twitter and tiktok alongside Muxxalon. Muxxalon also has a streaming service full of very, very trashy and unoriginal content.
Moplets and Furgles share a common ancestor and are part of the same order. It's like humans in comparison to lemurs.
Furgles are often used in experiments not just by the G3 but in the scientific world as a whole for the same reasons animals like rats and fruit flies are used (simple, still adjacent/similar enough to sapient species, shorter lives which means more generations to be studied in a shorter amount of time)

Knifey, pre-DLC, felt distant from the others. Initially it was all just work but seeing the bond between the Bounty Hunter and the Gatlians form + Gene start caring for other people again made him feel a lil left out
Granted it was not like he talked much to others and for a while he didn’t gaf at all but ig when he saw it all he eventually took a chance for a change of scene. He didn’t realize everyone else kinda counted him in, in the end
Either way he’s usually the type not to talk unless someone talks to him first or if it’s about stabbing and maiming killing etc etc etc or something he needs. Gradually opening up more but he’s actually pretty quiet on a day to day basis
Helen ends up working with Gurgula as a secretary/record keeper (squanch games please keep this gag running I beg of you)

Edward IV had not left behind a factional fault line waiting to be shaken apart. Richard of Gloucester’s decision to usurp was a political earthquake that could not have been forecast on 9 April, when Edward died. After all, Simon Stallworth did not even anticipate it on 21 June, the day before Richard went public. We should be wary of allowing hindsight to give us more clairvoyance than the well-informed contemporary who had no idea ‘what schall happyne’. This is not to argue that Richard’s will alone allowed him to take the Crown. Clearly, the circumstances of a minority, the existence of powerful magnates with access to private forces, and the reasonably recent examples of resorts to violence and deposition of kings, made Richard’s path a more conceivable one. But Richard’s own tactics, his arrest of Rivers, Vaughan and Grey, the rounding up of Hastings and the bishops, relied on surprise. If men as close as these to the workings of high politics at a delicate juncture had no inkling of what might happen, the least historians can do is to reflect that uncertainty [...].

The irony is that it was his son's usurper who benefitted from it.#also I added Elizabeth Woodville to the list because Edward V himself specifically said that he trusted the governance of the country#'to the peers of the realm and the queen' as quoted by Mancini (likely relayed to him by John Argentine)#and this is supported by evidence. After Edward's death the Croyland Continuator substitutes Elizabeth's role in the council#for that of the King: 'the counsellors of the king now deceased were present with the queen'#we know Elizabeth presided over all the council's decisions and initiated proposals (the size of her son's military escort) on her own#She was clearly the one with the most authority in the council (who were described as being present with *her* not anyone else)#Hastings made demands but he couldn't enforce them at all (and was in fact worried). it's really a shame I have to sell 40+ of my life hours every week for poverty wages instead of spending all my time and energy on dozens of creative and technical pursuits with unlimited resources
#nerd alert#lets see if i can list all the hobbies i wish i could be doing instead of working#drawing. both traditional and digital. painting mostly acrylic but id like to get good at watercolors. drawing/writing comics#writing in general. fiction nonfiction poetry lyrics whatever. composing music. music production. singing. practicing piano and guitar#performing someday maybe!#sculpting too. i always forget bc i never do it bc i am never in a place to justify buying clay. i should just get some#i think im fairly good at it tbh. anyway.#knitting. sewing. mending and modding clothes in general. embroidery. id like to learn to crochet at some point#photography and scrapbooking sound appealing. photo editing.#web design. game design. 3d modeling. these are all things i dont really know how to do much of but id like to#animation. voice acting. regular acting. honestly a lot of stuff in the filmmaking process sounds fascinating id like to try some of it#tarot reading. is that a hobby? im gonna say yes. jewelry making.#lots of these ive only dabbled in and some i havent even done that but would like to. but i have no time and or money to get into them.#i would hardly call myself a master at any of these. jack of all trades as it were. and thats fine im fine w that#but given the time and resources i think i could make so many different diverse perfectly average to good things#that people could enjoy in passing or say 'oh how neat :)' about

listings for old sonic figures are like RARE SONIC ACTION FIGURE 70 DOLLARS and its ear is broken off and its missing a leg and is just overall in the shittiest condition youve ever seen in your life. and its not even that rare
#ive noticed werehog figures specifically are often victims of the missing ears thing#the amount of people ive seen charging like 60+ dollars for a werehog with no ears is ridiculous#i mean i already have a werehog but its the mini figure and ive always kinda wanted a full sized one too#but ive never seen one thats in good condition AND reasonably priced#the sonic and the black knight toys are also big dream figures of mine but again.#can never find any that are in good condition and reasonably priced#its either broken or costs like 500 dollars. and the few exceptions ive seen were quickly taken before i could get to them#sad !#the satbk figures might actually be on the rarer side though i definitely dont see new listings for them as often#and its usually lancelot. or sometimes sonic or excalibur sonic. ive only seen galahad like 2 or 3 times max#i think galahad was kinda a weird choice for tbh like hes not even in the actual story mode#i feel like gawain or percival would ahve made more sense#oh i just saw someone selling a recent super shadow figure for like 130 dollars i think they should explode actually

#still unsure what i can do when adhd brain doesnt let me do my hobbies in the little free time i have#but in the other hand if i can be sure that if i got a health insurance plan thru the ACA on the state market#that it would still cover me even if the ACA gets slashed - including thru the following enrollment period (that they wont be able to drop#me due to 'preexisting condition'. then i can leave my job and have a lot more time to be active and involved with this stuff.)#like I'm gonna do what i can anywY and I'm not gonna assume i cant do anything bc i have a strong motivation w this so adhd brain might be#chill w letting me do something#it feels like theres no time left tho but I'm trying to ignore that#but i just got my work schedule for Thanksgiving week and between the wk before and wk of I'm working 7 days straight. bc I'm dumb and#volunteered to be the one to work on Thanksgiving Day (why. bc i didnt want to make the 60+ yr old do 7+ days in a row or the 20-yr old.)#(shouldve asked if the kid was willing tho tbh. #journal dump bc i have too much on my mind#1) i HATE my neighbors. theres never one quiet moment. they stomp around and slam cabinets all the time it feels like#2) i've been reading more recently even if concentration's hard bc of noise. but i also feel like there r too many books i wanna read#but yeah. too little time. so instead i cant settle on a book and kinda dont even read as much as i want to. a stupid problem really#3) it's crazy to say but i wish i had a part time job. sitting at home 24/7 for 5/6 years has been SO terrible for me.#everything feels meaningless. every day is the exact same. im not LIVING. im rotting away and all my issues get worse. im also so fkn bored#and i dont wanna sit at home and do assignments (even if thats what i technically should be doing)#i want a job to go to which takes me away from home + gives me money#then i can come home and sit and rot and ENJOY it. bc now my lazy time is only smth negative and bad for me :/#ofc i hate the mere thought of having some soul sucking utterly pointless job and our capitalist society is a slave hellhole. but.. as it is#im not even able to enjoy ANY of my time bc all my time feels bad. plus im only getting poorer and poorer so i cant afford to buy anything#4) im so fkn bored and going crazy from eating the exact same food every single day for the third month now. im sick of it#everything tastes so bland and disgusting. it's genuinely making me depressed 😭 i wanna eat REAL food. im so tired bc no nutrition :((#i cant do anything except wait for my appt w the doctor next week and hope they put me on a waiting list for surgery.. but ong im sick of it#5) i miss my sisters :/ we live in the same apartment but its like i've completely ceased to exist to them#except when they need to be passive aggressive to me. lol. i miss them. but they just dont wanna talk to me :/#but tbh. most of all... i just want my health issue to be over so my body can function normally again.#i can face anything in life if i can come home to a cup of coffee nd some chocolate ^-^ <333
