He reveals his feelings for her. It's a whole mess but the two wound up together in the end.

Hugh wasn't going to accept the role unless he liked his co-workers, he hadn't done romance in a while, and even his last romance movie was more thriller than anything. He had been really interested in you when he heard about your journey to this movie.

You still lived in a little apartment in Brooklyn, traveling for work and trying to get as many gigs as you could. You had audition for a side character in this film but then they told you they were eyeing you for the lead female character. "Vampyres of the Old Faith" is an AU centered around the sudden uprise of vampyr (which are the Bishops in this case) and the vampyre hunters intend to stop this revolt before it gets any worse !! This takes place in the eaaaarly 2000's ,,, so it's a modern au ,,, and is a little funny to consider that the vampyr are Old as hell and arent adapted well enough to modern society 😭😭

YIPPEE Now that i got that down here are the four main vampyres :-3c there is a Green Coven, Golden Coven, Blue Coven, and Purple Coven. Each vampyre is able to shapeshift into smaller forms—like how a vampyre can change into a bat—these four can turn into different animals !! Theyve all been alive for different amounts of time, yet 300 years ago they all managed to find eachother and create a pact of vampyr covens!!

Leshy is Def known as the cruelest and invasive one,, he does happen to be the only one to mess with the shaping and mirroring of reality,,,, which honestly is concerning the most 😭 throughout history people have claimed they've seen "a big tree creature walking and taking people's skin" ,,,, So the eldritch rumors are NOT very helpful for him-

She is a siren and she stays only in the water :-) if her siblings needs to speak to her then they make sure to have a water circle in the middle of their meeting room so they can all talk with her there,,, kallamar is known for her manipulative tactics and ways of persuasion which help her catch and convert people into vampyrism

Lastly is our main coven leader Everyone knows that built up the ideas for a vampyre uprising would be none other thann Shamura 👍👍👍 known for their sadistic self and invincibility , using wind magick to get away with a variety of things in a literal snap of a finger ,,, because of being a vampyre longer than all of them they're uniquely the one with sensitivity to blood?? They can still take blood but they dont drink it as often as the other three do (minus the way leshy does it because he literally latches himself onto a victim's shoulder with his mouth ,,,, )

Well here's the first three bigshots of the company >:-D Sozonius has been hunting and obtaining information about vampyr for years, narinder is fairly new to vampyr bounty hunting yet still exceeded the expectation of a regular bounty hunter (surprisingly the strongest 23 year old), and lamb only recently started researching the vampyr after they lost their mother to vampyrism,, they are mainly known for being a detective and trying to help people out with finding their lost family members or attempting to help revert a vampyr they found back into a mortal !!!!

The company (which im,,,, Honestly not sure of a name about still 😭 i dont know what to call it) has been a benefit to society more than they realize. The unmentioned references happen to be Forneus and Monch. The head scientist is Monch, and Forneus IS the founder of the company to hunt down vampyres! Shes lost her family to vampyrism all the same, especially her two sons (aym & baal) which were kidnapped by Shamura too since theyve stalked narinder and knew he had a fondness over those two kittens just as much as forneus did.

There are more roles within this universe,, ive also been trying to think of how many characters I could add into this,, BUT YEAH !!!! Something really silly and self indulgent over the past few days of making finalized refs for them :-D

Ive been kinda plotting out another secret story for Narinder on how *he* was the one who caused this sudden uprising,, how the betrayal of leaving his siblings caused them to rage in revolution,, but that can be for another time 🕺

it annoys me SO FUCKING MUCH that people who hate grace but love max say "but max has an abusive dad" when while its obvious his dad sucks people assume that hes the worst type of abusive parent possible and act like its canon that max gets beaten every day when realistically its probably that his dad is kinda a typical toxic masculinity type guy not that that isnt bad it is but its far of from the poor baby max view a lot of people act is canon when regardless we literally dont know and also becuase? you guys dont think graces parents are emotionally abusive raising their daughter so heavily into conservative fundamentalist christianity that its her entire identity and life and she is so ashamed and scared of the idea of having any sexual thoughts ever she sets of the whole plot of npmd? like people hate grace for being so messed up but never want to explore that her parents raising her so deeply within those beliefs are the reason why when one line from max is enough to assume hes innocent in terrorizing every person at hatchetfield high like come the fuck on oh my god . and iv seen people seem to blame grace for not breaking away from her values and like i agree when she says shitty things because of them shes responsible for that herself but i wish so much those people would consider that the point is that she cant question them because shes been raised to have them as her whole entire identity and that questioning them to her would be forgetting everything about who she is thats literally a major part of her character like yes grace does suck in a lot of ways but shes been raised so heavily into those beliefs and traumatized by them fucking obviously if she has the breakdown she does in npmd and while that doesnt justify most of her actions it does mean she has a lot more depth to her than people give her credit for. people also forget shes also obviously capable of caring for people beyond those values or else she wouldnt have given up her chastity to save everyones and specifcally pete and steps lives in npmd or have bothered with saving them in abstinance camp its just that the geniune care she is capable for others is buried by the entire religous upbringing shes had forced onto her her whole life and made her whole identity and it just drives me up the wall the people ignore that depth in her character and just say shes just pure evil incarnate then have the audacity to project a character having depth bc of their upbringing onto MAX of all people when its not even canon to his character at all !!

Okay so, while I do have some ideas on everyone's design, I haven't really tackled anyone yet aside from Judas, Magdalene and Bethany, mostly because I don't really know how to insert them in the story. Judas' tainting actually has a part in the story, and I think i drew him already a bunch of times. Apollyon also has a whole story arc about becoming tainted and making a huge mess! He's tied to Maggy's tainting too.

Eden also had some sort of tainting arc, but it involves them becoming human and being unable to change in any way, so it's more like a reverse-tainting. Eden's tainted form is very tied to the game mechanics, I haven't really thought about how that would translate in a more realistic setting.

Lazarus is already kind of tainted, but maybe I could use his undead design for a flashback.

And now for the more up in the air ones:

Isaac would have become beaten up during one of the apocalyptic arcs, and it was bc he was trying to protect Jacob and (dark) Esau from an angel or something, but then the story got shuffled around a little bit and while I still think it would be cool for it to happen, I don't really know when or how.

I had an idea for Cain that when his left eye got gouged and he became tainted he'll finally be able to grow old and die, but that was before I paired him up with Lilith, and now I don't want to leave Lilith alone :( and Lilith too, her tainting involved Satan trying to get her back but it quickly devolved into something way too dark that I didn't feel comfortable tackling, and honestly Satan doesn't really care about her all that much so it wouldn't really make much sense.

As for Samson and Eve, I think they might we might see their tainted version in some flashbacks! Specifically Samson's first life, when he met Eve for the first time ever. The story was pretty simple too, Samson would find Eve dishevelled and shunned by society, he would help her out, she would try to warn him about Delilah but he'd ignore her, and everybody knows how the story goes from there. I'd love to tackle some actual biblical stories sometimes lol.

Azazel is a bit of a sore spot because, with Judas's possession arc, it would make sense for him to become tainted but... I don't wanna T.T I like his design too much and I don't want to hurt my boy... I'll have to think about it.

Anyway Tl, dr: no I don't have many other tainted designs BUT in 2021 when this AU was still being thought about I did a quick Dark Esau character ref that apparently I never posted (because of spoilers I guess? I don't remember)

Goddddd this is old. Can't believe I never posted this lol. Also there's a mention of the Beast in the text but the Beast has since been erased lol. Need to find a place for her. I guess Esau's design would be pretty similar to this one, just more buff now lol. And I guess Jacob would look pretty much the same but more tired and bald and stressed... Aventurine and the visual symbols around him

I keep thinking about the Avgin and their symbolisms that carry on through Aventurine, and after struggling with low energy, I finally pushed myself to make some light research on it. I hope that even through my brain fog, I make a lick of sense.

Avgin in-game information:

So, the Avgin are perceived as deceitful, manipulative and cunning folk, who might have mind-altering abilities, mostly stemming from an irrational fear and jealousy of their natural beauty and emotional intelligence.

The Avgin, whose name means Honey, might be given to them for following Gaiathra Cyclops, who promised them a “land of honey”, but only were lead to live as nomadic people, exiled into the desert with the Katicans, for the aforementioned irrational belief of being tricksters.

Since they believed the world around them is made out of Gaiathra Triclops’ body, they used verbal prayers over any other means, to show HER humble nature. And since Gaiathra Triclops carried the symbolism of fertility, travel and trickery, it makes sense enough that the Avgin too valued the importance of friendship and trickery (I mean, their lives were hard and dangerous, having allies and knowing how to make situations work in their favor must have been THE life skills to survive at all) ((On another note, i like that SHE is a combination of Hera and Hermes, with the whole mother goddess thing, fertility, trickery, traveling. also Hera has a myth around peacocks, so yea, that's also a nice connection to have))

The Avgin also were fond of patterned fabrics and hand-made jewelry out of the myriad of gemstones that littered Sigonia-IV, as there must have been enough celestial bodies colliding with the planet to litter it with precious resources (which must be a big reason the IPC wanted their little crummy hands on the planet).

Peacock symbolisms and the Evil Eye:

From what I read, peacocks could be seen in general as fortunate symbols. In many cultures they are seen as indicators of royalty, prosperity, protection, and luck. They might even be connected to resurrection, eternal life, or regrowth.

The relationship between peacocks and the Evil Eye is actually that the birds carry a strong energy that wards off curses and evil, usually casted by others because of jealousy, hatred and envy (so basically the exact thing that the Avgin had to deal with from everyone else).

So Aventurine being donned in peacock-esque clothes and referred to as a peacock, is just making a visual connection between his luck of getting through hardships.

Also, because peacocks are so colorful, it can be seen as a thing of confidence, being donned so brightly, luring the evil to themselves. With Aven, we can see that he rather pulls all attention to himself, so that his plans can go smoothly, because everyone gets blinded by his appearance and confident yapping, overlooking the mess that is slowly domino falling all around.

Spades:

Card suit symbolisms are annoying to search for, because it’s usually just a ramble about when they were invented or how they evolved through time. But this is close enough for the purpose of brainrot logistics, so.

The suit of Spades was first made with the symbol of a sword, associating conflict, warfare, strife. When it went from sword to pike, it evolved into the connection with agriculture, so the value became more of a positive connotation in regards of “fruits of labor”, prosperity, fertility.

In fortune-telling, spades are related to the suit of swords once more, and that is all about intelligence, logic, truth, ambition, conflict and communication, which can be seen as a double-edged sword on itself. So the spade in this context can be related to intellect, challenges and change.

In cultural and artistic contexts, it becomes more muddled and complicated, because the definitions become personal or ambiguous, but it can be seen as a symbol of hidden truths, secrets, and storytelling.

Which in the context of Aventurine makes perfect sense; his whole character is revolving around luck (good and bad, really), fortune, prosperity, challenges, strife, communication, cunningness, and secrets. He’s the whole package deal.

Aventurine stone:

At last there is the aventurine stone, whose name might be translated into “by chance”, and it’s the gem of prosperity, luck, and emotional healing.

The green stone is connected to the heart chakra, it can be a talisman for good luck, and it soothes the soul.

Blue aventurine is connected to the throat and third eye chakras; a connection between head and heart, logic and emotions; the truth of the individual.

In-game, the aventurine stone is a nice blend of green and blue, most likely so that the players can differentiate between it and the jade cornerstone, but it would be nice to also connect these two colors for the additional possible meaning. Even when in-game aventurine is referred as “the stone of luck and trickery”, for the sake of my brainrot, I will also give it additional symbolism, thanks.

Symbols I’m too tired now to search up but should be mentioned anyway:

The roulette wheel, dice, and other card suits also litter his clothes and persona, but they are easily explained even without diving deeper than a shallow glance. His character is revolving around the game of chance, calculation of probability, and an unhealthy reliance on luck. His earring is a nice mash of a spade and feathers, so unless I will stumble across a symbol close enough to that to fill in that blank, I will chalk it up as a condensed object of his two most repeating motifs.

So now that I got this off my chest, maybe my brain will stop running around in circles on the visual symbolisms and give me peace in that aspect.

show opens on zheng leading a raid and INTERESTINGLY ENOUGH. this might be the first time we've seen a raid where like. the background music is kinda moody. and what's odd is that it has like the same level of comedically over-the-top violence and characters just having a casual conversation as like, the e5 cold open. but there's sad piano and strings doing tremolo in the background. i have no idea what this means.

another thing ive been wondering abt tho is just how much is this show gonna completely fuck with history. because like. is zheng yi sao gonna conquer the fucking caribbean. are we just going completely off the rails re: historical accuracy and inventing entire major historical events?? like crocs and pinocchio and pirates from different historical periods all existing at the same time and in the same place is one thing but if the characters like. overthrow england. then ofmd just straight-up exists in an alternate timeline at that point.

Basically his mother had lost her first son before having Krovin which was already bad enough,, and then her husband went and died after getting caught up in a fight during this one dragon civil war typa conflict,, as you can imagine her mental state kinda went down the drain <33

She wouldn’t leave her bed,, she wouldn’t eat, she kinda just let herself rot away in her room for like several weeks,, eventually Krovin decided to try and take care of her FOR her, so starting when he was around 13-14 all the way up until he was like 26 maybe, he’d make food, he’d make sure she bathed, he’d try to help with her all mental issues and grief and all that jazz

He even started helping around town for some extra money ‼️🔥🔥💰💰🗣 yknow to buy more food and stuff,,

No matter what Krovin did though his mom just couldn’t seem to get better,, mentally at least. Even after years and years of him trying to help her she couldn’t move on

Krovin liked that she was strong and brave, but was also real damn upset that such a young gal had to go through this situation with everyone else,, and she actually reminded him of when he cared for his mom and that like, REALLY upset him

So during one of her visits he’d approached her and they got to talking and soon became besties ‼️‼️

As I said Krovin admired her strength and bravery, and she appreciated his help around camp,, so yeah they became pretty close. Fatherless gang!!!!/J

Sorry ive not updated in a while, everything has been crazy.

Caught my dad cheating loooool not even the first time, it’s the THIRD time. Nothings been done from it though, my mum is terrified to be alone I guess but she’s over it. I don’t know it’s a bit complicated ( but confession time - he doesn’t know that I can get into his instagram account so I have been stalking. ) I know I shouldn’t and it’s probably more upsetting for me than it is for him but I feel like a hacker. It’s just a little funny. If you don’t laugh, you’ll cry.

Feeling more organised now which is nice because I never have been that type of person but it feels like I’m practicing self discipline. My room is a mess but I will clean it when I get ready tomorrow. See, already planning! Physically writing a schedule helps me keep on track, with everything. What would’ve though that writing things on a calendar would work and allow me to plan ahead.

It was my birthday on October and I had fun on it too. I’ve started my own tradition of buying a small film pack for my instamini camera. (Very tumblr 2014) but it’s not cringe when you don’t have a man tell you so. Just also had a birthday meal at a Japanese restaurant for my friend which was delicious. I had spicy udon noodles with battered prawns which was the same thing I ordered the first time I ate there but it wasn’t this amazing. They only just opened back then but it was nice enough to go back and I think the chef is settling in now because the food was better this time. It’s been so cold lately so to have a big bowl of spicy udon noodles was the perfect remedy to warm you up.

I’m cold right now though, I miss my man so much right now. In a double bed by myself is the worse when it comes to this season, it’s got me praying for the weekend so I can get warm in bed with him after spending the whole weekend without him.

Remember when we had that argument about the film, Old boy? Well I watched The Handmaiden which is directed by the same guy?! (Park chan Wook.) And it’s completely changed my perspective. This film was amazing, I recommend it. If you uncomfortable with sex scenes, maybe don’t watch it but it was truly beautiful. It just solidified my point of the deep perversion then men obsess over. The uncle to me seems like the character which would reflect the directory the most because the uncle’s ‘art’ is just perverted which is the same as the director because plays with that perversion for the shock value to create that burning suspension door the audience. It’s for that sickening thrill you seek from slasher films but it takes it to a personal level because everyone had there kinks and fetishes and he 100% makes sure you’re uncomfortable with watching but if you’re not uncomfortable, it’s then reflects on your own perversions. It just like clicked. In old boy I was just disgusted because it was incest and that’s a fetish I can’t justify but lesbians? Allowed. Me being bi, it feels more seen, feel more heard which allows me to connect with the characters and there’s nothing wrong with lesbians, what is wrong is that men sexualise it for themselves because they have to have EVERYTHING. It’s was good to see a man get nothing at the end of film, it really makes a change.

i got another ask almost identical to this so im answering for both here.

there are a lot of ways to interpret this. I'll speak on what I think based on canon and what i also headcanon about them.

its difficult for me to analyse aki's romantic feelings for both himeno and angel. I've kind of been going around it. i always get somewhere and then im like: he doesn't have free will, though. he's not in control of his feelings at all. and boom, everything is debunked.

however, based on canon, i think there was some kind of attraction. im not sure if it was strictly romantic, or sexual. i think there was a strong connection between them. strong enough for a seemingly cold and collected guy like aki to feel comfortable with physical proximity and even platonic intimacy.

its safe to assume that aki knew about himeno's feelings for him. or rather, he had the info for it. ive gotten the impression that he turned a blind eye to it, not rly intentionally but not subconsciously either.

it could be bc of makima, or bc of his own hesitance. himeno is his friend and his mentor and she's flirty with everyone so maybe she doesn't mean it. that kind of thing. maybe he didn't know how he felt, didn't really know how to interpret the type of love he felt. maybe he didn't do anything bc he was dying soon.

there's always the possibility of him not being interested ofc. it just doesn't feel right to me. we've seen aki around ppl he considers friends. the energy between him and himeno is charged in a way that betrays...something...on his part as well.

personally i headcanon that he did like her. again, maybe romantically is a strong word for it. i think he understands the dependency she has on him and i feel like aki gets fulfillment from being needed. having someone to protect. that builds a bond.

i think there's attraction on his part too. i cant rly explain it beyond like getting the vibe from their scenes together. i think there is enough attraction for them to have slept together a couple times, which aki doesn't feel great about bc himeno is in love with him and he thinks he is in love with makima.

if makima didn't exist, do i think they'd be together? i dont know. i literally cannot tell or decide whether aki could be properly in love with himeno, even if he was in complete control of his mind, or if their closeness came from a place of need for something to make them whole and not healthy romantic attraction.

this is all over the place im sorry lmao but it think this mess is representative of aki's mind in a way.

he's stuck up on revenge. he doesn't know himself. makes a point of it. he performs as this character he's created to make his goal possible and he's not even good at it.

he feels this inexplicable pull towards makima and somehow fits it comfortably into his life. he's probably not meant to rly pursue her, the crush is probably supposed to work as motivation and drive.

i hate wanting to be productive in the middle of the night. i was tired all day tdy, and now i just want to do something productive. no!!! i work earlier than usual tomorrow!!!!

im doing my skincare now... i wore makeup tdy so i have no choice but to do it 🤯

im tired still but i dont want to sleep. i feel like i havent been productive enough tdy even though i went to 3 different appointments and within the 2 hours before work i cleaned my bathroom sink (that was incredibly disgusting, i am not exaggerating. no one has cleaned it in like a little over a year. my dad shaves his face there whenever it gets like 5 inches long and doesnt clean the hair out of the sink/on the counter. its gross.), made ramen (it wasnt v good).... at work i walked around almost the whole 6 hours. my feet hurt so!! bad!! after i work. it happens every time. it doesnt help that when i fell down my stairs, my "sprained" foot didnt heal properly. i also hurt my hand at work and have not seen a doctor .... im ngl im like a mess and if i tell anyone abt this theyll tell me its because im fat and need to lose weight WE GET IT. "why cant i be like the pretty girls?" she is the definition of a pretty girl... she may not see it because people were mean to her growing up but its like... ive cried SO much because of how pretty she is. my parents call her the pretty girl, people at school say shes pretty all the time... it just makes me so upset that someone as pretty as her cant see it. and i wish she could, honestly.

and i hate that this makes me so angry. i have so much envy that it rips me apart every second of the day, and i hate it!!!!! im the fat, ugly friend, and i always felt bad for her being friends with me. she says that im one of the prettiest ppl she knows.... if that were true, would she have deleted all the photos of me off of her phone? who knows. and the fact that people compliment her all the time at school and in public should say A LOT about how pretty she is. it happens all the time! and i mean all the time. maybe she doesnt think it was genuine or she forgets? idk... i think the last time a stranger complimented my appearance was a year and a half ago at a taco bell drive thru. the last time i was called pretty (besides when my mom says it) was at leastt 6 months ago. im like distraught because she is literally so beautiful fuck

this is going to make me cry myself to sleep because i cant say any of this to her because this is really just unhealthy of me, like the envy and making me seem like the victim. it just makes me so upset that everyone thinks shes pretty but herself

not cass heres why #cass is someone who bruce trusts to carry out justice and not kill anyone doing it #she is someone who he thinks to be relatively perfect and good and he sees himself in her #and if she were to make a mistake he would see that as even worse than someone he expected to make mistakes #like the good kids how when they do something once are punished much harsher than those the teacher expects to be bad every day #(yes im that kid yes im bitter) #bruce is also not self aware enough to see he's projecting and would react more as if he himself made a mistake which is tough and punishing #jason is my vote because not only does bruce feel guilty and doesnt really have the emotional maturity to both love his son #and still refuse to ally or work with him due to his morals #it has become the norm for jason to “make mistakes” (not mistakes but just things bruce sees as wrong) and as hard as you try #seeing something over and over usually takes the kick out of it and it becomes “just what he does” #if jason were to give up killing and guns bruce would be very happy and it would put jason high on his list of “good people” #even though to the other batkids that's the bare fucking minimum lololol #basically i dont think bruce is perfectly objective and has his own biases which he is unaware of like everybody else #which colors his interpretation of things and it doesnt come out just as “the best kids get babied because they never mess up” #unfortunately good behavior often goes unrewarded and bad behavior unintentionally reinforced with attention #and bruce in my view is a generally good but unfortunately when its not a whole city or concept hes interacting with #ie the interpesonal realm #he is deeply deeply flawed because of his attachment wounds which come from seeing your parents murdered age 12 #and then being raised by a stiff upper lip butler #theres a few people who think damian and i could see that coming later just because hes the youngest and that is the trend in most families #you kind of always see them as just younger than everyone else and have lower expectations to match even though at a certain age #there are responsibilities which should come but that objective march forward is interrupted by just being seen as “the youngest” #i dont think that happens at first though bc getting damian is tinged with the betrayal from talia not telling him for a decade plus #and again bruce is not emotionally mature enough to disentangle all his emotions about the situation very well or even to know to do so #and damian having the personality he does wont make it super easy to bond (but that is not on damian or any child they deserve connection #regardless of their temperament) #it is just the reality that bruce does not have the skills to react very well to this and that reaction would probably well almost certainly #be interpreted as rejection by damian which activates all his attachment wounds which he has regardless of your view of talias parenting #and that starts a cycle of damian reacting and bruce feeling hurt and reacting and so forth. wow ive reached tag limit (via @dickgrayscns)
