I tend to be private/selective as i get fairly overwhelmed with too much activity. i really get into plots though, and i'll spam the dash with some silly original dick chauvinism from time to time when ive fed my inner gremlins past midnight. That said, I do get easily overwhelmed when I'm following too many people and multi muse blogs in particular can exacerbate this feeling, so if I do not follow back - I might just not be in a good place to atm or I just don't see possible interactions btw our characters. It's nothing personal! ^^

This is a mutuals only interaction blog for my sanity (anons being fine). if i can see plots happening between us, i'll likely follow. but i get overwhelmed easily so please don't take it personally if i don't follow back or follow back right away.

I am not exclusive, but I prioritize my plotted threads and may have some mains/activity based off that as far as my main verse goes. But I will never be fully exclusive and i enjoy exploring different character dynamics. Also multiship is fine, but I am not exclusively here to ship or write suggestive content. My muses have always and will always require plotting and scene chemistry for me to consider writing ship material. In the case I do reblog shippy prompts still feel free to send in ofc! I'll see if I can make it work or not.

If I don't get a follow back within a week or two, if blogs i follow go inactive for up to 6-7 weeks, or if there's just no attempt on either of our ends to connect for an indefinite amount of time - i'll occasionally go through my list and soft block to clean things up. if we ever want to give it a go in the future, the option is there for us to re-follow and resume! i have in the past been made to feel like I'm walking on egg shells in rpcs regarding these matters and id rather avoid it here...im just here to chill, write and leave weird surprises in dms.

I don't like the feeling of being 'collected' so...if you are interacting with multiple of my muses, I ask you have a different dynamic for mine than them. This is just an act of courtesy I also extend to my rp partners. I interact more with folks that have a special relationship with my muse, so it's needed to deep dive into more interesting topics for me. I also do not usually interact w/ other of the same muse cuz I feel like I 'absorb' how others play him and I want to keep my version separated from that. I might give it a shot some times though depending on how it's presented.

I know that Adam is a bad guy. He's insufferable and can push buttons- but I am not him and I dislike constantly feeling like I'm being barraged for his actions, especially since I consider him to be a heavily layered character that should not be shoe horned into a standard 'ok irredeemable and never allowed nice things' box. So- if you honestly hate this character please don't interact. I am here for exploring taboo topics and ways that a flawed character can make others think he's justified, betray them, make people feel COMPLICATED things... I also love torturing my muse and taking the piss out of him, so I don't need people moving in and tying to constantly put him down/ruin his current plots by being god modey or not at least asking me how we should proceed in a power dynamic, or relationships cuz you don't ship what I ship, or find my interactions with other characters 'toxic' and 'not allowed'...let me explore and enjoy what I like on my blog within reason and do talk with me on dms if you don't like how things are going with our muses and you wanna explore other routes. I love to plot and I am very reasonable.

I've got great big playlists of music that "sounds like" a particular decade to me. hands down my nineties playlist is my favorite, very grungy alt rock with splashes of house and trip hop. the eighties playlist is also good, very new wave. the thing is, I do still need to add more 80s/90s hip-hop and 80s funk than they have currently, but I'm largely happy with them.

I've also been experimenting with making playlists that sound like a certain time of year. so here's muggy folk music for hot summer nights and my not-a-christmas-playlist of wintry midcentury jazz standards.

more general mood music here are some chill tracks that are perfect to me. here's some trashy indie rock and electro pop that's like millenial catnip to me. here's a playlist where I was trying to capture that same sound but it's specifically about queer women partying hard and fucking nasty. here is a disco/glam/dance punk playlist where after I finished it I was like "wow that's gayer than I expected" but I don't know why bc the songs I based the sound on were scissor sisters, mika, and elton john?!? I may be stupid. and here's my official bleaching my hair in my bathroom playlist. it's about women.

Finally got my Lark Oak character playlist breakdown done, hope y’all enjoy.

We are the kids: I think I found this one on someone else’s Lark playlist and I think it really fits him. “We are the kids that you never can kill” is what Lark thinks of himself and the other s1 kids. And the bit that’s like “i rip holes in my shirt/there’s mud on my shoes/there’s sun on my skin/i am brand new” really represents his chaotic youthful nature and just really speaks to him as a kid. “We howl at the moon” is him and Sparrow because you know for a fact they howled at the moon together because hashtag love wolf am i right.

Always gold: sad brother song !! this one’s just about like brothers growing apart and being all angsty and sad and i thought it fit. “You would kill for me/and I knew that I'd do the same” is a very Oak twins attitude. Technically the song would be from Sparrow’s perspective with the lines “we were opposites at birth/i was steady as a hammer/no one worried cuz they knew just where i’d be/and they said you were the crooked kind” i think these lines really just demonstrate the difference between the two brothers, but more importantly the difference in how everyone else viewed the two especially after the rogue card was drawn. Everyone views Lark as ‘the crooked one’ ‘the angry one’ ‘the problem twin’ meanwhile Sparrow gets swept in the shadow and no one worries or thinks too much of him, because he’s ‘easier’ to deal with than Lark is. Also all the lyrics about everything leaving and dying and then the other person being like “i’ll always be here for you’ is Very Lark vs Sparrow energy. Lark is pessimistic and angry and Sparrow, for better or for worse, will always welcome him in. no matter what atrocities he commits along the way.

Used to the darkness: the sound of this one just felt very Lark to me. The heavy, dark sound suits him well I think. Also the title, he’s been through so much and has been used to fighting and killing and all sorts of other shit since he was like 13 in the forgotten realms, the dude’s absolutely used to the darkness, if you will.

I was just a kid: “i was just a kid/i needed answers/i pulled the trigger/and nothing happened” Lark was just a kid when he stabbed his father. He was just a sad angry kid, manipulated into making a bad decision. He ‘pulled the trigger’ and let the doodler loose. A mistake he will work tirelessly to fix.

The devil you know: this one just fucking BOPS. pretty much the only reason this one’s on here is because of nark/Nicky. Kind of a cute little ship song for them ig.

Icarus: gotta be honest i just really like this song and it has similar Vibes as Lark in my head, i don’t have much concrete evidence for why this one fits Lark. The lyrics ‘icarus is flying too close to the sun” can be read as like, Lark throwing himself into fights against the doodler/other monsters in a wreckless attempt to make himself feel better for causing the end of the world, kinda.

I wanna be your slave: straight up nark. This song just screams nark to me. It works both ways in my mind, it could be about either of them.

Discord: So replace ‘discord’ with ‘doodler’ and I think it applies pretty well to Lark and his view of the world in season 2 especially.

Broken man: this one doesn’t go much further than Lark Oak is uh…a pretty broken man, if you will.

Liar: I added this one while I was still pretty early in season 2, around episode 5/6 when Lark and Sparrow were under the influence of the doodler question mark ? and now honestly I think it applies to Sparrow more. “I’m not in the right state of mind/I just wish I had the strength to admit it” is pretty straight forwardly about Lark not being in the right state of mind at the dance, when he and Sparrow are under the doodler’s influence. It can also have a double meaning and be about his teenage years, where he’s not in the right state of mind and blinded by rage and hurt and confusion and self hatred from stabbing his dad and blaming himself and wanting to fix his mistakes and all of that spiraling out of control. “My stubbornness will put up a fight/but i don't deserve to win it” is just more of Lark’s self hatred and thinking he deserves everything bad coming to him. “I’m left in the dark pondering my mistakes/in the light i swear i will/deny it all” Lark has so many insecurities and anger and hurt within him, but all of that will stay firmly locked in his head, he’s not going to tell ANYONE anything. He’s not letting anyone in, he’ll deny it all. “I am the host of this hostility” is more just of just Lark feeling bad. “My life’s become this grand game of deception/my mind’s ignored all my heart’s good intentions” is Lark as an adult kind of looking back on his choices, regretting what he had to do with swapping the realms, and (this isn't really canon but) kind of missing Nicky, missing what they used to have and stuff. “We all feel this tension/we all have our own illusions” is the entire Oak-Garcia family, all feeling the tension between Lark and Henry and not knowing how to deal with it. And then in the outro how it repeats the chorus but with the use of ‘our’ feels like it could be about the Oak-Garcia family as a whole.

An honest mistake: first off, this one bops, second, this one’s also pretty much on here for the title, Lark was like, a small teenager when he stabbed his dad, and he was manipulated into doing it by Willy, so like, while it is his fault he started the apocalypse and unleashed the doodler, it’s also kinda not? It’s complicated. Regardless, it’s on here for Lark’s regret and y’know, all of that. “My old friends/i swear i never meant for this” is Lark talking directly to the other s1 kids. That’s pretty much it for this one.

You’re gonna go far kid: this one really speaks too and sounds like a manifestation of Lark’s anger. He’s angry and frustrated and the pure aggression behind the words “now dance fucker dance” really represents that well i think. “I never had a chance/and no one even knew it was really only you” speaks to Lark thinking he only has himself/him not trusting others. Also ‘i never had a chance’ is really specifically about the rogue card and Henry. He never had a chance of a happy relationship with his father because of the rogue card’s prediction, but also he never really stood a chance of turning out ‘normal’ or whatever just sort of based on Henry and Mercedes’s parenting style and also Henry’s own daddy issues really affecting how he parented his own children.

Polarize: no one judge for having twenty one pilots on one of my character playlist’s when the lyrics “i wanted to be a better brother, better son” apply so perfectly. “Wanted to be a better adversary to the evil i have done” is also very Lark, it represents his thoughts about the doodler and how he wishes he could finally, actually defeat it. “My friends and I we've got a lot of problems” speaks to the s1 kids and how they’ve been left with their parents' mess. The chorus of “deny, deny, denial” also feels very Lark to me.

Cut corners on short walks: I know this one sounds very different compared to the other songs on this playlist but the lyrics are too perfect to leave it off. I mean, the very beginning lines “the sour substances that make up my hind brain/have slowly become stagnant and i have surely become insane/and the anger i feel in my veins/has stopped pouring out of the hole in my face” already connect so deeply with Lark when i think about them. The ‘sour substances’ that make up the hind brain is I'm assuming intended to be about mental illness or something similar, but in the case of Lark and the Oaks in general I interpret that as the doodler, sitting idle in the Oak’s brains and bodies, waiting for a chance to surface. “Broken by 14 with no chance for absolution” is Lark going through everything he did and being so traumatized and hurt by the time he’s 14. By the time he’s 14 he’s already stabbed his father and everyone knows and there’s no coming back from that, it is a bloodstain on his history. “We were searching for joy with apophatic conclusions/we started savoring apathy and all of our bruises” Lark was a very happy child. He and his brother did everything together, they had great loving parents, they had everything they wanted and needed. Then they get taken to the realms. And then Lark isn’t so happy anymore. “We used to be so pure, so fragile and raw” is Lark mourning the loss of his and his friends innocence and childhood in the realms. “Well out of the flames we reclaimed our decay/and the world became a stage, complete chaotic, how we played” could be about the s1 kids being left with the ruins and decay of the world their parents left behind. The world becoming a stage is like the doodler being unleashed, everything is loose and chaotic now. The rest of the song, the bit about experiencing sexual assault and then the end being about healing i don’t think really apply to Lark in particular because frankly i don’t think either of those things happen to him.

No children: “i hope that our few remaining friends/give up on trying to save us” I mean. That line is pretty straight forward. Lark doesn’t have much hope for the future, he just wants people to stop caring, stop trying with him. It won’t work. “I hope we come up with a fail safe plot/to piss off the dumb few that forgave us” is Lark talking about Henry. He thinks Henry still loving him and forgiving him is stupid, he doesn’t understand why Henry hates him as much as he hates himself. “And I hope when you think of me years down the line/you can’t find one good thing to say” Lark’s self hatred. “And I’d hope that if I found the strength to walk out/you’d stay the hell out of my way” Lark hopes that if he left Sparrow wouldn’t follow. He knows he’s wrong.

Gun.: Everything about this one screams Lark to me. The sound, the lyrics, the fucking TITLE, it’s all perfect. My chemical romance is also just a very Lark band to me, conventional weapons especially (yes im projecting it’s fine). “Well as soon as i get my gun/i’ll point it out the window at the setting sun” can be about the black hole/doodler eye/sun. “As soon as i get my gun/i’ll tell you about it when you fall in love” is Lark talking to Sparrow, he’s always going to be focused on fighting the doodler, that’s always going to be his top priority. Sparrow meanwhile is going to try and build a normal life for himself, so lark will always be telling Sparrow about his fights and stuff while Sparrow is busy doing his own thing with his own life. “Well the uniform isn’t sewn/they make ‘em like we give ‘em out to anyone” can represent how D.A.D.D.I.E.S. isn’t an official organization, it’s just a bunch of dads and sons trying to fix what’s wrong. The uniform isn’t sewn because they don’t have uniforms, they're just guys trying their best. “Well if i’m old enough to die for your mistakes/then let’s go” this is very much teenage Lark to me. 17 y/o Lark feeling so sick and tired of his dad telling him to stay out of fights and keep himself safe, when Lark just wants to go out and get bloody and get in the heat of battle again. He’s already fought, already been through an insane amount of shit, he’s old enough to die for both his own and his father’s mistakes. And maybe a part of himself wants to. “Can I bleed enough to fill up what the engine takes/we don’t know” is along similar lines, Lark will do whatever it takes to make up for what he did, he will fight and bleed until he’s dead if it means the doodler will die. “But if you’re watching up above/they're teaching me to kill/who’s teaching me to love” is incredibly specific and maybe doesn’t fit with canon, but this is like, if Henry died and Lark is still angry with him, then that line is Lark speaking to Henry after he’s gone, like Lark is learning to kill and all this very violent stuff that he knows Henry doesn’t love, and he’s slowly like leaving behind his softer, open side of himself that Henry really did love and did his best to nourish. It’s also like, the phrasing of “who’s teaching me to love?” really hits because we the audience and Lark himself knows that Henry was the one who taught Lark to love, taught all this hippie dippie shit that he just left behind and completely abandons. “I’m never gonna have a son” is like, Lark won’t bring a new life into this broken world until he’s able to fix it. He’s never going to have a son, and it’s also like, he’s the only of the s1 kids who doesn’t have a kid so it speaks to that as well.

Six feet: I found this one on another Lark playlist and thought it went hard so I put it on mine. I think this one just speaks really clearly to Lark’s dedication to fight and fix the world. He’ll work himself to death to make things right. Also it just bops so.

I’m not angry anymore: I don't even have a good breakdown for this one it’s just THE Lark song to me. It’s everything. It’s pretty much just the title and the vibes of the song and everything, I can't even explain it that well.

Anti-hero: listen i'm sorry i put the new biggest taylor swift hit on my lark oak playlist but hear me out, it fits. Just read what @terrific-fish wrote when it dropped:

Brother: oooooooh my god this one hurts me. Imagine Lark leaving to go off and try to plan and take down the doodler, the mission or whatever is unsuccessful and goes bad, and he arrives at Sparrow’s doorstep out of nowhere, because he knows his brother will always take him in. Sparrow will sit with him and listen and bring him down from whatever self hate and doubt and everything in his head that he's going through. He’d patch up any physical injuries Lark has as well. “Remember when you and I would make things up?/so many nights, just take me down/to the place we can hear them play/i miss that sound/cuz no we don’t sing so loud” is Lark wishing to go back to his and Sparrow’s childhood, before the realms and before the rogue card and before all the hurt and anger. He wants to be carefree and happy again. He misses it.

Brother: well. Going to be honest I didn't really have a good reason for this song to be here aside from the title, but going over the lyrics I have a truly tragic reading and interpretation for it. “Oh brother of mine/it’s been a long long time/since i’ve seen my face in your eyes” is Lark and Sparrow getting older and while they will always look like each other because, y’know, twins, as they grow older they develop more of their own sense of style and expression and change their looks a bit. Sparrow grows his hair long and shaves his face. He looks just like his father. Lark doesn’t have the patience to shave and so his beard is messy and unruly, but in a cool hot way. He looks nothing like his father. “I left you alone in a house not a home” is Lark tearing the Oak-Garcia home apart with his hatred of Henry. Mercedes and Sparrow don’t know what to do, Henry is in shambles, and Lark is just so, so angry. Sparrow becomes the middleman, facilitating Lark’s hatred while never speaking against him, never telling him how much it hurts to have the people he loves unable to speak with each other. “Brother i watched the sky burn/and all i learned was smoke fills the lungs like a disease” i think this is Lark learning that like, hurt and violence don’t only have to be physical? Like, he learns that words can cut just as much as knives. The ‘smoke’ can hurt just as much as the fire, just in a different way. He watches as words and social norms slowly kill his brother, as Sparrow inhales so much smoke it kills him and beats him down. “Oh brother i confess/there is little of me left that could care about dowsing the wildfire” is Lark losing so much of himself in anger that only the smallest part of himself cares about his father anymore. He can’t bring himself to forgive him but he misses him so much and everything hurts.

Thank you for all of these recommendations, let's go thru them one by one together shall we? Get ready for a long ass fucking post, i take music recommendations people give me really seriously Also I'll give you some recommendations back, deal?

First off: Ghost Bath I listened to Funeral, their 1st album release from 2014, picked out at random, really cool album art too!

Apart from the really goofy name that they had to like have the meaning explained on their spotify description seemingly too often misunderstood by the metal community (the last show i went to a lot of dudes over there seemed to love taking ghost baths), I really liked it, the second song in the album, Burial, kinda sounded familiar to me so maybe i've listened to this band before in passing on like a random DSBM playlist? Really deep sorrowful vibes, really liked the echo effects in Procession, the 4th song in the album, i would prefer more like actual lyrics instead of just vocal sad cries, i don't think they serve any real purpose, the instrumental already convey the feeling and emotion that the band wants to put out, but hey thats my opinion, maybe thats why i only like a handful of DSBM bands? 7.5/10 - If they make an instrumental album its definitely going to be on my album rotation!

Next up is Ninkharsag I listened to The Dread March of Solemn Gods, released in 2021 According to the metal archives They're a melodic Black Metal band from England This is 100% more my style, i get some like Dissection and like Mgła vibes from the 2nd track onward, favorite Track was for sure Under the Dead of Night, the lyrics in this album are so good, like actual poetry like seriously look at this! This is an excerpt from Lunar Hex; The Art of Mighty Lycanthropy

Amazing album will definitely listen to them more 10/10 - Mr Bones i would like to get off the spooky ride

And then Mr bones dropped us off in The Church of Misery I listened to Master of Brutality, funny thing is, this isn't my first time listening to them, but i completely forgot the band's name, i only knew the album i listened to the cover was like a copy of Black Sabbath's Master of Reality's cover art, so thanks to you i found this band again lol They're more in the "i wanna die... but first i wanna smoke weed" spectrum of the metal Genre, nothing wrong with that mind you i've been dipping more and more in the doom stoner metal genre with bands like Merlock and Bongripper My favorite track of the album is their cover of Blue Oyster Cult's Cities on Flame with Rock and Roll, really liked how the vocals sound in that track

Next up is Afsky, a one-man project from Denmark I've already listened to afsky before more specifically the album Ofte jeg drømmer mig død, but never really got around to listen to the rest of the discography, today i listened to Sorg an older album released in 2018, and its just more of that later album i actually listened to, really solid ambience, makes me think of dark humid dungeons, searching for the exit while some random cult is preparing a ritual in a chamber below My favorite track was Vættekongen not just because of the silly name (sounds like donkey kong's danish cousin or something) but also i really like the hurdy gurdy in the beggining, such a cool instrument and really just lends itself to a medieval fantasy-esque kinda of atmosphere 10/10 - The danish really need to invent a less confusing language though, my keyboard doesn't have that fucking o with a stroke through it

I listened to Infinite Granite by Deafheaven, an American Post black-metal/Shoegaze band released in 2021 I'm fairly new to listening to shoegaze, 99% of my experience with it is Slowdive which i love, and giving my bloody valentine a shot, so i dont really have much to go on the genre, I've read somewhere about how some people listen to shoegaze because of the warm, slow sounds feel like a hug in your ears, and i can definitely can see where they're coming from, this album is really melancholic for sure but unlike that album by Ghost Bath, you can still see a spark of hope My favorite track in the entire record might be The Gnashing, i really enjoyed that solo, with Lament for Wasps coming at a really close 2nd 9.8/10 will definitely listen to more of them

Up next was Paegan Terrorism Tactics by Acid Bath, same deal as afsky, only listened to When the kite string pops and then didn't bother to listen to the other album, what a bad decision, the other album is like a classic nowadays, but this one also carries his own weight, my favorite Track on it so far is Venus Blue, i also really liked their decision of making sorta like a "intermission" track with New Death Sensation, like something less heavy to get you ready for the next part of the album 9/10 - At least its not a killer clown on the cover right?

The absolute GOATS of Funeral Doom imo, just really heavy, slow, less sorrowful like Ghost Bath, but more just pure ANGER

Black Shining Leather - Carpathian Forest

Trve Kvlt Norwegian black metal a real example of just complete like ghoulish sounds, with a really fucking kick ass cover of A Forest by The Cure in the end, really great album

Bog Wizard - From the Mire

It was late into the night, and Wanda’s spirits were more alive --- and enraged.

Anxiety and adrenaline bleeds through her witchy fingers, sparks zap dully at the tips, clutching her cup of liquor tightly.

Across from the bar, near the lounge couches, you seated with your silhouette legs crossed, your head tilted back, tipsy giggles slipping from your lips; seated next to you was a certain Captain.

Oh no --- not Captain America, he was busy cuddling with his lovers, how he slurs lovingly ‘my Bucky, my Sammy.’ Steve and Bucky two fingers deep in Asgardian Ale, with Sam edging deep in whiskey. All three sharing kisses in the far corner, ready to sneak back to their room for late night loving.

Shamelessly undressing you with her eyes was Captain Danvers herself, her arm slung over your shoulders, deep in casual conversation with you. Simple maxi dress, adorning your hips, softly encasing your figure, low cut that amples your breasts --- and Carol was eating it up.

Beneath the surface, radiates comfort, you can break any stoic façade with that wattage smile. Wanda and yourself match, a perfect yin-yang, one and the same, and Wanda loves it.

Slightly puckering your lips, restraining a grin splitting from ear to ear, you coyly titled your head at Carol, who was complimenting the tattoo that adorns your shoulder-blade. How slyly Carol’s fingertips trace the tatted lines, feigning curiosity.

A dull clank of a glass against the counter could be heard. Tenderly covering her glass with your palm, tugging it out of Wanda’s palm, and gliding it away. “Let’s go to bed.” You slither, eyes glassy --- the champagne bubbling light in your head, skin tingling and aching for Wanda’s touch; your eyes rover over her figure, curves snug in a velvet maxi dress.

Auburn hair coils in slick waves, draped over her smooth shoulders. Leaning in, you can smell the liquor wafting from her slick lips, Wanda tsks, cheekily leaning towards you; her fingers sought out to your thigh, gripping the flesh.

What is the main color associated with them? What connections with that color do they share?

i have a tendency to build my characters around colour themes and Kveða's is super basic and inspired by the campaign, but it's definitely based around frost/ice. lots of light blues and greys, white and black. even with blue hues he's pretty monochrome by design.

the main connection is the fact that it's a melancholy colour to me, for several reasons. one is that i'm very lucky to live where i do and very often see where the ocean meets the sky on a horizon line that feels impossibly overwhelming, and this is something i have as a core trait of Kveða -- he feels insignificant in the grand scheme of the world around him, more so in this era of his life than any other. and two, one of his main 'theme' songs is stories by eivør which is not a surprise to anyone but there's a lyric in there: "they leave me feeling sad and blue" and it's, yk, it's not a groundbreaking concept but that song is dripping with melancholy throughout and it's been in his playlist since day one, more or less

Drawing from the language of flowers, what flower would symbolize them?

perhaps the harebell/bluebell flower! there's a lot of connotations surrounding them but my fave take is that they are heavily associated with grief from being prevalent in shady graveyards, and they also have a mythical, "fairy-folk" side to them that talks of ill omen if you hear the ringing bells at night.

Kveða has some unfriendly shadows lbr, and that balance of grief and mystery is very on point.

What mythical creature would they be represented by?

my immediate answer was Hati bc there is something terribly familiar about chasing an inevitable end with little to no other purpose in life

Land, sea, or sky? Of the realms of the world, which one does the character belong to?

this is actually quite hard because he has an aspect that is deeply linked to all three LOL

ultimately i think i would say land; he may say the mountains of his youth are grim and unforgiving but there is a fondness for them beneath the many many sediment layers of complexities

What instrument would be used in their leitmotif (essentially their character song in this context)?

you know me so this is going to be a really obvious answer but the shaman drum that eivør uses in trøllabundin would be so fucking good in a kve-specific leitmotif

Day 2: Come Little Children

This is very much inspired by this oneshot by @asmo-ds , please do read it! Also heads up, I have no memory or clue what Barbatos calls Lucifer so I’m just gonna let Barbs call him by his name

Simeon’s cries felt distant as he fell from the realm he once called ‘home’. Why? Why did it have to turn out this way? What did he do wrong? Was he that... useless? Even Michael couldn’t believe his ears when he heard that Luke was going to be banished. He had done nothing, and could even rival what angels higher in the hierarchy are capable of. Useless was anything but what Luke is. 

He was told by Simeon to go straight to the brothers, or at least Diavolo and Barbatos. Oh gosh, Simeon’s face... Luke had never seen it before. It was so void of the happiness he was used to seeing. Right then, it was so full of grief and despair, and Luke felt so sorry that he was the cause of it. The face that once gave Luke hope was now shattered, and the only thing he could hold onto was the comfort Simeon’s eyes revealed - telling him that everything was going to be alright. Luke disliked the demons, but even he had to admit he could tolerate them and in this situation, it would be best to trust them.

He was expecting to hit the ground when he was caught by arms that felt so strong and warm. 

“Luke, what are you doing here? Why did you fall fro-” Lucifer asked the younger before cutting himself off, his realization hitting him. Luke’s wails gave away that he was in deep agony and although Lucifer didn’t really like him that much, those wails felt like stabs, so wrong coming from this child who used to be so pure.

Luke held onto Lucifer as if his life depended on him, which it probably did considering that if Lucifer wasn’t there he might’ve already been gone. Lucifer adjusted Luke’s position into a more comfortable one, comforting him the way he used to comfort his brothers when they fell from the Celestial Realm. He tucked Luke’s head into the crook of his neck and rushed to the Demon Lord’s castle.

He woke up with a cry as pain shot up his back and he was hurriedly laid back down by a pair of arms. He opened his eyes slightly to see the person before he let out another sob.

“Lu...ci..fer?” he croaked out. 

“Yes, it’s me, Luke,” Lucifer sighed out in relief. He wouldn’t admit it, but he’d been worried sick Luke might not wake up. “You’re in one of the bedrooms in Lord Diavolo’s castle right now. Barbatos will be coming in soon to check in on you.”

Luke let out a strangled noise as he tried to nod. Lucifer shushed him and checked over Luke once more and his breath caught in his throat. Where his back was once bare now grew tattered and dark feathers, indicating that his wings were going to grow sooner or later. His horns might grow then as well. 

As he was looking over Luke, Barbatos came in as if he was in a rush, and it seems as if he was. 

“Oh, Luke,” Barbatos whispered is horror. The butler had taken a liking to Luke, and when the exchange program ended, the younger didn’t hold back any tears as he hung onto Barbatos. 

The butler then brought in his signature cake and Luke lightened up a bit, which made both the older demons smile sadly. Barbatos gave Luke a slice of the cake and offered one to Lucifer as well, which he accepted when he glanced at Luke.

“Ugh, I missed your cake, Barbatos! I kept trying to make it but it wouldn’t taste the same!” Luke groaned and made Barbatos chuckle slightly. He and Lucifer then exchanged eye contact.

“Lord Diavolo suggests that Luke stays at the House of Lamentation, if you don’t mind,” Barbatos told Lucifer to which he sighed in response.

“I’ve thought so, my brothers are already making a room ready for you,” he said as he looked at Luke and he widened his eyes.

“If it’s fine. I really don’t want to burden any of you! I’m already doing so by-”

“Luke, they’ve already made a room for you. You won’t be burdening us,” chastised Lucifer.

Luke stared at Lucifer before giggling softly. “I now see why MC used to call you an over-bearing mother.”

Lucifer pulled a face at the thought of that as he sighed in exasperation. 

“Lucifer, can you give me and Luke some time alone, please?’ 

Lucifer looked between the two and nodded as he sat up and left. He could guess that Luke still wasn’t alright, and he wouldn’t be the best at that. Besides, Luke and Barbatos had a bond much stronger. 

As Lucifer left, the tears he had been holding in started falling from his eyes. Barbatos then slowly took the plate of cake and placed it on the table and sat down on the bed, and ever so gently he lead the boy forward until Luke was pressed up against his side and wrapped up in his arms. The sobs Luke let out were heart-breaking and his small chest was heaving heavily, struggling to breathe. Barbatos then suddenly had an idea, and he the placed Luke’s head on his chest.

“ Come Little Children,

I'll take thee away,

Into a land of enchantment.”

The butler’s calm and low voice quieted Luke, but he was still hiccuping and tears were still running down his face. “Come Little Children,

Times come to play,

Here in my garden of shadows.” Barbatos has never despised the angels more than this moment (except maybe Simeon). Rest assured, this “garden of shadow” would be the safest place Luke can live without being banished just because some angel thought he was weak and useless. “Follow sweet children,

I'll show thee the way,

Through all the pain and the sorrows.” The butler is sure that in time, the brothers and the young Lord will be able to help Luke through all this. He’s too young after all, and this will impact him forever. “Weep not poor children,

For life is this way,

Murdering Beauty and Passions.” Alas, out of all the realities he’s seen this one may have been the most unpredictable of all. But - he guesses, life isn’t always about beauty and happiness. “Hush now my children,

It must be this way,

Too wary of life and deception.” Luke was never really deceived in a way so cruel, so harsh for beings who live in the Celestial Realm. So maybe it was because of that even though he distrusts easily, he places his confidence and kindness in many people, the young Lord can confirm that. “Rest now my children,

For soon we'll away,

Into the calm and the quiet.” Barbatos finally felt Luke slump against him and he brushed his lips against the younger one’s hair. 

“Do not worry, Simeon. We will take care of Luke and one day you two will be reunited again. This is a reality I am going to make happen.”

another song from jimmy and rowan’s perspective - they see that lister indulges in a lot of self-destructive behaviour, smoking, drinking, having sex, etc. in the first part of iwbft, they notice all of that in an almost accusatory way, which to me feels like the tone of this song - “kiss yourself another stranger / ‘cause you know you love the danger, don't you? / give yourself to someone new every night, is what you do” for example is them thinking he sleeps with everyone with a pulse

i talk about lister and his relationship to religion in greater depth in part 2 with preacher man but i think that theme appears in this song too. generally this song is very much about emotional turmoil, feeling unloved and distant from your friends, and feeling worthless, so very much a lister song

So as we all know, there is an official Chain of Thorns playlist. And as it's updated and changed, I'm going to write a theory based on each song. This will be a long series, with me noting way too much about every single song because I overanalyze.

Heroes - Zayde Wølf

Okay I actually listened to this song once or twice before I knew of the playlist. I listen to the artist, Zayde Wølf a fair bit.

The lyrics are nabbed off Google, and put in italics with an indent.

I can hear the lost crying

This line makes me think of the dead, the ones who were murdered by Belial. And all the ghosts Lucie has ran into.

I can hear the truth hiding

Hiding

Well, if we know one thing about TLH, there are a lot of secrets. So this line specifically would refer to every single secret these guys are hiding. Which is a lot. Because everyone is so bad at communication.

Yeah the shadows are calling us out

This is an interesting line just because of the way it's phrased. I'd take this as just talking about the demons that hide in the shadows, ready to attack.

I see the fear rising

Yeah but my hope is burning

Obviously, with all the demon stuff going on, who wouldn't be afraid of this? And maybe they'll still hope, because this is what they have to do. The Shadowhunters still have to fight.

Repetition for poetic effect.

Whelp, that's just the Shadowhunters in a nutshell. They're heroes who fight until the end. That's literally what the theme song off the TV show says. (It's "This Is The Hunt" by Ruelle, but still works for the books.)

This is getting dark fast. Even if the song is very upbeat, using mainly major key notes. But there is that hint of the darkness you have to fight out of.

The thing about this song is that it's very general. It has no lines that I can connect to a specific character. The only line that came close was the "lost crying" that could refer to the dead. Again, with these lines, we have heroes rising above their challenges . . . which applies to every Shadowhunter! Although I feel like this song, being the first, is just here to set up a background feel for the playlist, but still annoying nonetheless.

It's feeling like the sun's hiding

I read this lyric out loud to myself and screamed. If I remember one thing about the other worlds, some of them were described as having their sun burnt out. Like Edom, as a good example. And this lyric just made think of that. I'm guessing James is going to do some traveling to another realm mainly because of that and the fact his ability ties into this

But we're gonna keep moving

Surviving

So no one who goes to another realm would die, thank fuck. (Which my phone says is spelt wrong, but I know how to spell "fuck," phone.)

No we won't go quiet tonight

The shadows are calling us out

Again with that phrase! It just is such a strange phrase, and I can't figure out the meaning. I did a wild guess earlier, but I have no clue if this is even relevant. Even removing the context of Chain of Thorns I don't know what it means.

This the chorus repeating again, no new thoughts, so I'll just leave it here.

Okay, so I feel like it means the Shadowhunters, the heroes, are the only ones able to fight the demons, to save the world. They are the only ones who can bring light to the darkness.

The rest of the song is just the chorus again with a few repetitions to really show the meaning.

Final verdict: Based on the lyrics of this song, the Shadowhunters will do some demon fighting. It's also highly likely James will end up in another world, but I need more evidence to back this up. It's just a song to set up the playlist, and to lead into new songs. I also love this song, just because it's my type of music, and it's still upbeat.

The grand Budapest hotel - good, great visuals. I enjoyed it.

The greatest showman - wonderful music, actual circus parts were good, the rest was boring. Its really short, and I felt it focused to much on the drama in pt barnums life, too much focus on a silly fuax love triangle, not enough on the acts themselves. I went in hoping to see the acts interact and actually be presented as the forefront. The beginning showed this magnificent scene with the acts, with this wonderful musical number that made me tear up. But then, it was just about Barnum and his kids being boring most of the time. The songs and musical scenes though? Absolutely wonderful, magnificent, stunning, and entertaining. Zendayas and Zac efrons characters duets? Beautiful, I loved the song and choreography. I just feel like the emphasis should have been on the circus itself. Hugh jackman. Needs. To. Do. More. Musicals.

Jumanji: out of the jungle - hilarious omg I laughed my ass off!

King Arthur: legend of the sword: wtf was this movie bro? I mean. I have a new song in my cars playlist, but wtf.

The Black Panther - IT WAS SO COOL! I loved the visuals and the storyline. Shuri is my favorite genius and I can’t wait for more Black Panther

Thor Ragnarok: you mean that was the actual movie, that tumblr wasn’t just fuckin with me, like, those were real ass scenes that were filmed?

the Emoji Movie: bad, forgettable, literally did not remember watching it till a friend asked me.

the Good Dinosaur: literally a children's movie, idek why I watched it tbh

Jurassic world: THE HUBRIS OF MAN! THE INDO RAPTOR! BLUE! They made... An indoraptor. Not just any raptor, oh no, that's not enough for the hubris of man, its an indoraptor. What's an indoraptor you may ask? Well it's when you mix a raptor, with the indominous rex DNA. But Cotie, didn't the indominous rex already have raptor DNA? Wasnt that the whole thing that it was a t-rex with raptor DNA? Yes, yes it was. But this one is different, it's smaller, it's smarter, it made to obey commands like a war machine, it's the I N D O R A P T O R! So it's just a super powered velociraptor? Yes, yes it is. So what makes it special? THE HUBRIS BEHIND IT!

Incredibles 2: awesome! I loved it! Those flashing scenes really were no joke though. I don't have epilepsy, but damn those scenes were hard to look at. But I absolutely love the fact that edna babysat jack jack for a night, and gave him a super babysuit. I hope we get to see more of the other superheroes helping out the incredibles!

Hotel Transylvania 3: it was a good movie. Its the only Adam Sandler movie series I can stand, but it was a decent movie. I like the introduction of the van helsing family, and the whole premise. Plus I love the message that its possible to fall in love again.

Ant-man: "in like the Flynn" niiiiiiiiice Tangled ref! "ANT-THONY!!!!" Ok that was a fun and hilarious movie. I fucking love the three wombats, especially Luis omg. Also I love Scott lang relationship with his daughter and that he was the driving force behind his motivation. Also not gonna lie, I kinda watched this one so I could go see Ant-man and the Wasp, but I liked this one too.

A Wrinkle in Time: FUCK ITUNES NOT WANTING TO WORK DURING THIS MOVIE! ok but Chris Pine as a Dad? Awesome. "Happy anniversary, if only you'd dissapear too" wow, these high school preps are viscous. Also I love the little kid calling out grown ups for being pieces of shits. Also this movie was adorable and heart felt and I loved the mix of fantasy and science that made it a science fantasy movie omg.

Lara croft: tomb raider: ok but the girl who kicked Lara crofts butt in the beginning has me gay as Fuck man. "OPEN IT! OPEN IT! OPEN IT!" OK calm down Nicolas cage.

Guardians of the Galaxy volume 2: omg that was indeed another real marvel movie I had just seen. I can't believe the stooges are a space family that just, does stupid things. I love them all. 

We gonna start some parralels; a wrinkle in time - a movie about two siblings trying to find their dad who has been lost for 4 years. They get him back through the power of love; Lara Croft: Tomb Raider - a daughter finds some adverturing stuff to lead her to her father who had been missing for 7 years. Tries to get him back by killing men. Doesn't, and then kills more men; Gaurdians of the Galaxy volume 2: a boy finds his father after 34 years, but turns out he is a huge fucking jerk, also finds that Mary poppins was his dad after all, but then both Mary poppins and jerk dad died, with varying degrees of mourning from Boy.

Spider-man homecoming: omg so many second hand embarrassment scenes but it was so good! I laughed my ass off at the ending omg tony no. But also, that awkward moment when ur dates dad threatens your life and he actually meant it...

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Dude. Duuuuuuude that end credit scene. Duuuuuuuuuuuuuude. That movie was just as hilarious as the first ant-man movie omg! It was fun and incredibal and I'm so happy the 3 combats were there. I was losing my shit over the baba yaga stuff!

Avengers age of ultron (semi live blogged): god, I'm 9 minutes in and I hate this movie... 13 minutes in an ur telling me this could've been avoided if marvel hadnt turned two Romani (from what I remember of mutant canon) characters into, not only human expirements instead of mutants, but voluntary hydra agents. -sighhhh-... 20 minutes in and why, why Tony, just... Tell the team, why do we gotta have lazy 'i dont wanna communicate' writing bullshit...Jarrrrrviiiiissssss my boy T.T... Did they really just try to make dissimising female characters and using their achievements as a sort of 'my horse is bigger than yours' as quality character writing? God this Bruce/Nat romance is so forced... Oh no, Ultron fucking appeared, why does he sound like a bad Tony stark impression? Ultron is fucking annoying... Fuck man, the plot with the twins have arrived, and I hate it... -mentions Wakanda- thanks for reminding of a better movie I could be watching... God, the acting is either way too dry, or way too ham... Wow... Clint is... The most mature person in the movie... Wow, the scene where Nat reveals she is infertile, is worse than I thought it would be, and I knew it would be awful... Hour and a half in, still bad... Though ultron is now acting like a c h i l d... Oh no, now we creating Ultron 2.0 this time its Jarvis... Please discuss it with the team, pleeeease... Annnnnnnd U didn't... Fuck... I'm so tired, 1 hour and 31 minutes and the team is fighting... Thor coming in for the jarvis Saaaave! Yassss vision with the worthy of the hammer! Okay the battle scene with ultron was pretty cool. Still dont like the movie over all.

Captain America civil war: not as much fighting as advertised. Too much 'we arent going to sit down and communicate' trope. Honestly I was too bored and tired to really actually pay attention to closely... All I got from it is the russos need to learn what a get along shirt is and be better film makers.

Avengers Infinty War: wtf, what the fuck, was that. That was some fuck right there. You are telling me thanos was really able to get the soul stone like That? And the mind stone like That? And all that other bull shit? Y'all Russo better be ready to have thanos ass kick in the next avengers movie. But damn that was some shit that happened.

Deadpool 2016: I loved every bit of the movie omg, it was everything I hoped for out of a deadpool movie.

King Arthur the one with kiera knightly: That uh, sure was a King Arthur movie? Way less weird than King Arthur Legend of the sword. Merlin didnt cast magic, and arthur was a Roman, but guinevere is a kick ass archer, soooo acceptable...

Ghost stories (2018): awful... It was slow and boring, and I didnt like it... I rented it through itunes and it glitched part of the way through and I stopped being able to see the picture. Even after I got it working again I still didnt like it... Though I did like the message of "dont be a bystander", but the whole this was boriiiiiinnnnnnnggggggggggg.

It was also fucking hilarious... My favorite character was meiying, the little 8 year old in the movie... The love plot wasnt forced and they way they did it the two leads were not having it and had actual chemistry... Just... Also the dog... The dog does not die... Pippin lives... Wrath of the Titans: wtf kind of movie... Like really what the f... Since when is zues ever responsible and wise.

Mission impossible, fallout: I liked it. It's an action movie. Saw it for my birthday, kinda interested in the other mission impossible movies now. I appreciate the advance tech and the obviously stupid impossible shit.

Oceans 8: Listen, i have never been interested in the Oceans franchise, i dont want to see crusty men steal things, but lads, im gay. Extremely gay, just, shamelessly gay.

The Breadwinner: holy shit that was a good movie.

Secret of the Kells: eh, it was a good movie. Not my favorite, but it was good. I mostly just like the animation.

Mune: Guardian of the Moon: dat was a cute movie, and also i loved Munes Design, he is a little fawn

Operation Finale: Wow, that was an amazing film, absolutely superb. Not at all like the trailers. Seriously, what is it and trailers where everything has to either be an high stakes action movie or a romantic comedy? but this film, spectacular.

The House With A Clock In Its Walls: A Neat little movie. Corny, but i liked it. like, its a kids movie in the same way A Wrinkle In Time is, but this one was little less disney-fied in the way that they needed to have this overarching lesson of empowerment, and more “this is a kids movie to enjoy, like Halloweentown”

Bad times at the El Royale: neat movie, somewhat engaging, kept losing focus at the slow parts... Liked the Chapter title cards... Can't remember who that "important person" was supposed to be.... I think I may have missed it...

Outlaw king: I liked it! Way better than Braveheart! Also.... Cpine was not that naked.... Butt....

Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy: Nice!!! I had been meaning to read the book before I watched the movie, but I've packed my book away soooo, MOVIE. Also out of all thw sci fi movies that have destroyed planets, this is by far the only good one.

Vvitch: it was okay... By the middle I was kinda wishing it would go faster. But it was okay.

Extraordinary Tales: tales based on Edgar Allen Poe and holy sweet Jesus I loved it, it has multiple different art styles per story and I loved them soooooo much!

The Golden Compass: okay but how could you end on that cliffhanger and not at least put out another movie????

Erramentari, the blacksmith and the devil: based on Basque folklore which I know nothing of, but it looked neat. It's also originally in basque but netflix has the English dub over. AND HOLY SWEET JESUS I KNOW THIS MOVIE IS SUPPOSED TO BE SCARY BUT THE VOICE OVERS ARE SO FUCKING FUNNNNNNNNYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!

Dragon heart: I didnt like it, there were better movies I could have seen, I'm not gonna reach for this one again...

The Black Klansman: Damn, I might very well be speechless. That was a Fantastic Movie, came at you like a bag of Bricks, and the ending when it went straight from a cross burning to the 2017 neo nazi rallies, to trumps “good people on both sides” speech, to everything that happened in 2017. The movie did NOT fuck around with anything. God Bless.

The Princess of Thieves: OMG Kiera Knightly as the daughter of robin and also a kick ass archer that causes trouble!!!! Loved it!

First Man: dude that movie was incredible, it read like you were seeing snapshots of his life, not completely invested, but as though you were a spirit looking at memories. I kinda liked it. I loved the silent scenes that filled the viewer with anxiety, like a realization of the gravity of what was happening. Omg. Good film A+

Bohemian Rhapsody: OMG I LOVED IT SO MUCH OMGOMGOMGOMG MY QUEER HEART IS RESTORED AND THEY SAID BISEXUAL!!!!!

What we do in the Shadows: that was an enjoyable movie. I didn't quite like the reality show format but it was funny!

Overlord: That was a great movie! it had decently fast pacing, which is good that it was only an hour and forty-eight minutes long... They Plot-Ex-Machina’d alot of the movie, like the wounded soldier feeling fine for the main firefight, then remembering he was supposed to be wounded all of a sudden. I watched it with a friend who saw one character, turned to me and said “He’s cute, i hope he doesnt die” one (1) second before a landmine went off. Also, Ghouls created by science rather by supernatural means.

For the Love of Spock: -cries like a big baby-

Next Gen: screams of anti-tech ideals... Also.... Damn...... They are channeling the "addiction to iPhones" angle man, like, villianous angle...

Small Foot: Not bad, At least it was a Short movie, or at least it didnt feel like it was dragging on. The Songs were great though, I actually liked them and at least they were written for the movie and not like, a song that already existed...

The Spy who Dumped Me: I rented it through iTunes and it gave some Ukrainian nuts swangin in my face...

The Nun: it was okay, but let maurice theirult be a lesson; u see some creepy haunted shit, you grab a cross and you walk away. You dont go back to play hero, cuz then you get possessed.

Kin: there is a line in the movie that says "you got a decade of bad decisions under your belt" and I feel like that sums of this movies plot points...

Crazy Rich Asians: that was so gooooood! I don't normally go for romcoms, but ppl had been praising the film, and I actually liked it. I'm glad I saw the majong scene explain before I actually watched the scene, because it felt a shit ton more powerful.

Spider-Man, Into the Spiderverse: AMAZING! INCREDIBLE! the animation was TOP NOTCH, like, omg!

A simple favor: I didnt like it... It tried to be both a thriller and what seemed like a parody of a thriller.

Predator, 2018: I kinda liked it, it was a mindless action movie, and the ending left it open for a badass sequal. I havent seen the other predator movies so I have no idea if this is in faith for the series, but im guessing yes.

The Martian: It was cool and chill, I liked it, also Mark Watney cussing out a government agency via a hundred thousand dollar communications outlet is.... Mood.

47 meters down: 2hrs of one woman having an absolute panic attack and being right to worry about sketchy diving boats.

2036 Origin Unknown: kinda what I feel like 2001 a space Oddessey wouldve been like if I had actually watched that movie... Oh shit the Borg!

2001 A Space Oddessey: Have I ever told y'all that I dont like Kubrick or his movies? His movies are the epitome of that pretentious art school boi style that just does too much and tries to pretend it's more than it is and sweet merciful god why is this one 2 and a half hours long! I'm 40 minutes in and I have a head ache from the over ise of classical music and boring slow pace of the movie. 2001 a space Oddessey is 2 and a half hours long and only has 1 hr of actual relevant film... The other 1 1/2 is just unending, weirdly colored space shots, two color inversion shots of planets and eyes, theremin and flute noises, and classical music set to nothingness

RAMPAGE: a 30ft alligator showed up about an hour and 10minutes into the movie and the first reaction was "well that sucks" and it killed me on sight. The movie is awesome! In am so glad I picked this as my last movie of 2018.

What’s Bare?

Hello!

Bare (aka Bare: A Pop Opera or sometimes Bare: A Rock Opera) is a really glorious musical about a group of high school students at a Catholic boarding school. It centers around Peter and Jason, who are roommates (oh my god they were roommates) and a secret, closeted couple. Other characters include Nadia, Jason's snarky but isolated sister, and Ivy, Nadia's roommate and a popular pretty girl that clashes with Nadia and has feelings for Jason.

There's all kinds of school shenanigans, including the students putting on a production of Romeo and Juliet starring Jason and Ivy. There's drama and romance and soooo much fucking angst, and frankly I will warn you because I don't want anyone to get excited and then hurt: this is not a happy story.

All that said though, the characters are AMAZING and complex, and the soundtrack is absolutely brilliant and beautiful. Since it's a pop/rock opera, it's sung all the way through, so you can get the full story just listening to it, which is really neat. 10/10 would recommend. You can listen to the full thing on YouTube or Spotify (you might have to search for it a little on Spotify but I know for a fact there's a playlist of the whole soundtrack on there).

There's also a ton of productions available to watch on YouTube, both amateur/college productions and professional productions. It's never been on Broadway but there's been a number of Prominent productions - I personally STRONGLY recommend the most recent LA production, although I will give a trigger warning for their (entirely idiotic and unnecessary and infuriating) depiction of self harm in one scene.

CAVEAT AND WARNING: THERE IS ALSO BARE: THE MUSICAL. THAT IS THE SHADOW REALM AND YOU MUST NEVER GO THERE. IM SO FUCKING SERIOUS I HATE THE MUSICAL SO MUCH DONT DO IT!!!!! The musical was an off-Broadway rewrite of the show done as a musical with spoken lines and fewer songs rather than a sung-through opera. They cut some of the best songs. They rewrote the remaining ones to be much stupider. They made Matt's actions 100x worse. The lines are corny and terribly written. They decided Nadia being fat and having a complicated relationship with her body wasn't an important plot line and made her a skinny and obnoxious drug dealer instead. They made Sister Chantelle white but still sing an R&B song as her Big Number. They decided Ivy having a relationship with a fucking TEACHER was a GREAT goddamn idea! They decided Nadia and Ivy having tension and complicated feelings about each other only worked if it was because they were fighting over a boy. The costumes are HIDEOUS. Not a single character is genuinely likable. Everything about it is worse which is a goddamn tragedy because the cast included Taylor Trensch, Gerard Canonico, Elizabeth Judd, Barrett Wilbert Weed, Alex Wyse, and like a bunch of other people that have gotten big lately. Rip.

I'm serious though like the musical is wretched and the pop opera is phenomenal please love yourselves.
