every day i am more convinced that my dad has autism
#like wdym you have a hard time socialising because you don't understand it and you have no idea how much eye contact is the right amount#and you have a special interest in rocks and people think you're being weird or catcalling them#when you really just don't know how to do small talk or talk to people you don't know except in a business setting#and you talk too loud w/o realising and you hyperfocus and you were a weird kid and you have a hard time focusing onuninteresting things#and you dislike kids because you don't understand them when they're not your own children#and you talk to like. 5 irl people on a daily basis and you listen to the same playlist over and over and over and over#and you hate shirts that are tight on your neck and you pick all the stitches out of your tags bc you dislike the feel of them#and your own dad probably had autism#WHAT DO YOU MEAN you're totally neurotypical and couldn't have possibly passed any kind of neurodivergence onto me#^ not mad about this lmao just humorously befuddled how he is SO AUTISTIC and still so goddamn misguided#we're actively teaching him to unlearn abelist stuff#luckily he is genuinely a good guy and is doing his best#but jeez louise#that man has the tism and he is so cluelessly convinced he is neurotypical oml#max’s mind#my posts
