as  cruel  fate  would  have  it,  josie's  broadway  dreams  went  unrealized.  she  struggled  with  her  career  post-college,  and  after  a  crisis  that  took  a  toll  on  her  mental  health,  she  made  the  ultimate  decision  to  return  home.

for  the  last  few  years,  josie  has  instead  made  use  of  her  talents  as  the  vocalist  of  redstone  bar's  house  band.  it's  not  exactly  where  she  wants  to  be,  but  it's  something.  she  still  clings  on  to  the  hope  that  she  can  leave  red  creek  again,  but  with  every  day  that  passes,  it  slowly  begins  to  fade.

Thank you so much for writing this! I used to be a server, so not retail but I definitely know the struggle of customer service and being super tired after a shift.

Ahh just the idea of coming home to a nice home cooked meal, and Levi fussing over you and telling you to take care of yourself. It’s so wholesome and comforting. It put me right in that moment and I felt all wrapped up and in love like you described at the very end there!

Sigh… he’s such a good man I loved this so much! 💖

A/N: This is my VERY self-indulgent piece for the ever-amazing @mindninjax’s Domestic Daydream collab! I’ve been wanting to write something for Marquie’s collab since she announced it, but I didn’t know what until literally a few days ago haha! Thank you so much for accepting me into your lovely collab Marquie, and congratulations on your 3.4k followers milestone! I hope you enjoy this little bit of Levi fluff. 

This is heavily inspired by my long days at working in retail, and the struggles that come along with it lol. Sometimes I just want to come home to one (1) Levi Ackerman and be pampered by him, so I wrote a short fic about it! It’s nice to dream, isn’t it? I hope you enjoy!

Everything hurts. Skin sticky with sweat, head pounding with an oncoming headache. Your feet feel like they’ll fall off if you take another step. Your arms and legs are throbbing, and your cheeks and jaw are stiff from smiling all day. 

You raise your head from the steering wheel and glance at the clock on the dashboard. It’s getting pretty late. Might as well head inside so you can scarf down a quick dinner and fall face-first on your bed. 

At least you’re off tomorrow. But the voice in your head does little to comfort you through the pain that spreads throughout your body. 

A yawn fights its way through your lips as you crawl out of your car and grab the shopping bags in the trunk. Every night is the same, more or less. Get out of work—that is, if you manage to leave on time when your shift actually ends—grab some groceries and other essentials, and head on home. 

The porch steps seem to go on forever. Your feet drag against the pavement of the driveway. Keys jingle in the distance, leaving your fingers feeling cold and numb. 

It might rain later, judging by the damp taste of the air around you. 

The moment you step inside your house, you notice something’s off—but not in a bad way. The lights in the living room and kitchen aren’t dark for once. A warm yellow glow bathes your skin from above. Something smells unbelievably good—and your heart soars when you hear a familiar voice fluttering from the kitchen.
