wip wednesday! back again after a week off for global warming migraines. this is more of the feelings part of the porn with feelings. it keeps getting longer, but whatever. THAT'S FINE.

no actual porn in this part, but imma content warn for mention of hook ups with underhanded motives and also subsequent compulsion regarding that. it's douchebag bro revenge stuff, but it's still ehhhhhh. pretty shitty.

"He hasn't been doing anything," she flailed her hands in agitation, unable to think of the exact word she wanted, and finally settling on an unsatisfactory, "hybridy."

"But he has been doing something." It sounded like casual interest, but she'd known Klaus long enough to start to decode the full spectrum of nuance to his most pleasant line deliveries.

"Stupid ex-boyfriend stuff, not supernatural warfare! Look," Caroline said and then stopped to gather her thoughts. She looked around for somewhere to sit, but the sofa wasn't very long, and Klaus was just lanky enough to take up the entire length. So, she folded gracelessly next to his hip. He oofed when she elbowed him in the belly, but scootched over agreeably enough. "Before everything, Tyler was a jerk. A really huge one. But he changed so much when he triggered the curse. It was like the angry part that made him feel like everyone owed him something was gone, and he was just as scared and lost as I had been when I died. I had Stefan helping me." She kept going when Klaus scoffed, talking over him. "But Tyler didn't have anyone at first. For a little while, it felt like we were the only ones who understood each other. A lot happened, but we were friends for the first time, not just two people who'd always known each other."

He looked at her for a long moment, gentling in a way he only managed with any regularity for her and, very occasionally, Rebekah, and admitted, "I know."

"Right." Caroline looked away, uncomfortable with the reminder that Klaus had sire-bonded her entire relationship with Tyler out of him before he'd realized he was unable to refuse. "I assumed all of the jerk stuff went away, but I guess it was just dormant until now."

Klaus looked very much like he wanted to argue with that point as well, but exercised a seldom-used ability to read the room. "So, he isn't doing anything threatening, but he is being...uncouth with you."

"Uncouth? Really?" She laughed sadly and shrugged. "I guess he is, yeah. It's embarrassing. Mostly for him, but a little bit for me, too. Rebekah's been taking care of it. Not that I wanted her to, but there's no stopping her when she decides she's offended."

"He offended her?"

There was no part of her that wanted to continue, but she knew he'd get it out of someone eventually. Rebekah's willingness to keep him out of the loop had done a lot for their friendship, but Caroline doubted the other woman wouldn't spill if he asked her outright.

"Do not get involved, okay? I mean it. The two of you need to stay the hell away from each other." She swept up her hair, arranging it precisely over her shoulder, and twirled the curls around her fingers, glancing around the room without landing on anything for long. “He’s been hooking up with girls on my floor. And in my classes. And random girls I’ve met, who seemed fun. I think he was trying to make me jealous at first, but when he realized I just thought he was being skeezy, he started telling them he couldn’t see them again, because they knew me. Suddenly, I’m the hosebeast ex-girlfriend, standing in the way of true love, with no potential friends, because he’s poisoned the well.”

Klaus caught her fingers as they pulled on her hair a little bit too hard, tugged her hand down and cupped it with his own, running his thumb in soft strokes over her knuckles. “I’m sorry.”

“Oh, shut up. You are not.”

“I,” he pursed his lips in thought before carefully answering, “dislike seeing you in pain.”

Caroline was trapped by the way he looked at her, like he was begging her to believe his sincerity. As often as Klaus was the architect of his own suffering, and as well as he'd seemed able to ford her river of brutal rejection, she knew the times she'd hurt him the most were when he'd dropped the charm, but she'd still doubted him.

She didn't anymore. He'd been a warm and mildly flirty companion all summer, seemingly content enough in her willing company without pushing for more. It made it easier to blurt out the truth.

"Rebekah's been compelling everyone he sleeps with to think he's really bad in bed. Like under a minute and then," she ended the sentence by tilting her head, shutting her eyes, and snoring.

Klaus stared at her, wide-eyed, his lips pressed together in a deliberate frown.

"Don't laugh," she insisted and his composure broke. It was infectious, his giggle. She'd always felt guilty about how easy it was to laugh with him.

"No! No, don't. She shouldn't be," Caroline complained, helplessly trying to hold onto her composure. "Compulsion shouldn't be used for--"

"Is it working?" he asked, still grinning at her.

"Yes," she reluctantly admitted. "I'm pretty sure she threatened him with something else, too, but she won't tell me, and I don't want to talk to him."

"I'm going to let you in on a little secret."

"Not this again."

"Tyler is a wolf, sweetheart," Klaus insisted. "We're stubborn creatures. He isn't going to let it go unless someone makes him. Surely, Rebekah's methods are preferable to my own?"

unsure if ive ever put this out into the void but there needs to be an umbrella academy au of IT. Like were the characters of IT are lowkey the umbrellies (without the raised as siblings bit)

Richie- Klaus. (The energy, the most comedic character)

Eddie- Viktor. (Repression much)

Stan-Ben (gone too soon)

Bill- Luther (team leader)

Mike- Five (pulls them all together, cryptic af, stuck in time)

Ben- Diego (self-worth issues lets be real)

Bev- (desperately chasing a future that's not possible)

Ok so I started watching The Umbrella Academy last night and since theres 7 of them and 7 of the losers I thought I’d share my opinions on which characters are most alike xx

1. Luther = Bill

2. Diego = Stan

3. Allison = Bev

4. Klaus = Richie

5. Five = Eddie

6. Ben = Ben (lol)

7. Vanya = Mike

I’ve only seen the first 3 episodes btw so these opinions could definitely change later on!

Mystery Kids as the Hashira from Demon Slayer!

I was brainstorming about different ideas and I thought of this and how fun the scenarios could be. So I might do it once I get a better grasp on the story of Demon Slayer as well as the characters. I know each character’s backstories but I’d rather know more about the world building before I write an au or crossover.

Anyways, on to the topic of why exactly you clicked on this post;

Gyomei (The Stone Hashira):

Now this one is a tough one to start with. There’s not very many characters from my AU of Mystery Kids that are like him. But if you guys have any ideas or suggestions let me know!

(I do love Gyomei however which is why I hate leaving him without a counterpart.)

Tengen (The Sound Hashira):

This one is difficult too but a lot easier than Gyomei. I’d nominate Eddie Munson first lacking any better options then I’d consider Steve Harrington or literally any other remotely flirty character.

Regardless, I’m open to suggestions for him as well!

Kyojuro (The Flame Hashira):

Rengoku is a force of nature. He gets put through the wringer and he just keeps on going. I love him for that and even more after Mugen Train. He’s eternally optimistic and you don’t see that a lot in any characters really. Which is why his spot as the Flame Hashira in my opinion would be given to none other than Enid Sinclair.

She’s very similar to him in her ideals and how she sees the world. She’s also an incredible fighter when she needs to be and when it matters most.

Sanemi (The Wind Hashira):

I know Sanemi gets a lot of flack for being extremely violently over the top towards Nezuko in the beginning and towards everyone else. But I honestly understand why he is the way he is. He lost people that were important to him and he’s in a profession fighting the very things that took those people away.

I think his widespread dislike among the fandom is why I’d give a more beloved character his spot. So his spot would go to Wednesday Addams.

Giyu (The Water Hashira):

I adore Giyu! He has a character trope you often see portrayed in differing types of media. He blames himself for tragic things out of his control. Which is why there are so many good options for him! I considered Dipper Pines, Bill Denbrough, or Mike Wheeler.

Let me know who you think would be the best option!

Mitsuri (The Love Hashira):

I think a lot of people misinterpret Mitsuri. Most viewers’ first impressions of her are that she’s boy crazy. Which is a common occurance with Mabel Pines as well (even though Mabel actually is for the majority of the story). Despite this, I think she’d be perfect for the role given her character development.

And also, the aesthetics totally match up.

Muichiro (The Mist Hashira):

First off, he’s my favorite so I’m going to gush about him as much as I can without sobbing. Before he gets to know Tanjiro, he’s disconnected from himself and his past. But as he and Tanjiro learn from one another, his memories are reintroduced to him and he slowly becomes himself again. I understand both perspectives in this arc which is why I’d give Norman Babcock this position.

They not only share an MBTI type but also similar demeanors and ideals. They’re both very kind hearted, seemingly harsh on the outside and enjoy being around certain people rather than large groups. It’s a perfect fit!

Obanai (The Snake Hashira):

(MARRY ME OBANAI) Who said that? Anywho, this man is scary but secretly gentle. He’s been through way too much for one person to handle. Despite this, he is still motivated to pursue his career and interest in Mitsuri. While he is scary, I think he should be given a less scary character to take his place. This would be either Klaus Baudelaire or Stanley Uris.

Those options are really funny in hindsight because I also fell for those two. But they are very similar. They often close themselves off and try to solve problems on their own which often gets them into trouble. So I think either of them would be a good fit as the Snake Hashira.

Shinobu (The Insect Hashira):

(Everybody make some noise for the one, the only-SHINOBU KOCHO!!! Aka my second favorite!!) Now, as a Laika kid by nature and by heart I’d have to give her spot to Coraline. Nobody truly matches the position quite like she does. She doesn’t let anyone define her worth let alone manipulate her.

And while most people believe Shinobu to be quite smart, she was much of an airhead before the events of the series and Coraline isn’t entirely bright either. Neither of them are stupid by any means but I believe it’s a common phase in people who grow stronger in intelligence and bravery over time.

How do I even articulate this?

Basically I continue to think Klaus is very fucked up but not in the same way that 90 percent of the fandom seems to think (or prefer) and it is the WEIRDEST experience. I'm just constantly like, "oh yeah, I guess that IS how most fans perceive this character."
