Hey everyone! this is where the zebra is currently with the design.

It has knee braces!! I will most probably be drawing the zebra usually with them on, but it’s no requirement, for example if anyone else wants to draw the zebra :-]. I always like to make sure an animal design has official colors underneath any clothing and accessory anyway. I think this will be final! thank you everyone for your feedback!

As a reminder, aside from why the zebra was requested for this flag, this is also just a zebra with the disability pride flag on it. It’s just a deisgn to fit the flag, with input from other disabled people in our community. It doesn’t mean other animals can’t have designs with these colors, too! I don’t mean this design to be the only mascot for all disabled people. It’s just a silly series i do of pride animals, and at the time, during disability pride month, I wanted to see what everyone wanted me to start off with for this flag!

This has just been on my mind recently, but if you’re of the opinion that all men are horrible and evil except trans men, you should probably rethink your views.

Cause ‘these people, grouped by a thing they can’t control, are inherently evil. Except for a few of them, they’re the good ones’ is definitely not a good mindset to have.

Like yeah, guys can be shitty, but it not something in our genetics that makes us shitty. Shitty guys are shitty cause they suck, not cause they’re guys. Y’all are reinforcing the us vs them mindset and making people feel like shit cause of their gender.

And I’m not sure the trans guys are too happy with it either, cause saying they’re the exception cause they’re trans shows that y’all don’t really see them as dudes. Like, seriously. Why are they the exception? Give me a reason. Why feel the need to separate them just because they’re trans?

This kind of goes hand-in-hand with how often I’ll see people urging others not to be crazy misandrist, and the only thing they have to say to back up why misandry is wrong is that “you’re hurting trans men too.”

And yeah, it absolutely sucks that trans guys are getting this kind of treatment. But it feels like y’all see trans dudes as the helpless innocents stuck in the crossfire as the good women fight the evil men. Feels like y’all wouldn’t even care about how this is affecting people if the trans guys weren’t affected too.

It just leaves a bitter taste in my mouth, you know?

I don't think I posted about it here before BUT I'm getting top surgery this year!!!! Just a few days after my birthday in July. So so happy I decided to do this, I've thought about it every day since I was about fourteen and I cannot wait to go swimming with a flat chest :)))

we saw an enormous giant water bug in the parking lot tonight while walking the dogs and i didnt know you could find them Here much less so far away from any facking water now im terrified.

I feel like when i was a kid and got scared after watching jurassic park bc i thought there'd be a raptor behind every door like I don't want to go to the bathroom rn at 4 am what if the water bug is There.

That's kind of how I started with it too! It's been so long that I barely remember but when I eventually ended up fully telling them, they said they had already known lol. Which I think means my hints were being picked up on.

You just gotta tell yourself that G/t is just a trope. It's just another interest that people can have, it's not anything weird. And if that's how you act when you tell people, then they'll see that too.
