Writing Projects Updates

I said I would try to keep this place updated about my writing and I’m sticking to it.

Fanfics:

First off, the Catradora Paint Me Your Color series is going to get two additional installments. They weren’t originally planned but you can thank Nonny and Rambler on AO3 for their conception. I swear, this thing has taken on a life of its own...

For anyone wondering if there will be more to the Catradora Dirty Dancing Universe series: yes. My brain is just playing the “Ooh, Shiny” game right now so I’m a bit all over the place but I still have some ideas I want to touch on there.

And this one is going out of my tiniest crowd of readers, my pokemon mystery dungeon fanfic Holding On is still going to see some updates. Reading and seeing long-running Catradora fanfics like The Devil Is In (The Details) and For My Sake are great motivators to see it to the end.

Original Writing:

I have been trying to focus more on my original work, still having a far off dream of publishing and selling my writing. The goal has been keeping me sane and making me feel like there’s something worth working towards in life. They’re a little all over the place so I’ll just touch on the big ones.

The novel that I hope to self publish has a ton of pages that needs to be transferred from my notebooks to my computer, which is an extremely daunting task by itself since A: my handwriting is tiny and B: my eyesight is awful. But I’m determined to see it through. The pages need to be transferred and then the POV has to be changed from 1st person to 3rd person. When I first started, I was all for the 1st person point-of-view, but after writing so much 3rd person, it’s becoming a preferred style and it’s too difficult to push on with the 1st person. So that’s happening.

This one I am definitely going to hell for and I call it The Unholy Anthology: a book of smut and shame where some of my most questionable ideas are going to go down. I think I might wanna just post that one online because I don’t think I’m ready for the world to purchase my twisted my head can be. I dunno, I’ll finish it first and then see where I want it after.

With all that said, here’s a list of my current works that are still in progress in order of being mentioned.

Paint Me Your Color (fanfic, catradora): A painter/skateboarder AU where Adora is an artist who’s become obsessed with drawing and painting Catra. The two have a shaky start but has evolved into an artist and model relationship where Catra has grown to love the idea of Adora painting her as something beautiful. Take Catra’s praise-kink and turn it into something visual.

Dirty Dancing Universe (fanfic, catradora): Both Adora and Catra both grew up in the same foster home, going to the same dance school and explored the different shapes of dancing together. But when Adora gets a full-ride scholarship to attend Bright Moon’s dance academy, they two are separated. Three years later, the two are reunited and reconnected through their passion for dancing. The subsequent oneshots after the main story explores events from their past and their future. 

Project: GAIA (original, sci-fi lesbian romance): Centuries after the Earth’s decay, humanity has taken to the stars to escape total extinction. The Scientists for the Longevity of Humanity (SFTLOH) are tasked with finding a solution that will take them from drifting through the cosmos to a new planet to call home. Their main project is the GAIA project, a creature that can shape a planet’s structure and atmosphere to fit humanity’s needs (basically making a second Earth). One of the last remaining scientist on one of the vessel’s tasked for focus on Project: GAIA succeeds but finds herself too attached to give her up. Now many years later after that final scientist’s passing, a scavenger ship finds the product of Project: GAIA, a feminine plant-based creature naive to the universe outside her home, and the captain decides to take her with them.

The Unholy Anthology (original, shameless smut lesbian romance): There are several stories to this so I’m going to just list those out. - Break the Mold: An omegaverse romance taking place in a female-only village between two ex-childhood friends that drifted apart due to the village’s misconception and held belief that omegas can drive the most honorable and moral person mad. Warning: contains omega on alpha rape and goes by the futanari interpretation of omegaverse female anatomy. - F*ck Me Up: An underground informant that gets off on the act of having her favorite client dominating her into submission. Warning: contains bartering information for “favors” and S&M - The Last Ride Home: On the last train ride home, a girl has a run-in with a molester that brings to life her wildest fantasies. Warning: contains public sex and exhibitionism - Livin’ Like a Rock Star: After her band’s performance, a bassist seeks out her girlfriend for some much-needed relief after their gig. - Birthday Licks: As a late-night birthday present, a domineering girlfriend decides to give up her usual role for the night and lets her lover dominate her instead. Warning: contains BDSM
