Continuing on from this, the two of you had very very long conversations with like a million different people who worked for SM

Things seemed bleak for a while, but eventually the company decided that they were okay with the pregnancy

It was decided all round that you’d keep the pregnancy quiet for as long as possible

Overall it was a fairly nice pregnancy

The other NCT members treated you almost like you were made of glass

All of the younger members are in awe of their Johnny,, like he’s a DAD

Obviously Johnny is really close w the exo members so they would talk a lot ab your pregnancy as well

You got lots of advice from jongdae lol

Anyway everyone would just like hold open the door for you and help you stand up and everyone would just watch you walking around to make sure u were safe n that

As your stomach grows, Johnny becomes more and more doting of you

Does anything and everything you ask him to

A lot of your time is spent in the SM building, either sat on a couch cradling your stomach in the recording studio or hovering around the practice rooms looking for either your boyfriend or some other idol you were friendly with

At around 5 months you found out it was a boy

You cried lmao all you could do was picture a tiny Johnny and it made ur heart EXPLODEEE

When you reached six months you decided that you were ready to reveal it to everybody

Johnny did one of those staple sm handwritten letters explaining that you were expecting ur baby

And despite all of the worrying you had done for the past several months everyone was very very supportive !!

Naturally ur identity was hidden from the public

But yeah there were obviously a few antis being awful but it was drowned out by the nice messages !!

Omg I forgot to mention JOHNNY’S MOTHER WAS SO EXCITED

Her first grandchild,,, lil Jude

She would just call you all the time and be like ‘how are you? Are you ok? Have you eaten? Have u had something to drink?’ And you’d be like of course I haveee

Johnny loved ur bump loved loved loved it he would keep his hand on it as you slept

Also you liked to talk to mark & ten as well as Johnny ab your anxieties,,,,,, they were very supportive of you. And it made u feel a lot better

BUT YEAH Jude Suh made his appearance nearly a week late in late October

He was massive

Like 8lbs but he’s Johnnys son so ur not really sure what you expected

And Johnny was in lov he was SO HAPPY he loved his lil baby boy

He posted a pic of his hand online and everyone went mad

Other than that you kept Jude fairly shielded from the public

But that being said… hear me out JCC dad and son day together (Judes face was mostly blurred but nctzens loved it anyway)

Anyways

He was quite an easy baby

He didn’t cry too long and slept through the night most nights

The members loved him,, he was the first NCT baby so

Taeyong felt almost like a granddad lol

Jisung also very shyly presented you with a gift box he put together w Chenle that had like a shit ton of baby clothes in,, he got very embarrassed when you hugged him

Anyway time for older Jude

Very very very energetic toddler

One year Johnny brings you both on tour with him to America

Jude is initially very confused but loves it

Gives him a chance to flex his English skills in front of his uncles

Each venue gets him so excited he just runs around on the stage and in the corridors all day

Haechan chases him around

Sometimes you take him out sightseeing during the day depending on the city

You didn’t watch the concert every night as well, but on the nights you did you’d put those big ass noise blocker headphones on Jude and you’d have a lil sing and dance together and you’d be like ‘look there’s daddy!’ And he’d be like ‘why is he so far away’ :(

And after the show Jude would just rocket towards Johnny and give him the biggest hug

And Johnny would lift him up and just be like,, ‘you’re getting heavy little man,, you’re not so little anymore’

But Jude doesn’t pay attention and he’s like ‘daddy you danced good !!’

I can totally see Johnny posting the photo you took of them from behind (so u can’t see jude’s face ffff) onto his instagram

And then you’d visit johnny’s parents in Chicago and they give Jude lots and lots of cuddles they just lov him

Johnny takes all of u to his fave places in Chicago and also u go to the bean!! And Jude is very confused and just sort of like stares at his weird and distorted reflection like ????

ANYWAYS your favourite thing is to watch Jude grow and change over time

You can literally always see him growing and changing and learning new things and you LOV IT

When Jude is like 6-7 you and Johnny both agree that you do want another baby at some point

So u come off whatever form of birth control ur on <33

And then

Jude is 9 years old when u become pregnant again

You kind of plan it…? Sort of?

Anyway you tell Johnny basically immediately this time

Of course he’s not mad he’s so excited

Obviously he grew up without siblings so he’s so excited Jude will have one !!

You find that you feel a lot sicker than you did last time but ur not sure if u just forgot what it was like last time or something

But you get the biggest shock when you go for ur first scan and they tell u that there’s two whole babies in there

Ur like,,, Johnny Suh why have u done this to me

And johnny’s like a mess because Jude now has TWO SIBBERS

He also silently hoped for a girl

Obviously nct are a bit older now so its not so out of the ordinary that they’re staring to pop out kids now

Omg ive just come to the real life realisation that if all of the nct members have kids and on average people have 2.5 kids there’s gonna be like 40+ kids. Probably over 50 if some of them have 3. What the fuck I don’t know what to do with this information

ANYWAY because of this your pregnancy isn’t as like secluded as the last one

Once you hit 12 weeks you start telling people and everyone is super excited for ur twins

At another scan u find out that they’re both girls

For personal reasons Johnny passes away

Not literally lol

But on the inside

Hes so EXCITED

He picks their names

He tells you that they don’t really have any meaning he just likes them

Calls Verity ‘Vevvy’

You’re not sure why but its cute

A lot of times during ur pregnancy he’d come home and you would just be chilling in one of his oversized shirts with your large bump spilling out of it and he’d just watch you in awe like those! Are my favourite girls!

Anyways the twins are very very active

They won’t stop kicking and you get tired of it very quickly

It irritates you to no end because you just want them to calm down mayhaps but they don’t

Johnny tries to calm them down for you but it’s quite hard because they’re foetuses and they do not understand yk

What the fuck am I even talking about

Anyway Verity and Katie were spring babies

They were born about four weeks early

Verity was born first (you had them vaginally)

She was whisked away before Johnny could even see her but soon enough Katie made her appearance

They were wrapped in little pink blankets and had the cutest lil stripy hats

They were a bit small obviously, like 5lbs 11oz each

And identical !!

And Johnny fell so in love again

He’s obsessed w his little girls

Verity and Katie are literal besties btw

When they’re babies they often cried because they thought the other one wasn’t there or that they just wanted to be together

This carried on to when they were toddlers and kids

When they were tiny Johnny learned how to plait hair (he practised on you, much to your dismay)

So by the time they were in school Johnny could do their hair very well, as much as he tugged on their hair occasionally or mismatched hair tie colours

The twins really really loved nature,, you have no idea where they got this from but they just thrived in it

Sometimes, when you had time, you’d drive out to the countryside and make flower chains for each other

Or go swimming in the lakes in summer

And just run around the fields making up stories together

Verity was much quieter than Katie

Much more thoughtful as well

…. but then you started getting sick

At first you just thought it was like a bug or something but then boom missed period

And u were like…. Surely not

Verity & Katie were five at this point, Jude was 14 nearly 15

So at first u were like oh dear

How is Johnny going to react?

You didn’t know just how against he may be about having another baby

You began subtly dropping hints over the next couple of weeks, but he doesn’t really catch on

Like you randomly put bread in the oven with no explanation and he kind of just furrows his eyebrows and ignores it

Eventually you just cave and tell him

‘John… I’m pregnant again.’

You think his eyes genuinely pop out of his skull he’s like 👁👄👁

‘Really?’

‘Yeah…’

‘Oh my god that’s amazing!’

‘…you’re not mad?’

‘No, of course not… obviously it was a surprise but I’m not angry at you at all.’

‘I thought you didn’t want another baby…’

‘I never said that,’ he chuckles, ‘I said three was a nice number, and that id be happy with three. But id also be happy with four.’

Anyway your pregnancy isn’t that bad!!

Jude is obviously big angsty teen at this point but he’s very happy to have a new sibling! He always just asks how u are and if ur feeling okay or if you need anything

Verity and Katie kind of don’t understand but they like feeling the baby kick and stuff

You decide this time that you’re going to wait to find out the gender bc its ur final pregnancy and idk its just exciting !!

Overall the biggest problem u have is your back pain

You just know this baby is gonna be big asf just like Jude

In contrast to all ur other babies, Connor barely kicks

Sometimes ur like?? Uhh? Is he still in there?? and then he’ll kick ur bladder so hard u pee

And ur just like ffs why

Eventually after what felt like a very quick pregnancy

You give birth to a boy !!

And ur like omg <33 two girls and two boys !!

And then ur like omg I have so many kids how

When you take him home the other three kids are all over him

Jude steps back to let Verity and Katie suss him out

And your family just felt complete

More Funny Little Moments #1: Season 1, Episodes 1-12

So, I decided to do this post after all. Halp. LOL Because I apparently LOVE giving myself a bunch of unnecessary work, I decided to choose two to three extra moments, per episode! SUPER halp! X’D Anyway, these are moments that didn’t make the cut for my FFLM series because: my sense of humor is a little weird, they were gonna be too much work (LOL/Siiigh), I like to highlight patterns, and I don’t like a lot of repetition. [Links to each FFLM along the bottom of the post. :)]

Let’s start with something I originally agreed with other fans on but have since changed my mind. A lot of people didn’t like this part of “Chariots of War” because it seems so ludicrous that Xena would forget her chakram anywhere. Well, let me tell you! This lady has left her weapons behind most episodes thus far. I didn’t note it every time here (and especially didn’t bother with her whip) because that’d really overrun the post buuuuut… You’ll see. XD

1.01 Sins of the Past

Xena’s shift being so much dirtier than the little boy’s clothes though she’s high up off the ground, and he lives in smoked-out rubble.

Yup. Xena forgot her sword (and later, her main saddlebag) at her mother’s tavern. Pft.

Sorry these were kinda lame, but I didn’t want to re-use any more of the original fifteen points I made about this episode... Ah well. Moving on! (heh)

1.02 Chariots of War

Xena loses her sword after the chariot crash, taking up and discarding Sphaerus’s but walking off without her own. (See her front and back and both of Argo’s sides.)

1.03 Dreamworker

This got me good. Gabrielle does Xena’s war cry so well here that I really thought it was Xena for a few seconds. Realizing it was GabbyWabs only made me chuckle more because she apparently can’t do it when it really counts in “The Greater Good.”

Argo NOT being on Team Gabrielle. XD (Their feud is a little funny to me.)

1.04 Cradle of Hope

Xena tossing aside her sword after killing Nemos. Extras even dance and celebrate right on top of it! Wut thuh?

I decided to avoid mentioning Hope in the FFLM because Xena’s quote here is more ironic than comedic, and Gabrielle’s little face is just so sad, but I didn’t want to let it pass by entirely unremarked upon. At least GW gets to show off her oracle skills again? :’)

1.05 The Path Not Taken

So, Xena and Gabrielle walk into a bar… Heh. No, but really, they enter this tavern for the first time ever, yet the bartender not only knows what they want, he knows that they’re coming and has their drinks waiting for them too. All Xena has to do is knock on the counter and nod to get her fire-breath alcohol/oil, and Gabrielle barely has the word “cider” out of her mouth before the guy hands it to her. Xena, like me, is duly amazed.

Lucy, through Xena, making another timely anti-peanut statement. I just didn’t want to do the same thing twice back-to-back in the FFLM. X)

1.06 The Reckoning

Gabrielle thinking along the same lines Xena and I did about this poor excuse for a judge.

Me not being well-versed in ancient Greek heroes and picturing the fool who Draco killed so handily in the first episode. heh

1.07 The Titans

I’ll let Xena explain this one. …Mostly. I can’t believe Gabrielle not only sassed the Titans such that she unashamedly put Xena and Phyleus in danger too, but also kinda got this (admittedly awful) town demolished and didn’t lift a finger to actually help anyone in the temple. Tsk tsk. XP

So… Hyperion here can smash homes and businesses that were probably well-built and reinforced and all, but he can’t get his hand out of a stocks-cuff that was made in a single evening with scraps from those destroyed buildings. He also, inexplicably, has no use of his left hand or the power-breath that he used to knock Gabrielle over. Okie. XD

1.08 Prometheus

Is this really a thing? I was giggling quite a bit in disbelief that severed windpipes can heal. Like, perforated is one thing; completely bisected? Yeah, I don’t think so.

Gabrielle being incredulous upon learning that Xena has other friends, realizing what the warrior princess means, and then wondering if that could be her one day. 

   1.09 Death in Chains

Gabrielle enjoying watching Xena kill someone for the first time, then quickly realizing that fact. Whoops.

I found this moment really odd and then kind of hilarious. This poor dying old woman begs for water and goes ignored not only by the hospice workers, but also Talus and Gabrielle. Then Talus decides to be helpful. Gabrielle goes to the woman and lets her talk a lot (undoubtedly drying her mouth and throat even more), hears that Xena might be in danger, and then just… leaves. Talus goes with her, not having gotten water from the well after all. What a couple of jerks! XD

1.10 Hooves & Harlots

I really don’t know why Gabrielle kept making this face as Terreis died, but it tickled my funny bone too. So, I provided alternate subs to go with it. [Did you notice how she kind of cringes when Terreis tries to hold her hand and then just lets the Amazon flop once she’s died, flinging her hand aside like, “Ew, get it off me!”? What was that all about? X”) Hm… maybe she has an aversion to dying people, and that’s why she abandoned the old lady last episode?]

Gabrielle being a smart aleck, just like me, because Phantes’s complaint here is so ludicrous. But then you see the close-up of little hoofies in cuffs too, and, if you’re anything like me too, kinda just topple over laughing. The poor actual horse they did this to, though, man! What even?

Gosh, this episode was chockfull of hilarity, eh? Why did this happen? Gabby, take it away!

1.11 The Black Wolf

I laughed at this too. But now I wonder. Is Xerxes related to Caesar and/or connected to Rome or something? Because Xena does this twice around them too. In “When in Rome,” she jokes that the two guards lost playing tag with her, and in “A Good Day” she informs Pompey that if there were more guards hiding around their meeting space, then she would have had more helmets. heh Oh, Xenie. I think I know why Gabrielle’s turning out to be such a little punk ...or vice versa? Is Gabrielle actually a bit of a bad influence on Xena? XP

So, this fight just struck me as really odd. Xena passes her sword to Flora though she (Xena) needs to battle the big boss of the episode, and… actually, is totally right. The king throws a single wide-ass punch, waits while Xena kicks the guy behind her a few times, lets himself get kicked in the face a couple of times, and then comes at her with a little piece of chain, presumably from the restraints that were intended to keep Flora in place during her execution. Sir, you have a sword! A giant sword, right there on your hip! What are you doing? Then, when Xena kicks him a final time and sends him flying, his (supposed-to-be) metal armor is no match for the splintered wood of the axe she broke earlier. …Okie. XD XD XD   *gif below*

Xena once again leaves her chakram somewhere. …And I am now imagining this being part of Gabrielle’s maid duties: the poor kid has to go find Xena’s weapons each night and bring them back to her. I’m especially imaging the fluffball hilariously, adorably struggling to get the chakram out of things like this wall, as she did with Xena’s sword in the tree stump in “Dreamworker,” but more parallel to the floor. Cuuuute! XD

1.12 Beware Greeks Bearing Gifts

This scene too really made me wonder, though amused as well. Why is Gabrielle so surprised that the only city nearby, that they were headed to, is the one they find? Is she really being that loud? Is Xena goofing around with the bootlaces question? Why startle Gabrielle and then yank her into enemy territory screaming, when what you want is quiet? What’s with the trapdoor-spider soldiers? Xena’s pose throwing the chakram. XD Gabrielle mostly featherlight dance-y moves through the battlefield. XD XD XD Why is it that when Xena tells Gabrielle to stick right behind her, Gabrielle disappears? And what was with the bucket-sitting soldier? Gabrielle is like, “Oh; no, thank you!” when she sees him and turns tail. Then Xena ...follows her. “We’re goin’ this way! Now we’re goin’ that way!” But they still end up dead-ahead from where they burst out of the bushes. XD That was ridiculous and nonsensical, and I’m very confused but had lots of fun. heheheh  *gif below* [ETA: Darn! The original file was too big, so I had to remake the GIF and cut quite a few things out. :( Sorry]

Xena’s outta-nowhere crusade to emasculate Deiphobus coming full-circle. What was that all about?

i would have said too heavy, a fic where anders mourns his lover hawke that was left in the fade, but i'm actually planning a sequel that will make it happier, so technically it won't really be ... i'd therefore say where fate led them, because two lovers breaking up is one thing, but breaking up by one person blowing up the other's airship and then ending up in a quickdraw duel with them where one kills the other is a whole other level.

What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?

i don't really count my one-shots because the smutty ones naturally have a happy ending of sorts (hurr hurr hurr) but of my multi-chapter fics ... i'd probably say dark legacy. marane loses some of her brotherhood brethren but she exacts vengeance for them in the dread father's name, kills the emperor of cyrodiil (and gets all the fame and notoriety that goes along with that), gets a whole new sanctuary, and basically gets to rebuild the dark brotherhood from the ground up in the night mother's image. plus a new lover in the form of cicero. is there anything else a good listener needs?

Do you write crossovers? If so what is the craziest one you’ve written?

do modern characters in fandom worlds count? lol if not then no, i don't think i have yet. yet being the operative word, because i do have things planned. but i have a lot of things planned, so.

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

i did once, but it wasn't really bad and i'm not sure i would classify it as hate. basically someone read part two of a series and lamented certain things in that story that are also present in the first story and are just clearly a part of the series aesthetic. i get it, it's not for everyone. not sure why they felt the need to read 160k of posted work before saying so, but to each their own. i do think i circumvent hate comments by requiring folks to be signed in to leave one. i'm sure i probably miss out on comments by guests, but for my mental health's sake, i'd rather leave it to logged in users only. put your money where your mouth is ... or, in this case, your account.

Do you write smut? If so what kind?

oh yes, i write quite a lot of it, too, and in a good variety! from vanilla to kinky to even dangerous (and appropriately tagged).

honestly, at this point, it's unfortunately one i felt very passionate about: angel, interrupted. i had started slowly writing it and building up this au when the poor quality of the show just began wearing on me and the fandom in general wore on me even further until i've ... kinda just fallen out of love with it. :/ i don't hate it, not at all, i guess i just need more time and separation from the bullshit. at least i hope that'll help. i truly do want to finish it, i just feel absolutely no drive to do so right now.

in general? star wars. that i posted on ao3? harry potter.

What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

it feels like i keep harping on this one lol but the path we choose is just one i'm so, so proud of. the examination of guilt and regret in the form of a one-shot set against the mojave, with the courier discussing their issues and joshua graham offering support and comfort. one of my friends called joshua (in this fic) a shepard rather than a hand of vengeance, and i really do like writing him that way. plus zelda needs all the help she can get lol and really, we all do.

Emotions... So Many emotions...

Being a new mother was hard, and by no means did you expect it to be easy. Still nothing could have prepared you for the rollercoaster of emotions that seemed to be crashing into you with every other hour that clicked by on the clock.

At first it was joy, and happiness that you had even felt before. The excitement of bringing a new life into the world with the love of your life, then it was the happiness of bringing that new life home for the first time.

All that work you had put into setting up a nursery, organizing and planning, it had all gone down the drain pretty quickly.

You discovered that there was no 'game plan' in taking care of a newborn, and you had to adjust pretty quickly to rolling with the punches.

Joy turned to exhaustion, with long nights of staying up with a colicy newborn baby, and long days alone nursing while Jensen was working long hours filming. No other adult interaction, and no help. Just you and your baby...

Exhaustion turned into frustration, which only…. No that's not right...

Exhaustion turned into relief, which later turned into flustation...

You daughter had been crying for three hours straight. Nothing you did seemed to satisfy her. Nursing didn't work. You tired things like gripe water, and other colic relief methods that you googled online. You tried rocking her down for a nap, walking and bouncing across the floor. Singing. Nothing seemed to be doing the trick, and your daughter just kept crying...

Then Jensen walked in, coming through the door, and taking your daughter from your tired arms, and started rocking her and singing to her... 

Just like that the crying stopped, and relief flooded you...

Even though Jensen had worked an almost 14 hour shift, he told you to go and take a nice long bath, and if he needed you he'd call for you. To 'take a minute for some me time'. Which you gladly did...

One week…. 

That's how long it took the frustration to set in...

It seemed like Jensen just had the magic touch. There was no other way to put it. 

Whether it was late at night, or whether it was mid day. She could be screaming to the top of her extremely healthy little lungs, everything you tried to do failed at your feet, but as soon as she was in his arms, she stopped...

They always talked about this 'maternal instinct' that would kick in, and about the bonding of a mom and her newborn in the first few weeks of life, how magical it was...

You got to experience none of that, maybe you were born with a maternal switch missing, maybe there was something wrong with you.

Why did Jensen seem better at parenting than you?

As the weeks drug on to months, the only thing changed was that the preference of your daughter was absolutely her daddy, and not you..

He got the first smile…. 

He got the first laugh…..

He got the first word!! Dada! She still had yet to say mom, or mama…. 

Everyone assured you that it was just early, and that you were doing everything right. Dada was just easy to say, and that she didn't even really know what she was saying, just mimicking sounds..

Gen swore it was his voice that she found so soothing, and you could understand that, because you found it soothing to when nothing else was, but you still felt left out. 

Like he had some bond with your child that should have been yours...

What made it all even worse was the fact that you were having a hard time keeping up with everything in the house. 

Laundry was piling up, the kitchen was never clean enough, dinner was hitting the table later and later.. 

You forgot to pick up the one thing that Jensen asked you to pick up for him from the grocery store today, because as soon as you got there your daughter had the biggest blow out diaper of her life, and you had to change it. 

You had forgotten to pack enough diapers because you didn't think you were going to be there that long, and now she only had the one you changed her into, so you felt like you had to rush.. In case it happened again… 

Totally forgetting what Jensen needed you to pick up...

Then there was the fact that the two of you were having sex less and less. You were just so tired by the time you went to bed at night, that you just weren't in the mood. It wasn't that you loved him any less, because he was your everything, but you just were physically exhausted, and you felt overwhelmed. Like everything was piling up and it was just.... Too much...

Tonight was the biggest fight you had ever had as a couple...

When dinner was finally served... an hour late... and he'd bathed your little girl for you so that you could get caught up on folding some clothes, he'd come into the bedroom and suggested that maybe he should hire a housekeeper to help you keep up with the house...

That stung… Even though it shouldn’t have….

Did he think you were failing now as a wife... as a partner....

In your offense you had jumped down his throat.. 

Your words ring in your ears. Stinging at you the way that they had at him...

"Why? Why do you think you need to hire a maid Jensen... What, is the dinner not out fast enough for you? Is the house not clean enough for your liking? I don't need some stranger coming in, and helping me run my house Jensen. Our life is in the public eye enough.."

"Sweetheart... You're exhausted, overwhelmed, let me hire someone to help you. It's not about clean enough, or dinner it's..."

"THAT'S BULLSHIT JAY, THAT'S TOTALLY WHAT IT'S ABOUT!!! YOU THINK I CAN'T KEEP UP WITH EVERYTHING. THAT I'M NOT GOOD ENOUGH!! WELL LET'S SEE YOU DO IT ALL!!! LET'S SEE YOU MAKE THE GROCERIES,  LET'S SEE YOU COOK DINNER WITH A BABY ON YOUR HIP SCREAMING, LET'S SEE YOU KEEP THE HOUSE SPOTLESS!!!"

"Y/n please your overreacting.."

"I'M OVERREACTING? FUCK YOU JENSEN! I'M SORRY I DON'T HAVE THE MAGIC TOUCH THE WAY YOU DO, OR OUR DAUGHTER PREFERS YOU OVER ME! I'M SORRY I'M NOT GOOD ENOUGH! GO AHEAD!! HIRE YOUR FUCKING MAID!!!" Throwing the clothes you were folding in his face you pushed past him towards the door, nearly knocking him down as he tried to reach for you..

"WHILE YOUR AT IT WHY DON'T YOU MAKE A POST ON YOUR INSTAGRAM ABOUT HOW SHITTY OF A MOTHER I AM SO YOUR FANS CAN SEE JUST HOW SHITTY OF A WIFE I AM TOO!!!"

Before he could respond you slammed the door in his face, but you didn't miss the hurt look as the door slammed...

Hours later your daughter was in bed, and you sat alone in your room crying, unable to face him. You felt like a failure, you overreacted and blew up in his face,because you thought that he thought you weren't good enough, you were confused, probably more than a little hormonal, and a whole lot hurt about a whole lot of things…

Right now though, it was the crushing guilt and regret you felt for blowing up at him…. When you knew he was just trying to help you...

A soft knock at the door made you nearly jump out of your skin, and you hurried to wipe your face when you saw Jensen standing cautiously in the doorway...

"Hey." He said softly, but not daring to come into the bedroom, probably fearful of another blow up from you...

"Hey." You said, your voice deep and thick from crying... Looked back down at your hands, too ashamed to look at him standing there in the doorway like he was afraid of you...

"Can I come in?" He asked, and you just nodded. Picking at a loose thread on your comforter.. You felt the bed dip under Jensen's wait as he sat down next to you...

"Sweetheart I'm sorry, I shouldn't have suggested a maid. I wasn't thinking, and I didn't mean to hurt you. I'm sorry that I made you feel like you weren't doing a good job because you are....I could just see how tired you are, and thought that I was helping..."

Reaching over he wiped away the tears that were now falling down your face, when you looked up at him he reached his arms around you, pulling you into his hold. Kissing the top of your forehead lightly..

"You're doing a great job baby, our little girl loves you so much, I love you, I can't imagine doing this without you, I don't know how you keep all of this going, I'd already have pulled my hair out. I'm sorry I made you feel bad baby, please forgive me, I hate when you're mad at me. I don't hate the fact that I'm the reason you're crying right now. I’m not her favorite baby, she loves you too, so much.." 

His voice was strained, and it made you lift your head off his shoulder to look up at him for the first time, really look at him.. 

There were deep circles around his eyes with bags to match, long nights filming, and long nights here taking their toll. His hair was a mess from constantly running his hand through it. The lines around his eyes showed more tonight, and his brow was creased from worrying. There were a few grey hairs speckled in his beard, and there was a spit up stain on his sleeve. 

It hit you then....

He'd been in the trenches right there with you, not working against you because you're a bad mom, but doing everything that he could to try and ease the load just a little.

He hadn't made that suggestion tonight because you were a failure he did it because he loved you..

Wrapping your arms around his neck you buried your face in his neck...

"I'm sorry Jensen. I overreacted. I'm not crying because of you. It's just hormones, and exhaustion.."

Jensen lifted your lips to his, brushing his lips over yours..

"I have another suggestion, but I don't want you to get mad at me, this was actually something I was thinking about before the baby.."

You sat up a little in his arms, and looked into his tired green eyes. The ones that you fell so hard for so long ago...

"Okay, I promise I won't yell at you no matter what you say." You told him, making him chuckle a little.

"Let's move to Dallas, closer to my parents, that way we can have a baby sitter we trust, and when you need a some extra hands, or when just want to have a date night that we haven't had in forever my mom and dad can help, or even my siblings, it won't be strangers, and it gives all of us a chance to be around family. Plus my mom would be over the moon."

You smile at him a little, and the relief on his face was evident when you did. The thought of Donna spoiling another granddaughter was fun to think about...

Poor baby would be so overdressed, and over bowed that it made you giggle a little.

"Actually Jay, I like that Idea a lot, let's go home."

Jensen brushed his lips lightly over yours again...

"I love you Mama."

"I love you to Daddy.."

Just as you were about to kiss him again a cry sounded from the nursery that sounded a whole hell of a lot like Dadda, and you couldn’t help but giggle..

“Okay, well I’ll admit that she’s definitely a daddy’s girl.” Jensen said, pecking you on the lips before getting up to go get her..

“You better still be awake when I get back, I’m not done making this up to you.” Jensen said with a wink that insinuated everything dirty you could possibly think of, making you fall over laughing on the bed. God you loved that man..

My new neighbor it's my crush (Deazzello week 2020)

Author's note: Hi people! I'm participating of this ship week hosted by @roger-taylors-car ❤️ I took the prompt "Neighbors" and kinda the one "First time" from day 2. First fic of this ship that I post! (I have a drabble from Christmas that I never posted lol)

Summary: the Mazzellos are now neighbors of the Deacon. The life of some of them it's about to change.

Warning: none. Just Joey and John being cute.

Next to John's house, will have some new neighbors soon. They're a family from USA. The man and his wife were planning to open a dance studio in UK, after the success of their ones in USA. They thought that Europe would be a great new horizon to explore. With the couple came one of their offspring, the young Joseph. He was just 21 years old and he helped to their parents in the studio, also he was trying to have an acting career. He had straight red hair, green eyes and a wide smile in his face. He wasn't so tall, but he was thin.  He could be the funniest one but also the most serious man when it's necessary.

Was a strangely sunny Saturday in the south of London when the move truck came near to his house. Just for mere curiosity, was to see through his porch. Meanwhile he was smoking a cigarette, with the another hand in his pocket and watching all, came mister Joseph to greet him.

"Oh hello sir. I'm Joseph and we came with our family to live for a while in London" he greeted him, extending his left hand through the railings.

"I'm John. Nice to meet you sir" replied him shaking hands.

After a couple of minutes where the men were talking, the young Joseph came there and he exclaimed so happy "HI MISTER IM JOE!"

His happiness was contagious for John, he smiled, even laughed a little. Joseph was upset.

"Hi Joe, I'm John", he responded with a wide smile.

After that, recognized who were him. That eye crackling was special. That soothing voice too.

"DAD YOU KNOW WHO IS HE?!?! HE'S A ROCK STAR!"

John laughed, half being nice and half uncomfortable.

His father saw to his son pretty upset.

"Joseph, I know who is him! Now, go and help to the movers. Surely will have opportunity to you to chat with him… of course if he wants" ended watching to the bassist.

"Of course, one day you and your family can come for tea time!" he said kindly.

Ronnie was watching the scene and decided to approach to it.

She exclaimed "oh, you're the new neighbors. I'm Veronica, but you can call me Ronnie".

Joseph shaked hand with the mistress just smiling politely. When was Joe's turn, he said "nice to meet you Ronnie. I'm Joe! Oh, lemme tell ya, you're pretty!"

Ronnie blushed a little for the unexpected compliment.

Ending the hand shake, she added "you're so sweet Joe!" Watching to John, she said "we should invite to this men and the rest of their family one day!". Her husband nodded and she, watching to the another men, told "tomorrow at 5 o'clock suits fine to you?"

The American men nodded, Joe pretty excitedly. He loved to meet new people, and more if it's one of his music idols. 

When the Mazzello men came back to the move, Joe exclaimed "Dad why you didn't told me that we would be deaky's neighbors?!"

Joseph watched to his son very serious.

"Joe, really you ask that? You acted like a fan! That man it's also a person, he deserves more respect!"

Joe stayed in silence.

His father continued talking.

"Tomorrow, behave please. Act like an adult."

"If act like an adult it's always being boring, I prefer to be a teen forever!" said Joe pissed.

After a long day, Joe could rest in his room. He puts his old Queen posters and one of John closer to his bed. He wanted to be in that tea thing, but more for the man that will be the host. That 40-ish old man, with white-ish hair and simple clothes still make things to him. Perhaps more than when he discovered that pics with the white jumpsuit. That pics with the I want to break free video and song were his sexual awake. He recognized that he wasn't a straight boy. 

"I really want to hug him at least… feel that arms around me would make me happy" he thought , watching to the roof. A deep sigh escaped of him. A wide smile in his face.

Imagining romantic scenarios with that man made him sleep deeply, despite the remaining jet lag. 

John was trying to sleep and that redhead boy came to his mind. "Deaks, not that again… you love your family. Indeed you have a son that's near to the age of that guy. Don't be impulsive. What would happen if that guy it's straight or he just was nice? Try to sleep please" he was thinking. He was having an internal debate and that was noticeable to the outside. Ronnie noticed that.

"John, are you okay?"

He couldn't be fully sincere, so he lied partially.

"I think that was pretty impulsive to let to that people come to our house… Isn't my style"

She watched to him "relax John, was so nice from you. Plus they look like a kind people".

John, trying to be funny, said "oh that's why the guy told a compliment to you, when you looks like a living disaster…" and smiled.

Ronnie didn't liked that joke and when she was about to respond, Cameron started to cry in the next room.

"Cam saved you this time John".

And he was alone with his own thoughts. 

"Better of that way…" he thought meanwhile his wife was to lull to their baby.

Sunday Afternoon came and no one was lazing. Ronnie and John, meanwhile preparing the things for the tea time and care of their youngest children. Elder ones, were pissed for the visit. Except Laura. "A boy in the house that aren't my brothers, I hope that he looks cute" thought smiling the girl, meanwhile she was doing her outfit.

Her mom saw her and told to the girl "Laura, the guy haves like 20 years and you're only 14…"

"Don't care mum. Perhaps in some years we can be together…"

"Laura, you didn't saw him and you're already planning that kind of things… real life isn't like the movies"

"I SAID DON'T CARE MUM! LET ME BE HAPPY. YOU BETTER GO AND TAKE CARE OF LUKE AND CAM!" screamed the girl, really pissed.

"Behave Laura. You can't talk to me like that! One more of that and you will not have your new walkman to your next birthday!" and the woman was downstairs.

The little girl didn't suspected that also her father was interested in that guy. That chance never passed for her mind. Like her mom said, real life isn't like the movies shows. And was about to witness that, without knowing.

The Mazzellos were preparing their outfits. Joe one was a beautiful black shirt, denim jeans, white sneakers and wearing his favorite parfum. His mother saw him and told "Joey, why that parfum? That one it's for special occasions" 

"Mom, we will have tea time with him, that isn't enough reason?"

His mom smiled.

"Haha, I forgot how much you love that band and that man… as a musician of course. I hope you don't misunderstood me!" and leave to her son alone.

Meanwhile, he was putting in practice his acting lessons to rehearsal how to say his feelings to that man. His mirror was the witness. And he forgot the door slightly open...

His dad caught him saying "I really love you since a lot of time…" to the mirror and he hawked to make notorious his presence.

"Joe, practice your script for the audition in the night, now it's time for the tea with the neighbors".

"Yeah, script… was the script of my own life that I was practicing" thought the boy.

The moment came. The tea time was there. 

Both families around the table of the living room, starting to have a nice time. Robert, Michael and Joshua were pretty upset. Laura was happy. "That guy looks so beautiful. It's so cute!" she thought meanwhile she greeted him. Same thing was thinking her dad…

In some moment of the tea time, Joe asked for the bathroom. Ronnie pointed the guest bathroom. Moments later, John get up of the couch with the excuse to bring more muffins.

Meanwhile Joe was going to the living, saw John in the kitchen. "It's now or never Joey" thought.

The redhead was in John's direction. 

"Mister… can I ask you something?"

Leaving the tray with muffins, John said "go ahead man" and smiled. That sweet smile that Joe always loved.

Joe blushed a little.

"Can I hug you?"

John was surprised for that question. But also kinda happy.

"Of course" and he extended his arms.

Both hugged. Joe embraced to the old man tight.

And remembering his acting classes to cover his fear, he whispered something to the ear of the man. "I like you. But not like a musician. Thank you for I want to break free, because I knew what really I want… a man like you".

John had his answer. And responded, kinda nervous, in Joe's ear "you're a cute boy. I wanna know you more".

They left the embrace and watched to the another one smiling. When Joey was about to give a kiss in the cheek of John, Laura came to the kitchen.

"What the fuck?!"

"I was about to hug your dad! He's my idol, y'know" Joe replied, winking an eye to the girl.

"Oh sorry!" she exclaimed, blushing a little. And watching now to her dad, she continued "Mum sent to me because you were delaying a lot, dad!".

The men had another hug, but this one was less tighter.

The three were going to the living. Laura in front of them. John watched mischievously to Joe for a moment and made that smirk. 

The three already in the living again. The men pretending like nothing unusual happened. But both of them knew that their lives changed since that moment. And they were prepared to live something that they really wanted…

Today has been frustrating. That’s all I’m going to say. Well, it started off nicely, I did something I was proud of. Then it went kinda downhill. I’m probably going to make it even worse as soon as I post this...there’s this thing I’ve been thinking about for the past few days. Considering I’m soooo good at communication and expressing my feelings, it’s going to end up great, you can bet.

Sarcasm aside, let’s talk about my legacies: 

I just queued the rest of part one of Gen 6! It’ll run for like 40 more days though.

After that, I’ll finally post the first generation of my BPR, almost a year after starting it. I know what you’re thinking, I’ve been posting TS3 for months, I should switch back to TS4 now, it would be fair, and yes, I thought about that too. But I kinda really want to get rid of the BPR. Gen 1 is finished and I don’t want to keep it to myself anymore.

As for gen 3 of NSB, I haven’t been playing it too much recently. I’ll play it a lot in June though, I hope. As soon as the exam chaos is over.

I’ve also made some decisions about Roses, but I’ll talk about these later. There’s still a high chance I’ll change my mind.

Besides, when do I not make decisions about Roses? They’re on my mind way too often. It can’t be healthy.

Update: I’m still not done with my replies but I just got a message from my teacher, saying that I did well on the English writing exam! I don’t know the exact grade but yay me. I mean, I knew I was going to do well on this one, but finally seeing I passed feels much nicer than “oh yeah, I’m confident about my English, there’s no way I can fail”. The way this exam system works...I was worried it wouldn’t scan properly or some crap. In the past, people had problems with that.

Update 2: Still writing the replies but I just found out that apparently I got 100% on the exam. Holyyyyy crap.

Thank youu! I hope so. I feel like I still remember nothing from the notes, but at the same time, when I read some of them, I’m like “duh, I’ve heard this a million times, of course I know what it is!”

If it makes you feel better, I’m constantly rethinking how I should have posted my story too. I think it’s why I’m enjoying doing these mini photo shoots for Gen 2. It’s glimpses into their life that I didn’t fully express in my story.

I feel like everyone does this, they get great ideas when it’s too late to change it. Some people are just better at moving on, I guess. Not that I want to move on from gen 4, nope.

It might be?? And it wasn’t even a good blonde. In many photos, it just looks yellow, sometimes even a little green. But hey, I learned from my mistakes, now I’m never going blonde :D

Usually it’s the other way around :D Yeah, it was great to watch. I was expecting to be disappointed but not surprised, but actually...if I’m not mistaken, that’s our best score with Sweden ever. And then with Norway, we did great too...too bad we lost with Russia today. There were so many chances and not a single goal...but oh well, it’s just one game. It doesn’t mean anything. I hope.

This was actually a funny moment. I thought “Awesome, her mother died in a fire, she’s going to be eaten by shark and who’s there to save their ass with a ‘quit without saving’ button? Me again! Maybe they’re telling me I should stop playing this legacy.”

But then she wasn’t actually killed by a shark. Phew.

I haven't watched this season yet. �� I keep saying I'm gonna sit down and binge it, but haven't done it. Maybe I'll do that Wednesday.

Oooh, I’m not sure if I would be able to binge watch it. Every episode left me feeling overwhelmed with thoughts and emotions, doesn’t matter if they were negative or positive. Actually, I don’t think this season is as bad as so many people online say...it’s not perfect but nothing is. 🤷‍♀️

Then again, speaking of binge watching, I was able to watch the previous seven seasons in less than a month last year, so maybe it is possible.

I’m not sure how I felt about it. Like I’ve said already in this post, today has been frustrating and this episode contributed to that. There were some things that bothered me, some decisions that bothered me, oh and there was a great example of character development going to hell (that really disappointed me tbh), but overall...idk, I guess I still kinda enjoyed it - I mean, as much as one can enjoy this tv show. It was brutal.

I’m not going to talk about it all in depth though, I could spend whole evening with that and I don’t want that haha :D

LOL Okay like, I know there are a lot of misconceptions about hygiene through the history of man. We’ve been cleaner than movies and tv have portrayed. People found ways.  Okay I am doing a cut because I just got STUPIDLY WORDY lol

So it kills me when people say “Oh Fallout” You’d be gross. Not really. It’s not like a whole 5 people survived since the bombs dropped. It’s not like everyone forgot some kind of way to make medicine, herbal things, common sense things and even humanistic healings. I would think a lot of that stuff would be passed down. How many generations has it been? 

The US was already in a shitstorm pre-bombs. Resource Riots are even mentioned. The 1 percent was the 1 percent. So luxe would have already been a true luxury. People already learned to do without or improvise. Let’s talk about what would have taken someone in pioneer days WEEKS to die from would kill a dude in a couple hours or a day tops now. And they had fewer meds. ANTIBIOTICS everything… look what we did, I don’t have to go over that. I would think in that Univ where you didn’t have a surplus of Purel… things would adapt back or balance out. Maybe, maybe not. I am not a bioengineer. /shrug lol

Okay so back to before: SOAP - It’s homemade now. It could be homemade again. It’s also been told to me on more than one occasion that it is water that changes, not the shampoo. More natural shampoo and fewer chemicals in it would be more beneficial to hair. Women in less developed countries have healthier hair overall. Though I know that environmental pollutions like air/water would have effects on it. Brushing hair would help remove dirt, insects and stimulate natural oils. Also daily brushing would alert to health changes, small wounds or infections. 

HAIR - while it should be tied up or bound for numerous reasons, would also add a layer of protection and warmth and even cool by holding moisture close to the head when you sweat to act as a radiator (to put it dumbly). But do what you gotta do. Did you also know Barbers were also Dentist and Surgeons back in the day? Why their chairs look a certain way in old-timey pics. 

TEETH - Okay the lack of Sugar in Fallout Diets would be big in the health of teeth. I mean those that do find sugar or have access to it, its a big deal and not like the go wasting it (unless you have a problem like Bass, huh @impr0bablyhighrn with fricken SugarBomb Hoarding!) 

SHAVING - This is tricky. It’s not really a needed thing. BUT trimming would be for the same reason as brushing hair. Beards if dirty get itchy, which causes scratches, which could lead to infections by dirty nails or ingrown hairs. Folliculitis is no joke for many men and gets it heavily around the neck and face where the shave. Again why have an infection that could get worse? I’ve seen infections travel in pockets to eyes Or rupture after being so big leaving an open wound. Yeah, we know whats next. Some people have less body hair than others. Some may NOT need to shave as often or at all nowadays. So I can see the same being in FO too. Example, I have super light thin body hair thanks to my mother’s indigenous genes. I barely have to shave, unlike a cousin that has like SUPER black hair and shaves her arms she feels so self-conscious about it. ALSO Public hair would be a must in FO. ***THOUGH*** I can see a SoSu that may have been used to things finding discomfort at first. Some are relieved at not having to. That is all player and OC choice. 

BATHS - Okay yall… people would wash their hands as much as people do now. Maybe more because they know their lives depend on it. I would believe public bathhouses would come back. Rainwater collection would be monumentally a thing. I mean just because a video game company doesn’t put these things in a game doesn’t mean it’s not a thing. It comes down to storytelling and graphics resources. 

Okay, that’s enough rambling. Would the richer have a better quality of life? Yes, absolutely. But People would not be as nasty as Bethesda likes to portray them.

Smith - Rd 2 Part 2

Continuing off my last post...

Jill has been such a huge help with raising her siblings, PT9 is old and has to take care of his needs so often, and I was trying to get Jenny promoted AND she worked nights, so she was unavailable a lot of the time.

Oh, and a few pics of their dog Ariel. Uh, she pretty much just does whatever she wants and now that the kids are toddlers, follows them around all the time. She’s sweet but pretty boring, lol.

The twins had to be aged up by Jill since I completely forgot... she was in the middle of swimming in the pool.

I finally got to get a look at their faces!! Joseph (the blond) looks a LOT like his dad, while his sister Joanna I would assume looks more like her mother?

Ariel took a pretty immediate liking to the two of them, she’s always cuddling and licking them.

PT9′s a sweet dad :)

And well, this is where what I thought was going to be a short break turned into FOUR MONTHS. yikes. It pretty much all goes downhill from here :(

One of the very first things that happened when I booted the game back up was MISSING JENNY’S BIRTHDAY.

I feel horrible about this, and for working her so hard :( But it’s for the kids. I wanted to make sure they would have enough income from her pension once she had to retire after PT9 died. His life bar was looking AWFULLY full.

...and I think he knew it

Jenny was still working on getting one last promotion, PT9 was working on his skills, Jill was left alone for the most part - I trusted her enough to let her do whatever most of the time.

And then, right after he finished a round of potty-training with Joseph...

he died in LOW GREEN. I am so upset about this. If he had died just a few minutes later I could’ve tried for a bit higher aspiration by filling some of his spring-induced romance wants. Unfortunately Jenny was still at work.

As soon as she got home the poor thing went into aspiration failure. Everyone except Jill (who was in platinum right before it happened, and only dipped into gold) was in the DEEP red.

The next day has zero pictures, but I was finally able to raise Jenny’s aspiration into a low green (which was not easy, she would only roll impossible power wants). She was able to then help the toddlers with their potty training, finally filling the bar up and putting the twins into platinum.

The two of them are due to age up next round, and I can finally make use of Johnny and Jill’s old rooms (instead of renovating Jill’s old room, I renovated the one across the hallways and moved her in there lol) The traffic in the house should get a LOT better after that, the kids are living in a nursery that’s built on to the master bedroom and the traffic is nuts with the two of them watching their parents, and the dog watching the kids.

Under the cut there are some thoughts on the process and ideas behind the drawing JOURNEY INTO THE DARK if you are interested :)

I thought it would be too big of a burden to mention all of this within the art post. This is also for my own archiving purposes (so I won’t forget what was involved! :D) and it’s always nice to see how things start and develop...

Long post ahead! (contains spoilers for the show)

COMMENTARY:

I continued this work bit by bit over a period of several months (I started this just when s4 started airing) and only finished it recently. A few hours then and then (whenever I felt like it or had time for this), but I can’t really say how much time it took all together. Occasionally there were weeks/months that I just forgot about it and was more focused on other things...

Most of the thoughts here are fleeting ideas during the process (how a thing X lead to thing Y) and some personal fun and not something I actually spend too much time on dwelling or planning (or researching lol). I have probably forgotten some already and some happened by accident and some I am just incabable of putting into understandable words.

None of these are any actual instructions (or limits) of “this is how it’s to be seen”. Art doesn’t have to be or even shouldn’t be explained in some cases, but I just wanted to document the process and open up the symbolism since there were a lot of (random) things involved.

It’s also fun to look back on things and how they evolved and what their connection to other things were.

You are free to have your own interpretations of course and I hope this additional post doesn’t ruin any of those :)

The initial idea and motifs:

Flint decends the steps from light to darkness and Miranda is standing behind him as an accomplice/orderer. Stepping stones get bloodier by every step and gold coins are glimmering on the path (Urca de Lima’s gold). Sword is drawn out for war and slaughter. Black water as in the opening credits + general darkness to represent the abyss. Reflection shows James when he was happy (him returning to Hamiltons) and how much he has changed compared to that (McGraw vs Flint). Sort of stage / antique/ greek tragedy(?) setting with marble columns, red curtains (like a myth, a monology or a story or something).

A white feather shining in the dark to show there’s always hope and another way out. I already explained this in another post, but here it is again:

Short answer: Silver (although some of you may not like it) Long answer: the feather is for “hope and an alternative for war” (the dove of peace..haha). Also remember the trap Flint laid in season 1? The feather and the logbook in his drawer -> leads to Silver’s capture later.

The feather is also a reference to the swan of Tuonela (in Finnish mythology the river of Tuonela separates the world of the living and the dead (compare Styx in Greek mythology I guess). Flint decents to the world of death (also represented here by the pale and dead-looking organic shapes of the opening sequence’s sculpture… thing).

Anyway, the feather is mainly about Silver: both how they end up meeting in the beginning (the trap, and then some new hope along the way and eventually some light in Flint’s miserable life) and what (who) also ends up being “the end of Captain Flint” (a tiny nod to the swan guarding the border between the living and the dead).

Visually I wanted something to shine in the darkness to remind there’s always hope and another way out. At one point it had an additional thin string leading to Thomas’ hand. You know, a connection to the memory (and to the reason of Flint’s revenge and war path and so on) but the idea didn’t work so well and felt too distracting so I left it (the string) out. And then the finale happened (!!!) and the reflection became also the future.. :D

There was also a post going around a long time ago about the empty space (the absence of Thomas) next to James and Miranda in some scenes, so I incorporated that in here, too. Unfortunately I cannot remember who did the post, so I cannot link it right now :| It was something about how some of the New World scenes were framed in a way that it looked like there was something missing (aka the third person of the trio).

Here’s the early drafts again so you don’t have to scroll back:

I didn’t like the first composition that much and continued it into another direction with similar elements and the main ideas.

The stepping stones changed to wooden planks: angrier zigzag lines (rage) and also the idea of “walk the plank” (except that you don’t know when and where the nightmare ends...)

I ditched the gold coin idea. The overal setting became more spacious and gloomier to emphasize the vastness of abyss and the smallness of people. The stage / arch became the staircase seen in Flint’s dreams.

The whole thing is sailing on a similar sculptural thing seen in the opening sequence which for some reason made me think about the floating theatre in the Moomins (when the Moomin valley is flooded in one dangerous midsummer. LMAO):

(*coughs* lots of water, a stage and some drama after a disaster...so..)

(At one point I was also thinking about Howl’s moving castle and how that too is a monstrous looking vessel travelling between worlds (well, opening doors) but how the moving castle itself is also composed of various other things... and how in the drawing Flint would be stepping out of the ride for a moment to do some dark deeds in one of these ‘worlds’ etc.)

Black Sails opening sequence - is there a term for that cool monstrosity?

Some other inspiration and references:

Akseli Gallen-Kallela’s “Lemminkäisen äiti” (Lemminkäinen’s Mother, 1897).

(notice the swan, the black water, blood-covered stones, ‘the mother’ and the red-bearded ‘son’ waiting/asking for a spark for new life after the mother has combed his broken parts out of the river and assembled them back into the shape of a man)

I must admit that I didn’t bother to think any deeper parallels with Lemminkäinen and Flint (or the Mother and Miranda) beside this (more about it later though) and mainly had my thoughts just on this painting and its visuals because it is so well known (and liked) in Finland.

Moving on.

I chose the latter stairs for the reflection (although modified) only because they were in London and there is an arch above them (to mirror the window in the drawing)

Some steps futher when the needed elements are more clear:

At some point I tried things with a lot more light and coldness (below, left pic) to channel some of the the dream sequence in s3 but in the end I chose the darker atmosphere, faces in shadows and I also wanted to preserve the red colour somehow (right pic):

The reflection sketch (at some point), although most of it cannot be seen in the finished work and thus didn’t need too much details. Young lieutenant James McGraw returning to London from his voyage:

Also, (and I am so sorry about this, but it was “fitting” and I decided to keep it..) in the reflection (when flipped and put in its position) the plank (their unfortunate blood-covered war-path and future) accidentally hides Miranda’s face and decapitates her so to speak and she won’t be there anymore ;_;

Thomas, on the other hand, is in the reflection to meet James -  both in the past and again in the future - but not in ‘the present’ where Miranda is.

Miranda in Flint’s visions (s3 ep3):

When I first met you, you were so Unformed.

And then I spoke and bade you cast aside your shame, and Captain Flint was born into the world. The part of you that always existed yet never were you willing to allow into the light of day.

I was mistress to you when you needed love. I was wife to you when you needed understanding. But first and before all I was mother. I have known you like no other. So I love you like no other. I will guide you through it, but at its end is where you must leave me. At its end is where you will find the peace that eludes you, and at its end lies the answer you refuse to see.

And then in s3ep5: You can't see it yet, can you? You are not alone.

The end part of it is seen in the fandom as a reference to Silver (and his partnership) and how Flint’s mind is telling himself to see it too. And I agree on that. I don’t think James had any hopes for Thomas being alive (especially in s3). As I mentioned earlier I originally did the reflection to show him (Thomas) only as a memory. Then the finale happened and the reflection got its double meaning :)

And here again Miranda as the mother (there has been better discussions about this topic and speech in the fandom so I won’t go more into that now). In the inspiration painting that I showed earlier the mother had assembled his son back together (for rebirth / reanimation) <--- Miranda being part of the creation (birth) of ‘Captain Flint’.

Aaaaand here’s the feather again and Silver’s words (and sort of motto):

“Take it from me, there's always a way.” (season 1)

“Nothing is inevitable here. I'm showing you a way in which we can survive this.″ (season 3)

Some further fixed details and adjustments. In the end the wall almost disappeared and to me it made this feel a bit like “floating alone without a shelter on your back or a place to return once you leave its premise”... I fixed the perspective of the planks (took me surprisingly long to notice what was wrong) and got the bloody red back on the planks (and not leaking too much on the water).

I wanted the water to be quiet, pitch black and endless and the reflection to seem like a dream. I probably should’ve done everything a bit more detailed or sharper, but in the end it didn’t feel so necessary (and it would have been way too much work, haha).

The final drawing:

The planning and initial idea was done after seeing s3 and just when s4 was beginning so there weren’t any thoughts linked to s4 while making this (other than the surprise connection with Thomas). Most of this I did paint after s4 though, but only to finish what I had already started.  

One more thing. I also made “the doors of the warship” -drawing after planning the JOURNEY INTO THE DARK (although I posted the doors pic first, since it was finished earlier).

It has a similar lighting and the theme of James and Miranda facing together ‘the civilization’ although this time they are stepping towards the light again (in hopes of closure and the promise of new life... which doesn’t go well as we already know ;_;).

So, here we sort of have a beginning and an end for their journey in the dark (together)  - believing that there are just the two of them left from the original trio.

Aaaaaand, that’s about it. Sorry about some repetition and messiness.

As I said in the beginning of this post, you are free to have your own interpretations (and I hope this post didn’t ruin any of them). These were just the things and thoughts that went into this work (or were stumbled upon along the way...), but you don’t have to take them to your heart.

During her childhood, Karina was a very lonely and kind of aggresive kid. She lived in a little village a little far away from school, so she didn’t have friends there. Also kids usually teased her about her birthmarks, so that didn’t help neither.

After her grandmother passing away, she tried to do everything she could to make her proud. She went to a University cos it was what her grandmother always wanted. Also, as soon as she started using make-up, the first thing she did was hiding her birthmarks with it. She continued doing that until she met the crusaders in Singapore.

In SO, she’s a very minor chara. She just appeared at the SPW foundation when she found out that Rosa was trying to help Jolyne. She’s worried, and doesn’t want to lose her daughter as she lost a lot of dear people.

★ Karina’s family

Rafaella met Caesar in the spring before the events of BT.

Messina found her and little baby Mina in March 1939 and decided to take care of them. 

At first, he tried to teach Mina Hamon, but she wasn’t very good at it.

When Mina was 17, she and her mother, traveled to Spain, since Mina wanted to study there.

In Madrid, she met Juan, and even if at first they didn’t get along that well cos he looked so intimidating even if he’s a cinnamon roll lol, they end up falling in love.

When Mina finished her degree, she and Rafaella moved to Asturias, where Juan lived. In 1962, Juan and Mina got married, and in 1964 her little bby Karina was born.

In 1981, when Karina is 17, Rafaella died because of an illness.

After BT: Not so much changes. He stop using headbands, although Joseph gave him a new one for the one he burned lol. Also, no more crop tops for him, because he doesn’t want to show the many scars he has on his torso and back due to his fight against Wamuu. Not cos he’s ashamed of them, at the contrary, he thinks about them as a reminder of what happens when you’re too full of yourself, but cos he knows that they aren’t very pleasing to the eye. At 25 he starts using glasses for reading.

SDC: Unlike Joseph, he continues his Hamon training. He looks way younger than he really is. Some people even thought that he was Billie’s brother instead of her dad lol.

DiU: After meeting his granddaughter and especially his great grandchildren, he decided to stop his Hamon training, so he started to age more normally even if still he looks  a bit younger.

SO: He died in between the events of VA and SO. He’s not inmortal like Joseph.

★ Billie Joestar

Billie was a 5 y-o  orphan girl who just escaped from the orphanage and found Joseph and Caesar in the street. At first they started to try to look for her parents, but after spending all the day in that, she told them the truth. Caesar wanted to notify the police, but Joseph refused, and could persuade him, saying that at that late hour probs they would make her stay the night in the police station, so she stayed with them this night, with the promise that next morning they would notify the police and return her to the orphanage. At the end, they both became too fond of her, also, both know perfectly how is being alone at  early age, so they decided that maybe they could adopt her. And they did, under Joseph’s name cos it would be easy and better for her cos his heritage and renown after all. So, Billie gained two loving dorks fathers and soon she will gain a sweet mom and a little sister.

The oldest child and the responsible one.

She tries to be the voice of reason of her brothers, and sometimes can be a bit bossy.

She’s very independent since early age and is happy that her parents are proud of it.

A ball full of energy.

He is very active and Joseph is a bad influece, a very bad influence...

As soon as he starts knowing how to control his stand, he would use it for playing, and even pranking. Rosa would try to stop him tho.

He was a bit jealous of his little brother cos he thought that his mom loved him more.

Rosa’s stand: Karma Chameleon Powers: She can control and change the density of things, except of living beings. For that, she can either change the mass making it heavier or lighter, or either change the volume compressing or expanding the object, but she can’t change both properties at once.

Nassif’s stand: Word Up! Powers: He can manipulate strong magnetic energies, being his hands like an actual magnet, that can attract every kind of metalic material.

Anthonio’s stand: Black Hole Sun Powers: He can control and shape shadows, and even creating living beings from them. This creatures are very sensitve to sun light, a prolongues exposition to it can destroy them. Also, their individual strenght depends on how many of them are created, since the total power of the stand is divided equally between them.

Analysis:

RedRosette J: This episode opens with the events at the restaurant happening from Woo Tak’s point of view. I really like that we are getting multi dimensional points of view of these dream scenarios. It’s also interesting to see how the characters change things based on what information they have from their dreams. The plot is also written interestingly, so when things are happening, you don’t really feel like skipping. It’s only when the plot gets into the obligatory romantic flashback dreams that it feels super draggy and forces you to skip.

RedRosette J: I am totally obsessed with Jan Hae In. He is sooooooooo adorable and I swear I had to stop every time he was on screen to screen shot his cute face! He’s super cute. I also love how his character is very bubbly and upbeat and positive. And he has a cute chubby doggy OMG this guy is super adorable!!!! *calms down* I also like that he is going to be a positive influence in Jae Chan’s life because these two are going to become good friends whether Jae Chan likes it or not. I also love how the writers revealed Woo Tak’s ability to see the future in dreams very quickly to Hong Joo and Jae Chan and they almost immediately became this weird “Dream Scooby Gang”! Can we please get more of him???

RedRosette J: I’m glad they resolved So Yoon’s Dad’s case because that was taking too long and I’m glad Kim So Hyun’s cameo is over because her character was starting to become annoying to me. I did like how Woo Tak and Hong Joo dreamed two very different outcomes for this case, and how them choosing to change the present based on the positive outcome in Woo Tak’s dream, changed the course of events. I think it seems like Jae Chan is the person who can change the outcome of events and Woo Tak and Hong Joo dream the different variations of the future. It’s a really interesting concept and I’m excited to see how it plays out later.

When you’re full of shit and everyone knows it

RedRosette J: Interestingly, both Hong Joo and Jae Chan had the same flower petals kiss dream, but the outcome changed because Jae Chan didn’t act on it. Again, it proves that Jae Chan is the actor in changing the course of events. In terms of the development of the romance, I’m still not sold on Suzy and Lee Jong Suk having chemistry and to me it just feels like two people who are being forced to behave romantically. I keep getting platonic vibes off the two of them. Even the kisses feel forced and unromantic. I mean, if you want a real comparison, compare Lee Jong Suk and Park Shin Hye’s twinkle lights kiss in Pinocchio and Lee Jong Suk and Han Hyo Joo’s prison kiss in W: Two Worlds with the flower petals kiss in this drama and you will see what I’m talking about…

Issue 1: Whether Defense counsel can go around threatening victims.

RedRosette J: I think this issue came up in another post we did, but I’m talking about it again because this is not “lawyering” and this is not what being a lawyer is about. You can’t go around and threaten victims not to sue and not to press charges and stuff because that it ILLEGAL and you could be disbarred! Please. Stop doing this. Although, Lee Sang Yeob is doing a fabulous job as this awful lawyer who thinks he’s unstoppable.

You’re killing it in this role dude!

Issue 2: Whether the representation of Jae Chan working is an actual representation of what a litigator’s work is like.

RedRosette J: Cut to: the montage of Jae Chan working like a crazy person and living off ramen noodles and coffee for days, and a major lack of sleep. I’ve been told that this is exactly what a litigator’s life is like right before a trial. The immense workload and time that is required for trial prep requires long, long sleepless nights and an inhuman amount of coffee. I worked for one litigator who, during trial time, according to his wife, walked around like a zombie and barely had time to come home. Sounds super intense right? So yea, I think this is an actual representation of what a litigator’s work is like right around trial time.

Issue 3: Whether being too smart for your own good can lead to your downfall.

RedRosette J: The problem with being too smart is that some times you can be outsmarted in the most basic ways and that can lead to your downfall. I loved how this episode portrayed this. Yoo Beom, having gone to extreme lengths to tamper with evidence and falsify medical reports etc forgot that sometimes its the most basic human reactions that can make or break a case. In this case, having all that insurmountable “evidence” proving that So Yoon’s Dad didn’t abuse her mother barely held up against his reaction to her fainting on the stage. I loved that the investigator picked up on that and dragged out a confession. When someone you love faints, its not an appropriate reaction to say “I didn’t do it” unless you actually did do it and were desperate to cover it up. The normal reaction, as Jae Chan said, would be to say “are you okay” or to ask for help. In this sense, I think the Yoo Beom, in failing to account for this most basic human reaction, sabotaged his own case. I think that given the evidence tampering and falsifying documents, Yoo Beom should be severely reprimanded and disbarred as well. I’m not okay with how the show glosses over that fact and keeps going as if its business as usual. Generally, getting caught doing that pretty much means the end of your career as a lawyer.

Issue 4: Whether Seung Won finally got the girl.

RedRosette J: So remember how in a previous post I said that poor Shin Jae Ha was not going to get Kim So Hyun in this drama either? Well my bad, because congratulations to Seung Won who finally finally got the girl! I just had to write about it because its just so adorable and I’m finally happy about it LOL!

MLP Nextgen Doodle Dump

So, to preface this with bad/weird news, my dad's in the hospital right now. He's got an infection of some sort but he's doing okay. He's hoping to get out tomorrow/today for you guys, Monday for sure. So, as you could imagine I'm stressed out LMFAO. If I'm not around much that's why. Also I I hate to ask, but any donation would be helpful. I'd open commissions but I've got a lot of things I've got to get done beforehand. Any amount helps, and I'll probably try and do something for you in the future if you do donate.  I've decided to doodle a bit over the past few days. I don't know how long it's going to be until I get motivation to draw something good/normal and I felt bad for that so I wanted to do this doodle page. Not only was it easier for me to do and was something I could post, but I could explore the relationships in my NGs a bit. I didn't sit there and fiddle with them for too long, so they aren't the best, especially anatomy wise and how faithful they are to the refs I have of said chars, but it was fun and mostly non stressful. I'm debating on doing more, but I was kinda struggling to fill this one out alll the way, lol. It was originally intended to just be a Valorverse dump but I ran out of ideas and I neglect my first NG too much anyways lol.  It started out with Number 6 and the NSFW doodle I posted on my Furaffinity of Celly and Starswirl but I decided to take off with it a bit more lol. I will be writing this as if it was on DA so if some things come out looking weird that's why, lol.  Also I can't remember the order I doodled them in so whoops lol. 1.This is Rosemary and Ajwain, my two Zecora x Saffron Masala nextgens in the Mediverse. Both of them take at least 1 day ouf of the week to have some drinks and talk to each other. Ajwain loves his quality time with his sister. Ajwain was designed by the lovely Scyllarus a while back! It's a shame I haven't gotten around to drawing them until now I REALLY LOVE THEIR DESIGN STILL THANK YOU!!! ;v; 2.These are my Two Discord x Celestia babs in the Mediverse. Blane and Maelstrom. Maelstrom is a lot bigger than Blane lol. One fateful day, when Discord was  left to his devices for too long resting at the Royal castle, he informed Celestia that he was in fact pregnant despite lacking the proper genitalia to be so. After a few months, he layed an egg, that of which Maelstrom was hatched from. He very tactly laid said egg during a very previously nice and lovely dinner that She and the Mane 6+Spike and Starlight were having. No one was left un-traumatized.   When I originally started doodling this it was intended to be a friendly banter/fight between these two siblings, but it seems like it's a little more serious than that LOL Blane's design was by the lovely chiickii, and Maelstrom's design was by the lovely   3. (Valorverse) Mahina, a Celestia x Mirror!Sombra bab, crying his eyes out. The original thought behind this was that he's upset because he doesn't have a close or even okay relationship with his older sister, who practically just kinda rejects his existance even though she's still nice to him. It hurts him so much though, as he loves her dearly and wants to be close with her but isn't. Another thought that popped up was just him being overwhelmed with his Princely duties, as well as not being able to get over his crush on Twi. 4. (Valorverse) A Pinkie x Skystar bab I designed! I love Pinkie's babies and this one's no different lol. She has no wings in her hippogryph form! She's got Limestone's eye color (and coat color kinda. its supposed to be a purple but it looks more pink lol.) I also just realized that Pinkie has babies with 2 royal families LMFAO. I don't have a name for her yet, so any suggesetions are appreciated if you have the time, lol. 5. (Mediverse)  Barbell, a Dumbell x Hoops bab, and Sky High, a Rainbow x Soarin bab. These two are the closest of friends and Sky has a huge crush on him. I feel like they'll eventually get together lol. In this doodle she surprised and tackled him down, lol. Its really awkward at first for them to be friends, as Rainbow and Dumbell (and by extension Hoops) really don't get along all too well even after the apology they gave her. Rainbow often encourages Sky to not talk to Barbell indirectly, but Dumbell and Hoops are patient and are understanding of Rainbow's feelings.  6. (Valorverse) Ahh, the first one lol. This originally was intended to be Pippin "Lil' Mac" selling some of the apple cider the apples make, but the story kinda twisted in my brain into him being at his first prom and getting absolutely tossed LMFAO. I have no idea who his date would be or where he went, however I can tell you he has some seriously gay feelings right now LOL 7. (Valorverse) This is Viridian, a char I adopted from chiickii!  Viridian is the adopted daughter of Twilight and Tempest. In horrible Irony, she is INCREDIBLY bad at channeling her magic through her horn. Simple levitation spells are a struggle for her, and she feels like she needs to get better for the sake of her mother, who is the element of Magic after all. She studies so hard and intensely she gets very easily frustrated and will even hurt herself in the process if she isn't paying attention. In this pic she bit her lip. 8. (Valorverse)  A fullbody of another char I adopted from chiickii! She is Amalthia, a Starswirl x Celestia bab. She was born with a growth disorder where her left hind leg didn't develop properly and is a lot shorter than her others. Before her other leg got paralyzed she would still use her wheelchair, but could get around with it okay. Now with the other one not working it is a necessity, lol.  9. (Valorverse) A doodle of the recent Pinkie x Rutherford bab I designed. This is him in another outfit of his. Every now and then he wears shoes that make it look like he's hooved. He'll also occasionally cut the "hair" off his tail and just go with a short one. This is definitely a headcanon and not just because I forgOT TO DRAW THE TAIL 10. (Valorverse) I thought it'd be cute to have it canon that Pippin and Morning Glory (a fluttershy x treehugger bab) dated back in highschool before both of them realized they were gay lol. I guess that would be his date to the original prom lol. They're BFFs still even though they had a kinda nasty break up. WLW MLM Solidarity lol 11. A bit of a Crossover between the two Verses, lol. The left is Barbell, and the Right is Gusty Haze, a Vapor Trail x Short Fuse bab in the Valorverse. Gusty was the result of a weird one night stand Vapor had with   Gusty is one of the fastest fliers in the Valorverse but still couldn't keep up very well with Barbell. He has the added benefit of being a great distance flyer as well, where Gusty is more of a "Fly fast in bursts" flyer. Barbell is a CRAZY good flyer.  Gusty was adopted by Rainbow and Lightning Dust. He's a very fiesty thing that's full of vigor and sportyness. He's also is a bit hotheaded, however that was to no one's surprise.  He got into an accident when he was younger, trying to preform an almost humorously dangerous trick that ended up with him getting burns on his rump and other parts of their body. I imagine the tape he wears over his arms covers more burns. Gusty Haze is a Nonbinary Female that uses He/him pronouns. 12. (Mediverse) Naughty Naughty things you can only find uncensored on my Furaffinty, lol. 13. (Valorverse) Not much backstory on this one. Just a doodle of Swan Song, a Stygian x Starlight bab, trying to be cute. 14. (Mediverse) Another drawing of Blane, I originally was going to flip the image but by the time I remembered it was a huge pain to, so his bits are out of order technically, lol. It wouldn't surprise me if they switched from time to time anyway. (Not to mention I drew it wrong on 12 anyway LOL) It kinda looks like he's laughing at Swan Song lol 15. (Mediverse) A techincal spoiler but that hasn't stopped me before LMFAO. At some point, Amaris, a "Nightmare Moon" x Sombra bab, ends up trying to rule equestria but gets defeated and redeemed. He meets a pony of the name Broken Heart, a Cadence x Shining Armor bab, while traveling and eventually helps him get out of the depressive rut he was in, get him help, and eventually fosters a relationship with him. Well thank you so much for that! I always think my constant talking must be tiring, but unfortunately, my mother didn’t really teach me how to shut it... which is weird considering the fact that she constantly tries to shut me now, when I’m thirty... in vain of course :D
