Intermission time!! And we are back to my weekly scheduled yabbing session!!

Carlos in media session is my favourite to stare at because he usually looks like he is somewhere we can never reach and only he knows how to get there, It makes him wonder if Carlos ever resents him, especially when he comes out on top. I genuinely had a three hour long conversation with a friend of mine over this because like come on we think Charles is the one to get us back to glory so that might feels off for carlos so kudos for mentioning it because I feel people dont think about that a lot, “Will you be racing for the win on Sunday?” No he will be racing to dnf.

Ah jack doomscrolling my beloved, george always look like he is going to cry is my favourite thing during the weekend it’s always fun to watch, but merc is shit so I dont blame because Ferrari always makes me want to cry so I get it, “You know Hischier keeps throwing your name around?” Because he is in looovveee, jack is more oblivious than me and thats saying something because there was this man who was flirting with me and buying me coffee and getting me sandwich but I thought he was just being friendly until my bestie sat me down and was like how stupid are you.

@/hugheswdc is getting bullied so jack better win so they can laugh at everyone who doubted their words -can you post the headcanon about everyone? Because im getting attached to characters who dont even exist-.

I want McLaren to lose sorry Jamie love you but my hatred for McLaren is stronger so I dont want to see them top 10, jack your praise kink is known because you are happy when you make the team proud, jack having more poles than nico excuse me while I go and scream about this!! yeah i am always writing that carlos looks dead to the world because That Is What He Looks Like. and doing his weird mouth thing. casually unhinges jaw. but yeah rip carlos i know Real Life says he is in the fuckass williams for the 2025 season but this is my fanfiction and i think writing him as jack's teammate is fun. they're always lowkey beefing. for a multitude of reasons. and then i get to write annoying twitter users with carlos pfps. oops

it is Vaguely implied to me in my brain that most of the tweets and articles and stuff shown are things that jack reads. maybe not all of them. but like. he does the doomscrolling. in my heacanon (it is my fic so ig it could just be canon) he has a burner f1twt account lmao but that's not super important. he doesn't tweet on it he just doesn't want to get caught accidentally liking something on main bc that would be a whole thing. bro probably doesn't even run his own twitter account. and yeah jack and nico are both different breeds of crazy. stop talking about each other to the media. hugheswdc is i believe the most frequent twitter user i make tweets for. she has like. 50 or something on my doc i think? idk frequent flyer but she is one of jack's biggest and most vocal fans so it is consistently relevant. also she Will fight the annoying carlos fans (jase smoothoperationnn my beloathed). and icr what tweets exactly i've posted as of yet but she totally ships jack and nico. i've posted the one that gets qrted to hell right... anyways there is rpf within my rpf. lex hugheswdc is rpfing

other things that come to mind as far as Fictional Twitter Users go is cam hughessainz does not like nico but they know better than to say anything too obvious about it. jase hates jack but we all knew that. a lot of the users i write as mercedes fans are not big on nico or jack either -- they're always mad that they're being assholes (and then extra mad that jack's fans in particular seem to Enjoy him being an asshole instead of criticizing it). the uh rbrhughes user who i don't think has a real name (sexiest title contender?) wants jack to move to red bull (hence the username) but that is a Fool's Delusion. despite his ass being not very slick in red bull territory... idiot. if you ask lex it is because he is Gay (true)

oh and the arrow zegras bitch whose @ escapes me is more of an indycar than an f1 fan and root for mclaren by the proxy of that's their favorite indy team and jack by the proxy of being friends with zegras. countdown to the month of may commences

nico and jack cannot have a normal rivalry they are just gay. i cannot resist jack hughes praise kink... i once again almost just referenced a line from a scene I HAVE NOT POSTED YET. just trust me. dude has lost his mind. and unfortunately for everybody nico has figured out The Formula and is also being crazy. i love writing fics where both halves of the ship are just crazy

Jason “my family doesn’t know im alive” Todd and Danny “my family doesn’t know I’m dead” Fenton going alongside each of their plans my beloved. like Danny will absolutely go head-to-head with all of Gotham to support his new best friend on all his crime lord endeavors while he drags Jason to also attend collage with him. They are roommates and there never seems to a mention of family from either side. It’s an unspoken understanding they have. They met because Crime alley as a ghost lair thrummed with so much loneliness, it was at first the perfect place for Danny to hide his ecto signature in. But then he saw the dumbass whose lair it was lean his motorcycle just a tad too much when making a sharp turn to an alley, he sweeped the floor through a lifted chain link that passed his body but not his helmet. Yep that’s right the red thing got stuck. Danny who at the moment happened to be watching through his window snorted. Much to his horror because if not a ghost that dude could’ve gotten his head flung off.

Still, the scene was ridiculous.

On a whim he irrationally sees the police closing in on the guy and panicked at the thought of the guy using intangibility to free himself so Danny phased them both through his apartment wall and left the guy sprawled in his couch. Jason didn’t freak out but that’s normal when one’s got a concussion, one the guy immediately denied having as Danny laid out the medical supplies. The idiot proceeded to almost flatten four steps to the door with his stubbornness. He also said “I’m asexual” in the most deadpan voice as Danny dropped him back in the couch.

Danny sighed. Clearly though, he’d done so too early in the night because the guy kept trying to go, kept trying to knock Danny out, kept trying to slash him with knifes Danny didn’t know he had stashed. He’d only disarmed the guy from his guns. The visible ones apparently, cause at one point the guy did take out a gun and shoot until the ammo ran out and then teetered the thing like it was an art prop and hit his moon lamp.

Danny "yeah you aren’t officially my friend until you’ve tried to kill me" fenton my guys.

Anyways both keep having the same argument over if Danny technically kidnapped Jason or not. Danny holds the fact that the police at least didn’t see the guy make the ridicule. Jason argued that happened cause he was sporting a concussion. Danny argued he got that after.

Jason at first thinks the guy's a meta, but no. Danny introduces himself, sheepily now that he recognizes this is who the lair he invaded is from. He bandages him and tries to cook for him. If Danny didn’t have ice powers he most certainly would’ve burned the apartment. Jason then proceeds to kick him out of his own kitchen and make them both enchiladas. It’s the most normal both had in a while with another person and the air seems oddly settled. From then on, Jason constantly invited himself over, under the pretense that this was his territory and therefore he could drop in unannounced. Danny who has actual powers says he only allows this because Jason cooks very well.

Danny stays away from the crime fighting business unless his buddy is in deep shit he can’t get himself out. Also it’s Danny’s turn to cover for his vigilante friend which Sam and Tucker give him so much shit for. (but also advice)

And they were roommates. (omg) Danny effectively derails Jason’s big comeback plans by casually dropping ghost lore every two days. Like,

Jason, talking about how he doesn’t want Bats snooping on his territory:

Danny: Just don’t let them in

Jason: ??

Danny: yeah!! Hasn’t Batman died and got revived??? You can totally kick out death touched people you don’t want entering on your lair.

Jason: …I can?

Danny: Yep dude, your lair’s supposed to feel safe.

Jason: wait does that mean I can kick you out?

Danny: First this is my apartment. Second, im dead, not dead touched. Third, it’s too late to get rid of me. bitch.

Anyways Jason is super excited. You mean to tell him he can actually deny people over to his territory haunt?? (Yes it’s only to people who have died and came back but still!! The sample size is exactly the type of people he doesn’t want to see—!)

Joker my beloathed can’t step foot in Crime Alley.

(Jason’d feel a lot safer if the clown was dead but the possibility of his murderer turning into a ghost and their little loophole not applying on the clown is too scary to contemplate.)

Anyways, Jason loves experimenting with the power. It can go from simply making people shudder and not want to enter crime Alley to straight up not letting them enter like there’s an invisible wall blocking the way.

Jason because he’s hurt that Bruce never even patrols Crime Alley and also because he’s petty put B under the category of “invisible wall” blacklist. His reasoning is that the man doesn’t even attempt to enter Crime Alley. To him it’s surely just a place shadowed in tragedy. (anyways that’s it’s the place he met Jason)

Ironically, Jason totally forgets that Batman does venture into Crime Alley one day in the whole year. The day he met Jason.

Okay. He didn’t forget at first. The first year Jason remembers cause it was only a few months till then but then the next— Jason forgets that today’s the anniversary of the day’s Bruce’s parents died. He forgets to allow B in when he feels a slight tug and dismiss the feeling that prompts Bruce to investigate because he literally can’t enter Crime Alley. He starts the trialsTM, he scouts on the very edge and sees people the whole day enter and get out and cross with no problem but Bruce can’t.

It’s literally just Bruce.

Time to call Constantine, i guess.

i've had these scenarios written down since volo's debut in pokemon masters and i just really wanted to scribble them down and finally release them

Jayce is with Mel because it's easier. A queer reading of his relationship with Mel and Viktor reveals this dynamic: Viktor's declining health serves as a painful reminder of Jayce's original HexTech goals, yet he's pulled into the politics and trade that he finds easier to navigate.

Jayce struggles between focusing on trade and his true purpose, easily swayed by what feels simpler. His personal relationships mirror this; he connects with Mel due to their similar social standings—both are affluent and politically involved—while Viktor, from the Under City, is different in background and is disabled.

Jayce frequently shifts between Mel and Viktor, exemplified when he leaves Mel after their fling to visit Viktor in the hospital. In the painting scene (heaven's forbade I ever remember what happens each specific episode) scene, while discussing Viktor's prognosis with Mel, she distracts him by sharing her own trauma. I'm not sure if I want to consider this morally unsound, because I understand why Mel would do that, but the point is she did distract Jayce from his own issue.

In that same scene Jayce claims that nothing feels impossible with Mel, highlighting his comfort in her presence. Although he, dare I say, is in love with Viktor, his anxiety about his condition prompt him to seek solace in Mel. And that's just because that's how Jayce's character is. He's self-serving, and making an effort to protect his emotional state.

Currently thinking about Artemis's will in the code at the bottom of TLG and how it really kinda shows how strained his relationship with his dad still is. Everyone else gets something they're interested in or that Arty thinks they'd like (sound system for Juliet, frozen chicken for Mulch, ethical investments for his mother, etc) and yet for his father he leaves only bearer bonds, despite Artemis I trying to move away from a money-focused enterprise and lifestyle as of TEC. Not to mention it's Butler who would know how to disengage all the booby traps protecting said bearer bonds, further highlighting the difference in trust & familiarity Artemis has with everyone but his father.

sometimes I think about how the book that contained John wasn't meant for Arthur.

At any point in time, before it reached Arthur and Parker's office, anyone could open it. It could have been Noel before he sent it. It could have been Roland. It could have been the guy from the bookstore or a random customer. It could have been even just Parker.

But it was Arthur who opened up that book, it was Arthur who miraculosly survived and it was Arthur who managed to retain most of his body. Out of all people who held this book in their hands it was Arthur who eventually got John.

And sometimes I think how much does this fact matters towards John's journey to humanity. Considering that Kayne only talked about other Arthurs and Johns I can only assume that only they managed to get as far(or as far as they could)

Just....this idea that neither Arthur nor John were meant for each other. If fate was a little bit different, they would completely miss each other. John would be in some other body and maybe he wouldn't even be "John". And Arthur would be still in Arkham, working as an PI (even if he continue to do so)

They weren't meant for each other, but the idea that despite that they are ultimately perfect for each other. Because only if it's them they manage to get this far. Only if it's them they manage to continue their journey. Only if it's them they are on the path to becoming a better version of themselves.

And I think that this particular instance of them being two different entities that ended up together by a stroke of fate but despite that managed to carve something beautiful is super annoying to Kayne. Considering how much he states himself as the one who controls the narrative, who can change the location and time and fates of characters how he wants - THIS ONE moment he didn't change. It just happened. And we deal with waves that this caused.

grian and scar have now both been in opposite positions to the original 'cactus ring', and it's so interesting to compare their attitudes to sacrifice on both ends. whether or not scar threw the fight in the cactus ring, he did offer for grian to kill him before it began. grian declined this, but was clearly fighting with the intention to win during the fight itself – he's giving scar a chance, but not sacrificing.

in secret life, scar's on the other end of things. he's fighting another winner – who herself has been sacrificed for previously – and, like grian, is going into what he assumes to be a fair fight... but which is in his favour due to the others' willingness to sacrifice themselves for him. this is a common pattern for winners: in whichever order, they take the win once, and are once willing to sacrifice themselves to let another take it.

cut to wild life.

this time, it's grian in the final two once more, yet again against an – albeit more distant – ally. he's got a win under his belt already, so you might expect him to do what pearl did, what scott did, right? sacrifice their chance at glory to let another taste it for the first time.

and yet:

"I'm going to have to kill Joel"

"Can I win this? I worked so hard on this series, I'd love to win it!"

because here's an important thing about life series!grian: though he's willing to even the playing field, he's not willing to sacrifice – not when it matters. pledge your loyalty to right a wrong, yes; give lives to gain allies hours, yes; refuse others' sacrifices to fight on fair terms, yes. but in the end, no matter how much he wants to stick with friends, no matter how bad he feels about it, no matter how may "i'm so sorry"s he gives – he will put his own life first, in the end.

there's a reason he's the reason for so many of his allies' deaths, after all. and in its contrast, the wild life finale showcases this beautifully.

(and for the record, i don't see anything wrong with this from an out-of-univere perspective – it's been 5 seasons and 3.5 years since Grian's last win, and even if it hadn't been, it's the CCs place to judge fairness, not ours.)
