Couldnt be bothered to take my drawing tablet out but i needed to scrawl my thoughts so have these rough sketches for an au where Wyll is an actual half-devil but Grand Duke Ravengard is still his father. I imagine the story behind that gets real messy and I’m so here for it.

At first it started off as a joke role-swap au where Wyll is the pact maker instead of the warlock but because Wyll isn’t Wyll without his good-nature, he’d be a chaotic good cambion who’d specifically pact with evil aligned characters to force them to do good as their patron. Then I stopped to think about the ramifications behind Wyll being a half-devil and realized how much that would solidify and expand his daddy issues. Also, Wyll with more devilish features would be hot.

percy doing better than annabeth in college is one my favorite developments in the rrverse. if we reflect on percy and annabeth's academic upbringing. annabeth living at camp allowed her to receive accommodations for her adhd and dyslexia and surround herself with like-minded campers who had the same limitations. whereas percy was ridiculed, belittled, and routinely humiliated because of his adhd and dyslexia. even more so, percy's friends and family leave him out of the loop on so many important issue (no chb orientation film, no information about the great prophecy) which perpetuates his subpar confidence and self-esteem in his skills as a student and a demigod. but going to college at NRU changes his mindset because he receives the accommodations he should have gotten years ago and fucking thrives to the point of getting higher grades than annabeth — a person he deems way smarter and more prepared than him in every way. the most important thing percy is learning now is that a supportive environment makes all the difference, and he is more capable than he initially thought.

Duke meeting the JL but it goes wrong.

We've all heard about Jason getting apprehended by the JL because they don't know Red Hood isn't a villain. Now get ready for, Duke Thomas getting apprehended by the JL because they don't believe he's new and they don't believe he's part of the bat clan.

They just see this new vigilante in Gotham who's the only one that works the day shift, has not been seen with the batman in person (that they know of, bc they don't actually have a pair of good eyes in Gotham that isn't Bruce and Bruce ain't telling them shit.) with no history of being a Robin.

They draw their conclusions, realize that this must be a copycat and therefore dangerous towards other and himself and decide to bring him in, because Bruce is of world somewhere.

Duke just lets it happen, faintly complaining about racial profiling while he waits for the rest of the family to break into the watchtower and embarrass the fuck out of the justice league.
