Decided to watch Spirit for the first time in ages and ages and kinda...realized why I stopped watching it?

As a kid...it's always in the back of your head that when you and your friends grow up, you're gonna be able to change the world. To take over from these stupid adults who obviously have no idea what the fuck they're doing. And you see movies like this and go "see we'll fix that! We'll do better"

And you grow up, and you realize fighting greed is nye on impossible. That adults have been fighting this fight...for hundreds and hundreds of years, barely making baby steps towards progress. And movies like this go from "fun heroic story" to "look at this shit! Wasn't that messed up?...anyways" and they're just.....sad
