It's sad for haikyuu to reach it end. But it remind me of the time when naruto manga end. In fact I still re watching naruto up till now.

And haikyuu anime still on going! We still have the national arc and final arc to be animated. So there're stil reason for us not to be sad!

haikyuu is literally that maybe the real victory were the friends / “connections” we made along the way kinda story but like. it works and it’s wonderful and with volleyball as its medium it’s just all kinds of absolute masterful visual storytelling and i can’t! stress this!! enough!!!! im gonna miss my haikyuu mondays so bad and my weekly close-reading, my nerding out over panels (the art, the images you can almost hear, the ACTION, the character!! desIGN!!!!) the breaking down over 2d characters, the love/hate with translations haha, the weekly paranoia over spoilers on twitter, the overthinking over this or that quote hahahahahaasddfghjkl JUST. I’M GONNA CRY

Thankyou for 8 years.

All good things come to an end, and I feel like I was blessed with the opportunity to witness the conclusion of a series that is very dear to my heart. Haikyuu!! is a story that I've been following for years, I've grown alongside the characters and learnt so much from them as they also faced their own hardships.

Hinata Shouyo, who unintentionally inspired those around him with his undeniable passion and need for improvement, Kageyama Tobio, who faced his own internal conflict and learnt to accept himself in order to grow. Our two protagonists who challenged those around them and chased after their dreams, they are truly amazing.

There are many moments and characters throughout Haikyuu that have touched or inspired me in some way. A particular moment that struck me, happened in the earlier chapters, when we looked into the perspective of those who had lost. Those, who tasted the bitter regret and defeat, because they didn't try their best.

"If only I'd worked a little harder. If only I'd done a little more, back when I had the chance. If only I'd worked out a little more, ran a little harder. If only I'd done a little better, as team captain. If only I'd tried harder, to get that one ball. If only I'd tried harder, to take that one last step. Maybe I would have been able to play volleyball a little longer."

This moment stood out to me, and I was reminded of it near the end of the series, when all the characters we'd watched grow, also faced their own defeat.

"You are the defeated, what will you become tomorrow?"

I've connected with many of the characters, and learnt so much from them. Although he's a character that only appeared for a short amount of time, Sakusa Kiyoomi instantly caught my interest. And when we delved into his philosophies, I was truly touched, and I relate to them. I've written a very long analysis on Sakusa's philosophies, but I'll spare you the essay =w=

That being said, thankyou, Furudate, for 8 years, for Haikyuu, for everything. Thankyou for your precious story, I'll cherish it and remember it fondly as I continue to grow.
