hi! i’ve decided to move all my haikyuu happenings to THIS PLACE just to keep things organized. i’m not going to delete all the ones i’ve posted on this blog, but from now all my haikyuu-related shit will be uploaded there. it’s really just more for compiling all my works and stuff. (just sayin if you followed me for my haikyuu works imma redirect you to that instead hahaha i mean this blog you’re reading this from was really supposed to be just for my personal rants and feelings and shit i wasn’t expecting that i’d end up getting too invested on making haikyuu fan art lollll)

haikyuu is literally that maybe the real victory were the friends / “connections” we made along the way kinda story but like. it works and it’s wonderful and with volleyball as its medium it’s just all kinds of absolute masterful visual storytelling and i can’t! stress this!! enough!!!! im gonna miss my haikyuu mondays so bad and my weekly close-reading, my nerding out over panels (the art, the images you can almost hear, the ACTION, the character!! desIGN!!!!) the breaking down over 2d characters, the love/hate with translations haha, the weekly paranoia over spoilers on twitter, the overthinking over this or that quote hahahahahaasddfghjkl JUST. I’M GONNA CRY

i just discovered whiteboard tonight through this gen z anitwt account i’ve been following. she let her followers doodle we’re mostly haikyuu fans and i wanted my doodles to be the biggest ones im competitive that way, they turned out okay i guess, also i am totally, despicably just procrastinating i am not ready to work on shit

(ok aside from the big one top left which is obviously from the manga, the others were based off images i only screencapped a long time ago from google, will look for them and credit the artists once i do)

if y’all are still interested to see, here’s my finished Sakusa lookalike for a client project hahaha. ok so anyway, our client changed their mind and decided to change directions instead so it’s not gonna be used anymore. that’s like a major bummer but i’m not even mad; i got to draw Sakusa with a derp face holding a condom and viagra pills in his hands. this has been fun

OKAY, so I mentioned last time how it’s sometimes fun to draw Sakusa’s hair, right? And now I was just in the right mood to make a sketch out of him again because I don’t know the urge to draw Sakusa’s hair just kicked in out of nowhere?? Except right now I got work to do too and so you know what I did...I simply drew one of the characters in this ad I’m doing with Sakusa’s hair :( And I mean LIKE. SAKUSA KIYOOMI. SIX-FOOT-FOUR OUTSIDE HITTER OF THE MSBY BLACK JACKALS. IS GETTING THE SAME DERP-FACE TREATMENT AS OUR OTHER CHARACTERS. :(

(His face is like that because I’m doing an ad for a website that sells condoms and birth control pills and other rh stuff hahahaha. Can’t share the full artwork yet right now because it needs to be posted first, but you can check out our client’s instagram to see some of my illustrations!)

I can imagine Sakusa’s hair being kinda fun to draw sometimes but like you really gotta be in the mood. Also I’m convinced post-ts Sakusa uses some kind of hair product so it stays nice.
