I really like your writing style. Do you have any literature you can share that you use as inspo?
going to start by disclaiming that from a specifically stylistic approach, i don't know if i have any writers that are distinctly similar. i do have writers that i find inspiring, though! if none of these are helpful for style, i hope they can inspire you in the same way that they make me aspire to achieve fantastic things with my writing :) i am always a poet first and foremost, whether it's poetry or prose (which is often just poetry hiding in a longer form), so most of my recommendations are poems; i have a few books at the end, though, just in case. everything that i link here should be free to access!
i am like 90% sure that anyone seeing this will already know that i keep all my poetry over at @trickstersaint, but just in case you're coming direct from a quiz, that's the place to read more of my writing! now. onto my list of a bunch of other trans poets with tumblr platforms 🖤
keaton st. james (@boykeats), i think, was the first modern poet that i really found and loved. stumbling across some of his dictionary poems as a younger poet was so revolutionary to me, and reading his poetry changed the way that i thought about and approached poetry as a whole. inspiration in the way of seeing the things that someone can do with poetry. opening up all the limits. this is what every good poem will do for you a little bit, i think, but keaton st. james is always my first recommendation for a modern poet. highly recommend his collections growth and light (i personally really love light. guy who is normal about religion voice) and rural boys watch the apocalypse is to me what that one richard siken poem about being in a car with a beautiful boy is to everyone else haha
other poets whose work i really enjoy and admire include silas denver melvin (@sweatermuppet) and dante émile (@orpheuslament)! recommending the poems an impractical marvel and dioscuri from them, respectively. sweatermuppet also has a full collection called grit, and orpheuslament has one called misplaced organs and various saints (this particular one isn't free but linking it here!) :)
my favorite poem since high school has been gravity by maura o'connor. life-changing. that poem is just like me for real.
for more of a narrative style, if you've read + liked my piece aromanticism, i definitely recommend with those we love alive by porpentine! really gorgeous twine piece with a kind of mysticism to it that could definitely tie back into the kind of stuff you'd see in my little quizzes too :)
if you're looking for actual literature-as-in-books, i can point you towards our wives under the sea by julia armfield and white is for witching by helen oyeyemi. both are novels that i've enjoyed for their kind of eclectic and poetic writing recently! i will also take any chance to recommend my favorite book, which is the hours by michael cunningham; regardless of similarity or inspiration, i find the writing of this book gorgeous and heartbreaking and i think it scrapes at the human condition in a way that draws blood. gently. if you know what i mean.
i hope this was helpful! i constantly feel as if i don't read enough poetry so if anyone has any suggestions they want to give me. i am more than happy to hear them <3 happy reading everybody!

Loki surveilling the skyline of New York from the top of Stark Tower and clocking that his favorite paired set of buildings are gone. sad
#everyone wants thor and loki to have visited earth a bunch of times and obviously they wouldn't be too invested in earth politics#but i think the concept of much time passing between visits should be taken advantage of#like what if one of them missed seeing the statue of liberty on their past 3 visits and now that's 'suddenly' a famous historic landmark#Loki like wow I sure hope that restaurant in the Soviet Union is still around!#and Natasha's head whips around so fast like you mean Russia or one of the surrounding countries that used to be part of the USSR#Loki: uhm. well. what's the difference#Natasha: here is a map of the countries does this help#Loki: it does not help but thank you for trying#Thor: what do you mean Rome is gone???? Rome was HUGE?????#Tony: well it's been a few centuries since then Europe is very different now#Thor: (visibly distressed) so the the sweet effeminate men enjoy the streets no more??#Tony: ...I don't keep track of foreign border laws about that#Thor shows up after 3 years and there's a new president and he's very confused through the entire meeting#brodinsons being so detached from the political scene but being so used to realm politics they come to correct conclusions about things#even though the timeline and how long things stay the same on midgard still messes with them#Loki: at least Egypt is still around#Thor: China also#Brodinsons visiting New Zealand(Aotearoa)/Australia/various British mandate islands before the British formally showed up#returning 2 centuries later and 'the gene pool has altered drastically' 'must've been a war'#well it's either that or since Asgard seems spared of colorism they treat all humans as the same and don't notice. which might be worse#on the colonisation and liberation side of things

Imagine if Kirby: Triple Deluxe got the Deluxe remake treatment like RtDL, but instead of the outlines and stuff, we got a paintery, storybook-looking remake to let its settings flourish, like if it were something lineless by someone like Suyasuyabi427 (not on Tumblr), @arcaidee, or @desultory-novice. And (assuming an Amazing Mirror sequel including this next part would be too much to ask for, even though that would be one of the greatest games ever) also Taranza's closure arc for the Epilogue mode like he's deserved for the past decade. Someone once said we should have the five stages be the stages of grief, and I agree with that.
That's it. There's my pitch. Hire me, HAL (maybe)

would Tom Cruise be a good Tony Stark
Well damn, Anii. You've asked me The Question. Right to the chase. And you didn't even buy me dinner first.
To put it bluntly, no. This is no criticism to TC's acting chops of course, the thing just is, Tony Stark is an incredibly, extremely, tremendously difficult character to play.
The reason being, Tony Stark can VERY EASILY become an unlikeable, hard to empathize with character. (It's the point of why he was created - look it up, it's fascinating. He was an experiment meant to make an unlikeable character likeable). This is mostly due to his cocky outer persona. There's an inner kindness and empathy to him that's VITAL to his character. And if the audience can't see that in him, they won't be able to connect with him.
RDJ is so perfect for the role because he is so similar to Tony Stark in so many ways. He had a redemption story that mirrored the character's, so he was able to empathize. He also operates in a very similar way to Tony. He's very charismatic and sharp, but he's genuinely a kind human being.
It's much easier to play a character that's very similar to who you are as a person. So for a character that's as hard to play as Tony Stark, it fits to cast someone who has had a similar experience.
I don't doubt Tom Cruise's ability to look inside a character and give them a heart and an inner life separate from the outer persona, and make them 3 dimensional, as we've seen him do this before.
I just think that because Tom Cruise is Tom Cruise, we would watch Tony Stark (played by TC), and it would be very difficult to look past his outer persona and see that inner kindness shining underneath.
Also, RDJ is the only person in the world who can play Anthony Edward Stark aside from me. Hope this helps <33

Giles calls a phone sex line. Jenny finds out.
this is for @beatriceeverytuesday, because we were having a conversation today about a whole lot of different fics and things, and somehow that led to me going "i want to write a calendiles fic where a phone sex hotline is involved."
suspend your disbelief for this one a little, people. i wouldn't exactly call it canon-compliant.

If you have never heard of Tony Butler or think you've never heard his work playing the bass, please check out at least one or two of the tracks that I've linked to (though, once you hear/realize how good his bass playing is, you'll probably want to hear them all!):
"Wonderland" - Big Country // "My City Was Gone" - Pretenders // "Where the Rose is Sown" - Big Country // "Back on the Chain Gang" - Pretenders // "Girl With Grey Eyes" - Big Country // "Let My Love Open The Door" - Pete Townshend // "In a Big Country" - Big Country // "After the Fire" - Roger Daltrey // "East of Eden" - Big Country // "Here Comes the First One" - Tony Butler
