Bix made for the open shower and began to discard her clothes along the way, pulling her shirt over her head and undoing the button on her pants. Imogen quickly averted her gaze at the sight of bare skin, not trusting herself to overcome any impulses.

"Since when do you care about modesty?" Bix asked.

A small smile came across Imogen's lips. "Since we no longer sleep together."

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Bix shrug as the water came on. "It's nothing you haven't seen before, Imogen."

"Yes, but the context was quite different, wouldn't you say?"

She wanted to look more than anything. The string that tied her to Bix had the strength of a taught chain, pulling her ever closer no matter how hard she dug her heels into the dirt. Imogen grew so weary of resisting. She may as well fight the gravitational pull of the planet.

"I remember that time you watched me work in the yard all day long," Bix said, tilting her head back against the steaming stream of water. Imogen swallowed hard, recalling the exact memory. "After the bell rang and I closed up shop, you followed me home."

"You left the door open."

"And I felt your eyes on me every step I took towards the shower, on every piece of clothing I left on the floor... All the way to the bathroom."

Imogen shut her eyes and returned to that night, picturing the shape of Bix's body and the way her skin felt underneath her touch. The craving stirred within Imogen more intensely than she anticipated as an all too familiar ache flared below her waist.

"And what did I do next?" she uttered in a low tone.

"You came in after me," Bix answered.

At last, Imogen allowed her gaze to find the mechanic. She did one slow, shameless sweep over Bix's form, admiring the shape of her just how she remembered it and following the endless trails of water up her body until their eyes finally met. Everything went so still for a few torturous beats.

"Context," Imogen stated.

Okay, The Dark Fortress Au concept: The boys let a sorcerer in and they curse the boys and transform for them into monstrous skeletal dragons and like they're able to shift down into anthropomorphic dragons at best and the curse is permanent after three years and the MC comes in after the curses due date and unintentionally woos the boys and I'm a sucker for angst and dragons so.

Oh my goodness! Dark Fortress my beloved! I keep meaning to write something more for this but I haven't had the motivation. I think you're referencing Beauty & The Beast? The parallels kinda match up so I'm rolling with it. I may have decided to try writing a little drabble cause this idea is very interesting to me...

The Dragons of The Dark Fortress

You didn't have many happy memories. In fact, your childhood had been ripped away when your country was conquered by a mysterious dark warlord. You had been lucky enough to escape but you didn't escape unscathed. Your mind was forever marked by the horrors you'd witnessed and tragically, you lost nearly everyone you'd ever known.

You swore to avenge what had been stolen from you. For years, you trained, honing both your mind and your body. You taught yourself how to wield a sword and how to fight.

Then, you set off for the Dark Fortress. You only brought your weapons, armour, and what supplies you would need for the journey. You weren't planning to return even if you did slay the dark warlord. There just didn't seem to be anything worth living for anymore.

The fortress itself was a lot larger than you remembered, being more akin to a mountain than a castle. Still, you were undeterred and continued onwards until you found yourself at the main gates. It took some time to scale the wall and you had to take a moment to catch your breath, but you were so close now.

A few minutes passed while you rested and mentally prepared yourself for the fight at hand. If you were lucky, you'd be able to locate him before he even realized you were here. It could take a while to navigate the passageways though, especially if you were being sneaky.

Just as you were rehearsing exactly how you would run the warlord through with your sword, an ear-splitting roar rang out. You turned just in time to spot a large blur whoosh past before it began to circle above you. You felt your stomach drop at the sight of the large beast that could only be one thing - a dragon.

It didn't give you time to come up with a plan before diving back down again.

You dodge rolled to the side, just barely avoiding his snapping teeth.

Unfortunately, you weren't fast enough to avoid it's wings or claws and you were dragged from the wall as the beast tumbled down into the courtyard. The impact knocked the wind from your lungs and it took a moment to orientate yourself.

You were pinned beneath one of the dragon's feet and it's claws felt like they were nearly digging into your flesh. It hurt to breathe and you could barely inhale without those razors pressing in further.

The dragon seemed at least partially skeletal, most noticeably in the head, but it's eye sockets were completely empty. A black substance was also perpetually leaking from it's sockets and dripping to the ground.

The beast leered closer until it's snout was nearly pressed against your face. You swear it seemed to grin at how terrified you were, as if it was enjoying tormenting you like this.

There wasn't anything you could do. You'd lost your sword in the fall and this beast was about to tear you limb from limb. You closed your eyes, resigning yourself to your fate.

"Stand down, Dirk."

The pressure on your body suddenly shifted and you risked looking around to see who the voice belonged to.

The dragon that had previously been pinning you to the rough stone was crouching not far away. It still had that unbearable grin plastered across it's skull but at least it didn't seem interested in mauling you anymore.

There was a large shadow cast from behind and when you turned to look, realized it came from another dragon. This one was larger and it's scales seemed to be covered in a tar-like substance. It only had one visible eye, with the other being engulfed in the tar, and it's cyan eyelight seemed to bore through you. With the way it's wings were folded over it's body and the way it held itself, you had a feeling this one was the leader or at least the stronger of the two.

Catching movement up above, you spotted two more dragons perching on the ramparts that were similar in appearance to the first one, although they had different coloured eyelights and one was missing a horn. All eyes seemed to be on you and the air felt charged with tension.

You turned your eyes back to the black dragon and slowly stood up.

It stared at you before leaning down and inhaling your scent. "What brings you here, mortal?" it rumbled.

Somehow, you managed to steel your nerves and keep from stuttering. "I came to avenge my country."

It tilted it's head and studied you for a moment. "All by yourself?"

You felt a wave of anger bubble up in your chest at it's taunting tone of voice. However, before you could retort, the black dragon chuckled.

"I admire your courage, however foolish it may be. Do you truly think you can slay me?" It stood up to it's full height and slowly spread it's pock marked wings in an intimidating display.

You shuddered and took a step back, only to bump into the dragon still behind you.

The black dragon stalked closer. "I thought not," it growled. "However, I can sense a darkness in your soul..."

You felt like you couldn't move, much less speak, or it would eat you alive.

"Pledge yourself to me and I will give you a new purpose..."

What else could you do but agree?

Oh he wouldn't. Smoke would do EVERYTHING and ANYTHING in his power not to tell you the truth, no matter how many times he has to lie to your pretty face.

Soon or maybe later, the truth comes knocking at your door since a rival mafia kidnapped you in hope to have Smoke's head. When he gets you back, he inevitably reveals all the lies he told you, swearing he just wanted to protect you.

Spade

Even though Spade hates to say he's in the Mafia, sooner or later he would tell you. He hates lying to those he cares about and just thinking about you getting hurt because of him makes him guilty.

I mean.. it's not like he or anyone can hide it forever.. leaving early in the morning and coming late at night almost every day.. it's not really something a normal job requires..

Butch

You two most definitely met at a bar know for having mafia activity, to add Butch literally snapped a guy's head because he didn't like the way he talked to him. If you didn't know then you're straight up dumb traveler.

He and his brother definitely have more enemies than any other of the skeletons, so even if you didn't know, he's telling you for you to keep your guard up at all times. And to carry a gun too, just in case.

Boss

Well... We can say you kinda already knew what his job was, since you were literally kidnapped by mistake..

But if you two had met like normal people- without kidnappings, he would still tell you. Boss doesn't like keeping secrets to his loved ones, especially the ones you've been questioning him about.

Lucky

Even if he tried, his "little" secret would come shooting at him during one of the times he brought you out. Because that's what happened.

He could always lie and say it's just because he's rich and people want him to this money- but he's questioning your safety, so, Lucky reluctantly sets you down and explains the truth.

Bee

He'd try to keep his involvement as working for the Mafia as distant as possible, Bee doesn't want you to know since he thinks it's gonna make you realize all the expensive gifts he ever gave you were earned with dirty money, not hard work like he always made it seem like.

He's also scared you'll look at him differently knowing what he does, maybe even break up/divorcing not wanting to be apart of the mess his enemies and the police can cause.

pirate au go brr. sorry quick lore drop about this au

so it starts with moleswift(DUH...) as pirates they were first mate and his captain (swifts) captain, they were probs looking for something to make them immortal idk fountain of youth pirates of the Caribbean core, they find it they drink from the fountain and mike dies almost instantly compared to norton and he has to get traumatized to see him die in his arms

Norton realizes he is immortal under the full moon like he's full skelly under the light, so he's just actually a dead man walking. Mike's dead tho but he gets another form of immortality (constant reincarnation)

Anyway, norton and every iteration of Mike throughout 500 years

< soul and sparrow - i think this was his ronald of ness era where he was still trying to hide the fact he was immortal so he kept changing his identity, the first ever time he met another mike that found in a barrel at like 19 years old.. maybe idk, sparrow grew part of his Golden Rose crew, during the whole time… and mike looked up to him as his captain.. until smth more… Ronald projected swifts the most on sparrow, and honestly ended up having to leave him when sparrow was realizing that norton wasnt aging at all since they met, he had to leave him bc he was having an existential crisis about being immortal and not aging at all anymore no matter how he tried to hide or ignore it, so he left sparrow (and the crew, basically fakes his own death.) this is when he just embraces his immortality at this point, after being kind of a recluse for a while

< cocoa and soul - maybe 100 years after sparrow, and hes given up trying to fake his identity, he has the face paint and everything, hes mostly known as soul now.. cocoa is the owner of an inn and he meets him every time he docks at his towns port, hes nice to him kind.. much softer than sparrow or swifts, but still as cocky and confident in himself (he notes that this mike smokes) cocoa lets him stay over whenever he wants to (hes trying not to get attached to this mike , so hes thankful for the fact that hes not a pirate or a sailor, just someone he can come home to any time, his light house per say.) he didnt have to do a painful goodbye with him, just a letter and the occasional sack of gold and jewels to spoil his favorite chef.

<pomegranate mike, and soul honestly pomegranate was probably part of a traveling merchant boat that got destroyed at sea, luckily souls crew was around to fish them out of the water, this mike tho wasnt interested in anything that he had to offer preferring the life of being free with his guild at sea or anywhere, he loved to entertain but staying with soul probably felt like a cage. he probably asked soul to take them to the nearest port, hes was a nice equally fun mike, but wasnt interested or too scared to commit to soul. (Wahh da one that got away) soul respects him, of course, but it cant be denied he was hurt over this. and he grew a little bitter because of it.

<cunning and soul.. - at this point 300 years passed already…pomegranate was the last mike he found and he didn't stay with him long and let him go without fighting because thats mikes choice man WHATEVER anyway, this is nortons sad emo boy era or as i like calling it weezer norton era. he became relentless, ruthless and his name was known through the seas, hes travelled the world at this point and his immortality has never failed him yet. he learned magic from patricia at one point, and now he has a crew of ghosts he necromanced into life to man his ship,- really kicking up the visuals in my head here but he has a literal ghost ship, its a physical ship but everyone on board is probably a ghost or a zombie (WHATEVERR MY AU MY WORLD BUILDING I SAY THEY EXIST.) anyway (onepiece reference i guess) when he saw cunning in one of the meetings for idk pirates or smth, tagging along with hollow (also a pirate bitch on his ass for the past years hes annoying as hell), he ws down right pISSED. (he hasnt seen a single mike reincarnation in 300 years, hes tried sleeping around getting over him, but NOTHING really compares to his soulmate.)

BUT anyway basically, in this au Hollow is looking for Alice (eternity whatever) and Soul knows where she is so he makes a bargain, he'll give Hollow Alice in exchange he gives him of of his most trusted men. (Points at cunning.) IF he gives him Alice in a pretty little bow for him, he can have cunning for himself.

Cunning is like "pft. Yeah right. You're not gonna find her before we do." And soul is just smiling (horny depressed and has been blue balled for years at this point, u don't know what this guy can do) so he just smiles.

Hollow, surprisingly agrees. "OKAY if u find her before we do I'll give my end of the bargain." Cunning is a little upset at this, but he's determined he'll find Alice before soul. (eermmm)

Soul wasn't lying about knowing where Alice was tho, so he kidnaps her and takes her to hollow. Like a sack of potatoes.

"Gimme gimme." smth like that and mike is so distraught about this he's crying, verbatim; " I don't want to be that bag of bones property- I'm not property " but he's already at souls shoulder and he's kicking and screaming. He's such a bitch in this au I LOVEE BITCH ASS CUNNING WHINEY WHORE. nortons kind of an ass here and hes sort of using him as a way to distress the last 300 years away. Before he spoils him with everything hes gotten (for mike.)

So it's just rough hostage core treatment for the first couple of months until he starts using the money he's been hoarding on mike to spoil him.

But anyway, after cunning dies in idk when, 🤷‍♂️anyway when he dies kay the next one and final one is quinlan, he's an immortal vamp/witch and hes the only mike who remembers every mike reincarnations memories, he knows that soul is out there looking for him but he doesn't care about that rn, in this life he's looking for his mom, and ignoring souls horny whale calling in the back of his mind until they inevitably cross paths BEC they are SOULLMATESS AUGRGRHSHAHAGGZ In my head the way they meet went like this "Mole."

soul looking at him in surprise bec ever since someone misheard his name being soul and he grew tired of correcting people its mole, he hasn't heard that name in years. he wasn't even sure if this was his Mike, he doesn't have the blue eyes he used to have they were more green/gold… and each mike he's met always had swifts eyes. So thats why he's like emo. Do u get it anyway, this is their reunion in the middle of an pub that cocoa bean used to run, they standing in front of each other and quin almost looks too relaxed when their EYEESS MEEETTT FUCKKK anyway, "Swift?" and theres just that LOOK thats unmistakably mikes on his face that mole just couldnt help but take him into his arms like a the sad depressed man he is. They kiss and they start sailing together forever until they turn to ashes.

SO and skelly went out for ice cream, someone then bumped into skelly (or something startled them) and made their ice cream drop. SO, being a great datemate, offers them their ice cream instead. Reactions?

Undertale Sans - Aw. Nah, he gives it back to you. He's not a big fan of ice cream in the first place. He appreciates the gesture though. Just walking with you is already enough for his happiness.

Undertale Papyrus - Nonsense! You're not the one who makes the ice cream fall, it's that random person and he's going to explain the situation to the ice cream seller to have a new one. There's no way he's stealing your ice cream.

Underswap Sans - He's embarrassed and gives the ice cream back to you. He's not a big fan of sugary food in the first place. He's still salty about the money he lost though! Ice creams are expensive in this part of the town and he's so mad he didn't get to eat it. He hopes he won't see that guy again because he might tell them what he thinks of that.

Underswap Papyrus - Oh :( Honey looks at the ice cream on the floor, sad. It's probably his fault, he's too clumsy. He's happy when you propose your ice cream but insists you share it. You paid for that, he doesn't want to ruin your fun. He still calls you his hero though.

Underfell Sans - He doesn't hear you, he's too pissed off by what just happened. Red is going to drag the poor guy to the ice cream stand and make them pay for a second ice cream. You stare from a distance, wondering if you should intervene or let him have his moment of glory as he gets what he wants eventually.

Underfell Papyrus - "NO, THAT'S OK. I WAS TOLD A VERY YOUNG AGE THAT GOOD THINGS NEVER LAST LONG IN THIS PATHETIC WORLD." Ok, wow, now you're very concerned and insist he gets your ice cream even more. Edge is very dramatic about it, but eventually accepts to share yours very reluctantly. You swear he's going to be your end someday.

Horrortale Sans - He stares at you with wide eyes. No, he can't do that! That's your food! What if you starve? You still insist he has it. Oak is very touched and ends up taking it like it's the rarest treasure he ever held. He still buys you a gigantic one later that day because the thought you might be starving still stays in his head. And he doesn't want that.

Horrortale Papyrus - What? No! Keep it, it's yours. He always has random things to eat in his pockets, you need your ice cream more than him. You're a bit concerned if he's having a traumatic episode or not as he seems to confuse a bit the Underground and the real world suddenly. You force him to sit for a bit and go to buy another ice cream so you don't stress him more. He's VERY thankful for that.

Swapfell Sans - No. He's grumpy and salty so he's going to be a pain in the butt and says no to everything. He's pouting, and despite being a literal millionaire, you're the one who goes to pay him another ice cream so he stops acting like a child. He wants to refuse it at first, just because, but you give him the big angry eyes and he ends up accepting it. He won't stop criticizing the taste though lol, just to be annoying.

Swapfell Papyrus - What? No! He could never take that ice cream from you. But that's fine because you know what else he has? A brother holding another ice cream. Nox growls at him, protecting his ice cream, but then Rus says that surely Nox wouldn't want Alphys to know the general of the royal guard can throw temper tantrums over ice creams, think of his reputation! Rus ends up having his ice cream, Nox is a jerk with you for the rest of the week despite all of this not being your fault at all. Only Rus is happy in this story.

Fellswap Gold Sans - He gives you a look of pure disdain. What do you think? That he needs your pity? He huffs, continues to walk and completely ignores you. He has his pride, but it's hard to take him seriously with that huge chocolate stain on his white shirt honestly. You prefer not to mention that, you have a feeling he's not going to like it.

Fellswap Gold Papyrus - You got a bit scared he might actually lick the ice cream from the floor. Coffee's eyes shine as you give him your ice cream. Thank you! Thank you, thank you, thank you! He tackles you for a hug. Your ice cream crashes on the floor because of the hug. ... Ah.

"Does your sister frequently miss meals?" Jason asked Danny while the young halfa was shoveling the corner portions of the baked meal into his mouth.

"Huh? Oh, yeah, meeting days especially. She usually spends a few hours after they're all done so focused on making notes about them that she forgets. I usually bring some to her after I'm done." Danny then licked one of the four plates in front of him clean before moving onto the next one.

Jason mulled over a thought as he chewed then swallowed. "I could take it to her? I remember where her office is."

Danny paused in inhaling his food. "Sure, I guess. Probably should bring her some tea too, chances are she's stressed as hell and she could use it. Here, I'll get a skelly to bring a cup of Sam's tension blend." He snapped his fingers and went back to eating.

"Who's Sam? Actually, I meant to ask Jazz, but I can ask you the same question. Will I get to meet the rest of the royal family?"

"Sam's one of my partners, she's the one in charge of the garden outside. My other partner is Tucker, he usually is chilling in his man cave programming and playing video games. As for the Prince and Princess, how much did Jazz tell you already?"

"Their names are Ellie and Dante, ones a clone of you that's a girl and the other is an alternate dimension version of you inhabiting a clone body."

"Cool, I don't have to spare details. Yeah, so they're both traveling the Realms for the foreseeable future. They do have to come back every three months though, so depending on how long you're here for you may get to meet them. You'll probably meet Sam and Tucker later this week, they still have finals, I was able to get mine done early." He finished off his third plate.

As Jason placed his fork on his empty plate, a skeleton came in with another serving of food and a steaming mug. "Guess that's my cue. Have a great night Danny." He stood and retrieved the items from the skeleton and left the room, headed towards the office he had spawned in.

When he reached the door, he knocked and heard a soft "Come in" before opening the door.

"You can just set it on the side table Danny, I'm almost done here." Jazz, in full regalia though the helm-crown was sitting on the desk next to her elbow, didn't look up as she continued writing in her notebook.

Jason chuckled and she froze, eyes wide. "He said you were focused, but I didn't realize how in the zone you'd be." He walked toward her an noticed she was flushed to her ears as she finally looked up at him. "Here, he recommended you have some of this tea, and judging by the line of your shoulders and the frown on your face when I walked in you need it." He set the cup on the desk in front of her and she leaned back in her chair. She didn't move, still frozen and looking at him. He decided to be bolder and, after placing the feathered part of the quill pen she was using as a bookmark in the journal, placed the plate in front of her. He then took the mug and pressed it into her now empty hands.

She took an absent sip of tea, which seemed to snap her out of it and properly savor the sip, her shoulders losing some of their tension and no longer at her ears. "Thank you, yes, he was right, I needed that." She placed the mug on the desk and took up her fork and began to eat. " Where are my manners, please sit, sit." she gestured to one of the chairs that had been pulled in front of her desk, probably from an earlier meeting. "So, how was your day with Danny?"

"It was fun! It's always fun to spar with new people, but especially other heroes. Whenever it is we find my dimension, I really want to introduce him to the hero community, I think it'd be good for him. We have a few royals in the community that you guys can chat about ruling with too." She nodded at that.

"That is, if we can travel easily between the dimensions, stable portals are hard to make, and I'm not sure the schematics for the one going from an outside dimension into the Realms would work the same way as one going out to a specific one." She took another sip of tea before swallowing quickly. "Oh, I meant to tell you, tomorrow we're going to the Far Frozen to find out your classification. It should help us narrow down which dimension you're from. Then we can work on getting you home." She gave him a warm smile before turning back to her food.

Jason sat there for a moment, hands folded in front of him, before he leant forward resting his elbows on his knees. "I'm in no hurry, so far I've enjoyed my time here. I'd like to learn all I can, and depending on if I can come back, I may even look into IRU. I have a feeling that unlike the colleges of my dimension, they wouldn't mind that I'm legally dead." Jazz's face flushed as she glanced between Jason's forearms and his face and back down to her food.

"Yeah, they're a great place, thousands of different majors." She said to her plate.

Jason inwardly smirked to himself. Maybe I do effect her after all? "Is there an introductory book for the Realms?"

She immediately perked up and stood, turning to the bookshelves behind her. She pulled out a large three ring binder, stood in front of him and gestured for him to take it. "I've been working on this since Danny started taking his lessons on Realms history, he would only go if I went too. It's still a rough draft, but this has most introductory knowledge of the Realms and the major locations and peoples." She stood with her hands on her hips, obviously proud.

Jason began to flip through the pages. It had to be five hundred pages long. "This is extensive, but I suppose it's about an entire dimension, so that's to be expected. Thank you." She nodded and went back to her desk.

"I still have a bit of notes to get through before I head to bed, do you mind if I get back to it? I'd like to get to bed at a decent hour tonight."

"Yeah, no problem, mind if I sit on your couch to start reading this?"

"No problem, let me know if you have any questions, okay?"

"Yeah, do you happen to have a notepad and a pen or something that I can use for notes?"

"Oh, yes, one second." She reached for a lower drawer and pulled out a journal identical to the one she was writing in and a red feathered quill pen. "The quill is magic, so it never dries out or runs out of ink."

"Cool, thank you Jazz." He smiled up at her and stepped away.

He will fully admit that when he sat on the couch that he was posing. One leg bent for him to rest the journal on, and propping the binder in front of that so he can easily flip between the two. The other leg extended off the couch as he laid back and lounged, relaxing into it. He enjoyed every time he caught her looking at him out of the corner of his eye for the first twenty minutes until both were so focused on their tasks that two hours went by without either realizing.

Finally Jazz set her quill in its stand and sighed heavily. She stretched her arms above her head, grunting as something popped. Jason set the binder on the side table. He then stood and tucked the journal into his back pocket, and the quill behind his ear.

"Bed time?" He asked.

"Yeah," she sighed again. "I'm making use of my giant bathtub and taking a nice, long, destressing bath, and then I'm going to pass out until the morning where I don't have anything until we take you to the Far Frozen." She said almost mechanically. Jason chuckled again.

"I get that, I've had those days. The world on your shoulders and then finally you have a few hours to yourself. It's the best."

She nodded enthusiastically before putting her journal in one of the drawers and standing herself. She picked up the headpiece and placed it upon her head, her eyes flashed yellow for a moment before it subsided. "Shall we?" she asked, gesturing towards the doors.

"Yeah, sure." They headed out from there, making small talk about things Jason read in the intro guide. Once they got to the split in the halls, they both paused. "I uh, had a nice time hanging out tonight. Next time you just have paperwork to do, do you think I could hang out with you? I know there's plenty of books for me to read."

"Yeah, that'd be nice. I'd like company and most of my options are either unable to stay quiet or work for me."

"Oof yeah, I get that. But for now, goodnight. I'll see you at breakfast?"

"Sounds good to me, have a great night Jason." She turned down the family wing and Jason turned towards his door.

Sans: "huh," he starts out, and doesn't really elaborate much on it. You can hear him chuckle as he watches you try to figure out just what he meant by that. And as much as he would like to admire the way your face looks as you think, he knows this is a serious topic. He takes your hand, touch as gentle as the wind itself before pulling you just a little closer to him.

What? Can't a guy have a nice cuddle whilst talking about his relationship?

It's easy for him to disarm you, to have you relax because he really doesn't want you to feel like you're walking on eggshells around him. He looks calm as ever as you explain but you know better, from the way his touches linger on you and how his eyelights never stray from you. When it's his turn to speak, Sans isn't really much for words, but he makes it known that he's always rooting for you. Once he's in love, he's all in, and he will always show that, one way or another.

Papyrus: Not offended in the least bit. If anything, he would have a deep fascination with your job and how you work. He's into it, the flair, the dramatics, the legs! He thinks it's Very Cool™. Papyrus isn't one to really judge people by their personality, especially when he's had experience of people doing the same to him. Sure, he'd be surprised but it's more so good surprise because... He wants to know more about you, after all.

He'd also be surprised when you express your fear to him, understanding that the way humans and monsters view certain things differently is very much at play here. Papyrus also doesn't care how long you've been together, if it's something you wanna do, he's ready to support you and you will never experience any judgement from him. (Your workouts are gonna be super fun btw, he had Plans™)

Blue: After you tell him, he kinda just... Goes quiet for a bit. It worries you, rightfully so as you find it hard to properly discern his expression. But he moves a step closer to you and holds your hands, first assuring you that you never have to be afraid to tell him anything. Blue would want to make it known as soon as possible that he will be by you no matter what, your safe space, your pillow to fall on.

But he also assures you that he trusts you, anything you want to do is for you to choose but he will support it so long as you're safe and happy. That's all that really matters to him in the end since, well, it's one of the reasons he fell for you anyway, the fact that it's you. (Also would probably point out the pretty outfits you have and if you'd model for him-)

Stretch: Definitely do not tell him while he's eating or drinking because he will choke. He would then panic and say he didn't choke because he was angry or anything like that, he was just... Very surprised. And he is! He just gets extremely flustered at the idea of you doing literally anything (boy is whipped I tell ya). It takes him a while to completely articulate his thoughts because he wants to tell you that's so cool but also wants to tell it's okay and that you're so awesome and-

There's a lot going through his mind, and you're sat there in dumbfounded silence as you watch the orange hue begin to cover his entire skull. But! He does eventually gather his thoughts and tells you that.. Hey, he thinks you're an amazing person and he's loved you far too long for anything like that to get in the way. He trusts you, and he hopes you trust him as much.

Red: "that's hot-" and he stops upon seeing your face and chuckles. He holds his hands up in defense before moving a little closer once you're a little more relaxed. He starts small, holding your hand before explaining what the culture is like from where he is. He's not the best with words, but Red does succeed in getting his message across, that being:

It is your life, you have the right to decide what you wanna do and what you don't wanna do. But whatever it is you choose to do, he's got your back, no matter how "out there" it is or whatever. You want it? You got it and Red will absolutely make sure that you can depend on him for supporting you. (still will tell you it's hot af tho)

Edge: You think he's judging you but really that's just his resting face. He's a little surprised by the fact that you're so... Unsure of telling him. He voices this concern, because to him, these kinds of things were rather normal in the underground. Whatever it was, as long as it was a means to survive. He takes this a little too seriously, not that it is a bad thing, but it can be rather daunting when he's staring you down as you're both seated on your couch.

And the whole thing kinda... Makes you laugh a little.

Perhaps from how nervous you are, from how overly invested Edge is, but.. it's.. Touching. He's rightfully confused, and huffs when he finds out why, feeling a little shy.(but you would never catch him admitting that lmao). The dramatics only last for a while before you gather your thoughts and explain and Edge is.. Very gentle about it. It's one of those moments that make you understand just why you fell for him, how he makes sure that you understand that he would never, ever judge you for that. He respects you, and he will respect the choices you make as long as you're okay.

His brother is very loudly looking down on the two of you and dust papyrus cant help but comment on how sweaty dust is looking

To everyone else he has the exact same neutral look. Even you’re a little shocked at how unfazed he seems to be

Dust doesn’t ever trust your taste in snacks again

You don’t even offer it to him, bro just straight up snatches it before you can put it into your mouth

He regrets doing that though when his mouth suddenly feels like it’s on fire

Killer is so dramatic, he’s rolling around on the floor, gagging and begging for milk.

He’s a good actor at least, luckily you know him well enough to know he’s mostly just acting up for the joke and fun of it all

But of course you’re somehow the only person that can help him

You have a choice,

Help your boyfriend, or watch in joy as he dies from hot chip😔

Nightmare (dreamtale sans):

He only takes the chip because you offer it, not wanting to be rude

Nightmare doesn’t often eat food but when he does he prefers blander foods

Rip nightmares taste buds 🙏😔 he was built for bland porridge and not much else

Once that first kick of spiciness kicks in he very subtlety takes a huge gulp of water and coughs a little

Have mercy on him and be kind😩 if you value his dignity don’t comment on how uncomfortable he looks

Totally random but I thought I'd share this! I've actually made my own AU with the Apple Twins being dragons! Hilariously it's a silly little crossover with Minecraft, where everyone is a different mob!

Anyway Nightmare is obviously an ender dragon but I kind of ran away with things and made up an entirely new Overworld dragon for Dream! (Also for the sake of more dragons there's a Nether variant as well.)

And even better: Ink is something infected by sculk turning INTO a dragon! (Slowly.)

Also Error and his brothers are withers (slightly different from the norm) because Yes.

Now, I've reread your post regarding who's who etc in your au and I must say all of this is even more galactic brain than I already thought at first !!! Sabine/Ezra and Orpheus/Euridice is just genius (Ezra and Euridice are nearly one and the same really xD he would even look absolutely awesome with her tattoos and her clothes) and just all of your ideas match so well with the characters !!! I adore the Armorer as Hades and Satine as Nyx too !! And Cobb very much has Aphrodite's vibes xD I just really love all of the matches *-*

There's just Rex that I'm not sure to who he's corresponding ? Especially since there's two versions of him x'D I understood he was Skelly but I'm not sure (and very random but I had half the thought that IG 11 would be very fun in that role even if he's not in your plans xD) 😅

I don't have a lot of constructive thoughts outside of my excited babbling but I guess that the obols are just credits. And I thought that it could be fun if the nectar was tiingilar, especially since, like every stew, it's a meal made for sharing (in my humble opinion at least). Also I'm not saying that to ask you to draw it, to be clear. Everything you've done and are doing is already insane and amazing, if you tried to convert every details of the game in your au, I think it would just consume you right then and there x'D <3

I've been a little worse than I'd previously thought (who isn't nowadays) but that doesn't matter, what's important is that I'm so HAPPY I could introduce you to Hades and what an amazing game it is!! I'm not that much into games myself, but I could really not recommend enough to try and play it if you can! It's great to watch other people play it (I'd spent weeks watching my partner play when it first came out), but it's also another experience to be the one pressing the buttons for all the interactions ^^ (Hades has also kept me company through some dark times, so I'm extra biased... but then again, it feels so good, even for someone whose general type of gameplay heavily relies on key smashing xD)

I'm so glad you could come back to my "masterpost" on who is who and agree with my take on the characters! I didn't initially set out to make everyone fit in so neatly, so it was a surprise when I could find such nice matches :D

And I'll have to look into slipping a bit more Eurydice into Ezra when the time comes to explore a design for him (I'm still so head empty with that one, so I'm grasping at any ideas and suggestions rn Q^Q)

Rex is one of the most handwave-y characters in this AU, I'm not gonna lie, he's from the time when I hadn't yet put all that much thought into the full line up, and I just really wanted to make two versions of him because I just watched Rebels, fell in love with his stupid beard and didn't have the heart to pick between his two looks XD I tried to give some reasoning for why he is in Skelly's spot in his own post but it was basically two-fold: 1) I wanted to keep him close to Cody (they are a package deal, I refuse to seperate them) and 2) when I opened up the game to take some screenshots for backgrounds, my latest save was right as Zagreus returns to Skelly, and he called him "Captain" and Rex IS THE Captain for me so. Really, the decision was made for me. Why are there two versions of Rex? Don't think too hard about it XD*

(* there is a super handwavy explanation behind it, that would also answer why Omega looks 13 at best, while Boba has just crawled out of the Sarlacc pit and on to Jabba's throne. Some sith/jedi artifact and possibly Palpatine related time fuckery that would mesh really well with Hades2's main villain being Chronos, so I kept telling myself that I don't need an actual explanation aside from "we self-indulge here" but uh... it keeps itching at my brain wheneven I dare to entertain the idea that I might ever reach the end of this art project... and maybe I could glance in the direction of Hades2. Just a teeny tiny bit ^^;)

Also if you take a good look at it IG-11 is actually present in the sparring area next to Rex. I don't know if you've seen it in the lp, but you can unlock Skelly statues there (which I don't remember if they do anything, since I'm stuck with my heat levels around the time where I could unlock the second statue, and it's been ages since the first one was revealed ^^;) and the first one here is IG-11!

I'm not planning to draw it (because I hate fighting Lernie, and I hate everything Asphodel lol) but the hydra was cast as the Krayt Dragon Din fought with Cobb. I thought I was very clever when I came up with that XD

I'm very intrigued by the idea of tiingilar for nectar (I bet they both tingle hehe), especially for that communal aspect of it you mentioned 👀 It's definitely more interesting than me just recolouring it blue and calling it blue milk or whatever because I coudln't come up with anything better on my own XD (Especially if you consider that you can sometimes get more nectar bottles from wht Wretched Broker in their corner in the cantina section of the map!) I got so far as credits and... whatever that fruit is instead of pomegranate. I suddenly forgot all names of every fruit or foodstuff that exists in Star Wars help TT^TT

But also please don't feel like you'd need to come up with any kind of "constructive thoughts" I'm just always very happy to share this AU with you, and I'm over the moon when anyone shows interest in it!

Sans: Look, normally Sans wouldn't do something to help a human. The only reason he helped Frisk out so much was because Toriel asked him to, and they still haven't even gotten them out! Haven't killed anyone either, so Sans was a bit confused. But this was new. A new human fell down, and she was a girl. She was older and so powerful, and the other monsters attacked her, but guess what? She didn't fight back! Like... at all! It was confusing to him, to be honest. She was so strong compared to them, so why wasn't she fighting back? Sans started to follow sneakily, wanting to see what she would do. She got hurt and had some nasty scratches; however, she hadn't tried to hurt or kill any monsters yet, which is nice. But then he noticed something during one of the fights that he hadn't noticed before. A smaller soul, a much smaller one, and still weak. She was pregnant, and... crap! He saw an attack coming for her stomach and before he could stop himself, he teleported in, grabbed her, and disappeared before the other monster could see him. He looks over his shoulder, then down and makes a small oh sound when he sees her staring at him. "Uh... ey, got a stare problem, buddy?" Heh, okay, this was... this was something.

Red: Of course he noticed the girl falling after Rosa! That hadn't happened before, so it caught his attention! Of course his main attention was Rosa, but he couldn't help checking up on the fallen human girl every so often. He noticed during those times that she, just like Rosa, wasn't hurting anyone or fighting back against any of the monsters. Ugh, damn it, he was hoping at least one of them would be bad... eh, whatever. Sometimes he liked poking fun at her for getting hurt, saying that it would be so much easier if she tried to kill them, but she never did. During one of the times he was watching her, he noticed something. Another small souling in her stomach, and he didn't think that she had eaten another human. Crap... He could ignore it. He SHOULD ignore it! Yeah, he didn't. He sent out a bone attack to distract the other monster and ran by, grabbing her hand and dragging her away fast. "Come on, get your stupid legs movin'!" Man, if he got caught, he would be dusted so fast. Majesty wouldn't care that she had a baby... why did he care? Maybe he could ask the lady at the door for some help. Probably could trick his brother into helping him out too.

Blueberry: When he first met the human that fell down, he got so excited! He knew the first one, then another fell? And this time it was a grown one. How exciting! Two humans at almost the same time. Stretch didn't seem as excited, but he didn't care. He greeted the human and helped her out with any of her wounds, then told her that he was going to have to take her to Lady later on. They got separated a few times, and one of the times they met back up, he noticed that she was getting attacked by another monster! He thought about helping, but figured that that would be bad to do! They were training, weren't they? Or... he sighs, shaking his head at the idea. Then he noticed something. During the fight, he saw another souling in her stomach! His eyesockets widened, and he ran forward, holding up his hand, "Stop the fight!" He lowered his hand to make a bone, which knocked her out of the way since the attack was aiming straight for her stomach. "You know the rules. No attacking a souling or anyone carrying one. If Lady found out, you would be charged!" he scolded the other monster, who seemed shocked. As did the human, who sneaked away while he was ranting.

Mal rolls his eyes as he cuts some vegetables, you've been bugging him all week to go to a "haunted house", it was rumored that the old residents were murdered and stayed in the house to hunt whoever dares to enter their residence. For Mal it was all bulshit, but you wouldn't shut up about it, and if there's something Mal loves more than cooking is proving some they're wrong.

So he agreed, and to make it more "scary", he decided to go at 3 am, did he just fuck his perfect sleep schedule to prove someone wrong? Yes.

He didn't even wait for you to arrive, Mal simply walked inside without any worry, grabbing his phone and started recording.

"See (_____)? There's No Such Thing As A Ghost Here!"

"Uh excuse me young man..?"

"Whaaaaaaa-"

Mal's jaw dropped as a not familiar old face appeared behind him.

"May you please speak a bit quieter..?"

The skeleton screamed while holding the phone and ran to the exit, stopping once he was outside and catching his breath. The ghost of an old lady stayed behind looking confused with a yarn ball on her hands.

As you walked inside, Mutt walked right behind you, holding onto your jacket, any creak and noise seemed to scare him, since he was looking behind his back.. just to make sure..

"I don't think this was a good idea (_____)"

No response.

He turns his head to where you were, did he let go of you and you didn't notice? Oh no no no, he turned his head to every side possible while panicking.

"(_____)!? Where are you!?"

"Are you looking for someone, young man?"

Mutt stopped and looked behind him, seeing a blueish-transparent old man staring at him.

"AHHH (_____)!!"

He cried for you as he ran in whatever direction his body was pointed at, almost tripping and falling in the way.

"Mutt?"

He stops at his tracks and looks at you, charging at you full force, wrapping his arms and legs around your body like a pillow and making you two fall to the ground.

"(_____)!! I-i was so scared don't leave me like this never ever again!!"

You look at the doorway, seeing the same man who Mutt saw moments ago, staring at the both of you with a concerned expression .

"Excuse me, is your friend okay? Does he need something? A cup of water with sugar maybe?"

"Uuuuh o-oh no, no, he's okay now..?"

"Alright then, there's an exit next to the kitchen.."

The man's raspy voice is the last thing you hear before he disappears, you sign and grab one of Mutt's cold hands, walking towards what the man told you was an exit, when you two are out of the house, the skeleton drops to the ground, grabbing grass with his arms like he was giving the dirt a hug.

"Please remind me never to come here ever again.."

omg!!!!! so basically it’s a fusion of spider verse and mcu lore with comics sprinkled in as needed for flavor but ultimately it was inspired by my desire to write marvel again!!! i’ve been writing for spidey adjacent things for so long that the universe and the prose/style i use to write it feels homey and i missed it : )) and i’ve been chewing on came back wrong/came back too late for it to matter tropes lately so gwen seemed like the obvious choice lmao. also i wanted to kill peter again it’s been too long <333

tldr; gwen has been resurrected by someone and comes to in a random street with a piece of paper with mj’s address and Hazy memories of her life before she, allegedly, died horrifically. this is all very disorienting, particularly when it’s been a decade since she died in the first place, all of her friends are now real adults, and peter/spider-man recently died in a fight with kingpin.

whoever resurrected gwen also tossed in some fun spidery side effects for take two of her life. and there’s also this new black and red spider-man running around the city??? weird. no idea who that could be.

mj is Losing Her Fucking Mind by the way. not every day you as an incredibly talented actor/a-list celebrity are in the thick of grieving the second untimely death of your best friend and then have the one who died first show up.

so much of gwen’s character (even in spider-verse) revolves around another spider-man, and i wanted to see what her character would do if spider-man was gone and gwen stacy was the one left standing to face the villain. she’ll be totally normal about this, probably.

many characters across different marvel universes showing up and all being observed by an Unhinged teenage heroine clinging desperately to the notion that she can still have the regular life she always wanted while also struggling to not literally break everything she touches you know how it is <333 thank you for asking and i hope that cleared Something up??? but also it’s very possible that this has just created more questions in which case sorry. mwah.

Undertale Sans - It's fine, but as time passes and you grow closer, that is something that he might regret a little. It's fine, you can still adopt and everything, but bonding with a child inside your womb would have been nice too. He's never saying that to you, however, and especially if it's a touchy subject for you. Sans is always careful to not trigger his S/O and he can perfectly live without children anyway.

Undertale Papyrus - It's ok to not have children of your own (he's not a big fan of making babies anyway) but he would love to adopt some and will try to explain to you with a 520-page PowerPoint why it's a good idea to adopt. He's motivated. Pretty please?

Underswap Sans - That's absolutely not a problem for him. He thinks children kinda hold you back and prevent you from doing fun things together. He likes to take his S/O on adventures and having to renounce to that for a kid would sadden him. He's not exactly a good father figure anyway.

Underswap Papyrus - He's disappointed because Honey really wants children on his own. He doesn't blame you, instead, he tries to find other ways. He knows all monsters can technically bear children so, uh... Why not? That's not something he planned in his life and that's not something a lot of male monsters do so they're not a lot of info on the subject, which is making him anxious. But, uh, luckily, Underswap Undyne is also one of his best friends and the scientist is close enough to a doctor? He knows Alphys would be ecstatic to work on this too. It's just an idea. But you know if you ever want to...

Underfell Sans - He doesn't mind either. Having a baby is scary anyway and he's clearly not ready yet to be a father. Maybe after a few years, you two could talk about adoption, but for now Red is really fine being the only baby in the house. And anyway, if you want to mommy something, there's Edge. He never had a mom so feel free to try. You're not sure about that idea honestly.

Underfell Papyrus - It depends on what you think about this. If you don't mind not having any kids, that's fine for him too. If later in your relationship you feel like adopting or using a third person to make a baby, it's fine too. He can even be convinced to bear the baby, but with a lot of talking because that kinda terrorizes him honestly. Edge is not difficult and adjusts to his S/O.

Horrortale Sans - Well, he is infertile too thanks to what Undyne did to him so... That happened. Oak is fine living like this, but if you even brought up adoption, he would gladly accept too. He loves kids, he's just a little nervous about... You know... His memory problems. He doesn't mind and lets his S/O's choose. He doesn't want to pressure them anyway.

Horrortale Papyrus - He's ok with that. He doesn't know if he's infertile with everything that happened to Underground, and he doesn't trust himself enough to have children for now. He's not sure he will be able to do everything a normal father is supposed to do with his disabilities and it's making him nervous. But after a few years, he's a little more ready to talk about this if you want to adopt. He just needs some reassurance it's going to be fine.

Swapfell Sans - He kinda forgot children were a thing that could happen after a few years of relationship and was very surprised when you said to him you're infertile. Ok? What do you want him to do with this info? Oh. He never thought he could be in love someday, so not having children is absolutely not a problem. If you ever want to adopt, you're going to need to prepare him to the idea for a few months lol.

Swapfell Papyrus - He's not sure what the hell you mean because your soul clearly is, he checked. ... He then realizes you're talking about making a physical baby and feels very stupid. Uh. That's ok though because he can be pregnant sort of? If you want a kid, just ask him and he does it, right? Rus doesn't mind at all carrying a child. He actually already planned to sort of do that for Undyne and Alphys since Alphys is infertile. So, uh, it's just one more baby? Why not? You have to sit. That's a lot of weird info you didn't expect all of the sudden.

Fellswap Gold Sans - He doesn't want children anyway so it's really fine for him. Knowing he doesn't have to expect a surprise baby is actually sort of comforting and he's more relaxed in your relationship. Have you seen him anyway? You think he's a father figure?

Fellswap Gold Papyrus - He's fine with it as well. He's not comfortable having children yet and he's too attached to his S/O to give place yet to other members of his family. Maybe later he would be ok to adopt, even though the thought is terrifying him at the moment.
