Soap seeing on of those “smoking is bad for you” ads and it hits him somewhere when he hears how much it can hurt you, so he steals Price’s cigars and refuses to tell him where they are

Soap always knew smoking was bad but one night he found himself deep into the effects of smoking, the damage it does to the body. Documentaries of what happened to people. He found himself so deep he couldn't even look at the lighter on his desk in the morning.

He thoroughly traumatized himself and now he's confiscating all tobacco products he sees. With the soldiers he can easily. But when he sees Ghost with a cig, Price with his cigar? He only reacts rationally by bursting into a fit of tears, crying over them dying. Ghost drops smoking almost immediately, it was just a easily ignored itch for him after all.

Price isn't so eager to stop but he does make an effort to not do it in front of Soap. He just has to ask Nik to sneak him some in. No one tells Laswell out right, she has to learn the hard way by having Soap catch her having a smoke break.

In the same vein as the tea wars, Graves introducing American foods to Price and Nikolai and bugging them to try it.

"Biscuits and Gravy?" Price revolts,

"Yeah, it's good," Graves pushes a plate towards him, "I grew up on it."

"Biscuits?!"

"Yeah! Biscuits! What's wrong with biscuits!? I used my mom's recipe and everything."

"Is it like sweet and savory?" Price questions

Graves puts his fork down, "No? It's all savory. What about it is sweet?"

"Are the biscuits not sweet?"

"No??" Graves cuts his biscuit in half, "They're savory, it's a flaky roll!"

"American biscuits are savory?"

"British biscuits are sweet?"

Price and Graves having a misunderstanding over different cultural uses of the word biscuit was more entertaining than it had the right being. And Nik most certainly knowing the difference (he cannot pass up any home made food Laswell uses to bribe him with) and makes the decision to not say anything.

This is funny, he's having a good time. Price forgot the word cookie and is having a crisis over the buttery, flaky biscuit Graves is waving at him like it was the answer to every man made problem in the world. Nik would record the situation for Laswell if he wasn't certain his husband and boyfriend would kill him over it.

kate is sharp — a pointed face, a pointed smile, a pointed stare. in keeping with the rest of her, she's all straight lines and bony features face-wise, and is not at all good at any other expression than 'very obviously up to something.'

more physically, the way she wears her hair usually draws people toward interpreting her as 'woman in man's clothes' on first sight. she resents this but not enough to cut her hair or even tuck it into her clothing or hat.

before her death, she has acne scarring on parts of her face, as well as her chest and shoulders, but this, as well as her freckles and her original hazel eye color, doesn't transfer over to her ghost appearance. she's more a glow in the air with dubious intentions than a person with dubious intentions, now.
