Currently watching this very cliche (but still decently enjoyable) Christmas movie and it has this horse girl subplot where the older sister is falling in love with horses, but there are these long, lingering shots where she's looking at this female farmhand working with the horses, and she keeps talking about how great and cool that farmhand is, and I can't decide whether it's actually a burgeoning lesbian subplot or just a heavy accidental implication, but it really does feel soooo close to overtly romantic.
Anyways my hot new ship is these two. Time to build it from the ground up ;)
#All Good Things (2019)#Christmas movies#it's so heavy handed but I'm not sure they realize it#tale as old as time I guess#also there's apparently a completely different movie also called All Good Things from 2010 that keeps dominating the search results#but yeah still watching but I'll let you know if anything actually comes of it#tempted to make a sappy video edit of them together either way but also that'd be a lot of work#maybe not building the fandom singlehandedly then but putting it out there that they're cute#Christmas lesbians#or bis or whatever#maybe it's the shipper goggles but how long do you spend staring longingly at your friends?#anyways#'tis the season#Merry Christmas!#I ramble#I should tag the characters but I already don't remember their names#Callista and Fiona#thanks imbd#no last names though#I don't think I feel compelled enough to write a fic about it but I like them#also Shawn's dad from Psych is in it!#some pretty flat acting here and there (not from him) but par for the course in this genre

Hi! Thank you so much for all you're doing. It's incredible. You're keeping so many of us (and I'm including myself here) level headed during an uncertain time.
Speaking of uncertain times, I figured I'd at least try and get ahead of the curve to let you know that someone "leaked" another rumor; this one being that Good Omens may be released as a movie. However, the tweet was quickly deleted (and not in the fun, hyping people up with a fake leak before deleting it kind of way).
The only proof (and I'm using that loosely) is a production information list someone found on a random British website. From my very limited knowledge, lots of those production notes float around about lots of movies and they're always just rumors and speculation.
You probably already know all of this. But I figured that on the very slim chance you didn't, the tweet is already gone and the source is flimsy at best. Especially seeing as IMBD released the series 3 episode 1 onto its platform. But then again who knows. Maybe that's another rumor too.
Anyway, thank you again and have a great weekend!
Hiya! :) I've seen it but I've also seen this so I am waiting for more info :) <3.

Hi Dragons,
I thought you might be able to help me with this:
Yesterday I started taking notes for my tdp reviews on imdb and rotten tomatoes but I'm completely stumped on how to actually write them. Do you have any tips on how to find a fitting header, how to structure the review and how to write enough to meet the needed word/character count?
Thanks in advance!
The good news on reviews is that it can kinda be whatever you want. I typically make my header something to do with the episode (1x02 was "brings the trio together!" or a general "great & fascinating episode" never fails). Then I just kinda write whatever I think or stood out. On RT the review word count is so small (like 20-60 words) it's very easy to fill, on imbd they're definitely longer but you can go full spoilers if you want to help fill things out.
This is a spoiler marked review I left for 4x06 for example:
This episode is one of my favourites so far in the season for a few reasons. The main thing that stands out is the Tribunal portion of this episode and how we get to see Karim, Janai, and Amaya all respond and interact differently in the situation with the architect, who herself is allowed to be flawed and angry (sometimes rightfully so) while also being unreasonable and uncouth. I loved Amaya taking more of what she learned through her relationship with Janai here, Janai's decision that addresses both the harm done but WHY it was done out of concern, and Karim's continual stubbornness. His portrayal of cultural grief is something I've never quite seen before in animation, but it's poignant and always gets me I also loved having to see the trio work together, particularly Rayla and Callum. Identity's been more of a subtle theme this season but Ezran's "don't you remember who you are?" because working together is an intrinsic part of who they are...The little moment where you see Rayla look to him and Callum considering what to do before he makes a decision is so good. And him supporting her when she almost has a self loathing spiral!! <33 plus N'than (Uncharted reference!!) just cracks me up. Great episode all around.
Meanwhile a more general one I left for 1x01:
From the lore heavy intro to the immediately intriguing characters, the premiere of TDP builds a fascinating world that it then delivers on. The show throws us into the deep end when it comes to a world on the verge of war, yet makes it easily accessible with interesting and likeable characters. One of the most impressive things I think is how quickly you're rooting for both the troupe of elven assassins not to be found, yet you're also hoping that King Harrow - a loving father yet clearly complicated man - will live to see another day. Episode 1 introduces us to the bulk of the main cast we'll follow while also giving hints of what's to come, and its closing scene is still one of the most effective in the show.
So just gushing or explaining why you liked XYZ thing in the episode is more than enough!

Any moth related media recommendations ? + MOTH (2016) review
☆.𓋼𓍊 𓆏 𓍊𓋼𓍊.☆
One night, I was totally committed to finding any movie whose main theme was moths (because I was desperate for moth content). Eventually, I came across a film that, in theory, was going to be PERFECT !!
It was a found footage horror/mystery film about a teacher named Thora and her student, Adam, trying to prove Mothman’s existence. How could a single piece of media portray all of my main interests at once? I was bursting with enthusiasm until I read the reviews (929 total). Its IMBd rating was nothing less than 2.8/10. I gave a quick look into the opinion of some users online, but made sure I didn't end up spoiling the whole plot.
However, I still hoped that the film was going to be interesting, at least, and that the critics were exaggerating. Surprise, surprise, they were NOT wrong.
Although the film came out 7 years ago, I feel the necessity to share my (awful) experience with it. Moth (2016) is genuinely one of the worst films i’ve ever seen, and trust me when I said that I’m usually not picky when it comes to films, Tv series, video games, etc.
SPOILER ALERT !
Firstly, the poster is a complete lie. There we can see a black creature with wings, clearly resembling Mothman. Guess what? Mothman is never shown on screen. Not. Even. Once. In fact, he doesn’t exist at all. It's revealed that the research is completely staged by Thora and her goal is simply to make a movie about the urban legend. Well, THAT is the point that pisses me off the most.
Sure, you can make a story about how “truth is always scarier” and I understand that the topic itself is not entirely uninteresting, but the point is to make that clear from the beginning. Because if I go to watch a movie that promises to be about a scary fantastical creature, I'm obviously going to be angry at having been tricked into wasting my time with it. I genuinely feel like it was the recipe for failure.
Besides, the acting is straight up bad and the camera movements were nauseating. This makes it impossible to live an immersed experience watching this film for more than a minute, and makes you apathetic to any situation and/or problem the characters go through.
I can excuse the awkward dialogue, thanks to the fact that English is not their first language. Besides, the film had a really low budget, which I’m sure had a really negative impact on the film’s making. Although I don't think the fact that it's an indie film makes up an excuse for why it's horrible.
Finally, after 81 minutes straight of bad acting, boring writing and excessively shaky camera movements, my suffering has ended and I seriously need recommendations of ACTUAL GOOD moth related media.
Any suggestions ? :3

Question.
Considering that Cait is pretty much gone from SM, do you think it works in her favor acting wise or not?
She's probably busy now with The Amateur resuming filming but in general how do you see it?
Thanks for the questions, Anon. 😃
Do I think Caitríona’s limited social media use works in her favour, acting wise?
Gifer
I think her limited use of social media is incidental, acting wise.
While she’s still a relatively small fish in a big pond, the quality of her performances, accolades from directors, colleagues, and critics, and her 19 award wins and 51 nominations (IMBd) make enough noise. Her name is listed among the nominees and winners of four of the five top acting awards.* She’s been nominated for a BAFTA, won one Scottish BAFTA and been nominated for another. She’s been nominated for five Golden Globe, three Critics Choice, and two Screen Actors Guild awards. (And has won an IFTA award and been nominated for eight others.)
Despite her not being nominated for an Academy Award, she, with Tony, represented Le Mans ’66 (Ford v. Ferrari) and Belfast at the 2020 and 2022 ceremonies, where the films won three Oscars in total.
FarFarAwaySite
Instagram
You mentioned she’s currently busy filming (The) Amateur. Its star and executive producer, Rami Malek, is the 12th Oscar winner who’s shared film credits with Caitríona. The others are:
Sir Michael Caine (2)
Morgan Freeman
Jodie Foster (2)
Julia Roberts
George Clooney (2)
Matt Damon
Christian Bale
Andrew Buckland & Michael McCusker**
Donald Sylvester***
Dame Judi Dench
Sir Kenneth Branagh
She is and has been in good company.
Your second question, Anon, is how do I see it in general, Caitríona’s limited social media use?
I appreciate her limited use of social media. I imagine she fulfills contractual obligations and posts beyond that when the spirit moves her, but I get why she’s pulled back. Many actors who have the luxury of choosing not to use social media stay away from it. Some who choose to use it post only project-related, non-personal information. Her being cast in Outlander, and the show’s success, are gifts she cherishes, but they’ve come at a cost. We’ve seen where fans ignore reality and comment on her social media “direct from” Fantasy Island. Who needs that?
Remember… if you're gonna ask people to pay money to come see you in a movie, they don't need to know your every thought all the time. I think there has to be some element of mystery. — George Clooney in Esquire
*Alphabetically, Academy Award, BAFTA Award, Critics Choice Award, Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award

🖤Trick or treat!🖤
Drabble or fake fic for: everlark find the hanging tree
Hi @thesweetnessofspring , thanks for stopping by! Here is a pretty flower I saw the other day:
I know this is probably not what you had in mind, but my first thought was a fake fic where Katniss and Peeta develop a taste for old films post-war and come across "The Hanging Tree" (1959) starring Gary Cooper and Maria Schell. I feel like the themes of care, healing, and finding love in a difficult and unconventional situation would speak to them. ❤️
Plus, this is how Gary Cooper's character is described in an IMBD review: "He is a man of sharp contrast, kind but domineering, compassionate but unyielding, a healer but a killer, strong but at the same time frail." Sounds a bit familiar, doesn't it? 👻

I feel. Insane. Bonkers actually. Marbles lost over this trailer.
but I HOPE THERE'S SLEEPER. I don't know how well a 2hr something movie handle the intro of that many symbiote characters but we shall see. also??? the lizard (more accurately the guy who plays him) being there??? why???
the shot of klyntar as well!!! (and that reveal has me shaking in my boots... Im afraid and I don't know if that's good)
I don't quite trust the IMBd page yet; there's a kid on the cast page, he could be sleeper or dylan. Venom War and now this??? im losing it (if I had it in the first place)
logged on just to see what you'd posted abt the trailer bc i finally got to watch it and wanted to come scream w yall
Hi!!! I’m also going insane!!
IF THERES NO SLEEPER IM GOING TO CRY. After everything that’s going on in the comics rn I need Eddie in some media being a good dad. I’m on my knees begging for him to have one fatherly bone in his body. Dylan would also be cool, but I’m biased towards Sleeper lol
LIZARD GUY!! WHY IS HE HERE. IS SONY FR STILL TRYING TO MAKE THEIR SHITTY SPIDERMAN WKTH NO SPIDEY UNIVERSE REAL AFTER THE ABSOLUTE STINKERS THEYVE PUT OUT
ALSO KLYNTAR LOOKS SO COOL!! The shots of the Hive had me going feral— and the symbiotes emerging from it is so slay!!!
thank you for screaming with me!!! I love yapping about Venom way too much— screaming crying throwing up I’m so excited for this movie!!!

I thought the BBC version of Les Mis was good! And one time I googled it and came across a top 10 list of the best Les Mis adaptations (lol) and that version actually was ranked second based on their IMBD score. It's a non-musical version which may appeal more to some than others. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it, and thought it had a great cast. You should give it a chance!
ah ok! ive heard a lot of conflicting things from various sources but i will have to watch it to make my own judgements. (also i wasn't aware there were 10 les mis adaptations lol) thanks and i will defo try it sometime

Sometimes I just forget to comment but I always leave kudos, even if it wasn't like the next Nobel Prize of Literature. And I forget because I download things to read on the go and then finish it and just forget completely. I guess I'm an odd case? Because it doesn't matter if the work has a million hits and kudos, I'll always leave kudos even before reading (just from the tags and summary). Maybe as a way to acknowledge the work put into it? I don't really know. It's just what I do. But you're right, I mean, I have some memory issues and tend to forget but even a heart emoji is enough as a comment. I also write and personally I don't mind not getting comments, but I smile when I see even a little heart so yeah. And even in smut fics, like you said, an emoji is enough. You don't need to write a dissertation about the pisser mashing activities or whatever. Some people really like comments and I mean, if they say 'hey, leave me some nice comments!' it doesn't hurt to leave a little heart or something.
I always also leave a kudos, typically already after 1 chapter. Sometimes, I'm reading in a place where I can't leave kudos or comments, like during a flight, I go to the fic to leave kudos and comments afterwards. Heck, if I like the fic, I'll go back again later to tell the author that "listen, listen, I've been thinking about this fic for the past 5 months, I like it so much".
I'm starting to think that some people think that when you read to fic, you need to leave 5 star honest summary review like it was IMBD or something. When in reality, it's fandom thank yous and small talk.
I once read a fic which I didn't like. I was hoping it would get better but it didn't. Did I leave a comment? Yes. Did I say that I didn't like it? No. I thanked for the fic and said that it was nice this ship has new content, and it's always nice to meet other fans of this ship.
Think fandom interactions as any other small talk and good behavior. You wouldn't go to a party invited, say "hi" to the host/hostess, go tp eat everything from the table you want, and then leave without saying anything. You wouldn't appreciate this either if you were the host and invited people over, and they just flocked in, ate in silence and then left without even saying thank you. You are not expected (nor you are expecting as a host) to give 5 start detailed review of the cinnamon cookies on the table, describing their texture and moisture level and sugar-cinnamon balance and give critique of how these cookies should have been in the oven 30 seconds longer. It's a cookie! You take it, say thank you, and if wanted, you can comment "I like cinnamon cookies so much, these were good." Even if the cookie was a bit burnt, it's OK. If you want to be even more socially friendly, you can ask how the cookies were made, was it perhaps the host/hostess family recipe or did they find a new one on Pinterest?
If you behave nicely, you make the environment nice, too, and what's the best, you make the host (author) really happy, too. They want to offer you more free cookies and invite you over again, and moreover, arrange those fun gathering you love so much.
That little emoji, that little personal message, has SO MUCH power to the one who receives it <3 It seriously matters! It's the simplest way to participate in a fandom.

SORRY i keep coming here to yell !! you got me thinking about cdramas (& t dramas) i enjoyed and then forgot about :"] i watched 如果奔跑是我的人生 earlier this year and the ending lost me, but i was quite captivated by its 20+ episodes before. it centres around parental relationships (asian) and, i don't know much about dance at all but a main character is a dancer and her story made me feel things. the performances were sick, in my unprofessional opinion! I'm Fine is a gorgeous ost track. btw.... i've started rewatching 不良执念清除师 again and i CANNOT RECOMMEND IT HIGHLY ENOUGH. i've been thinking about it (on ep 5 LOL) and i actually don't think the ending dropped the thread or ball or 链子 or however that saying goes (im fever SORRY.... i think it was cathartic and beautiful in the way a galaxy is— i just could not get enough of those guys T__T 不良执念清除师 is about sulky teen (??) guys moving through the world with so much heart. it's about LOVE and ART and how the living go on after tragedy, it's about how. how (PARDON ME....) we get to keep everything we've ever loved for even a fraction of a moment & what we are doing is worthwhile even if it is very small !!!!! it is a show that is, in Voice from IMBD's words, an outstanding Taiwanese drama that excels in every aspect, because it was made with so much care and love...(meta!) also, gay people
first of all No Apology thank you for coming to yell!!! you have a big heart full of love for the world and it moves me!!!! i went down this rabbit hole on m*dramalist after watching 我们的少女时代/our times (2015)-
(tangent incoming) this movie Shook the secondary 2 scene in singapore when it came out everyone and their dog was sobbing about it and i listened to 小幸运 Religiously despite never seeing it myself. Having Seen It Now, it is a sweet little thing and it makes me feel desperately old. it also made me CRY, what can i say i’m a sucker for distances and ships passing in the night and i was soooo happy when liudehua appeared and then adult xutaiyu showed up and he Fuck Ass Hair. my lord, his hair looked like SHIT. PICKLED SEAWEED……… i couldn’t cry after that because i was so busy clenching my asscheeks out of sheer despair FUCK HAIR AND. AND!!! A TOO SHORT BLACK BLAZER ON SKINNY JEANS??? I MEAN REALLY??? I KNOW 2015 WAS NINE YEARS AGO but i don’t recall fuckass hair being the in thing then…. this memory i do not have…. you have to understand how emotionally devastating this was to me…… (tangent end)
(tangent part 2) (please look at the way they styled this poor man’s fuck ass hair. i don’t care how earth shatteringly sweet they were in high school if my first love turned up ten years later and he looked like this i would simply walk away)
(tangent end)
the point is, that i then went through vivian sung’s acting history to see what else she’d been in bc she was soooooo lovely and realized that 不良执念清除师 was in said history and then remembered this ask! and your heartfelt words about its story! and i was like Oghey, i watch—
just finished the first episode and mein gott yiyong is such a Teenager…… man i look at 18 year olds and i’m like i don’t remember being like that but i Know i must’ve been, once upon a time. but the range of emotions the script wrung out of him in one episode was kind of insane and his actor is kind of vibey as hell (perhaps this is my sign from god to finally watch your name engraved herein…) and vivian sung is still epic as hell and sooo goofy and i’m excited! i think of u in my head for some reason as the epic tight as hell short chinese dramas anon, i Trust your eyes. they’re good eyes. i’ve also locked down the first 20+ episodes of the other drama you mention here, especially because yang chao yue is in it and she was Breathtaking in the double T T T thank you for the recs! where do you find all of these? i don’t know but you must be doing good out in the world. be well anon. meet a chicken
#replies#there’s something about watching taiwanese movies and dramas that makes me feel…… Strongly and Distantly alike#my mom hung out with taiwanese kids at her primary school so she picked up like. half a taiwanese accent?#and so i picked it up too. and listening to the chinese in oh no here comes trouble#it’s wild because i can tell that the way i speak is closer to this than it is to folks from china#but it’s also not quite the same. but whenever we visit relatives in taiwan strangers will hear me speak and be like welcome back!#you’re from around here aren’t you? and it feels so strange that the only place that sees me as one of its own#is so far from where i grew up and even further from where i was born#a life both adjacent to and far from my own…….#but i am excited about this Bus Drama. i love a little horror a little sadness. i’m also looking forward to the Gay People op#strongly anticipating#i have not met any Gay People since i left my college in may. man i sure do miss em. gay people

Did you see that IMBD now has Frozen III listed as in production and the 4 main actors attached. Contracts finally signed it seems.
Thank you for spotting this and letting us know. It may not indicate that contracts are signed as any user can submit updates. The movie may not be released until about 2027.

Murdoch Mysteries Season 11, Episode 7 “The Accident”.
Not many series can hit out of the park with not only a good mystery but one of the best performances of a guest star anyone could ask for.
Murdoch casting agents definitely earned their pay when they hired the brilliantly David Hewlett to play Dilbert Dilton, a character we meet in Season 9, Episode 16 “Bl**dy H*ll”.
Considering we only see the character twice it speaks volumes that with a long running show like Murdoch that an episode from the 11th season has one of the highest episode rating on IMBd for the series with a 9.2 rating and this is thanks to David Hewlett, Thomas Craig, and Angela Vint.
youtube
If you haven’t watched the series you don’t know what you’re missing because there are so many episodes that are truly gems and The Accident is the crown jewel.
