Boom

Everyone was shitting on this title so much and then Moffat gave us an absolute banger. This episode is incredible. Ncuti had to stand in one place for a full fucking episode and still gave us some of the best acting I've ever seen. The pathos of it is excellent. And god the themes and commentary.

Moffat is commenting on so much here and it deeply helps that he's a grumpy old man in the exact same ways I am. The episode really is a my philosophy speed run. He really just said.

"the church is an organisation created to justify atrocities, war is perpetuated by capitalism because humans matter less than money, medicine run like a business devalues human life and costs lives, faith is a powerful tool that when wielded unwisely can be used to justify horrific acts because it needs no proof but can be a useful tool in providing comfort when faced with life's biggest questions, fundamentally after death all that matters is the impact you make on others, Susan should be talked about in terms of her affect on the doctor more, the cooperate sheen of pleasantries as it commits horrific acts is deeply dehumanising and frustrating, thoughts and prays mean nothing and are annoying as hell, algorithms should never be in charge of decisions that require an ethical system and compassion"

Just incredible that he manages to put all that in 45 minutes so succinctly. I am very much forgiving him for his show runner crimes because this was such a god damn banger.

Also I'm really interested to see where Mundy goes considering she might well become the next companion. The doctor did say he was coming back so it would be super cool if we actually get a companion from the future again. Her being an Anglican marine and thus having some tension with the doctor would be fascinating to explore. Bonus points is Mundy Sunday becomes real. I'd adore that.

My hopes aren't too high, doctor who does avoid future companions nowadays but if we are keeping Ruby on board then maayyyybe it's won't just be a future version of her.

Also if you want my predictions, Ruby or the doctor are related to the toymaker. Mrs Flood is Susan (she's been brought up way too much not to be in the show). That's my theory. We'll see if I'm right

This a short 3 min youtube skit from 2013. The basic premise being doctor who if it was american rather than british.

Its very youtube and its very 2013 youtube. A lot of the humour is sterotype based and I could do without the SA joke but theres also something kinda charming about it in that 2013 youtube way. It did get a chuckle out of me at points. I kinda enjoyed some of the lore continuity with the master and I also liked that they used a similar though worse effect to the actual show.

This a aussie channel with 700 subs and i'd feel super bad shitting on it. Its a youtube skit. Its nothing special, but its not the worst use of 3 mins.

I need your help

While I have found most of the stuff I am looking for there are a handful of piece of doctor who media that i have as of yet not been able to find. If you have any infomation about the following piece of media please let me know. I have done at least some digging on all of these but honestly a few have not been that deep so there could easily be something on the surface that I'm missing

This seems to be a fan made series. It is apprently made by Cat Productions. The production company has only got one other thing listed on their IMDB, a mini series called Jess Bond returns. Again, the name makes SEO to find this pretty hard. I might be able to find something with some digging though

Who are you?

I'm Box (any/all), my main blog is @box-dwelling if you want my random rambling. I've been a who fan basically my whole life. Ive seen all of New who and am slowing picking my way through classic who as I go. Favourite Doctor is 7 but 6 is close to de-throning him as I work through his catalouge. 15 also might get that spot too but its a little too early to tell, I need to see a little bit more of Ncuti before I can decide that

So What the fuck is this?

Basically when trying to find the new season because of the reboot my good friend @puzzledemigod found a ton of random misallanious doctor who media listed. So I thought, I should find catalouge and watch all of it.

So a few days and some hours of research later and i have a spreadsheet of all of it, with a handful of other projects I found along the way also included. Some of this is canon content, some is EU, some is meta content and some is fan made. Some of this is WILD, even just poking my head in.

So how is this going to work?

I'm going to dot about on this spreadsheet watching all of it and reviewing it here. I will try and catagorise everything with what kind of content it is and the goal is to queue stuff to get one review out per day.

For stuff that needs serialised reviews like the big finish producutions or episodes of the show, I'll come in with reviews per serial, for certain things I might go per season. Some things will be done per project
