I have never seen Gigi although I love Vincente Minnelli musicals, I am very interested in your thoughts on a gigi-esque spones au!!!

Oh man, yeah Vincente Minelli had so many fun films didn't he? But hahaha it was just a passing flash I had when seeing your musings about how Spock gets all horrified and protective when he sees Bones being forcibly tempered despite making comments in that vein himself—for it to actually work, I'd have to sit there and think about how to make the setting and scenario fit the characters better 😭😭

That being said! I'm thinking that the broad strokes of a Spones Gigi-esque AU might go something like this:

Spock, the young scion of a wealthy, famous family and the most eligible bachelor in Shi'Kahr, meets McCoy, fresh out of med school and doing his residency on Vulcan, and they become fast friends

Spock is dealing with various pressures from his family and wider Vulcan society, while McCoy is dealing with culture shock and feeling isolated and lonely on a new planet, and both of them find refuge in each other + find someone with which they can just be themselves

But then, some sort of scandal/something** occurs which would prevent Spock from continuing to spend time with McCoy, who he realizes he's falling in love with, so to get around that, he proposes that they start a public relationship in some form

McCoy is reluctant, but eventually agrees because he doesn't want to be without Spock either, even if it means that he's going to have to accompany Spock in public while following a strict set of uncomfortable social rules

But then when Spock's out there, presenting McCoy to Vulcan high society, he is disturbed by how subdued and obedient McCoy is forced to act while being paraded in front of these aristocrats who praise Spock for his choice of new toy, and he consequently grabs McCoy and storms out of there heedless of what anyone has to say

Then they go off to have their relationship on their own terms, becoming mates and living happily ever after. The end 💙

**I'm a little fuzzy on what this scandal could be. Maybe it could be pon farr-related—I'm thinking like, Spock wants to/accidentally did spend his first pon farr with Bones, which creates a huge issue with T'Pring's family due to the still-existing engagement. Unfortunately Spock's family really doesn't want him to just break the engagement off, because it's a key element of an important political alliance between their families, so he's given an ultimatum to either take Bones on as like, a concubine/escort, or else never see him again to avoid causing any more trouble. It takes Spock seeing Bones miserable to stand up to his family's expectations and break off the engagement/brave getting disowned to be with Bones in a way that actually makes them both happy.

Alternatively, I could make this an omegaverse AU of some sort...or perhaps try my hand at one of them "pre-reform" AUs with complicated social rules and power dynamics that could be used to form the main conflict...

...As you can see, there's a lot of specific details that still need to be hashed out 😅 ...smh now you're tempting me into working on something like this when I've still got other things on my plate 😔😔

(Side note: Obviously this would be a fic, not a musical, but can you imagine Gigi!Bones singing his version of "The Parisans", except it's like, "🎵 I don't understand the Vulcans / Thinking logic's so miraculous and grand / But they rave about it / And won't live without it 🎵" XD)

I can't remember if I asked you this before ? maybe I have,??? but I just saw one of your posts on my dash and it made me wonder, did that traveling book disappear with the curse or did the enchantress let Adam keep it?

ahhh, sneaky sneaky!! it would be so cool and fun if that atlas had stayed enchanted and they could just USE IT. imagine them writing to their friends in like spain or something being like “hey yeah we’ll be there to visit soon” and they just fuckin show up before the letter even arrives fjskdjd. for the record i think that’s very fun and i have seen people play with that idea.

HOWEVER.

unfortunately i’m gonna be the fun police and say no i don’t think it stayed enchanted. i think it was enchanted so long as the castle & rose & mirror were enchanted. so when all that ends, it just becomes a normal atlas. like honestly i think it was an atlas that already existed in the library, and i would bet it was just chillin propped open on the table collecting layers of DUST.

i kind of like to imagine that after the initial insanity of adam turning into a beast and the rest of the residents turning into objects, i feel like agathe sort of forced adam to go around the castle and see the damage he had done. like idk how she does this, maybe he involuntarily wants to walk where she leads? maybe she can kind of Control him and make him walk? idk, she’s hella powerful. but regardless of how it happens, i think she somehow drags him around the castle to make sure he sees how dead empty it appears, now that all the people living there are objects. (of course, at this point, they’re all probably freaking out! but she probably wants him to hear their panicked cries too.)

anyway, before their last stop in the west wing to give him the spiel about the rose and the mirror, they go to the library. and there on the table, the atlas is already glowing. they go over to it and she explains that this is his way to still escape the castle and to travel this precious world of his. and he’s confused, but she emphasizes that he’ll still Look Like This, so good luck going anywhere and not immediately being hunted for sport, asshole!

(and i still do think he does try it one time, and i promise i’ll write it eventually!!!!!)

so yeah. but i definitely think, sometime early post-curse, belle remembers the atlas and is like “WAIT. do you think…?” and adam’s like “no…. can’t be….” but they’re both just a tiny bit hopeful because they were probably just chatting about cool places adam wants to take her so omg maybe they can go Right Now!!!!!!!!!! but they run to the library and find the atlas back to its original state. they’re only a tad disappointed but they both knew it was probably too good to be true, so they sort of laugh about it. i think belle still scoops it up in her arms and insists they look through it. adam smiles and agrees, and they take it outside and spend the sunny afternoon flipping the pages. and belle, of course, is just watching adam with HEART EYES!! as he infodumps about the places he’s already been, and everything he knows about each one :’)

for Hibi and Suzka: 2. Is your OC a loner or a social butterfly? Are they satisfied with how they come across to other people?

2) Suzka is THE social butterfly of the group. she's very talkative and charismatic, and she likes meeting new people, which made her pretty popular in school. she knows how to talk to people and doesn't mind the attention.

Hibi would be more of a loner. because of his social anxiety and past bullying, he quickly becomes uncomfortable in crowds or around new people, especially if he's alone. he prefers being with friends and family.

10) she's very sentimental, if you offer her something she will keep it forever, even something as silly as a branch you snuck in her hair. she's always been that way, collecting trinkets here and there. for a bad period in her life Suzka would hide all these mementos, but quickly started displaying the good ones as she realized they made her feel better.

15) for Hibi it's a field hidden in the forest he lived in. It is full of high grass and wild flowers, and at night it is filled with fireflies. it brings both happy and sad memories, as it is a place his parents would bring him to when he was feeling down.

for Yoan it's the treehouse at his grandparents' farm. he had helped his grandpa build it when he was young, and it has always been a safe place where he is free to be. it's a very precious place to him, he has only let 4 people in his treehouse : his grandparents, Hibi and Suzka.

5) whether he uses his swords or his bare hands, Alim almost always pair them with fire magic, and when needed earth magic. he spent 8 years training with his mentor until he realized he was strong enough to surpass him. because of the intensive training his mentor forced on him, it has left permanent scars on him.

"Taka..." Shuichi truly was so proud to see how dedicated Kiyotaka is about making things right. While this case was not anywhere near as serious as one where victims were genuinely hurt, it still was not often when the 'suspect' showed full remorse for their actions, and furthermore if they try to fix things from it. Anyone who knows Kiyotaka well enough knows that, while he has his odd and oblivious moments, he's completely honest and sincere. That is why Shuichi is confident...that Usami and Yuta will forgive him ..and why he and Yuma, could instantly do the same.

".... Alright. I'll be wishing you the best of luck in doing so, Taka. And of course.. I care about you very much, so I , while I do not wish to be so harsh again, always want to be honest. Then, once that's all taken care of and everything calms down... I'd love to do something together with both of you guys! And laugh off the craziness of this entire case together, hahaha..."

His own smile brightening, he begins walking out with his precious bros, by his side.... "Yes... I really am happy it didn't end on a terrible note; that we're walking out together, smiling. Ahh... Being greeted by the moonlight once they eventually exited the building, made the bright moon and stars tonight, look all the more beautiful to Shuichi. One of his craziest cases... with a just as unexpected happy ending. He internally laughs to himself at the thought, but it was exactly cases like this, that made being a detective, actually fun...

Yuma gives a small smile at Shuichi's words, happy that they not only solved the mystery that had been haunting the school, but that the two of them have grown so much closer. From barely being able to string two sentences together to now being his bro... As wild as the night has been, he's grateful for how things have ultimately ended up.

He can't help but chuckle when he turns and sees Kiyotaka's incredibly serious face, knowing that the studious boy is being completely sincere. In an effort to prevent mischief he ended up unknowingly creating his own mischief... Were it just about anyone else Yuma would have his doubts, but it really does seem like the Ultimate Moral Compass took it upon himself to enforce the rules even if it was the most insane way possible. He would be lying if he said he wasn't both curious and a little fearful of what goes on in that boy's head sometimes...

"My intentions do not negate my actions. Despite the results that came from it, I would not have continued as I had if I had known the terror I was causing. From now on I will make a conscious effort to make others aware of my presence. Although your words were harsh, I appreciate the honesty. Now that I know how my actions were perceived, I can make amends and change for the better."

Kiyotaka curious expression melts into a soft smile, relieved that he's already been forgiven by the very detectives who were out to catch him. To know that those closest to him harbor no ill-will towards him fills Kiyotaka with immense gratitude.

"After a night like tonight, I think we can all do with a good, long rest," Yuma happily moves closer to his bro, smiling as he sees Kiyotaka do the same, "I'm glad everything worked out the way that it did. No matter what, I'll always remember tonight as the night I walked side by side with my brothers. Out of all the cases I've been on, this one has the happiest ending."

I always get grumpy and blushing when too much pink, glitter, candy and stuff, but deep inside I can't help myself and yield cuteness overload dopamining 🫠✨

ARC trooper Echo is on duty for this day and he won't do a job without the best and most badass gear! ✨😈 He even borrowed himself a winged sky trooper jetpack and Omega’s bow, but only because he can 😎✨ But Maker, he's allowed, he deserves and it's Echo! 💕

Have a closer look. I never did lighting like this before! 🤩 I don't know if it's accurate – I just thought and tried to imagine of how materials would reflect, how much and where and in which angle 🤯✨

I had fun and some frustration figuring his pose! First, he's with the jetpack, what to do with the legs?

Second, as I'm an archer myself, I wanted to give him a good archer posture, but he has a scomp too! +50 skill, +50 difficulty, +100 badassity. Good thing he can hook in this bow-ring of the Zygerrian design and I'm aware that there are many little inaccurate things to find, but I'm still a drawing Padawan, not a master 😂🫶

Third, angles. Can‘t tell what it is exactly. Something worm's eye view, little mortals on the ground looking up to sweet doom coming down from the aurora skies 🤩✨🧡❤️🩷💜✨
