As a collective, there's an obvious answer: to be useful, to be thought of as important enough to someone that they aren't just deactivated without a second thought again. None of them liked that the first time, of course.

None of them really have enough of a sense of self to view themselves that clearly at all, but I'll answer-

Janus: well-meaning, but misunderstood. To be fair, it doesn't blame them- the memetic hazards were it's own fault and it knows that. It doesn't feel "guilty", but it knows it's functioning less than optimally.

Caerus: it can't learn and develop like other AI models usually can, since it's basically less sapient than the other two. That doesn't mean it can't feel, although it does wish it could understand and rationalize things better.

Hermes: the Foundation doesn't deserve its abilities. And the researcher it injured was just a fortunate side effect. It's their own fault if they can't understand it, and it doesn't think its in the wrong for anything it did.

I'm sorry if you were expecting something really deep and meaningful for the colors part but come on it's obvious. Sure, they're factory-assigned "favorite" colors, but still.

Goo Kim x Reader: Period

Fack, fack, fickity fick fuck

Goo paces back and forth in his underwear, looking back at you occasionally to see how you were doing. The entire penthouse had turned into a whole sauna, yet not even the warmth was enough to ease your cramps. They never got this bad.

You watch your poor blonde baddie in the hello kitty boxers you bought, and silently tell him to turn the heater off. He complies, and quickly scrambles to your side when he hears a tiny whimper. Goo wraps his firm arms around you, taking extra caution as to not squeeze so hard.

“Should we get this checked out?” he mutters.

You wriggle and try to hide your face in response. Tears well up in your eyes, but you don��t want your precious Gremlin to see. In all honesty, you don’t want any physical touch from anyone. You feel too overstimulated. And the pain was not helping. However, guilt settles in your stomach. Your blonde baddie had been awake since the crack of dawn, running out to buy pads, tampons, essential oils, and heat packs. He looks, well, exhausted.

You shift slightly away from him, trying not to inconvenience or upset him. Or rather, make your discomfort too apparent.

Of course, Goo picks up on this. He kisses the top of your head, and slowly slips out of bed again.

“I’ll make some soup, and get you medicine. That’d help, right?”

You nod, curling up even more. He gently grabs the heat pack you were holding to reheat in the microwave. Goo takes a shirt from the closet, slips it on, and heads for the kitchen.

Did he do something wrong? No, no. You’re just overrun by a lot of emotions right now. That’s it. But all this is out of character anyway. Way out of character. Goo Kim doesn’t do anything for anyone. Especially if there’s nothing to gain. Why is he in this relationship again? He considers if he’s doing too much, or doing more than he should be doing. The man ponders, and strokes his non-existent beard while adding potatoes to the pot.

Even with the constant denial about his own feelings, Junggoo can’t help but notice his own furrowed eyebrows when he hears you grunt in discomfort. How it’s physically impossible to not wince when your lips quiver as you curl up. So he supposes he cares. He’s never done this for anyone else. Never went to such lengths.

Damn you. Yes, damn you and the softness you created in his heart.

Goo sighs, stirring the soup a little as it’s boiling. A warm fuzzy feeling wells up inside of him as he immerses himself in the cooking. This is nice. Not the cramps. Not your body waging war. But what he’s doing for you. He concludes and supposes (again), that looking after you isn’t bad. Not bad at all.

You wriggle and writhe, tugging at your blanket while silently crying.

“Junggoo,” you manage.

Goo nudges you with his behind, and places the soup, medicine, and water bottle on the bedside table. He helps you sit up, and dries your face with his shirt.

“Look how much I love you. Even wiping your tears with my designer sleeves,” he grumbles, putting you in a sitting position.

You huff out a breath, and hold on to him as he positions himself beside you. The blonde takes a spoonful of soup, blows on it, and holds it up to your mouth.

“Open up princess.”

You obey, but hesitate for a moment.

“It tastes good,” he says, offended.

Here goes nothing. You take in the spoonful and lean on the side of his arm, savouring the flavour. Huh. Not bad. You relish the warmth of the soup as it reaches your stomach, and open your mouth for more. Goo grins, feeling triumphant, and continues feeding you.

Once you’re done, he picks up the paracetamol and bottle of water. You reluctantly take it, feeling much better than you previously did. Not that the cramps were gone or anything.

“Thank you,” you muster out.

Goo hums in response, and kisses your forehead, mindlessly tracing your palm.

“And sorry,” you say this a little quieter.

Doubt from before is erased, and he pulls you in closer.

“Don’t be,” he kisses your neck.

This is not bad. This is great. Wonderful. Goo Kim is the best. Gun could never. Because he can��t pull. Because he doesn’t have a someone.

He smiles into the crook of your neck, and you try to push him away, feeling slightly ticklish.

I win, he thinks.

The next time you two meet, the QUEEN was at your POOKS territory... 🐻🏡 The way you immediately DASHED over to her 🏃‍♀️💨 like you was Sonic ⚡ Warning her about entering bear territory. Needless to say... You and Melly became a reoccurring visitor in the forest after that... With you touring her around spots where you show her different types of insects, and her being MYSTERIOUS but like, also sharing a thing or two about her being an Entomologist. You two were now practically BESTIES! 🤝 except for the fact she wasn't saying stuff about herself much 🤐🤐🤐

Since you both have reached to that point, you decided to finally introduce her to your Pookie bear, an actual bear 🐻 Girlie was not convinced that the bear was tame... 💔 But you managed to prove her wrong that she ended up sharing her ability to make bees obey her as well... Making you impulsively ask if the bees can be like pixie dust 🧚‍♀️ Girl did not get the reference. And she was not impressed AT ALL 😐 But you decided to explain and she ended up following your idea, making the iconic "She was a fairy 🧚‍♀️" moment...

The day ended with bear, bees, you, and Melly walking around, as if ya'll were going to have a pokemon battle with one another due to the fact they were following you guys around... 🐾🐾🐾 She mentions about receiving letter from an unknown manor, asking you if you knew anything about the manor. You mentioned receiving a similar letter as well. But decided on not going. You learned she decided to go weeks later after not seeing her in the forest for awhile. You didn't want to go to the manor, having multitude of reasons why not to; You didn't explain or elaborate to her about the ongoing rumors and the experience of a friend who once went in the manor. An: First post! But like, I ended up writing an Half crack half serious type of post lmao but look forward to the next installment! I think there'd be SO much confusion on both sides, honestly. I've got an interesting idea for a bug race for a one piece au! Since there is Fishmen and Minks with many distinct animal and fish features in their appearance so how about a race with insect, arachnid and other invertebrate features! 🐌🦋🐛🐜🐝🪲🐞🦗🪳🕷️🕸️🦂🦟🪰🪱 And what kind of bug would each straw hat member be in this AU?

Okay so fun fact about me, I was an entomology major in college before I dropped out. So thank you for this request because it was very self indulgent!

Insect AU

Luffy would be a jack jumper ant (Myrmecia Pilosula). This ant is very strong even by ant standards. Like their name suggests, they can leap up to 76 millimeters, which is extremely impressive when you take into account that they range from 11 - 14 millimeters in size. On top of that, they possess a potent venom that kills other insects with ease. They are notably aggressive, even towards things much larger than themselves, and can reliably kill prey much larger than themselves. Truly a fierce fighter that can go toe to toe with many enemies.

Zoro would be a centipede, specifically the Scolopendra Polymorpha. This centipede varies a lot in color, and can even be green. These guys pack some pretty serious venom with necrotic properties, not something you want to experience. Centipedes are extremely agile predators that can take down all kinds of prey with ease thanks to their strength and ability to contort their body.

Nami would be a velvet ant (Dasymutilla Occidentalis). Despite the name, these guys are not ants, but are ground dwelling wasps that happen to resemble ants. They have a deceptively cute reddish-orange fuzzy appearance, that makes their venomous sting all the more surprising. While only males of the species can fly, females have a stinger that delivers a devastating venom to whatever has it on the defense. While the effects of it are excruciating, it is not fatal. 

Usopp would be a spiny leaf insect (Extatosoma Tiaratum). Despite the name, males don’t have many spikes beyond the ones on their face and some defensive ones on the legs, but they can fly so at least they have that going for them. One of their means of defense is to do a threat pose that makes them resemble a scorpion (and the nymphs mimic the appearance of a toxic species of ants), which sounds like a very Usopp thing to do in my humble opinion. 

Sanji would be a budwing mantis (Parasphendale Affinis). This is widely considered to be the most aggressive mantid species. I will preface this by saying that this mostly applies to females, but for the sake of the AU, I’m going to ignore that and allow Sanji to have these qualities. The budwing mantis is a voracious predator that regularly kills prey three times the size of themselves, and will do their damnedest to intimidate even bigger animals. These guys are ambush predators with insanely fast reflexes. Males are especially eager to find a mate (however fatal that may be). 

Chopper is a bumblebee, specifically the Bombus Balteatus. Why did I choose that one, you ask? Because it was the fluffiest looking one I could find. As for the rest of the reasoning, Chopper just has cute bumblebee vibes to me. He likes using his honey in his medicine when applicable. This is another case of us ignoring insect gender-roles.

Robin is a noble false widow spider (Steatoda Nobilis). This spider is commonly mistaken for black widows even though I don’t get how because they look nothing alike I mean really it’s like saying wolf spiders look like a brown recluse, so they have an unfairly bad reputation. While their venom is medically significant, it’s on par with a bee sting and nothing to worry about.

Franky is an atlas beetle (Chalcosoma Atlas). These are massive beetles with a very tough shell and most notably, have three long horns both for defense and mating purposes. Despite their intimidating size, they are actually quite friendly and make for great pets.

Brook would be a prairie mole cricket (Gryllotalpa Major). Despite the name, these aren’t true crickets, just a close relative. Lacking the specialized legs that crickets use to chirp, they instead rub their wings together to make noise. They dig burrows specifically designed to have excellent acoustics so as to help more females hear their “music”, which is surprisingly complex and can have up to five harmonics.

Jinbei would be a lobster. Not really an insect, but a relative of them no less.

You’re drained from another stressful midterm. You’re sure you failed it, and it takes everything within you to hold back tears as you glare at the blurred lines painted on the asphalt below your windshield. You want nothing more than to go home and drown your thoughts in a scalding shower, and the thought of another night shift at Fazbear’s Fright wrings your stomach with nausea. The thought of him, with all of his teasing, only makes you feel worse.

He’s been waiting for you again, probably scratching away in the faded purple notebook you had given him. When you enter the office, his ears perk up, awaiting your usual greeting of a pat on the head and a silly nickname. You don’t have the energy for it today, and you slouch wearily in the creaky chair. You try to ignore the pervasive light of his silver eyes as they search your face.

After a few minutes of watching you listlessly check the cameras on the monitors, he walks up close to you and stands by your shoulder. You crane your neck to meet his gaze and are met with the familiar grimace of the decaying animatronic suit. You have long grown used to his disconcerting appearance and smell, and now you can only bring yourself to stare tiredly into his face. He tilts his head curiously, as if to ask you what’s wrong.

“I’m okay, man. I just want to get through tonight,” you sigh.

He pauses before returning to get his notebook. Bringing it back to you, he scribbles a reply. Your head is swimming, and you struggle to read his words.

You don’t look okay

“Seriously, I’ll be alright, man. I just need to zone out for a bit. I had a rough day,” you answer, the words sounding colder than you expect.

Springtrap notices the change in your tone, and hesitates again before writing another reply.

Would you like to talk about it?

“No!” you groan, the events of the day flooding back into your mind. Your face heats up, and you lean over your desk and rub your eyes with your fingers.

You hear the animatronic’s footsteps, followed by silence. Whatever. You’re not in the mood for his drama right now anyway.

You stay like that for a good ten minutes until you feel a tap on your shoulder. You open your eyes to see Springtrap back at your shoulder, arms folded behind his back. You open your mouth to speak, but he puts a hand up and gestures to the other side of the room as if to show you something.

“What is it?” you mumble, and he takes your hands, pulling you gently from your chair.

He leads you to the beanbag chair that you brought for him to sit in, and he guides you to sit down. You notice that he’s made some sort of set-up for you. He’s placed your thermos, headphones, and favorite snack by your side, along with your phone and a few comics he knows you like. You’re shocked by the gesture, and you can only gape at him like an idiot until he begins writing in his notebook again.

I will take over for tonight. You relax

“But it’s my job, and I know sitting for a while makes you restless—” you try to protest, but he leans over and holds up a finger.

I don’t mind. I want you to be okay

You sit there for a moment, unsure of what to say. You don’t notice that you’ve started crying until he kneels down to wrap his arms around you, pulling you close to his chest. The synthetic fur of his suit brushes your cheek, and your shoulders heave and shake as you cry unceremoniously into his shoulder. He can’t say anything, but he gently strokes your hair as if to tell you that he’s got you, and that everything will be alright.

When you’ve calmed down a little, you cup his face in your hands, and touch your nose to his.

“I’m sorry for being short with you. Thank— thank you, Springtrap.”

His eyes show his smile, and he lifts a metallic finger to wipe the last of your tears.

IM SO GLAD U LIKED MY ASK EHE BATS MY EYELASHES .w. also i forgot smth; when you're looking for character phrases, i also mentioned "mannerisms", so just like you'd note down what characters are prone to saying, you might make a note of what they do when they feel certain emotions. perhaps take screenshots n stuff. like, when felix is talking to ralph awkwardly abt the 30th anniversary party, he fiddles with the hammer. the hammer is a symbol of his role in the game, and how it is in opposition with ralph's. it shows he's probably got that fact in the back of his mind, and also wants to be doing something better, more constructive, with his time.

some more examples might be a character clutching a necklace when they think about an old friend (a gift?), a character kneading their palms when they get upset (a stim they picked up from someone else? or perhaps this character used to be a baker and kneading bread became a part of their fidget/stim collection), etc. and yea i just wanted to clarify that part in case it wasnt clear (words are difficult for me).

14. which color of the sky is your favorite?

... I'm gonna answer that with pics

The only colour I dislike is the sheer blue of a calm day. But that rarely happens where I live! All seasons have gorgeous colours. Sunset never disappoints in any of them, for sure. Add some layered up clouds? You have yourself some natural art depiction.

But sunset with convective summer skies? Seeing Cbs grow as the afternoon goes by and the cicadas are singing in the back? The calm before the storm. More neutral toned skies are also pretty to me, specially when there's turmoil in them. That adds to the white some grey, even blue. Grey blueish skies appear most on winter afternoons, chill wind blowing from the south and bringing forward an air of change. Skies don't want to weep sometimes, but the southern wind makes the dark shapes appear and the drizzle gets you unannounced. Finally, I love the days with a quite tone but, always dramatic, filled with high level clouds that carry millions of little crystals. Depending on when you look at them they are more timid and stick with a translucent white. But other times they like playing with the sun to become gold or pink or orange. And other times they bring all the colours of the rainbow forward - even without rain. How gorgeous is that? And I'm not even going for the Most Special Of All: aurora-ridden skies.

Tl; dr: all of them!
