HIGH SCHOOL AU

Lenore is a huge chemistry lover. She and Duke would be neutralising acids and bases at the back of the classroom then betting a ridiculous amount of money that the other won’t drink it. (Pluto has just given up stopping them and just began quietly handing Duke whatever he needs while half-listening to the lecture half-trying to make sure his friends don’t die.)

The misfits (COUGH COUGH Lenore COUGH) have probably set a fire by accident while teasing each other. 🥰 They all got in trouble.

Berenice wants to see blood under the microscope, but uhhhh, no one wants her cutting herself (or someone else).

Eulalie refuses to do dissections. FROGS ARE FRIENDS.

Prospero and Annabel make the BEST notes and Ada is begging for them at the end of class. (Annie gives it, of course.)

Will takes notes for Monty, and when desperate, Ada asks (DEMANDS) for them. (Will says no. 🥰)

No, but Prospero would wash his hands maybe ten times when in the lab, whether it’s touching chemicals or organs or anything. (Germaphobia, yes. 😭)

Montresor is OBSESSED with dissections. He finds it super fascinating and of course, loves feeling mushy organs and blood on his hands. (When Prospero is paired with him, he forces Monty to wash his hands.)

Dodgeball when it’s boys vs girls, Lenore is protecting all the shy unathletic girls from getting hit, becoming a sort of ‘saviour’. All of them fall heads over heels for her. 😔

Berenice and Lenore are the power duo.

Duke and Pluto WISHES they could be half as good bruh.

Eulalie looks like she’s unathletic, but she is FAST.

Annabel insists she shouldn’t play dodgeball because her nails will get in the way. (She tosses a ball at Monty’s head later for being misogynistic about that.)

Ada in PE is WILD. She and Will are the most competitive unathletic goblins ever. While Will uses his thin stature to sneak around opponents, Ada straight up tackles him, using the excuse “Oh, but we’re playing football, aren’t we?” “Not American football, god’s sake!!!”

I’m sorry, but Monty playing football (idc which football) AHHHHHH. He and Will joined the school team together of course. (William Wilson only joined to be in the changing room with Monty.)

Morella is Ada’s personal shield, because Ada has ZERO awareness of her surroundings when she’s focused. Morella has to run and block balls from hitting her.

Annabel in English class writing ramblings about how much she loves Lenore, but plays it off as only ‘fiction’. (I’ve done that once, IT WORKS!!!)

Lenore takes French so she could communicate with Duke in secret. Pluto attempted to, but backed out after a few failed exams.

Pluto now takes Japanese and Eulalie is his tutor. 😔

Monty is the kind to refuse to learn any language other than English, because it’s the ‘superior language’. (He takes German lol, I can see him speaking German...but like he knows only random words and shouts them to feel smart.)

Ada sucks at foreign languages, but thinks she is fluent. She’s the student that yells out answers with the strangest accent. 😭

Ada and Monty are the couple that’s ALWAYS kissing, but they broke up like ten times then got back together so everyone’s just confused.

Annabel and Lenore pass notes in class and when asked to read it out, Lenore EATS THE PAPER.

Poor Will tries to make friends and always fail.

Duke and Pluto are the gayest ‘straight guys’. (People assume they’re straight, but… 👀)

Eulalie is the weird kid that when you get to know becomes your best friend.

Merry and Mourn are kind of the weird teachers. 😭 They give you detention for no reason and can be strict.

They definitely took some time to rework everything, but the kitchens were like top of the priority list because. Well. Night was always a fussy eater and now as an adult... not much has changed! So Ccino takes the time to start reorganizing like you said and they get to that point and the chefs have to explain it and. Ccino is unamused to say the least, mortified to sat the most.

He's still new to the whole managing other people thing, and he's still got that instinct to not accidentally step out of line, so he's a deer in the headlights before processing and going, "The King won't eat that, we should just... throw it out." And. I mean. Ccino's the boss here so they toss it as told. (It isn't until later that Ccino lets himself process that and get queasy about it-)

Nightmare never knows that Nim ate it or considered it a delicacy. When Night was freshly King, info like that would just add to his stressors, and he got to keep a hint of blissful ignorance <3

If so, drawing Sora casting a Firaga Burst (like he does in KH COM) could be fun? The pose of holding the keyblade in the air and a giant fireball is above it, raining down other smaller fireballs. Or a fun artwork of Sora and Donald casting a spell at enemies together?

10, 14 and 20 for ask game!

For 10: Is there a fic that got a different response than you were expecting?

All of them?!?! I write mainly in Dooku's Jedi era (pre-prequels? are we still calling it that?) and that was a super tiny part of the fandom back when the movies were actively coming out. It didn't seem possible anyone would care about it now, so having any readers is like... fucking AMAZING! I love each and every one of you DEARLY.

I'll also say, responses to my fics where I'm writing Dooku and Sifo-Dyas together has been interesting. I definitely lost a reader or two, which makes me sad, but I was really surprised and incredibly touched by the much larger positive response to it. Having been a queer person in the closet for a lot of my younger life, writing queer experiences openly is really cool to me.

For 14: If you could see one of your fics adapted into a visual medium, such as comic or film, which fan fic would you pick?

For 20: What’s a favorite title for a fic you’ve written?

I admit, I really like Milk Run. For those of you who haven't read it, in the fic, a "Milk Run" is a Jedi slang term for an easy lowstakes mission where nothing exciting happens. Dooku is recovering from an injury and so desperate to get out of the Temple that he'll take any mission - so he and Qui-Gon are assigned a classic good ol' Milk Run. Of course, this is wonderful because Dooku knows how to handle the most dangerous missions the galaxy can throw at him, but not how to sit still, and it's fun to write him doing things he's bad at.

It also gave me a thematic chance to explore a topic I love: Jedi working nontraditional Jedi jobs. Jocasta and Sifo-Dyas lives as Jedi who both serve the Order in less traditional "run in with your lightsaber out" roles. Jocasta obviously in the Archives, and Sifo-Dyas currently supervising a group of graduate students at a Jedi archeological dig site.

There's actually a snippet I love where Sifo-Dyas is trying to explain to Dooku that there are other ways to deal with a space pirate queen that kind of hits at the heart of the fic's Milk Run theme:

“She threatens you?” Dooku tried unsuccessfully to keep the outrage out of his voice. He couldn’t possibly follow Sifo-Dyas around for their whole lives finishing his fights for him. Even if he might still want to try.

“Not in a real way. It seemed like almost pageantry to her, or posturing. You know, her crew gets to see her face off with a Jedi, and I get to pull out my lightsaber and wave it around in front of the graduate students, all just good fun…I never thought she’d actually try something.” He scowled. “Especially not with the connivance of the asshole Arnet!

“Sifo…” The words "wave it around" were echoing surreally through Dooku’s head.

“I know, I know. I’m releasing my anger into the Force.”

“No, it wasn’t that…" In his own career as a Jedi, Dooku was occasionally called out to deal with especially troublesome pirates on missions that were more his typical, life-threatening dangerous style, decidedly not milk runs, or research on cultural sites. There was nothing of good fun or lightsaber-waving in the desperate violence of those encounters. “I was just going to say… your life… it is sometimes strange to me.”

“What, just because of the Queen Theo thing?”

“This situation where you and a space pirate recreationally antagonize each other for the entertainment of your subordinates is a fine example of what I mean.” Dooku scoffed. “Come to think of it, perhaps you ought to have slept with her after all. She might have been less inclined to eventually steal from you.”

“Oh, wow, so you know all about pleasing women now.”

Dooku shot him a venomous look. “I get by.”

Sifo-Dyas began to laugh. “I honestly don’t understand why people think you have no sense of humor. You’re completely hilarious.”

“Here’s your tea, sir!”

Shinichi looks up and smiles at the server beside him, taking in his charming grin and playful, viridian eyes. “Thank you…” He makes an effort to look like he’s studying the other man’s name tag pinned to his apron, even though he knows his name perfectly well. “...Heiji.”

Heiji grins, surprised and wide. “Anything else I can get for you today?”

“How about a little company?” Shinichi asks boldly, secure in the knowledge that his advances won’t be rejected.

Not here, anyway.

“Oh!” Heiji looks around the nearly empty tea shop before turning back to him. “I really shouldn’t…we have customers.” He bites his lip briefly before grinning again. “But I suppose it wouldn’t hurt for a little while. Hey, Kazuha!” He calls over his shoulder as he pulls out the chair opposite Shinichi’s at the little table. “I’m takin’ my 15!”

“Ugh, fine! But keep yer flirtin’ to 15 minutes, please!” She calls back from somewhere behind the cafe’s large counter.

Heiji laughs as he settles across from Shinichi and rests his chin in a propped up hand. “So, bold stranger. What now?”

“Why don’t you tell me about yourself?” Shinichi asks, taking a sip of his tea. It’s perfect, just the way he always takes it, and he smirks at the man across from him. “I’d love to learn more about the handsome barista I see every morning.”

Heiji’s eyebrows fly up and his mouth opens slightly in surprise. Shinichi loves that expression on him; moreso when he’s the cause. He doesn’t have the opportunity to catch Heiji off-guard often.

(One of the reasons he enjoys it here so much.)

Heiji laughs and rakes his eyes over Shinichi’s form slowly. “All right, stranger,” he smirks, making smoldering eye-contact. “You asked for it.”

Shinichi grins back, relaxing into his seat as Heiji opens his mouth-

And promptly fades to black, along with the entire scene.

“...No!” Shinichi yells into the aether, trying to keep a firm grip on the coffee mug that evaporates into thin air. “Wait-!”

Only silence and darkness answer him.

Shinichi sighs and folds his arms over his chest as he sulks into the void.

Not again.

Dan does know how to cook but he doesn't do it too often. He used to watch Wendy cook and she would talk to him about what she was preparing during his silent moments after the Overlook. Dick would also give him lessons when he would visit as a bonding moment to help relax Dan and give him a chance to use his shine more.

He enjoys making simple foods the most, the ones Wendy used to make on weekends when they were together and able to have fun with each other. Spaghetti or pancakes, just things that remind him of a more simple time ! His favorite food definitely is anything with meat, like burgers or tacos lol

⚙ Saw: How judgemental is your f/o of other people? What sorts of things do they believe are right and wrong morally?

Dan is kiind of judgemental? like he doesnt really judge others choices cause like he hasnt made the best himself, but he does tend to have more negative thoughts about others if he thinks theyre not doing the right thing. Like he judges Deenie alot in the dr sleep book for partying and leaving her son at home alone, but he also wants to help her with her abusive brother at the same time by finding him and beating him up. He also tends to have a good judge of character if he focuses due to his abilities !

He often wants to do the right thing, especially after he sobers up! Like he immediately wants to help Abra when she's in danger but he wants to find a solution in a cautious and safe manner. He has a good heart and regrets a lot of his early actions and is constantly trying to be a better person from the one he was, which is super admirable !

Megumi baby has soooooo many songs I connect him to. Roadkill and Keep The Rain by Searows, Backslide by Twenty One Pilots, evermore by Taylor Swift (ft Bon Iver), and Save Me by Noah Kahan.

18. Share a headcanon about your favorite character.

Animals just naturally gravitate towards Megumi. He'll come across feral cats, people walking their dogs, random frogs and reptiles and they'll all just chill with him as long as they can.

Loser/funny answer is something warrior cat themed. It's become a part of my irl brand because I was in so fucking deep in elementary and middle school, that's become a big inside job for my family and friends to associate with me.

12. If you could change one even in Jujutsu Kaisen, what would it be?

Easily Yuki’s death, but more specifically how she died. The whole situation with her is my biggest complaint of the entire series, I’m being so deadass. Other complaints I have are mostly just things I think could have been done better but I understand the intent whereas Yuki was SUCH an underutilized character imo.

She was so fucking cool and had such a rad CT that we only got to see ONCE. I wouldn’t have minded as much if she’d been in a few fights beforehand and then died in the fight with Kenjaku, but all we got beforehand was everyone saying she’s one of the three Special Grades and then she dies in the first battle we see?????? L for that choice, gege.

13. Which character do you think deserves more screen time or development?

Yuki. And Kirara. I would have liked to see more of her backstory and interactions with Tengen. And Kirara is just our cool trans queen, I want to see more of her and Hakari.

❝ Oh yeah, I think 'bout that A LOT. Ya'll know how fuckin' annoyin' it is 'ta have hair this long? It's a fuckin' pain. ❞ Indeed, he often thought about just chopping it all the fuck off. Shaving his head. He'd probably look even worse than he already did but - at least then he'd be rid of all this annoying hair. Whenever it was windy, it would whip him in his one good eyeball. It clogged the drain in the shower. It got in his mouth when he slept. It was in the way at work, so he had to put it up in a bun. In summer, it was hot as hell when it stuck to the back of his neck. Those were just SOME of the annoying aspects of having long hair.

Still - he chose it. There were a few reasons for that. The number one was probably that his hair had been long for so many years. It was sort of a comfort thing, like with his bracelets. He figured he'd feel strange as hell if he suddenly chopped all his hair off. Another reason was that one of the best feelings he knew, was washing his hair. Hair-play in general was his favorite thing, and even though he didn't have a partner anymore who could perform that for him - he could get some of the same feeling when he showered. Another reason? He liked the fact that his hair made his neck look less skinny. Nnoitra had a thin neck ( fitting to the rest of his skinny body ), and that made him look vulnerable. He didn't like that. His thick hair hid that ( it was also the reason for his hairstyle ). He also liked how his bangs fell over his eyepatch, covering it a little to make it look less obvious... Even though it was so big that everyone could see it. He didn't know whether or not his hair made him look less ugly. That was not really a concern of his. His looks had never been a priority. He HAD been told that he had very nice hair, so that was something. And yet another reason for not cutting it? He didn't want to go to a hair-dresser. He could probably cut it himself, but then he'd look like an idiot for sure, since he had no idea how to cut hair. Having some random ass stranger cut his hair? Having scissors that close to his throat? No fucking thanks. So he'd just keep it long. Whatever.

When Natasha gets your name for Secret Santa, she tries to think of the perfect gift for you

Note: I’m back! Well, technically I never left but I’ve been up to my ears in studying for the cpa exam. I took what was hopefully my last exam today, and let Natasha come back into my brain lol. Enjoy this holiday fluff!

“Okay, on to the topic of the Christmas party. What if do Secret Santa names this year?” Tony suggests.

“What does that entail?” Steve asks what everyone else is thinking.

“Well, we’d all write down a few things we like. It gives the person who gets your name an idea of what you want,” Tony explains.

“I like it,” Steve agrees. “What does everyone think?”

A chorus of sures and okays follow.

“Y/n, can you take care of it?” Steve asks.

You agree easily. You’ve always loved the holidays so the idea of helping the Avengers have a good one is exciting. Especially since it’s your first year with the team.

You get everyone’s names on notecards and spend the rest of the day getting everyone to fill them out with gift ideas. Wanda helps you collect them from the team before the next team meeting the next morning.

“Okay, everyone I have all of the names here. Draw one and whatever you get is what you have. No switching allowed,” you tell the team, mainly Tony.

You eyeball him as you say it and he at least pretends to look offended before he grins.

When you get to Natasha, you smile at her shyly.

“What if I get my own name?” She asks with a smirk.

She reaches into the bowl of names before you can answer. Her expression is unreadable as she looks at the card.

“Good?” You ask.

“It’s good,” Natasha replies.

You move on and keep going until everyone’s been picked. You got Wanda, which should be super easy.

On the other hand, Natasha got you. She thinks about it for a few days before deciding that she doesn’t want to get you anything on your list. She decides to go to your best friend on the team for advice.

“You got a second?” Natasha asks, knocking on Wanda’s open doorframe.

“Oh,” the girl is caught off guard. She doesn’t spend much time talking to Nat aside from about missions. “Sure.”

Natasha walks in and closes the door behind her. She sits down at Wanda’s desk across from where the girl sits on her bed.

“Is everything okay?” Wanda asks.

Natasha doesn’t immediately assure her it is and she gets worried. “So, I got y/n for secret santa.”

Wanda’s tenseness goes away and she can’t help a little smirk forming as Nat is talking.

“And I know she has things on this list,” she says. “But I don’t think a single one of these things is good enough for her. I don’t know what I should get for her, but she deserves the best gift.”

“Natasha,” Wanda interjects. “You’re taking this way too seriously.”

“Oh,” Nat expresses. “She- well she loves Christmas, right? I saw how excited she’s been about the tree and then the secret Santa and the movies. All of it. I want it to be special for her.”

“That’s really sweet,” Wanda says. “You like her, huh.”

“Can you help me?” Natasha keeps the focus on the conversation at hand. She does like you though.

“Of course. Anything for y/n.”

“Thank you,” Natasha says, feeling the relief set in.

The two brainstorm ideas for a couple of hours. When Wanda shows late for your usual nightly dinner, she wears a grin.

“What?” You ask her. “Fun with Vision?”

Wanda chuckles and you share a laugh with her.

“Who’d you get for Secret Santa?” You ask her.

“I can’t tell you,” she says.

“Sure you can.”

“Who’d you get?” She counters.

“I can’t tell you.”

“Sure you can,” she mocks you.

The rest of the days leading up to Christmas go by fast. Unfortunately everyone had to go on a mission on Christmas Eve, so you’re all exhausted on Christmas Day morning.

Tony postponed the gift exchange until later in the day, and everyone is much more rested by then.

Even with the hustle and bustle, you notice Natasha hasn’t made it to the get together yet.

“Hey Clint, where’s Nat?” You ask the archer. He was working closely with her on the mission.

“I think she just needed to take some time alone.”

“Oh, okay.”

You go about the party for a few more minutes before deciding to go check on Natasha.

You go to her room and knock on the door. She takes a minute to answer, but finally the door opens to reveal a distressed Natasha.

Her hair is messy and she’s wearing a hoodie and sweatpants. You haven’t seen her this way before.

“Hey,” you say. “We missed you down there.”

“Sorry,” she says. “Uh, come in.”

Her room is clean and exactly like you expected it. There are a few photos of Natasha and Clint’s family on a dresser, but that’s really the extent of the decor.

“Are you okay?” You ask her.

“Yeah, just a bad mission.”

“I’m sorry.”

“Don’t be,” Nat says. “It’s a me problem.”

“Hey, we’re teammates. And- we’re friends. It’s an us problem.”

Natasha can’t help but smile a little at that. You make her feel better by just being here.

“I don’t think I’m in the party mood. The guys aren’t so sensitive to my feelings.”

“Hey, that’s alright. I’ll just take your gift if you want me to. I’ll make sure it gets to the right person,” you explain.

“Oh, actually I had you. And I didn’t get a gift off of your list.”

Your eyes go wide. You didn’t even consider that Nat would get you. Thinking back to your list, you hope she didn’t find anything you wrote down as lame.

“Not because they were bad ideas. It’s just- I wanted to do something more meaningful,” she reads your mind.

Natasha crosses the room and grabs a box out of her closet. It’s wrapped nicely.

“You wrapped that?” You ask.

“You seem surprised,” Nat jokes. “I have skills.”

“Oh, I’m aware,” you say before blushing a bit. She smirks.

She hands you the box and you sit down on the edge of her bed together to open it. Nat watches you shyly as you open the gift.

“Natasha,” you whisper as you reveal the gift.

It’s a beautiful locket necklace.

“Open it,” she says.

On the inside of the locket, there’s a photo of your family. Your favorite photo to be exact.

“How did you-“

“Wanda helped,” Nat says. “I know you’ve been missing home since you joined the Avengers. I thought you’d want to have a piece of them with you on missions.”

“Natasha, that’s- well that’s the nicest thing anyone’s ever done for me,” you say, fighting back tears.

“You like it then?”

“I love it. Thank you,” you say sincerely. “Will you put it on me?”

Nat nods and takes the necklace from your hands. She unclasps it and stands behind you to put it around your neck. Her hands are gentle as she clasps the necklace and brushes against your skin.

“Beautiful,” she says when you stand and face her.

“You are, yeah,” you surprise her by saying. You dare to reach out for her hand. She takes it easily and interlocks your fingers. “I wish I got you something.”

“Oh, I think you just gave me the best gift,” Natasha says.

“I did?”

“Mhm,” she confirms. “Come here.”

Natasha leans in, pulling you closer to her with the hand that’s free by the back of your neck. Her gentle hand from before has a bit more urgency.

You can’t help but smile as she kisses your lips. Finally, both of you think. Finally.

“Merry Christmas, y/n,” Natasha says when she breaks for air.

Hated it at first since it felt like you were trying to on up him

Would start to research more topics on his own to make sure you can't one up him on it

Turns this into a competition that's completely one sided for no reason LMAO

Stays up all night up just to learn the most niche and useless information of all time

But somehow, you always know more than him and beat him

Gets so frustrated by this because he can't stand not being the smartest know-it-all in the room

So he decides to try and make YOU seem stupid

Asks you super hard questions that no one could possibly know

But for some reason, you know it

This drives him even crazier cause he can't win LOL

But overtime, he grows to find it really useful and cute at times

He likes to see how passionate you are on different things

And he does like smart girls, so he starts to see it as a pro

TOM RIDDLE

Super annoyed by the fun facts and random info at the start

Mainly because he probably already knows it or he doesn't care for it

Because if he was interested, he would have searched it up already

So in his eyes, it seems like you're call him too lazy and dumb to want to search something up

So he tells you to shut up right away when he knows you're going to info dump

But sometimes, he genuinely doesn't know and he hates admitting that

He's super bad at social interactions, online culture, etc, so he does need help with those

But he's too egotistical to admit that

So he starts to just "ignore you" when you info dump

You'll explain the deep and complicated lore of Trisha Paytas and once you're done he'll say, "Huh? Oh I was spacing out."

But in reality, he was listening in depth and taking mental notes

So he starts to use this to his advantage since you do describe every very well

He starts to silently train you in a way

For example, he'll place a group of items in front of you, like a blue shirt next to a Slytherin hoodie

This will then remind you of Alvin and the Chipmunks so you dive into the deep lore of each actor

MATTHEO RIDDLE

Doesn't really care much at first since he's always been a bit dumber than other kids

He assumed everything you were saying was common knowledge and that he was just dumb

But when others start to mention how smart you are, he's surprised

He has a smart s/o :O

Well, he always knew that but to find out that you were smarter than a majority of people gave him a confidence boost

Starts to rely on you for every single question he has possible

Even if he knows the answer, he just wants to see if he's right

He likes it when you info dump to him

Surprisingly, he's a really good listener when it comes to you

Loves listening to you talk for hours on end

THEODORE NOTT

He's not much of a talker, so having you there to info dump on him is really amusing

You're like a walking podcast for him to listen to

Likes to ask you questions too so you can switch topics

He's super proud of seeing how smart you are

Theo is pretty smart, the smartest out of the Slytherin boy group at least (Which isn't that hard) (Tom doesn't count LOL)

So it's nice for him to finally talk to someone that doesn't ask dumb ass questions every 5 minutes

It's like switching his brain off so he can just listen to you talk and explain

It makes him feel safer with you to know that you're so smart and into so many things

He also loves it because it makes it so easy to buy you a gift since he knows exactly what you like :)

LORENZO BERKSHIRE

You're both kinda in the same boat which is amazing and bad

He's also into info dumping and telling you about the niche history he found out

But so are you, so you two end up clashing and having different ideas

Like for example, you were both info dumping about the brand new live actions Avatar the Last Air Bender and you both had drastically different thoughts

Lorenzo thought a lot of it was inaccurate but you were defending it with your life

But in the end, you both just shut up because you accidentally switch topics mid way

He loves asking you questions about niche topics so he doesn't have to research them himself

Likes listening to you talk while he eats

Sometimes he'll facetime you while he has dinner so he can listen to you talk

And sometimes he even calls you before bed so you can talk him to sleep :)
