i see you're answering asks related to your ocs from a while ago, i got curious on which was your first oc and how much they changed since you created them to now, example if you changed their name, appereance, personality...
have a nice day !! <33
Hello!
My first OC was actually Damon! I drew him for the first time on December 15th last year, shortly after I started drawing. He was based on an emergency fire sprinkler in my apartment… haha. Originally, his name was Null. He was very hard for me to draw, honestly, so I didn’t draw him very much. Then I drew Avery for the first time on December 23rd, latched onto him very quickly, and didn’t draw Null again until October 14th this year, when I finally felt confident enough to redesign him and give him a new name. Here’s his original design and his new one, which I just drew tonight! He is still very hard for me to draw, haha, but I love him just the same.

Klaus Mikaelson X Soulmate!Reader x Elijah Mikaelson Written in the Stars-Ch. 27
Word Count- 5.6k
Warnings- SMUT- SHITTY SMUT MIND YOU I’VE NEVER WRITTEN IT BEFORE SUE ME, ****Bloodplay kind of??????****Mentions of burns, mentions of burning bridges, swearing, making out, nudity, sexual thingies, !!!!!!ELIJAH!!!!!!
A/N- Ya I’m going to hell. This is so bad. I might delete. We all know Elijah gives off Daddy vibes so I want none of you hoes messaging me and telling me his actions are out of character in this chapter. Got it? GOT IT!?
A/N- for those who don't want to read the smut I wrote where it begins and ends!
Elijah’s pissed.
He’s like really pissed.
I’m screwed.
-10 Minutes Earlier-
“You burnt down a bridge?”
“Why didn’t you invite me?”
“I was going to do that.”
I blow out a breath as I glance from Finn, Kol, and then Rebekah.
“Um, not me,” I gesture to Sage, “We.”
Sage deadpans a look at me and I give her a shrug.
“Why did you burn down a bridge, Y/n?”
I turn back towards Finn who seems bewildered.
“We,” I gesture to Sage again, who rolls her eyes, “Burned down the bridge and the bridge’s sign because Sage found out that the wood that created both was made from White Oak…you know…the same White Oak that could kill the lot of y’all.”
“Pardon?”
I turn to Kol who is looking at me skeptically.
“The last of the white oak was burnt down over a millennium ago. We made sure of that.”
“Brother, it’s true,” Bekah says, “I was going to burn down that bloody bridge myself tonight.”
“How is this possible? How do you know this Rebekah?! And why did you keep it to yourself!?”
Klaus yells at his sister after being silent for the first time in his life. Elijah on the other hand, who is leaning against the staircase behind him, hasn’t made a peep.
I eye Rebekah warily and side-eye Sage who side-eyes me.
“The Salvatores!”
I quickly yelp out trying to help Rebekah from having to admit that she had a threesome with both Sage and Demon.
“Yep. I was snooping as I usually do and overheard Damon asking the Mayor about some records about the town's bridge and such. And then Sage here did some digging, the same digging I’m sure Bekah did,” I nod to Bekah who is nodding along with me, “and then that’s when Sage found out from Damon and some records he has at the boarding house that the bridge is made from White Oak.”
I finish my dialogue off with an almost convincing smile and look at the vampires around me. Rebekah gives me a soft smile and nods, agreeing with me, Kol still looks skeptical, as does his Hybrid brother, Finn looks confused, per usual, and Elijah…hasn’t looked away from the wall in front of him in the past 5 minutes.
Everyone is silent.
“This is the part where you guys say thank you,” I give them an awkward toothy smile.
“Thank you,” Kol yells sarcastically, “Thank you for what?! For one, you burnt down an entire bridge on the ramblings of a vampire that wants to kill our family, and if that’s not bad then you went and burned down an entire bridge…without me. Who do you think you are?”
“Watch it,” Klaus snarls at his younger brother.
“Who am I?!”
I begin to march over to Kol with my finger pointed and Klaus walks in front of me, stopping me.
“Easy, Astin Min,” Klaus tries to calm me down but I shove past him.
“Who am I? One, I’m the one who just burnt down the thing that would kill you and your entire family. Two, I’m also the one who some weird ass fate thing decided that I’m supposed to carry the souls of your brothers?! AND to remind you all if those two,” I point towards Klaus and Elijah, “were to die, so do I! So if you’re having a fit about me burning down a bridge, literally shut the fuck up because it’s self preservation.”
I rub a hand over my face in exhaustion.
“Y/n, are you alright?”
I take my hand off my face and look at Finn, who is frowning at me, “I’m all good, Finney. Just past my bedtime and incredibly exhausted and not in the mood for that,” I point a finger at Kol, “Right now.”
“What the hell did I do?”
I roll my eyes at Kol’s comment.
Klaus sniffing the air catches my attention, “Yes, I know. I’ve got to take a shower to get this gas smell off of me.”
Klaus takes a quick stride over to me and grabs my shoulders and his eyes frantically look over my figure, “You’re hurt. Where?”
I try to shrug his death grip but he just holds me in place, “I just got a little burnt from a stray flame. Nothing bad.”
Klaus’ eyes darken, “Where Y/n?”
I shrug off my loose sweatshirt and show him the not so small burn that runs across my upper forearm.
“Ok, yikes,” I breathe through my nose as I process how it kind of actually stings like a bitch, “Not so little.”
Klaus releases a growl and he quickly goes to bite his wrist but I stop him, grabbing his hand.
“Nope. Every little booboo I get doesn’t need your blood.”
Klaus narrows his dark eyes at me.
“Y/n, to be honest with you, the little “booboos” you always have aren’t as little as you think they are,” Rebekah comments with a judging look.
“You’re being delusional,” I scoff.
“Were you not shot?”
I gasp at Finn’s words.
“Phineas, I told you that as a secret.”
Finn frowns and mumbles an apology.
“Secret? You quite literally told me that 30 minutes ago,” Sage raises an eyebrow at me.
“Yes and?”
“We met 40 minutes ago.”
I suck on my teeth. Oh.
“Wait, you got shot?”
I side-eye Kol, “No.”
I hear Kol mutter something but I don’t pay attention as I watch Elijah shake his head and walk back up the staircase, his left hand gripping the bannister as he goes.
“All of you leave,” Klaus’ voice booms, and I nod and begin walking towards the door.
“Bloody hell, luv. Not you,” I feel him grab my hand and pull me back towards him.
I hear Kol mutter something again before leaving the room, Sage and Finn both look at me and Sage sends me a small smile before looking back up to Finn with stars in her eyes. Finn stops for a moment before me and raises his hand. He pauses it midair, as if he’s not quite sure of his movements, but then he places his hand on my shoulder and squeezes.
“Thank you, Y/n. You’ve given me something I’ll never be able to thank you enough for…but I will try to repay you for this.”
I smile at Finn, “All in a day's work, Phineas. No need to thank me.”
Finn lifts his hand and spares his brother a fleeting glance before leaving the room with Sage in tow.
“Bloody hell, everyone in this family is so dramatic,” I look over Klaus’ shoulder to where Rebekah is leaving the room.
“Good night Rebekah,” I call and she waves her hand.
“I should probably go check on Elijah,” I say to Klaus, and begin to move past him, but as I graze his shoulder, a gasp escapes my lips as I’m whipped back around and Klaus’ lips are pressed onto mine.
It takes me a moment before I process what’s happening, but after a second I’m drowning in Klaus’ lips. I reach my hand up and run my fingers through Klaus’ dark blonde hair and suck in a breath as I feel Klaus’ toungue fight its way into my mouth. I don’t put up a fight and open my mouth slightly more to grant him leeway. He uses this opportunity to sink his tongue into my mouth and massage my tongue with his. I feel Klaus’ hand lower from my upper back down towards my ass and it doesn’t take him but another second to use his big hand to squeeze it, making me gasp.
“Fuck,” Klaus takes his toungue from my mouth and uses his teeth to pull on my lower lip.
“You’re perfect.”
I feel the tips of my ears warm at his comment and I use all my strength to shove him slightly back.
“You’re distracting.”
Klaus’s blue eyes are no longer dark, instead they have a small shine in them that makes them look similar to a small pond in springtime.
Klaus leans down to meet my eye level, “You seem to like how distracting I am.”
I fight back a smirk, “Shut up, Mutt.”
Klaus smiles at me. Not his usual smirk, or his annoying ass snarl, but an actual smile.
“You should do that more,” I point to his face and his eyebrows furrow.
“Do what?”
“Smile.”
Klaus smirks, “I do smile a lot.”
I shake my head, “Nah, you smirk a lot. Like you’re doing right now. I mean an actual smile. You have a pretty one.”
My comment seems to have taken Klaus aback and he clears his throat, “I am not pretty.”
I smirk at him, “Oh yes you are. You’re so pretty.”
I don’t give him the chance to rebut my statement as I lean forward and place a quick kiss to his warm cheek.
I quickly move past him and head towards the stairs where Elijah went.
“Thank you,” Klaus’ voice comes from behind me.
“For calling you pretty? Anytime,” I turn over my shoulder and wink at him and he rolls his eyes.
“No. Not for that. For burning the white oak and protecting myself and my family.”
I shrug, “All in a day's work.”
I release a shaky breath as I knock on Elijah’s door. I hum to myself as I wait for a response and it takes another moment before I hear a low, “Come in.”
I grab the nob and gently open the door. I’m not quite sure why I’m being so cautious. I’m not scared of Elijah by any means but I just have an uneasy feeling in my stomach. It’s been there since I saw him make his way up the stairs earlier.
I open the door and step in. I glance around the dimly lit room, and a smell of leather, bourbon and something earthy fills my nose.
“Elijah?”
“What, Y/n?”
I whip my head to see Elijah exiting from an adjoining room. His suit jacket is off and his white button up is rolled up at the elbows. I watch as he walks behind a dark wooden desk and sits down in a maroon leather chair. He grabs a glass bottle of some dark liquor and pours it into a glass.
I continue to watch silently as he downs the glass in one go and then begins to pour himself another.
“Are you alright?”
Elijah holds the glass in his hand as he leans back in his chair. For the first time tonight he finally meets my eye.
“Why wouldn’t I be?”
His normally calm gaze his gone and replaced by a look I’ve never seen on him before. It unsettles me. I’m not sure if in a good way or bad.
“You left quite quickly,’’ I say softly.
Elijah is silent for a moment, giving me more time to glance around his room. Dark wooden bookshelves line the walls from corner to corner, filled with hundreds of books that appear to be of all ages. A grand stone fireplace is at the forefront of the room, and a small couch is planted in front of it, and a king-size bed with dark blue bedding is to my left. All of it is so him. So, Elijah.
“Hmm.”
Elijah’s hum almost sounds sarcastic, which makes me raise an eyebrow at him.
“What?”
Elijah looks back towards his drink and mixes it, “How's your burn?”
I eye the red burnt skin on my arm and then slit my eyes at Elijah.
“It’s fine. Why do you ask?”
My answer seems to have amused Elijah because he huffs out a laugh and then downs the rest of his drink.
He puts the glass back down so hard I’m surprised it didn’t shatter.
“Why do I ask? Why did I ask?!”
Elijah runs a hand over his face and then undoes the top two buttons of his shirt. He stands up from his chair and places his hands atop his desk and stares at me. His dark brown eyes are black in this light and I notice the frantic ticking in his jaw.
Oh.
He’s pissed.
“Elijah…did I do something to make you mad?”
I take a small step into the room and Elijah’s eyes mark every move I make. With Klaus there were many moments where I felt like the prey and he the predator, but never with Elijah. Not until now. Something about the way his left index finger keeps tapping his desk, his clenched jaw, and his dark eyes make me feel like he could pounce at any moment and I wouldn’t be able to do anything.
“Did you?”
Again his reply comes out almost mocking and if I weren’t dealing with a ticking time bomb right now I’d probably yell at this bitch.
“Elijah, if I did something to make you upset I need to know what that thing is before I can apologize,” I try to reason with him as I take another cautious step forward.
Elijah tilts his head, “And if I said I didn’t want your apologies?”
Ok. Now I’m getting annoyed.
I shrug, “Then I can just leave you to be in your mood and we can talk tomorrow when you want to discuss things like adults.”
Elijah’s lips twitch into a dark smirk, “Like adults? Really? And who exactly here is an adult? You?”
I frown at Elijah’s tone, it’s something cruelly sarcastic and for the first time since meeting Elijah I realize I’ve never seen him this unnerving. And I’ve literally watched him murder people.
“Why are you being like this?”
Elijah moves his hands off his desk, stands to his full height, and begins to move from behind his desk. I watch with bated breath as he comes around the desk to stand in front of it. He leans back against it, using his arms to hold himself up and places his right leg over his left. If someone were to walk in right now, it would almost appear that he was relaxed or casual, but as soon as they’d notice the gleam in his dark eyes, they knew they’d have been mistaken.
“Come here,” He says simply.
I furrow my eyebrows and shake my head, “What? No. You don’t get to just beckon me after being rude.”
“Y/n, come.”
His tone leaves no room for argument so I do what he says. God I’m a little bitch.
I take a few steps forward and eye the man in front of me, Elijah watches my every move like a hawk.
I stamp my feet into the ground and pretend to bow, “Happy now.”
Elijah narrows his eyes, “Don’t be a brat.”
I choke on my words at the tone he uses to say “Brat.” God Damnit. Wait.
Am I turned on right now?
No.
No?
Definitely not.
I think…
“I am not a brat,” I counter.
Elijah raises an eyebrow and then raises his hand and uses his index finger to call me closer.
“No. If you want to be fucking face to face you come over here,” I finally stand my ground.
Not thinking he would actually listen to me, you could imagine my surprise when he pushes himself off the desk and practically stalks towards me. My mind pretty much goes blank as he comes to stand so close, the tips of our shoes are touching.
We’re both silent as we stare back at one another. Or more so I slightly glare at him while he accesses me.
“Do you know how irresponsible you were tonight?”
I frown, “Excuse me? What the fuck do you mean irresponsible?”
“I think it would be in your best interest right now if you watched that mouth of yours. I’m already fighting back every thought in my mind to not punish you for the actions you’ve made tonight. Those nasty words coming out of your mouth are not easing any of those thoughts.”
Punish me? Who the fuck is this guy and where is my sweet blushing Elijah?!
“Elijah dude, I think you just need to chill out, alright?”
Elijah’s upper lip twitches and I realize I’ve said the wrong thing.
“Number one, Gemæcca, I am not your dude. So stop referring to me as such, and number two, I will not “chill out” especially after how childish you acted tonight.”
Alright fuck this guy.
Oh, I’m sure you want to freak.
Shut up!
“Is this about the fire? Is this why you’re being such a dick right now?”
My language seems to piss Elijah off even more, “I’m being a “dick” right now because my mate seems to have no sense of self preservation or thought.”
I clench my hand over and over again to not start throwing punches with this bitch.
“What did you just say to me,” I bite out.
“I said I was done with dealing with you, just throwing yourself into stupid and idiotic situations when your life is too fragile. Niklaus may get proud and turned on enough to swallow your tongue in our foyer at the thought of you putting yourself into danger like you did tonight,” Elijah leans down so our faces are a mere few inches apart, “But I assure you, I do not.”
Oh so he heard that. Oops.
“Well, maybe I let Klaus stick his tongue down my throat because unlike you he doesn’t treat me like a child, Elijah. Ever think of that?”
Elijah narrows his eyes at me, “I do not think of you as a child. But, when you make childish decisions that put you into harm's way-”
“I can make my own decisions, Elijah!”
“Just because you can doesn’t mean you always fucking should!”
Elijah’s booming voice shocks me and makes me step back.
He must’ve realized he went too far because his face drops slightly, and he rubs his hand over his face again.
“Elskan I-”
“No, Elijah, don’t apologize. I should be the one apologizing to you, how sorry I am that you had to end up with such a childish annoyance as a mate. Sad and poor Elijah,” I fake a frown and then go back to glaring at the man.
Elijah’s face darkens and he closes the gap between us and before I can react his hand is grabbing my lower face, “Your existence has never and will never be an annoyance to me. Do you understand that, Y/n? Never. Do you not realize the decisions you make don’t just affect you but everyone around you? If something were to happen to you, if you were to,” He releases a harsh breath, “If you were to die, do you not understand the pain and ruin you would be leaving behind? What of Theo? What of your friends? What of Klaus or I?”
Elijah uses both of his hands to push my face closer to his, “Y/n, I need you to understand this, if you were to perish…I would not survive it,” Elijah clenches his jaw and shakes his head as if just the thought of me dying is too much for him to bear, “Do you know I’ve already decided what I would do if something were to happen to you? I would make my brother dagger me in my heart and put me out of my bloody misery because leaving in my mind and being cursed by that bloody dagger until the end of time would still be an easier burden to bear than having to wake up every morning knowing that I would never lay eyes on the love of my life ever again.”
I don’t even realize I’m crying until Elijah’s thumb brushes away a stray tear.
“So yes I am mad, Y/n. I am enraged that you do not realize that every fleeting decision you make, every wound you collect,” He grabs my arm and makes me look at my burnt skin, “Isn’t the most horrifying thing to me. When I saw you walk in smelling like smoke, and burnt skin, I couldn’t bear it. I can’t bear it. Never in a thousand years have I felt the type of pain you bring me.”
I stare wide-eyed at Elijah and don’t speak. I don’t speak because I truly, for the first time in my entire life, have no idea what to say.
Elijah must realize this because after a moment of silence, he leans down and places a soft kiss right next to my lips, he leans back slightly and looks at me, and I lean back into him. Elijah leans down again but this time kisses my lips. He leans back after a moment with a clenched jaw.
“You smell like my brother.”
I reach my hand up and run it along his face, “Then make me smell like you.”
*start of smut*
In a flash my body is moved so my back is pressed to Elijah’s front and his mouth is attached to my throat. I release a low moan as Elijah's teeth graze my neck and I angle my head so he can have better access. He takes this opportunity to run his tongue along my throat and this is when I feel his sharp canines graze my skin.
“You can,” I turn my head to look at him, which was honestly a mistake because the crazed look in his eyes is making me feel things I don’t even think I felt while reading Fifty Shades.
Elijah shakes his head, “Did I not just talk to you about wounds?”
I shake my head, “You can heal me after, do it Elijah. I want you to.”
Dark veins appear under Elijah’s eyes and I reach out to run my finger over them, making Elijah release a low groan. Elijah pulls me in by my hair and smashes his lips to mine. A fast movement later and Elijah has his hands on my ass and my legs are wrapped around his neck as he carries me to his desk.
His mouth is still on mine as he swipes a hand over his desk and everything on it goes flying off. I hear glass breaking, which turns my attention, and I go to say something, but Elijah sucking and kssing my neck makes my mind go blank.
“Holy fuck,” I feel myself clench my legs together but am blocked by Elijah’s frame.
I feel Elijah’s smirk before I hear it, “Language, Elskan, or I’ll stop.”
“Oh God, please don’t.”
Elijah places another kiss to my neck before looking back up to me. It takes me only a moment to realize he’s checking to see if I’m alright.
“I said you could, Lijah” I stretch my neck so he has more room.
Elijah slowly nods his head and begins to press more gentle kisses to my neck but as I feel his fangs graze my neck, I release a deep breath. Not another second goes by before I’m closing my eyes in pain, from the sharp searing in my neck. I release a shaky breath but oddly enough the pain starts to change into…something more pleasurable after a moment. Don’t get me wrong it still hurts like a bitch but with the mix of Elijah’s sucking, his toungue cleaning the wound, and his hands: which have now found themselves massaging my underwear line, all of it is so…fucking good.
Elijah licks up my neck once more before standing back and staring at me.  I feel a cold liquid run down my neck and I watch as a line of dark crimson blood flows from my neck down over my chest and through the valley of my breasts, staining my white pajama top. And holy fuck I’d be lying if I said this wasn’t the hottest thing I’ve ever fucking seen.
I look up to Elijah…I stand corrected. The blood was the second hottest thing, because the look on Elijah’s face right now, a look of pure depravity, is definitely the hottest thing that I have ever laid my eyes on.
“Poetry was created to describe women that look like you.”
Elijah’s words come out rushed and breathless as he runs his eyes over my body, as if he can’t believe he’s seeing me like this. And honestly if you told me 20 minutes ago I’d be bleeding on Elijah’s desk all hot and bothered I’d laugh in your face. But right now all I want is this man between my legs and his lips on mine.
Never thought I’d say those words either.
Elijah takes a step towards me and but stops as he sniffs the air.
“What?”
Fuck right now would be a horrible time to forget deodorant.
“You smell like gasoline,” Elijah says darkly.
“Oh…sorry.”
“Take your shirt off,” He takes a step forward and I notice the dark look he had on his face from before is back.
“Take my…”
“Your shirt. Take it off.”
Elijah’s words come out simple and harsh and without even thinking about it I grab the hem of my night shirt and pull it over my head and toss it behind me.
“Good girl. Now the pants.”
I raise my eyebrows in surprise.
“Excuse me? You do it,” I say bewildered.
Elijah quickly steps forward and within a second he fucking RIPS my sleep short into two leaving my sitting on his desk in my fucking bra and undies.
“Elijah, I meant you take off your pants!”
Elijah leans back and his eyes slowly make their way down my body and oddly enough I don’t feel an ounce of shame. Usually when it comes to my looks and body there's always that voice in the back of my head telling me that I’m too ugly or too much in some places but right now, right here with Elijah I don’t hear that voice. All I can focus on is the man before me who is looking at me like I’m the most beautiful thing he’s ever seen.
“I much prefer you without pants than myself,” Elijah remarks and I use my foot to push him slightly.
We stare at each other for a moment before Elijah gets a gleam in his eye and he leans down to press a soft kiss to my cheek. He then kisses my lips, then my neck, then the valley between my breasts taking the moment to swipe a finger over my blood and painting it across my chest, he then presses that hand onto my chest and pushes me so I’m laying flat on my back, I stare at the ceiling as I continue to feel Elijah plant kisses over my stomach. I feel his hand grab my ankle and I lean up on my elbows to watch as he places a chaste kiss to my inner ankle.
“What are you doing,” I give him a tilt of my head, and a nervous smile.
Elijah smirks and I watch confused until he drops to his knees in front of me.
Oh.
OH!
“Elijah, what are you doing?”
A squeak leaves my mouth as Elijah grabs my thighs and pulls me to the edge of the desk.
Elijah places a kiss to my inner thigh, “I want to show you just a fraction of how you make me feel. Can I?”
Fuck we love a man that asks for consent.
“I’ve never…I mean no one's ever…,” I gesture towards down there hoping he gets the idea and Elijah’s eyes darken.
“I’ve guessed.”
I don’t really take offence to that because I quite literally scream “VIRGIN.”
“You don’t have to,” I shake my head.
Elijah gives me a bewildered look, “Trust me, Elskan. The image of me between your legs is something that has haunted my greatest dreams and nightmares since the moment Rose-Marie brought you to me. This will be more of a gift to me than it will be to you. I give you my word.”
All I do is nod, because HOLY HELL.
“Words Elskan. I need words,” Elijah chastises.
“Yes. Um, yes, please.”
As soon as the words leave my mouth, Elijah’s mouth presses itself to my clothed core.
“Holy shit!”
I throw my head back onto the desk as I feel Elijah swipe his tongue over my core through my now very soaked underwear. I let out a sound I didn’t even know I could release as I feel Elijah’s tongue take one more swipe, starting from my clit to my hole.
I loud snap and a wave of cold air against my cunt makes me realize Elijah just ripped another piece of my clothing. I go to chastise him, but go fucking blank in the mind as I feel Elijah finger run itself through my folds.
“Oh fuck, Elijah,” I breathe out through shallowed breath.
“You’re doing so good, Elskan. Smell so fucking sweet. I bet you taste even sweeter.”
Elijah’s words only make me close my eyes and pray that any of my dead ancestors are not watching this sinful act.
Like he’s been starved his entire fucking life Elijah dives his head into my core and swipes his tongue everywhere.
My eyes roll to the back of my head.
“I was right,” I hear Elijah say to himself, “Just like nectar.”
Elijah doesn’t give me a second to adjust because the next thing I feel is his thick finger enter my throbbing hole.
“So tight, so perfect,” Elijah says as he massages my inside with his finger and-
“OH FUCK!”
Elijah’s finger curls inside me and if every Smutty book I’ve read is true then I’m pretty sure he just hit that spot.
Elijah fucking chuckles! And then dares to enter another finger. I let out a breath of pain at the sudden tightness but release a breath of pleasure as Elijah leans down and begins sucking on my clit.
A tight feeling builds in my lower gut and I feel like I can’t breathe.
“Elijah…I-”
“Let go for me Elskan, I want to see you cum on my fingers.”
Elijah’s nasty mouth, literally, is all I needed to hear before an unbearable wave of pleasure flows through me and I feel my whole body tighten.
“Elijah!”
I throw my head back onto the desk in exhaustion as my lungs fight for breath.
I feel Elijah presses a soft kiss to my center, making me squirm from sensitivity.
“You did so well, My love.”
*End of smut*
I absentmindedly nod as I feel Elijah pick me up bridal style. I open my eyes as Elijah places me carefully on my two shaking feet. He presses a soft kiss to the side of my face before walking over to a white claw foot tub. Oh. We’re in his bathroom.
I watch half naked and kind of self-conscious now as Elijah turns the tub on, and adds soap, making the water bubble up.
“Come,” He reaches out his hand for me to take and I fight the urge to crack a joke at his words. He gives me a look which I’m guessing means he already knew I was going to tell a joke. I take his hand and slowly dip down into the warm water.
A low hiss escapes my mouth as my core touches the water and I feel a sharp pain.
“You might be sore for a little while,” Elijah comments as he comes to sit beside me. He reaches his hand to the latch of my bra and I nod giving him the okay to take it off. As he slides the bra straps down my arms, he places feather like kisses to my shoulder.
“Was I too rough,” His words come out hushes as if he’s afraid of my answer.
I shake my head, “No,” I lean down into the water so the bubbles come up to my upper chest, “You were good.”
Elijah chuckles, “Just good?”
I shrug playfully, “I’d give you a good 7.5.”
Elijah lets out a loud laugh, “Oh really? I must have misheard you because I thought I heard you scream out my name over half a dozen times. My mistake.”
I use a sud-covered hand to shove him.
“How is it that I’m completely naked and you’re still dressed in head to toe Versace?”
Elijah shrugs, “Is that a problem?”
I lean forward and start undoing his buttons, “You could at least lose the button up.”
Elijah smirks but still agrees as he undoes his top leaving him in a wife beater.
Elijah takes a glass from beside him and fills it up with water before pouring it over my hair. I lay back and close my eyes as Elijah makes work with shampooing my hair, his fingers massaging circles into my scalp.
“Feels. So. Good.”
My eyes open briefly as I feel myself being carried again.
I look around confused for a moment before I hear Elijah’s voice.
“Go back to sleep, Elskan. Everything’s alright. I’m right here.”
Hmm.
I like the sound of that.

You sit on the sidelines, one leg crossed over the other as you watched the team practice. Your eyes couldn’t leave one player in specific though…
Rafe Cameron.
You’d wanted him for as long as you could remember, the first time you’d saw him it was over for you. No other man could ever compare to Rafe. He was tall— probably pushing six-foot-three — he had the brightest blue eyes you’d ever seen, perfectly toned body and tanned skin. Perfect, pouty pink lips that had your mind wandering, thinking of how they’d feel between your legs, on your own lips, kissing anywhere on your body he could.
But he’d never even given you a second glance, and you knew you could thank your father for that… Your dad was the head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and Rafe was his precious QB1. Your father had basically threatened all the boys on his team, telling them his ‘baby girl was off limits’ to them. Major buzzkill. But Rafe.. Your dad specifically swore him away from you, and Rafe, being the perfect star player he was, chasing after your dad’s approval more than anything else, listened. And he listened well.
He ignored all of your advances, his eyes catching yours for a brief second before he was rolling those beautiful ocean-blue eyes and walking off. He was always grumpy around you, always pushing you around and making fun of you, but you weren’t sure why. You’d never done anything to him except try and be nice, but he was always, always such a dick to you.
The sound of your dad’s whistle pierces the air, your head snapping up, thoughts clearing as you watched all the players gather in a circle. You tune your dad out again, your eyes landing on Rafe’s back. You squeezed your thighs together when he shifted, his large, veiny arms straining as he held his helmet in one hand, his other hand propped on his hip as he listened to everything your dad had to say.
You quickly stand, sneaking off towards the locker rooms while your dad and the others were distracted. You were going to get Rafe’s attention today. The plan you had in mind was stupid, but you knew you had to figure out where Rafe’s mind was when it came to you. He’d either lash out and prove that his grumpiness toward you was simply because he couldn’t have you due to your father’s wishes, or, he’d roll his eyes and not care at all.
You were hoping it was the former and not the latter in this situation. You wanted Rafe, and if flirting with another player in front of him could get you that, then so be it.
Your hands shook as you stood in the locker room, leaning slightly against Damon Westwood’s locker and waiting. The sound of loud, rowdy voices start filtering into the locker room, and you slightly jump. One by one, players enter the locker room, some freezing and staring at you for a second while others carried on as if you weren’t even there.
Damon enters the locker room last, his dark green eyes landing on you, a small smirk tilting his lips as he slowly makes his way to his locker. Rafe never came in here.
“And are you trying to get me killed by your dad?” Damon jokes, dropping onto the bench in front of the lockers and removing his practice cleats.
You smile, placing a hand on his shoulder. Your eyes flit up to the locker room entrance, silently praying Rafe would walk in.
“I’m twenty-three, Westwood, my dad can’t tell me who I can and can’t see.”
Damon laughs, pulling his practice jersey over his head and dropping it on the bench before standing. He towers you in height, but he doesn’t compare to Rafe. Damon isn’t bad looking, he had a nice body, pretty eyes and his voice was sexy, but again, he wasn’t Rafe Cameron.
He opens his locker, grabbing a workout bag from inside and dropping it onto the bench next. A commotion near the entrance catches your attention, a few of the players walking up to Rafe and doing those man handshake things with him before patting his shoulders and praising him for the good practice they’d had. His eyes slowly drag up, landing on yours.
You hold eye contact with Rafe, not even hearing a thing Damon says to you. You step forward, placing a hand on his sweaty chest while laughing. Damon looks down at you, his green eyes darkening over, but you don’t hold his eyes for long, looking back up to find Rafe staring. His fists are fisted by his sides, nostrils flaring and his jaw tight.
Damon opens his mouth to say something more but Rafe is storming over, gripping his shoulders and slamming him into the locker. You gasp, jumping back from Damon as you watch Rafe pull the other man back from the locker, slamming him into it again and again. He lifts a fisted hand, pulling back and slamming it into Damon’s nose.
“Oh fuck! What the hell, Cameron?” Damon cries out, holding a hand to his nose that’s pouring blood.
Rafe doesn’t speak, he’s breathing heavily, hands shaking as he glares between you and Damon. Another player walks up to the three of you, holding a hand out for Damon to grab and pulling him up off the ground.
“Rafe… What the hell was that?” Blake asks, helping a very out of it Damon sit on the bench.
Rafe grumbles something under his breath, and everyone looks at him, eyes wide in concern. Rafe finally lifts his gaze, cold, ice blue eyes on you before he looks at Damon. He leans forward, gripping the man’s face in his hands and says, “I don’t ever want to see you fucking touching her again. Do you understand me?”
Damon laughs, and Rafe tenses. Your mind is whirring at what you’ve done. You’d wanted Rafe to lash out, to show that he did want you like you did him, but you didn’t expect this.
“And what the fuck is so funny about what I just said Westwood?”
Damon lifts his head, blood covering his nose, mouth and chin as he glares at Rafe. “What’s funny is you thinking you have any sort of fucking claim on her. Coach doesn’t want any of us fucking with his ‘baby girl’ but he’d kill you, Cameron. And you fucking know it.”
Rafe lets out an annoyed laugh, his eyes darkening by the second. “You don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about, so I suggest you shut the fuck up before I beat your goddamn ass. You know I can too.”
Damon mumbles more incoherent words under his breath, Blake grabbing his arm and lifting him off the bench, saying something about taking him to the team doctor and disappearing. Rafe’s angry gaze finds you, his nostrils still flaring as he holds your eyes. You open your mouth to speak but Rafe holds up a hand, “Just.. Get the fuck out of here before your dad finds you in here. He’ll make us all run fucking suicides tomorrow and I’m really not in the mood to run until I puke.”
You frown, but nod your head and push past him. Tears fill your eyes as you make your way out of the locker room, rushing back to the practice bench and grabbing your stuff before rushing to your car. Once you’re inside the safety of your car, your hands grip the steering wheel, your eyes burning from unshed tears and squeezed shut. Flashes of Rafe slamming Damon into his locker over and over again fill your mind. You’d hoped Rafe would get jealous, prove that he was into you, but you didn’t expect…that.
Shaking away the memories of what just took place, you start your car and pull out of the parking lot, speeding to your apartment. You needed to get drunk and forget this day ever happened.
A few hours later, your mind is buzzing from the two bottles of wine you’d consumed. You couldn’t stop thinking about how angry Rafe had gotten. Why did he attack Damon like that? He broke his nose, slammed him into a locker over and over again. Would he have taken it further had Blake not stepped in to stop him?
Your thoughts are interrupted by a hard knocking on your front door. Your brows furrow as you look at the time on your phone,— 10:30pm — who would be here this late? You uncross your legs, sitting your empty wine glass on the table and make your way to the door. Not even bothering to look through the peephole, you unlock your door and swing it open, gasping when you find Rafe, his face and hands covered in blood, an unconscious Damon Westwood being held up by Rafe by the collar of his shirt.
“Rafe what the hell?!” you shout, eyes wide.
Rafe smirks, shoving Damon past the threshold of your door, his unconscious, bloody body smacking your tile floors with a loud thwack. Rafe pushes inside next, shutting your door softly and locking it behind him. You take a step backwards, nearly tripping over Damon’s body in the process. Is he even breathing? You’ll need to check on that after you figure out what the fuck Rafe is doing here, and why he has Damon.
You continue to back up, Rafe matching your steps with his own until you’re backed into your kitchen counter. Your hands are shaking, breath stuck in your throat as you keep your eyes on Rafe who now has you pressed into your counter.
He lifts a bloody hand, running it across your face, smearing the blood on your skin. He smirks down at you, his normally bright blue eyes dark and void of any emotion. “I decided Damon couldn’t get off easy for touching what belongs to me.”
You scoff, knocking his hand back. “I don’t belong to you, Rafe. You made that very clear when you treated me like shit every day since you met me.”
Rafe chuckles, the sound low and deep, vibrating against your chest and sending waves of arousal rushing straight to your pussy. You should be terrified right now, but you’re not. Instead, you’re very turned on.
“Oh but you do belong to me, sweetheart. You just don’t know it yet, but I’m about to show you just how mine you really fucking are.”
Before you can even respond Rafe has a hand wrapped around your throat, squeezing so tightly your lungs begin to burn, your body thrashing and fighting against his hold. You wrap your hands around his wrist, scratching and trying to fight him off but it’s no use. Rafe is fucking strong.
He uses his grip on your throat to yank you off the counter, spinning you around and walking the two of you toward where Damon lie unconscious and bleeding out in your floor. He tosses you backwards, landing on your ass with an ‘oomph’. You’re inches away from Damon’s body on your floor and your heart rate ratchets up in your chest, threatening to burst from your rib cage.
Rafe drops to his knees before you, gripping your ankle and pulling you towards him. You fall onto your back, chest heaving with every breath as your mind whirls. There’s no way this is happening, it’s all a sick and twisted dream. You drank two bottles of wine by yourself in a two hour span, this is all jusy a drea—
Your thoughts are cut short when Rafe rips your shirt open, buttons popping off and flying onto the floor around you. A low growl rumbles in his chest when his eyes land on your bare chest, nipples hard from the cool air of your apartment hitting them.
“Fucking perfect.” Rafe growls, swiping his hand through the blood on the floor before swiping them across your chest, painting your breasts with Damon’s blood.
Your clit pulses, eyes wide and lips slightly parted as you watch Rafe, his darkened over eyes drinking in every inch of your chest and stomach. He closes the distance between the two of you, dipping his head down so his lips are close to your chest. The warmth of his breath against your skin has you whimpering, propping yourself up on your elbows and watching him intently.
Rafe’s head dips lower, his tongue darting out and flicking across one of your hardened nipples. He groans, sucking the pebbled bud into his mouth, teeth nipping at it before he releases you and quickly works his sweatpants off.
When Rafe’s hard cock springs free from his boxers your eyes widen. Rafe smirks at your unease, gripping himself in one hand and slowly stroking. “Scared?” He asks lowly.
You swallow around the knot in your throat, shaking your head, eyes flitting between Rafe’s own intense stare and down to his hand tightly gripping his cock, giving himself slow and languid strokes.
Rafe releases his cock, quickly tugging your silk pajama pants down your legs and tossing them across the room. “On your stomach.” He demands, and you quickly obey.
Once in the new position, Rafe’s hands snake under your hips, lifting them up off the ground so your ass is in the air. He grips his thick dick in his hand again, slowly stroking as he lines his fat tip with your soaked entrance. He slowly pushes the tip inside, leaning his body over your back, his lips pressed against your ear. The words he whispers in your ear sends a shiver down your spine, “You’ve always been mine, always. Now it’s time I fucking show you how mine you truly are.”
You gasp loudly when he shoves his thick length inside you, bottoming out instantly. The stretch and burn of your pussy has tears welling behind your eyes, your teeth gritting so hard you’re afraid they might crack. Rafe slowly pulls out to the tip, slamming his hips forward again, the head of his fat cock slamming against your sweet spot. You cry out for him, pussy clenching around his length as your nails scratch against your tile floors.
Damon groans, his body slightly shifting before he falls back out again. A tear slips past your cheek, a choked sob mixed with a moan slipping past your lips. Rafe’s hand fists in your hair, yanking your head up off the floor. He pulls your back flush against his front, his head falling to rest in the crook of your neck. He breathes in your scent, his hips slowly moving as his cock slides slowly in and out of your wet pussy.
“I had to teach him a lesson, baby. He was too close to what belongs to me… Now you see,” He pauses, groaning as your pussy clenches around him at his possessive words. “Fuck… Now you see, I’ll do anything, to anyone, to show that you’re mine. Off limits. My goddamn person.”
You moan his name loudly, gripping his arm that’s snaked around your waist. Your nails dig into his skin as warmth coils around the base of your spine and in your lower belly. Rafe slides his hand down your stomach, his fingers finding your clit and rubbing harsh circles around it. The hand in your hair tightens, Rafe’s hips picking up in speed, brutally fucking into you from behind.
Your pussy tightens around Rafe, screaming out his name as Damon’s eyes slide open in a daze. His heavy eyes find you, and you give him a sympathetic look but it quickly vanishes as you come undone, soaking Rafe’s cock.
Rafe chuckles darkly, his teeth sinking into your shoulder as his dick swells and pulses inside you. His dark blue eyes find Damon on the floor, a smile tilting his lips as he says, “Told you she fucking belonged to me, Westwood. This tight cunt just came all over my cock, and I’m about to fill it with my cum.”
True to his word, Rafe grunts against your neck, whispered curses slipping from his lips as his dick twitches. He pushes in deep one final time, holding himself there as he cums inside you in slow spurts.
The two of you come down from your highs, panting and breathing each other in. Damon still lay on the floor, confused and slightly in and out of consciousness. Rafe grips your throat, twisting your neck so you’re facing him before he kisses you hard. You moan against his lips, feeling dazed from everything that’s happened today.
Rafe slowly slides out of you, standing and putting his sweats back on before helping you get redressed— giving you his hoodie since he’d ripped your shirt open. He helps you into your room, tucking you in bed before kissing you again, softly this time.
“What’re you gonna do about Damon? You could get into trouble, Rafe.” You say, voice laced with concern.
Rafe stands beside your bed, a smile on his face. “Don’t worry about Westwood, he’ll survive and won’t remember this night, promise.”
You yawn, sinking into your bed as your eyes flutter, but one more thought has them springing open, finding Rafe halfway out your bedroom door.
“And my dad? He won’t like us together..”
Rafe stops in your doorway, turning to face you again. His eyes are dark, a terrifying smile on his face. “Don’t worry about him, baby. I told you, you’re mine. I got it all handled. No one, that includes your father, will come between us.” He walks toward you again, leaning down and kissing the top of your head. “Now get some sleep, I’ll be back in a few hours.”
Then he turns and walks out, your bedroom door shutting with a soft click. Rafe’s words should terrify you, but they don’t. You’d waited so long to have him want you back, and you believed him when he said he had it all handled. Your eyes flutter closed, sleep consuming you, the last thing on your mind being Rafe and what exactly he has planned to make it so the two of you can be together without consequences.

Could I request something Rhaenyra x Stark!reader smut with them being feral codependent soulmates? I love that trope. They would totally be unhinged and in love wives together plus the fire and ice parallels 😭 Like after Laenor “dies”, Rhaenyra’s goes looking for a new spouse and runs into Stark!reader and it’s just love/obsession at first sight?
MY QUEEN IS CRUEL
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing: Rhaenyra Targaryen x fem!Stark!reader
Summary: your family comes from Winterfell to the capital at the invitation of the Targaryen family. Princess Rhaenyra announced that she would choose a new spouse. Your brother was a contender from the House of Stark, but it seems to the princess that another contender from the rulers of the north is more interesting.
Warnings: NSFW 18+, soulmates dynamic, mentions of blood and alcohol, innocent reader, virginity loss, oral, fingering
Word count: 3.1k
AN: omg my first House of the Dragon fic, I hope I translated some titles and names correctly. Thanks for the request, it took me so long to write this, but I love Rhaenyra so much 💕
Tumblr media
Rhaenys's bitter, heartbreaking cry is heard in the silence of the room. The woman looks at the burnt body that just a few minutes ago was her son. “Who allowed this?! Why wasn’t anyone around?!” Corlys embraces his wife in rage and grief. That day, sadness became the main companion of the grieving parents.
No one knows that on the shore, the one who is now considered dead is running towards the boat. Laenor Velaryon sails away to disappear forever from this life in which he was imprisoned. Rhaenyra gave him a chance at happiness and Laenor will not forget this.
Tumblr media
Rhaenyra Targaryen is officially recognized as a widow. It is expected that rumors about the death of the princess's husband began to spread like a plague, from servants to other servants, and those to their families, from there the plague was transmitted to all seven kingdoms. Some believed in the official story, others, like the grieving mother, blamed the Targaryen family for everything, they said that the princess ordered the murder, that she was tired of her husband. But for Rhaenyra it was enough to know that this was absurdity and slander.
“So what are you going to do next?” Daemon approached unnoticed. Rhaenyra didn’t look at him, her gaze was directed far out to sea. "I think I'm looking for a new spouse." Damon thought the hint was crystal clear. He thought that she still wanted him, wanted to finish what they started that night all those years ago. “Rhaenyra...” He was interrupted, “No uncle, leave it alone. Kiss me and let me go. If you do not...” A ringing silence hung between them. The phrase did not need to be continued; he already understood it.
Tumblr media
King's Landing was filled with lords, princes and princesses from all over Westeros. The royal family invited all the noble houses, announcing that the heir to the iron throne would thus choose a new life partner.
“I don’t understand why you took me with you.” Your carriage was approaching to the King's Landing. Your parents were, as always, calm and cool, as befits the Starks, the rulers of the north. Your younger brother looked around the windows excitedly, clearly excited about his first trip outside of Winterfell. “Your mother and I think that you also need to see the capital.” Your father, as always, spoke directly and to the point. You smiled bitterly. “Only we’re here to try to marry Rob to this pompous princess.” You didn’t hide your bias towards this whole thing, which was more like an auction. “Y/N just try to say something like that about the princess in public and you will disgrace the entire House of Starks.”
For the rest of the trip you rode in silence, only occasionally fiddling with the hilt of the sword hidden in a sheath under your heavy black coat. Perhaps you had a little curiosity about the princess. What does the one who will take the iron throne look like, against whom there was so much outrage just because she was a woman. You thought that she must be strong and stubborn just like her ancestors. The same as the previously lived Visenya about whom you once read.
The carriage stopped.
Tumblr media
“Do I have to wear this? How will I take my sword with me?” Your mother stood in the chambers that had kindly been allocated to you and watched as a maid helped you lace up a black dress with antique long sleeves. “You don't need the sword today, honey. This is a royal ball and you are not a knight in service." You looked in the mirror, and even though dresses weren't something you wore often, it didn't look bad at all for your taste. Still, the velvet in tandem with the large fur coat that you took from Winterfell looked harmonious.
“But what if something goes wrong and I’m left without a weapon?” You insisted. After so many years of training, the sword became an extension of you, and going out without it was akin to death. "The Royal Guard will protect us all." Your mother tried to be gentle and calm your worries. The woman came up behind you and put her hands on your shoulders. “For just one evening, be a princess and not a rude warrior. For me." You covered her hands. "Okay, just for you."
Tumblr media
All arriving guests entered the huge hall in turn, after which they were seated at long tables, which were bursting with an abundance of dishes kindly offered by the royal family. “The Starks of Winterfell,” the man shouted and your family entered the hall. You followed your parents straight to the table in the center, at which the Targaryen couple was already sitting with the king and that famous Princess Rhaenyra at their head. Finally, you were close enough that you could see a woman with dazzling white hair and sharp purple eyes. Your breath caught somewhere in the depths and you couldn’t look away. It seems at this moment the ice and skepticism inside you broke, burst into a thousand pieces. You had to lower your head according to the rules of etiquette, but you couldn’t tear yourself away from contemplation. And when she finally looked at you, when your eyes met, you realized that you had problems. “Your Grace, this is our son Rob and eldest daughter Y/N.” Your father, as the head of the family, introduced his children and added, “I hope that Rob can claim the place of your husband Princess Rhaenyra.”
At these words, you remembered why you were here and a little jealousy pricked somewhere in your chest. You were almost jealous of your brother. But who are you to be jealous, because you just met. This is all becoming too strange, but so tempting. You sat down and the evening began.
Wines of different varieties continually filled the glasses of rich gentlemen, everyone laughed, joked and discussed who the heiress would choose as her husband. The Lannisters were sitting next to you and you could hear snatches of greasy jokes about how their eldest son could have Rhaenyra in all poses. Anger boiled inside you, how could this bastard say such things about this woman. “And they also say that her sons are bastards, and she is a whore.” The loud laughter of the Lannisters infuriated you even more. “Then your house is no better for having sworn allegiance to a whore.” You thought you said it quietly, but they apparently heard you.
“I didn’t hear what the pup from Winterfell was barking just now?” Everyone who was at your table fell silent and the whole room also paid attention to this. “I said what I meant.” The man was already deeply drunk and clearly in the mood for a fight. He stood up and you stood up next, you were the same height. “If you are so brave, then say out loud what you think of the princess.” Rhaenyra's purple eyes watched your quarrel carefully, it would be a lie to say that she did not look at you all evening, knowing that all the men in this room would be denied. She definitely liked your spark and wanted to see what happened next.
“I said that her sons are bastards, and she is a whore.” The man said the last word slowly, syllable by syllable, everyone present was in suspense. King Viserys took out his favorite blade. "I'll cut out your filthy tongue." As soon as he finished the phrase, a knife, prudently hidden under a fur coat, appeared in your hand and pinned Lannister’s palm to the table. He tried to get it. “There are a lot of vital veins in this part of the arm; if you try to pull it out, you will bleed to death.” The white cloaks immediately drew their swords and stood ready. Rhaenyra's entire being was hypnotized in delight by your actions and words, at that moment she chose her spouse. The entire Lannister family stood up and was ready to tear you apart.
"Get them out." For the first time that evening, Rhaenyra's voice broke the silence of the event. The bastard's face lit up with a smile. “My princess, thank you...” But before he could finish speaking, the guards twisted his hands, pulling the knife out of his palm, causing the man to let out a bitter scream. The entire Lannister family was disgracedly eliminated from the feast; there was silence for several more minutes, only whispers were heard from different sides.
"What are you doing." Your father pulled you by the arm, urging you to sit down, and glared at you with eyes full of rage. “Your mother asked you not to take weapons with you.” “She asked not to take the sword, dear father.” Rhaenyra stood up. “Today, to our great regret, unpleasant and unacceptable events occurred for the royal court.” She paused, her gaze returning to you and a smile gracing her lips. “But let’s not let these events overshadow our holiday, let’s raise our glasses and have a feast.” The crowd cheered and raised their glasses as they praised Princess Rhaenyra's wisdom and resilience. The celebration continued until late at night, you drank several glasses of wine after the incident and by the end you were decently drunk.
All evening you kept looking at Rhaenyra, your head was filled with thoughts about how beautiful and wise she is, about how wrong you were, how you regret that you didn’t want to go to the capital. But then these euphoric thoughts were darkened by the fact of her imminent marriage to one of the men of these noble houses and perhaps even to your brother.
You headed to your chambers, every now and then passing by local servants. Your legs dragged you heavily, your mind only thought about taking a warm bath and washing away inappropriate thoughts about the heiress. The heavy door opened with a slight creak, letting you into the semi-darkness of the room. You thought that you asked the servants to extinguish all the candles, but for some reason they were burning. Your gaze caught on an unfamiliar figure standing with his back to you, and the knife that had recently been in the Lannister’s bastard was again in your hand, waiting to defend yourself from intruders.
"You're a little warrior aren't you?" A velvety voice broke the silence and the stranger turned to face you. You immediately lowered the knife. “Your Grace, forgive me, I didn’t know it was you.” You immediately bent your knee in front of her. You were absolutely at a loss and the whole situation was a little confusing, why was the princess, the heir to the throne, waiting for you in your chambers in the middle of the night? “No need for formalities, please stand up.”
She walked through your chambers looking at some of your personal belongings until she found the sword. “Oh, this is your main weapon, as I understand it, you don’t to swing a knife every time of course ...” she bent down to take a closer look at the sparkling silver blade. “Such a beautiful thing, to match the owner.” Her compliment made your already red cheeks flush. “Did you want to talk about what happened, Your Grace?” you desperately wanted to change the topic.
“Did your mother ever tell you the legend of soulmates?” You were dumbfounded by her question. “Your Grace, I don’t quite understand...” She continued to walk around the room. “Don’t they really tell such stories in the north?” Her tone sounded fakely upset. “They say I know one.” “Then tell me too.”
You didn’t understand anything, Rhaenyra Targaryen came to you at night to listen to fairy tales for children? Perhaps something was put in the wine and now you were hallucinating, but it seemed like everything looked real. The woman lit the fireplace and, unbecoming for a future queen, sat down on the soft fur in front of the fire. She looked up at you, inviting you to sit next to her, you obeyed. The crackling of logs, the heat of the fire and the soft floral perfume of Rhaenyra lulled to sleep.
“My mother... told me when I was a child that there was a belief...” you cleaned the throat. “That every person has their own soulmate, but not everyone is able to find it, it’s like a person who was created by the seven gods just for you.” Rhaenyra began to unravel her tight braid; her head began to hurt unpleasantly from her hairstyle. You watched out of the corner of your eye as her snow-white strands gradually fell onto her shoulders. “And how do you understand who exactly your person is?” She encouraged you to continue. “I don’t remember exactly, but they said that when you see him or her, you will immediately understand, just the first glance or the first meeting and…boom.” "Boom?" She asked again, not quite understanding your strange wording. "Yes." You were looking at the burning logs when Rhaenyra's hand covered yours. She has already unbraided her hair. “Do you want to brush them?” Something strange was clearly happening. But who are you to refuse, you nodded and took the wooden comb brought from Winterfell from the nightstand. Hands carefully took strands of silver hair and combed them, as if they would break from the wrong movement.
“Do you believe in this legends?” You thought for a second. “I’m not sure, or rather I didn’t believe it before, but now these fairy tales don’t seem so stupid to me.” You put comb down, combing all hair perfectly. “I don’t understand why these questions are asked, Your Grace.” Your head was a complete mess due to the mixture of alcohol and adrenaline caused by the woman next to you. “Please call me Rhaenyra.” She turned to face you. “You understand everything, little warrior, don’t lie to me.” The woman moved closer and closer until she placed one hand on your shoulder. "Your Grace...Rhaenira." She leaned in so close that her lips were almost touching yours. "I want you." You looked into bright purple eyes, which shone yellow in the firelight. “Tell me the wolf of Winterfell, do you want me?” Her perfume smelled so delicious, her soft skin, white as her hair, that the dress did not hide, begged to be touched, “I...yes please, I want you.”
Rhaenyra's lips touched yours, sharing the sweetness of the recently drunk wine. One of the woman's hands grabbed the collar of your velvet dress and began to pull it down your shoulders to free your soft breasts. She carefully laid you on your back, on the soft fur, holding the back of your head. Her lips moved to her neck, then to her shoulder and then wrapped around her pink nipple. The action caused you to place your hand on her head, stroking her silver hair. The princess's hands lifted the skirt of the dress to the waist and stroked the skin of your soft thighs. "Cute little thing." She giggled and touched your lips again. The kiss was untidy, but full of tenderness and desire. Rhaenyra relieved you of underwear, her fingers slipped inside without a barrier, you were completely wet, just for her, but then she remembered. “Is this your first time?” She stopped any action, waiting in horror for an answer. "Yes, my grace." Rhaenyra buried her nose in the crook of your neck and began to kiss you, whispering, “I’m sorry, I should have asked earlier.” Your hand rested on hers that was still between your legs. “Please continue, I want this more than anything.”
And she continued, gently pounding and curling her fingers to hit that sensitive spot inside that made you see stars and whine like a pup. "Rhaenyra, Rhaenyra, oh please my grace." Your hand touched the sensitive bud for additional stimulation. “Oh fuck, fuck...I'm gonna...” “Cum for me, cum for your queen.” Her movements became faster and clearer until you came, squeezing around her long fingers, biting your hand so as not to scream from the new sensations that she was giving you. She pulled out and showed you her hand, which sparkled in the firelight from your release, and then licked every last drop, causing your eyes to darken.
When you came to your senses, you stood up, only to strip completely and push Rhaenyra towards the bed, urging you to sit on it. "Please let me return the favor." You knelt in front of her, lifting the skirt of her dress up to expose her stockinged legs. Your lips kissed every centimeter of skin, no one worshiped it like you. When your mouth reaches her pussy, you notice that her arousal has left a wet mark on the bed linen. The tongue draws a line along the entire length, collecting her arousal, and the woman moans, lowering her hand to stroke your cheek. “My little savior, tell me, would you have killed him if I had not intervened?” You kiss her palm. "Yes my grace." And you hug her sensitive bud with your lips, simultaneously pushing three fingers inside, immediately picking up a fast pace. "Oh Gods!" She moans and screams without being embarrassed to be heard, the way you stretch her drives the woman crazy. “Fuck, that’s it!” and “Yeah right there, that’s my good girl.” You fuck her, trying to please your queen as best as possible and feel how she clench around your fingers. “Fuck fuck Y/N!” She cums, for a long time, and you fuck her through orgasm until she whines from overstimulation, asking her to stop.
You move onto the bed and lie on top of her again, kissing her. “I didn’t believe in soulmates until I saw you.” She hugs you, covering your naked body. You lie there, again inhaling the aroma of her perfume and not believing in the reality of what happened. “I would like to believe that it’s true,” she replies and you think.
“Have you already chosen someone to be your spouse?” You say this quietly, in a whisper. It was at this moment that you remembered why your family came here in the first place and how you may have acted meanly towards your brother. She laughs and you don't understand. "Yes, I chose you."
You lift your head sharply, looking into those purple eyes to see if she's deceiving you. “But...what if people are against it, what will you do?”
She thought about it, she knew that there would be dissatisfied people. “Then I will personally give Syrax the command to burn to the ground anyone who questions my choice.”

Bet (Klaus Mikaelson x M! Reader)
Summary: Thanks to your brothers, all you knew about the Mikaelson family was that they were dangerous and threatened your livelihood. However, when you're saved by the hybrid himself, he poses a bet to change your mind or be given insight into the cure.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
You paced the old parlor of the Salvatore boarding house, frustration bubbling inside you like an unwelcome storm. Damon had been shouting in your ear again, his usual rant about the Mikaelsons’ supposed evil nature still echoing off the walls. He was adamant: the Originals were nothing but a death sentence waiting to happen, and you needed to steer clear of them.
Stefan, meanwhile, had taken his usual route, trying to appeal to your emotional side. He claimed your search for the cure was pointless, a dangerous fantasy you needed to abandon. His eyes had softened, his voice dropping to that earnest tone he reserved for when he was about to say something ‘profound.’
“It’s over,” he’d said. “What we did centuries ago, what happened to you…it was for the best. We’re a family now.”
You'd barely managed to stifle your scoff. A family, he said. Easy for him to preach about family when he and Damon had been content to let Katherine turn them. You, on the other hand, had been set to marry Emily, a kind-hearted girl from town. All that was ripped away when your brothers decided to drag you into their mess, condemning you to an eternity you never asked for. You had lost everything. You hadn't chosen this life; it had been forced upon you.
“Look, little brother,” Damon had warned earlier that night, his eyes darkening as they flickered to yours, a flash of genuine concern slipping past his usual bravado. “Stay away from Klaus. He’s not the kind of enemy you can afford to make.”
“Damon, I’m not stupid,” you’d retorted, rolling your eyes in exasperation. “I just want the cure. If Klaus has any knowledge of it, I’m not going to let your paranoid warnings stop me.”
And that was why you found yourself in the woods outside Mystic Falls, pursuing the rumor that Klaus was near. Your heart pounded, a mix of anger and hope driving you forward. That hope turned into a nightmare when one of Katherine's minions appeared out of nowhere, tackling you to the ground. The stake in his hand glinted in the sunlight, aiming straight for your heart.
You struggled, trying to push him off, but he was relentless. Just as you braced for the end, there was a blur of motion, and your assailant was suddenly torn away. You gasped, scrambling to your feet as you saw Klaus standing over the broken body of your attacker. His eyes were cold, yet his posture was relaxed, almost as if saving you had been a minor inconvenience.
"You—" your voice came out rough, disbelief dripping from every word, "you saved me?"
Klaus tilted his head, eyes dancing with amusement. "Don't sound so surprised, love. Surely you didn't think I'd let Katherine have all the fun."
Your pulse hammered in your chest, more out of confusion than fear. Klaus, of all people? The monster your brothers had warned you about? The hybrid who supposedly wanted nothing more than to tear the Salvatores apart? You glared at him, trying to ignore the nagging questions in your mind.
"Why?" you demanded, pushing yourself to stand straight despite the throbbing pain in your side. "Why would you help me?"
Klaus stepped closer, his eyes locking onto yours with a piercing intensity. "Because," he said softly, his voice dangerous and smooth, "I have plans for you."
You tensed, instincts flaring again, but something in his gaze held you captive. There was a softness, a flicker of something deeper beneath the cold exterior. "Plans?" you repeated, the word bitter on your tongue. "Like what, adding me to your collection of enemies? Using me against my brothers?"
He laughed, a low, rumbling sound that sent a shiver up your spine. "So much suspicion. Your brothers really have done a number on you, haven’t they?" He took another step closer, his presence commanding and overwhelming. "But I assure you, my intentions are far more…personal."
Your stomach twisted in knots, both from his words and the weight of your brothers' warnings ringing in your ears. Klaus Mikaelson is a monster. He’s dangerous. Don’t ever trust him.
But here he was. Standing before you, having just saved your life.
"You expect me to believe that?" you asked, your voice harsher than you intended. "That you’re just here to help out of the goodness of your heart?"
Klaus smiled, his lips curling with dark amusement. "No, I expect you to listen. I know what you’ve been searching for—the cure." You froze. He knew. Of course, he knew. Klaus always seemed to know everything. But this was different—this was something you had kept close, something personal, driven by a desperation to reclaim your humanity.
Your mouth went dry. "What do you know about it?" you asked, voice barely above a whisper.
"I know more than you think," Klaus replied smoothly, his eyes gleaming. "But that’s not something I’ll simply give away."
Of course, there was always a catch. You crossed your arms, defensive. "What do you want from me?"
"Simple," Klaus said, taking a final step until he was just inches from you, his voice low and measured. "Spend time with me. Get to know me and my family. Let me show you that we’re not the monsters your brothers make us out to be. If, after that, you still believe we’re nothing but dangerous beasts, I’ll tell you everything I know about the cure."
You scoffed. "So, what—this is some kind of bet?"
Klaus's smile turned predatory. "Call it a wager, if you prefer. If I can’t change your mind, you get what you want. But if I do…" His gaze flickered over you, something unreadable in his eyes. "Then you’ll owe me."
"That’s it? You’re not going to force me into anything?" You raised an eyebrow, your suspicion still very much alive.
Klaus chuckled darkly. "I don’t need to force anyone into anything, love. I think, deep down, you're already curious."
His confidence rattled you. But beneath the fear and doubt, there was a flicker of something else. A sense of intrigue. Curiosity. After all, hadn't you already begun questioning your brothers' stories? You hadn’t expected Klaus to be anything other than a brutal monster—and yet, here he was, offering you a chance.
After a moment, you sighed. "Fine, I’ll take your bet. But don’t expect this to be easy."
"I wouldn’t have it any other way."
What began as a begrudging agreement quickly spiraled into something far more complex. Klaus introduced you to his family, and to your surprise, they were far more than heartless killing machines.
Elijah’s calm, noble demeanor immediately stood out. He was nothing like the vicious killer you’d imagined. And Rebekah—though quick-tempered and prone to impulsiveness—had a genuine vulnerability that reminded you of Stefan in a strange way. They weren’t monsters; they were people. Complicated, dangerous people, yes, but not the soulless creatures Damon had described.
Klaus...Klaus was the most perplexing of all.
He was still terrifying, no doubt about it—his temper as quick as ever, a constant reminder of the danger lurking beneath his every move. Klaus’s control over any situation was absolute, as though the world bent to his will, daring not to defy him. And yet, there was something about him that gnawed at the edges of the image your brothers had painted.
It started subtly, at first. His gaze would linger on you a fraction too long, his eyes softening for a moment before the familiar steely mask snapped back into place. In those rare, unguarded moments, you felt something shift—a crack in his unyielding façade, a glimpse of the man he might have been before centuries of betrayal hardened him into the creature he had become.
And then there were the nights when you found yourself alone with him, often under the most unexpected circumstances. Once, after a particularly brutal fight with Damon, you returned to the mansion bruised and exhausted. You had expected Klaus to gloat or mock your weakness, but instead, he was there, his presence both commanding and unexpectedly gentle.
You stumbled into the grand foyer, wincing with every step as pain radiated through your battered body. Klaus emerged from the shadows, his eyes sharp with concern. Without a word, he guided you to a nearby settee, his hands surprisingly gentle as he helped you settle.
"You should be more careful," Klaus murmured, his voice low and almost tender. He knelt beside you, his fingers brushing lightly over the bruise on your bottom lip. His touch was meticulous, almost reverent, and the contrast between his harsh exterior and this tender care was jarring.
You met his gaze, searching for the ruthless hybrid you’d come to know. Instead, you saw a flicker of something softer, an emotion you couldn’t quite place. “I don’t understand you,” you said, wincing as your words caused the sore area of your lip to tighten. “Why keep me around if this is all a bet? Why show yourself like this if I’m to be a pawn in your game? Don’t deny it, I heard my brothers speaking about how you plan to use Elena to get rid of your curse.”
Klaus’s expression hardened for a moment, the mask of his usual confidence slipping just enough to reveal the hurt beneath. He took a deep breath, his gaze intense as he met your eyes. “You think of me as nothing more than a manipulator, but there’s more to this than you realize.” Standing up, you watched as Klaus turned his back to you, in an attempt to hide his weaknesses.
“I didn’t plan for this to be a game,” he said quietly, his voice carrying a trace of regret. “My initial interest in you was strategic, but it evolved into something far more complicated. Yes, I need Elena to break the curse, but that doesn’t mean my feelings for you are any less real.”
“I don’t know what to believe,” you admitted, your voice trembling slightly. “Your actions are so contradictory. One moment, you’re this ruthless hybrid, and the next, you’re kind. I can’t make sense of it.”
“I understand your confusion. It’s easier for people to see me as a monster because it suits their narrative. But the truth is rarely that clear." You wanted to look at Klaus, so with much bravery, you stood up from the settee and walked toward him. His back tensed, yet you stood in front of him, his blue eyes darkened with a mixture of frustration and sadness.
"They call me a monster, a villain. And maybe I am those things. But I’m more than that. I’m someone who cares about the people I choose to let in." His hand hesitantly went to your cheek, and you couldn't help but lean into the touch.
"And you’ve…chosen me?" you asked, your voice barely above a whisper.
A ghost of a smile touched Klaus’s lips. "Against my better judgment, yes. You’re unlike anyone I’ve ever met, and I’ve lived a long time."
The intensity in his eyes made your heart pound. You wanted to hate him, wanted to cling to the stories your brothers had fed you, but something had shifted. He wasn’t just some ancient monster; he was a man with desires, hopes, and wounds he kept hidden beneath layers of cold indifference.
"Then tell me," you challenged "Tell me the truth. Is there really a cure, or was this just some elaborate game to win me over?"
Klaus’s gaze darkened with an intensity that spoke of deep emotions. He took a moment, the silence stretching between you as if he was weighing his words carefully. “There is a cure,” he confessed, his voice grave and earnest. “And if you still want it, I’ll help you find it.”
You searched his eyes, looking for any hint of deception, but all you saw was an unfiltered sincerity that was both unsettling and reassuring. “And if I take it?” you asked, your voice barely above a whisper. “What then?”
Klaus’s expression grew somber, the lines on his face deepening with the weight of his emotions. “If you take it, you’ll be walking away from your brothers, this life…from me.”
The pain in his voice was palpable, but he didn’t try to mask it or push you towards any decision. There was no manipulation, no hidden agenda. It was a raw, honest confession from someone who had been playing a complex game but now laid his cards on the table.
You were taken aback by the contrast. If this had been Damon or Stefan, they would have tried to convince you to stay, to forget about the cure and remain by their side. They would have manipulated your feelings, used every trick they had to make you change your mind. But Klaus—Klaus was offering you the choice without trying to sway you. He was hurt, yes, but his respect for your autonomy was genuine.
“I… didn’t expect you to be so honest,” you said, your voice trembling slightly. “You’re willing to let me go, even if it means losing me?”
Klaus nodded slowly, his eyes never leaving yours. “I am. Because I understand what it means to desire something with every part of your being and to be willing to make sacrifices to achieve it. If the cure is what you truly want, then I will help you find it, even if it means saying goodbye.”

Information, of all things of value in this world, is most precious. Katherine had learned that the hardest of ways.
She had been trying to keep tabs on everyone, especially the Salvatore brothers, who were the cause of her most recent headaches. Dwelling on the irony of that made her skin itch, considering the amount of time she had spent causing them grief.
She was sipping on a glass of bourbon, trying not to think about how her plans were crumbling. She hoped to charm Elijah, get him to protect her like he did last time.
But when he found her, he wasn't the same. He didn't have the same softness about him, the gentleness in his eyes. He was harder, angrier, more ruthless. She supposed that was her fault, she wondered how her life would have turned out had she trusted him...
She didn't regret her choice, she knew it was worth it, she always chose her freedom first, nothing else mattered.
And she had almost gotten away, if only she had a little more information.
But now, here she was, back under the thumb of the man who had taken everything from her.
Klaus.
"Please, just...kill me. I've told you everything that I know," she pleaded, not sure why she was bothering.
He never showed her mercy, but she couldn't help but hope he would spare her, if not for old times sake.
"You see, I believe that you believe that, but what would you not know? What could they be keeping from you? Hmm? Anything? Tell me." He said, his voice was calm as he compelled her to speak the truth.
"When I was at the Salvatore house, I saw their sister, drugged and unconscious. They were keeping her that way,"she said, her voice trembling, she couldn't control the words that came out.
Klaus smiled, the wheels turning in his mind, "Any theories on why they would do that to her?"
Katherine had an idea, but she had no proof. She had no idea what Damon was up to, but he always had a plan.
"I don't know," she said, shaking her head, she didn't like where this was going.
"C'mon, you have always been a clever little minx," Klaus purred, his hand coming up to caress her cheek, it made her feel sick.
"The only reason I can think of is to stop her from doing something," Katherine said, her mind racing, thinking back to everything she had seen, and the things she had missed.
Klaus grinned, his hand moving down to her throat, he began squeezing the air out of her.
"You can detect weaknesses like a bloodhound can sniff out a fox, so tell me, sweetheart. Is this your best guess or are you holding something back?" He asked, his fingers tightening.
She struggled, clawing at his arm, desperately trying to loosen his grip. "She's... Loyal to a fault, to those she loves, she tried to kill me in the 1800s for messing with her brothers,"
He raised an eyebrow, his face a mask of amusement, "So you think she's shifted loyalties? To whom?" He let go of her throat, and she collapsed to the ground, coughing and wheezing.
"I don't know... The only other players in town are the wolves... There's no reason for her to side with them..." She paused, her mind racing.
"There's only one other option," she said, her face contorting into a grin.
"Who?" Klaus growled, his patience was growing thin.
"Elijah.”
Tumblr media
You woke in a strange daze, unsure of how much time had passed. You didn't feel rested, in fact, you felt sluggish.
You sighed softly, trying to gather your strength. Your mind was slightly hazy and you felt hungover. Your limbs were not responding to your commands, causing you even more panic.
Your eyes finally opened, adjusting to the light. You were in your own bedroom, laying on your bed, the soft hum of your ceiling fan was the only thing you could hear.
You had a horrible sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach, you slowly looked around. There was a pile of empty blood bags on your nightstand, a cup full of vervain, and a half-empty bottle of bourbon. It was clear that someone had been here taking care of you and keeping you sedated, judging by the empty bottle it was most likely Damon.
You rolled out of bed, stumbling across the room. Your legs were weak, and you were still groggy. You managed to make it to the door and pull it open.
It was eerily quiet, the ticking clock in the hallway was pounding in your ears. You walked towards the stairs, leaning heavily against the wall, hoping to make it all the way down without falling.
As soon as you made it to the bottom, you were overcome with a wave of nausea and dizziness. You grabbed the banister, closing your eyes, waiting for the spell to pass.
Fuzzy, half formed memories came flooding back to you. Elijah was gone, your brothers had stabbed him, and then they had drugged you, so you couldn't wake him.
You remembered Damon coming into your room, holding a blood bag up to your lips, forcing you to drink.
You remembered Stefan, sitting on the edge of the bed, brushing the hair off your forehead, telling you to sleep.
You remembered Elena, cleaning your face, her voice low and gentle, she had been crying, apologizing.
Someone had carried you outside, then Elena invited you back in. The house was under her name now, a new defense measure added. You wondered who they were trying to keep out, had Klaus finally come to town? Fear suddenly gripped you... Where was everyone?
You slowly made your way to the basement door, taking the steps one at a time, trying to ignore the overwhelming need to puke.
Once you were down in the basement, you looked at Elijah's body, lying in the same position you left him. His clothes were now charred and tattered, the pillow and blanket were gone, probably burned to ash.
You moved closer, collapsing on the floor next to his body. He looked the same, gray, his eyes closed, his hair in disarray. You brushed his hair back, leaning down and kissing his forehead.
"lijah," you whispered, reaching out to hold his hand. "I know we agreed, if anything happens, we would say goodbye and walk away, but I can't, not this time. You're a part of me, I don't think you even realize how much you have come to mean to me."
You looked at the dagger in his chest, weighing the consequences of pulling it out. You didn't know what would happen if he woke up, he could rip you to shreds, or he could pull you into his arms, and hold you until you stopped crying.
There was a fifty-fifty chance he would do the latter, and that was good enough for you. Your fingers curled around the blade and you pulled it out. Then you dropped it onto the floor, letting it land with a metallic thud.
Nothing happened.
Elijah was still.
You leaned down and pressed your ear to his chest, listening.
Nothing.
"Please," you said softly, kissing his cold cheek. "Please wake up."
You returned to laying your head on his chest, your fingers curling in the fabric of his suit.
You closed your eyes, tears running down your face, holding in a breath. Waiting, waiting, waiting…
Suddenly, his heart sprung to life, beating rapidly. You sat up quickly, looking down at him, his eyes were open.
You could hardly believe it, he was looking up at the ceiling, his chest heaving, his mouth open. Then he sat up, gasping for air, looking around the basement wildly.
He was in clear agony, struggling to breathe, he looked at you with anguished eyes, the color returning to his face.
"I can't...I can't be in this house." He rushed to his feet, falling over himself, stumbling his way to the exit.
You limped out of the basement and upstairs, racing after him. The moment he got outside, he collapsed on his knees, taking in deep breaths.
You knelt in front of him, safe behind the threshold of the doorway.
"I'm so sorry," You said, your voice shaking. "I had no idea. They drugged me and I couldn't..."
"Y/n," He interrupted, his eyes finding yours, they were full of pain. "I...need a moment,"
You nodded, holding back tears that were threatening to spill. He looked awful, his clothes were ruined, and his skin was gray and dull. He was clearly starving.
You took the dagger and rolled it past the threshold, it hit his knee and he grabbed it, holding it in his hand. He glared at the blade, then looked up at you.
"Thank you," he said, his expression softening. "So much for rule three,"
"You would have done the same for me," you replied, a hint of a smile on your lips.
He slowly got to his feet, his skin still a bit gray, his face tired and worn. He held his hand out, inviting you to step over the threshold, which you did, allowing him to pull you into his arms.
You closed your eyes, enjoying the embrace, your arms wrapped around his neck, you buried your face into his shoulder.
"This is a bad idea," he said, his voice rumbling in his chest.
"I know," you said, squeezing him tightly.
He didn't respond, simply holding you against him, his breathing steadying.
"Do you want to get out of here?" You asked, looking up at him, a sad expression on his face.
"That is an excellent idea,"
Tumblr media
Your phone would not stop ringing.
You had been ignoring it for the last few hours. Elijah had taken you to a luxury hotel the next town over, far enough from Mystic Falls so you didn't have to worry about anyone showing up unexpectedly.
You were sitting on the bed, eating some room service, watching him try on some suits he had compelled the concierge to bring to the room.
"Who keeps calling?" Elijah asked, looking at you over his shoulder, buttoning a shirt.
"Damon and Stefan," You replied, sighing, "they are probably worried."
"Why haven't you answered?" He asked, frowning.
"Because... I'm mad at them," You admitted, picking at the food on your plate. "After what they did to me,"
"They were protecting themselves, and you," he said softly, putting his suit jacket on, and smoothing it.
You were surprised by him defending them, considering they had literally killed him.
"It doesn't matter, I can't face them right now," you said, shaking your head, "I'll just ignore their calls, it's the best I can do."
A text from Damon popped up on your screen, in full capital letters, it read:
‘WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?! ANSWER YOUR PHONE.’
You grumbled and picked your phone up, ready to block him when you got another text. This one was from Stefan:
‘Klaus is in town, in Alaric's body. Please just let us know you are okay,’
Your breath caught in your throat, and you froze, staring at the message.
Elijah had been looking at you and saw your reaction, "What's wrong?"
"I don't know, maybe nothing," you said, showing him your phone, his face darkening when he saw the texts.
He looked at you for a long moment, like he was contemplating his next words very carefully.
"What?" You asked, wondering what was going through his mind.
"We can't do this," he said, shaking his head. "It's too dangerous."
"What?" You said again, standing up and walking over to him.
You placed your hands on his chest, sliding them up to his shoulders. He was avoiding your gaze, but his arms moved around your waist, pulling you against him.
"What's wrong?" You asked, searching his face, but he still wouldn't look at you.
"Rule two, darling," he said softly, pressing his forehead to yours, his hands caressing your back.
"Don't do that," you said, your voice breaking, your chest ached, you were holding back tears. "I don't care about the rules, I just want you,"
"You don't know what you're asking for," he said, his breath hitching, his voice low. "If Klaus finds out about you and I, he will kill you,"
"Why? Why do you want to kill him? Who is he to you?" You asked, wanting answers, your hands curled into fists on his chest.
"I've known him since I was a child, he's my brother," he said, pulling back, so he could look you in the eyes.
You blinked, not believing what he was saying.
"But..." you stammered, not sure what to say.
He swallowed hard and began telling you all about his life. His family, what life was like in the viking age, being turned vampire, learning his mother had been unfaithful, that his beloved brother was a bastard.
"I never saw him any different, none of our siblings did," he said, his voice wavering.
You could tell this was a difficult subject, you squeezed his hand, reminding him that you were there.
"We learned of our mother's infidelity in the worst way possible..." He trailed off, his voice shaking.
"You don't have to," you said, scooting closer, wrapping your arms around him and resting your head on his shoulder.
He leaned his head against yours, his fingers stroking your arm. "I've done many terrible things, but what plagues me the most is what I did to Niklaus,"
"What did you do?" You asked, lifting your head to look at him, his brown eyes were watery.
He shook his head, unable to vocalize it, and you didn't push him. You held him, waiting, knowing it would take time.
He eventually continued, his voice low, filled with shame. "My mother was a powerful witch, she cursed him. She bound his werewolf side, made him weaker, unable to turn. She used the full moon to make it possible to break the curse."
You frowned, thinking over what he was telling you. It didn't make any sense, Klaus was a vampire, not a werewolf.
"I thought..." you said, hesitating. "I thought he was a vampire,"
"He is," Elijah said, nodding, "he's also a werewolf, but that side of him bound,"
He continued his story, explaining how Klaus was different, that he was a hybrid. The first and only of his kind, half vampire, half werewolf.
He told you how Klaus was angry and resentful, and that he had good reason to be. That he and Klaus had spent many centuries trying to break his curse, to free him from his chains.
"So the ritual isn't about werewolves or vampires being freed from their curses," You said, the realization hitting you.
"No, it's not," He admitted, frowning. "It's about my brother,"
You were quiet for a long time, processing all of the information. So Klaus had no intention of freeing the werewolves or the vampires, he just wanted to be free.
"So why do you want to kill him?" You asked, looking at Elijah.
He sighed, rubbing his face, clearly struggling.
"I have other siblings, and he took them from me," He said, his tone was strained, the words catching in his throat. "I've searched for decades, and I can't find them,"
You squeezed his hand, encouraging him to continue.
"I've lost all hope of ever finding them," he said, his jaw clenching, he looked at you with his dark tear filled eyes. "All I have now is my revenge,"
You nodded, understanding where he was coming from. If you lost your brothers, you would burn the world down to avenge them.
"What is the ritual supposed to do?" You asked, curious, wanting to learn more.
"He has to kill a werewolf, a vampire, and a doppelganger. Their blood is necessary for the ritual," he explained, his fingers gently running along your arm. "When it's complete he will be weakened, then I will kill him."
"Elena is innocent... Elijah I'm sorry but you can't let him hurt her," you said, frowning.
He looked away from you, his brow furrowing, "She has to die, but not permanently,"
"What do you mean?" You asked, confused.
"A few centuries ago, there was another doppelganger, I grew some affections for her... I found a way to keep her alive," he said, his tone was flat.
"Katherine," you said, the name leaving a bad taste in your mouth.
He nodded, "I will give Elena the elixir I acquired for Katerina. It will save her,"
You let out a sigh of relief, at least Elena would be safe.
"To kill your brother, it's not an easy thing to do," You said, leaning your head against his. "Are you really prepared for what it means?"
"The full moon is in three days," He said, changing the subject, his expression was grim. "The ritual will happen then,"
"Yes," he said, without a moment of hesitation.
You sat in silence, neither of you knew what to say.
"Sometimes there's honor in revenge," he said, his hand resting on your leg. "And sometimes you just need to put down a rabid dog, no matter how much you once loved him."
"Eli-," You started, but he cut you off with a kiss, his lips crashing against yours.
You melted against him, forgetting what you were about to say. He had this way of silencing you, and it drove you crazy.
"No more talk of the ritual," he said, his fingers gently brushing over your cheek, his eyes gazing into yours. "I want to enjoy the time we have left,"
You didn't know what to say, so you nodded, and he kissed you again.

Elijah watched you sleep, the sheet barely covering your naked body. His fingers traced patterns along your skin, his touch light as a feather.
He was trying to ignore the dread, the sinking feeling of guilt in the pit of his stomach. He needed to plan, to prepare for what he had to do, but the only thing on his mind was you.
He should have known better, he was foolish to have ever gotten involved with you. When he came to Mystic Falls he told himself no weaknesses, no distractions, and yet here you were.
"Stop watching me, it's creepy," you mumbled, rolling over, the sheet falling off of you, revealing your naked form.
"Apologies," he said, unable to help the smirk that tugged at his lips.
"I forgive you, I know I'm irresistible," you said, yawning, stretching, your body arching.
He chuckled, leaning over, kissing you. You wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling him closer.
He broke the kiss and pressed his forehead against yours, "If I asked you to do something, would you do it?"
You gave him a curious look, your fingers tangling in his hair, "That depends,"
"Would you stay here, and not interfere with the ritual?" He asked, his brow furrowing, his tone was strained.
"Elijah-," You said, sitting up, the sheets pooling around your waist.
"Please," he begged, his eyes softening.
"But Elena-," You tried to protest, but he cut you off with a kiss, his hands cupping your face.
"Your brothers will keep her safe, but if you were involved... I would lose my mind with worry," he admitted, his eyes filled with turmoil.
"I thought this was just physical?" You teased, hoping to ease the tension.
He smiled and shook his head, his thumb caressing your cheek. "I love you," he said it so softly you barely heard it, his voice cracking.
You looked at him, searching his face for any signs of a lie, but there was none. He wasn't lying, he was telling the truth, the sincerity in his words and his eyes was evident.
Your words caught in your throat, a lump forming. You couldn't bring yourself to say it, you wanted to, but it was like there was a block.
You pressed your lips to his, your tongue sliding past his lips, kissing him deeply, trying to pour all of your emotions into it.
He broke the kiss and pressed his forehead against yours, his fingers tracing your jaw, "Say it,"
"I can't," You whispered, your voice wavering.
He tilted your chin up, his dark eyes meeting yours. "I love you miss Salvatore, and it frightens me more than anything ever has,"
"Elijah," you said, cupping his face, your heart aching. "I... I love you too,"
He pulled you into a kiss, his arms wrapping around your waist, lifting you into his lap, your legs wrapping around his torso.
You were panting, the kiss was heated, needy, your fingers digging into his shoulders. You felt his erection against your inner thigh, hard and ready, and you ground against it.
"I love you," you repeated, his hands grabbing your ass, pulling you closer.
"I love you," he replied, his lips attacking your neck, sucking, biting, marking you as his.
You reached down, wrapping your fingers around his length, sliding your hand along his shaft, positioning him at your entrance.
You lowered yourself down, desperately needing to feel connected to him, his fingers dug into your hips as you sat fully in his lap, taking him deep inside of you.
He moaned, his eyes closing, his head tilting back, you leaned forward and kissed his neck, your fangs scraping along his skin.
You rolled your hips, slowly, taking him in and out of you, his breath hitching with each movement. You grinned against his skin, loving how you were making him react.
"That's it, take what you need," he said, his hand coming up to cup the back of your head, keeping you close to him.
"I love you," you breathed, your voice a soft whimper, as you sunk your fangs into his neck.
His blood flooded your mouth, warm and sweet, and you sucked, feeling his pulse beating against your lips. He tasted like pure power, it was unlike anything you had ever experienced.
He moaned, his fingers tangling in your hair, gripping it tight. You were riding him, moving your hips in a fluid motion, grinding down onto him, feeling his cock hit that perfect spot deep inside.
You pulled back, his blood dripping from your lips, his hands were on your ass, guiding your hips. He kissed you, biting down on your bottom lip and tasting you. Your blood mixing together, it was the most erotic thing you had ever done.
"That's my girl," he whispered, his voice ragged, his eyes dark with lust. "So beautiful, and mine,"
"Yes, all yours," you moaned, grinding down harder onto him.
You felt his hand moving between your ass cheeks, his finger finding your puckered hole, slowly pressing into you.
You gasped, your eyes fluttering closed, it felt so good, him inside of you like this.
"I want you to cum for me, my sweet little love," he said, his voice soft and gentle, his finger moving deeper.
You moaned, clutching at his chest, your nails raking along his skin, drawing blood. The combination of him filling you, his finger, and the taste of his blood in your mouth sent you over the edge.
You let out a long, low moan, against his lips, your walls clenching around him, milking him for everything he had.
He grunted, his eyes fluttering closed, he bit his lip, trying to muffle his moans, and he came deep inside of you.
Your body was trembling, his arms wrapped around you, holding you close to him.
You pressed your face into the crook of his neck, his skin slick with sweat, the smell of sex and blood hung heavy in the air.
You pulled back and kissed him, his hand cupping the back of your head, his fingers tangling in your hair.
"After this is all over, will you come with me?" He asked, his hand stroking your cheek.
"Where would we go?" You asked, smiling.
"Anywhere, preferably somewhere with a beach and sunshine," he replied, his fingers running through your hair.
"It's a date," you said, nuzzling his neck, breathing in his scent.
"A date?" He chuckled, his fingers tickling your sides, you giggled and squirmed away from him. "That's new for us,"
You grinned, looking down at him. "I like the sound of it,"
"As do I," he agreed, his hand stroking your cheek.
"When I first met you, I never would've thought we'd end up here," you mused, running your fingers along his jaw.
"Neither did I," he admitted, his lips turning up into a small smile.
"So, tell me about this beach trip, what would we do?" You asked, wanting to keep him talking, not wanting to leave his side.
"Hmmm," he said, thinking for a moment. "I would find us a quiet little bungalow, right on the water, with a private stretch of sand for us,"
You closed your eyes, listening to the smooth timber of his voice, imagining the soft waves and fresh ocean air.
"And we'd have our meals brought in by servants, we'd lounge on the beach, swim, and make love whenever the mood struck us," he said, his fingers dancing across your back.
"I could live with that," you said, sighing contently, enjoying his warmth.
"I'm glad," he said, leaning down and pressing his lips to yours, a soft, gentle kiss.
You broke the kiss and stared into his dark eyes, his thumb brushing across your bottom lip.
"If anything happens to me I want you to know, I don't regret a single second of it," he said, his voice soft.
"What?" You asked, giving him a worried look.
"You need to know, in case I fail, and my brother ends me before I can end him," he said, his face serious, his eyes clouded with fear.
"Elijah-," you started to protest, but he cut you off.
"Promise me," he said, his voice pleading. "If this ends badly, you will remember rule three,"
"I thought we had given up on the rules," you said, trying not to let him see how afraid you were.
"Not this one," he said, his voice cracking.
"Why? You can't seriously expect me to-"
"Please," he said, his dark eyes locked on yours. "For me,"
You sighed and nodded, leaning into him, his arms wrapping around you.
"Thank you," he whispered, his fingers stroking your back, his lips brushing against your hair.
"Just come back to me," you said, trying not to cry.
"Always,”

The problem, Damon: you talk a good game but you don't actually know anything. She'll never forgive you. And never for a vampire...It's a very long time.
Elijah's words had been echoing around in Damon's head since that morning, the smugness in the older vampire's voice made him want to put his fist through the wall.
He had made a mess of things, but he couldn't admit that to anyone. The feeling he had when he learned that today was the day of the sacrifice, the day that he would lose Elena... He simply couldn't handle it. His desire for action was overwhelming.
He didn't like everything being out of his control, so he did what he had to do. And now his brother and Elena hated him. Elijah being right was the cherry on top of his shit sundae.
In times like this, when he hit rock bottom then fell a little further, he turned to his oldest friend, his closest confidant, his beloved sister.
But you weren't picking up the phone, despite Elijah's assurances you were alive and somewhere safe, it didn't soothe his worries.
So he tried one last time, and this time you actually picked up, and his heart nearly leapt out of his chest when he heard your voice.
"If you are calling to lecture me on love, I will remind you that you are no better," your voice made his throat constrict.
"I know, I'm not," he said, his voice sounding strange to his own ears.
"Are you okay?" You asked, a little softer.
"No," he answered, his voice shaking.
"What happened?" You asked, concern creeping into your tone.
"Everything's gone to hell," he replied, his voice strained. "I gave Elena my blood... Well actually I made her drink my blood,"
"Oh Damon..."
"I had no other choice,"
"She's going to hate you,"
"I know, Elijah told me,"
"Damon... He's right,"
"I know that too,"
There was a silence on the other end of the phone, he could hear you moving around, like you were packing a bag.
"I'm on my way," you said, finally. "Partly to kick your ass, partly to give you a hug,"
"Always the multitasker," he joked, his voice cracking. "But do not come home tonight, I just need to know you are safe,"
"I'll do what I want," you said, and he could almost see the pout on your lips.
He smiled, he had missed your stubbornness, and it was the closest thing to normal he had felt all day. But he couldn't risk you being involved, everyone was already in the crossfire, and the thought of you being added to that mix was too much for him to bear.
"Sister," he said, his voice firm. "Please, please, listen to me, just this once, and stay away,"
You let out a long, irritated sigh, "I'm so bored, and I'm getting hungry,"
"Well then go find someone nice to eat and watch a movie," he suggested, chuckling.
"I can't concentrate, not when everyone I love is in danger," you grumbled.
"Does that love extend to Elijah?" He asked, trying to keep his voice even.
"Yes," you said simply, and his heart ached.
He had known, of course, but hearing you say it aloud made it real.
"Why him? Like seriously..." Damon asked, he was genuinely curious, and he needed something to distract him from the shit show he had gotten himself into. "How did you even meet him?"
"I was hunting," you answered, sounding amused. "He found my methods to be entertaining, and I found him to be a challenge,"
"Did you know who he was? What he planned for Elena?" Damon asked, trying not to sound judgemental.
"Yes, I knew who he was. But we had rules, to keep things from getting complicated," you explained.
"That didn't really work out did it?" He teased, smiling.
"No," you admitted, laughing.
There was a long pause, and he could feel his emotions starting to get the best of him.
"Damon, promise me you won't die for her?" You asked, your voice wavering.
"You know I can't do that," he said, his voice low.
"I know," you whispered. "Just please, try to survive this,"
"I'll do my best," he promised, knowing he couldn't really promise anything.
"I love you big brother," you said, and his eyes started to water. "Tell Stefan I love him too,"
"I will, I love you too," he choked out, and he heard the line go dead.
Damon stared at his phone, the picture of you, him and Stefan was staring back at him, his heart aching.
"I hope I see you tomorrow, little sis,"

The town you were hiding out in was quiet and a little boring, but you didn't mind. It was the first time in a long time you had had a few days to yourself, no drama, no life or death situations. Just perfect mundanity.
You were lounging in a café, enjoying a cup of coffee, and watching the locals, wondering what their lives were like. You envied them, their simplicity, their happiness. You imagined you and Elijah in a little house, in a place like this, with a garden and a view of the ocean.
You were lost in your own world, dreaming about the impossible, when someone cleared their throat. You looked up, a smile playing at your lips. Dinner had just arrived.
He was handsome, with curly hair and blue eyes, he had a sharp wicked glint in his eyes that sent a thrill through you. You always enjoyed a good meal with a bit of bite.
"Mind if I sit?" He asked, grinning.
"Not at all," you purred, gesturing to the chair.
He sat, and ordered a coffee, and he turned his attention back to you.
"I don't mean to be so forward, but you are downright striking," he said, his gaze running over your body.
"Thank you," you said, giving him a flirty smile. "It's a bit of a family trait,"
"Is that so? Mine as well, if you can't tell," he said, smiling.
You laughed, enjoying his company.
"You aren't from around here," he observed, sipping his coffee.
"Neither are you," you said, tilting your head.
"I'm just visiting, on vacation," he replied, grinning.
"Same,"
He was charming, and handsome, and you could feel the hunger starting to rise within you.
"I'm staying at the Inn down the street," he said, giving you a hopeful look.
"I'm staying there as well,"
"Well then, may I escort you home?"
"You may,"
The walk back to the Inn was short, you enjoyed his company, he was easy to talk to, and funny.
"Would you like a nightcap?" He asked, flashing you a crooked smile.
"That would be lovely," you said, grinning.
His hand came to rest on the small of your back, guiding you into the room. You usually enjoyed playing with your food a little before you ate, but you were committed to Elijah now, and you didn't want to stray.
As soon as you entered his room, he pinned you to the wall, moving in to kiss you. You politely dodged by pressing your lips to his neck, breathing him in.
"You are a vision," he said, his hand sliding up your arm, and into your hair.
"Thank you," you murmured, your fangs grazing his skin, his pulse racing beneath your lips.
He moaned, and gripped your waist, pressing his hips against yours. You could feel him, hard against your thigh, and you went to bite down.
Suddenly, he pulled your head back by your hair, hard. With strength you hadn't expected, he forced you back, pushing you hard into the wall, the plaster cracking behind you.
"I see why my brother is so taken," he growled, his eyes darkening.
Your heart dropped into your stomach, "Klaus,"
"The one and only, love," he said, smirking.
You tried to pull away, but his grip on you was too strong.
"Don't worry, love," he purred, his hand stroking your cheek. "I won't hurt you,"
"Fuck you," you said, glaring at him.
He smirked, and kissed you, hard, his teeth cutting into your lips.
"You're a feisty little thing," he said, licking his lips. "Even wilder than your brothers,"
You hissed and tried to struggle, his hands tightening around your arms, digging into your skin. "If you hurt them..."
"Now, now," he said, tutting. "Let's not make threats, especially when you can't back them up,"
You bared your fangs at him, but he only grinned.
"I've been wanting to meet you," he said, his thumb brushing across your cheek. "Elijah's little distraction,"
"I'm more than a distraction," you growled, struggling against his hold.
"Hmmm," he hummed, leaning in and nuzzling your neck. "I know,"
You were too frightened to speak, your whole body trembling.
"It's what I'm counting on dear,"

Klaus had been dragging you through the woods for what felt like hours.
Your fear had turned into anger and you began to try and fight him. It seemed to amuse him for a while, he'd let you run only to catch you with ease.
"Why are you doing this?" You growled, his hand holding your arm tightly, leading you through the trees.
"To be reborn, as I truly am," he said, his expression thoughtful.
You rolled your eyes and let out an annoyed sigh, he was a narcissist, the kind of man who enjoyed the sound of his own voice.
"Do you know how long I've waited for this?" He asked, looking down at you. "One thousand years,"
 "I know," you sighed.
"Of course you do," he said, smirking. "Elijah loves to spill his heart out after a good bedding doesn't he?"
You didn't answer him, he was trying to get under your skin, and it was working.
"My brother has always been the strong, self righteous type, with an unbreakable moral code," Klaus chuckled, picking up his pace, dragging you along. "That is... Until he gets his face between a pretty pair of legs,"
"Fuck you," you spat, anger boiling up inside of you.
"You have a smart mouth," he said, his fingers squeezing your arm. "I think I'll like to see how you use it later,"
You freed yourself from his grip and slapped him hard across the face. No man was allowed to speak to you in that way, and you certainly weren't going to tolerate it from this monster.
His expression changed from amusement to anger in the blink of an eye. He slammed you against a nearby tree, the twigs and branches impaling you.
You cried out, blood pouring from the puncture wounds, and he grabbed a fistful of your hair, forcing you to look him in the eye.
 "That was very, very stupid,"
His words sent a chill down your spine, and a fresh wave of fear washed over you.
"What's the matter?" He asked, his tone taunting. "No more choice words and acts of violence for me?"
"Don't kill me," you said, tears starting to run down your cheeks.
"I won't," he assured you, his lips brushing against yours. "But I will kill everyone in Mystic Falls if you don't do what I say. If you don't believe me... Just ask sweet little Katerina about it,"
Your blood ran cold, you knew what he was capable of, and you had no choice but to obey him.
Through the trees you could see a circle of fire, and you felt dread sink into the pit of your stomach.
"No," you pleaded, trying to pull away.
"Stop being so dramatic, love," he said, rolling his eyes.
He pulled you into the clearing, throwing you down on the ground next to the three women sitting in their own rings of fire.
You could see Elena, a terrified look on her face, along with her aunt Jenna and a woman you didn't recognize.
"Hello my lovelies," Klaus said, grinning. "Are we all ready?"
He gave you a swift kick, then grabbed you by the hair and pulled you to your feet. "I brought an assistant with me,"
He pushed you forward, leaving you to stand there as he walked to the altar, handing the moonstone to a witch standing nearby.
You looked at Elena and Jenna, they were beyond scared, their eyes full of tears, and you felt your stomach twist, you didn't know how to help them.
The witch had begun to chant, a mixture of Latin and something else, the moonstone began to spark, then it exploded into nothing.
"Bring me the wolf," Klaus demanded, looking at you with a wild, manic look in his eyes.
You shook your head, your whole body trembling, you refused to let him hurt someone else.
"It's either them or the entire town, love. That includes your brothers," he growled, his jaw clenched.
The thought of losing Stefan and Damon made your stomach clench, and tears started to run down your face.
"Bring her. Now," he growled, his tone brokering no argument.
You walked towards the first ring of fire, to the terrified woman who was writhing in pain, her cries echoing through the trees.
The ring disappeared as you approached, and you lifted the girl into your arms. She was whimpering and shaking, the transition having begun.
"I'm so sorry," you whispered, carrying her to the altar.
"Good girl," Klaus hummed, taking the wolf from your arms, and laying her on the stone.
Klaus kneeled over her, looking down at her with an evil grin, his eyes were filled with a mix of desire and madness, and he plunged his hand into her chest, ripping her heart out.
Jenna and Elena screamed, watching Klaus hold up the wolf's heart, his expression triumphant.
"I'll make it quick, I promise," Klaus said, grinning. "They will barely feel a thing,"
You looked over at Elena and Jenna, their screams piercing the air, the witches chanting growing louder.

Elijah was looking up at the night sky, watching the moon slowly make its way across, his thoughts on you. He couldn't stop thinking about your smile, and the way your eyes lit up whenever you saw him.
If tonight went smoothly, he had so many plans with you, the first was taking you to Paris, a city that was sure to dazzle you. After that he would whisk you away to Rome, where you could visit the many art museums and eat all the food you wanted.
He wanted to spoil you, shower you with everything you could ever want, and then some. It had been nearly sixty years of searching for his brother, trying to uncover the rest of his family. He felt like tonight was the first chance he had to truly mourn, then he could finally move on and spend the rest of his time with you.
He had spoken with Stefan earlier, before he left with Bonnie to go stop Klaus. He liked Stefan, he was an honorable man who respected the choices of the ones he loved, even if he didn't agree with them.
Elijah hoped he and Stefan could be friends one day, once everything settled down, he knew that would make you happy. To see peace between him and your brothers. Damon would be a more difficult task, he reminded him of Klaus, cocky and impulsive, and that was a difficult combination.
The waiting was beginning to make him antsy. He had to wait for the right moment to strike, but there were so many factors outside of his control, he didn't like the feeling. He needed to distract himself, keep his mind from wandering too far.
He thought about his siblings, of sweet Rebekah, wild Kol, and serious Finn. What would they think of him killing Klaus? He wished he could have saved them, he wanted so badly to see them again.
He let out a long sigh, steeling himself for what he had to do. Klaus was no longer his brother, he had been twisted into a monster, and he had to be put down.
It was time, he could see the moon hanging high above him, it was time to end this.

You watched Klaus squeeze the wolf's heart over the altar, the blood dripping into the fire, igniting it.
"Next, the vampire," he said, grinning.
You stood, frozen, watching him, as a wave of guilt crashed over you.
"Bring me Jenna, go on,"
You shook your head, tears stinging your eyes.
"No," you said in the smallest voice.
You could hear Jenna and Elena, talking to each other, they were saying their goodbyes and it broke your heart.
Klaus turned, and walked over to you, his eyes were dark and cold, and his jaw was clenched.
"Are you offering yourself in her place then?" He growled, his hand coming up to grab your chin.
You didn't answer him, you were staring over his shoulder at Jenna and Elena.
"I'll take that as a yes,"
You let him drag you to the altar, and push you down onto the cold stone, he forced you to kneel. You didn't fight him, you had lived for many decades longer than sweet Jenna and Elena, the old should always give their lives for the young.
Klaus let out a hearty chuckle and kicked you over, his hand gripping your hair.
"I don't recall you being on the guest list," Klaus yelled, looking into the dark forest.
You heard the sound of footsteps as someone approached, it was Stefan. His expression was calm, but his eyes were furious.
"What can I do for you, Mr. Salvatore?" Klaus asked, amused.
Stefan looked at you, a concerned look on his face.
"Well, I figured you could start by letting my sister go," Stefan said, his voice firm.
"Hmm," Klaus said, looking down at you. "I don't think I will, she's quite the little spitfire, and I rather enjoy her company,"
"Let her go, I'll take her place," Stefan offered, taking a step forward.
"That's quite noble of you," Klaus said, smiling. "But, I think I'd prefer my original plan. I rather appreciate the symmetry of three women...Three goddesses sacrificed at nature's altar."
He grabbed both you and Stefan and dragged you towards the rings of fire. Throwing you both down next to Elena and Jenna.
"Quite the predicament. You know, it's funny, all this talk about preserving family, and here's Stefan, granting your wish," Klaus said to Elena, smiling.
Stefan and Elena were looking at each other, a silent conversation passing between them.
"Oh, don't look so glum," Klaus said, looking between the two. "There's actually no choice,"
Klaus took a stake and plunged it into Stefan's spine, causing him to yell in pain, unable to move.
You and Elena both screamed, you got to your feet to strike Klaus, but he grabbed you by the throat, squeezing hard.
"Let them go," Elena pleaded, tears running down her cheeks. "I understand that I have to die, but they don't,"
Klaus ignored her and looked into your eyes, his hand tightening around your neck.
"Bring Jenna to the altar, or I'll kill Stefan," he growled, his fingers digging into your skin.
You nodded, tears welling in your eyes, you couldn't lose Stefan.
"Please," you whispered, your hands clawing at his.
He let you go, then walked back to the altar.
"Bring her, now," he ordered, pointing at the ring of fire surrounding Jenna.
You stood, walking slowly over to the fire, the ring disappeared and Jenna looked up at you with tear filled eyes. She looked so afraid, so helpless.
"I'm so sorry," you said, your voice breaking, as you helped her to her feet.
You walked her over to the altar, Klaus waiting patiently.
"Jenna, I'm so sorry," you whispered, your hand brushing the hair from her face.
She was sobbing, her body shaking, and you held her close, stroking her hair.
"Please Klaus, just use me instead, she's innocent," you begged, tears running down your face.
"You Salvatore's are so predictable," Klaus sighed, rolling his eyes.
Klaus walked over, and pulled Jenna from your arms, he threw her down onto the altar. Everything seemed to blur, you could hear Elena screaming, the chants of the witch, the cracking of the fire. You saw Stefan reaching out to Elena through the flames, and then, it was quiet.
Klaus plunged a stake into her heart, Elena's wails were all you could hear. Jenna's lifeless body was lying on the altar, her face frozen in fear. You had brought her to her slaughter. You had killed her.
"Such a wonderful assistant," Klaus cooed, he grabbed your chin, his bloody fingers digging into your skin. "Be a good girl and bring me the doppelganger,"
You looked into his cold eyes, his mouth twisted into a smirk.
"Now," he growled.
You nodded, then walked over to Elena, tears were running down her cheeks, but she put on a brave face as the last ring of fire disappeared.
"Elena," you whispered, tears welling in your eyes, your whole body was shaking. "I'm so, so sorry,"
"Don't," she said, her voice shaky. "It's not your fault. It's nice to have a friend here at the end,"
She held your hand as you helped her walk over to Klaus. You looked at Stefan, he was struggling to free himself, his eyes filled with worry.
"Elena," Stefan called, his voice breaking.
"It's okay, Stefan," she said, her grip on your hand tightening. "I'm ready,"
You helped her up onto the altar, and Klaus looked down at her with hungry eyes.
"Thank you Elena," he said softly, pulling her against him and moving her hair away from her neck.
"Go to hell," she said, her voice strong.
He chuckled and sank his fangs into her neck.
Elena didn't fight, she let death take her, her grip loosening on your hand, as her last breath left her.
You were shaking, the sound of Klaus drinking from her filling the silence. You had lost two friends today, and the world was suddenly a lot emptier.
When the last bit of blood left her body, Klaus dropped her to the ground and the fire in the altar went out.
You knelt next to her, brushing her hair away from her face, then you looked back at Stefan who was writhing in pain, crying at the loss of Elena.
Klaus staggered a bit, the full moon peeking out from the trees. He groaned, and started to change, his bones cracking as he stumbled forward, his expression a mask of pure bliss.
"It's happening," he moaned, his eyes turned gold, and he was overcome with pleasure. "I can feel it,"
You couldn't stand this any long, all this pain and death. You needed it to end.
You moved down the steps towards him, grabbing a branch off a nearby tree, snapping it in half.
"Come on, sweetheart," he taunted, turning to look at you, his eyes shining. "I'm indestructible,"
"I don't care," you snarled, lunging for him. "You still feel pain,"
You charged at him, striking him across the face, your rage blinding you, making you miss his fist, as it collided with your stomach.
The blow threw you across the clearing, and you landed on your back, the air leaving your lungs, the branch now lodged in your side.
You saw Damon come running out of the woods, he first looked to Elena, then to Stefan, but when he laid eyes on you, he ran to your side.
"No, no, no, no," he said, his eyes filled with panic, he pulled the wood from your side. "You're not supposed to be here,"
You could hear the concern in his voice, and you smiled up at him, cupping his face. He helped you to your feet, your wounds healing, then he pushed you behind him.
"Damon," you said softly, trying to stop him.
"Bonnie is here, it's okay, let me handle this," he said, his tone stern.
Klaus was standing there, laughing maniacally, a mad grin on his face, then his body began to shake and he fell to the ground.
Suddenly his laughter turned to screams, as Bonnie came striding out of the trees, chanting a spell, she raised her hand, causing Klaus to scream in agony. The fire returned to the altar and spread into the trees, her magic all around them as she channeled every ounce of power she possessed, bringing the hybrid to his knees.
Then she choked on her words, gasping for air, looking around for the source.
"Get the witch!" Stefan yelled, pointing to Klaus' witch, still standing at the altar, her hand outstretched.
Bonnie raised her hands, trying to focus her power, but she was struggling, and you could see the strain on her face.
The witch threw Bonnie into the air, knocking her out, her body hitting the ground.
Damon ran for the witch, and tackled her, his teeth sinking into her neck. He killed her instantly, her body going limp in his arms.
The fire disappeared, the flames extinguishing, the magic disappearing. A deadly quiet settling over everything.
Suddenly, you felt a hand in your hair, dragging you backwards, the pain making you scream.
"Elijah!" Klaus roared into the woods, "I know you are out there, show yourself!"
You saw Elijah walk out of the trees, and into the clearing, his expression unreadable, but his eyes were locked on yours.
Klaus's fingers dug into your scalp, and he pulled harder, forcing you to your knees between them.
"What a sight," Klaus mocked, grinning at Elijah.
"Hello, brother," Elijah said, his eyes still locked on yours.
"You've come to kill me?" Klaus said, chuckling. "How is that working out for you?"
He pulled you back to your feet, your whole body trembling.
"Actually, I've come to make you an offer," Elijah said, taking a step closer, his hands clasped behind his back.
"Oh," Klaus said, amused. "An offer, I wonder what that might be,"
"Spare them, and I will pledge my loyalty to you," Elijah said, his voice soft, his eyes never leaving yours.
"You're lying," Klaus growled, his hand wrapping around your throat, his fangs grazing your skin. "You're only offering yourself, so I won't kill her. That's not true loyalty,"
You saw Damon lift Elena's body into his arms, carrying her to Stefan. Then he pulled the stake out of Stefan's back, allowing him to move again.
"Elijah," Stefan called, his voice shaky. "You need to finish this,"
"I can't," he said, shaking his head. "Klaus will kill her,"
Damon rushed to Bonnie's side, trying to wake her up, and Klaus laughed, his lips pressed against your ear.
"Run to your love, if you make it I'll let you live," he whispered, shoving you forward.
You stumbled, your legs barely able to support you, then you started running towards Elijah, tears streaming down your face.
You made it to him, and his arms wrapped around you, holding you tight, he was murmuring soft words into your ear, his breath tickling your skin. And you finally felt safe again.
"Are you okay?" He asked, pulling away to look at you, his fingers brushing the hair from your face.
"Yes," you said softly, your hand gripping his jacket.
You were staring up at him, his brown eyes were warm and full of worry, and you had forgotten how much you missed him.
"Good," he murmured, pressing his forehead against yours.
Your lips met his at the same time you felt something strange in your back. An odd pressure that made you gasp into his mouth.
You pulled away from Elijah, there was a strange look on his face, his mouth falling open, and he looked down at you, a look of pure terror in his eyes.
For the first time in centuries, you felt cold, the world was spinning around you. You knew what was happening,
Your hand pressed against his chest, you could feel his heart beating against your palm. You looked up into his brown eyes one last time.
"Rule three, my love," you whispered, before your life faded away, and your body fell against him.
Elijah looked down at you, your skin rapidly turning gray, your eyes vacant. Then he looked up at Klaus, who held your heart in his hands.
"This is for betraying me," Klaus said, dropping the organ at his feet, the blood running down the stone steps.
Elijah stood there, his arms wrapped around your lifeless body, his whole world was crumbling.
He could hear Stefan and Damon screaming, but it sounded far away, the own beating of his heart drowning out the rest.
Klaus grabbed Elijah by the neck, forcing him to drop your body, and shoved him to the ground.
"Look at her, the way she's staring up at the stars, it's quite beautiful, isn't it?" Klaus mocked, as Elijah watched you, lifeless on the cold stone. "And it's all because of you,"
Elijah looked away, a tear falling down his cheek, his brother's words cutting into him.
"You're pathetic," Klaus hissed, his hands gripping Elijah's jacket, your blood staining the fabric. "To think you could beat me,"
Elijah closed his eyes, trying to block out his brother's words, but it was no use, his mind was replaying every moment with you. Knowing he would never taste your lips again, or hear your laugh. You would never fall asleep in his arms.
He looked over at Damon, who had rushed to your body. He was holding you, rocking you back and forth in his arms, with Stefan by his side, his face stained with tears, a look of anguish on his face.
Elijah's world was fading away, as he was overcome with rage and anguish, a darkness consuming him, and Klaus just kept talking, his voice becoming more and more distant.
Then something within him snapped, a creature that was lurking underneath his skin came bursting through, a monster taking the place of the gentleman.
He turned his attention back to his brother, and Klaus froze, the fear clear in his eyes.
Damon watched as Elijah pushed Klaus backwards, causing him to fly across the clearing, skidding along the dirt, landing a few feet away.
Elijah walked in a slow, deliberate pace towards Klaus , his expression devoid of any emotion.
"You're right, Klaus," Elijah said, a cold smile spreading across his face. "We are not the same,"
Klaus tried to stand, but Elijah shoved him back down, he grabbed Klaus leg and twisted it until it snapped. Klaus howled in agony, and Elijah smiled, twisting the other leg, and his brother's screams were echoing through the night.
"You want to be a beast?" Elijah growled, pulling Klaus into the air by his neck, his hands wrapped around his throat. "Let me help you,"
Damon felt a gentle hand on his shoulder, and Bonnie was standing there, her eyes full of sorrow.
"Damon," she whispered, tears running down her face.
"Go, help Elijah," he said, his voice hollow. "I'll stay here with her,"
Bonnie nodded, she stood up, her body trembling. Stefan jumped to his feet to help her stay upright, and she began to chant once more.
The altar burst into flames for a third time, illuminating Klaus and Elijah in a ring of fire as they struggled against each other.
"What is this?" Klaus yelled, pushing Elijah away, trying to fight the pain. "What have you done?"
"Something that should have been done centuries ago," Elijah growled, rushing towards his brother, knocking him down, pinning him to the dirt, his hand raised.
"In the name of our family, Niklaus...," Elijah said, plunging his hand into his brother's chest, curing his fingers around Klaus's heart. "In the name of her..."
"I didn't bury them at sea!" Klaus yelled, his hand trying to pry Elijah's away. "They are safe, I swear,"
Elijah looked at him, a flicker of hope in his eyes.
"I can take you to them," Klaus pleaded, his hands gripping Elijah's wrist. “Their bodies are safe. If you kill me, you'll never find them,”
"Elijah, don't listen to him," Stefan yelled, walking towards them.
"Brother, please," Klaus begged. "She wouldn't want this, please,"
Your beautiful face flashed through Elijah's mind, and he looked back at Damon, who was kneeling there, tears in his eyes, clutching your body.
"You're wrong, Klaus," Elijah growled, his hand squeezing the organ in his grip. "She would want this,"
Then he tore Klaus's heart from his chest, and watched the life fade from his brother's eyes.
Klaus's body dropped to the ground, his heart still beating in Elijah's hand, and the flames died down, leaving the clearing in silence.
Bonnie walked up to him, looking down at the flames.
"Good," She said, her voice hoarse.
Elijah looked back at Stefan and Damon, they were kneeling next to your body, Stefan's hand caressing your cheek.
Elijah rushed over to you, looking down at your peaceful face, you almost looked like you were sleeping.
Elijah brushed the hair from your face, his hands were shaking. He couldn't understand how something so beautiful could be snuffed out so easily.
"Don't touch her," Damon said, pulling you away from Elijah.
"You did this," Damon snapped, glaring at Elijah. "It's your fault she's dead,"
Elijah nodded and stepped away, Damon was right, it was his fault.
"Damon," Stefan said, reaching for his brother.
"No, he has to answer for this," Damon said, getting to his feet, your body in his arms.
"It's over Damon," Bonnie said softly, looking up at him. "It's over,"
Damon looked down at you, and tears started to stream down his cheeks. He was shaking, and Stefan reached for him, the two of them clinging to each other, your body between them.
"I think it's best you leave," Bonnie said, her eyes filled with sadness. "Please, go,"
Elijah nodded, his heart breaking as he looked down at your lifeless form, knowing this was his fault.
"Where will you go?" Stefan asked, as he wiped his eyes.
"I need to find my siblings," he said softly, looking away from the sight. "With Klaus dead, everyone he compelled will be free, I'll follow the clues they left behind,"
He looked back at you, and his heart shattered.
"Will you be okay?" Stefan asked, his hand on Elijah's shoulder.
"One day," he replied, turning to look at him, a small smile on his face.
"Thank you," Stefan said softly.
Elijah gave them a small nod, then disappeared into the trees, heading far away from Mystic Falls. His heart forever bound to yours.

~Epilogue
Time changes all things, this was something Damon had the basics of understanding, but nothing could prepare him for how it would affect him when he became human again.
He was an old man, something he never expected to experience, and yet there he was.
"Are you ready?" Elena asked, her hand on his arm.
"Always," he answered, his voice weak, but his smile was genuine.
She leaned in and kissed his cheek, her eyes still as bright and beautiful as the day he met her.
The walk to the Salvatore family crypt was slow, and the pain in his joints was unbearable. He hated getting old.
They entered the stone building, and Damon let go of Elena's arm, making his way over to your stone. He placed his hand on it, the smoothness soothing his calloused hand.
"Hi sis," he said, smiling down at the stone. "It's been a while, i've been so busy,"
He took a seat in the chair next to your grave, he had brought it decades ago. He was a man who liked his comfort, and he spent hours talking to you, catching you up on everything that had happened since the last time he was there.
"I have grandkids now! Can you believe it? They are the cutest, I even named a boy after you, well, the closest we could come, but, yeah," he said, a wide grin on his face.
Damon looked over at Elena, who was laying flowers at Stefan's grave. She was the only one left, and he was so grateful for her.
"I miss you and Stefan so much," Damon said softly. "But it won't be long now until I see you again,"
There was an awkward cough and Damon looked up to see a delivery boy standing in the doorway, looking uncomfortable.
"I have a delivery for Miss Y/n Salvatore," he said, walking up to him, a bouquet of flowers in his hand.
"She's not exactly up for company," Damon said with a chuckle, gesturing to your stone.
"I know, this actually isn't my first time doing this," he said, a smile spreading across his face. "Actually, the guy who use to deliver along this route said that he's been delivering here once a week for his entire fourty year career,"
Damon stood up slowly, his bones protesting the movement. He held his hand out and the boy handed him the flowers.
"Thanks, kid," Damon said, sitting back down, there was a note tucked in with the flowers.
The boy gave him a little wave before disappearing.
Elena came to sit next to him, her hand on his knee, she gave him a sad smile. "What does it say?"
Damon pulled out his glasses, and read it out loud, a tear rolling down his cheek.
For a thousand years, I had never known love, until you, and for a thousand more, I will wait for you.
-Elijah

soft spot
damon salvatore x reader
summary; you're injured in a fight with a rogue vampire who breezed into town, and Damon is being weird about it
hurt/comfort
----
You tried to stay hidden in the shadows outside of the streetlight, but your rapid heartbeat probably would've given you away either way.
"Who the hell is this guy?" You heard Damon mutter from the spot he was tossed just a few feet away from you, dusting the dirt from the trash cans he'd squished like cardboard. His ice blue eyes spared you a quick glance but didn't say a word, trying not to draw any attention your way.
Damon intervened as Caroline was struggling to grapple with the stranger. In the span of a moment, she was on the ground groaning with a broken arm and he had launched the assailant to give them a chance to regroup - right toward you.
You couldn't help the little gasp that you emitted, no matter how much time you spent around these creatures this was a vampire. One in particular who would have no hang ups about snapping your neck.
Per their supernatural hearing, it didn't take long for the mans vicious senses to find you, and took half as long for him to have a bruising hand around your neck.
The sound of Damon yelling your name was distant in the background, you were focused on the threat literally snarling in your face.
"Don't you smell good?"
That was as far as the stranger managed to get before Damon had the broken handle of a broom protruding from his back. His grip slipped off your throat as his body slid sideways and you toppled to the ground, heading bouncing off the pavement hard enough for you to see stars.
Damon's voice was faint to you again, but you could hear him begging for your attention. Caroline was in the background too, in panicked discussion with someone over the phone. You couldn't get your eyes to focus though, hair becoming wet and warm.
The eldest Salvatore's touch on you was feather light, his mouth still moving with words he wanted you to latch onto but you had already lost the dance with consciousness.
⋆。˚ ☁︎ ˚。⋆。˚☽˚。⋆
The first thing you were aware of when you woke up in a bed was that it was decidedly not yours. The next thing you noticed was that you weren't in any pain, just a bit stiff when you went to sit up from the bed. Someone had definitely given you blood, which was against every rule her and her friends had discussed, but from the smell of the sheets behind you - Damon wouldn't have cared either way.
You made your way out of the room and down the stairs, vaguely knowing the layout of the boarding house from your handful of times actually coming inside. Over the last few months you had become dangerously intertwined in Elena's grapple with the supernatural, despite Bonnie's vehement advice to go as far as possible. You were emancipated, you could switch schools and move to Pennsylvania.
No, you couldn't. Once your conscious had been opened to everything around you, once you were aware of the dangers of the dark - you could never ignore that. Better the evil you know.
Speaking of.
You came upon Damon in his favorite spot, a tumbler of bourbon in his hand while he leaned up against the fireplace. The suit jacket he had been wearing earlier that night was discarded on the couch behind him, a small amount of blood on the collar of his shirt still.
"You always look so broody." Poking fun at him might not be in your best interest, but you figured you'd give it a go. Over the last few months, your and Damon's relationship had morphed into something you couldn't quite understand, but moments like these had seemed to become more comfortable between you.
"I believe you're confusing me with my much broodier younger brother." Damon's words were laced with sarcasm, but his tone didn't have a hint of amusement.
You felt suddenly awkward, in his space and home. Just because you had gotten kind of comfortable lately didn't mean he wanted to be around you.
"Well, thanks for the whole life saving thing." You began to babble nervously, a faint pink glow to your cheeks. "I'll get out of your hair. Sorry for taking your bed, I don't even know what time it is-" You had begun turning toward the door, making to just leave and find a way home. How you could this age and still flustered in front of attractive men, especially murderous ones was beyond you.
Damon appearing in front of you almost made your heart stop, hair stirring at his incredibly fast movements. He was barely a foot away, his piercing gaze holding your confused one. From this close you could smell just how much he had probably drank.
"Are you... okay, Damon?" Your voice wavered a bit under the heat of his stare and you saw the muscle in his jaw working overtime while he looked like he was debating whether or not he wanted to actually say anything to you.
"You don't have to thank me for saving you when you were in danger because of me." His eyes had drifted from your eyes to your neck, voice whisper quiet.
Vulnerability was the last thing you expected from the man standing over you. "What do you mean? It wasn't your fault. Just wrong place, wrong time and I so happen to be the weakest link." You hoped your voice conveyed even a bit of humor.
His eyes snapped back up to yours, head tilting slightly while he assessed you. Damon's hand rose to grab a lock of your hair, twirling it around his finger in thought. Your breath caught in your throat, feeling like you were on the precipice of something.
"My weakest link, maybe. Have I told you how much I like your hair?" His voice was still quiet, an innocent lilt.
Your mind was reeling, half drunk on his closeness and hazed by confusion. Where was this coming from? Had he drank a small liquor store and now he was confusing her for her much more appealing best friend?
"Damon, I'm not sure how much you've had to drink, but I'm happy to brew you a pot of coffee. Does that even work for vampires?"
You had started to pull away, making to turn toward the kitchen but Damon was infinitely faster than you. His drink was discarded, one hand going to your upper arm and the other to your waist, tugging you back into his vicinity.
"On the contrary, I don't think I've ever been so sure minded, sparrow. I'm sorry for not protecting you tonight." His voice was tight now, the warmth of his hands tingling down your body.
"It's not your fault, or job, Damon." Your voice had quieted to match his, all humor leaving. You didn't know where this guilt had come from, but it was misplaced. Since you'd met Damon he'd made some bad decisions, but you had also seen his sacrifice so much for the sake of the team. Even if others didn't acknowledge it, he didn't need to add anymore to his plate.
"I'd like it to be. My job." His reply was lightning quick, eyes pinning yours in place.
Were you dreaming?
Damon's signature smirk was visible for a split second, telling you that your confusion was written all over your face. "I think that I'm asking you, in the most coming of age movie way, if you'd like to go steady?"

PLEASE AND THANK YOU I LOVE YOUR FICS SM AND I LOVE GWENDOLINE CHRISTIE SM
What We Never Said
Brienne of Tarth x fem!reader
A/N: Giggling and kicking my feet as I get asked to write angst 🤪 I hope you’ll like what I did with your request, enjoy!!
Tumblr media
The grand halls of the castle had always felt too large, too empty, despite their opulence. Tonight, they felt suffocating. The whispers had grown into conversations, and the conversations into proclamations—You had finally accepted a suitor. The announcement was set to be made within the week.
Brienne had never known true fear until she overheard those words.
For years, she had watched as noblemen, lords, and princes from across the realm sought your hand. They came with wealth, with power, with whispered promises of alliance and prosperity. Each time, they were sent away, some with quiet refusals, others with barely concealed disgust.
"Too arrogant," you had said of Lord Redwyne. "Too cruel," of Prince Damon. "Too dull," of Ser Aldric.
Brienne had been there for every rejection, standing silently by your side, watching as your father’s patience wore thin, as your court whispered about your stubbornness. She had never dared to wonder why you refused them all—had never allowed herself to hope. But now, hearing that you had finally chosen someone, the reality crashed into her like a blow to the chest.
She had spent the past fortnight avoiding you, unable to face the weight of what she’d accidentally heard.
That night had started like any other. She had been making her way through the castle’s dim corridors, her mind preoccupied with the day’s duties, when she heard your voice. It wasn’t unusual—she had long since memorized the soft cadence of your speech—but something about your tone made her pause. She hovered just out of sight, heart hammering in her chest, as she realized you were speaking with your most trusted lady-in-waiting.
"I do not love him," you had said, voice quiet but steady. "I never have, nor any of the others."
There was a pause before your companion asked, "Then why, Princess? Why have you turned them all away?"
Brienne’s breath caught in her throat. She should have left. She should not have lingered in the shadows, listening to words never meant for her ears. And yet, she was rooted in place, as if the very foundations of the castle held her there.
"Because," you exhaled, a sound so weary it nearly broke her, "I have been in love with Brienne of Tarth since we were young. And she will never love me back."
Brienne felt as if the air had been knocked from her lungs. She gripped the cold stone wall beside her, steadying herself as your words echoed in her head. You loved her?
She barely heard the rest of the conversation over the roaring in her ears. Your lady-in-waiting murmured something about duty and the expectations placed upon you, and you had only laughed bitterly.
"It does not matter now. My father grows impatient, and I can only hold him off for so long. If I must marry another to quiet the rumours, then so be it. Brienne will never know."
Brienne staggered away from the corridor, her chest tight, her breath shallow. A sickness coiled in her stomach, shame mingling with longing. You had loved her for years. And she had been a coward. She had told herself that silence was protection, that swallowing her love was an act of duty. And in doing so, she had let you suffer alone.
And now you were to marry another.
She stormed through the dim corridors, her blood roaring in her ears, her fists clenched at her sides. The thought of you—her princess—standing at an altar beside some nobleman who had done nothing to earn your love, who would never deserve it, sent a fire through her veins.
She didn’t think. She didn’t plan. She only knew she had to find you.
When she reached your chambers, she barely registered the guards stationed outside. She was the sworn shield of your house, and they did not stop her as she pushed through the heavy doors and into your candle-lit room.
You stood near the window, your hands clasped before you, a ghost of yourself. You turned at her abrupt entrance, your lips parting slightly, surprise flickering in your eyes.
“Brienne?” Your voice was wary, but beneath it, there was something fragile, something tired.
She struggled for breath, her throat tight, her limbs trembling from the storm within her. She had rehearsed so many words in her mind over the years, ways to tell you she had loved you since she first understood what love was—but all that came out was raw, desperate.
“You’re to be married?”
You stiffened. A silence stretched between you, heavy with unsaid things. Finally, you lowered your gaze, your fingers twisting in the fabric of your gown.
“I had no choice,” you murmured. “My father—he’s grown tired of my refusals. And I—I had to move on, Brienne.” You inhaled sharply, as if trying to steady yourself. “You gave me no reason to hope.”
Brienne felt as if she’d been struck.
Her silence had been a weapon she had never meant to wield against you.
A ragged breath tore from her lips, and suddenly she was in front of you, closer than she had dared to stand in years. “You think I don’t love you?” she rasped, her voice shaking.
You looked up at her then, and in the flickering candlelight, she saw the cracks in the mask you had worn for so long. You swallowed, shaking your head slightly. “You’ve never given me any reason to think you did.”
Brienne’s restraint crumbled. “Gods, I’ve loved you since we were little more than children.” The words tumbled out, raw and unguarded. “I have loved you in every glance, in every breath, in every moment I have ever stood beside you.”
Your breath hitched, your eyes wide. “Brienne—”
She shook her head, stepping back as if the weight of her confession had shattered something inside her. “I thought—I thought if I stayed silent, it would be enough. That I would rather endure my love in secret than risk losing you.” She let out a bitter laugh, running a hand through her hair. “And now I’ve lost you anyway.”
You stared at her, your body trembling. “You fool,” you whispered, your voice breaking. “Do you know how many nights I spent dreaming of you? How many years I spent hoping—only to watch you act as if I was nothing but your duty?”
Brienne flinched. “I never meant to hurt you.”
“And yet you did.”
Silence stretched between you again, thick with pain, with wasted years, with love that had been buried for too long.
Then, slowly, hesitantly, you reached for her hand. “If you love me,” you whispered, “say it again.”
Brienne exhaled shakily, her fingers curling around yours. She stepped closer, until there was nothing between you but the grief of what had almost been lost. “I love you,” she breathed. “I have always loved you.”
A choked sob left your lips before you surged forward, wrapping your arms around her. Brienne caught you, holding you as if she could shield you from the very world itself. She felt your tears dampen her tunic, felt your heart hammering against hers, and she pressed her lips to your hair, murmuring, “Forgive me. Please, forgive me.”
You pulled back just enough to meet her gaze, your own eyes glistening. “Only if you promise to never let me go again.”
Brienne cupped your face in her hands, her thumb brushing away a stray tear. “Never,” she swore, before finally, finally, she kissed you.
And for the first time in years, the halls of the castle did not feel so empty.

First Choice
Damon Salvatore x Female Human Reader
Summary: Damon was never anyone's first choice and it had always weighed heavily on him. What happens when he finally finds someone who can change that?
TW: Naivety, bit of corruption, toxic relationships, emotional manipulation, poisoning.
Tumblr media
Damon returned to Mystic Falls with the darkest of intentions, he wanted to leave a trail of bodies and cause as much pain as possible. Damon wanted to free Katherine from the tomb beneath the church. He soon came to the realization that he couldn't accomplish it alone.
Damon had created some toxic, but somewhat functional relationships with Stefan and many other people in the town. Not a single person would miss him if he dropped dead and he accepted that.
Soon he would have Katherine back and everything would be fine. They would disappear off into the sunset and live the life that they should have been able to in 1864.
They opened the tomb and Damon couldn't stomach the idea that Katherine wasn't there. She had escaped and had lived amongst the humans for centuries.
Katherine knew exactly where he was and chose not to go to him. She seemed to find it easy to forget him and leave him behind like he meant absolutely nothing to her.
Damon found himself wanting to tear into something as he entered the Grill that night. He was full of rage and regret which made him a force to be reckoned with.
Then he saw her.
She sat at the bar in a pair of strappy sandals and a short white sundress. Her legs were crossed, her hair cascading down her back as she read from her book on the bartop.
Damon had seen her before, she was a friend of Elena's and attended the high-school with Stefan. He approached her slowly, taking the seat beside her and ordering a drink.
Damon watched her out of the corner of his eye, he breathed in the scent of her perfume and listened to the steady beat of her heart. A simple golden chain hung around her neck with a small cross that dangled above her breasts.
"It's Y/N, right? Elena's friend?" He questioned, holding out a few bills to the bartender as he set a glass of bourbon on the bar in front of him.
The young woman looked up from her book, "Yes, that's me," She said, offering a small smile.
"You have a beautiful smile, Y/N," Damon said, eyes flickering over her face.
Her cheeks flushed as she bowed her head bashfully, "That's a really sweet thing to say, Mister Salvatore. Thank you," She said.
"Jeez, Mister Salvatore was my father. Call me Damon," He smiled.
"Well, thank you, Damon," Y/N amended.
"Of course. A beautiful woman deserves to be complimented," Damon stated, taking a sip of his drink.
Y/N smiled, "What are you drinking?" He asked.
"Oh, just a soda," She replied.
"Another soda for the lady when you have a minute," Damon said, the bartender nodded.
"You don't have to do that, Damon," Y/N said.
"I know. I want to," He said.
"Okay," She nodded.
Damon sat at the bar with her for hours, he intended to compel her, but the charm bracelet around her wrist caught his attention.
"Where did you get that?" He asked, looking down at her wrist.
"Oh, I got it from Elena a few weeks ago," Y/N said, spinning the Vervain charm bracelet around her wrist.
"It's pretty," Damon stated, suddenly irritated when he realized that she couldn't be manipulated as easily as he thought.
"Is everything okay? You seem upset," Y/N questioned hesitantly.
"Do I?" Damon snapped.
Y/N fell silent, stiffening slightly in her seat at his abrupt reply. She startled easily, but she didn't pack up her things and leave like she expected.
"I'm sorry if I offended you, Damon," Y/N said softly.
Her kindness disarmed him, he had lashed out at her for absolutely no reason and she apologized to him. She was like a doe that had wandered into the path of a wolf, completely unaware of the danger that lurked nearby.
He could easily snap her neck right there without breaking a sweat. Y/N had no clue what she was up against, otherwise she wouldn't still be sitting in front of him.
"You didn't offend me. I'm just a little on edge," He stated, taking another sip of his drink.
"I'm a good listener if you want to talk about it," Y/N said, toying with the corner of her book.
He watched her for a moment, "Fine, I talk and you listen. No advice," Damon said.
"Deal," Y/N nodded.
...
Damon had intended to kill her that night, he was going to drain her blood and leave her body out for everyone to see. He was angry and hurt, desperate to feel something other than pain for once.
He could imagine it, pinning her body down and tearing into her flesh with his fangs. Damon wouldn't have been able to compel her so she would scream, but he could break her neck to limit the noise.
The town would have found out quickly.
A local youth who attended the church service every Sunday and volunteered with every second of her free time. Y/N was a person who would be missed, she had never done anything to deserve such a violent death.
The townspeople would have gone looking around for someone to punish. Hopefully they would have been able to take out a few tomb vampires in the process. It was a stupid move, but at that time, he didn't care.
Then he talked to her and everything changed.
Y/N was unreasonably kind and caring, she was naive to the real intentions of people around her and was often taken advantage of. As he spent more time with her, Damon felt like he was responsible for her.
Y/N was blissfully unaware of everything that was going on in Mystic Falls and it was likely to get her killed. He had grown fond of her and hated the idea of losing her because of her own cluelessness.
Damon told her about the existence of vampires, witches and werewolves. She thought he was insane at first, stupidly dismissive of his statement like she never needed to know.
Damon charged at her suddenly, speeding across the room and pinning her to the wall as he hissed in her face. His fangs were exposed and the black veins slithered up his face towards red eyes.
Damon had never seen her look so terrified but he was desperate to show her how easy it would be to lose her life. She was incredibly fragile and she needed to understand it.
Y/N stared up at him panicked eyes, her heart raced and her blood pumped quickly through her veins.
"I have the ability to rip your throat out and drain you dry in minutes. I could snap your bones like toothpicks and so could any other vampire in this town," Damon said.
Y/N looked up at him with glossy eyes, "Why would they do that?" She asked shakily.
"Because they can," He replied, cupping her cheek in his hand, "But I won't let anything happen to you, alright? I promise," Damon stated.
"How can you promise that, Damon?" Y/N questioned, "I-if it's really that bad out there I don't stand a chance," She said quickly, panicked tears rolling down her cheeks.
"Baby, don't be scared. I just wanted you to understand how easy it is for me to lose you, Y/N. You are my everything and I need you to be careful," Damon said, brushing his thumb across her skin.
"If everyone out there is like you, it doesn't matter how careful I am, Damon... I'm going to die," Y/N said shakily.
"No, I won't let it happen. I need you, baby," He said.
Y/N nodded, he pulled her into his arms and held her tightly as she sobbed into his chest. Damon rubbed his hand over her back carefully, keeping her close as she cried.
Damon cared about her and he was selfish with the things he held dear. He wasn't going to let Y/N slip through his fingers easily.
When Damon realized that Katherine had returned to Mystic Falls, he made a decision that could change everything.
It was an insurance policy that basically guaranteed that Y/N would hate him for the rest of her life.
...
Damon started to feed her his blood.
Damon had been slipping Y/N a biological agent that guaranteed her survival, even in the face of death. He added it into her drinks and she drank them without knowing what she was really ingesting. Y/N was a trusting person and he used her nature against her.
Every time he watched her sip on a cup of tea that he had prepared, he felt a pit form in his stomach. Damon never intended to change her into a vampire, but he wouldn't recover if she was killed.
Y/N grimaced, setting her book aside and closing her eyes, "Everything okay?" Damon questioned.
"Yeah, I've just had a crazy headache for the last couple days. Nothing seems to help," She said, opening her eyes and looking up at him.
"Sorry to hear that. Do you want to go lay down? Try to sleep it off?" He questioned, pouring some bourbon into a glass.
"No, I'll be okay. Can you sit with me for a bit though?" Y/N asked, holding her hand out.
He made his way over and took her hand, "Anything for you, my love," Damon smiled. He sat down beside her and pressed a gentle kiss to her knuckles, brushing his thumb across her skin.
"I guess I have to drive you home soon, huh?" He said, she nodded.
"My parents have been wondering where I've been getting off to lately," Y/N said.
"Have you told them about me?" Damon asked, intertwining their fingers as his other arm settled along the top of the couch behind her.
"Not yet, but I'd like to," Y/N replied.
"I'd love to be your controversially older boyfriend," Damon smiled.
Y/N smiled back, leaning in and pressing her lips to his in a gentle kiss. Damon moved his lips against hers, his arm slid down from the back of the couch to wrap around her waist. He pulled her body closer to himself, deepening the kiss as his hand settled on her side.
"Well, isn't that sweet," Someone said.
Y/N pulled away, looking up to find Katherine standing in front of them. Damon stood up quickly, shifting to stand in front of Y/N.
"What are you doing here, Katherine?" Damon questioned.
"I came to see Stefan, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to meet my replacement," Katherine smiled.
"She's not your replacement, Katherine," Damon snapped.
"Did he tell you that he's been hung up on me for almost 150 years? He wouldn't have even come back to Mystic Falls if he wasn't trying to save me," Katherine said.
Damon charged at her, pinning her back against the wall as she stared up at him with that infuriating grin.
"I should kill you right here," He growled.
"Damon, let her go," Y/N said, standing up from the couch.
"Stay back," He snapped.
Y/N stopped a few steps away from them, "Damon, it's okay," She said.
His shoulders relaxed against his will, his body weight easing off of Katherine slightly. She scoffed, pushing him away from her easily and sending his body flying across the room. Damon collided with the wall, crashing into a table before falling to the floor.
Y/N moved towards him and he held up a hand, "Stay there. Don't want you to get hurt," He said, voice strained as he pulled a large wooden splinter from his side.
"Are you okay?" Y/N asked.
Katherine suddenly appeared behind the young human, "He's fine, but you on the other hand," Katherine said.
Dark veins slithered up her face and her eyes turned red, fangs protruding sharply from her gums. Katherine grabbed onto Y/N and buried her fangs into the human's neck. Y/N let out a cry and Damon quickly shot up from his spot on the floor.
Katherine pulled away suddenly, snapping Y/N's neck and dropping her body onto the floor before Damon could get to her.
"NO!" Damon yelled, falling to his knees beside her. He gathered Y/N's body into his arms, holding her close to him as he looked up at Katherine.
"If I didn't hate you before, I hate you now," He snapped, voice wavering as his eyes glossed over with tears.
"Oh, how will I ever recover?" Katherine questioned sarcastically, wiping the blood from her lips.
Damon looked down at Y/N as Katherine made her way out of the house. He prayed to a god he didn't believe in that Y/N wouldn't end up like him, but he couldn't let her go.
Call it selfish or possessive, but he needed her and he was desperate enough to ruin her life. Damon sat on the floor, holding her lifeless body for hours. He was beginning to question if his blood hadn't been enough to bring her back.
Stefan made his way into the house, closing the door behind himself. He froze when he smelled the blood, Stefan made his way into the living room and saw the broken table before he noticed Damon on the floor.
"Damon, what happened?" Stefan asked, rushing over to them.
"Katherine killed her," Damon mumbled, silent tears rolling down his cheeks.
"Damon, I'm so sorry," Stefan said softly, kneeling down on the floor beside them.
"She came to see you, but Y/N was here," Damon said shakily, pulling her body closer to himself.
"I can help you bury her," Stefan offered, hand settling on his brother's shoulder.
Damon shook his head, "She's going to be fine... I've been giving her my blood," Damon said.
"What? Why?" Stefan asked.
"Katherine came back and I couldn't take the risk," Damon stated, resting his chin on the top of her head as he sniffled.
"Damon, did she know?" Stefan asked.
"No, she wouldn't have taken it if she knew," Damon said.
Stefan took a breath, "I-I'm glad that she's going to be okay, but this isn't right, Damon. She should have a say in what happens to her," Stefan said gently.
"I don't care. I don't care what she wanted. I need her here," Damon snapped.

Your boyfriend of two years, Damon, was recently being very controlling and possessive. He started making your decisions for you without bothering to consult you, being unreasonably jealous of any male around you and demanding to be with you at all times, not understanding the healthy concept of giving 'space'.
But this time, it ran deep. He compelled your childhood best friend, Jake, to leave town and forget all about you. You caught him in nick of time otherwise you would've never even known about what happened to him!
Deeply hurt and driven mad with rage, you left the Boarding House for a drive after a few broken objects, wounding words and a heavy heart.
You didn't know how, perhaps you weren't in your right senses, you couldn't hit the brakes and crashed right into a tree. The car flipped over, and your arms twisted at an odd angle. Your limp and now-sore body was fastened with the seat belt, and you couldn't undo it. You were hit badly in the back of your head, and you could feel unbearable burn of a deep gash.
Your senses had perked up under the stillness of the night, and you heard a faint trickle. Then wetness across your back, your head, soon trickling down to your neck. It was a strange fluid --- coppery metallic smell, thick and red with a mud-brownish tinge. It was oddly enticing and familiar. A shiver ran down your spine when you realised it was your blood. Blood, so much blood --- your own. You were losing so much blood, and you could do nothing to stop it. You felt faint and suddenly, the hardest thing in the world was staying conscious.
You were terrified. If you were going to die, then it mustn't be like this. An accident. Your whole life snatched away just because of a mistake. God, you had so many things to do in life. Get a job, travel the world, adopt a cat --- ordinary things but they were your dreams, which now lay shattered. You didn't want your life --- and death --- so unremarkable and ordinary. And while all this time, there was a deep wound of regret in your heart --- perhaps greater than the gash on your head --- to part with Damon.
Sure, he could be such an asshole at times, but you knew that he loves you with all his heart. You didn't want your last words to him be an angry "I hate you". You had never really thought about it, what would be your last words to him. You couldn't breathe at the sheer grief that hit you at the moment. Unable to withstand the blow, you closed your eyes, succumbing to a world of endless darkness, getting lost in your way towards the blue-eyed vampire. And you couldn't do a damn thing about it...
Tumblr media
Anger and frustration clouded Damon's mind. It was all hazy, and he was searching for a light. Ah, there it is! Remorse, regret, fear of having losing her. He knew what he did was wrong, but why couldn't she understand? He loved her so damn much, everything he did was tp protect her.
She lived her constant danger because he loved her, and he knew at times that he should let her go, but he couldn't. He needed her to function, she was his damn sanity, and without her, he lost it.
Suddenly, there was this intense urge to go find her, not to waste a single moment. He'll do anything to have her back, she can't leave him. He knew he was unreasonable, ill-tempered and sometimes too controlling, but he couldn't help himself.
He got behind the steering wheel and let his heart lead the way, for it was with her where it truly lay.
Tumblr media
He was aghast, devastated, even. Finding her like this, so near to death, he suddenly came to his senses. He was crying, he realised. He never cried. But that's what she does to him --- make him into someone he never thought he could be.
"Y/N, no! No, no, no!" he wailed, feeling utterly helpless. He undid your seatbelt and somehow pulled you out of the overturned car. Without wasting a moment, he bit into his wrist and forced his blood into your mouth.
You drank for a moment then turned away, trying to sit up but immediately fell back and the sheer exhaustion and soreness you felt.
He was here. He was here, you realised.
"Oh Damon, I'm so sorry!" you sobbed into his chest. He wrapped his arms tightly around you and you knew he was crying into your shoulder.
You simply let things just be. In that dark night, the feeling of death heavy around you, the two of you embraced a new life. Of promises of forever, of understanding, of accepting --- and it was beautiful.
After what seemed like an eternity, he composed himself, giving you some strength, too. "Let's get you home, yeah?" he whispered and you nodded. He lifted you bridal style in his arms and helped you into his car. You leaned on him, as much as you could and he kissed the top of your head. "I'm so, so sorry..." he began but your shook your head. He understood. Not now.
You drove to the Boarding House in companionable silence. The silence was golden. The silence spoke it all. And all you needed was the silence.
With his help you went inside. The house that was so familiar --- it looked the same --- but it promised something different.
Tumblr media
"You don't know how scared I was today," he whispered as he rubbed your feet.
"Me too... I didn't want to die like that. Not without saying goodbye, though I wonder if I ever will be able to say it-" he silenced you with a kiss. "I won't let anything happen to you. I want you all for myself, I know that's selfish. I am prick and I don't deserve you, but I do love you very much, so much that it's frustrating, and I won't be able to live with myself if something happens to you. I know I make bad decisions, I know I react impulsively, but I do it only for you. I am sorry for today. I had no reason to compel Jake, but I did it anyway because I was insecure. I realised my mistake, I have no reason to be. So, if you have it in you, please forgive me...". Tears were streaming down his face.
You wiped them away and hugged him close.
"I'm hungry," you said, trying to lighten up the atmosphere. It made him laugh. "Pasta?"
"Yes!"
