a somewhat strange tip that i can give you too is to notice how things work around you as well as the environment, like one thing that i usualy do very often is take photos of landscapes, since for example when i want to paint the sky , i can use them as a reference jsksjsk

two things i can mention the first is about being careful with saturating the backgrounds with details((?sometimes it will take you a long time to make them and they won't even be visible in the final drawing😔 and the other thing that i can mention but that is more of a personal taste is that you can leave things in a mess aand what do i mean by that??? well, let the brush strokes be seen, and there be no lineart in the background i feel like that gives a lot of life to a drawing

im still struggling to achieve that because uhhhm sometimes i go over details and saturate my drawings with many things, when i want to go for a simpler path JAJAJAJ since I LOVE how the lines look in the conceptual art or in drawings like that in general jjejej BUT that is up to your personal decision of!!

What do you consider your first fandom? Not necessarily the first one that you created fan work for, but the first one that really gripped you and made you think of alternative stories for the characters outside of the show (or the canon), even if you didn't write them down?

Um, okay, so have you heard of the finale for the Mary Tyler Moore Show? Universally acclaimed, considered one of the best finales in the history of television?

I fuckin’ hated it.

I was a kid and Nick at Nite had aired the series and the finale pissed me off because (warning: spoilers for a TV show older than many of us) the found family broke up. And, yeah, the characters mourned for what they were about to lose and expressed their gratitude for each other, but the found family broke up and they were mostly jobless and crying.

So I wrote a little fix-in on notebook paper from school and that helped me feel better.

I wouldn’t say I was in the fandom — I consider Voyager my first fandom — but that was definitely my first fanwork and it was born of love for characters and my wish that the source material loved them the way I did.

Time for you to tell me why (in detail) you love Octavinelle! :D

Hey friend, thanks for the ask. I love talking about my Octavinelle boys and the dorm itself is pretty fun.

There's lots of reasons I like this specific dorm, and some of them are very emotional for me and others are not that deep haha, so I'll put a cut because I don't think everyone else probably wants to see that all over their dashes hahaha.

Let's start with some of the simpler reasons:

The Little Mermaid being the reference/inspiration for the dorm. I love The Little Mermaid. I had Ariel bedding when I was a little girl. Stuff to do with it or inspired by it makes me happy. I used to play "mermaids" at the pool with my friends, and anything to do with mermaids made me happy too.

Purple being the main colour for the dorm. I love purple. I love every shade, but I especially love the lighter purples like lavender. It makes my brain very happy.

The twistunes music for book 3. I love that kind of jazz music. It makes my brain very happy.

The mafia aesthetic of Azul and the twins. Mafia aesthetics make me happy. I've been to the MOB museum in Vegas and I like learning about mafia. (90% of the reason I like the anime Baccano is because it involves mafia families). Organized crime is just interesting to me, and I love the way things are not always what they seem on the surface. It makes the brain happy.

Then there's the characters themselves. This is where my reasons get a bit more in-depth:

Floyd. Floyd is my favourite of the trio. He's fun, he's chaotic, and he would bite me if he wanted to. Idk I like strong and chaotic characters that like to do things just for fun. 10/10 would let him bite me. I like how despite him coming across as flippant and flaky, he is very loyal to Azul and Jade. Make no mistake, he does not always listen to them, but he is loyal to them. He's a bit of a wildcard and that makes him fun but it also keeps things from getting predictable with him. If there's one thing you can count with Floyd, it's that you can't really predict what he's going to do. It keeps a person on their toes and that's fun. I wish I could be more like Floyd and do things I want just because I want to, so when I'm feeling nervous about doing what I want I try to think of him.

Jade. I like Jade's character a lot too. He reminds me a lot of Sebastian from Black Butler, which is a character type I like. I think what's fun about Jade is that everyone thinks he's the "more reasonable" twin, but if it comes down to it I'd rather piss of Floyd than Jade. Floyd is a lot more straightforward in his actions and there's a chance he'll get bored eventually of tormenting you. Jade holds onto things and plans and plots and can be very vindictive. I love that for him. I also just really love how cute he gets when he's excited about nature. It's adorable. Would also let him bite me. I like to channel his calm exterior when I'm mad but have to deal politely with a jerk. It makes me feel powerful even if I have to swallow my pride and apologize for the sake of smoothing things over.

Azul. So, Azul actually took me a little bit to warm up to. I needed to get to know his character pretty thoroughly before I really did. I like how much he loves the Monstro Lounge. I think it's really sweet that he puts so much effort and time into it; it's clear he really enjoys running it and I think that makes him very relatable. I also like how he hates flying and prefers to do mental work rather than physical work. I especially loved the way he used his Unique Magic in the Glorious Masquerade event; it was an interesting way to use deal-making as a form of combat and I thought that was fun. Aside from Jamil, Azul is probably the other Twisted Wonderland character I relate to the most. He's less inclined toward the physical things, as am I. He was chubby as a child, and so was I. I still am fat. And he got bullied for it. I was bullied a lot as a child and part of that was definitely due to my weight and body. I felt isolated a lot and I only had a few friends that I actually trusted. His perfectionism is another thing I relate to. In high school, I legitimately thought if I did not achieve an average of 90% or higher in all the subjects (expect PE) that I would drop dead. Like just, spontaneously. I was in the hardest version we had physically available at our school for each core subject, and I remember my dad actually being upset that, despite taking both Chem 30 and Bio 30 and Calculus, I wasn't also doing Physics 30. I only needed 2 sciences for the programs I wanted to get into. He just wanted me to take physics as well because I finished Physics 20 with a 94% and he thought I didn't really need a spare period in school. Because I didn't have enough going on. This was on top of doing music festival performances, music exams, music lessons and practice (for fuck's sake, I took three years of piano theory with my other piano lessons. I was *paying* someone to give me extra fucking homework and for what???? so dad could brag about me? it didn't teach me how to play the songs I really wanted to play. and I don't even have a piano to practice on now or play on for fun), volunteering in the church, working a part-time job, applying to scholarships, and helping my mother take care of my younger siblings. I know the exact fear of not being perfect when you think you have to be and I remember how much I wanted to make it all stop. So, when it comes to Azul, I just really want to hug him and tell him he's good enough and that it's all ok.

And yeah, that's pretty much why I like Octavinelle so much.

7 - Why do they join their clubs?

Emil arguably creates the club, even though it's an unofficial club. Essentially, Emil, Jade, Jamil, Trey, and Ruggie all get together like once or twice a month late at night to cook and share meals for each other. After Trey invited him the first time, he realized he never felt more at home and never felt closer to any of his friends than he did in that moment. So in the very friendly and earnest way that he does, he insisted on taking on the prep work if the other four boys agreed to join in- to which they did. If it weren't for these events, his literally wouldn't have his romantic partner or his queer platonic partner.

Oisín... isn't really in any clubs I don't think? They probably should be but that hasn't exactly been on the forefront of my brain in considerations... and frankly, whenever I ask what club they wanna join, they just look at me like -_(ッ)_-

Kingsley honestly gets convinced by Jack to join the Track and Field club. Kingsley is convinced its great practice for keeping up his skills. But.... let's be real. This boy uses physical activity to let out his feelings. It's like... the only healthy coping mechanism he has.

11- Is there a character your OC sees as a sibling?

For Oisín? It's Ortho. I know you already know this, but 100% it's Ortho. Oisín dotes upon and loves Ortho so so much and often tries to step in to fill sibling like needs that often get left unmet. They don't want to replace Idia- not at all! But it literally breaks his heart to see Ortho not be able to experience all that he wants to. There's more here than that, but that's Book 6 spoilers.

Emil definitely ends up having Rook and Riddle take on older sibling like roles, and in some capacity though not a canon character, but in that way that trans people often take each other under their wings and build community, Emil does that with your boy Copper. Over time, Emil begins to see Copper like a younger sibling at some point.

Kingsley... that... that requires him to have good relationships with other students. ^^;

No, but I can totally see how you'd get that idea, the way I talk is confusing. I'm surprised you're the first to ask honestly.

You know how some people waste resources with like, Character AI chat bots? It's like that, but the computer is my brain.

I'll get really hyper focused on a character and build up their personality, reactions, likes and dislikes and such in my head until they're basically fully functionally in there and running on their own, talking to me or other characters bounding around up there.

For most it's temporary, they'll run for a month or so straight and then shut off to rest. They're still THERE, just not on.

But for Koro-Sensei he's basically always on. I'm constantly running his programming because I like seeing how he reacts to things, mostly media I'm into at the moment, and I feel very confident about how I visualize him.

So no, not a system, no alters, it's just me and my wildly overactive imaginary Koro-Sensei program against the world.

Ah... Well, not really, no. In recent past, I had a beloved that was quite dear to me, though. There's a line between what I can work with and what breaks the camel's back, and unfortunately they crossed it.

It's a bit of a process to let go of all the love I held for them, heh! Still, the position of my beloved is now entirely unoccupied.

💓 What type of yandere would you consider yourself?

Ooh, that's an interesting one. I suppose it depends on the classification that we're going with, hmm. I've used the ones you have posted about here, here, and here to answer.

When it comes to types: I find there's quite a number of them I relate to, but if I had to choose the top five that describe me, I'd pick dependent, obsessive, protective, worshipping, and stalker.

When it comes to the town list:

- Possessive type: enclosed world, clingy, sampling type, collector, observing.

- Shackling type: dependency.

- Intoxicated type: forthright (somewhat)

- Denpa Delusional type: self contained (somewhat), sociopath (somewhat).

- Love-Hate type: I love how pitiful you are.

For this section, I would have to admit that other variants could apply, depending on the darling (which is also the case for the ones I said somewhat for, though those were a tiny bit more applicable). Other than that, I picked the ones that have been more... Constant.

When it comes to the mbti: XAXL, though I'd say I'm leaning towards XAML (cruel/reverent, aware, manipulative, mostly lenient)

Even so, it boils down to what you might observe from the previous answer. No matter what I must do, how much I have to dirty my hands, I'll get that perfect life with my beloved, where we can be together as long as I say, and there's no sort of nuisances or distractions in my darling's mind.

I'll keep them safe and loved, so why would they need anything else? Even if they may still lead a life (though not exactly unrestricted), at the end of the day it'll always come back to us.

In The Monster, Raffi was supposed to try to help Cris after Vandermeer died in 9/11. But any which way I tried to include it, the story sunk under the weight of Cris’ pain — and, in canon, Cris’ recovery from grief doesn’t truly begin after the events of the story … so I regretfully left it out.

Also, in Youthful Exuberance, I wanted to do more (so much more) with La’an as family-in-law to Chris’ mom, but ended up cutting the references and exchanges because they didn’t flow properly. (*lovingly smacks roof of story* This baby can fit so much surrogate family for La’an in it. *lovingly smacks own head* But not Chris’ mom because she didn’t fit.)

I do think anything cut is for the benefit of the story (usually), so that’s something.

oh that's definitely something that has to do with hope and overcoming struggles/your darkest days. first character that came to mind was maybe finrod? but then i thought of that dialogue between maglor and maedhros about the silmaril/earendil in the sky so... maybe that's a story about Maglor and Earendil? I remember having an idea for a fic like that - it was supposed to be series of short drabbles about their relationship evolving

of course earendil resents maglor, but, really, seeing your enemy lamenting on the seashore while being a pathetic hermit gets boring after a few centuries. besides, maglor did raise elrond and elros, and they loved him.

so one night, when Vingilot approaches Middle-Earth, he notices maglor passed out on the beach, and, well. what do you do when your enemy (?) is passed out on a beach? that's right. for some reason you direct your space boat to the sea. your foot technically doesn't touch middle-earth, but you can still get pretty close to wake up the kinslayer and tell him to sleep further from the waves before tide approaches

i have no idea what happens in between, but i think it would be nice if by the end (maybe somewhere in 3rd age?) earendil took maglor to valinor

I know you don't work for the network. Most people in the world don't. But many many times, people come from outside places to make shows.

And it could be that this prequel is successful, and they decide to make more, so develop an idea and pitch it to people!

It'll succeed. Anything with the NCIS name attached to it succeeds (only thing that didn't was that Red Team idea, but that was just a backdoor pilot). I just worry that Linda might not live long enough to do such a prequel if it's ever made. (all these old people dying each day makes me paranoid).
