I also agree that you should stick to your plans! It‘s YOUR story. And if you think it should be included and is necessary for the plot, character development etc. and the final conclusion of the story you should write it. Cause at the end of the day (I know it sounds cliche) you‘re writing for yourself. You‘re writing out your daydreams and should be able to do so how you want and originally planned it. We‘re here for the ride and are happy that you share your characters with us. And I think as long as you tag it accordingly it should be fine. People should deside on their own whether they want to ride along or pass. Don‘t let that disencourage you!🤗🥰
