The impending meeting was coming up at the end of the week. Your agent, Jae, wouldn't take no for an answer and immediately responded to the Netflix executive, saying youâd take the meeting. If the meeting was anywhere else in the world, you wouldnât hesitate, but the fact that you had to fly out to LA for this made you feel reluctant.
And when everyone heard youâd be in LA, the only topic of conversation was if you were planning to see he-who-must-not-be-named.
"Will you tell Jungkook you're in town?" Hyunie asked as she cut through her French toast covered in Nutella and strawberries. Taehyung leaned over to take a bite from her fork, but she refused to let him have any.
Yoongi sat, wavering his fingers together. âOhâthe plot thickens. Dun, dun, dun.â
Heâd become too comfortable knowing your business and complained that he knew too much for his own good. He was cool with you, but his lifestyle was too chill to mesh with everyone elseâs dramatics, including yours. Though he works in the movie business, that didnât mean he wanted his life to be like a goddamn drama.
âWouldnât that be weird? To meet up with an ex?â you asked with reluctance as you searched your friendâs faces for any words of advice.
Itâd be nice to catch up, you thought, but what if old feelings resurface? Then what? Youâd be screwed and have to start from square one again. You had gotten too far to return to the sad, pathetic person you once were.
Hyunie interjects, âOf course not! Youâre friends too.â
You deadpanned. âI havenât spoken to him in over a yearâand Iâd hardly call us friends.â
Honestly, could you even go back to being just friends? How were you supposed to be friends with your ex-slash-best-friends-little-brother? How can anyone return to being just friends after being with someone like Jeon Jungkook? You could hardly keep your friends now and then to add an ex as a friend? It sounded like a recipe for disaster.
With a mouth full of strawberries, Tae threw in his two cents. âJust go see him. Whatâs the worst that can happen? You gonna sleep with him?â He smirked and grabbed another bright red strawberry. This conversation amused him for days, making smart comments and occasionally alluding to what the two of you used to have.
âReally, Tae?â You rolled your eyes, sipping your coffee. Youâd like to think you had some kind of self-control.
âWhat? Iâm just being realistic here. The two of you probably have all that pent-up sexual frustration, and who knowsâyou might not be able to contain yourselves if youâre in the same room.â Taehyung wiggled his eyebrows and then bit down his bottom lip, thrusting and slapping the air while in his seat. Hyunie elbowed him in his rib, causing him to groan at the pain. She whispered something indistinct to him, and the two bickered quietly.
You turned to Yoongi. He was always wise and had the right answers. âWhat should I do?â
You interrupted him just as he was about to sip his coffee. His lips thinned, and he stared blankly at you. âWhy are you asking me?â
âBecause youâre the most unbiased person here, and you donât know Jungkook like we do.â
Yoongi shrugged. âI donât know. Do whatever you want. If you want to see him, go see him. If you donât, then donât. Itâs as simple as that.â
Everyone turned their attention to you, wondering how youâd respond. It wasn't as simple as Yoongi had said. The weight of your previous relationship with Jungkook wasnât one where you could simply put it behind you and pretend like you could be friends again. There was too much history, too much hurtâjust too much of everything. You tried to convince yourself for months that there were no more feelings.
And you had made so much progress, minus being upset when you heard he was in townâbut regardless, you had moved on, and seeing Jungkook again could set you back a few steps.
Yoongi set down his knife and fork and turned to you. âYouâre a big girl, and youâve worked through a lot of things, and if you donât think you can handle seeing him again, then donât put yourself in that situation. I'm sure heâd understand.â
âOrâorâyou could just fucââ
Hyunie covered Taehyungâs mouth, muffling the rest of his sentence. âDonât listen to my crazy husband. Do what you think is best for you, okay?â
After brunch with the crazy lovebirds, you sat in Yoongiâs car, staring aimlessly out the window, and said nothing the entire car ride.
As he pulled up to your apartment complex, you needed to ask him again. âTell me the truth. What would you do in my position?â
He sighed, and his shoulders slumped. He knew you needed reassurance, but honestly, there was no right answer for this situation.
âWell, considering that Iâve gotten to know you over this past year, I'd say that itâs gonna eat at you day and night if you donât reach out to him. Youâll wonder, âwhat couldâve beenâ or âwhat if I did X, Y, and Z?â Youâre good at compartmentalizing, but I have a feeling ten years down the line, youâre gonna be upset at yourself. So, I donât know, as I said earlier if you want to see him, go see him. If you donât, then donât. Whatever you choose will be the right decision.â
But what was the right decision? You thought of all the possible scenarios that could play out. What if you call to meet up, and he doesnât want to? Or what if you meet up and itâs awkward? Or what if you meet up and old feelings resurface?
You were thankful for Yoongi and glad he could always be honest with you. With his advice in consideration, along with everyone elseâs minus Kim Taehyungâs, you pondered your next move as you tossed and turned in bed.
Should you try and meet up with Jungkook? But you were doing so well. You had deleted his number, photos, and texts, and if you wanted his new number, youâd have to ask Yuna, and you wouldnât hear the end of it from her if you did.
Maybe itâd be easier to just not try to see him. You were sure he was doing well, living in LA, doing whatever he was doing, seeing whomever he wanted. You just didnât want to return to feeling insecure and vulnerable, and you had worked so hard to be where you are today. Maybe itâd be better if you didnât tell him you were in town.
A non-stop flight from Seoul to LA was close to eleven hours, but you wished it was longer. The lower the flight time, the higher your anxiety rises. Los Angeles was a big city, and there was no way youâd bump into Jungkook, right? Thatâs a ridiculous thought to have. Youâd have a higher chance of bumping into a celebrity than your ex. You were just psyching yourself out at this point, and there was no need to because you decided not to tell him youâd be in town.
After eleven hours on a flight and only six hours of sleep, you hoped youâd bump into no one. Your swollen ankles and puffy eyes were horrendous for anyone to see. But here you wereâin Los Angeles, where many dreams came to fruition or never saw the light of day, and you were hoping for the latter, whatever that dream may be. You were curious about what Netflix had to offer and if it would require you to move here. Though, you didnât want to get ahead of yourself, thinking about the what-ifs because nothing was set in stone.
Being a huge corporation, Netflix paid for everythingâthe flight, hotel, and transportation. Not too shabby, especially since they were trying to woo you into whatever job this was. They booked a corner suite at the Conrad Los Angeles, overlooking the city's skyline. The hustle and bustle of city life were similar but different from Seoul and could possibly be a place where youâd have to get used to.
The luxe Mercedes Benz E-Class you were sitting in pulled up behind the slew of cars from other hotel guests. This felt too fancy from anything you were used to, but you werenât complaining.
You bid your driver farewell and thanked them as he pulled your luggage from the trunk and set it beside you. Just as you grabbed the handle, a driver behind you honked, gesturing for you to move out of the way. You jumped back, your heart racing as the loud horn continued in short outbursts until you stepped onto the hotelâs sidewalk.
God, this city sucks already, you thought, and you hadnât even been here for that long, either. Brushing off the awful interaction, you breathed a big breath, ready to take on whatever this trip had in store for you.
âMiss? Iâll need a form of ID and a credit card to put on file.â
You handed what the front desk receptionist needed from you. Now, you understood all the buzz and why this was the hot spot. The hotel was gorgeous and a great place to hang out, even if you werenât a guest.
As the receptionist input your information, your eyes scanned the lobby, taking everything in. A rowdy group of men exited one of the hotel restaurants, entering the lobby. You noticed a man in a monochromatic cream-colored outfit. You appreciate a man who was put together.
After catching a glimpse of him, you couldâve sworn your eyes were deceiving you. No, it wasnât him. You were seeing things, werenât you?
This city was far too big for you to end up at the same hotel as your ex-boyfriend, right? Destiny was definitely being a prude and playing tricks on you.
âHereâs your ID and card back. Youâre located on the 16th floor, room 1613.â
âThank you.â
When you grabbed your ID, card, and luggage, you turned around to ensure you were imagining things. The group of men had disappeared and was nowhere to be found. But you shouldnât be looking for Jungkook anyway. You decided not to tell him you were in town. Wouldnât you look pathetic going back on your word?
But instead of going directly to your room, you might have âtaken the long route,â cruising through the hotelâjust to see what they had to offer. Though, who were you kidding? That person definitely looked like Jungkook! Except he had longer hair, and you hadnât seen any recent photos of Jungkook, so you had no idea if he had shaved his head or had long, glorious hair like Rapunzel.
You wouldâve lurked longer, but now you felt super creepy and stalker-ish, and your large rollaway luggage wasnât helping either. Maybe it was time to give up; you had been looking longer than you shouldâve.
If there was one thing that could possibly make up for the shitty interaction from the furious man honking away like there was no tomorrowâit was the view. The city skyline and clear blue skies with only a few scattered marshmallow-type clouds floating around.
The room was too big for just one person, and you werenât sure what to do with yourself to kill time before your big meeting. So, you quickly freshen up to roam around the five-star hotel. You had nothing better to do, save for the fact that you needed to find that guy again, just to make sure it wasnât Jungkook.
And as you expected, this hotel was packed with people. The restaurant's decor and view were stunning, to say the least. You didnât want to keep going back and forth between the various choices of restaurants, so you stuck with the first place you saw, Agua Viva.
A small commotion turned your head; your eyes focused on it for a split second before returning your attention to the host. You cleared your throat, âIâm sorry. Yes, a seat at the bar is great. Thank you.â
You scanned the drink menu, pondering the various choices before you. Alcohol or no alcoholâsuch a hard decision. Well, considering you were going to an important meeting, it was probably best not to be tipsy, or it could calm your nerves.
âHello, miss. Whatâll you have?â
It was a toss-up between the Tornup Tiki Punch or Flamingo Shuttle. What silly names they were.
âIâll have a Flamingo Shuttle, please.â
Non-alcoholic it is.
âOne Flamingo Shuttle coming right up.â
You tapped on the square napkin before you, swiveling your chair back and forth, taking in the surroundings of light laughter and chatter, before returning your attention to the bartender making your drink.
In a city of 3.8 million people, it was stupid to think you had seen Jungkook. Maybe you just wanted it to be him and desperately tried to speak it into existence. You probably had a better chance of bumping into a Kardashian than Jeon Jungkook.
âIs this seat taken?â
You closed your eyes and took a deep breath before turning around to confirm your suspicions about the familiar voice.
Itâs like time stood still; everything and everyone quieted down, and it was only you and him. He was like a stranger from a different lifetime staring back at you, but everything you felt while with him came rushing back like a flood.
âJungkook.â His name rolled off your lips in a familiar way you couldnât explain. It had such a hold on you, pulling you right back like a lovesick puppy.
âNoona,â he said with his big brown, doe eyes crinkling in the corner, along with a bunny smile.
The one word made you clench around nothing, but itâs just a wordâwhatâs wrong with you? Honestly, woman.
âIs this seat taken?â He repeated, making you come back to reality.
âNo, itâs yours if youâd like.â
You watched his every move. His hand held your stool, and his thumb lightly brushed against your back as he sat down. Immediately, you straighten your posture in case of any other accidental touches.
Jungkook crossed his arms on the counter, turning to you. The both of you smiled awkwardly, waiting for someone to say something.
âI thought I saw you,â the both of you said in unison and chuckled after.
âItâs me,â you scrunch your nose, flashing a smile.
Jungkook shook his head, copying your smile. âI thought I was going crazy for a split second. Whaââ he paused to let his mind catch up with his words. âWhat are you doing here?â
âIâm here for a meeting.â
He nodded. âOh. It must be an important meeting if you flew all the way out here.â
You hummed. âYeah, itâs pretty important.â
Should you spare more details? Or just leave it at the bare minimum? You didnât want him to conjure up any ideas as you had been for the last few weeks.
âYour Flamingo Shuttle, miss. Would you like to bill it to your room?â
âYes, please.â If Netflix was paying, you were drinking.
You lightly groaned after taking a sip, not realizing youâd been thirsty after flying all day, or was it Jungkookâs presence making you feel suddenly parched?
âAnything for you, sir?â The bartender asked Jungkook, to which he shook his head no.
âItâs good to see you,â Jungkook said as the bartender left to attend to another guest.
Your crossed leg unintentionally touched his pant leg when you turned toward him. You took your time letting your eyes gaze over this new Jeon Jungkook. His permed hair had grown longer, and a fringe was swept softly across his left eye. The piercing that adorned his eyebrow had disappeared, and the only thing decorating that pretty face was a lip piercing.
âItâs really good to see you too. You look great, by the way. I love the long hair. It really suits you.â You couldnât help but wonder how his hair would feel entangled between your fingers.
He proceeded to touch the ends. âThanks. Youâyou always look great,â he chuckled lightly.
Your heart skipped a beat at the compliment as you suppressed a smile. âThanks. Iâum, do you have time to catch up? If youâre not busy, that is, but if you are, then please feel free to go. I donâtâI donât want to keep you from anything.â
âI have some time,â he said with a twinkle in his eyes and his tiny dimple on display.
Maybe this wouldnât be as bad as you made it in your head. You were overanalyzing nothing. Jungkook seemed happy to see you, even though you thought heâd be running in the other direction, considering he had left on a whim.
âUm, do you work around here?â
âYeah, I was just getting some early drinks with my colleagues.â
Your mind immediately went to Alex, which you fucking hated, but you couldnât help it. Obviously, she wasnât with the group of him and rowdy men, but you assumed they still worked together, and who knew in what kind of capacityâor maybe she had him eating in the palm of her hands again.
You stopped the ongoing conversation in your head. It wasnât good for anyone if this continued.
âThis is a great place. I can see why youâd come here.â He hummed in agreement. âHowâhow are you? Howâs everything?â
Jungkook cleared his throat, interlocking his hands together, light tapping his thumb on the other. âItâs good. Iâmâgood. Work has been going well. I, uhâIâve taken up running along with boxing, but Bamâheâs a handful.â
âBam?â
âYeah! My dog.â
âYou have a dog?â
âHeâs still a pup, but heâs getting so big already.â Jungkook pulled his phone from his back pocket, scrolling to find a photo of Bam. âSee.â He set his phone on the counter, pushing it to you.
âOh, my god. Heâs precious! He has big doe eyes like his dad,â your mouth curved into a smile. âHeâs perfect for you.â
Jungkook cleared his throat, pressing the off button on his phone. âHow are you? Whatâs new?â
His question was so broad you werenât sure where to start. He obviously knew about your meeting but didnât know what it was for. But how much information would you feel comfortable divulging?
âIâm good.â You let out a nervous chuckle. âI just got back from a solo trip, and then this whole LA thing happened, and now Iâm here.â
âAhâright. Yuna told me about your trip. How was it? Did you enjoy yourself?â
You nodded. âIt was great. I practically laid out on the beach most of the time, got some sun in,â you smiled and shrugged. âAnd what about you? I heard you were back in Seoul for a little bit.â
He hummed. âYeah, for my momâs birthday dinner, and I finally got to meet Indie.â
âUgh, I love that little booger,â you chimed in.
âSheâs amazing, and sheâs growing up so fast.â
âRight? She grew up in a blink of an eye.â
Then you realized Jungkook had missed most, if not the entirety, of Indie's first year. Time had passed, and you had also grown and blossomed without your awareness in the midst of it all.
Jungkook beamed a soft smile.
âAre you sure you donât want anything to drink?â you asked again, searching for the bartender.
He shook his head. âIâm good, thanks.â
âPositive?â You gave him a look.
He nodded. âStill trying to take care of me?â
âWellâI am older than you.â
Jungkook chuckled and turned away for a moment. âI, uh, already had some earlier, remember? So, I shouldnât have anymore.â
âWhat? You canât hold your liquor anymore, old man?â you teased.
He scoffed at your lame joke. âAre you taunting me?â
It almost felt like old times when you were just friends, ragging on each other.
You sipped your drink before answering, âYes.â
He flashed a close-lipped smile. âCan I take a rain check?â
You hummed lightly. âYou got it.â
Jungkook rubbed the back of his neck and swiveled in his chair, lightly brushing his knee against yours. âDo you have my new number?â
You bit the inside of your cheek. No, because you recently deleted all his contact, texts, and photos. You shook your head.
He held out his hand, wavering his fingers for your phone. You gave it over without hesitation and watched as he saved his number. âCall me if you need anything or want to get that drink before you leave.â
He handed it back, his fingers softly touching yours. âI should go. I left Bam too long by himself.â
Your heart almost leaped out of your chest and onto the counter, your stomach fluttering with a swarm of butterflies and the bead of sweat on the nape of your neck finally caressing your skin when he touched you. âYeah, sure, of course.â You nervously scratched your temple. âI, uh, I should get going too. I have my meeting soon.â
Jungkook smiled and stood, and you followed suit. He stepped back, straightening his cream-colored jacket and smoothing down his pants. âIâll talk to you soon?â
You werenât sure if he really meant it or if it was just an expression. Either way, you didnât want to put more meaning into it than needed. You smiled and hummed.
He stepped away, waving his hand before walking off into the sea of people who just entered the restaurant.
You half expected him to look back, but he didnât. He was calm, cool, and collected as he confidently walked away, making you think he was over you.
Jungkook sat in his Uber, pinching himself to ensure he wasnât dreamingâthat he really saw you and had a conversation, and it wasnât as awkward as he thought it would be. Unless it was awkward, and he invented a fictitious scenario in his head, misunderstood your body language, and misinterpreted your words.
âSir?â
âOh, uh, sorry. Yes, you can drop me off right here.â Jungkookâs mind raced back and forth, replaying the conversation.
He closed the carâs door, shuffling to the apartment complexâs gate. He punched in the code, rushing to his place to let Bam out.
The 50-pound puppy popped his head up, panting and wagging his tail as he saw his owner. Bam sprung to his feet and dashed over to Jungkook, smelling and licking his palm more than normal.
âI know, Bamie. I know.â
Jungkook smelled different. He mustâve had the faintest smell of you on him.
âCome on, boy. Youâve been waiting for me for too long.â
Bam whined when Jungkookâs mind was on something else and did not notice him. He was scratching Bamâs belly, staring off into space with nothing but you on his mind. Itâs like you had completely taken over him like you were his paradise, and even if he tried to resist, it was probably useless now. He could never escape you.
Should he go back to the hotel? Would that seem too needy? He thought he was trying to get over you, but here you were, right in front of him, practically within reachâno ocean between the two of you. If now wasnât the time, then when?
Was he prepared to fight for you? To be with you again? Was he ready for you to reject him if he wanted more, but you didnât?
He sighed, fighting with himself for his next move. Whatever his decision, he wanted to ensure it was the right one. The real question wasâdid he want to be with you again after all this time?
The answer was yesâit has always been yes. Youâre it. Youâve ruined himâit will always be you.
He was so close to getting in his car and driving back. Every cell in his body was urging him to go and confess his undying loveâthat is, until he remembered he ran away, that he hurt you.
What if you had moved on but didn't want him to know? He had no right to delve into your business anymore. What if you had moved on with that Yoongi guy? He'd heard that guy's name too many times from Yuna and Taehyung for him not to suspect anything was up with the two of you. You looked so happy with Yoongi that one time he saw you. Maybe he was the cause of your euphoria, the person you spent all your time with, the person you dreamed with, shared your hopes withâmaybe you had fully closed the chapter that Jungkook was a part of, and Yoongi was the âtake twoâ of your story.
But could Jungkook just be a foolish dreamer? Thinking he still had a chance with you?
He'd given you his phone number, and the ball was now in your court. If you wanted to, then youâd contact him. Otherwise, perhaps it's best that he's not constantly chasing you. If you still wanted him, then you needed to let him know, and if you didnât, then maybe he could finally try to let you go.
You checked yourself one last time, smoothing out your tailored skirt and matching blazer. You wished you had chosen another pair of heels, but your nude slingbacks were the only things you packed, so itâd have to suffice. With a swipe of your raspberry lip tint, you were now ready to charm whoever this executive was.
The hostess led you through the restaurant to a private dining lounge. A few guests were scattered far and wide while light jazz music and laughter filled your ears. Were all Netflix meetings always this fancy? You had looked up the menu beforehand, and the prices were somewhat reasonable for dinner, but youâd be fine with instant ramen from the convenience store. You could probably order the whole menu if you wanted since you weren't paying.
âMr. Wells will be here shortly,â the hostess smiled, leaving you at the table as you mindlessly fiddled with your thumbs.
You wondered how your name even landed on the desk or email of someone across the ocean. Or could Jae just be a great writing agent, and he just had his connections? Maybe youâd find out during this dinner.
A waitress stopped by the table, bringing glasses of water and a bottle of Champagne.
âOhâI didnât order this.â
âMr. Wells did. He wanted to apologize in advance for his lateness. Heâs held up in traffic at the moment.â The waitress poured the champagne into two tall flutes.
Fifteen minutes went by as you sat waiting for this Netflix exec. He was already leaving a bad taste in your mouth because of his lateness, but itâs not like you had any other plans.
You scanned the room, watching others converse and eat before pulling out your phone. You went to your contacts and scrolled down to Jungkookâs name. It was like deja vu all over againâstaring aimlessly at his name, whether or not to delete it or keep it. Only this time, he would hopefully pick up the call.
You were tempted to text him to see what he was up to. Considering it was a Friday night, he was probably out with friends, maybe Jimin or a girlfriend. Youâd heard from Taehyung that they hung out fairly often. At least he had a friendly face in this city.
A low, husky voice said your name, making you look up from your phone. The man standing before you was not someone you pictured. If you had all the confidence in the world, youâd whistle and holler at this Park Seo Joon look alike.
âIâm Zachary Wells, but just call me Zach.â He grinned as he quickly scanned your face and held out his hand. You stood to shake it.
âItâs nice to finally meet you. Iâve heard so much about you and your work,â Zach said, gesturing for the both of you to sit.
âYou have?â
âWhenever Kenji is in town, youâre all he ever talks about.â
Ah, Kenji. You shouldâve known. Well, you supposed one of your exes was good for something.
Zach grabbed the attention of the waitress. âShould we order dinner? Iâm starving.â
The two of you had a lot in common. Zach was fairly easy to talk to and was a chatterbox. But just like Kenji, Zach was avoiding why he had wanted to meet you in the first place.
The conversation had finally winded down after an hour, and the champagne and water washed down the last of your dinner. And now, only one thing remains.
âSo, youâre probably wondering why I wanted to meet with you.â You hummed. "Well, as you know, we've been expanding Netflix into South Korea, and we're picking up a lot of Korean dramas as demand grows here in the States. As I was talking with Kenji, we thought youâd be perfect for the role of director for creative marketing. I understand you've been a writer for a long time, but I believe you have the potential to help us thrive even more with your market knowledge and insight.â
âWould that mean I wouldnât have to move out here? That I could stay in Seoul?â It was the first thought on your mind.
âWeâd onboard you here in LA for a few months and then get you settled back in Seoul.â
Zachâs offer was too good to be true and to pass up. You didnât have anything else going for you right now. No show and only a half-finished script.
âSo? What do you think?â Zach leaned back in his seat, draping his arm behind you, scanning you from head to toe. He finished the last of his champagne, gesturing for the waitress to bring another one.
Itâs not like you could give him an answer right here, right nowâcoming to live in LA, leaving your life and friends behind. It was a big ask and not a decision youâd take lightly.
Your silence encouraged him to move closer, and his knee knocked into yours. âWhat do I have to do to convince you?â he said, his finger lightly brushing against your knee.
Immediately, you pulled back, pushing his hand away. âIs this how you get everyone to come to work for you?â You scowled, disgusted by his action.
âThis is an opportunity of a lifetime, babe. Donât waste it.â Zach raised his brows, waiting for you to change your mind. He tried to touch you again, but a loud smack echoed throughout the room, making others around you stop and look at the commotion.
âYouâre feisty. I like that.â Zach licked his lips, massaging his cheek.
âYouâre a disgusting pig.â
He scoffed. âOh, am I? Iâm here trying to give you a job, and here you are, being a fucking bitch. I hear you have nothing else lined up for you, right? And I can easily tell everyone in this industry to never give you another job again.â He threatened and then proceeded to move in again.
âIf you touch me again. Iâll fucking scream,â you seethed, your face warm to the touch, smoke fuming from your ears.
Zach rolled his eyes and threw his hands in defeat. âFineâhave it your way. Good luck getting a job in this industry ever again,â he spat out before leaving.
Everyone in the restaurant was looking at you. You cowered, unsure of where to go or what to do. You werenât expecting this turn of events. It was just too good to be true.
This whole trip felt like a bust. You came here expecting to return to Seoul with a job but instead had a creepy interaction with a high-level executive, and they paid for everything, including your flight and hotel. You shivered at the thought of him knowing exactly where you were staying. You were alone in a big city, and the only person you knew was your ex-boyfriend.
You illuminated your phone to check the time, debating whether to call Jungkook. Would it be weird? Would you look desperate if you called? Itâs not like you had any dignity left anyway.
Unlocking your phone, you clicked on Jungkookâs contact; your thumb hovered over the call button. Fuck it, you thought and pressed call.
It rang a few times before Jungkookâs familiar voice was on the other endâit felt like old times.
Hello?
âHey, itâs me.â
Hey. I was hoping youâd call. Are you done with your meeting already?
âYeah, um, would you mind picking me up at the restaurant?â
Yeah! Of course. Text me the address. Iâm coming right now.
Jungkook zipped through the city, and thankfully, there wasnât any heavy traffic to slow him down. He got to the restaurant in less than 20 minutes. He pulled up and saw you waiting on the sidewalk with your arms crossed, trying to keep yourself warm. Parking the car, he ran over to you.
âHeyâare you okay?â he asked with concerned eyes, scanning you from head to toe, ensuring you werenât hurt.
âYeah, can we go?â Your body language was telling Jungkook otherwise.
He opened the door for you, and you quickly got in, fastening your seat belt and breathing a sigh of relief once you lay against the headrest. Jungkook looked over, biting his cheek as he could tell you werenât okayâyour eyes were glassy, and he could see how your mascara smudged. He began to input the address for the hotel, but you stopped him.
âCanâcan we go back to your place?â Jungkook perked up. âI donât want to be alone, if thatâs okay.â
He certainly wasnât going to deny you. âYeah, of course. Thatâs fine with me.â
âAre you sure?â
It probably wasnât fair of you to do this to him.
âYeah, of course. Anything for you.â
âJungkook, you can totally say noââ
He gently placed his hand on top of yours. âHeyâitâs okay. Weâll go to my place.â
You waited a good distance behind Jungkook as he unlocked the door. He took a step but then stepped back and turned to you.
âBam gets excited when new people come over. So, I apologize if heâs a bit wild.â
You smiled, assuring him youâd be okay. You were nervous but psyched to meet him, actuallyâyou hoped he would like you. Considering Jungkook was his owner, Bam would probably be the sweetest pup.
As soon as Jungkook opened the door, the brown-coated Doberman greeted him. He knelt down, rubbing his floppy ears. âI told you I wouldnât be gone long, right, Bamie?â
Jungkook looked at you, beaming a wide smile before returning to his puppy. Bamâs tongue hung out as he panted, looking in your directionâhe really did have big, doe eyes like Jungkook. Maybe they were drawn to each other through lingering starry eyes.
He let go of him, and immediately Bam came to sniff your hand, giving a few licks before looking up at you. âI think he likes you.â
âWhewâI passed Bamâs vibe check,â you joked as you crouched down to cup his face, in which Bam licked your chin. âOhââ You scrunch your eyes closed and giggle at the pup. He really was so sweet.
âBamâhouse,â Jungkook commanded. Bam whined quietly before following his ownerâs order. He pouted the entire stroll to his crate. As he lay down, he took his turtle chew toy into his mouth, making it squeak.
You slipped off your shoes and set down your bag, looking around Jungkookâs apartment. As you expected, it was squeaky clean, with a few photo frames of his mom, Yuna, and Indie. Then you noticed the âRising Starâ award he had displayed on a shelf next to a few other awards he mustâve gotten at his new job. The stark white walls and flooring contrasted against the black and brown hue furniture. You chuckled to yourself when you saw the workout equipment in the cornerâof course; itâs right in his living room.
âIf youâre tired, you can take my bed. Iâll take the couch.â
âOhââ It wasnât your intention to sleep here. You didnât want to be alone after that icky interaction with Zach. âIâm okay. Do you just want to hang out and talk for a little bit?â
Jungkook took a big gulp and cleared his throat. He figured this was the moment of truth. He didnât know what to expect anymoreâit could be good or bad.
âYeah,â he smiled, making his way to the couch, gesturing for you to do the same. âMake yourself at home.â
That was easier said than done. You felt intrusive and feared that you crossed a boundary you shouldnât have.
He watched you sit on the opposite end. And never in a million years did he think youâd be here, sitting with him. Is it possible that you have found some way to forgive him?
Your eyes found his, and the two of you nervously chuckled.
âCan I get you anything? Water? Coffee? Tea?â
You shook your head. You didnât mind just sitting here and being in his presence. It felt so comforting after such a long day of traveling and a shitty meeting.
âHow was your meeting? Did it go well?â
You sighed, positioning your body toward him as you leaned against the couch. You purse your lips before answering him. âThe guy was a bit of a douche. The job sounded like a great opportunity, but I refuse to work with someone who thinks Iâll sleep with them for a job.â
Jungkookâs eyes widened, and he shifted in his seat. âIâm sorry, what?â
You could see Jungkook clenching his fist, but honestly, he had nothing to worry about. You hoped the slap Zach got was more than enough to scare him off.
You held your hands up to calm him down. âI can take care of myself, Jungkook,â you assured him. âHe got a nice slap from me,â you beamed.
He breathed a sigh, relaxing his body into the couch cushion. âIâm sorry the meeting wasnât everything you had hoped for.â
You shrugged. âItâs whatever. Iâm sure something better will come along.â
âIâm sure it will.â
âSo, what were you doing on a Friday night? I hope I wasnât interrupting anything.â You scanned the room, and there was nothing indicating he had company over.
Jungkook pouted, shaking his head. âJust hanging out with Bam.â
âNo girlfriend or anything?â
Jungkook suppressed a smile, but he couldnât help it. Maybe this was your subtle way of asking if he was seeing anyone. âNo. No girlfriend. LA girls arenât really my type.â Because you were, he thought. As hard as he tried to let you go, he just couldnât.
You hummed and then wanted to kick yourself because that question came out of nowhere, but it was the question lingering on your mind ever since he had left. Someone who looked like him wouldâve surely had women lined out the door, ready and willing to date him and bear his children.
âWhat about you? Do you have a boyfriend?â he asked, avoiding your gaze.
âNo. No boyfriend.â
âSo, youâre not seeing that Yoongi guy?â
You licked your lips, the corners of your mouth curving into a smile. âIâm guessing you heard that name from Yuna or Taehyung?â He nodded. âHeâs just a friend and a pain in my ass.â
âAhâgot it.â
âAnd what about Alex? Is she still around?â You couldnât not ask. It was like a giant elephant hanging out in the room with you.
Jungkook figured her name would come up sooner or later. âAlexâs not working for the company anymore. She moved out of the country.â
âGood,â you huffed; if she wasn't near Jungkook, that made you happy.
âYou really hate her, huh?â
âYeah, kind of.â
Jungkook softly chuckled, letting a beat pass. âIâm sorry, by the way.â
âSorry for what?â
âEverything that happened with us.â
âIâm sorry too.â Your lips thinned, your fingers unconsciously picking at your hand.
âWhy are you sorry?â
You appreciated that he didn't point out your flaws, but he wasnât the only one at fault. Neither one of you was perfect. âJungkook, youâre not the only one to blame. I should have communicated my feelings better when we were together.â
He nodded in agreement. âDo you think you could ever forgive me?â
Initially, it was hard to even think about forgiving Jungkook, but as time passed, the pain and hurt subsided. âMm. I forgive you. Do you forgive me?â
âYes,â he chimed in. You chuckled at how fast he answered. âWhat?â He raised his eyebrow.
You shook your head. âNothingââ
âJust say it.â
âI shouldnât.â
âWhy not?â
âBecauseâI justâshouldnât.â You wanted to say you found him cute and endearing and that he forgave others too quickly.
âFine,â he pouted, shifting his leg onto the couch.
Your mouth opens involuntarily, exhaling a yawn from exhaustion. The time difference really fucked you up. Quickly, you covered it with both hands and excused yourself.
âAm I boring you?â Jungkook teased.
âYes, actually. I hadnât realized youâd become so dull,â you quipped, covering another yawn. âSeeâso boring that youâre making me sleepy.â You leaned on your arm against the back cushion.
âOr maybe youâre just becoming an old lady.â
You scoffed. âIâm an old lady? Youâre the one whoâs staying in on a Friday night! Old man.â
âYeah, I had to stay in, just in case an old lady needed me.â Jungkook giggled and looked away before returning to meet your eyes. âIâve missed this.â
âWhat?â
âUs.â
It was this specific moment when you moved into flight mode. You gave a half-smile and shifted your position so your feet touched the ground. You checked your phone for the time. âI should get an Uber and go back to my hotel.â
âI can take you.â
âJungkook, youâve done so much for me already. I donât want you to have to drive back and forth.â
âI donât mindâhonestly.â
You stood up. âI know you donâtâbut I do. Itâs okayâreally.â You unlocked your phone and pulled up the app, determined to call for a car. All of this was becoming too much for you, for your heart. His presence, the giggles, the familiarity of what the two of you used to be.
Jungkook stood and walked over to you, gently pushing away your phone. âWhatâs going on? Tell me the truth.â He could always tell when your mind was working overloadâracing with thought after thought.
Should you tell him why you needed to leave after the two of you had a nice, civil conversation without screaming or yelling? Your therapist did tell you that no one would know how you feel unless you told themâand you just told Jungkook that you should communicate better.
Ugh, goddamnit.Â
Speak now or forever, hold your peace.
You didnât want to revert back to your old waysâbeing anxious, self-conscious, unsure of what you wanted. You sighed. âThe truth?â Jungkook nodded. âThe truth isâI probably shouldnât have called you.â
âWhy?â he asked as his starry eyes gazed deeply into your soul.
âBecauseâI wasâI am scared.â
Jungkook raised his eyebrow, unsure of why youâd be scared. âScared of what?â
âI was scared that if I called you and we talkedâold feelings would resurface, and I donât want to make the same mistakes again.â
âYou still have feelings for me?â
âI think so? IâmâIâm not sure,â you stammered. âThatâs why I didnât call you in the first place when I knew I was coming to LA, and then when I happened to bump into youâwell, I guess what Iâm trying to say is that yes, I still have feelings for you.â
His eyes fell to the floor, and he sucked in his lips, trying not to smile, before looking back at you. âAm I the mistake?â
You shook your head. âYou were never a mistake.â
âThen what mistakes are you referring to?â
You hung your head and sat back down, and Jungkook followed suit. You nibbled on the inside of your cheek, and he looked at you, waiting for an answer.
âI donât know. Meâfalling too fast, building fantasies inside my head, knowing itâll never be real, not saying how I feel, pushing away people who love me. Should I keep going?â
âSo, you didnât want to call me and come here because you were scared all thatâs gonna happen if you talked to me? Is that right?â
It sounded ridiculous, but he hit the nail on the head.
You hummed.
There was the slimmest chance of you bumping into Jungkook while in the same city, but you hadnât fully prepared yourself if you did bump into him. You werenât ready for the unresolved feelings and the smallest flutters of butterflies, your body to warm up to the simplest of accidental touches and soft giggles.
You couldâve just sucked it up, called an Uber, returned to your hotel, and tried to brush off the slimy interaction with the Netflix exec, but instead, you called the one person you knew would bring you comfortâJungkook.
Should you just be completely honest and bare your soul? You were halfway there. Maybe it was time to grow up and just say what the fuck you wanted.
Jungkook was silent and waited to see if you had anything else.
You cleared your throat, thinking it was now or never.
âOur breakup,â you paused to recollect yourself and to stop your lips from quivering so much. You started again, âOur breakupâit really fucked me up. You left without saying goodbye, and after that, I kind of spiraledâdrinking every day, showing up late to set, and ditching our friends. HellâI almost let some random guy fuck me in a bathroom.â
You sighed. âIâm not telling you this to make you feel bad, but I needed to go through all those things to be where I am today. Iâve done a lot of work on myself and had a lot of healing through therapy, a solo trip, and some new friendsâokay, just one new friend, but that's beside the pointâI just donât want to go back to the same person I was before.â
Jungkook opened his mouth to speak, but you stopped him.
âIâm not saying that being here with you again will make me become the person I was beforeâI just want to make better decisions being the new person I am now.â
Finally, hearing how you felt after all this time relieved him. He had waited so long for you to finally share yourself with him.
Jungkookâs mouth moved from side to side, nibbling on his bottom lip before he spoke, âIâm sorry I left without saying goodbye. The weekend in Jeju really fucked me up. So much was happening with Taehyung and Hyunieâs wedding, and then we were on the brink of breaking up while pretending to be happy. My heart and my mind were all over the place. Then I saw you with Yoongi, and that really sent me over the edge because thatâs when I knew I had lost you and could never get you backâno matter how hard I tried, I donât think anything wouldâve worked. SoâI left.â
Your jaw tightened, trying to hold back tears as Jungkook recounted his side of the story. You didnât know he saw you with Yoongi; it mustâve been shortly after you returned from Jeju. And as much as you were hurting, so was he.
Well, since both of you were in apology mode.
âIâm sorry too,â you said. âGrowing up, it was only me. I had to do everything myself because my parents werenât really there for me, and so I always felt like I didnât want to bother others with my burdens. I know itâs not an excuse, but Iâm slowly learning that I donât have to do everything aloneâthat itâs okay to ask for help. So, Iâm sorry I never communicated well and kept things from you.â
He licked his lips, thinking about how new this was all for himâyou baring your feelings. âNo, that makes sense. I get it.â
âYou do?â
âI meanâIâm not perfect either. We both made mistakes, but youâre wrong about one thing.â
You raised your eyebrow. âWhatâs that?â
âYou had me and Yuna, and you know my mom loves you like youâre her own. She might love you more than she loves me,â he said. âAnd you know you can always tell me whatâs going on. Iâll always be here for youâno matter what happens between us.â
You grinned because he was right. You had overlooked the huge part that their family played in your life. You couldnât discount that.
âIf thereâs one thing I truly regret from all of thisâitâs cutting ramen out of my diet since Iâve moved here,â he joked to lighten the mood.
You dramatically gasped, covering your mouth. âYou cut ramen from your diet? Itâs like I donât even know you anymore.â
The two of you giggled.
âI guess weâve both done some growing up, huh?â Jungkook knocked his knee into yours.
âYeah, looks like it.â
âSo, what now?â
You shrugged, unsure of Jungkookâs feelings, but you wanted to express yours. âI donât want to wake up one day and regret not trying again. I want you. I want all of you, but I'm scaredâscared that I'll get hurt and go back to my old ways. Iâve had a lot of healing, and I'm in a good place, but seeing you again, being near you, makes me want to forget everything that has happened and jump in your arms and tear off your clothes.â
Jungkook covered his mouth as he silently chuckled at your confession.
âAre you basking in my misery?â you sneered.
His lips turned into a pout as he shook his head. âNo, I justâthis is what I wanted all along while we were dating.â
âWhat? Me acting like a fool?â
âNoâyou telling me how you feel, tell me how much you want me, to claim me as yours.â
You opened your mouth and made a face. âYou want me to grovel? Get on my knees?â
Jungkook bit his tongue when you got down on your knees in front of him. He had to tell himself and his dick to calm the fuck down because it was not the time and place to be thinking of such naughty things.
You gazed up at him; seeing him squirm was fun. âYou like me on my knees?â you asked, sitting back on your legs.
He cleared his throat, adjusting his sweats as he shifted back on the couch. He thought back to the very first time you sucked him off after having dinner with Yuna and your mom. âIâm sorry. I think you were confessing your love for me. Go on. Iâm all ears.â
You smacked his thigh. âIâmâyouâre ruining this moment!â
âIâm ruining it? Youâre the one who got down on your knees! You know how much I love that,â he mumbled the last of his words.
You turned and cupped your ear toward him. âIâm sorry. I didnât catch that.â
âJustâgo on. You were saying?â He cocked his head to the side, waiting for you.
You huffed, tilting your head back before landing on his sparkly doe eyes and cute little dimple peeking through. âI am stupidly in love with you, Jeon Jungkook, and Iâll do whatever it takes to be with you again.â
Jungkook felt a sense of relief when he heard those words, but there was still a small sliver of fear. âWhat if weâre just fooling ourselves into thinking this will work?â
âThen I guess we can be fools together.â
After baring your soul to Jungkook, you wanted nothing more than to jump into his lap and ride him like an endless merry-go-round, but youâve changed and didnât want to regret anything going forward with him. The two of you needed to take things slow and steady because you wanted to win the race.
The two of you stayed up lateâtalking, drinking beer, and catching each other up on life until the sun came up. It was like no time had passed, and you picked up right where you left off.
Bam had taken a liking to you, staying by your side, following you whenever you got up and moved around. He wouldnât let you out of his sight. He definitely took after Jungkook.
The size of your bladder warranted another trip to the bathroom, and when you returned to where Jungkook and Bam were, you noticed Jungkook in a compromising position.
âWhy are you on one knee? Are you taking a page out of my book?â you teased, not wanting to jump to any conclusions because you both agreed on taking it slow.
Without an answer, he took out something he was hiding behind his back. He held a blue velvet box in the palm of his hand.
Your eyes widened, and your heart raced rapidly because you knew exactly where that box was from. You and Yuna had looked at engagement rings for hours on end when the two of you thought Namjoon was getting ready to propose. You had mentioned it too many times to Jungkook while the two of you were dating. Thereâs no way heâd be proposing, right?
This whole thing with Jungkook was newâwell, not really new, but youâd have to turn him down if he were to ask your hand in marriage. You were definitely not ready because the two of you had just agreed to try this relationship again.
âWhat the fuck is that? It better be a ring pop,â you implored. He slowly shook his head, beaming a smile from ear to ear. You repeated ânoâ under your breath, shaking your head.
âYou donât even know what it is.â
âOhâI know what it is!â
Jungkook leaned over on his knee toward you. âOkay, so tell me.â
âItâsâitâs the ring that I couldnât stop talking about. Why do you have it?â
He giggled at how cute and flustered you had become. âFor once, youâre wrong.â
âIâm never wrong,â you huffed.
He stood, making his way to you, lifting your chin with his index finger. He stared deeply into your eyes. âYou are completely and utterly wrong.â
You pouted and crossed your arms. âProve it.â
Jungkook sighed at how stubborn you were. He opened the blue velvet box, and it was not the ring you had envisioned. âItâs a promise ring.â Because it was the ring that complimented the engagement set.
You visibly gulped, and there was a sense of relief. âA promise ring?â
He nodded. âYou are everything I could ever want and more. Itâs always been you, and thereâs gonna be no one else for me. You are worth walking through hell and back, and considering weâve done that alreadyâIâd do it again if I had to, but please, pleaseâI donât want to do it again,â he pleaded, making you smile. âIf youâll let me, I want to love you and show you Iâm worthy of your love every day for the rest of my life.â
You found yourself grinning from ear to ear, loving his little declaration of love. You moved closer to him, looking at the ring and then at him. âI want to make this rightâus. I was wrong for not fighting for youâfor us, and I donât want to make that mistake again.â
He pulled the ring from the box, grabbed your left hand, and placed the piece of jewelry on your finger. âWeâre in this togetherâyou and me.â
You glanced at the ring, smiling at how pretty it looked on your finger. âYou and me.â
A lot has happened in the last 24 hoursâyou flew to LA, had your meeting, and rekindled your relationship with Jungkook. The last thing wasnât anything you expected, but it became the silver lining to this short trip you were dreading in the first place.
The pair of you couldnât stop smiling and giggling in the elevator up to your hotel roomâmind you, youâd kept your distance from him the entire night, but it was becoming pure and complete utter torture.
Your time in LA was already coming to an end, and everything in you wanted to just leave your life behind and stay, but you had to resist; you had to fight itâat least for now.
âSo,â you trailed off, unsure what to say to him.
âSo,â he repeated, leaning next to your door.
You both smiled and laughed at the tension filling the hallway.
âDo you,â you paused to think through your words, âwant to come in until I have to leave?â This was a good boundary, you thoughtâjust until you had to leave for the airport.
Jungkook licked his lips, flipping his lip ring back and forth with his tongue. His eyes explored your face before landing on your lips. âIâd love to, but we know if I do, then you won't get anything packed, and youâll for sure miss your flight.â
You scoffed, rolling your eyes, and playfully smacked his chest. âI have no idea what youâre alluding to, mister.â
But you fucking knew and wanted it too.
He eliminated the distance between you, slowly caging you against the door. You closed your eyes when he gently caressed your cheek with the pad of his thumb. You had forgotten how much you had missed his touchâyour body was glowing inside, illuminated from the top of your head to the tip of your toes. You wanted nothing but to savor this momentâa moment you thought ceased to exist, a moment you thought only existed in your reveries.
The tiny hairs on your skin, tingling, standing on their end in anticipation of an expected kiss. All this tension was killing you softly.
His other hand snaked around the nape of your neck, pulling you even closer. Your eyes fluttered open, watching his lips part, his breaths slowing down, and you were trying to remember if they were still soft and had the faintest taste of strawberry. And you wanted to gently tug on that silver piece of jewelry and hear him whine because of it.Â
Your stomach somersaults like thereâs a gymnast going for the gold for the floor exercise when his body brushes against yours. The twitch in his black sweats is what really makes you melt and clench around nothing. It's been far too long since you've been touched, and he was the only one that could bring you pleasure.
âCan I kiss you?â His eyes are desperately darting back and forth between yours, waiting for your okay.
âPlease,â you pleaded, almost inaudible if he wasn't so close.
He doesnât go right in like you expected. He took his time, both hands cupping your face and your hands gripping his tiny waist like nothing had ever stopped between the two of you. The tip of his nose nudged yours, his lips lightly feathering across the top of your lipsânot going in just yet. His warm hot breath fans the ever-growing desire within you. It was thrilling for him to rediscover everything he loved about you.
You closed your eyes in excitement, scrunching the bottom of his shirt in your hands. You slightly tugged on it, wanting him to hurry and just fucking kiss you already. You had never known him to be so careful, so gentle.
He giggled at your frustration. âI thought we were taking things slow.â
You deadpanned. âItâs too slow,â you whined, trying to reach for his lips, but he pulled back. âI thought you wanted to kiss me?â
Jungkook flashed a soft smile, his dimple on display. âI do.â
âThen shut up and do it already,â you pouted. You couldn't handle the teasing between you anymore. You wanted to make up for everything lost within the last year. If you had all the time in the world, youâd want him to do anything and everything to you, but that day would have to wait.
He tilted his head and leaned in; his nose nuzzled into the side of your face, and the deep yearning youâd hidden inside was released as his lips finally found yours. Lips on lips delicately caressing and wandering like the two of you were in a drought, in desperate search of food and water.
You gently nipped on his bottom lip, lightly pulling on his ring before kissing the side of his mouth. He grinned, thinking heâd get you back for that, not today but soon. Your hands traced the curves of his body, causing him to press himself further into you. The evident erection in his sweats tells you how much he was enjoying this too.
The kiss became heated and fervent, like an all-consuming fire taking everything in its path. Your hands are placed on his toned chest, holding on for dear life as he presses you against the door, breathing life back into you like your life depends on it.
You pulled back, gasping for air, but he leaned in, wanting just a bit more. Youâre intoxicating, and heâs greedy. Heâs a man starved from your touch and kisses. Thereâs no way heâll ever let you go again. Heâd fight for you until his very last breath.
Your arms drape around his neck, your fingers twirling and tugging at the ends of his long hair. You deepen the kiss, your warm tongue nipping at his mouth, begging for more access to him. Kissing isn't enough anymore. You needed himâall of him. To rediscover his deepest desires, wants, and needs was the only job you wanted right now.
Jungkook withdrew from your kiss. âYou have to pack.â
You took a moment to catch your breath. âOr you can come inside and help me pack.â You moved in again for another kiss, but he resisted.
âI would love that, butâŚâ he trailed off, letting the desire within subside.
Your lips thinned. âBut then we wouldnât be taking it slow, would we?â He nods. âI should pack.â
He leaned in to quickly give you a peck on the lips. âMm, you should.â
Your shoulders slump, and you tilt your head against the door. âBut I donât want to.â
âBut you have to.â You groaned and stomped your feet like baby Indie. âIâll see you soon.â
âNot soon enough.â
bonus (jk pov - hotel)
âSorry, I got here early, but some lady was taking forever to get her luggage,â the driver said as Jungkookâs colleague opened the door.
"You coming?" His colleague asked from inside the car.
"...uh, you go on without me. I left my phone inside. I'll catch an Uber."
His colleague shrugged and shut the door behind him before the car took off. Jungkook stood before the hotel's entrance, unsure whether to enter or just leave.
He thought he saw you while waiting outside the restaurant, but he figured it was just his eyes playing tricks on him. Even if it was really you, he wasn't sure he was ready to face you, let alone know what to say. He abruptly left without explaining his actions. He didn't think when he did it, which was a stupid, rash decision he later regretted. He couldn't bear the heartache of being so close to you.
The plan was to get as far away as possible so he could forget, but the problem was that he couldn't. You were the love of his life (yes, even at the tender age of 25). He had no desire for anyone else. Even when gorgeous women were flinging themselves at him in this new city. He wasn't concerned with them because they weren't you.
Everything made him think of you. From peonies to hot tubs and even bowling. He'd go back and say goodbye if he could. He despised the way things ended.
Before he knew it, his foot had stepped past the sliding glass door, heading in, unsure of where even to begin. He began his search as he walked through the lobby, peering at the reception desk.Â
He noticed a woman standing at the counter. Maybe your hair had grown out. Approaching the woman, he tapped them on the shoulder. "Noona..."
When the woman turned around, Jungkook quickly apologized before returning and going on the hunt for you. You may have already gone to your room, but he wasn't about to give up so easily. He'd be sorry if he missed you by a millisecond. Could his eyes be deceiving him? Maybe he didn't see you just standing there. Maybe he missed you so much that he imagined everything.
He told himself he'd look for ten minutes before giving up and going home. He walked around the lobby, past the reception desk, down the hallway, and even took the elevator up a few floors before returning down.
He was sure the workers thought he was creeping around and wouldn't be surprised if they had called security. He only had a few minutes before calling it quits and heading home. He walked past the restaurant he was just at, then took a few steps back.
What if you had gone to get a drink?
It didn't take long for him to notice you sitting alone at the bar, waving the bartender down to order. His eyes were not deceiving him; he was not insane.
It was you.Â
You were absolutely stunning, he thought. Even after a year apart, youâd become more beautiful than ever. He needed a moment to take you all in because he didnât think heâd ever see you againâhere in LA.
Every heartbeat was like a metronome, keeping in sync with every step he took toward you. He drew a deep breath and closed his eyes as he stood behind you, his mind racing with the right wordsâwhat would he say after a year?
âIs this seat taken?â
Fuckâif he could, heâd punch himself. He couldâve come up with something better.

An Assistant's Capriccio Story Event - Hitaki - Chapter 2

Hitaki: Ah, wait a moment.
(Eh?)
He held my hand and looked at me from close range. I was startled by the beautiful light.
Hitaki: I know there are a lot of things you don't understand, so why don't I accompany you? There's still time.
Rina: Thank, thank you very much. But I'm fine on my own.
Rina: Please leave the gift-giving to me. I will make sure to deliver it for you.
I said cheerfully, feeling nervous at how close we were, and Hitaki-san gave me a gentle smile.
Hitaki: Then I'll leave it to you. I know there will be many things you'll do for the first time, but do your best.
Hitaki: AndâŚâŚ
Our clasped hands were gently pulled together, bringing us even closer to each other.
A cool voice sounded in my ear as I was urged to lean in closer and look in the same direction.
Hitaki: After you finish greeting everyone, please wait here during the filmingâŚ... at the back of the studio.
Hitaki: I told them in advance to prepare chairs, so you'll know when you get there.
Rina: ! Iâm sorry, I even made you arrange my seat.
Hitaki: It's not such a big deal.
He gave me an endlessly gentle smile, and I found myself captivated.
(I should be the one to be more considerateâŚâŚ, but Hitaki-san is way better than me.)
(Instead of just feeling embarrassed, I should at least say thank you properly!)
Rina: Um, thank you very much! Good luck with the filming.
When I called out to him quickly, Hitaki-san smiled softly after a moment's pause.
Hitaki: You're really honest. I like that kind of girls.
As he said this, his lips curved gracefully.
Hitaki: So I can't help but pay attention to youâŚâŚ If we arenât in a studio now, I would be more affectionate with you.
Rina: !?
The voice became more and more sensual, and my body became numb and unable to move.
Seeing me blushing and at a loss for words, Hitaki-san finally moved away a little.
Hitaki: Just kidding. You look a little red. Are you okay?
Rina: âŚâŚPlease don't tease me so much.
Hitaki: Fufu, I get it. I guess that was a little mean.
With those words, Hitaki-san sent me off.
He was kind and refreshing, but if you let your guard down you would easily find yourself at his mercy.
(âŚâŚHitaki-san is an idol, so I'm sure he's used to it.)
Even though I thought so, I was completely captivated by his irresistible charm.
---
Then------
TV Host: Hello everyone! Our guest judge this time is Hitaki-san from Gem Cuddle!
Hitaki: Nice to meet you.
Hitaki-san's appearance at the event brought the audience to its feet.
The performances were divided into two teams, and teamwork would be evaluated in addition to individual ability.
The first team's dance was amazing, with rough movements but clear evidence of hard work, and it really got the crowd excited.
Producer: It's amazing that you've made it this far. What do you think, Hitaki-kun?
Hitaki: Thatâs rightâŚâŚ
Hitaki: Although there are individual differences, the overall level is high.
Hitaki-san analyzed each person in detail and commented with advice.
Hitaki: The group was a little lacking in cohesion, but that will improve with practice.
Hitaki: In addition to aligning your movements, try a different approach-----âŚ
(It's amazing. He can understand so much from just one performanceâŚâŚ And his advice is so logical and easy to understand.)
(The candidates also seem to be listening seriously to Hitaki-san's comments.)
As I watched the scene, enveloped in a warm, euphoric atmosphere, I suddenly felt something was off.
Candidate 1: âŚâŚ
(Huh? Only that girl looking grim on her face?)
One of the candidates on stage was biting her lips and glaring at her feet.
The producer also noticed her behavior.
Producer: You there, whatâs wrong?
Candidate 1: âŚâŚRegarding Hitaki-san's previous comments, I was the only one who was criticized.
Candidate 1: What's so bad about me!?
The place instantly fell silent as she raised her voice and stomped her feet.
Candidate 1: I was so nervous I messed up, but the truth is, I can do betterâŚâŚ Huu, huu!
No one could speak to her as she cried tears of frustration.
(This is a very bad situation. What to doâŚâŚ)
Hitaki: Don't be so pessimistic. Just try again.
Candidate 1: Eh?
She looked up at almost the same time that Hitaki-san stepped onto the stage.
Hitaki: Now, wipe away your tears. Look up at me.
(Hitaki-san?)
Hitaki-san took the candidate's hand and spoke to her gently.
Hitaki: First, let's fix your posture. Raise your head just five more degrees and focus your gaze on that light.
Hitaki: This alone will give you a smooth voice. Now all you have to do is add emotion to it.
Hitaki: Take a deep breathâŚâŚ 1, 2, 3.
When Hitaki-san lightly tapped her back, her singing voice rang out as if it was pushed out.
(! It's completely different than before.)
Hitaki: Yeah, that's great. Keep singing.
Hitaki-san said as he began to sing along with her.
His singing voice, which seemed to support and accompany her, instantly captivated all of us who were there.
(It's so beautifulâŚâŚ, just listening to it fills my heart with joy.)
The tense atmosphere had disappeared without a trace, and in its place was an overwhelming brilliance.
When the song ended, a huge round of applause broke out from everyone.
Producer: Awesome! I'm so impressed!
Hitaki: Thank you. I thought it was a bit of an over-the-top imitation.
Hitaki: I was able to fulfill the producer's request, and I hope it will be helpful.
Hitaki-san smiled and said this, and the candidate next to him bowed deeply.
Candidate 1: Um! I'm so embarrassed. I'm sorry for getting so upset.
Candidate 1: But I feel like I've grasped something with this song. I'll try harder!
Hitaki: Yes, good luck.
(WowâŚâŚ He managed to get the situation under control in a flash. And in such a way.)
While the audience was dazzled with surprise, thanks to Hitaki-san, the filming finished without any problems.
---
After the filming finished without any problems, I ran over to Hitaki-san.
Rina: Hitaki-san, good work!
Hitaki: You too, Kawanaga-san. How was the filming?
Rina: I learned a lot from this. At first, I was moved by Hitaki-san's comments.
Rina: What's more, the improvised songs were wonderful. I couldn't take my eyes off you.
Hitaki: Yes. I think it was certainly entertaining performance for the audience.
Hitaki-san nodded with a smile and then the producer came over.
Producer: Good job, Hitaki-kun. I'm really glad I had you as the guest today!
Producer: If you don't mind, how about we go out for dinner after this? I know a nice restaurant.
Hitaki: Thank you for the invitation. However, I have an early day tomorrow so I'll have to decline today.
Producer: I seeâŚâŚ I guess that can't be helped. Next time we meet, I'd like to have a lively discussion about this industry with you.
Hitaki: Yes, I will. Now, if you'll excuse me.
Following Hitaki-san's example, who bowed with beautiful manners, I also finished my greeting.
And then, the moment I stood next to him as we headed towards the exit.
Hitaki: ____......
(EhâŚâŚ?)
I couldn't believe my ears when I heard the words muttered.
(What did that just now meanâŚâŚ?)
I almost stopped in my tracks, but Hitaki-san just kept going.
I followed him, puzzled.

To the anon who needed to distinguish themselves from the previous one and decided to be nasty with having no background information whatsoever:
Did I hit a nerve on your own shortcomings in fandom? Boo- fucking- hoo. I'm not sorry.
The way I talk to people depends on how people talk to me. How they treat me. If someone assumes I'm a slotmachine for fic and gifs, I will treat them accordingly. Also, you didn't see the other anons, which influenced my tone.
If someone is nice, I'm nice. (You can check it out in my #vtrash answers tag btw, I'm not lying)
With me, you always receive the energy that you sent out. And this one was wack. Three anon asks within a couple minutes of each other and the tone was absolutely NOT okay. It also sounded like this person wanted to start some discourse and I'm not here for that bs.
Let me ask you this: if someone hits their dog over and over and over and one day the dog snaps, who's at fault? The dog for snapping or the owner for abusing it repeatedly? In this equation I'm the dog and I moderately snapped. I didn't even bite, but you make ME responsible? Weird way to out yourself as not being able to understand action and reaction.
Look, the really disgusting person is you, because you think telling someone the truth and giving them a reality check is being mean. Also, did you forget this new feature tumblr has where they can trace back who sent the anon? Not your smartest move.
Either way, I think social media warped your mind and you assume people aren't allowed to be people anymore- aren't allowed to express their emotions. We can't be upset by upsetting things, we can't be mad or angry when people make us angry, can't be sad, cuz god forbid you show any signs of feeling down, then you're crazy and toxic.
No, no, we all have to be these perfect little hollow dolls who never say "fuck" and always stay polite, even when other people are nasty. Upholding a MASK that isn't your true self at all costs. Kinda fucked up and dishonest, if you ask me. Screw you, I don't want to be like that. I've always been kind and quick to give out advice when needed, or words of encouragement to literally everyone who crossed paths with me, but was stabbed in the back multiple times. And for what? Fuck if I know. Was it jealousy all along or were those people just downright evil? I don't fucking know.
But I won't ever be that way. I'm a truthful person and I will always tell people what they need to hear and not what they want to hear. I'm not a fucking coward who hides behind anon.
This anon needed to know that they should put some fucking effort in fandom in order to have people create more đ¤ˇđźââď¸ in this specific case me, but it goes for every other author and artist who's made to feel like an art and fic-slotmachine.
And yeah, I am of the opinion that the Vikings fandom specifically could do with more people reading, commenting, reblogging, sharing creations in order to NOT die.
Wow, what a bad, bad person I am for having such thoughts and saying out loud what basically every creator already knows. How cruel to hold people accountable for their refusal to take part in a fandom they claim to love. It's a fucking team effort to keep a fandom alive, in case you didn't notice, you dunce.
But funnily enough, for the longest time the only people on this team who actively tried to keep the fandom flowing with creations are all the same:
@vikingsbigbang - that's me and @tlkvikings (that was public knowledge btw)
@vikings-archive - surprise, surprise: me
@vikingsevents - also @tlkvikings and I
And of course the Vikings Server on discord that I created and am modding with @tlkvikings as well, to somehow get a cohesive community going.
Why did we never brag about it, you might ask? Why did we never advertise it? Put our name to it for credit? Because we just wanted to get this fandom going without any prejudice. To keep it engaged and running. We didn't want people thanking us specifically. We were happy when people engaged and showered one another with love at events we just gave them the opportunity for. We basically created opportunities for everyone, that's all. And we didn't ask for anything in return. Even after the very same fandom demonized and hated us. Yeah, that sounds like I'm a horrible, awful person, you're right.
But it's so much work, with nothing in return. The occasional "thank you" if we're lucky, but that's it. If only more people would at least engage in those opportunities to create and share, that would be enough, but even those rates have been going down. No one even THINKS of who runs these blogs (like they aren't run by people who can get exhaused, overwhelmed and discouraged) and how much work it is to keep up.
OF COURSE my own blog isn't posting new stuff all the time. Like, wtf do you think I am? A fucking god? Fuck no. I'm not online all the time, I have a life too, you know. It should be obvious that someone who has done so much for the community will get frustrated when people only ever ask for more.
We're basically the backbone of this fandom and in return not so long ago a group of people ran a smear campaign against us (slid into peoples dms and told lies about us, sent disgusting anons, made call-out posts full of lies, tried to doxx another friend of ours FOR OVER A YEAR and I'm still here) while the whole fandom watched and didn't help at all, our art gets stolen, our works ignored and THEN people ask FOR MORE?! And you think it's not an appropriate reaction to give someone a moderate fucking reality check? Be for FUCKING real, you cunt.
I can assume you're in the vikings fandom too, since you said you saw the post due to the tag, so I'm hoping you will see this as well and feel ashamed of yourself for not even using your brain for a fucking second.

I read your fic âParvatiâ, and commented on AO3. Rather than repeat all that here (I mean I could, but why? Time to stretch a little, eh), Inwould like to ask, maybe one, maybe a few, shall we say sensitivity questions.
First of all, the Healer in my name is honest. Iâm an old curmudgeon, been in health care for 50 some years, and a Registered Nurse for 42 of those. People are one of my passions, or I wouldnât have done what I have for so long.
Now the Ask: in my current WiP, I did some research because I wanted an OC who is the daughter of Padma and Parvati Patilâs older brother. Backstory: During Voldemortâs Rise (Marauders generation), he was sent to live with a brother or sister of one of their parents (havenât codified it, could be Dadâs side, could be Mothers). So that he would be safe, and help Kees the family name alive. Does that sound about right?
Second, she knows her Aunts, sheâs been to Britain to visit. In my headcanon for this fic, Padma goes into the Aurors, and Parvati strikes out on her own as an entrepreneur. The characters name is Paradeshee âDesheeâ Patil. Does the diminutive sound right?
And finally, because you helped me understand the pronunciation of Parvatiâs name, do you thinking would work if one of the other American characters hears the âthâ when Paradeshee says her aunts name?
But of backstory for the fic: Ginny and Harry are in Washington DC, heâs attending an international law enforcement conference (with a secret magical track), and sheâs doing research for a book sheâs writing. Their two boys are off to Hogwarts and their daughter will start there later in the year the story is set (2019).
There is a murder of two individuals, one an Auror that works for Harry and is assigned to the Muggle British Embassy security crew; the other is an American sailor, a Hospital Corpsman who is in the wrong place at a bad time. It turns out that the Potters know Special Agent in Charge Gibbs with NCIS, on the scene of the murders because one is active duty Navy.
And much hijinks ensue.
I tried PM, and since weâre just meeting you donât follow me. Quite right. My apologies if the ask is too forward, but I do enjoy your story about Parvati and family, and you do encourage asks.
Hello! Thank you for the ask. I'm really glad you enjoyed my Parvati fic and I am happy you are writing about a character of colour. It's always nice to see the Patil twins and their family represented in fics. That being said, I'd ask that you do as much research as you can before writing. I'd also recommend you check out @writingwithcolor for both resources and advice on how best to approach writing POC characters.
Coming to the name of your character. Please, please, please for the love of god do not name her Paradeshee. This word is a slur in the Tamil language and has casteist connotations. It's also not a name that I've ever heard any Indian woman have. There are plenty of other names you can choose from, just look online! I've linked some resources here, here, and here for you to go through about writing Indian characters in particular.
When writing an Indian character, I'd suggest first picking out which region of India they come from, because everything else, from their food habits, clothing style, traditions etc will be based on the region they come from. For example, if you wrote a character from the state of Tamil Nadu stating that they grew up speaking only the language Telugu, that would be incorrect, as people from Tamil Nadu speak Tamil as their native language. Similarly, with naming, certain names are more common in certain regions, so I'd recommend you double-check that.
About Parvati's name. I'm not quite sure I understand what you mean? Everyone will hear the "th" sound in Parvati's name if it's pronounced that way.
I understand that the name you chose for your OC was an honest mistake, so as long as you fix that in your fic moving forward, it should be okay! The plot of your fic sounds very interesting, and I look forward to seeing it posted! Good luck with all your writing projects. I wish you all the best <3

The reason the rest of Seasons went up is that I figured I'd better just do it before I lost all drive to share ever again and didn't at least complete Seasons for the remaining readers. It's the only thing I've written (outside of fandom) that has gotten much attention. It was nice, and I really appreciate that anyone would read it. But outside of that, I cannot get more than the tiniest handful of people to care about what I write, and it has been that way for years. It's discouraging, I'll be honest. My already-low confidence keeps taking beatings. I used to be more active with fandoms and posting fics, but one fandom/ship soured the experience for me. (Long story short, a lot of that ship's writers were bullied out by much more prominent writers. One of those popular writers mocked content from my fics in vaguetweets every time I posted, and I couldn't keep calling it a coincidence after a while.) I'd hear "you only write manbabies" (yeah more than once) and "you write too much of this" or be told my characterization wasn't realistic. But mostly? It just goes ignored. So I think, "I have to work harder and be better so people will be interested in reading it."
I don't know how other people manage to get word out about their writing. AO3 is great for sharing what I don't plan to publish/what can't be published, but what about what I do want published? I want to be a career author. And I struggle bc I'm dealing with problems that have a hand in worsening each other: financial struggles, living with my shitty parents, and bad health/disabilities. I need something in my life to work out for once. The pressure is on to be successful at something, but I just keep getting older and physically worse. My friend is willing to take me in when they find a place, we hope that's this year, but I can't live off of them, and I can't just sometimes cook and clean when I have spoons to make up for that. I need an income. I want writing to work out. But it just dies on my social media, with very few interactions, if any at all. I had a ton of stuff I wanted to finish for Seasons this month and into October to share with everyone in my excitement. But I'm losing my will to share anything. I only feel foolish when I try. Everything I do only proves my critics right, so it's embarrassing. Why even bother to try? It's been fourteen years of trying to get anything I write seen. I don't plan to stop writing btw, it's the sharing that's so difficult. I've been told countless times to write for myself when I express my despair, and guess what? That's good advice I've been taking this entire time! Who else could I be trying to please at this point? I have no one to please lmao, it's just me doing stuff I wanna do! The reaction to the ending of Seasons has me hesitant to give up on sharing, bc clearly lots of people connected to it in different ways, and that's wonderful. It makes me think sharing isn't so bad! But I just don't know if - at my age and health - if I can keep trying. I have two books I want to self-publish soon, and they feel like they'll just end up like everything else I post over at @mcalhenwrites - 6 notes and 5 of them are my reblogs! (And it's the same across all social media platforms - or it's even worse.) I'm really thankful that sharing Seasons gave me a taste of what it was like to connect with people through my writing, though. I don't think any of the people who commented or sent me asks realize how much it really helped me through this year, but it did. I started to have a little hope that maybe it wasn't a skill issue on my part, at least? ;A; And here's the thing: I don't really hate my writing all that much. I just fear it's got things wrong with it that I can't recognize, and that's what's putting potential readers off. I do believe my hard work shows, but hard work =/= good enough. My style is getting closer to the skill level I dreamed of having. I'm proud of my characters. But what's missing? I know that being a creator of any kind - even professional - is extremely tough, especially right now. I know this is a struggle for a lot of authors, artists, etc. :'( I just... I want to write as a career so I can keep doing more of it. I rarely have the spoons to keep up with anything. Writing is flexible. I love doing it! I just want to explain how I feel and what I'm dealing with, and why I'm so desperate. If you read this, know that it really helps creators to have our work recommended, boosted, etc. Authors matter as much as artists. I've been trying to train myself for the nth time to not be online and talk about my writing in any capacity. It hasn't worked before - I'm always too stupid to commit to giving up - but at what point in 14 years of complete failure with a side of humiliation does one just learn to give up? And to give some further insight into my thinking process: when I uploaded the remaining chapters, I put Seasons in my private collection (which holds 87 of my works out-of-bounds to anyone but me) so I could upload all the chapters without risking annoying my subscribers. Since 11 chapters in one night is a bit much, eh? :') Ugh, idk why tumblr won't let me edit anything or post long stuff. So I'm cutting this short I guess!

I am so sorry for the crap that's been happening to you. You don't deserve it. No one deserves it. But you particularly have never been anything but nice and welcoming and supportive to everyone. Literally everyone, even those who don't deserve it.
The sort of tremendous jealousy that people who send hate anons live with must be unbearable. Imagine spending that much time and energy trying to drag others down instead of simply focusing on your own stuff.
There are far more people here who support you and love you. Ignore the haters. It speaks volumes about their character, and zero about yours that they would engage in this type of harassment and bullying.
They just want the attention. They're desperate for a fraction of the attention that you get just from being a good writer and a decent human. And instead of trying to be those things themselves, they think that targeting you will somehow bring them the attention that they so desperately crave. It's sad really. What they really need is some mental health help. It ain't normal to act like that.
Keep your head up. Same to anyone else out there who's dealing with this. Because it's not you, it's them. People who send hate anonymously are cowards, bullies and unspeakably pathetic.
Hey Nonny,
Before I begin, I want to thank you. While 99% of asks are positive or fun, after a week of getting hate, I begin to dread notifications. So, when I saw this, it really touched me more than you know. That you took the time and energy to write this... I swear, I can't thank you enough.
Still, I almost didn't post this. Why? Because I know how some factions of our fandom work. I could already see the haters saying: "Oh, that's self-sent!" or "Did you see what she posted? She's such a conceited/narcissistic bitch." And trust me... those comments will happen. It becomes easy to second guess everything you say or do here, and, at the end of the day, it's fruitless. Because you never know what will trigger nasty, unstable people. I mean, the most vicious hate I ever got stemmed from apologizing for being behind on asks. (Because that makes sense.) I'm here to have fun. If I want to live in a tinderbox, I'll start accepting more invitations to family reunions (that's not happening! lol).
I appreciate your kind words more than you know, but like many people (especially women), they're not easy to hear. Isn't it awful that we take the bad things people say about us to heart more than the good things? That's why anon hate hurts... but we need to take that power back. Like you said, normal people don't go around trying to hurt others like this. It's pathological. Here's a quote I want everyone to memorize:
"Don't accept criticism from someone you wouldn't go to for advice."
I forget this myself at times... but it's true, and we all need to abide by it. People who send anonymous hate are vile cowards. And would any of us willingly seek advice from someone like that? I wouldn't unless it is to do the opposite. So, in that way, hate anons become fanmail. A terrible person doesn't like me? Well, that's good; I wouldn't want them to. Mission accomplished.
I want us all to remember we're here for fun. I will never understand where all this jealousy and hatred comes from. It's so unnecessary.
I want to thank you again. I wish I could give you a big hug. đ And I want to send a big hug out to others who are dealing with this crap because no one deserves it. đđđ
And remember, it's like 1% of the fandom that creates 99% of the problems. The majority of people here are really good, kind people, like this anon. Thank you again! đ

MASTERLIST SLEEPOVER FUN
Gif not mine
Bucky wouldn't exactly say he was nervous for his date with you. It was just that he didn't do that. He didn't date, it helped with keeping up the hard-ass image he needed for his line of work.
Sure there were a few that he'd given a call back once or twice when he felt a little more lonely than usual. But, when he had thrown a risquĂŠ compliment towards you; the receptionist at a hotel he frequented, and you quipped back with something around the lines of, 'if you're going to talk like that, you should take me to dinner first, Mr. Barnes'. It stunned him.
The beautiful woman that always greeted him with a smile when he'd check in at least once a week, and give him hell without a second thought of who he was when he was late on checking out.
The one he'd go out of his way to shoot a wink or comment on a certain sundress or tight skirt that drove him crazy; maybe even purposely check out late and argue with you about it just to see you aggravated.
Most would've melted into a puddle from the dark haired, blue eyed man smirking at them, or cowarded away when trying to argue with him over something. You had the first few times it'd happened. Then you quickly realized he used that charm on all of the women he'd come in contact with, so you decided to play along.
And you certainly wouldn't let him intimidate you with his much larger stature and cold glares.
Naturally, the stubbornness you portrayed intrigued him, so he offered just what you'd said. To take you to dinner two nights later on a Saturday night that you didn't work.
Bucky had asked both Sam and Steve for advice on what exactly to do on a date, neither offered much help. Steve suggested a nice restaurant and not to jump right at anything. To be a gentleman.
So, he made reservations to a restaurant, had a new dress and heels sent to your work on a night you were there, and hoped he could truly play the gentleman part.
When he saw you leaving your apartment in the velvety red dress that hugged every part of you perfectly and showed just enough leg from the slit up the side, he was sure his heart stopped for a moment.
"Wow, I was right. Red really does suit you." Bucky smirked, causing a blush to paint your cheeks as you tried to walk correctly in the red bottomed heels towards Bucky who was dressed equally as nice.
Expensive looking maroon dress shirt that fit snug around his thick arms, and black pants and shoes to match, chin length hair neatly combed and tucked behind his ears like always.
"Is this the moment that we kiss?" He asked, eyes narrowed slightly as he reached for the doorhandle of the sleek black car.
The blush deepened, burning your face. "I-I think we should go for dinner first." You said, breathing a nervous laugh as you got into the car.
You had felt his denim-blue eyes burning a hole into you since you walked out of your front door.
You hadn't expected this to be the outcome of what you said. You figured he would laugh it off and go about his day, not give you a smirk and actually take you to dinner.
And you really didn't expect the two boxes with brand names etched into them to show up at the front desk the next day.
The drive to the restaurant was comfortably quiet. One of Bucky's gloved hands on the steering wheel, the other on the shifter between the two of you.
You nearly tripped while getting out of the car, Bucky's hand easily catching you as he chuckled lowly. "I, uh, don't wear heels often." You sighed as his hand rested on the small of your back. "I don't date, so this is new to both of us."
You tilted your head up to look at him, raising your eyebrows. "Don't date? Hm." You nodded, looking as he signed a check in book before being led to a table further away from everyone. "I just ruined my chance at that kiss didn't I?"
Looking at the man sat in front of you, you shrugged lightly and smoothed the skirt of the dress. "We'll see."
You knew who Bucky Barnes was. There had been plenty of whispers about it over the three months you'd worked there. That's not what intimidated you and made you nervous.
It was intimidating how attractive he was, a six foot mountain of muscle and hard glares to anyone but you as he looked around throughout the dinner.
A few especially hard ones to the waiter who stared a little too hard at the cleavage that swelled at the top of your dress, followed by a few snappy words.
You were easy to keep conversation with, not asking questions that he would have to avoid for business reasons, wondering more about things like his favorite color.
Bucky hoped he did well with being a gentleman. He tried not to let his gaze wander too long on your chest, or think too hard on how you'd look with you mouth stuffed by his-
"Here's your check, Mr Barnes." The waiter snapped him out of his thoughts, sitting the check in front of him.
You went to get money out of your small purse and Bucky looked at you, shaking his head. "Let me-"
"No." Was all he said, handing the waiter a credit card.
The corner of his lips twitched slightly in a smile. "Keep pouting, it won't work."
The ride back to your apartment was different than the ride to the restaurant. Still a comfortable silence, but instead of his hand being on the shifter, Bucky laid it on your knee.
Like he had at the restaurant, he told you to stay as he got out, opening your door. "Now, about that kiss." He smirked down at you. "Maybe. I don't kiss on the first date, James."
His eyes narrowed and he nodded. "Well, how about a second one then? Next Saturday?" He said, gloved hand reaching up to hold your chin.
You nodded lightly, eyes looking to his plump, pink lips as his tongue swiped across the bottom one.
Your heart rate sped up the closer in he leaned, the sweetest, most gentle kiss placed to your lips before he pulled away again; a devilish smirk tugging at his lips.
"Until next Saturday, sugar."

makeup sessions (karl jacobs x fem reader)
a/n : hi! this is my first tumblr post. i have written stuff on wattpad in the past, but itâs still quite new to me, so please be nice :]] i accept positive critism and advice, as that most definitely will help me grow as a writer!
 Y/n let out something between a squeal and a scream at the same time when she saw Karl's tweet. her face was beat red and her lips couldn't help but curl into the stupidest grin ever.
the tweet read :
hey @) y/nhasursocks wanna do my makeup at my stream today :]]
 it was the simplest tweet, yet it meant so much to the girl. Karl and Y/n were always really good friends, they often streamed minecraft together, but never in a million years did he yet ask her to be in his stream in real life.
 Y/n picked up the phone with trembling hands, already seeing a bunch of likes, comments and retweets to Karl's tweet. before answering, she got curious to know what the people say. cautiously opening the comments section, the girl scanned it through with her eyes. a bunch of "awwwwws" and hearts could be seen, which worsened her already red cheeks.
With her heart thumping hard against her ribs, she started writing her reply :
sounds great! <3
 for a moment Y/n hesitated to press the "reply" button with the "<3" emoticon in the comment, but then she figured she and Karl sent lovey dovey emojis/emoticons in the past to each other anyways, so, she pressed the "reply" button at last.
 in an instant, her reply started gaining more and more likes, comments and retweets. Y/n was never really popular, having her clout was only because of Karl being her friend, so seeing this much attention was weird to her. but she didn't care about that right now. all that Y/n cared about at the moment was the fact that Karl appreciated her enough to actually invite her over.
 a little bit later in the day, Y/n received a private message from Karl, which said :
hey Y/n! I'm really glad you're up to stream together <3 i planned on starting the stream at 4 pm, but you can change the time if you're busy :] here is my address (don't tell anyone! :D) - (random address lol)
 Y/n answered :
 thanks for inviting me bestie!! 4 pm is cool, I'll be there! <33
 she set the phone down, unable to remove the blissful smile from her face. she has never felt this way before - it was really weird, but the constant butterflies in her tummy reminded her that it's a good feeling. taking a few deep breaths, Y/n reminded to herself that all she has to do is to go to Karl's house and have a good time AS FRIENDS - no romantic stuff is needed.
 ~~~~~time skip~~~~~
  Y/n got off from the bus at 15:50, but she still had about 5 minutes to reach Karl's house. in what felt like forever, the girl felt a sting of what was unmistakably fear and guilt - what if she was late? and what if Karl would be annoyed with her for that?
 slowly she broke into a panicky run. passing careless citizens, who all looked at her fear-stricken face curiously, she finally made it to the front door of Karl's home. Y/n pulled out her phone and found the code that she was supposed to enter next the main door. she quickly dialed it, a beep beep beep was heard and she entered. Â
 finally making it to Karl's apartment, Y/n stopped to smooth her hair and straighten her clothes so she doesn't look too shabby. her body seemed to be moving on its own - her finger pressed the doorbell automatically.
 Karl opened the door almost in an instant - he wore a warm smile and before Y/n could stutter a "hello", he pulled the girl into a big welcoming hug.
 "hey Y/n! it's so cool you made it!" Karl exclaimed, still holding her close.
Y/n's head was spinning, she needed more time to process what was happening. but nevertheless, she finally lifted her own arms and hugged the guy. burying her face into his sweater, she inhaled Karl's scent deeply - he smelled something like honey and warm days.
"hello, Karl." she mumbled with a grin on her face.
"come on, do you want to eat something before the stream?" Karl asked, letting go of the girl and taking her hand into his instead, leading Y/n into the house.
"oh no, I'm full. let's get straight to business." she answered, the blissful smile and content blush never leaving her face.
"alrighty! you already know, but we'll have an eventful makeup session, and then I thought maybe play some minecraft so the stream isn't too short?" the guy asked, opening his bedroom door.
"sounds great!"
Karl smiled and went to his computer :
"you ready? I'll start the stream now."
the girl quickly fixed her hair again and gave him thumbs up :
"ready."
Karl started the stream with facecam on and as soon as the chat saw Y/n, it went absolutely wild.
"guys, give her a rest, poor girl just came!" he laughed, drawing her a chair. Y/n thanked quietly and sat, waving to the chat timidly. in the corner of her eye, she saw comments like "she's so adorable" and "look at Karl being a gentleman" in the chat and her cheeks grew more red, but this time from satisfaction.
"well, as you guys know, Y/n agreed to be in my stream today, and since some of you don't really know her, she's a really good friend of mine who also streams and does youtube videos - so go support her!"
from that moment Y/n relaxed more and more with each minute. it was fifteen minutes into the stream when she already felt as if at home.
"Karl, you have a hell lot of lipsticks, where did that come from?"
"uhhhh, I only bought them for the stream today!"
"oh really? why are they all used, then?" Y/n asked giggling and showing them to the stream.
"hey- don't expose me like that!"
"chat, clip it, CLIP IT!"
all was going really well, Y/n was having a really good time with Karl AS FRIENDS. it was really nice. but all hell broke loose when the time to put eyeliner came.
"alright, I have no idea why, but you have four eyeliners."
"they're my sister's."
"haha, yeah, yeah, alright. Which one do you want big man?"
"hmmm, the one in your left hand!"
Y/n set the other eyeliners on the table, quickly glancing at the chat. her cheeks grew very very redâŚ
"Y/N DO THE MEME SIT ON HIS LAP" "SIT ON HIS LAP" "THE MEME, DO THE MEME!!!"
 a/n: if anyone is confused, this is an example of the meme iâm talking about :
the girl tried to act as if she hadn't seen the comments, but Karl was already by her side, reading them with her.
"meme⌠what meme?" he wondered out loud. Y/n got the impression that he was genuinely confused.
'chat, shut the fuck up, please shut the fuck up.' thought Y/n, but of course chat was just being chat.
"SHE SHOULD SIT ON UR LAP" "THERE'S A MEME WHERE A GIRL DOES A GUY'S EYELINER WHILE SITTING ON HIS LAP" "WE'RE NOT FORCING BUT YOU GUYS WOULD LOOK SO CUTE"
Y/n hid her face in her hands, unable to control her blushing. Karl just chuckled sweetly :
"chat, calm down, she's going to die from blushing."
he put on the "please stand by" screen and scooted over Y/n :
"hey, it's fine. we won't do it if you don't want to," Karl then leaned closer and whispered, "I'd be pretty glad if you agreed, though."
Y/n lowered her hands, showing off the big red hue on her cheeks. for a split second Karl's eyes widened - Â she looked really adorable.
"I'd also be glad." the girl said, almost not believing her own words.
Karl's adorable smile came back and he leaned back:
"well then, come here."
Y/n stood up shyly and straddled his legs, grabbing the eyeliner in the process.
"do you want me to turn on the facecam?" Karl asked quietly.
the girl nodded :
"I don't mind."
he turned it on and put his hands onto Y/n's hips. even without looking at it, Y/n knew the chat was blowing up at the moment.
"you guys better subscribe, because we're providing very good fanservice." said Karl jokingly and Y/n laughed. turning to him, she opened the eyeliner and put it next to his eye, only to find him staring at her in an awe. the girl blushed as a strong urge to kiss him kicked in. it looked as if Karl wanted the same thing.
at the precise same time, they both leaned in and pressed their lips together, Y/n putting her hands onto Karl's cheeks to hide the view from the chat. the kiss was very short and with no tongue included - but it was the most sweet kiss Y/n has ever shared with someone. she pulled away, an identical grin to Karl's on her face and hugged him very tight - they almost fell off the chair.
laughing, she continued to do Karl's makeup as if nothing happened and everyone watching the stream wasn't fainting and clipping the kiss. this will be talked about for a long time, but as before, Y/n didn't care about that, and nor did Karl.
a/n : anddddd cut! itâs quite wonky, but i believe itâs pretty swell for my first mcyt fanfic :]] let me know what you think of it and if you have any tips or advice on how to make my future stories more enjoyable! thanks for reading and i hope to see you around <3
boys have cooties â t. holland
pairing: middle school teacher!tom holland x middle school teacher!fem!reader warnings: like two or three curse words, kids, overall it's pretty much fluff. maybe some spelling mistakes. word count: 2k a/n: hi, hello. english isn't my first language, so please be kind. this is the first thing i've written in so long so i'm sorry if this sucks. gif ain't mine, creds to the owner!
"mr holland?" "yes, my friend?" he said, crouching so he could be eye level with little natalie. "do you have a girlfriend?" she asked, her pretty green eyes shining brightly. his mind immediately went to the gorgeous (y/e/c)-eyed girl who owned his heart.
"why do you ask that, friend?" he pulled a chair from the table next to him and sat in front of her. he watched as an adorable frown set on her face, cheeks flushing.
"yesterday i was playing in my room and my sissy was watching a movie with a boy. i wanted to watch tangled so i went to the living room and she was kissing him!" she said, banging her hands on the table as if it was the most scandalous thing she'd ever seen.
"really? and what did you do?" he asked, biting his lips and trying his hardest not to grin at the wholesomeness of it all.
"i screamed, and she was really mean, she told me to go to my room and leave her and her boyfriend alone. do boyfriends and girlfriends make you mean?"
"well, no. a boyfriend or girlfriend is supposed to bring out the best of you. i believe what happened was that maybe she was maybe a bit embarrassed about you seeing them together," he explained as carefully as he could to the six-year-old. he loved teaching little kids, but there were times like this when he had to try to put into simple words something as abstract as the concept of love and relationships. he wouldn't change it for the world, though. there was nothing like seeing the mesmerized expressions on each of their faces when they discovered something new together.
"okay. but i don't think i will ever have a boyfriend. because boys have cooties and germs." she said confidently. he couldn't help the chuckle that escaped from his lips. little natalie pressed her hand against her mouth, giggling as if she'd just said the funniest thing in the world.
"natalie! boys don't have cooties." he tried to stop her from laughing, but her giggles only got louder.
"yes they do!" she continued laughing, only stopped when they heard a knock on the door. you walked in, in all your beautiful glory.
"hey ba-buuuddy," you played it cool when you noticed the small child sitting in front of Tom.
"hi, miss y/l/n!" natalie greeted you cheerfully. you gave them both a bright smile, "can you tell mr. holland that i'm right?"
"she's right," you said immediately, winking at her.
"so you agree that boys have cooties?" tom asked, lifting his eyebrows. you grabbed a chair and sat next to him, and grabbed his hand under the table. he interlocked his fingers with yours, squeezing them.
"duh! obviously!" you nodded, which only made the six-year-old to laugh even louder.
"i told you!" she said, pointing a finger at tom. you looked at him, scrunching your nose as you smiled.
"so does that mean i have cooties?" tom asked, his eyes darting between his young student and you.
"no!"
"yes!" you and natalie said at the same time. while the young girl denied it, you played along and accused your perfect boyfriend of having the childish disease.
tom stared at you with his mouth in a perfect o. the six-year-old's laugh could now be heard from outside of the room.
"i'm offended," tom said as he placed a hand on his chest, you chuckled and winked at him.
you were about to make another snarky comment when the loud bell rang, signaling the end of recess.
"saved by the bell," you said dropping his hand and standing up. tom's students began rushing into the room, surprised to see you there.
"miss y/l/n!" the kids cheered.
while tom preferred the joy of teaching new things to the littlest, you enjoyed the challenge of the eldest. your young age was definitely an advantage you had when it came to teaching. you knew the stress and anxiety that school could cause some of the kids and were always flexible with your assignments and your way of teaching. now on your third year as a teacher, you'd heard kids saying they could not wait until they reached fifth grade so they could have you as their teacher. it was safe to say everyone at school loved you. always kind, always giving the best advice, always having the best snacks.
"oh, my goodness! i am never leaving this classroom, you are the cutest little things in the entire world!" you said as they ran to you and hugged your legs.
"go away y/n, they're my kids," tom said faking hurt when he saw the lovestruck expression on the little ones' faces, but his heart fluttered when he saw how they loved you as much as he did.
"i think they love me more than they love you, tommy-boy," you said, a cheeky grin on your lips. he wanted nothing more than to kiss you senseless. but instead, he gasped, eyes widening as he looked around at the kids, some laughing, some ran to tom and hugged his legs as well, meanwhile the others stayed by your side and held you tighter.
"i've been betrayed, and by my own younglings." he dramatically fell to his knees and all the kids rushed to his side, saying how they loved him as much as they loved you.
"no!"
"we love you too, mr. holland!"
"i like miss y/n better."
"you two are my favorite teachers!" loud screeching filled the room, making you laugh.
"okay, kids. go show mr. holland your love, i've gotta go deal with my own munchkins. it was lovely to see you today, remember to drink water, make good choices and listen to tommy-boy here," you ruffled some heads and high-fived hands as you walked backward toward the door.
"alright everybody, let's thank miss y/l/n for stopping by. say goodbye and settle down," tom switched into teacher mode, and you felt the familiar butterflies fluttering in your stomach when you saw him rolling the sleeves of his shirt up to his elbows. biting your lip, you sent him a small wink as a new wave of voices filled the room.
"bye, miss y/l/n!"
"i love you!"
"come back soon!"
"can i go with you?"
"have a nice day!" you smiled and waved at them. giving tom a small nod and a knowing look, you rushed to your classroom at the end of the hall.
you loved your kids, messy and loud and moody.
when you walked into your room you saw most of them sitting and chatting with their own small cliques, but when they heard the sound of your shoes approaching some of them turned their heads to see you.
immediately, the loud voices filled the room.
"where were you?"
"can we watch a movie?"
"i need to use the restroom!"
"you're late!"
"yes, you can go to the restroom. no, we're not waching a movie today. yes, i know i'm late. i was in mr. holland's classroom visiting my favorite kids in the entire school" you answered, lifting an eyebrow and laughing when you saw their reactions.
"hey!"
"not cool!"
"i like him better anyways"
you continued to laugh as you moved your hands, finally getting them to quiet down.
"that, ladies and gents, was a joke. i was kidding. i wouldn't trade my babies for anything in the world" you said as you sat on your desk, folding your legs underneath you.
"miss y/l/n?" a girl raised her arm, you looked up
"yes, alice?"
"i saw you and mr. holland in the morning, you were holding hands." she said, cheeky grin on her face.
"oooooohhhh, miss y/l/n has a boyfriend!" shouting began again. you tried your hardest to suppress the smile that was threatening to settle on your face. instead you bit your lip hard.
"you woke up and chose violence today, alice," you admitted, making them all laugh. "mr. holland and i are just friends, my babies." you said, knowing how they hated when you called them that. "now, we've already lost too much time, let's get to work. everybody take out your books and-"
-------
at the end of the school day, you stayed behind sorting through papers and planning your classes for next week. when you finished, you put your things away, grabbing some papers you needed to grade and putting them in your bag. a knock on the door grabbed your attention.
"hey, baby," you greeted tom. he walked to you, threw his arm around your neck and pressed a kiss on the side of your temple.
"you ready, darling?" he asked, taking your bag from you with his right hand and grabbing your own with his left one. you nodded, lifting your joined hands and kissing his knuckles. you noticed the way his cheeks flushed pink. and it warmed your heart knowing even the simple gestures still made sparks fly between you two after years of being together.
"yes, mr. holland," you teased, locking the door behind you, interlocking your fingers with his again.
"took me a while to quiet them down after your visit, wouldn't stop talking about you," he squeezed your hand, making you grin.
"oh, you should've heard my kids. alice saw us holding hands in the morning. they think you're my boyfriend." you lifted an eyebrow. letting go of his hand when you reached his range rover. the parking lot was now empty. he opened the door for you, you climbed in the passenger seat as he put your handbag and his own backpack in the backseat.
"really?" he asked, you hummed in response. you moved so you were facing him standing outside. he placed his hands on your thighs, your hands immediately finding his. "if they only knew..." he said, letting go of one of your hands, his fingers traveled to your neck, under the collar of your shirt, and toyed with the delicate gold chain around your skin. he lifted the chain, a sparkly diamond ring sitting there like a charm.
"if they only knew..." you repeated his words, hands traveling to his face, cupping his cheeks. your thumb played with lips and he moved his head to kiss it.
"when do you think we should tell them?" he asked, leaning down, resting his forehead against yours, noses brushing together.
"i don't know. they're gonna lose their shit when they find out," you chuckled, earning one from him as well. "we'll have to tell them before the wedding, though. otherwise, my kids will feel betrayed. they're already mad because i told them i'll be gone for a month."
"but it'll be during the summer holidays," he frowned, a beautiful smile forming on his lips.
"i know, that's what i said. apparently, they still think i live in the school." you shook your head, laughing.
"i can't wait until we have our own little ones," he admitted, hiding his face on your neck, fingers still playing with the ring that he gave you almost a year ago on your two-year anniversary. you smiled, your arms around his waist, pulling him closer.
"me neither, then they'll really lose their shit. can you imagine?" you giggled as you felt his warm breath hit your sensitive skin behind your ear.
"i love you so much." he said, pressing small kisses on your neck, traveling up to your jaw, your cheek, and finally your lips. your thumbs tracing invisible circles on his cheek as his lips met yours.
"i love you, too. so, so much." your hands moved to his hair, fingers running through soft curls. "now, take me home, mr. holland. your fiance is getting hungry." you both chuckled, hands finally letting of eachother, you settled in your seat as he gave your lips a small peck before closing your door.
"how's mcdonald's sound?" he asked when he climbed in the driver's seat, starting the car. like magnets, your hands met halfway and you rested your arms on the console between you two.
"with you, everything sounds perfect." you admitted, meeting his bright brown eyes that seemed to sparkle when he heard the words you spoke. he lifted your joined hands and kissed your knuckles, once, twice. all the way until forever.
MĂĽneskin Europa Plus Interview Translation
Hi everyone, this is a translation for MĂĽneskinâs interview in Russia on 01.09.2021 with the radio station Europa Plus. I translated using just the Italian/Russian translator and of course MĂĽneskinâs answers since I only know Italian, so if you speak Russian and I missed something feel free to tell me <3 This is also my first time translating such a long video so thanks for your patience! :-) You can download the interview here (Thanks @definitelynotdamianoâ for this link!) Tr = Translator
[ ] = My notes
Enjoy! (Under a read more because itâs pretty long)
Tr: We had to meet you, we are also your fans because we were at your event last night. Weâve been in love with you since Eurovision
All: thanks!
Tr: After the event last night we came here this morning without even changingÂ
Vic: Right on *laughs*Â
Tr: Itâs the first time that we [the interviewers] have our makeup like this, itâs unusual [for us], the first question is do you put on your makeup by yourselves or do you have a stylist to do it for you?Â
Thomas: Depends
Vic: When we are working we are fortunate to have a stylist because-
Thomas: Exactly
Vic: -if we were to do it ourselves every morning it would be very badÂ
Thomas: Very very bad yesÂ
Tr: Today your makeup looks very nice. How are you finding Russia? Is it your first time in Russia? Do you like it/not like it?Â
Thomas: Itâs very pretty
Damiano: Yes itâs the first time weâve come
Thomas: We havenât been able to see very much however it seems very prettyÂ
Tr: The Russian audience is very different from other European countries; are you surprised at the amount of fans you have here in Moscow?Â
Damiano: Okay, itâs not so different, itâs very very hot. But yes we were surprised at the quantity of the fans we haveÂ
Tr: How did you ever decide to come to Russia? No one knew, it seemed a bit, as they say in Russian, an âall of a sudden snowâÂ
Damiano: People have been asking us for a long time
Vic: They messaged us to try coming there and therefore we are inevitably here
Tr: You are exactly the type of singers that listen to fans and go where people ask you to go in regards to other countries then?Â
Vic: Yeah if we canÂ
Ethan: AbsolutelyÂ
Tr: [One of the interviewers] is learning Italian and when she hears you speaking Italian she is already happy and jittery (in an excited way) so really you can talk about anything. Anything you want she will be happy.Â
Thomas: GreatÂ
Damiano: PerfectÂ
Tr: After your Eurovision win, has your life changed a lot? Or even before were you pretty famous in your own country [Italy]?
Damiano: No, no weâll say not too much [of a change] however of course in Italy we already had good results. Surely it was a big change from before really just touring around Italy to now going and touring around Europe.
Tr: What objectives did you have for Eurovision, did you go to have a little fun or with the goal of winning for Italy? To, letâs say, defend the honour of your country?Â
Damiano: No, letâs say, both the things but more so to prove to Italy and others we could win with a genre of music thatâs different from the traditional Italian music that is always supported; music thatâs more melodic and light. We wanted to make another side of music in our country.Â
Thomas: Exactly. This type of music isnât very public or wide-spread and weâd like to see it grow obviously Â
Tr: I would like to thank you because every once in a while I listen to as well as share Italian music to impressionable kids and the [traditional Italian] songs are more melancholic and sad and I was missing that âdriveâ that you bring into our lives.
Tr: Itâs been a pleasure especially to watch your press conference after your Eurovision win and in my opinion they should let everyone put their feet up on the table when they are responding to the questions of the journalists. Â
Vic: Thatâs my opinion tooÂ
Damiano: True true trueÂ
Ethan: I agree
Tr: A question for Damiano: as a singer, at times you will have problems with the voice due to stress, if you have these problems how much time do you need to recover? Â
Damiano: Itâs a thing that can happen but I try to prevent it from happening with various techniques that I am happy to follow to do everything [I can] so that it doesnât happenÂ
Vic: Yeah it never happensÂ
Ethan: Damiano is very disciplinedÂ
Tr: Therefore no chocolate or honey?
Damiano: ExactlyÂ
Tr: Why did Ethan say Damiano is disciplined? In what sense did he mean?Â
Ethan: Well, heâs a person that really looks after himself, and if he commits to something he will do it and will see it through to the end
Tr: During concerts you all seem very lively. But in your private lives you all seem very calm, preferring to stay at home with family, not going out too much, in your private lives are you more outgoing or the reverse?
Damiano: The 3 of them [Ethan, Vic, Thomas] are more outgoing in respect to me, I prefer to stay at home.Â
Tr: How were you all welcomed back in Italy after the Eurovision victory? Because the last [Italian Eurovision win] was 1990 if Iâm not wrong.
Ethan: Full of journalists!Â
Vic and Thomas: Good!Â
Vic: Almost like a soccer team welcome!
Ethan: In short, when we returned after the victory to our country we celebrated with our families because we hadnât seen them in a whileÂ
Tr: If Iâve understood well, you will do a world tour and therefore you still have little time to see family
Vic: Exactly. In general, we have little time to relax *laughs*Â
Tr: And maybe then you have a little time to write other songs too
Damiano: No those are-
Thomas: No, no we find the right moments for them, obviously we have moments of inspiration with whatever we are doing. If we are live, doing different promotions, or meeting different fans, we always find moments of pause whether its 3 hours in the day to be writingÂ
Vic: Yes, exactly the most important thing is the need to be truthful; inevitably we will be too busy or too tired and we will say âOkay, wait we need time to writeâ
Tr: When you compose music, how does it work? Are you working together on some parts, waiting on a muse, or saying âno, today weâre going to make a songâÂ
Damiano: No, creativity comes at unexpected moments but itâs also a thing you can train. We find that when we have the time to write for a couple of days in the studio itâs usually in the morning and the evening when we throw out ideas, search for influences⌠unfortunately you canât always expect an epiphany; otherwise itâs a bit difficultÂ
Tr: You all know Little Big, right? [Little Big is a Russian band MĂĽneskin in a different interview said they knew of]
All: Yeah yeahÂ
Tr: So then while we are talking about Little Big, they said that during the pandemic lockdown they lived all together in a house and every day worked; did you do the same thing?Â
Vic: Unfortunately no, during lockdown we could not be together so we had to experiment with different ways of writing at a distance⌠obviously itâs not the same [difficult] for a group thatâs fundamentally together, so therefore until we could meet again we were doing that.Â
Tr: We want to talk about your style, itâs a little inspired by the 70s, glam rock⌠and is this a style that you have chosen or is someone giving you advice about what to wearÂ
Vic: For us it is very important to choose because the clothes that you wear really express you and we want to represent that. Therefore weâve always been ourselves from when we were little up until now.Â
Tr: Do you have any intentions of launching a clothing collection?
Damiano: For now weâre focusing on music but maybe in the future when we have more free time
Tr: Going back to your style, it comes off strong, do you ever come across people who donât understand and maybe complain about it? How do you react to this âaggressiveâ perception [of you]?Â
Damiano: In reality, even now that we have success, those types of comments get sent to us and we just rise above them. But when we were playing on the streets it was particularly difficult because there was a concentration of people just yelling insults at us, but luckily there are four of us and we support each other and grow to be more confident in ourselves.Â
Tr: Before coming out on stage at your concerts, do you have any particular rituals that bring you luck? That you do every time and it brings you luck?Â
Vic: Ehhh thereâs some swear wordsÂ
Ethan: We say âCâmon câmon câmon!âÂ
Damiano: âCâmon câmon câmonâ is the censored version
Ethan: ExactlyÂ
Tr:Â Before going on your transmissions, now every time you will change out the swear words!
All: Exactly *laugh*
Damiano: In Italian thoughÂ
Tr: We have noticed that when someone doesnât understand Italian, you can say anything in Italian [to them] and it just sounds really niceÂ
Vic: Thank god *laughs*Â
Tr: What music do you listen to, what music inspires you? Are there artists that inspire you but you never listen to them? To avoid contamination and eventual plagiarism in your case?Â
Thomas: For us contamination is a very important topic⌠anyway we listen to different artists big and small and we search to mix them and we have a clear idea of what we want to do. Itâs really important to take inspiration from many different artists and take the best parts from each of them.
Vic: Yes, of course we have particular artists that we take lots of inspiration from but we search to listen to a lot of music and center in on the little details we want.
Tr: Why did you decide to do a cover of Begginâ, did you have any fear before doing it?Â
[Damiano scrunches his face at this, Iâm actually not sure if I translated it wrong or if thatâs just a weirdly phrased question]Â
Vic: No, in reality it was very very small [that is to say, not scary?], compared to the first songs that we played together and now that weâve written our original songs. In fact we never expected this [Begginâ becoming a hit] to happen.
Tr: And maybe itâs the first time that a cover became big before your own songs; youâve had such resounding success even on social media everywhere
 Damiano: No no yeah itâs absurdÂ
**Instrumental break where 2 songs play, Damiano gets up and comes back**Â
**A caller speaking Russian calls in, it seems they are playing a game with the caller about their MĂĽneskin knowledge. During this time MĂĽneskin does not speak except to each other, which cannot be heard**Â
Tr: We have received a bunch of questions but there are 3 questions that everyone is asking in particular. I will ask them now.Â
Tr: Is it true that you all have matching tattoos?Â
Damiano: Two
Tr: Where? Let us see
[They only show them the heart with arrow tattoo, not the MĂĽ one]
Damiano: How can I show you, uh, *unbuttons shirt to reveal his*Â
Ethan: *turns around and moves his hair to reveal his on the back of his neck*
Vic: *rolls up her sleeve to reveal hers*Â
Thomas: *rolls up his sleeve to reveal his*Â
Tr: The question for Ethan from yesterday [this is the same translator from the other interview and he was asked this yesterday] is âWhat shampoo do you useâÂ
Ethan: I use shampoo based one hundred percent from loveÂ
Tr: The last question, and maybe the weirdest question, who of you follows the cosmos [space, like NASA] account and why?
Ethan: Itâs me, I follow it because I've followed it a long time from when I first started following things on social media, because when I was little like 12-14 years old I had a love of astrophysics and therefore I followed all the pages.Â
Tr: Going back to your hit, I WANNA BE YOUR SLAVE, what inspired this song. What message did you want to transfer to the public with this?
Damiano: The inspiration for the most part like all our songs comes from personal experience and this piece talks about the various âhiddenâ aspects of sex, like the âstrangeâ or âexcessiveâ acts and we wanted to normalize it by writing a song because we live like this ourselves.Â
Tr: When can your fans expect a new song? Do you have anything ready?Â
Vic: Yes
Damiano: Believe believe believe
Tr: You probably don't have any more secrets for your new album?
Damiano: We are full of secretsÂ
Tr: Weâll try the other part, we know that you had a collaboration with Iggy Pop, do you have intentions of collaborating with others?
All: Itâs a secret! *laughs*Â
**At this point they ask MĂĽneskin to create a playlist of songs they like on a piece of paper, Thomas goes first, then Vic, then Damiano, and finally Ethan**
Damiano turns to Thomas: Can I tell you something? Scratch this out because no one can read it. Itâs impossible. *Damiano tries to read it, then says no* *He then further insults him, but this is in good fun*Â
**Vic begins to draw Damiano, and Damiano, Ethan, and Thomas comment on it saying itâs nice and giving tips on what to add. Thomas says to add earrings and the snake tattoo on his chest, and Damiano asks her to âplease give him high heelsâ**Â
**They then are given posters to sign while they look at MĂĽneskinâs list**Â
Tr: Who wrote Death II - Pulp
Vic: Me
Tr: Do you have any intentions on covering Death II - Pulp? Or a collaboration? Or is it a secret?
Vic: We have a lot of secrets but theyâre secrets from everybodyÂ
Damiano: Why not
Tr: Who wrote this one? [Even Flow - Pearl Jam]
Damiano: This one is mine
Tr: Ethan has chosen this one [Achilles Last Stand - Led Zeppelin]Â
Ethan: Yes
Tr: All the children now are going to school listening to this song so it will be a hell day at schoolÂ
All: *mild laugh*
Tr: Who wrote Paranoid Android - Radiohead? Thomas.
Tr: After this interview where are you going, there is a crowd of fans outside you must get through to get past
Vic: To sleep!Â
Tr: In Russia, like most of the world, we are waiting for your concerts. Do you want to play in Russia, and do you know when?Â
Damiano: We still donât know when but surely we will
Tr: Itâs another secret?
Dami: *laughs* No this one we donât know for real
Tr: We hope that the next time we see you there will be less secrets. Anyway we are waiting anxiously for your album. We will listen to it. Yesterday we had a lot of fun at your concert and here in Russia you have a lot of fans. We wish you a lot of success and we will always wait here.Â
All: Thanks very much
Here is the playlist mentioned above, and Vicâs drawing of Damiano ^
PART 1
Warnings: angst !!! but just a little fluff as always, BLOOD, violence, more crying, very detailed sectumsempra scene, mentions of death
Words: 4.9K
A/N: omg i canât believe so many people liked the first one and to everyone who left me a comment, I appreciate you so much you have no idea plsss you guys are so beautiful. but here is part 2 and I hope you guys like it as much as the first oneee !!!!!!!! this one got dramatic. Iâm thinking of doing a part 3, but Iâm not sure and i also want to make it be mostly fluff so PLS let me knowww <3 i do not own gif.Â
It was an awful feeling; the feeling of needing a specific someone to bring him a peace he so very much lacked in his life. It was a feeling of not being able to feel joy unless he had you by his side. He felt stupid and pathetic knowing he had made an even bigger mess of himself and regrettably of you. He felt more weak too, wondering to himself why he couldnât stop crying and do what he needs to do without several potions or you with him to get him through the day.Â
He didnât want to need anyone. He didnât want to need help. He didnât want to need advice.
âWhy canât I just do this?â he cried to himself one night in the room of requirement, kicking something by his foot across the floor in frustration. He stared at the dead bird in hopelessness, not wanting to move it from its spot in the vanishing cabinet. He had managed to send inanimate objects, but not living things and that was only a discovery he was able to make when you were still in his life.
It had been weeks, since he left you under the tree, broken and in tears. He regressed back into to his old ways of lacking proper self care, of sleeping and eating, his studies being the last thing on his mind, him distancing himself from his Slytherin friends again. It was right back to square one, maybe even below that this time.
In Potions, he didnât dare look at you, ever. He moved to a seat in the very back of the class where he would be hidden from you and could sulk to himself in peace.
âMr. Malfoy, forgive me as it is none of my business, but why are you no longer working with Miss Y/L/N?â Slughorn asked him one day as he came by to grade his potion.
âIt is nothing of concern, Professor,â Draco answered bitterly, holding back the scowl that wanted to show but deciding against being any more rude to authority. âI just rather work by myself.â
âItâs a shame, Mr. Malfoy, you both were my star pupils,â Slughorn mixes the potion around, eyeing it with a frown. âNow the both of you are falling behind. This potion is not passing, you forgot to mix in the dried periwinkle leaves.â
Draco never noticed how you would glance at him throughout Potions class. Of course, he was ignoring you and you felt that nasty realization every time your eyes landed on the platinum blond.
You felt numb, to say the least. You cried for days and days on end. If you werenât in class, you were in your dorm, wrapped underneath the covers wondering why someone you shared so much love and time with had dropped you with no explanation. You tried endlessly to get him to talk to you, cornering him in the corridors, going up to him in class, but he would ignore you until you went away. He never once met your eyes, and your heart broke more every time you saw the coldness in his icy grayâs that made you feel like you didnât even exist to him.
Your roommates and friends had gotten involved, forcing you to take better care of yourself. Staying up and hugging you while you cried. Bringing you meals from the Great Hall into the dorm. Brushing your hair when it started to become matted. Encouraging you to divulge yourself in studies rather than your sadness.
âY/N, you are so much more than what youâre feeling,â your closest friend whispered to you one night as you cried in her embrace. âYou canât keep going like this. Itâs okay to cry and be sad, but this is eating you up. Remember how strong you are. Remember the healer you are trying to be. Youâve helped so many people, inside and out, let your friends help you now.â
You nodded sadly, and finally accepted the help your friends had been trying so desperately to give you. You allowed them to take you out into the Great Hall again for meals. To Hogsmead for a fun day out. To the courtyard where you guys would sit and just talk. It was nice, feeling your old and normal life coming to light again even if it was just for a couple hours. But when you couldnât sleep at night and your mind wandered off to Draco, you felt that same empty feeling of a gaping hole in your heart sting at you.Â
There was nothing you could do or say anymore. The cornering him was getting desperate and made you feel weak. The ignoring was never going to stop. You didnât cry anymore, forcing yourself to bottle up your feelings for him deep down into your mind, body and spirit to the point where you just tried your best to recognize him as a dream.Â
Your brain didnât know any better, right?
â§ď˝Ľďž: *â§ď˝Ľďž:*
Draco sat on the floor of his dorm, head resting against the side of his bed as he twiddled with the letter from his mother between his fingertips. His owl, Aquila, sat beside him and enjoyed the loving pets he was giving her with his other hand. It was rare she let him do this, but he figured it was because she felt that he might have possibly needed this. She nibbled on a crumb of a biscuit he gave her that she had brought with her on her journey from home. Draco sighed and opened the letter again, his eyes scanning over the perfect cursive of his motherâs handwriting once more.
My Dearest Draco,
     How are you, my love? I feel as though we have gone too long without writing to each other. I must say, the Manor feels lonely without you and your father here, but the house elves have been keeping me company. They are quite entertaining, some of them. I do hope you enjoy the small pastries I sent with Aquila that the elves also send on their behalf.Â
I know the pain you are feeling, my son. I know it wears at you and I am deeply sorry that I cannot change it or help you. Please do entrust in Professor Snape, as he is the only one who can help you and understands your circumstances. You cannot get through this alone.
Please also remember that you are just a boy. In these times of turmoil, it is easy to lose yourself in your own despair. You are young, Draco, only 16 years of life and it has already failed you. Please find it in your heart to locate the little several joys in life that keep you going. Despite your situation, It is okay to be that 16 year old boy and revel in those joys for as long as you can before it is too late and they are no longer there. Do not succumb, it is what he wants.Â
I will always love you, and I hope to see you soon.Â
All my love,
Mother
He felt tears sting at his eyes, clutching the letter to his chest as if his mother had charmed it with the feeling of a hug. It wasnât, but he swore he could feel it. He felt sad, knowing she was all alone in that house, but suddenly remembered that his aunt was seeking refuge with her at the Malfoy Manor and his mother left it out for the sake of keeping Bellatrixâs location secret. Seeing as she was a maddened Ex/Present Death Eater and escaped prisoner on the run. The thought of Bellatrix left a bitter and foul taste in his mouth, making him feel even worse that his mother was stuck at home with that beast who was nearly as bad as the Dark Lord himself. He didnât care that that was her sister, his aunt, she had no empathy for anything, especially not for him. He recalls her telling him right before he went to school, that he should be grateful and honored for being entrusted with a task so important.
As much as Draco wanted nothing to do with his tasks, he didnât ignore them. He begrudgingly let Bellatrix teach him Occlumency, something he desperately needed to learn and was now a little good at. He had even tried convincing himself that he needed to do this. It was all up to him. He was chosen for this. He hated it, but he was chosen nonetheless. And he would try with everything to save his family and to make them proud, even if it killed him.
He ignored the thoughts of his aunt and his dreadful life options, refocusing on the words his mother wrote to him. They echoed in his mind, imagining her saying them to him.Â
âIt is okay to be that 16 year old boy and revel in those joys for as long as you can before it is too late and they are no longer there.â
His mind wandered to you, knowing full and well you were are the one and only joy in his life he so deeply desires. His motherâs words hit him hard, to the point where he almost ran out of his room to go look for you. Almost.
But he was stubborn and still couldnât pull himself out of the mindset he had boxed himself in where he thought being with you would be worse in the end for you than not being with you.Â
So he went over to his desk, Aquila following him before flying up to the wooden surface where she perched herself in front of him as he sat down and pulled out a parchment and quill to begin his responding letter for his mother. He thanked her for the pastries, told her he would try his best in confiding in Snape, loosely promised he would fulfill her wishes of him finding some happiness, and gave her his love. He gave the letter to Aquila, smoothing the feathers on the top of her head one last time before she chirped and flew to the window and then out of his room and into the open dark starry sky.Â
â§ď˝Ľďž: *â§ď˝Ľďž:*
More weeks had gone by. And then a month. You were seeing less and less of Draco and for a healing heart, it was the best thing for you, but also the worst. He had even began skipping class as much as he could, not that anyone ever noticed, except you and Slughorn of course.
âMiss Y/L/N, may I have a word?â Slughorn came up to you while you were working on a potion with your friend. The same friend who had given up her seat to Draco who she now despised and regretted ever doing in the first place. She gave you and the professor a look before getting up and heading to the front of the class where she began to pick up vials and jars to store the potion.
âOf course, Professor,â you answer with a polite smile.
âI spoke to Mr. Malfoy about a month ago, he seemed rather distraught,â he began, placing a finger over his chin in thought. âIâm beginning to grow worried of the boy! Is there a reason heâs no longer showing up to class?â
You swallowed thickly before responding, âyour guess is as good as mine, Professor.â
âAh, well, one mustnât pry too much,â he says. âAlso, Iâm pleased to see your marks improving in the last couple weeks. Keep up the good work, Miss Y/L/N.â
And with that the professor turned around and left to go check on other students, your friend returning.
âWhatâd he want?â She asked, setting the supplies down on the table.
âWanted to know about, Mr. Malfoy,â you mocked quietly, your voice turning bitter when the name left your lips.Â
You knew Dracoâs disappearance was your fault and you felt that twang of hurt beat against your chest thinking about it. That whole conversation with the Professor killed your entire mood. It wasnât great to begin with, but the feeling of nothing had turned into hurt.Â
You were roughly stirring the cauldron, preparing to put the nearly finished potion into the two large jars so it could sit overnight. They were right beside your arm and you felt your elbow collide with the glasses, cringing internally when you heard them crash onto the ground and shatter. Luckily there was nothing in them, but you had still made a mess of glass. In your heat of embarrassment and with the people are you now staring at you, you forgot you could easily clean up your mess with magic so like a klutz, you instead bent down to pick up the shards of glass that scattered the floor with your bare hands.
A loud gasp left your mouth as you began to pick them up, feeling the largest piece of glass in your palm deeply slash the skin of your hand. You dropped it, feeling the blood begin to drip down your arms and onto the floor.
âOh no, Y/N,â your friend sighed from above you, gripping onto your other arm and lifting you up. âAre you okay?â
The question was meant for your hand, but you felt it hit your soul just as it did whenever someone asked you that question when you were so overwhelmingly not okay. You shook your head no, the pain from your hand and your heart taking over you completely as tears began to trickle down your face.Â
Slughorn came up to the table, waving his wand over the mess of the floor and fixed the damage done to the vases and making the small puddle of blood disappear.
âClass is dismissed, students, you are free to go to the Great Hall for lunch,â Slughorn announced and everyone quickly packed up their things and hurried out except for you and your friend. The full-bellied Professor watched you with concern and you turned to your friend where she took your hand in hers and placed it palm up for you.
You shuddered, bringing up your wand to the cut and simply thought your healing spell before watching it completely fade into a faint light pink scar.
âIâm going to explain to Slughorn what happened and put away our stuff,â she says to you, a sad glint in her eyes. âGo clean yourself up and Iâll meet you at our table for lunch with everyone when youâre done.â
You could only pathetically nod before you slung your bag over your shoulder and trudged off into the direction of a bathroom. You decided to go up to Moaning Myrtleâs bathroom, wanting to be alone from everyone so you could clean yourself up in peace and also have a meltdown. You didnât know why you wanted to torture yourself with the ghosted memories you shared with Draco in that bathroom, but you still went.Â
You took your time getting there and you were only down the hall when you saw the entrance. It was then when you heard a familiar ghastly screaming and wailing. It was horribly loud.
âMURDER! MURDER IN THE BATHROOM! MURDER!â
Moaning Myrtle floated from the large wooden double doors, screaming so loud it ricocheted off all the walls of the now deathly silent castle. You felt all the blood drain from your face as an awful and sickening feeling had bubbled in your stomach.
âIt better not be Draco,â you said to yourself, your legs taking longer strides towards the bathroom. âPlease, donât let it be Draco.â
By now, you were sprinting towards the end of the corridor, throwing your bag to the floor as soon as you reached the doors and flung yourself through and into the destroyed bathroom, stepping into a pool of water that had streaks of crimson red. Your eyes followed the trail of blood, stopping suddenly when you found the source.
A blood-curdling scream twice as loud and stronger than Myrtleâs, left your throat as you tripped over your own feet to reach him. You saw Harry Potter, standing a little ways by the door, a panicked and pained look in his eyes as he tried to understand what he had just done.Â
Once you reached Dracoâs nearly lifeless body covered in angry red gashes, you fell next to him, his eyes finally meeting yours for the first time in ages. He was breathing raggedly in choked grunts, clutching at his mauled chest as he struggled to breath. The stormy eyes you loved so much were clouded in fear. Nothing but fear.
You shoved your hand into your pocket, searching for your wand and pulled it out hastily. You shakily waved it over his cuts, thinking and saying any spell you knew that came to your mind in the matter of 5 seconds. This was what you did. This was all you did. Why couldnât you heal him? None of your spells worked.
âI, I canât heal you,â you sobbed, resorting to putting your hands over his chest at a failing attempt to stop the bleeding. âIâm sorry, Iâm so sorry.â
ân...o,â Draco said weakly and quietly. He mustered up all his remaining strength and placed a bloodied hand over yours, you grabbed it tightly and leaned over him when you realized he was trying to speak. âS-sorry. lo...ve. y...ou.â
It felt like there was a knife in your chest being repeatedly stabbed into your heart and twisted. His eyes closed and you cried harder, knowing you were going to lose him. Everything was happening so fast. You had only been in the bathroom a solid 10 seconds, everything around you moving in a slow blur but so quickly.
It was as if Merlin had answered your pleas, the sound of the door slammed open and a maddened looking Snape rushed inside, pushing Harry roughly to the side and looking down at Draco and then you only momentarily before dropping to his knees beside him and opposite of you.
âVulnera sanentur,â he began running his wand over the cuts on Dracoâs chest and you watched with wide teary eyes as the blood pooling around you began to retreat back into the wounds. He said it again, and once the blood was back in, the cuts began to close. He chanted it one last time, and the cuts had healed into thick and reddened scars. âMiss Y/L/N, please help Draco over to the hospital wing for some dittany, and quickly please. We might be able to help with the scarring, perhaps avoid it completely. I need to deal with, Potter.â
Draco was half conscious, a dazed and confused look in the gray of his eyes as they fluttered open and closed. You noticed the scar beginning to form on his paled face and you bit back a sob. You knew if that scar stayed there, it would only drive him into a deeper hatred for himself.
You quickly got up, Snape picking up Draco and throwing his arm over your shoulders so that you would be able to help him over to the hospital wing which luckily happened to be a hall away from the bathroom. The adrenaline and sheer love for the boy was pumping through your body which had made you feel stronger in basically carrying Draco through the halls. He was dragging his feet, mumbling incoherently and you couldnât stop crying.
You saw the doors to the hospital wing open, Madam Pomfrey staring at the scene heading towards her in horror.Â
âDITTANY!â you called to her. She threw open the doors wider, nodding before she ran back inside in a hurry. A passing seventh year Hufflepuff had dropped all of his books and his bag and linked arms with Dracoâs free side, helping you take him inside with much more ease. Madam Pomfrey yelled to rest Draco on the nearest bed and she quickly returned with the dittany, shooing the both of you away from him.
âIâm afraid the two of you are going to have to leave, immediately,â she demands, her hand reaching up to grab the privacy curtain before shielding her and the love of your life from you and the prying eyes of shocked students gathered at the doorway to see what had happened. The Hufflepuff that had helped was already out the door, but you couldnât bring your legs to move.
âAway from the door!â McGonagall suddenly appeared from behind the crowd of students, a disgruntled look etched into her aged skin. âReturn to your houseâs common rooms! That goes for you too, Miss Y/L/N.â
She gently placed both her hands on either of your shoulders, guiding you outside the door and out of the hospital wing. She gave you an empathetic glance before grabbing the handles of the doors and shutting them with a loud clang.
The lingering students stared at you in discomfort and grimaces. You looked around, still in a daze and then looked down at your body. You were drenched in blood and water, looking straight out of a horror movie and closely resembling the clothing of the Bloody Baron, Slytherinâs house ghost.
Everything still felt quiet and slow. You didnât even notice your friends rushing towards you in hysterics, throwing you in hugs as you only stood there, unable to react. You let them pull you away, leading you to your houseâs common room, tripping every now and then. You caught a glimpse of Moaning Myrtle in the distance, her cries still very loud and apparent. She had gone around the entirety of Hogwarts wailing the same news that had broken you, only this time you heard the new choice words she had added along the way.
âMURDER! MURDER IN THE BATHROOM! MURDER! HARRY POTTER HAS MURDERED DRACO MALFOY!â
â§ď˝Ľďž: *â§ď˝Ľďž:*
You sat immobile on the edge of your seat besides Dracoâs hospital bed. Much to your surprise, Madam Pomfrey had allowed you to stay overnight with the fallen Slytherin Prince. You recognized it might be her way of paying you back from all your countless volunteering and because of that, she trusted you in knowing exactly what to do when it came to the medical field of the wizarding world.
It was around three in the morning, the incident having happened well past twelve hours ago. You were showered now and in a fresh pair of robes, your pajamas holding in your warmth as a cold draft flowed throughout the dark dimly lit room. The hospital wing was tall and large, it felt like a castle in itself, and it only made you feel more feeble. You scooted your chair closer to the bed, placing a hand onto the mattress right next to Dracoâs paled slender hand.
Fingertips ghosted over his knuckles, your body shivering at the closeness of the near contact. You didnât know how he was going to react when he woke up. It was all a waiting game, and your heart squeezed with anxiety as you awaited his regained consciousness. You didnât forget the words he said to you right before he slipped away. They rang and rattled in your head like a pinball game on loop.
He had told you he loved you.
The thought of him dying and you never being able to tell him you felt the same haunted you. You thanked Merlin that Snape got there when he did. You also made a mental note to hex Harry into the oblivion the next time you got a chance.Â
You sighed deeply, your voice quavering as your ran a hand through your tangled hair. His face glistened under the orange lamp on the bedside table, his skin tinged with a grayish undertone and his eye bags deep and dark. The scar you had seen on his face earlier was gone, the skin now just holding a skinny reddened line going across his features as if he was just hit with something. You smiled slightly, knowing it would be gone in the morning and feeling grateful for him that he wouldnât be scarred with it.
His body was covered in a hospital gown and bandages infused with dittany, but seeing how bad his cuts were before they healed, you knew those would leave something behind no matter what. In your studying towards becoming a Healer, you read about the effects of dark magic and the marks it left behind on its victims. You didnât know what spell had done what it did to Draco, but it was violent and radiated with darkness.Â
The softness of his his skin was met under yours, your hand finally allowing itself to fall over his and you let out a sharp exhale at the touch. It wasnât like earlier when you were holding onto him for dear life, rough and filled with fear and pain, this time it felt familiar. It felt warm despite the coldness of your skin and his. You shook quietly, another set of tears rippling through your body as you tried your best to not wake him. You sat up and slowly leaned over him, looking down at him to observe his peaceful features. He slept soundly and peacefully, his breathing even and quiet. Even though he almost died earlier today, he looked as though he was having the best sleep of his life. The sleep he gravely needed but seemed to never be able to get.Â
Your free hand softly rested on his cheek now and you carefully moved your lips towards his forehead where you placed a long kiss. A stray tear had fallen onto his skin as you pulled away and you frowned, wiping it away with your sleeve before moving your hand up towards his hair. You smoothed it back, the soft blond strands feeling like silk between your fingers. He was a dream, an angel to you. You stood by what you had told him that unfortunate day under the tree, he was good, and you would tell him again and again until he believed it himself.
Just as you pulled back from him, a sharp gasp erupted and he shot up in bed, grabbing and tearing at his gown as breathless quick pants fell from his lips.Â
âHey, Draco, Iâm here, youâre okay, relax,â you coo gently, grabbing his hands and holding them tightly in yours so he wouldnât tear his bandages. Your heart battered against your chest, the waterworks in your eyes beginning all over again. He stared at you, searching your eyes and he began to cry too. The same broken and deep sobbing from months ago you had grown accustomed to hearing.Â
He threw himself onto you, crying even harder as his arms wrapped around you, his hand on the back of your head pressing you into his chest. You climbed into the bed in deep shaky breaths so that you were now sitting on your knees between his legs. It was overwhelming, to put it lightly, both of you crying into each other as you remembered the fall out, the lonely days and nights, the wasted opportunities, the endless missing of one anotherâs presence in their lives.
âIâm sorry,â Draco chokes out. âI never meant to hurt you. I thought that by pushing you away, you would be safer, but I canât do it anymore. I need you, I love you, Y/N.â
You cradled him in your arms, rocking the two of you back and forth, and you shook your head reverently.
âI forgave you the second I thought I was going to lose you,â you respond quickly. âMerlin, Draco, you scared me to death. I thought you were gone.â
The same words from his mother echoed in his head again and he finally understood what they meant.Â
âIt is okay to be that 16 year old boy and revel in those joys for as long as you can before it is too late and they are no longer there.â
Darkness was going to arrive one way or another, it was going to steal the rest of whatever life he had left in him one day. It was out of his hands, out of his control. The time to live his life was now. Because he didnât know when he would ever have this opportunity of love again, of safety, of light. Everything was undefined and unknown and he felt the anguishing regret of all his decisions when he had seen you in the bathroom hovering over him with a hopeless look in your eyes. He promised himself, to Merlin and to the sun, the moon and all the stars that in the 1% chance that he survived that close call with death, he would never abandon you again. His heart pained at the memory of him trying to sputter out his final âI love you,â not knowing whether or not you heard it or if you understood how genuinely he had meant it.
The room was only filled with sniffles and shaky breathing, both of you still in the same rocking position, afraid that if you let each other go, the other is going to disappear.
âDraco,â you say, lifting his head up from the crook of your neck so that he could look you in the eyes. âI love you, too. More than youâll ever know. Please donât ever, ever leave again.â
âNot in a million years, darling.â
Summary: You and Bill have been secretly dating for two years now, only to complicate things one night when you partake in a very risque sketch unbeknownst to him?
Word Count: 2.8k
A/N: Ahhh Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays! This was a request sent in by @berkmansbabeâ I really hope you enjoy it! And it somehow fits what you were asking for! Have a good rest of your year everyone, hopefully 2021 is better?Â
It was nearly four in the morning the last time that you checked, and you were almost half asleep over your laptop. Squinting one eye open, you gazed around the room to find a selection of your coworkers staring at you with little smirks.
"You're drooling, Y/N," one voice calls out; it had to be Mulaney's.
"Okay, you didn't have to tell her that!" another one chimes out, Jost?
Furiously you wipe the drool that was currently dangling from your chin and give the two the meanest glare that you could possibly muster.
At four in the morning, Tuesday's were the worst. Okay, well, technically, it's Wednesday now.
Mulaney only smirked before sliding a post-it note your way. You grimace, reading the details of the message scrawled out in what appeared to be Jost's messy script.
P. G. A. D, weekend update, orgasms onstage.
You practically gape at the note in awe; you were a writer, weren't you the one who was supposed to write this shit? Not perform it.
"Um, I'm not complaining, but isn't this more up Kristen's alley?" you protest, trying not to sound whiny.
"She's on vacation this week, and honestly we think you'd be perfect for it." Jost says matter of factly, giving you a small smile.
"Fine," you sigh before flopping back onto the table to get some more sleep. Earning another chuckle from the boys.
-
It ate at you all week, but I mean, you had the potential. If anyone would understand your feelings, it'd be Hader. His anxiety always got the best of him, and it hurt you to still see the man so stressed and uncomfortable.
Often, you'd be the one to find him after a sketch, rubbing soothing circles into his back. While he stares off rigidly into the curtain, he was fantastic at his job; it just didn't sit well with his anxiety. Although you knew it followed him home, into the late hours of the night, disappointment settling in.
It wasn't public, but the two of you had managed to make things work for the past two years. You had met Bill back when he had first arrived at 30 Rock, as you had gotten hired the same year Mulaney did.
Seth, who was practically your best friend at this point, could tell within an instant that you harbored a small crush for Hader. Often picking at you with little side comments that'd make you stammer and feel your body heat up in embarrassment.
For some time, you didn't even realize that Bill had reciprocated your feelings until he asked you on a date. The two of you curled up back at his place while he showed you some of his favorite movies, it was nice, and the rest was history.
The only problem was, it was safer not letting the rest of the group know about this advancement. God knows what they would do to Bill onstage with sketches...you didn't wanna know.
Alongside the fact that the two of you had quite a bit of an age gap, it wasn't that big, but you knew that Bill often internalized the seven-year gap between the two of you. You were only twenty when you had started at 30 Rock while Bill was twenty-seven. You loved him nonetheless, but you could tell it made him stress a little.
So you both kept it a secret, although you were pretty sure that Meyers and Mulaney knew at this point. While Jost continued to remain oblivious towards your little endeavor.
For this sketch in particular, maybe it was best to keep this one secret as well. Rarely did you ever perform on the show, and you wanted Bill to be proud.
-
Seth, who had been motivating you all week, motioned you into his office early Thursday morning.
"Okay, just spoke to Lorne about this, we're gonna fit you into one more sketch due to Kristen's absence." you nod apprehensively. Â
"It's the easiest thing ever, all you have to do is sit there with Franco, and Hader, and read the cue cards about environmental issues. Keenan will cut you off, and you should be good." Seth explains before giving you a quick thumbs-up, causing you to smile slightly.
"God I am so nervous, is that normal?" you admit as Seth sits back into his seat.
"Oh my god yeah, it is not always easy going up onstage like that, but trust me you have the talent and potential. Lorne hired you for a reason, I'm sure if you brought this up to Bill he could give you a few tips on how to release stress." Seth replied as he gave you a warm smile.
You nodded, thanked him for the advice, and began heading back towards the writer's room to help the rest cut the left-over sketches that you all had mulled over during that week. Only to run straight into someone, their hands instantly going out to hold your shoulders steady.Â
"Oh I'm so sorry I didn't even see where I was going!" you yelp, only to look up and see Bill trying to hold in a laugh. Only causing you to laugh slightly as well at the situation the two of you were in.Â
"You okay?" he asks sweetly after taking in your somewhat frazzled state; without a second thought, you shook your head and went into his arms.
"I'm just stressed," you murmured into his chest as he quickly reciprocated the hug and wrapped his arms tightly around your waist.Â
"About what?" he replied softly, his hold growing just a little bit stronger, that is until the two of you heard nearby footsteps and quickly broke away.Â
A random production assistant walks past while you and Bill clear your throats awkwardly.Â
"Uhm, I am actually going on a sketch this week, you're gonna be in the same one actually. It's with Keenan, I just barely ever go on, since I am a writer, you know?" you exhale softly, only to look back up to Bill. Who is nodding furiously in agreement.
"Oh my god, I mean, you know me," he stops to chuckle, "Y/N, I am a literal mess, I mean don't act like I am totally oblivious to you and John changing the cue cards before Stefon sketches." Bill exclaims as you find yourself beginning to smile.
"I mean, it's really cute seeing you break babe," he fake gasps. "I mean you just make it look so easy sometimes even when I know you're stressing out." Bill sighs slightly before meeting your gaze.
"It's not easy, it never is. It's just you learn how to cope over time, if you want I'll meet you at the end of the sketch. Does that sound okay? Just like you always do for me, which I can never thank you enough for." he says, grinning as you slowly nod in agreement.Â
Giving you a quick peck on the forehead, he explains he has to go back to his costume fittings and that he'll see you later in the night.Â
He always knew how to help.Â
-
You watched anxiously while Seth said the cue that would lead you on stage. Letting yourself take a deep breath, you allowed yourself to block out the situation's overwhelmingness.
 Also, was it always this hot up here?Â
With the cue cards coming into focus, you delved into the script, finding yourself ease into it over time. It was comforting to hear the audience laugh at your delivery, often seeing Seth trying to hold back a grin.Â
Especially upon the time, you began to describe what made your character Tamara Parks go into orgasms from her specific condition, of Persistent Genital Arousal Disorder.Â
"With the help of my physician I was able to find treatment, and today I can say that I am fully-" you let out a moan, trying not to break as you look down. Only to continue on the moaning and the appearance of discomfort as the script goes on. Seth progressively tries not to laugh as well. Â
It almost was shocking that you were pretending to be aroused on live national television. Still, clearly, you were doing something right given the reactions that had been intended.Â
You began to find yourself grateful for the ability to look down and away from the audience to compose yourself against the fake orgasms you were portraying. Seth's hand leaning to rest upon your shoulder, setting your character's orgasms off even more until the sketch was nearing its finish. The crowd applauded as Seth called you offstage.Â
-
You had let out a breath that you didn't even know that you had been holding the minute you had left the stage. Clearly, you had done the job just as Meyers and Mulaney had anticipated, the crowd going wild, it felt nice, but you also felt like you needed a nap. Many of your coworkers had come up to congratulate you, but all you wanted was just to see Bill.
 Except, Bill and Fred were going up to another sketch for Weekend Update, you had asked a production assistant for some water as you took a seat in a nearby corner. It wasn't long before you had spotted Mulaney from out of the corner of your eye, within seconds; his eyes met yours, and he rather awkwardly stumbled over.
You had to stifle your laughter at how ridiculous he appeared in that moment, his rather tall figure colliding with the floor as he slid down beside you.Â
"You did fantastic out there! See, I knew you could do it!" he whispered enthusiastically while nudging you playfully in the side.
The two of you commented on the show's progress and or which sketch that you had written was your favorite. Until your stage manager had motioned for you to go on for your second sketch of the night. John gave you a reassuring smile before giving you a little push off into the side wing you were supposed to enter on.Â
-
The sketch was going well, that is until you felt an intense stare out of your peripheral vision coming from Bill, who was sitting beside you. Instead, it felt more dominant and tense than comfortable and safe as his thigh began to press up against yours. You gulped slightly before Keenan made his way over to you, feeling Bill's thigh against yours, almost making you lose control.Â
The skit's premise was that Keenan's character would never let the guests speak, which was probably a good thing as soon as the cameras went off of you; you had to stifle a moan of your own, a real one.Â
You were flustered beyond belief, and you couldn't tell why for the life of you that Bill was screwing with you on live television, but he was, and it was working. Of course, you appreciated the man's dominance but now was clearly not the time, except all you could feel was the heat pooling at the pit of your stomach.Â
While you were slightly annoyed with him, something about that leather jacket he was wearing was really turning you on. Or the way he did all of this was genuine ease like he wasn't putting you in complete arousal right now was so intimidatingly hot.Â
The crowd's cheering almost caught you off-guard as you realized the sketch was over, and Bill and Franco were getting up to leave the stage. You almost had to steady yourself as your legs felt wobbly and out of place, but you managed to maneuver yourself off the stage with as much grace as you could possibly muster.Â
It didn't take long for you to feel Bill's hand slip under yours and tug you along to a back room, his taller figure looming over yours with a side of him that you had never seen before. His lips practically hovering over yours as you inhaled deeply and ultimately tried to compose yourself only to stammer your words a little bit.
"Um, heh, what did you do that for?" you murmured quietly so that only he could hear you.
"You really think I would let you get away so quickly with that sketch, I simply had to remind you that you're mine babe, mine." he growled as he leaned down close to your height, whispering the words in your ear.Â
Your breath hitching at the contact, goosebumps spreading directly across your skin, and your heart skipping a beat. Except, you were in public, for crying out loud; why couldn't he have waited to save this for the bedroom later tonight?
"I-um, Bill did you forget that this is sorta a live show?" you retort back, stepping away from his slight hold. It finally hits you all at once, "Wait, Bill, are you jealous of my sketch with Seth?" you quickly ask, his eyes widening before quickly denying it.
"What? No of course not since when do I get jealous Y/N?" he says defensively, only to see you start to form a small grin.
"Oh my god you totally are!" you practically yelp, his eyes staring daggers at you.
"Hader, quick change happening for Daveheart in four minutes!" Bobby calls as he walks past the two of you unbeknownst to the little debacle going on.Â
Bill's eyes darting between yours and the dressing room, you sigh and motion for him to go-on for how you would somehow resolve this later. After the door closes behind him, you allow yourself to slide down against the wall once again, trying to compose yourself after everything that had just happened.
-
It doesn't take long for him to find you, this time in a Scottish get-up, you were assuming, and still painfully as ever, you still couldn't help but think that he looked hot, even with his long brown wig.Â
He sits down beside you, looking at you with a hesitant look in his eyes.Â
"Okay, so maybe I am jealous okay?" he admits quietly, completely catching you off guard. "It's just sometimes I wish we didn't have to have this weird age gap, or have to worry about judgement from others or the press. I guess, just seeing you like that today, it just really made me jealous. Proud of course, I mean babe you killed it out there, I didn't even notice that you were anxious. It's just hearing you moan like that, god that was so hot, the things you do to me." he says, no longer making eye contact as he goes into his little tangent.Â
God, you loved him.Â
You sigh before wrapping your hands around his, before slowly pushing forward to envelop him in a kiss. He hesitates for a split second before going in at once, his hands reaching up to cup your face deepening the kiss.
It was like a breath of fresh air whenever the two of you had kissed, whether in the late nights after shows and you can see the sunrise. Or in walks home from work, fingers entwined, and quick glances before sneaking a quick kiss, or even just whenever Bill can spare one.Â
The two of you pull away, only to catch your breath for a second. Bill's wig now tousled, and his eyes staring at you with admiration that you couldn't help but melt under.Â
"You know Bill, I wouldn't change a thing about us. I love you just the way that you are." you say softly, sneaking in a little kiss before pulling away to finish your statement, a small pout grazing his lips.Â
"Just maybe not during a live sketch, please?" you giggle softly, his eyes never leaving yours.Â
"Hey, Y/N, I just wanted to say that you killed it out there-woah, what's going on here?" Seth calls out, startling the two of you; you moving to jump away before Bill quickly stops you.
"We're dating!" you blurt out randomly, "we have been for the past two years, and its time that we probably tell others about it."
 You clamp your mouth shut, ignoring Bill's jaw-dropping, and focusing on Seth entirely.
"Oh my god I knew it! Mulaney get your ass over here, we've been right this entire time! Hader and Y/L/N have been boning for two years." Seth yells over to John, who was busy cleaning up the cue cards as the show was coming to an end for the night.Â
You practically groan, digging your head into Hader's chest in pure embarrassment as Mulaney comes bounding over to cheerfully laugh at your combined misery.
"And to think that Jost said that we were lying about the two of them, guys come on we're gonna go tell Colin!" Seth exclaims, beckoning for the two of you to follow to the writer's room down the hall.Â
"Might as well join them," Bill whines as he pulls you off the ground and drags you along after them.Â
âprobably married to this dumbassâ
pairing: katsuki bakugo x female reader
cw:Â pro hero (aged up) fluff, language, implied 18+ and kissingÂ
word count: 2600+
a/n: i was in the mood to write some bakugo i have three requests atm so if you guys want to send in more iâll write someee
summary:Â in which you and bakugo get interviewed on a talk show on what itâs like being pro hero, what turns into a simple where do you see yourself in five years leads to your relationship being announced on live tv
â back to my hero academia masterlist
You and Bakugo were in love, you knew it, your friends knew it. The people of Japan however had no idea, you were seen just as partners on patrols when out and about. They had no idea of the lewd things Bakugo whispered in your ear as you tried to make sure there was no crime going on. His aim of being the number one hero was becoming a reality, his personality from UA had changed, he may still be the loud explosive man, but he was sometimes kind to civilians. You stress the sometimes.
He would help people get up and tell them off for falling, his logic made sense, but you still loved him even if half the time he was screaming. You had both been asked to be on a talk show that aired at night so nothing you and Bakugo ever saw as you spent many hours at your shared apartment fucking.
It was a love language for the shouty man, and you wouldnât lie and say you didnât love coming home to be pinned against a wall. Feeling ever so small under his gaze filled with lust and love.
âYouâre telling me, me and Y/n have to be on a fucking show.â He hollered at one of the girls who was currently interning.
âDonât shout Katsuki.â You mutter giving a more sympathetic look to the poor girl. âIt might be fun.â
âFun.â He raised as eyebrow shouting, as he dragged you to a secluded area of the hero agency. âFun would be making you beg for my dick; this is not my idea of fun princess.â
You rolled your eyes at his comment as his arm rested on the wall, he leaned further and further towards you. âIf we go then tomorrow we get the day off.â You move your finger up his arm to his shoulder, âwe can do whatever you want to do.â
You were taunting him; he gave a smirk however falling right into it. You couldnât lie you wanted to get dressed up and gain some attention. âWhatever I want yeah.â
âWhatever you want baby.â You cooed as he smirked, he watches as your hands moved to his hero costume, his exposed neck as you brushed your finger across it about to move it to his lip to brush against.
He quickly walks away as you huff as the lack of contact, not even a kiss goodbye. You followed as you saw him storm to the girl who looked scared for her life, he mustâve said an okay as she gave a small smile to you. You smiled back before Bakugo came back.
âItâs at 7, they want us to look nice for the reputation of the agency or whatever.â He crosses his arms leaning against the desk you had leant against.
You were all giddy now, happy that you were able to look pretty, even with your very much exposed hero costume due to your quirk needing more skin contact, you still wanted to feel pretty in something that you didnât associate with hero work. âI know youâre happy to look all amazing, but even if you turned up in a bin bag youâd still be the prettiest girl in the room, dumbassâ
When Bakugo spoke you instantly blushed at his comment, he was never one to outright praise you with hero work, but as soon as it came to your relationship and making you happy he was always one to compliment you, even with it ended with him calling you dumbass. But at least you were his dumbass.
You had been made to choose from a couple dresses as they wanted you to look drop dead gorgeous, you chose a red one that matched Bakugoâs eyes as it hugged your body and went to the ground, it had thin straps and you couldnât lie and say that if Bakugo saw you in this he would want to tear it right off.
You had been told someone would do your make up at the showâs base, and to Bakugoâs dismay the two of you had been separated. Being guided to the base, you sat down eagerly as you saw women and men surrounding you, they did your hair and your make up effortlessly making you look like an absolute goodness.Â
They were really pulling out the stops for this one thing, it was rare for you to do talk shows as you were more into interviews that were pre recorded and edited. Live ones were more Dekuâs and Bakugoâs thing though.
âYou look gorgeous.â The same girl who had told you about the talk show spoke as she held the dress out.
âThank you.â You smiled back as you put the dress on, you had worn the necklace that Katsuki had got you which had the letter K on it assuming people would think it was anybodyâs name and not the man who in a couple minutes would walk out with you.
A red bracelet wrapped around your wrist as you wore a couple rings on your fingers, the promise one encasing your ring finger, it had a small gem in the middle of the gold band and you had refused to take it and your necklace off as it meant so much to you.
Before you knew it was nearly time to go and you saw as Bakugo huffed walking in with a man, Bakugo was for sure not paying attention as the red button up adorned his chest and black trousers clinged to his legs. He had left the top two buttons open, wearing similar rings to you with the black ring you had gotten him around his own ring finger. It was small and thin but inside had your name inscribed in it, he loved it and would wear it with anything, the feeling of it around your throat always sent shivers down your spine.
As soon as he noticed you standing in front of him, he was dumbfounded, he couldnât even speak, looking at you up and down. He walked towards you putting his arms around your waist, âYouâre too gorgeous to resist princess.â You blush as he turns you around so he can get a better view of you.
He loved the sight in front of him, your confident nature was brought out through the dress, everything about the way you looked defined you and it made him fall even more in love with you.
The girl from earlier had gestured for the both of you to go in, Bakugo let go of your waist, missing the touch of your hips on his ever-irritated cock. You both smiled as you saw that there was even a live audience. Bakugo walked in like he owned the place as you just kept straight not wanting to trip in the heels they had made you wear.
âWelcome both of you, come sit, sit.â She gestured as there was a long couch waiting for the two of you, Bakugo let you go first as you sat closest to the host and Bakugo sat beside you, your legs touching as his arm wrapped to the back of the couch, ever so relaxed. âSo, we have Pro Heroes Dynamight and (your hero name), better known as Katsuki Bakugo and Y/n Y/L/N.â
You smiled at her as Bakugo didnât speak or look at her, he had been dragged in this due to thinking with his downstairs brain at the heat of the moment. But seeing how happy you looked in the dress how could he ever have said no to you?
âSo, first off we need to know what got you to want to become heroes.â
âKatsuki.â You mutter if he wanted to talk first, you noticed that in a lot of these live stuff he liked talking a lot, but his normal chatty nature had changed as if he was in a trace and the cause was most definitely you. âOkay well, itâs probably the most basic reason but I saw a hero save someone and I instantly fell in love with the idea of saving and helping people.â
You knew it was common for many heroes to have this sort of epiphany, you heard Bakugo speak as he sat up right, âAll Might of course, from seeing him I knew I wanted to be number one hero.â
He had a calmer demeanour trying not to shout or get as pissed off as he usually did, you smiled at him as he looked down at your body again. âDo you have any advice to any kids out there who want to be heroes?â
âWork hard and even if it doesnât work out at first youâll still be a hero in your own way.â You smile out.
Bakugo laughs at the comment, he knew you were being nice for the show as he knew what youâd have really said, âIf you suck, you suck, get strong or youâll die.â Your eyes grow wide at his bluntness.
âKatsuki.â You scowled at him as the host and the audience laugh, you hit his chest feeling his hard muscles underneath.
âItâs the truth Y/n, you started to sugar-coat stuff.â He raises an eyebrow as he leans back again.
The host continues to ask questions as you answer enticingly as Bakugo makes remarks that lift the comfort of the room, you had finally becoming comfortable, the host asking about UA. âSo, we heard that you two went to UA together, were you two friends, did you get along?â
Bakugo was the first one to speak, you two had been dating since UA and had kept it a secret from everyone except for Class 1A, as soon as the dorm system had been implemented it made it a lot easier to be around each other and one by one the class found out. Even with continuing dating after graduating they all knew you had remained strong together and it was a surprise nobody had found out on the amount of dates you two went on.
âYeah we were friends I guess; we were in the same class and spent time with the class together.â He smiled as he thought of the days were youâd both sneak into each otherâs rooms to be able to cuddle at night. His taller frame always encasing you in love. âShe was a pain back then though.â
You glare at the boy before you interrupt up him, âme a pain, I distinctly remember you pissing off everybody.â
You laughed as he glared back at you, âseems like you two really are the best friends everybody talks about.â You nodded as to try and not blow your secret relationship. âNow for the finally question of the night, where do both of you see each other in five years?â
You had never been asked something like this, you were only in your early twenties and five years is a substantial difference now then it was in your teens. Where would you be? Would you and Bakugo remain strong with you still be partners would Bakugo be the number one hero. You carefully thought trying to get a satisfactory answer out.
Well you had clearly been thinking because Bakugo blurted out the words nobody had expected, âprobably married to this dumbass.â
Your head shot as he had his arm around the couch still, his legs spread as if he was waiting for you to sit on his lap. âKâŚKatsuki.â Realisation hit him as it made his mouth went dry.
The host looked before the two of you noticing, how Bakugoâs arm moved to behind your back, your legs touching, the K necklace around your neck and the look of love that surrounded the two of you.
âYou two are dating?â She asks.
He gives a look to you as you nod at the idiot, âYeah since our UA days, isnât that right princess, you were always obsessed with me.â The nickname rolling off his tongue as your face flushed a bright pink.
âKatsuki you liar.â You mutter, the mic still picking up on it as you could hear it play on the speakers.
âThat is adorable, you two are such a cute couple.â The host coos as you smile at her.
âYeah we might be cute but dating his is like dating a kid.â You laugh as you were trying to get back at Bakugo for embarrassing you.
âI expect it would beâ The host smiles as the audience still hadnât said anything only watching at you two. She wrapped the show up as you could almost hear your phone go off in the other room.
The host said goodbye to you both as the audience watched intensively as they walked out, âyou and your big mouth.â You mutter to Bakugo as he grabs your hand walking you to the side.
âBut now we can go on dates anytime we want now, idiot.â He laughs.
You shrug as he still held your hand, not bothering to change he grabs your bag and clothes as he takes his own, passing you your phone as he remained holding hands with you. âTwitter has gone mad.â
âYeah cause two sex godâs have been dating and they never knew.â He smirks as you push into his side.
âMr and Mrs Bakugo, thereâs a car waiting outside for you.â You almost choke on the name as you look at one of the producers.
âItâs Miss Y/L/N.â You spoke softly but she hadnât heard as Bakugo grinned at the thought.
âCome on Mrs Bakugo, our cars waiting.â You wanted to rip his throat out, as you both walked outside.
Fans around the both of you as Bakugo put an arm tightly around you, he didnât want this to happen, but he basked in all the attention. âYouâre enjoying this too much.â
He grins looking down at you as he goes to you ear, âItâs because tomorrow you wonât be doing any walking at all.â
Your face reddens at what he said, the sex addicted Bakugo was too comfortable and having said that in front of fan only made your face blush even more. He opened the door for you as you got in, he followed as he sat right beside you, the driver taking you to your apartment.
âWe could always have some fun here.â You watching his hands move across your thigh, slowly getting higher and higher at every touch.
âYouâre such a perv Bakugo.â You hissed slapping his hand, his quirk created little sparkles as he lifted your dress up, putting his hand inside as he grabbed your thigh. The hotness making your legs shuffle at the closeness it had to your pussy.
âYour perv though princess.â His antics continued and before you knew it you were inside the elevator to your apartment, his hands around your waist as his chin rested on top of your head. âI love you.â
He spoke calmly for once without any snideness or ulterior motive. âI love you too.â You reply back as you turned to face him, your hands wrapping around his neck as you leant in and kissed him, his arms wrapping around your waist, the kiss deepening as he pulled you closer towards his body, he groped at your hips as he moves to your ass, squeezing it through the thin material. The elevator opened up as his teeth bit into your bottom lip as you retracted, the feeling of him remaining on you.
You knew what was going to occur for the next day and you knew you certainly werenât prepared for losing the ability to walk for the next week. But as he watched you look gorgeous in the dress you watched over him with the same love and lust. You were perfect for each other and nothing would ever change that.
If you guys want to be a part of a tag list, just reply to any post and Iâll add you xx
pairing: swimming captain! Y/N x rival swimming captain! Yunho genre: enemies-to-lovers (kinda?), suggestive, bad humour word count: 3.5k warning: first time writing something spicy and probably badly written, make-out session, fem!reader, swearing, lots of kissing and touching A/N: please be tolerant, itâs my first time writing something spicy. I hope I did good, Iâm open to any constructive criticism đ feedback is appreciated :))
You woke up early this morning, ready to go to the swimming pool to practice. The sun wasnât even up yet, and the dawn sent chills down your spine as the wind blew relentlessly. You grabbed your swimming bag and walked out of the door, zipping up your jacket to your chin and quickly walked to the swimming pool. It was only a few minutes away from your house, it was your only way to go there since the buses weren't operational yet.
When you arrived there, you quickly put on your swimsuit and tidied your stuff in your claimed locker, an essential element since you were a member of the swimming team. As you walked through the door that linked the changing room to the pools, you heard screams and water splashes. You frowned and blinked, the sleepiness remaining in your eyes made your vision slightly blurry. You had forgotten that today, your college was racing against one of the neighbouring towns. And the swimmers were already there, intensely practising as if it was the middle of the day.
You were confused and tired but you put on your cap and goggles anyway. Some swimmers looked down on you, but you couldnât care less as you lowered yourself in the pool, rolling your eyes to oblivion. You were about to start swimming when someone jumped in the water next to you, giving you a taste of the cold water and the chlorine so early in the morning. You grimaced and sighed, wiping your mouth and shook your head as you recognised the figure emerging from the water.
Jeong Yunho, the captain of the rival swimming team. Your greatest enemy.
âLook who we got here, itâs our lovely captain Y/N,â he said with a mischievous smile. âTraining hard?â Even if his words sounded kind, they werenât. Everything coming out from his mouth had no intention to be nice towards you. You huffed and shook your head, again, sinking in the water and started to swim, slamming your feet against the water, purposefully splashing water on the young man's face.
You let out your frustration while doing your laps, never stopping. You didnât want to give satisfaction to the rival team to nag you when you rested, degrading you and calling you names. You swam until the chlorine became your new fragrance, the chemical smell invading your nostrils and already drying your skin and scalp. When you allowed yourself to stop and grab your water bottle, you noticed that most of the college students were gone. You checked your wrist and noticed your locker key still hung to it, relieved that none of them will manage to go through your stuff. Sadly, it happened before. You were naive at that time, carelessly leaving your keys lying around. It became a mess to try and get all your stuff back when you found your locker empty, forcing you to walk home barefoot. One of your classmates, Seonghwa, was kind enough to lend you his jacket to cover your swimsuit to go home.
You were breathing deeply, and your thoughts were running in your mind as you blankly stared at the other end of the pool. Checking your pulse out of curiosity, you fixed the clock on the wall with a look and estimated your pulse. It was above average since you had swum so much without taking a break and you cracked your shoulders muscles as you made eye contact with a tall boy, who was fooling at the other end of the pool with his friends.
Still that damn captain, you thought. Your relationship with him was quite interesting, to say the least. You hated each other, you wished you could rip his cocky smile off his face and throw him in the pool. Everyone could see that you weren't the bestest friends, which was understandable since you were rival captains, but there was a sort of attraction between you two at the same time. Yunho seemed to take pleasure and entertainment in teasing you, always laughing as you tried to not take his jokes seriously, pushing him away or âaccidentallyâ making him trip on your foot. You couldnât resist his small remarks, always snapping back at him on every occasion, sometimes even creating a conflict between you two. Yunho was a proud boy, he always talked back, never letting you hurt his pride as much as you let him hurt yours. You had other worries to deal with, but deep down, you still felt hurt every time he and his friends teased or made snarky comments about you and your team.
He was standing at the other side of the pool with his friends, who were laughing and pushing each other, sometimes close to falling into the water. âWhat do they feed him to be this energetic at 4 am?â you mumbled to yourself as you deeply exhaled and swam again. Yunho stopped laughing as his classmates were starting to leave, keeping their energy for this afternoonâs competition. He heard the water moving from the third lane, a slim silhouette cutting through the water with long and muscular limbs.
He observed you moving like a dolphin and closed his eyes as you did a U-turn underwater to start a new lap, splashing water on him and his friends. They started to leave one by one, each going to shower before going back to sleep for a while. Yunho was the only one who stayed behind, still mesmerised by the way you swam. He was always goofing and joking around, but you were a water goddess in his eyes. He silently walked towards the side of the pool where you were massaging your foot, your body curled into a ball, entirely underwater. You reappeared at the surface with a grimace drawn on your face, still holding your cramping foot.
âYunho, Iâm really not in the mood for your fucking lame remarks,â you spat as you noticed a smirk on his face. It suddenly vanished when he heard the pain in your voice, jumping in the water next to you. âGive me your foot,â he ordered but you didnât move. You rested yourself on the pool wall and stared at him, clutching your foot in pain. âWhy?â you glared, suspicious of his ulterior motives. âCome on,â he said, looking at you, âIâm not going to snap your leg in half if thatâs what youâre scared of.â "You could," your eyes squinted as you directly stared at him, "I donât think youâd be unhappy to see me in clutches while you win all the local championships," you reluctantly extended your foot underwater, which he caught with ease and started applying pressure on the sole of your foot with the palm of his hand. A sharp pain shot through your muscles, making you hiss, but it started to fade as Yunho kept the pressure on your sole. After a few minutes in absolute silence, the pain disappeared.
"T-thank you," you grudgingly said to the man standing in front of you, retreating your leg from his grip. He smiled as he swiftly shook his hair to remove excess water from it. "Youâre welcome," he shot a wink as you felt your heart skip a beat. Your self-control was fine so far, but it was now all over the place as the tall swimmer was near you. âYou know,â he said, coming closer to you, trapping you between him and the swimming lane, âI like to tease you and annoy the crap out of you, it's really funny, but I will never, ever, try and purposely hurt you.â His voice was serious, and you had a better vision of droplets of water running down his muscular torso, which was a huge distraction of the conversation you were having. His lips were chapped and pinkish, contrasting with the paleness of his skin.
âYou never know what people are ready to do when they want to win. I speak in full knowledge of the facts and you surely know it,â you stretched your arms in front of you to cool your muscles down as you completed your workout. âOh really?â Yunho said, raising an interrogative eyebrow at your remark. âYes," you rolled your eyes and stared at him, "Iâm talking about your teammates during our first year. They ripped and my cap and goggles right before the race. Iâm still mad that no one got in trouble for that.â You whispered your last sentence as you hauled yourself out of the pool, walking to the red plastic chair, your towel resting on top of it. You plunged your face in it, letting go of a big breath as you felt the tiredness of early morning and your workout kick in. âYou know that I canât do anything about it,â Yunho followed you, wiping the water running down his nose.
âOh yeah, you might be surprised but there was and still is something you can do,â you looked up from your towel and stared at him straight in the eyes, âyou could actually behave like a captain and treat me like one too, instead of the constant teasing you make me go through whenever we see each other. I can see that you like it, but I don't,â Yunho wants to interfere but you rose you pointing finger, âno, let me finish. I know you enjoy teasing me, it's annoying to see your fucking smile on your face when you laugh at me, and since we see each other pretty regularly, my team never takes me seriously. I canât be taken seriously when Iâm the captain and supposed to help them and give pieces of advice.â You stopped ranting, not knowing where you wanted this conversation to go. âJust keep your nasty remarks and teasing for someone else, someone whoâs willing to go through the bullshit and teasing you make me go through every time we see each other. Thereâs no need to act like you are the king of the pool, everyone has eyes for you, even my mates and my teachers. Itâs frustrating, sometimes even infuriating. So you either you leave me alone, or I quit, so you'll actually have the entire pool for yourself.â
You walked to the changing room without another word, even if you heard Yunho calling your name, jogging behind you.
âIâm sorry,â he said, gently catching your wrist to stop you, placing himself in front of the door as you sighed but didnât push him away. âI never meant to hurt you, really. I never thought that it would hurt you that much, or that you would take anything seriously. I just thought that since we were captains, we could tease each other for fun. I've always done that with other captains when I was in high school and at the beginning of college too, but I should have noticed that it hurt you.â You were a bit suspicious at first, but when you saw his guilty yet serious expression, your features softened. He stepped closer, keeping the eye contact with you as a smile appeared on his face.Â
âIâll stop teasing you, you have my word.â He declared as something in his eyes changed, but you couldnât describe what it was. Even if you hated to admit it, Yunho was a handsome guy, girls swooning over his personality and muscular body when he was messing around the pool. You were quite oblivious of what was currently happening, but the situation wasnât unpleasant. His hands linked behind his muscular back, he neared your face with his, his lips hovering above yours. âBut now,â his voice was an octave lower, making you shiver, âwhat do you think our teams would say if they saw their captain kiss?â Your eyes widened at his words, never imagining that he was this kind of feeling for you. His hands left his back and landed on the damp skin of your waist, feeling surprisingly warm against your cold skin.
"Are you out of your mind?" you asked as he pushed you backwards, your shoulders coming in contact with the cold swinging door, making you stumble in the girls changing room. You were at a loss of words, too surprised by the current situation to make a single sound. âHm, Y/N? What do you think?â Yunho repeated as your answer didn't satisfy him. âI just think that you shouldnât be in the girls changing room,â you finally answered, earning a smirk from him. You couldnât resist the intensity of his eyes, so you looked away, but Yunho didn't appreciate that. He grabbed your chin and forced you to look at him a few seconds in the eyes before lunging forwards and locking his lips with yours in a swift motion. He grunted as you pressed your hands on his abs, your tired muscles slightly giving in at the sudden new feeling. His arms landed on your waist as you pulled on the hair at the back of his head, earning a grunt from him. Feeling that you were kissing him back, Yunho didn't hesitate and took your response as the green light to let his hands explore your body.
The kiss was getting more and more intense and heated as minutes passed by. You were too caught up in the moment to care if someone walked in, too busy to make your mouths move in sync. Who comes to swim so early in the morning anyway?
You circled your arms around his neck as he hugged you even closer, the sheer fabric of your bathing suits being the only restrictions between your bodies. Yunho pushed you backwards, again, your back slowly colliding with the wall of a shower cubicle. He locked the door behind him after pulling you in it, trapping you in his arms as your mouths danced again together. Hands in his hair, sometimes pulling on it, you managed to earn a few other grunts from him.
Droplets of water fell on your faces as some entered your mouths, the taste of chlorine adding fuel to the already steamy exchange. You suddenly felt hotter when Yunhoâs hands went from your waist to your ass, pushing up the fabric to get full access to your skin. Softly grasping the flesh before slapping your butt cheeks, you felt him smirk against your lips as you moaned loudly. His tongue took advantage of your slightly opened mouth to enter it, slowly dancing with your tongue, looking like they were shaped for each other.
Yunho broke the kiss and didnât let you time to breathe as he was already attacking your jaw, slowly leaving a trail of kisses down to your neck and collarbones. You had made out in the past with your exes, but none of them made you feel as good as Yunho did. His hands and mouth were exploring your body, a sensation that you had never felt before. It was a very new sensation and your stomach did flips as his lips connected with the soft skin under your ear, tongue twirling on your shivering skin, his action increasing your arousal. You let out a moan as you caressed the nape of his neck, drawing him as close to you as possible. His kisses were addicting, you felt like a junkie who hasnât had their drug in years, eyes rolling at the back of your head as goosebumps took over your body. It felt so good that you wanted to let the entire world know how good he was making you feel.
âY-Yunho,â you whispered as you tried to get his mouth away from your skin, suddenly snapping back to reality, âwe race this afternoon, I compete with a purple neck.â Yunhoâs mouth came back up and kissed you on the lips to prevent you from further complaining. âI donât care,â he grunted, drawing you closer by your neck, âI want to show everyone that youâre active. I want to show every single student there that youâre mine and mine only.â Gosh, he could be so competitive and greedy sometimes, you could only give in when he assaulted your neck, again. Your worries vanished, getting replaced by waves of pleasure flooding your veins.
The captain felt you shiver under his touch and he smirked, dragging you in the middle of the shower stall and turned on the water, the tap on the warm side. The water hitting your skin made you tremble even more, but it was a different kind of shiver. Throwing your head back, you gave Yunho more access to your neck and moaned his name as he found your soft spot, right under your ear. He turned you around, pressing you against the wall. His hands travelled the sides of your body up to your arms as he kissed your shoulder blades, teeth grazing on the skin. Spinning around to face him, you held on his shoulders for your dear life as he passionately kissed you again, his lips being your new obsession. They needed to be against yours to make you feel satisfied.
But you had enough, it was your turn to feel him up and explore his body. Your hands travelled down his torso, touching his strong abs and his happy trail, going dangerously south as he groaned at the pleasant feeling. He stopped kissing you, making you open your eyes, only to find him hungrily looking at you, biting his lower lip in the process.
"You're so fucking hot," he whispered, and you stared at him, smirking as your eyes filled with lust. As you were about to caress him further, you heard voices behind the main door, and you recognised your friends' voices. You both immediately froze, and Yunho turned the water off as quickly as he could. You jumped in his arms, and he hugged you close to his body with one arm wrapped around your figure, the other pushing the hair away from your face. He then pressed his forefinger against your lips, signalling you to stay quiet, only to have you opening your mouth and sucking on it. His eyes widened and darkened, surprised by your actions. He mouthed you to stay quiet, and you nodded, still sucking on his digit as you stared at him. It was so explicit and eager of you, but you felt a rush of adrenaline in your body, scared but also yearning to get caught.
While your friends were taking their sweet time to get ready to swim, you were both shivering in the shower stall, breaths shallow and quick, hoping not to get caught in the middle of your heated make-out session. You could feel that Yunho was starting to get bored as your friends laughed at some dumb jokes they made, and you didnât like the look he had in his eyes, unwrapping your mouth of his finger.
You knew what he had in mind, and you rapidly shook your head, silently pleading him to stay still. What a bad idea of teasing him, you knew he could be spiteful sometimes. He smirked and sank his head in your collarbone, dangerously going south as he landed right above your chest, sucking on the sensitive skin. Yunho heard you squirm as one girl closed her locker, his hand kneading the skin of your ass. He had to resist the urge of slapping the jiggling flesh, feeling so soft against his palm. You clenched your teeth to prevent you from making a single noise, pursing your lips as you heard two girls walking towards the pool, letting out a long sigh as soon as they closed the door.
âI hope no one comes in and interrupts us next time,â Yunho nonchalantly said as he opened the cubicle door. You almost choked on air at his words, slapping his shoulder. âBecause you think thereâll be another time?â You almost yelled but quickly caught yourself and lowered your voice. âWhat do you think weâre going to do when weâll finish first from our respective category? Did you really think I was done with you? Youâre just lucky that Iâm tired, otherwise we would still be in that cubicle,â He winked and quickly pecked your lips before you could hit him again.
âI hate you,â you scoffed as you took your showering products and went back to the cubicle. âIf you say so, darling,â Yunho mumbled with a smile, knowing that it wasnât the case. You couldnât hate him after all of this, rather the contrary. But it was just your way of protecting yourself. âIâll treat you like a princess if you get a good result.â "And if I finish first?â You teased, closing and locking the door. âIâll treat you like the queen you are and make you taste a bit of paradise,â he stated as if it was the most normal thing to say and he left the girl changing room, making his way towards the changing rooms where he was supposed to be since he finished swimming.
(Don't) Let me be the judge of that
a/n: enemies to lovers w Osamu. Nothing more to say.
genre: mostly fluff, enemies to lovers au, fem!reader
warnings: Osamu being an ass in the beginning, swearing, mentions of social anxiety, 5.6k
ăSynopsis: Osamu Miya is too judgemental for his own good, never accepting he's simply wrong. You're here to change that.ă
Osamu Miya had a habit of judging people. It would take him one look and a few seconds to decide whether he liked someone or not, the answer often being the latter. But the worst part was just how stubborn and maybe a bit self-centered Osamu was. He trusted himself a little too much, and it was impossible to change his opinion of someone after he had made up his mind, and if he didn't like someone, that was it, he would never grow to like them.
Or so everyone -including Osamu himself- thought until you entered his life.
~
You weren't surprised to feel the brown pair of eyes looking your way when your professor announced the project was in pairs. "Decide on your partners until the end of the hour and give me a list of the groups." He told the class and leaned back in his chair.
"Y/N!" You heard him before you saw him, a mop of bleached blond hair coming into your view right after. "Hi, Atsumu." You offered him a smile as you pocketed your phone, tilting your head when he frowned in response. "I already told you, Y/N, it's 'Tsumu to you!"
"Why?" You sighed annoyedly. Having had the conversation once before, you knew damn well he wouldn't stop until you did what he wanted, but you still chose to resist.
"Because," the boy whined, "it's a sign of our friendship. Only my friends and 'Samu call me that, and I want you to call me by my nickname, too." You chose not to talk about how he excluded his twin from his friends, knowing that would only lead to another argument.Â
"Who even came up with this stupid name? It doesn't make any sense, it's only one syllable shorter, and it's even harder to say!" Atsumu's warm-brown eyes narrowed. "It's not stupid!" He protested, pouting until you gave up.
"Okay, okay, whatever. 'Tsumu-kun. There, happy?"
"Tsumu." The blond corrected with a grin.
"Kun." You added (to rile him up)
"Only Tsumu, goddammit! We're close enough."
"Are we, though? We only know each other for... what? A week?"
"A month!" Atsumu gasped as he corrected you. "And it doesn't matter how long we know each other, okay? It's a matter of how well we connect." His frown got deeper when you made a face, muttering something about him being cheesy, so he decided to switch strategies.
"But you always call me by my name when we're alone, Y/N-chan." Words spoken as flirtatiously as possible, Atsumu never missed the chance to tease you.
"A-atsumu, what the fuck, don't make it sound weird!" You exclaimed, already aware of the murmurs starting to spread around the room and the eyes turning on you both.
"There we go," Atsumu grinned when he heard his name falling from your lips, "wasn't that hard, was it?"
"You just had to be a little shit." You sighed, and his grin only spread wider. "I am a little shit, aren't I? Thank god I'm handsome. Anyway, I'm writing our names down."Â
"It feels like we're getting married, seeing our names standing next to each other like this." He sighed, wiping the nonexistent tears from the corner of his eyes as he handed the paper to the person sitting behind you. You heard someone gasp at his words, and you never wanted to hit someone with a chair this much in your life.
"Shut the hell up!" You whisper-yelled, only feeling your anger growing when he sent you an innocent look. "What? I'm just saying-"
"I swear to god," You flared, "I'll tell everyone that one time you ran out of the library screaming when you saw a cockroach if you don't shut up." His grin disappeared as soon as you spoke the words, eyes widening and mouth shutting.
"You promised to never talk about it!" You had to admit that it did feel powerful to see him so panicked, face flushed, the sleazy look that was almost always in his eyes nonexistent and replaced with something similar to fear.
"It's up to you wether I talk about it or not." You shrugged.
~~~
"Woah, you look tired." You heard a familiar voice say as he plopped right next to you on the bench, holding a homemade bento in his hands, wrapped too neatly to be made by him.
"And whose fault is that?" You muttered, trying to conceal your murderous intent towards him. Even just thinking about your day gave you headaches. You groaned when he shrugged, focusing on unwrapping the bento box. "Yours, idiot!"Â
"What did I d-" You winced when he spoke after taking a big spoon of rice and showing you everything that was in his mouth.Â
"Your fans wont let me be! Ever since we started hanging out, it's almost like I'm being harassed."
"That's not necesarrily my fault." Atsumu shrugged, proceeding with another bite of his food.Â
"It is, actually. I know you like to tease me, but if you keep saying shit like 'oh look our names together, feels like we're getting married' or that fucking 'you call me by my name when we're alone' you make it worse! You know how many people came up to me and asked if we were sleeping? One even asked me if we were engaged! We've known each other for two weeks, for god's sake!"
"A month." Atsumu corrected, shutting up when you sent him a look. "That's not even the worst part. Whenever I don't give an answer, or the answer they want to hear from me, people start to-"Â
They started to get mean. Some even insulted you without batting an eye, speaking of how you weren't even pretty, that you had to be sleeping with Atsumu to be near him, and many fucking more.
"What?" He asked. "People started to what?" You knew he could sense how tense you were starting to get, but you always started to fight with him whenever he asked if people were bothering you, never answering his question, despite the answer being obvious.Â
"Nothing, its just frustrating." You shrugged, taking a bite out of your meal to stop yourself from talking -or crying-.Â
"Look, I can guess what's going on." Atsumu sighed, "and the only reason I can think of of you not telling me what's happening is that you don't want me to interfere, but you should tell them to piss off, already." He advised you the same stupid sentence he had been advising the past few days, ever since he noticed how his fans acted towards you.Â
"Yeah, thanks for the advice, jackass. It would be easier if you stopped being so extra." You muttered into your cup full of coffee, feeling a tinge of guilt, putting the whole blame on him and not admitting you probably should tell people to mind their business already.
But you just weren't the type of person that was comfortable with talking to people you didn't know or know well enough, and you certainly weren't going to tell people to 'piss off' so comfortably.
You gulped when he sighed. "Okay, sorry, you're right, and I went overboard. But I gotta go to training now. It'll end around 5 p.m, so come to my place at 6?" He raised to his feet as he took one last sip of his drink when he finished his food.
"And if anyone asks you if we're married again, you have my permission to say yes." He grinned, patting your hair twice before you rolled your eyes, but couldn't stop a giggle from escaping your lips. "Oh, thank you, gracious lord." You cried out dramatically, scoffing when he pinched your cheek. "Exactly."
~~~
"I'm going into shower." Atsumu announced as Osamu shuffled through the fridge.Â
"And?" The grey-haired twin asked from the fridge without pulling back, locating the eggs, and taking some out. "Do you want my help or something?
He expected an equally sarcastic comment from his brother, lifting his head as he closed the door of the fridge. "Cook for 3 today, a friend's coming over." He heard him say instead.
"A friend?" Osamu quirked his brow, ready to laugh given the punchline, but it never came.
"Yep." His twin answered instead, popping the p like some idiot middle schooler. "She's nice, you'll like her." He grinned, and Samu was already sure that wouldn't be the case. "Is this the girl ya can't stop talking about?"
Osamu couldn't say he wasn't interested since it was rare to see his brother drawn to anything but himself and volleyball, especially not to a girl. And judging by how Atsumu spoke about you, it was evident he had a particular liking to you.
The smug grin on Atsumu's face gave Osamu his answer, to which he grimaced. "don't wanna hear a fucking sound."
"She's coming over to study, you pervert! We have a project together."
"Yeah, whatever, I said what I said." Osamu shrugged, turning his back to Atsumu and started to chop the vegetables, unable to shake off the unlucky feeling pooling in his stomach.
~~~
"Oi, shit-head, does yer friend have any allergies or somethin'?" Osamu knocked on the bathroom door that had steam coming from the gap beneath it. He waited as Atsumu closed the water. "Eh, I'm not sure."Â
"Yer not sure? How long do you even know her?"
"A month." Atsumu answered, turning the water back on. A month? It wasn't like Atsumu didn't get close to a girl he knew for such a short time, but Osamu had never, ever seen Atsumu bring a girl home.
"Hurry up, already, what the hell are you even doing in there?!" Osamu shouted, knocking on the bathroom door and holding back an urge to kick down the door when he heard the happy humms of his brothers.
"Oi, idiot, I'm telling you- goddammit." He clenched his teeth when he heard the doorbell.Â
"Hurry up or you're not eating." Osamu knocked one last time before he rushed to the door to let you in.Â
He opened the door without thinking of opening the lights as well, and since it was well after the sun had set, he couldn't see what you looked like, but he knew he wasn't expecting- well, you.
You were bent forward, trying to undo the messy knot your shoelaces had formed when the door opened. Sending a glance at the silhouette standing at the door, you turned your attention back to untying the mess your shoes were.Â
"Hey, Atsumu." You muttered without taking another look, assuming it was Atsumu who had greeted you. You didn't see how Osamu's face soured, dark-grey eyes narrowing at your form with some hostility he couldn't help.
In your defense, the light wasn't on, and you hadn't taken a good look at the boy standing before you, so it wasn't exactly your fault for not realizing it was Osamu, right?
No.
Strike one.
Osamu hated when people mixed him with Atsumu. Did they not see the bright platinum gray hair, clearly different from his twins piss colored one? Osamu hadn't dyed his hair for the sake of looking nice, and he certainly hadn't sat in the hairdresser for hours long just to get mixed up with his twin again.
You had noticed your mistake as soon as you stood up and looked at the tall figure staring at you, leaning on the door frame and his arms tied on his chest almost defensively. "O-oh," Osamu heard you mutter softly, not sure as to why your voice sent goosebumps down his arms. "You're not Atsumu."
The somewhat disappointed tone of your voice made him furrow his brows. The smile you had on your lips dropped as soon as you locked eyes with the grey ones, familiar yet strange, and Osamu could feel himself getting more irked by the second.
The truth was, you weren't exactly disappointed, mostly embarrassed and a little surprised, although the unsatisfied look his eyes held kept making you even more nervous. He waited as your eyes wandered over his face, over the scowl resting on his lips, looking so mean and hostile, you found yourself taking a defensive step away from him.
"I- uh," Osamu's scowl didn't move an inch when you forced a smile at him, and you checked the time on your phone to break the eye contact. "Atsumu told me to come by at 6, and... is he- is he home?"
"Yeah," The boy talked for the first time, and you noticed how his voice was deeper than his twin's. It was nicer, too, you thought. "He's in the shower, though he should be-"
"Y/N, you're here!" You heard the twin you were familiar with speak your name, standing in the entrance, hair still wet and dripping with excess water.Â
"Don't get cocky, I'm here for the project." You rolled your eyes with fake annoyance, unsuccessful at hiding your smile. Osamu felt something in him shift as he watched the change in your demeanor, feeling- what, jealous?Â
"You met 'Samu?" Atsumu approached you, not missing the tension hanging in the air. "Y/N, this is the inferior twin, 'Samu, as you can also tell. And 'Samu, this' Y/N." He introduced you, making you laugh awkwardly, but Osamu kept his glower.Â
"Don't mind him, he can be an asshole sometimes." Atsumu whispered at you, which anyone even passing by outside the house could hear. "Look at who's talking." You told him with a snarky quirk of a brow, making Atsumu frown. "Mean."
The blond pulled you towards the living room, making you settle on the couch and plopping next to you. Osamu caught the glance you sent his way when he didn't sit, leaning against the wall that was across you, instead, and you found he still had that frown that seemed to be imprinted on his face.
Osamu's frown was deepening on his lips at how comfortable you looked next to Atsumu, the friendly banter you had the exact opposite of how uncomfortable you looked next to Osamu. Maybe it was the natural competitiveness that came with having a twin, but Osamu hated this feeling. Why couldn't you smile at him like that, too? Yeah, maybe he was acting like a dick, but wasn't Atsumu also?
"Go dry your hair, idiot, you'll get sick!" Osamu heard you tell his twin, watching you hit him with the nearest pillow. "Hm?" Atsumu turned to you with a grin, leaning towards you for easy access to his hair. "I thought ya could do it for me?"
Osamu watched you with interest as you glared at his twin with annoyance. "I hope you get sick." You narrowed your eyes at him. "If you keep this attitude around other people, I'll kick you."
"Alright, alright, I won't flirt with ya when other people are around." Atsumu grinned, and Osamu felt his appetite vanishing. "I'll just leave." He muttered to himself, closing the door behind him just after hearing your answer to his twin.
"Don't flirt with me, ever?"Â
You had spoken it with such genuine annoyance that if you had listened closely, you could hear Osamu laughing from the other side of the door.
~
So, the meeting with his twin was anything but successful.
Osamu was very blunt with how much he hadn't liked you, his glare reminding you of the ones Atsumu had whenever his fans approached him, cold and cruel.
Grey was clearly the superior choice, though, that you found yourself thinking as you gazed at the blond. "What? Lost in my handsomeness?" Atsumu teased you when he noticed you weren't paying attention to the project. You had to hold yourself back physically before you said something along the lines of how his twin was hotter, but you knew he wouldn't talk to you ever again, so you shut your mouth and took the teasing.Â
Luckily, Osamu was barging through the door before Atsumu could continue, bored-looking eyes finding you two where he had left you. "Dinner's ready." He told you and left the room.
"Food," Atsumu salivated, jumping on his feet the moment he heard his brother, ready to sprint to the kitchen. You shuffled awkwardly in your place when you felt his warm-brown gaze on you, expecting you to stand up, as well, and eat.
"I- uh," you muttered. "I'm not really hungry, and I ate before I came here." Lies. "Can't we just finish this project instead?"
Strike two.
Just as he started to think you weren't horrible, Osamu gasped from the other side of the wall when he heard you (the walls were thin), his teeth clenching in annoyance. Really? Did you prefer doing a fucking project over his food? The food he had cooked?
Osamu was never a forgiving person, but this- this was something he could never forgive, he decided on the spot.
"Oh, come on, stop bein' a baby." Atsumu told you, pulling you by your hand on your legs, he knew you well to understand you were hesitating to go there because of his brother. Or more as he was making you nervous and you would rather not eat than go in his presence. "Osamu's the best cook around, you'll see." He joked so you could relax a little, making you giggle nervously.
Strikeout.
Osamu flinched at the words, eyes narrowing on you as you entered the kitchen. Did you doubt his abilities?Â
You thanked the boy as he placed your plate in front of you, steaming hot food, smelling so good that you wanted to bury your face in it, but the grey gaze hovering over you was making you so nervous that it made it impossible for you to take even a small bite.
"Do ya like it?" Atsumu asked you, noticing how you were nudging the food with your fork without eating. You flinched in your place, your friends' voice pulling you out of your thoughts and back to reality, to which you mustered a smile and nodded. "Yeah! Yeah, it's- it's delicious. Thank you." You turned back to Osamu, who scoffed at your words, causing you to frown.Â
You could tell he didn't like you one bit, even though you weren't sure as to why, but you discarded the thought. He was free to like or dislike you, which, in this case, was the latter, though it stung a little since you thought he seemed nice when- well, when he didn't frown at you.
He seemed like the type you would either get along or hate mutually.
He had obviously chosen the latter, and both Atsumu and you could feel the almost hateful air coming from Osamu as he glanced at you with a disinterested, blank face. "Did ya have a bad day or something, 'Samu?" Atsumu broke the silence, and you felt like you could finally take a breath. "You look like someone kicked ya in the nuts."
"Fuck off, 'Tsumu."Â
"Nah, you've been acting like a dick all day. What's with ya today?"
"I said fuck off!" Osamu warned his twin another time, this time successfully silencing the blonde.Â
"Thank you," You broke the awful silence that followed Osamu's voice. "The food was delicious." You told him after you finished your food. You could still feel his gaze over you as you placed your plate in the sink and retreated to the living room.Â
"Your brother didn't like me very much, did he?" Osamu heard you mutter to his brother after he had left, too, feeling a fracture of guilt in his chest as he caught the disappointment in your voice.
"It's just... 'Samu. Don't worry about it." Atsumu told you, closing the door behind you.
~
Osamu was hesitant to knock on the living room door.
It had been about two hours since you had gone in, and knowing his brother- he couldn't be sure as of what's to happening.
"Oi, 'Tsumu!" He barged in the room, discarding the thoughts before he gave up.Â
"Shut up." Atsumu whispered, eyes lifting from his phone screen for a second and glancing at you. You, who was lying on the sofa and- sleeping?
"She fell asleep." Atsumu grinned at his brother's questioning gaze. "I'll carry her back to the car. Can you drive her home?"
Osamu didn't hold back his snicker when Atsumu's voice dropped volume as he asked the favor from his brother, still not able to admit to himself the defeat.
"Your hair is still wet, idiot," Osamu mumbled, his eyes wandering over your figure. "And I will not take care of you if you go out and get sick."
"What?" Atsumu grinned mockingly. "Are you gonna carry her then? Be a hero for the girl you've been acting like an ass all day? What the fuck was up with you today?"
"I don't like her." Osamu shrugged.
"She's not the kind of girl you think of her as." Atsumu quickly responded, already aware of what his twin had decided about you. Atsumu knew Osamu too well, his stubbornness even more, so he wasn't exactly surprised when he shrugged.Â
"Let me be the judge of that, and I don't have to like her."
"Whatever, you do you. But you know, you don't have to dislike her just because she's my friend, too."
Osamu stood silent, eyes falling back on you. He knew Atsumu was partly right, but he had his reasons not to like you, right? Osamu pocketed his car keys, nodding at his twin and lifting you off the couch.
Atsumu grinned at the audible gulp his twin took when you shifted uncomfortably in Osamu's arms, snuggling your body closer to him, your hand fisting his shirt unconsciously.Â
You woke up with Osamu hovering over you, and it took you a second or two to notice you were in a car and he was tying your seatbelt. He was so close, yet so careful not to touch you, his smell -a different perfume than his brother's- filling your newly awakened senses with him, him, him. Your eyes met his when he tied it and pulled back, a brow quirking up as his frown settled on his lips.Â
"Did I wake you up?" He muttered as he retreated to his seat, running his fingers through his hair as he fixed his mirror, pushing back the few stray strands back from his face. Osamu turned back to you when you stood quiet, a sarcastic smile quirking his lips upwards, but it fell as soon as you talked.
"Wh- uh, where's Atsumu?"
Osamu clenched his teeth, not knowing why it angered it so much that his twin was the first thing that came to your mind as soon as you woke up.
"Home." Osamu gritted through his teeth. "I'm dropping you home, 'Tsumu gave me the address."
He glanced at you when you stood silent. "He doesn't have a license." Osamu couldn't help but add, a feeling stirring in him when you laughed at that. "So he failed the exam and you passed? That must've been a blow on his ego."
"Oh, you have no idea." Osamu found himself laughing with you.
Silence. He could feel your growing anxiety, and you could tell he was nervous as well, the taps of his fingers on the stirring wheel echoing in the car. His hair reflecting the colors coming from the road, yellow, red, and green, the features of his face illuminated, you thought he looked too handsome to be true.
"Why are you friends with him?" Osamu blurted out after a few seconds of silence, but the question didn't seem to surprise you. "Why is anyone friends with anyone?" You teased.
"Atsumu isn't exactly the type people wanna be friends with."Â
"Hm," he heard you humm thoughtfully, not answering the question. "If we're asking questions, well, here's one. Why don't you like me?"
He could feel your light gaze on him as he kept his eyes on the road. It wasn't if he liked you or not, but you asked him why. He found himself wondering where that annoying meak girl he had met inside went. "And you don't like me."
"No," you answered honestly, which he found amusing. "You're mean."
"And 'Tsumu isn't?"
He turned to you when you shrugged. "Well, Atsumu is, too. But there is a difference, you know."
"And what is that?"
"He's a naturally mean person." You explained as if it made perfect sense. "He's just mean, he doesn't try to be meaner or nicer. You, on the other hand," you looked at him. "I don't think you're naturally mean, not as much as him, at least. I think you're purposefully being mean, and thats why I don't like you."
You met his eyes when Osamu turned his eyes from the road to you when the car stopped at the red light, grey eyes glistening with reds and yellows from the road. Your eyes followed the small smile that appeared on his lips, and you couldn't help yourself from thinking how soft they looked. How much more handsome he looked with a smile, even with one as cruel as he had now.
"I just don't like you." He told you with as much spite as possible, not sure why he was deliberately trying to hurt you. His brows furrowed when you laughed at his answer, instead.
"You certainly aren't the first."Â
"What does that mean?" He asked without missing a beat, the tension now almost solidifying in the air. His heart was hammering in his chest, eyes watching your smiling lips as he waited for your next words, your chest heaving in sync with his, and you were so close, so close that if he leaned even just a little-
"You only met me today, Osamu-kun." He felt goosebumps climbing his back as he heard his name from your lips for the first time. "You know me for what, a few hours at most, and here you are telling me you just don't like me." The cynical tone of your voice made him send you a glare, his hands working over the gear when the red illuminating the car turned green.
"People like you do this a lot, you know. Judge people by one or two mistakes they do, not even anything major, but things you don't like, and deem them unworthy of your time. And how much I hate it when they boast about it, too. What, do you think you're so perfect? Don't you ever make any mistake?"
"People like me?" Osamu repeated, uncharasterically silent after all those words you had spat. "Yeah, shallow people." You answered, but you weren't looking at him anymore as you tapped the window instead. "We're here."Â
You were silent as he stopped the car, pulling to the side, and watched you open the door. "You know," he finally spoke, rolling down his window before you were too far. "You say I judge people so quickly, but you did a full-blown analysis just now, and you say I'm the one to judge quick?"
"Tell me, Osamu." You bent forward a little, leveling your face with his. "If you can promise me that you didn't think, ah, I know this type of girl, even once tonight, I'll take it all back and apologize to you."
You smiled when he stood quiet.Â
"Goodnight, Osamu. Thank you for the ride." You told him before walking back to your house.
~
"Ya know, with the amount of time you spend here, you may as well move in." Osamu told you gruffly, eyeing you from his side of the couch. Your eyes followed him as he took a bite out of his food, adam's apple bobbing up and down. Â
"I'll move in as soon as you leave." You answered with a fake smile, turning your eyes away from his as soon as you realized you were staring, hoping he hadn't noticed, but he had.Â
"Yer sure ya want me to leave?" He quirked a brow at you, making you grimace. "Never been more sure."Â
It had been about a month since you met Osamu, and it was like this ever since. Osamu never missed the chance to take a jab at you, or he couldn't sleep. You never backed down from it either, the fights going back and forth until either Atsumu got bored and pulled you away or one of their friends called you out.
You didn't enjoy it like they thought you did. In fact, it was getting tiring and annoying, but you couldn't stop yourself from taking a jab at Osamu whenever he shot you a remark.
He looked at you when you sighed, brows quirking up in a silent question. "When's Atsumu gonna be here?"
Atsumu had told you to come to his place that day, telling you he would be there in a few minutes after you and he had something to do, but as always, he was late at least an hour, and you were now stuck with his brother.Â
"I'll just go home and meet you up later." You had told the blonde, but he had insisted you stay.Â
"Have you ever seen 'Tsumu come somewhere not at least two hours late? I bet he won't be here for at least an hour more." Osamu chuckled. "I'm hungry." He added right after, eyes finding yours.
"And? You need me to cook?" You snickered, not expecting him to stay silent, looking at you for a few more seconds and rolling his eyes as he turned around and went to the kitchen.Â
Your brows furrowed in confusion at the antic. Surely Osamu wasn't- he wasn't asking you if you wanted something, was he?
"At least open a movie or something as we wait." Osamu muttered from the kitchen.Â
"Do you have something on mind?" You asked, feeling weird at how soft he suddenly was acting. "No, pick one."
"Okay," you muttered to yourself, emphasizing the 'o'. You thought of opening a volleyball match, Atsumu always liked it when you did, and maybe he would- no, why were you even thinking of what he would like? He told you to open whatever, hadn't he?
Still, despite reasoning with yourself, you were jittery as you opened a random comedy show from Netflix. Trying to focus your thoughts on the show playing, you did your best not to think about the silver-haired boy inside, failing miserably by how your mind wandered to him and the odd way he was acting today.
"Say, ya never gave me an answer as to why yer friends with 'Tsumu." He entered the room, carrying a tray with two plates and forks inside. The crooked smile on his lips was making your heart beat twice as fast, even though you didn't want to admit it, and the way he focused on holding the tray on balance, the slight crease between his furrowed brows. Osamu Miya was too handsome for his own good.
"Thanks," you muttered half-heartedly as you took the plate from him, not even aware it was an olive branch he was sticking out. Osamu's face fell when you didn't spare him or his food another look. "You never gave me an answer of why you don't like me, so I guess we're even." You laughed, smile wavering when he didn't laugh along.
He sighed, eyes glancing at you and then back at his hands. It made you antsy, making you feel like something was wrong.
"You chose this to watch?" He turned back to the not answering you. He shifted in his place when you hummed, "I can change it i fyou want." The way he hadn't made fun of your choice of the movie yet, was too uncharacteristic of him.
"No, its okay." He answered instead, ending the conversation -if you could even call this one. You ate in silence, tv playing in the background, though neither of you cared of it, your gaze meeting now and then until you couldn't take it.
"What is wrong with you?" You couldn't help but blurt out, turning the TV off and facing him. You watched him as he quirked his brow up, looking at you questioningly even though he knew what you meant.
"What is wrong with me?" He repeated.
"Why are you being nice?"
He turned back to face the tv after a beat of silence, looking somewhat... shy? What the-
"Wh-what was that?" You asked when he mumbled something, the answer so silent that it was inaudible. "I said," Osamu repeated, eyes still focused on his plate. "You told me you didn't like me because I- uh, I was rude."
His voice was still uncharacteristically quiet, but this time you heard him loud and clear. That didn't mean you understood it, though.
"What do you mean?" He heard you ask, your voice laced with something resembling suspicion, you scoffed when he stood quiet, standing up to your legs and picking your plate off from the table. "If you're trying to tell me you want me to like you, I'm not buying it."
"You're not buying it?" He repeated, mirroring your movements and standing up, making you realize how much taller he was than you. The way he was looking at you- what was it, hurt? No, it couldn't be. Anger would be more like it.Â
"Is there no way of winning with you?" He asked, following you to the kitchen and placing his plate a little too roughly on the counter. "You say you don't like me because I'm rude. I try to be nice and you fucking ask me what's wrong with me? What do you want me to do, disappear?"
Now, there was no denying that Osamu was, indeed, hurt, as his face soured when you stood quiet, staring at him blankly at his question. "So you hate me this much." He muttered to himself, running his fingers through his hair.Â
"I don't know why you expected me to like someone who has been nothing but rude to me since the moment we met." You shrugged, but a part of you wanted to tell him it was a lie, and despite everything that you- well, you liked him.Â
The glare he sent your way was enough to make you choke on the breath you took, taking a step forward to you, close enough for you to feel dizzy with his scent.
"Well, that concludes it, I guess. This was stupid, anyway." Osamu muttered, but he was so close- so close that you could almost feel the heat radiating from him, your eyes fixated on his lips, and if you just leaned forward- a few millimeters was all there was.
"What was- what was stupid?" You whispered, noticing his gaze was also wandering on your lips. Your heart suddenly started thundering in your chest, and you couldn't even ask yourself what's happening? What are you doing?
"This,"Â Osamu breathed against your lips, his gaze so intense over you that it sent chills down your spine. He finally leaned forward, doing what you wanted but couldn't do, the word "apologizing," being the last thing you hear before you felt his lips on yours.
It was a soft kiss, nothing similar to how you thought Osamu would kiss -not that you had thought on it, or so you told yourself-, this kiss was deeper, irrational, amazing.Â
"Do you always apologize to people by kissing them?" You asked when he pulled back, smirking at the way your chest heave, feeling a tinge of pride at how breathless he had left you.
"Hm?" He hummed, not wiping that damn smirk off of his face, it even grew wider when he noticed you pressing your fingers on your lips, still in shock, "I don't apologize to people."Â
It was true.Â
No one had ever seen Osamu Miya change his opinion about something, about someone. He would never admit he was wrong yet apologize.
But here he was, standing before you -just as breathless as you were-Â apologizing.Â
"Maybe you should apologize more." You told him with a sly smile, to which he happily complied.
~
"I wanted to make peace." He told you, sitting on the couch right beside you, refusing to look at you, though. "I've been trying to act nice for a while now, but you seem to- you don't like that."
"A while?" You repeat. "You were never nice to me!"
"I was trying." His brows furrowed at your protest. "But you always had something snarky to say, and I couldn't just stay silent, could I now?"
"But- what? You were always the one who started them!"Â
"Was I?" He asked, giving you the time to think, watching your face in disbelief fall into a look of 'fuck, he's right.'
It was you who started the fights, despite thinking it was him all this time. Upon recognizing that, you started to see the times he actually was nice to you, which you had always discarded or turned a blind eye.
Biting your lip guiltily, your turned to him. "I might... owe you an apology." You muttered, very aware of how his eyes glinted, gaze falling back on your lips. "Well," he told you, smiling. "I can't disagree."
