I crave being able to/having money to/having time to play all the sonic games so I can fully understand sonic & have more to do hobby wise

I want to really be a true sonic fan and learn all I can about these characters, even if the thought of this overwhelms and scares me. Sonic was my comfort in childhood when things were tough, he was my edgy kid phase, he and tails were my shoulders to cry on when I was alone, sonic has been there for it all really. I never did really LEAVE my interest in sonic, as my creativity and mind were always in some way grounded to him and fnaf.

I want to learn more about sonic, western to Japanese iterations, so I can really know and respect my childhood hero. I both want to know what sonic is the true/right sonic and want to see the sonic people use as the more flexible-with-characterization self. I want to feel disappointed and sad when he's not characterized right just as much as I adore the idea that sonic's inconsistencies are just because he's not ever one sonic to look to, he's a sonic for everyone and it's all a multiverse we look into and decide which ones we want to follow

I dont know who I'd be or what I'd do if I hadn't had known about sonic at all
