If you’re still taking requests for these whumptober days, for nightmares how about hurt/comfort Wild whump where Legend’s doing the comforting. (Alternatively Wild happening to be the one awake for one of the Vet’s nightmares could also be interesting.)

For voiceless maybe Wild has a mutism episode while with the chain & has an identity crisis about it. (“Oh no am I becoming like my past self,” that sorta thing.”)

& if you need ideas for Only For Emergencies that involves something other than the FD mask… how about one of the medallions (they’d be tricky to use in a large group) or perhaps the magic cape of invisibility. Maybe Legend gives one of the Chain members something & tells them to only use it in an emergency (lo & behold an emergency happens of/c). If it’s Wild he can hold off on using it for as long as possible in-part b/c he’s afraid of breaking it?

Oh oh anon you can't do this to me, now it's a two parter in my head. Legend comforts Wild one night and gets comforted another. Why are you cursing me like that, I am so unable to shut up this will be 3k words !!! (Joking here, thank you for giving me ideas !)

Hmmm I like the idea of a mutism episode ! It might not end up being Wild, though, I'll think about it. I do have some headcanons about how verbal the Link are/were ; I'm thinking about Four or Warriors too. Ahhhh, I’ve been thinking about how this would play out~ This reply is super late, but hey, better late than pregnant, as Blanche would say XD

ANYWAY, so Tenzin stayed by Lin’s side as she slept. When she opened her eyes and saw him, she thought she was dreaming. Tears started to well up again, and Tenzin’s heart ached as he looked at her features. It had been seven long years, and he realized just how much he missed her.

Lin then whispered, “Even in dreams, I see you… Tenzin… What do I do? I still love you… Please come back to me… You can’t marry someone else. It’ll be the death of me…” Her eyes were filled with tears as she reached for Tenzin’s face. As soon as their skin touched, Tenzin grabbed Lin and embraced her tightly. For years, he had longed for this moment.

Lin, shocked and trying to process what was happening, pulled away and said, “What? This isn’t a dream? What the hell are you doing here?”

Tenzin replied, “I came back for you, Lin. If you still want me back.”

Lin started crying and said, “You jerk!” She pulled away from the embrace, looking up at Tenzin’s face as she started hitting his chest, her frustration and pain pouring out. “I… I sent you letters… I tried reaching out to you… I went to the Air Temple, and they told me you didn’t want to see or talk to me anymore… Do you know how painful that was for me to hear? But seeing that wedding announcement… that was the worst. You absolute jerk!”

Tenzin’s own tears began to fall as he looked into her eyes. “I’ve been so miserable without you, Lin. I didn’t know… If I had known everything you did to reach out… if I had known how much you were hurting, I would’ve come back to you in a heartbeat. I’m so sorry for causing you so much pain. It’s all my fault for running away, and I’m sorry for putting you through this.”

"What about the wedding?" she said, her voice still trembling with emotion.

“There's no wedding,” Tenzin said. “Some people, the acolytes, were behind it. I admit I brought someone home, thinking it was the right thing to do, but I was wrong. I came here to set things right, Lin. Us… You. You’re the only one for me, and this time, I’ll never leave you or let you go.”

He reached for Lin’s face, his voice softening as he added, "Oh, Lin. Words can't express how much I’ve missed you," and he kissed her. Lin kissed him back, making up for all the years they’d been apart. They had both longed for each other, and tears fell as they held on tight.

Outside the door, Izumi was eavesdropping, making sure everything was okay before she quietly headed out.

About your latest Zelda post. You can also emulate Zelda games if you don’t have access to a certain console or can’t afford old games. I played minish cap and wind waker hd entirely on my laptop. Of course if you don’t have access to a computer/laptop this is completely irrelevant but I feel obligated to mention it since it’s so easy and I love both Zelda games and game emulation

To answer your question: yes, it's consistent.

What sets it apart in ZD, however, is the fact that our poor, ever-suffering protagonist hasn't had the best luck while 'shopping', shall we say. As such, when faced with a decent human being who also happens to come with good assets, João can't resist pointing it out. In fact he does this several times in one chapter alone.

Legends also claim that the author became so engrossed in the telling of smut that she forgot just how many times she praised Abel's package. One can only wonder if this is true. It is.

Would you mind too terribly if I asked a follow up question?

Mostly curious about how Link would handle it if you (reader) quite literally are the type to not want to talk to strangers unless it can't be helped. The type who would literally fall right into all of his categories of 'safe' to not leave tied up somewhere. Only here's the catch- also a little bit manipulative with the knowledge of his yandere-ness? Like... Aware he views most people interacting with you as a threat of you possibly leaving so you do things like sit in his lap and play with his hair while talking to the other person. He's still getting attention but you're also still talking to someone whenever you actually need to talk to someone.

Link getting constant verbal praise and being told you don't plan on leaving him so he can just keep calm (and carry on lol).

Something of a sort of working together to curb those tendencies sort of deal? He tries his hardest to not be unfair since you were so willing to go with him but at the same time you know some things won't ever change really and try and accommodate/keep him calm in certain situations. You're stuck with him so you may as well make it as comfortable as you can right?

How would he handle that? Would he ever catch on that that's what you're doing? Would he approve of it or be less trusting of you after he finds out you're doing it to help keep him placated?

Sorry for taking so long to answer this I lost the will to write for a long time. Still, I'm here now and this man still lives rent free in my head. I love the idea of both hard yanderes and soft yanderes and I think several different Links fall on different parts of the scale. I may talk about the chain and that au as a whole here soon but that's a lot for right now.

What to do with himself. It was the rollercoaster of emotions Link hated the most. Taking time to himself and figuring out who he was when alone wasn't the issue. The hero could deal with working on himself as a person. Rather it was the up and downs his heart sent him on. No regular person knew or talked about love like this. Even the most recent and tame feelings felt like he was at his core wrong. 

You assured him you didn't mind his actions and that he was ok but no matter how many sweet words you offered when you left to go to town this morning he had to leave the house to not be driven mad. It was a genuine struggle not to follow you out to the market. Sure hiding in the boring alleys wasn't the best way to spend his time, but it would be time spent with you. Sort of. Not really. It didn't have the same effect.

So he bit his tongue, nodded, and took a walk. Wallowing in the troubled waters of his own emotions. Taking deep breaths and listening to the sounds of nature to ground himself. You never intentionally spent so long away from him. Something just didn't feel right not having you by his side. He was bleeding from a wound he never knew he had until you walked away.

Which was the issue. You rarely left his side. Rare occurrences could be forgiven but what was he to do with the emotions? Link sighed and struggled to figure out if an honest traditional relationship was good for him or not. Monsters could kill you. Nightmares of your death plagued his mind. Even as he made his way back home he could only remind himself of your might and that the world wasn't as bad as he thought.

It felt like a curse was lifted when he opened the front door to see you standing in the kitchen chopping vegetables. He grinned from ear to ear as he watched you cut the food and add it to the pot. He moved around you and set a pot of water to boil for tea. Something to help calm his nerves. You placed a kiss on each cheek and it reminded him why he was so in love with you to begin with.

This has been the longest he's gone without acting on his impulses since he first met you. It was both rewarding and daunting. Each time his feelings came up they got harder and harder to ignore. What if you realized how strange he was and really did leave? This line of reasoning only made it harder to calm himself.

Yet that wasn't an issue when he was with you. The fear just sort of dissipated as he settled by your side as you worked the knife back and forth. Talking was never Link’s strong suit and he loved not having to talk around you. Somehow you always knew what it was that was on his mind. Like clockwork you moved over to him and placed your head on his shoulder. Releasing him of whatever weight had settled on his shoulders.

The old problem with familiarity, he couldn't go back to the way it was before. You tw knew each other too well. This was just proof that he was meant to be with you. He would stay good if only he could have a hundred more moments like these. 

Then came a voice. A small cynical thought that rocked the calm waters of his mind.

If we take them then we never have to worry. If we mark them before they have a chance to leave we never have to worry. He sighed audibly. You leaned against him. Right on cue there you were. Making him feel almost cheesy. You reacted to the stress that you saw on him, and it almost relaxed him again. A voice shook him in horror; if we seem distressed we can get more affection.

He shook his head. This was insane!

Your hand went to touch his cheek and he moved away. Checking the pot by the stove instead. Busying himself with the thought of tea. Maybe if you didn't touch him you wouldn't be stained as well.  For once his heart existed outside his body. It was amazing and terrifying. Something to be experienced with care, not to treat like a toy.

a little snippet below that I wrote almost as an outline for what was above;

I can see Link being the type to both love and hate the feeling of being manipulated. It depends on your reasoning for it. It can't be helped; he plans for the worst and expects the best. Years of training tells him that he needs to be on the safe side, and his heart says you're too good to lose. The leash stays tight until he can be sure.

It isn't until you talk with him he feels bad. He knows these feelings can't be helped and it isn't his fault. You brush the worst parts of him aside and love him regardless, willingly, and without hesitation. And there he goes slipping into the idea you can't feel afraid of him. He takes your hands into his and apologizes to you. Asking if there's any way you can forgive him for being so abrasive.

Time passes and the two of you work together. it gets to the point that he doesn't mind it as much. Bit by bit he finds himself slipping. Longer walks, more time you spend is away from his eyes, and the actions taken by you all show him he’s safe. He worries but he starts to find himself worrying a little less. 

So he does nothing but express concern with his eyes and holds you close. Each word cuts close to his heart and he can't help it. You're just so… out there for him. He's never lost someone so close and not paid for it dearly. He will lose you one day, but not today. It could never be today.

This is the drinks anecdote in fuller picture: "at the end of the night, she said "I want a drink" and I looked at her and I was yknow awed and I said "a drink drink or- or water?" Like are you seeing the mental picture i physically cannot be coherent about this. are you kidding.

yeah streamers au!!!!! :D i'm thinking all of them also upload their own videos on youtube too, but some originated as streamers and some as youtubers (more streamer au hcs under!!)

like i said in the other post, i think zelda would be analogous to someone like pokimane or valkyrae, and does variety/just talking streams. i don't think she would take advantage of or even be aware of her simps/e-girlism, she's actually very sweet and a just bit naive :'>. she probably already collaborates a lot with urbosa, and has on done a video or two with mipha. i would say she probably started off streaming first and then eventually starting doing youtube to post her vods, then make her own videos

mipha would kinda be like the qtcinderella and urbosa would be like. corpsehusband lowk ☝️😳 mipha does a lot of cutesy stuff like acnh and stardew valley playthroughs, maybe cooking & baking videos, and also like lifestyle videos like GRWM or 'day in the life' vlogs. her first video was a first aid video because she wanted to be a pediatrician when she was younger 🥺 urbosa started off as a youtuber and is one of those like old legendary youtubers who's still around so she's seen the rise and fall of the internet fr. she's very wise and she's zelda's favorite youtuber growing up, role model, and mentor 🥺 mipha probably also watched some of urbosa's videos growing up and cites urbosa as one of her inspirations when she started her own youtube channel :)

revali absolutely started off as a streamer but he excels as a youtuber, as expected. he does a lot of speedrun or challenge streams/videos of video games and i lowkey think that he has beaten quite a few speedrun records, only bested by link who he has an ongoing rivalry with because they keep beating each other's records. revali mostly does stream highlight videos, but every once in a while he'll do a fun little collab video with someone else or on the rare occasion, a vlog or a grwm 😧 someone asked him how he keeps his hair so nice on stream and he was so proud he ended up making a whole video about his haircare routine, what products he uses, etc HAHAHA

link is definitely the type of guy who made dumb little videos as a kid but eventually evolved into a full-fledged content creator with high quality videos and excellent ideas. he definitely does a lot of nintendo game videos (people adore his acnh playthrough series and his collabs with mipha 🥺), but i think he would also upload a lot of like. scenic videos of places he's traveled to or hiked at because he's pretty good at filming and editing. link def found his love for streaming and speedrunning on accident by, get this— watching one of revali's streams 😳😳😳 but he forgets that it was by revali 😭 link is like, This looks fun I want to try, so he does and is actually really good at it. so he ends up streaming the same exact games that revali did and beating his records, and revali would get pissed that his records were getting broken, and thus the rivalry was born!

what daruk does as a streamer or youtube still escapes me though like i just don't know what he would do. i can't even see him streaming KDJHFKJD like what would he do? maybe make reviews videos about old gaming systems, retro games, or reviews on his favorite restaurants or something LOL feel free to offer any ideas for him bc i'm lost lowkey

thank you, I'm glad to hear it!! my other main hobby is playing video games, I love baldur's gate 3 right now... I also play a lot of story games and..... league... of legends (stares with guilt)

besides that, I love collecting, I collect akis of course but a lot of other things like figures and pokemon tcg :) I also love a lot of other anime and manga besides chainsaw man, like madoka magica, dorohedoro, witch hat atelier, frieren, bocchi... just to name a few faves

Karlach glanced over at the curious stranger, as she sat at the dock at Baldur's gate. She had offered to help the fisherman in exchange for getting a few fish in return so why not? If she could get a few of those large creatures, it would be a win-win for both of them! A little chuckle left her lips as she waved her hand at the stranger to come sit next to her on the dock.

"Aren't you a curious fellow? Well, In truth, I'm not much of a seafood person. Don't get me wrong, seafood is great; I'm not a picky woman," Karlach turned the wheel of the fishing rod a little bit to tempt whatever creatures lingered in the depth of the harbor. "But, you have to eat a lot of fish to sustain this body. It's better for me to each red meat, I love a good Rothe burger or some steak from a cow. But I don't mind having some fish, It easy to please this girl," Karlach mused as her head snapped to the pole as it pulled and was played with but the fish hadn't bit yet.

"Grilled fish is probably my favorite in terms of seafood. Drizzle some sweet syrup on it too, mhmmm, that's good stuff there. But I prefer a heart medium rare meat. Now that I'm back on the material plane, I can eat normal food and not.... well, let's just say what they serve in the hells... you don't want to know," Karlach said, refusing to express how she's had to eat dwarf, spider, or blighted vines. It was a terrible place to try and find regular food or drink and it was always the worse tasting shit.

"But my favorite food had to be Barbecued Rothe with some mashed potatoes and a side of greens. It is absolutely delicious! The sweetness of the meat with some potatoes and then you gotta have your greens. Ma always said greens make you big and strong when I was a kid, so of course I listened. I actually love my vegetables if you cook them right. These have just the nice kind of dressing that has a tang to counter the sweetness. Mhmm.. now I'm getting hungry," Karlach laughed before suddenly the fish took the hook.

"AH! Watch out there buddy, I'm about to reel in a real beast!" Karlach laughed as she got to her hooves, pulling on the fishing rod as she reeled in the large fish she managed to catch on her hook.

❤️: I tend to have little snippets of lines in each short story/fic I write that stick with me, but the one I’m proudest of right now is in “if i love you more in morning (or I love you more at night)”:

I really felt like that line struck the balance I wanted between atmospheric tenderness and character introspection, because Percy cannot turn his goddamn brain off to save him and he knows all too well that Vex carries her own damage. He may think he’s irredeemable, but he’s seen enough darkness to know how to support her through her own — after all, if glass is already broken, why would it fear the sharpness of shards from another pane? 🤷‍♀️
