“today is episode two of the theme park archives! where essentially, we just go to different theme parks and rate rides, eat good food, vlog, etc etc.” you start off, before gesturing for riki to continue the introduction.

“oh, right! so we are here at universal studios hollywood. as you know, i was the guest on the last episode at disneyland. so of course, we are introducing a new member today.” riki finished, before flashing a slight smile.

you took the camera out of jungwon’s hands, flipping it around so it would face him.

“jungwon nation! this is yang jungwon, @/yanggoyang on streamlab or twitter.” he cheered, while waving, greeting the viewers.

“first, we’re gonna head to super nintendo world. so, l-e-t-s g-o!”

“that’s what we decided to call it? theme park archives?” riki asked as the recording ended. “yeah. don’t worry about it.” you pout.

even though your camera was nearly confiscated, you were still able to obtain a few clips of the three of you on the mario kart themed ride.

one of which, (of course), showed jungwon squealing in delight as you reached the ‘rainbow road’ part of the ride. it was a memory you knew the three of you would be fond of, and one the fans would enjoy.

“so, jungwon, how was your ride experience as a mario kart enthusiast?” riki asked jungwon as he waved the camera in his face.

“it was absolutely amazing! we have to go back before we leave. the rainbow road part was so trippy, but i loved it. 10/10 experience, yn nation, i heavily recommend this ride.” jungwon spoke, tapping the camera lens.

“where should we go next?” you asked, as riki pulled the camera strap over your head, so you could wear it as a crossbody.

“let’s go ride that 3d transformers ride!” jungwon exclaimed.

“i’ll race you there?” riki posed an offer. “okay, 3, 2- hey, not fair! you cheated!” jungwon grumbled as riki ran ahead before the countdown.

you sighed as they raced through the crowd, running to be first before the other. quickly, you tried to pick up the pace, but couldn’t catch up to their speed. especially since they were at an advantage in height. so, you settled to continue speed walking.

but, you stopped when you heard someone call out your name. a girl, appearing to be around 15-17 approached you.

“excuse me yn? im such a big fan. i was wondering if i could get a picture with you? unless you’re in a rush, because if not i totally understand-”

“of course you could. no worries.” you politely ended her rant, before smiling softly.

you left with a smile. riki was definitely gonna hear about this later.

“yeah of course. and don’t worry, it’s my treat.” you smiled, before getting up from the bench the three of you sat on. “i’ll be quick.”

riki watched you walk away, making sure you were out of sight. “so listen, jungwon. i’m planning to confess to y/n later, and i kind of want to have her alone for this. so….” he trailed off.

“are you serious? i can’t be left alone!” jungwon pouted.

“we’ll just leave you in springfield! and then we can stop for donuts on the way back home.” riki offered.

“no, i wanna go to k-town in west hollywood.” jungwon negotiated. “that butterbeer maxed out my sugar limit for the day.”

“alright, we can do that.” riki shrugged. “but you should start to get going now.”

“what are you gonna tell y/n?” “just that you met up with some friends.”

“alright. good luck man.” jungwon sighed as he stood up, before patting riki’s shoulder.

soon after, you came back with two frozen butterbeers in hand. “where’d jungwon go?” you questioned.

“he went to meet up with some high school friends by the simpsons ride. but we’ll see him later.” riki shrugged while he took a sip from his cup.

“let’s go on the jurassic park water ride then?” you suggested.

“look at the dinosaurs!” you exclaimed. “they’re just robots..” riki huffed, as the ride came to a stop, before making a sharp turn.

“you’re such a pessimist riki.” you rolled your eyes.

suddenly, the ride progressed into a more indoor atmosphere, and the lights flashed red.

“you know there’s a drop, right?” you informed.

“how high?” “about 90 feet.”

“shit.” riki cursed under his breath.

now or never. he thought.

“y/n, there’s something i wanted to tell you. and i didn’t know how to say it, but now i do.” riki confessed.

“what did you wanna say?” you hum.

the ride accelerated, progressing quickly towards the dark tunnel at the end of the scene.

"i wanted to tell you how much i like you. and that i was hoping you'd feel the same." he spat out in one quick breath.

you turned to meet his hazy gaze with a shocked expression on your face. “what?” your eyes widened.

riki quickly moved his fingers off the railing, and went to grab onto your hand. the t-rex animatronic dropped down and roared out loud, as the ride began to tip further over the edge, before finally accelerating down the steep slope.

“i like you choi y/n! i really do!” riki yelled over the loud noise of the artificial waterfall, gripping onto you tighter as he felt like he almost flew out his seat due to the 90° angle drop.

the ride quickly stopped, and a big wave of water crashed over the two of you because you decided to sit up front.

you and riki turned to face each other with deep eye contact, before breaking out into an fit of laughter. the two of you were soaking wet, but you didn’t care, you were just having a good time.

“did you mean it?” you asked.

“every last word.” riki mumbled, before you pulled him into a soft kiss.

your hand reached up to grip his shoulder as riki began to deepen the kiss, sighing against your lips.

but then you realized. you were in public. the park was near closing time, meaning there were few people around you.. meaning that they were just watching.

“jungwon isn’t meeting up with friends, is he?” you asked with a raised brow. “no, i got rid of him. but we compromised.” riki said with a proud smile, as you walked out the exit.

“i like you too by the way.” you mumbled, as the two of headed towards the escalator to go back up to the main part of the park.

“i know.” riki assured while he wrapped his arm around you, after giving you his sweater. “i know..” he muttered again, before pressing a final kiss on the side of your head, as you leaned closer against him.

"honey, help your dad with the bags." it was that time again, your biannual family trip. Summer was here and it was time to unwind and relax.

here you were again, at the airport getting ready to go. you were sitting at the airport's many food courts with your parents when you saw him again. even your own parents were shocked when they realized you still remember the boy you met last year, a boy you only talked to for 25 minutes. placing your hot chocolate which would now be forgotten as you ran 4 tables down to where he was.

"jay? my black cat jay? that's you right?" you were met with another warm smile from his parents and a confused stare from jay. third encounter / 9 years old

it wasn't a long wait to see him again, because in a few months. you met him again. this time, he wasn't so reluctant to see or talk to you. this time, he was actually having a great time playing games with you. so much fun that his parents were filming the two of you so later on the plane his parents would tease him and say he has a crush on you. oh, and your parents would do the same.

"isn't it funny how we only see each other at the airport and never anywhere else?"

fourth encounter / 18 years old

you sighed for the nth time because you were sitting in the same uncomfortable airport benches. your friend decided it was better to arrive at the airport 4 hours earlier than boarding time. your apartment in seoul was only 20 minutes away from the airport, but for some reason you were here at the airport earlier than you wanted.

to kill time, you were walking around the airport's duty free. distracting yourself from the excruciating time wait. while you were doing so, you noticed a bunch of cameras when you reached back to your gate. you said whatever and walked past to explore the airport you have already been in.

"why can't we go back to our gate, we are definitely not going to have any seats left" your best friend whined as she tried to drag you back to the gate. "who else is going to arrive when our flight is in 3 hours?"

after a few minutes of bickering, you decided to sit down and give your legs and feet a break from all that walking. going back to the gate, you scanned the camera crew and what they were filming, you took notice of seven good looking guys, assuming they were actors or singers. you shrugged and minded your own business and sat back in the seat you and your best friend sat earlier.

debating whether or not to approach you or not, was it okay? did you even remember him. it has been 9 years and you both grown up so much. shortly after, you sensed a person sitting next to you. typically, your younger self would have greeted them but now that you were a young adult, you realized and found out that not all people are nice. so, you sat there in silence, still scrolling on your phone with your headphones in. only for that peace and serenity to be taken away from you when the person next to you took one of your headphones off. "you're not even going to say hi?" it was jay, your black cat.

fifth encounter / 20 years old

today was a little weird. you always found it easy to get through the airport with no problems. but today, you had time to find parking, to get through a crowd that usually was never there. upon reaching the entrance, you noticed so many girls holding up their phones and waiting on someone. you shrug your shoulders, thinking it's just another celebrity going overseas for a work schedule.

either way, you got to your gate and sat at the waiting area near your gate. sipping on your coffee as you replied back to the "safe travels" text you got from your family and friends. as you were watching tiktoks, you stumbled upon a video of jay and his group. it's been two years since the last time you saw him and both of you didn't even think of getting each other's numbers or social medias. but then again you did not want to distract him or get him in trouble if ever.

but luckily, you again, have the same flight to germany. he splits from the group and decides to sit next to you despite the manager calling out to him. "oh, c'mon we always meet at the airport, why you still shocked i'm here?" you nudge him in the shoulder and explain your side.

Usually animate vs. inanimate isn't marked in the way, say, masculine and feminine is (most of the time) in Spanish. Rather, animate and inanimate nouns are treated differently, and those differences end up getting codified.

As a sidetrack, consider mass and count nouns in English. These are definite noun classes of English that you have to understand to use the language well, but they're not marked, and generally not taught. The differences, though, are pronounced:

You can certainly invent contexts where the 😬 ones work, but they usually involve either (a) jokes, or (b) turning the noun into an opposite type via zero derivation. For example, imagine you're being served at a counter of improbable ice cream flavors, and after surveying them all (typewriter, Nintendo Wii Nunchuck buttons, forgetfulness, fig) you decide you want hot dog flavored ice cream, and so you ask for hot dog [flavored ice cream]. Now imagine a series of keychains with pictures of foods on them, and after looking at them all, you decide you want a rice [keychain]. In other words, the way to make the 😬 ones work is to take a naturally count noun and treat it like a mass noun and vice-versa.

The same logic that applies here applies to the development of animacy, but usually with different parameters. For example, inanimate nouns are more likely to be objects and less likely to be subjects. One very common phenomenon you'll see in language is the following (btw, @staff, if we could add tables to Tumblr, I would be so, so, so very happy):

Inanimate Subject: Noun

Inanimate Object Noun

The reason is the animate noun occurring as an object is a bit of a surprise, but is also common enough that it needs to be demarcated or set apart in some way. An inanimate noun is much less likely to be a subject so language users don't care enough to make an event of it.

But look at that! Suddenly there's an animacy distinction in the language. It's pretty minor, but it can keep going. For example, as in Dothraki, sometimes only animate nouns are allowed an explicit plural. Inanimate nouns aren't conisdered important enough to distinguish. That is, it doesn't matter how much rice, how many rocks, how many shirts there are (if it is, there's numbers), but it is important to know how many sisters, how many cats, how many grandparents, etc. there are without having to ask.

Now imagine that being applied to the above system with subjects and objects treated differently depending on animacy. Suddenly animate and inanimate nouns look very different.

And you can keep going in this fashion. Eventually you'll have some full on noun classes that need to be taught explicitly.

"I think you play this game too much." Minho said, crossing his arms. Jisung could only shrug, standing up and stretching as the final results played. Jisung got first in the Grand Prix, while Minho got 5th and Hyunjin got 8th. "Find another hobby."

"No can do, sorry." Jisung said, watching Minho roll his eyes.

"Whatever." Minho said, looking to Hyunjin. "Let's do a round with just you and I, Hyunjin."

"Okay. I'm down for that." And with that, Hyunjin and Minho started a two-player race. And as they did that, Jisung walked over to the kitchen, looking for something to snack on. ITS A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE

I've returned from the art hyperfixation trenches and I've brought with me an approximation of an excerpt of a crossover fic I've been formulating and obsessing over for what must be weeks now 😂😅

The idea of Chazz, Atticus, and Alexis getting somehow sucked into the Mushroom Kingdom the Paper Mario 64 layout specifically hence Lava Lava Island lol started out as a joke, but the thought of Chazz and Peach hanging out in Bowser's dungeon together becoming unlikely besties while they wait for their silly boyfriends to come rescue them made it not a joke anymore and now, here we are 🤭🤭

Of course the dialog is subject to change when I get around to actually writing the actual fic and this sequence happens in context, but I approximated the gist of what's going on at this point in the story 😅

I guess he took notice cuz next thing you know he gifted you a brand new laptop with Stardew Valley newly updated.

So when Idia is off unlocking things, you are looking into the farm and making it pretty with what little guidance Idia gave you. 

✦ Half the time, Idia is spending his times in the mines or skull cavern to get you gems and materials for all the cute furniture you wanna make to decorate your home. The money he earns ends up spent on more seeds, more recipes, upgrading the farm and house, a brand new fishing rod to catch better fish and you always thank him with a kisses irl. And he doesn’t complain, cuz sometimes you do things absolutely hilarious that he can’t be mad at you since you’re a newbie at the game. Plus, you have an eye for design so he can come home to a cute house where you cooked some more food for him to take when he leaves for the caves again, he’s dying on the inside from just how cute you are.

It isn't until you are given the bouquet that you laugh at how he’s trying to settle down in the game faster than he would in real life. He’s a mess but he won’t mention it. Booting up your laptop and logging in, you find the farm decorated beautifully with flowers and enchanting sets. Idia had set up the whole wedding venue as a surprise before you got on. Sure you can place your favorite villages nearby as long as you guys can put your castle-like house at the very top of the island. Do you want beautiful waterways with a forest vibe? Of course you can, but as long as you have an enchanting rose garden that you both can sit in. And while you two share a house, he loves to decorate his room with historical art and the few gargoyles you’ve made for him in game. His eyes sparkle when he looks at your shared ‘Nest'. He loves when you make things for the two of you to spend time in, but if a villager gets in his way he will pout and plot against them.

✦ Speaking of the villagers, he adores them so much. For one, he loves how they are all so friendly and have the strangest of humor. Of course, they are characters in a game so none of them would be scared of him, but he loves how they all wave and smile at each other. His favorites are the deer and alligator villagers. He finds them oddly familiar as his starters are a sleepy deer and a loud, proud alligator. But other then that, he makes an effort to greet every villager they pass around the island and help them with their little task as a great king would. 

✦ When you both play together, you find yourself sitting in his lap and leaning back on his chest with your switch lite in hand. Malleus has a larger screen per request so that you can help him better, so he is able to hold you and play along. While fishing, he leans over and leaves kisses in your hair, smiling as you pout and complain about him distracting you as you watch the fish escape your grasp.

the holding hands, lingering kisses and copious amounts of hugs have been the highlights of your relationship. however, the inside jokes, the deep talks and the genuine comfort you feel from each other is what made you two progress further to your full potential of being inseparable from one another.

“yn, what’re you doing today?” kai asks through the phone, his head tilting to a cute angle to which his unstyled, blond hair brushes over his eyes. his hair is getting so long now, you think to yourself.

“I’ve just been cleaning the flat, really. wanna come over? I miss you.” you say, folding one of your boyfriend’s hoodies that he left because of that one time you didn’t want him to leave, as per. his scent is still as strong from when he applied cologne on the neck of the clothing; hints of sweet fruits with a floral touch. he knew how much you loved it when you’d nuzzle into the crook of his neck while cuddling.

whenever your flatmate was away he’d offer to stay over until they came back, and recently he stayed for almost 3 weeks. you never want to waste a day when you’re together, and if you don’t have many plans you would go for a long walk, at least once a day, if not every other day.

“you miss me?” he giggles. he knows that even being together for three whole weeks isn't enough. “what do you want me to bring over?”

this was a habit of his. always having to bring something over at your place, whether it be his nintendo switch console which would lead to never-ending rounds of mario kart or food, but you only wanted one thing. you place down the folded hoodie and pull an exaggerated thinking face, arms crossed with your index finger to your chin.

“I think you should just bring yourself, I can never get enough of you.” you wink at him and watch his cheeks gradually ombre into pink hues from your statement.

“I’ll be there in fifteen!” he chimes, rushing to end the call and get ready. you giggle to yourself, he's so cute and it's just so endearing.

there have been times where you were indecisive about your relationship, but not because you didn’t know if you liked kai or not, but because if things don’t work out you just hoped that it wouldn’t be awkward. thankfully, the both of you had the same idea to confess to each other — thanks to taehyun and beomgyu’s hard work in trying to push you guys to do so. now, being in this situation you can finally say that you’re at a good place in life.

a specific knocking pattern on the door was something you’ve been anticipating since kai ended the call, knowing that he does his cute little rhythm. he told you before that he only has two knocking patterns; the standard five knocks in a row and his little pattern he has only for you.

as soon as you open the door you find him holding a bouquet of red tulips, his tall figure almost hovering above you as he has this boyish grin on his face.

“I got you these tulips, but I’m hoping our two lips can meet instead.” he presents the bouquet in one hand from behind his back. he opens his arms for you to jump up and wrap your arms over his shoulders while his wraps around your waist.

your foreheads lean against each other before you chuckle while maintaining eye contact, “baby, you’re so cute, you know.” you whisper before tilting your head to capture his lips in a sweet kiss. his lips lingered a little longer, pecking your lips a couple more times before pulling away.

“I’ve missed you too.” he gives you a gentle forehead kiss before letting you get back onto your feet.

grabbing ahold of his hand you lead him into the living room where you expect him to get comfy, but as you go into the kitchen to grab him a glass of grape juice from the fridge he follows you, wanting to do it himself. you being stubborn, you do it before him and he admits defeat.

you can feel his body heat radiate behind you as you stand by the countertop and he gives you a long back hug, resting his chin on your shoulder and feeling his soft exhales hitting the side of your neck.

“I could have done it myself. you know this is like my home too.” he tightens his arms around your waist, nuzzling into your neck until you feel the hairs standing.

“I know, but I wanna do it for you, baby.” his hold on you loosens, but he doesn’t let you go. just loose enough for you to turn around with his arms still around you until he decides to lean against the countertop, trapping you in the middle. you lean back a little to see his expression, he’s trying his best to not break into a grin as you watch the corners of his lips itching to turn upwards. the pink hues on the apples of his cheeks were still blooming.

“you drive me insane, yn.” he kisses your temple, before taking ahold of the glass of grape juice you had just poured out for him, watching him walk into the living room so nonchalantly and finding an anime movie to watch together.

you follow after him and sit close enough for your legs to hang over his lap. you love the physical affection. even as best friends back then, the both of you would always be mistaken as a couple from the way you two would have your hands lingering together with the urge to intertwine, linking arms, and even from sharing food or drinks.

kai was someone you were happy with your parents meeting. your dad had already started to treat him like his son-in-law after you heard that they would go out to eat together while you were at work.

it’s almost like he was an angel sent to you, with every one of your loved ones approving of him from the very beginning.

“oh, do I now?" you tease as you playfully stick out your tongue.

"oh always." he matches your sarcastic energy, and you both laugh together for a moment. his gesture was the opposite of his words.

he brings his gentle hand to cup your face with his thumb slowly rubbing your cheek back and forth. you swear you could feel your heart about to jump out of your chest, you were hoping if it did that kai would catch it regardless. the motion was so endearing that you hadn't realised that the both of you had been staring into each other's eyes. his eyes were so beautiful. holding all things lovely and genuine with a hint of playfulness as he scans your face, which was reciprocating the same.

you sigh into the warmth of his palm, "I love you, kai."

his thumb stops moving and his eyes widen ever so slightly, "yn, I-"

"oh my god, I didn't realise. it just... slipped." a bashful smile replaces the shocked expression you had for a fraction of a second.

"so, you don't love me?" kai raises a brow, putting his hand down back on his lap.

"no! oh god." panic courses through your veins as you find a way to save yourself in this situation. "of course I love you. I love you so much you don't understa—"

you didn't get to finish your sentence, yet kai has pressed his lips against yours. the familiar warmth igniting in your chest as he tilts his head and you following after. you've never kissed anyone like this before, the type that makes your chest heave from the lack of air. the type that makes your heart pound so much that it's all you hear in your ears. the type of kiss that feels just right, knowing you have found your person, and it's kai. it's always been kai.

pulling your lips away, he chases them once more for quick pecks as if you're his favourite baked good from the bakery. your foreheads rest against each others, watching his lips transition from a held back smile to a full grin and an airy giggle.

"don't be silly, my love." he starts. "of course I understand. and I love you so so much that words are not enough."

"do you think our two lips should meet again?" you rest your head on his shoulder, facing his neck. he shudders from your warm exhales against his skin.

"I know our two lips should meet again," he kisses your temple. "and again," then to your cheek. "and again." and a final kiss to your lips, reuniting them once more.

Sapphic Games List Summer 2024

Welcome to the Upcoming Sapphic Games List Summer 2024. This is a series where I the divine goddess of the lesbians grace the video game information I painstakingly researched onto you my humble sapphic audience. This is not a review series or a series of pitches but a best guess series with some amount of impressions and details to give you an idea of games you might get to see yourself represented in if your a person who wants sapphic romance in their life. These are upcoming games so I really can’t promise their quality, the details, and even games with clear cut queer romance could idk pull a shocking homophobic ending or something so remember this is based just on trailers, demos, previews, interviews, and me asking questions to developers. These games are still in development, things can change and some of these are just strong guess although I try to make my reasoning make sense or put it in high probability rather than any other section.  You can check out the last two ones I did of these here and here.

I am making this before whatever Nintendo Direct in June happens, I attempted to wait it out but they hadn’t announced it by the 14th so I decided to simply wrap up this article. To that end I may do a quick extra addition with a few more games as I keep digging, which I am always doing plus whatever has potential from there if there is anything new.

Action Lesbians

Nova Hearts 

Nova hearts is a magical girl dating sim RPG. While a bit closer to a Visual Novel then say a persona game Nova Hearts still has solid evolving RPG combat paired with social sim mechanics that grow relationships between your main character and the cast both in the party and outside of it.  It's really cute and you can play the first chapter of the game yourself for free with Nova Hearts: The Spark.

Food Devils 

This might be more of a Make Your Own Gay but given the roster has 3 women and 2 men plus an avatar of your chosen gender it’s pretty hard but I guess possible to make it where the game ends in all MF pairings. That said I have a strong feeling that there will be some degree of canon queerness outside of player choice given the game has chosen to default to the female avatar and the main romance they showcase is her romance with another woman. It's an SRPG with base building and it seems like romances will go beyond the devils too and give the player some options to romance maids and butlers as well thanks to kickstarter goals being met. It seems like it's going to have like an interesting twist on some coz vibes of cooking food and romancing hotties. 

Sword of the Necromancer: Resurrection

A remake of an amazing Lesbian Roguelike game is in the works and set to be released probably pretty close to when this goes up. You play as sword Lesbian Tama who is willing to do anything to save Koko who eas tragically killed recently. You gain The Sword Of The Necromancer and use that to revive monsters and fight through the dungeon to gain enough power to revive Koko. 

Sword Of The Necromancer: Revenant

The original intended game from Sword of the Necromancer: Resurrection, Revenant adds a man to the fold which, yes boo, tomatoes, tomatoes [or at least it seems to] but it keeps our main two adorable lesbians in the plot after their happy ending and brings them into the fold in this new chaotic story remaining main characters. Spoilers for the above game I guess, the lesbians are unburied in one of the possible endings and this game follows that.  We'll have to see how it ends up working but Tama and Koko both seem to be playable in it and so it seems like you'll just have a little party to use in the plot. 

Abyss  X Zero

This game is getting a gay benefit of the doubt. The creators are queer, their last game is queer, I can assume somehow it'll be baked into the story of A and Z probably them being gay for each other despite them both needing to fight the other.  The games a 3d metroidvania with a super nice art style, some level of customization and two Playable characters. They look great and the game looks great, very cool action and really brimming with style. 

BRIGHT RED SONG OF LOVE

A new game being developed by Lily Valeen, creator of Boss Game. Boss Game was a game about girlfriends being gay and working gigs and fighting monsters so and this game looks gay too, so expect some gay ladies doing some cool stuff. All we have is screenshots and it’s probably like omega early in development but I wanted to mention it because lily Valeen made a really cool game and this is a great reminder to follow her and maybe check out boss game on Steam or on your phone or on Itch.io. 

Crescent County 

You ride on a motorbroom and try to make some cash cuz your broke as fuck. You are a gay witch looking for cute girls, new friends and new rivals, maybe all three at once. It looks really cool and fun and she kisses a girl in the trailer so I know it’s gay. It sounds like you might have several romantic options but it doesn’t seem like optional queerness just romantic options. I didn’t have a queer racing game on my bingo card of types of games I’d update y’all on or see but here we are, so cool, I love it. This seems like it has a queer dev team making a queer story in a new interesting way that I haven’t seen many games do. It sounds like the romance system is pretty neat too the dev mentioned that like you need a bed frame to have a girl over cuz she is going to have more self respect then to fuck you if you just have a matress on on the floor. So like, it sounds like a lot of fun.

Unbeatable 

You are a pink haired girl who beats up cops and is in a rock band and the cast seems to mostly be women, if you are not gay in this game I believe it to be a hate crime and I will fight the developers. The game looks incredibly cool and the stunning hand drawn animation is just great. It is a kinda rhythm game I think in a setting where music is illegal and you love doing crime. I’m sold on this game I just need it to be gay, that’s it. I’ve bought it in my heart already but make it gay please, please, please.  Also it looks like it’s tagged as LGBT+ so you know, it’s possible, I believe, I chose to believe. It looks too good to not be gay. 

Make your own Gay

Demonschool 

In This game you do tactical combat against a flurry of demons and build relationships with other characters. I had romances confirmed and well the trailer shows our main protagonist reaching for another woman’s hands. I also had confirmed there is some side stuff that isn’t the main character Faye with someone so there may be some canon sapphic stuff that isn’t just player directed and optional. This is a tactical RPG with shin megami tensei flare but doesn’t play like any other SRPG I’ve played even SMTs own SRPG, Devil Survivor. This game is heavily focused on unit placement and doing things in really tight deadlines. I hope they have an easy mode or something in the full release because I utterly love the social sim elements here and would love a bit more room to fuck up. On the sapphic end the roster seems to have tons of cute girls even outside of the probably intended to be canon romance girl there is a haughty rich girl who seems like a perfect enemies to lovers arc and a cool delinquent girl, there is a lot of range for a lot of dynamics but we’ll have to see how all of those systems work on release. 

Long Story 2

A very kid friendly visual novel type experience. It’s cute, it’s sweet, it’s simple and it’s the kind of soft story you can get excited about if you just want something wholesome to enjoy. You really Get to craft your story so it's very craft it yourself. 

Moonlight Peaks 

We really do not have a ton of details but it’s likely to release in 2026 since that’s when they said it would and have have a pretty strong publisher in Marvlous behind it. This is one of the most exciting farming sims I've seen. You play as a vampire and unlock new vampiric powers over time. It looks as if there will be 7 women who are different kinds of super natural for you to romance in this. Also an interesting talked about feature is the werewolf romance options might shift in personality a little on a full moon and stuff like that which makes for a neat way to push for a different vibe in a farming sims cast.

Monster Prom 4: Monster Con

The 4th game in the monster prom series, the potentially PVP dating sim is back at it again with more goofs, new monsters to fawn over and a new setting.  If you're fiending for more Monster Prom, Camp or Road Trip then you already are gonna be grabbing this but if you're new to hearing about this series or finally wanting to check it out because one of the characters designs it’ll be an exciting jumping on point. Romances are player focused, characters themselves though are canon queer sometimes having same gender exes and stuff. We have a canon queer trans woman as one of the main love interests this time so that is really excited and also a really cool set of two new women. If you come with a full party of lesbians as it stands you’ll have to fight over at least one girl given there is only 3 women to romance and 3 men but if your playing 3 players you can each aim for a different girl in a run if you want to avoid PVPing or simply play in single player for a chiller romance comedy vibe. This is a really silly game series that is all about the bits but there is a lot of good stuff even outside of the comedy. 

Arcadia Fallen II

Arcadia Fallen 2 is the follow up to Arcadia Fallen. The first game let you be sapphic and this game probably will also let you be sapphic as well. I think it’s a safe bet, they say there will be 3 body type so probably the typical choice of He/She/They pronouns with a chose whatever body suits you best choice. This should be a choose your own adventure style visual novel with a magical setting and while I haven’t played the first yet, I am keeping my eyes on this one’s kickstarter to see where it goes. The artstyle is gorgeous and it’s always nice to see artists from across the world making games where you can be sapphic, in this case some awesome Danish devs. 

Sensei! I Like You So Much!

This game bills itself as a fangirl simulator where you create your own favorite characters and geek out with fellow fans, take commissions and gather in community with others. My vine is this game will have no romance however, I feel compelled to bring it here because I mean you can be really into a lesbian ship and geek out with other women who are really into a lesbian ship or so it seems from the trailer. Obviously, like any of these I only have whatever the devs have said and whatever I see in trailers, screen shots, etc to go off of but it looked like you could make a girl and it looks like in the trailer they made yaoi so I am gonna guess you can make yuri. So, here we go, it’s sapphic but like, different than other sapphic games, probably, I’d personally be way more into romancing a fellow fan of something than a lot of other concepts for a dating sim so I’d love to be wrong and there is some secret dating sim element. 

Reanimation Scheme

It’s an Otome visual novel where you can date four men but also there is one sapphic wrote. I hate these kind of gender rations but hey, this exist, it’s upcoming, you should know about it, maybe it’s written super good. The art style is solid and if you like the design of the exactly one woman you can date in the game you can prep for some sapphic fun even if a lot of your time in the game will be interacting with men, You play as a Necromancer which is always really cool and ya, enjoy. 

The Crush House This is a reality show managing sim with a spooky mystery. It’s like putting you managing the sims lives in context where you try and push people to behave particular ways based on audience demands and what you feel like. You can make women be gay with each other and even run a show for Girls for Girls audiences and stuff so there is a lot cooking here for a silly and strange little game. 

Dragon Age: The Veilguard

Dragon Age, a little known indie series from abusive publisher EA from Abusive company Bioware now potentially hanging onto it’s last chance for life with a brand new game. Dragon Age is a fantasy roleplaying game where the people who look like lesbians are straight and the people who look straight are lesbians at least that’s the classic Bioware flavor.  This time though, unlike these other games, an actual queer woman is the director [after like 4 directors left] and she seems like a really cool person with good taste so I want her to be successful and for this game to not crash Bioware into the dirt like so many other studios under EA. You’ll likely be able to make a character of one of two genders and have them fill a role in this plot.  We know that every character will be pansexual in the game meaning you’ll be able to romance anyone and if you don’t romance characters they will romance each other. 

Grave Seasons 

Like farming sims, like murder mysteries, want to make sweet sweet passionate kissy faces with a murderer? Then Grave Seasons might be the game for you. You do typical farming sim stuff but a randomly generated one of the NPCs that are romanceable. You need to figure out the mystery, if the hottie you're making heart eyes at is the killer and if they are what you wanna do about it. If it’s not you might want to find the killer and fast lest your cutie get taken out too. At least that’s what it sounds like to me. There should be several women you can romance and it seems like a fun game to replay and a farming sim that puts the romance at the front even for people who want to be efficient because well you don’t want a bunch of people dying do you [unless you do]. 

Freeride

So this one is really making your own gay cuz I do not think they gender proto and proto is just supposed to be a stand in for you but I flirted with a cool looking bunny girl in the demo and she seemed to be into the conductor who was a demon girl so like maybe it'll even be explicitly represented in this. It's hard to know with so few details but you can gift people stuff and everything.  It's a physics based game mostly focused on choices and doing a secret personality test on you. 

Fable 

It looks like this Fable game just has you play as a woman, like I am just taking precedent here to say that romance to some extent will exist and you can in fact marry women. It be weird if you couldn’t so I’ll say that is very likely here. If you like RPGs with big budgets then this might be the one, it doesn’t seem to be as silly as some of the previous games but they weren’t always going for silly so I think the tone seems just about right. 

Narrative Games 

Cage of Roses

Lesbian vampires are always a good time. It's a visual about some lesbian vampires. You're in by the art style and visual novel or you're not. It sounds exciting to me. 

Rainbow Valley 

A game from yuri game developer and publisher Studio Elan. This is a collaboration with a monster high focused YouTuber and you can see the Monster High inspirations in the designs. I imagine this is really going to capture the vibes adult fans of monster high really have been wanting to explore while not being locked down by the big company. 

Tithe In Blood 

Another  game from yuri game developer and publisher Studio Elan. This is a darker yuri story about a woman practicing blood magic after the loss of a loved one.The romance and blood magic lead to a lot of deadly twists and turns. 

The Witch's Bakery

The Witch’s Bakery is a game coming to Kickstarter soon that’s about running a cozy bakery and being a little gay witch doing it. This game is coming to kickstarter at some point in the near future at the time of writing. It has a canon romance so I don’t think you’ll be picking who you swoon and instead you’ll get to play out a soft little love story while you bake, run a shop and make friends. 

Lost Records

Life is Strange and Tell Me Why Developers are back with a new game and the first trailer had the main four women of this plot kissing so it’s gay, that’s like locked in it’s not even like Life Is Strange 1 optional gay it’s just gonna be gay. It seems like a nostalgia trip featuring a bunch of sapphic women in the lead and that seems like the most perfect game for Dontnods main audience. 

Cabernet

A gothic vibe lays over this game, it tickles at horror while also not being terrifying, you are the vampire newly created and enter this society. This is another one that might be more of a Make your Own Gay but it’s vampires and that’s inherently gay so I gotta put it here. I had the devs confirm to me that this game will include gay romance and you can have your girl read Carmilla so as far as I am concerned I think her sexuality has a decent shot at being part of the narrative and not just an option. 

Tavern Talk

This is a game inspired by exclusively other queer games in the same style of those queer games, I am gonna say it’s safe to guess this is a soft little queer game that will take you through an interesting narrative perspective all while mostly being behind a bar and making drinks for people. 

Psychroma

This is a horror game with what seems to be a queer non binary protagonist but it may not be all sunny and rainbows, for sure prepare yourself for angst. The protagonist has amnesia and doesn’t remember who seems to be her girlfriend. This is a cyberpunk horror which is shockingly not a super standard combination despite the clear synergy between the two. It has a sapphic energy, it’s always hard to draw the line on a non binary character and if their sapphic or not before you get the context because well that’s a massive umbrella of genders, identities and feelings. Still the vibe test for me passes as sapphic and I am here to tell you about vibes, that’s the point of this series, I have an extremely high success rate and so I will take the shot here. If you're looking for something creepy and queer then this is for sure it even if the sapphic vibes are a false flag. 

Life is strange: Double Exposure

IDK if they’ll make Max and Chloe canon here or how they will right around it but also like the game studio making this game has a bunch of like allegations against them so I don’t particularly care too much. I do want to find out so I will look around for details but ya know I mentioned Lost Records earlier maybe look to that one instead if these come out around the same time at least. Otherwise, idk you do dialog and stuff in this one and mess with timelines. It does look like Chloe is dead so, you could go to your local library and read Life Is Strange: After The Storm for free instead, a possible suggestion too. 

Love Ghostie

Your a lil ghostie and you play match maker and you can make little sapphic pairings so, ya you can make sapphic stuff happen in this game and it’s like part of the point. It’s a very adorable game with very adorable little monsters and looks to be a great game to cuddle up and just live your best shipping life. 

Sigh of the Abyss Sigh of the Abyss is doing something really cool in the visual novel space and it’s bringing a feature I’ve wanted in games with mix gender romance for a long time to the table. You can in your options at any time say your looking to romance Men, Men and Women, Women or no one. In the game you play as a woman and the game defaults you to being bisexual but you can actually have it where the game simply does not have men push romance on you which is such a relief because it’s one of the world part of mix gendered dating games for me is being here for the women but having to be flirted with by every man and never able to say “Hey, I’m a lesbian.”  How deep these options will go I am not sure but it was really swift in easy in the demo. If you're looking for some dark fantasy story telling this seems like an exciting place to go for a story. 

High Potential 

Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines 2

I mean it’s got vampires and roleplaying like probably. Maybe it'll be too uptight and serious but we'll see what it's like. 

Sorry We're Closed

The games listed as LGBT and the main characters on the art and stuff are women so pretty clear. It’s a horror adventure and it seems really aesthetically unique, I think this is one to keep your eyes on it might just be a big new thing.

RPG Maker WITH

I mean it just depends on if people make a sapphic game in it and share it. It's like a game about making games. There's a good chance someone will want to make Yuri but also I wouldn't expect it near launch.

Ra Ra Boom

There is a vibe here, it's a beat um up which is a kind of game not famous for it's story but idk the vibe tells me these super cheerleaders are gay.  That’s all I got to say really, it looks fun and if it’s gay bonus points to me.

Fighting Games

So Fighting games are hard to cover on this because fighting game devs are cowards an also don't make their narratives compelling and their mostly about men with women relegated to the sides. I love fighting games though and I don't want to ignore them so I put just a general pin on potential sapphic characters dropping in 2024. Like Skullgirls recently added Marie who has some queer coding with Peacock and she's like a main villain so there's stuff. Guilty Gear Has a season 4 coming out which could add a story expansion and idk confirm Bridget is a lesbian. Granblue's next characters are likely datamined but there is a chance of a suprise appearance and many likely candidates are sapphic characters. Plus a new game might come out, maybe Diesel Legacy will have the cool mobster girl be a lesbian, we just won't know util stuff comes out. 

gillford academy 

This is an rpg putting a lot of emphasis on your choices mattering with characters. The characters are pretty young but there is a chance they might be sapphic at least in a if player chooses the right choices way. 

Mixtape

I think I saw a gay moment in this trailer. It's like 90s nostalgia the game, I have no idea how it’s supposed to play. I assume it's kinda standard narrative 3D gameplay  which I think is always a pleasant time.  I don’t know a ton about this game but I am keeping my eyes on it in the future that’s for sure.

Devlog #19: THE LAST DEVLOG BEFORE RELEASE.

Hello everyone! Welcome to this month’s devlog!

If you just stumbled upon this, I am Adrienne, also known as insertdisc5! I’m the developer, writer, artist, main programmer, etc of the game. The game being In Stars and Time, a timeloop RPG, which is also the next and final game in the START AGAIN series, following START AGAIN: a prologue (available here!).  You can find out more about In Stars and Time here!!! 

LET’S GET TO IT. This month is THE LAST DEVLOG BEFORE RELEASE?!??!??!?! URGHH?!??!!

My goodness. Can you believe In Stars and Time will finally be out THIS MONTH? NOVEMBER? TWENTIETH? TWO THOUSAND TWENTY THREE?!??!?!?!? Yeah turns out ME NEITHER so WE CAN FREAK OUT ABOUT IT TOGETHER.

So, as previously mentioned, In Stars and Time will be out on November 20th on Steam, itch.io, GOG, Nintendo Switch, and Playstation 4 and 5!!! We mentioned this previously, but we cannot guarantee they will come out at a specific time, nor guarantee they will all come out at the exact same time and hour and minute, but we will do our best! Hopefully “sometime in the morning for Canada” is the time. Don’t hold me to that though!

And for our announcement, we prepared a wonderful announcement trailer, animated by the lovely Mimi Chiu! Did you see it?!? Well, have it again.

In preparation for the release, we’ve been bringing our marketing A-game! I (insertdisc5) have appeared on The Completionist’s IndieLand Stream, and it was an absolute blast. I also reiterated my Big Hope for this game, which is that I hope ISAT makes you feel so many feelings. 

We’re also doing a Fanworks Contest on Twitter, with the prize being a key of the game on release!!! If you have something in mind, why not participate? We accept EVERY kind of art, from fanart to fanfics to cosplay to animatics to memes to even pictures of food! As long as it’s ISAT related, GO FOR IT!!!
