atsumu (the fave ever) for the ask game if you havent done him already :D
guy of all time tbh <3
uhhh many thoughts??? it's not super serious but atsuoi always get bullied a lot worse than most others by the fandom for surface level things like, y'all can't come up with something creative? also not to get off track with my feelings on insecure atsumu but that's another crime against him.
anyways i love putting this man into situations and balancing that out with his ego and confidence. he's so great i wish he was written accurately more often, even if only as a background character. also he embodies growing up in ways that are really personal to me lol. anyways i think about him a normal amount !
#was tempted for would kiss him bc if i would for anyone in haikyuu it would be him. but also no thanks <3#i got another atsumu ask but since it was abt the twins i'll just link it to this one :D#thank you for asking abt my specialest guy ever. i'm love him#haikyuu#miya atsumu#maz answers#goatedgreen#ask game answers

Yeah I’m also insane so I’ll bite
35 for Atticus
35. when did they feel the loneliest?
maz oh my fucking god . oh my god .
i think it was when he was in the brig. he had just lost his magic after killing the only person he had ever loved. he sat there for WEEKS on the ship , hearing people mill about and talk and never being able to talk back . having to sit in complete silence for weeks , living entirely with himself and having to think about everything he had done .

Chop Shop is strictly 18+ for language, themes, and potential explicit content.
🔗 - Game Intro | Bug Report | Ko-Fi
Episode Three is now available! (+ 86,000) - PLAY HERE
Get your first taste of the underground car scene.
Meet some other players in the game.
Be made an offer.
5 achievements up for grabs!
And more!
AN: thank you so much for the patience - i've been dying to put this update out. lots of new characters and lots of variation!! there are 3 major paths to choose between in this ep, i recommend trying them all out! and thank you to my betas for keeping me sane lmao
This update comes with a patch and UI refresh (Version 1.1.2) Notes are under the cut. If preferred, you can access them in game in the start menu.
STORY
EPISODE 01:
MC should now be able to smoke! Buying cigarettes at the shop was not triggering correctly. If playing with an old save, you DO NOT have to restart as code at the beginning of EP 03 has resolved the error. Player will need to restart if they wish to read smoking related scenes in previous episodes.
Updated MC Name selection. Player can now choose from a list of names instead of having to input one to proceed.
Player can now give Taha their chocolate bar if it's in their inventory.
When asking Maz about their scars, the second choice 'You want to ask about it but you're going to keep your mouth shut.' should now take you to the correct response.
Extended and updated 'End Game' scenes.
EPISODE 02:
If MC is faint after exiting the car, but also drunk, they should now get the fainting scene, followed by Dilani helping the MC in the bathroom.
UI + TECHNICAL
SETTINGS:
Autoname Save is now defaulted to ON. This is to add ease and flow to gameplay, especially for mobile, tablet, and app users, instead of calling for an inputted saved name. If player wants to input save names, toggle Autoname Saves to OFF.
Autoname Save previously only used the forename of the MC but now includes the surname as well.
Removed the Fullscreen toggle as it is only intended for desktop use. Player can still toggle fullscreen function via the UI bar on the desktop interface.
Added a choice indicator toggle. (This probably won't come into effect until EP 04 or 05)
Changed serif font from Vollkron to EB Garamond.
OTHER:
Changing the MC's pronouns via the Dashboard has been updated. Additionally, after confirmation will take player back to the Dashboard and not close the dialog boxes entirely.
Hovering over 'Personality', 'Motives', and 'Skills' titles in the Dashboard will now display an information box with a definition. Mobile and tablet users will need to tap on the title.
'Resume Game' now only appears on the main menu when there is an autosave in the saves log.
Choices styling changes.
General UI and button style changes.
Fixed errors with the text message styling.
Added styling for reading text off of a page in game.
Darkened blue in light theme 'Skyline' to reduce eye strain.
CREATE A SAVE
Introducing Create a Save! This feature allows players to quickly manufacture a save file and start at a later point in the game.
Set your identity, appearance, history, and statistics; including personality, motives, and skills. Continue to set key decisions made in previous episodes.
Randomise options available for creating a PC and key decisions.
OTHER
Fixed gaps and spacing issues.
Minor phrasing and sentence structure changes.
Grammar and typo fixes.
whew -- that's a lot of patch notes! apologies for so much that needed to be fixed.
this update shouldn't break/ mess with saves but as a disclaimer i will say, if you spot anything funky, broken, or you don't think things are triggering correctly, try starting a new save. the new create a save feature is incredibly code heavy, and it's been tested relentlessly, but i wouldn't be surprised if something crops up.
if starting a new save doesn't resolve your issue - please submit to bug report or just send me an ask/message.
some things have been meaning to get fixed for Some Time - thank you to everyone that is using the bug report form!
apologies if there are typos and/or bugs - this was a long one to edit and my lovely betas did an OUTSTANDING job reading so much for ep 3 - thank you so much again!!! this time i am going to give it a bit more time before i put together a patch so i can grab more error responses haha.
create a save has also added a wee chunk to the word count, somewhere around 6k, but i'm not including it in the episode 03 word count as it's purely code. so, if you think the total wc is off, that's why!
if you've read this far, happy reading and thank you so much for the continued support!! :) - becky <3

Can you do a blurb about tooney where reader is shorter than her.
sorry seems to be the hardest word II e.toone
"oh for fuck sakes." you grumbled to yourself, hunting around for your training jacket but unable to find it. "ella!" you yelled at the top of your lungs, unsure where your girlfriend actually was in your shared home, head still buried in your wardrobe as footsteps raced upstairs.
"ya called baby?" the girl appeared as her thick accent sounded behind you. "where is my jacket?" you asked her seriously, raising an eyebrow to show you weren't messing about. the smug smile on her face was all the confirmation you needed that she was up to her usual tricks.
"don't know love. have ya properly looked for it?" she asked innocently and your eyes narrowed. "we needed to leave five minutes ago and i am not in the mood. where the fuck is my jacket el?" you warned, your girlfriend gesturing for you to step aside with a shoo of her hands.
reaching up she grabbed it from the very top shelf making you sigh, deeply unamused. the taller girls most favourite way to wind you up was to pick on you for your height, specifically to hide things where she knew you'd need her help to get them down.
"now what would ya do without me hmm?" the mancunian grinned, holding your jacket out of your reach as you grabbed for it. "ah ah ah. now say thank you baby, i love ya." ella teased, stretching her arm up higher as you huffed.
"thank you baby, now give me my fucking jacket or i swear to god i'll kill you in your sleep." you smiled dangerously through gritted teeth, ella dropping the jacket on your head in response.
"short and fiesty. that's how i like my women!" the girl smacked your bum with a whistle as you were distracted with your jacket, the murderous look sent her way having her sprinting out of your bedroom.
"come on love! god you're always makin us so late."
~
at the training grounds, it would seem that this morning was only the beginning as ella continued to go out of her way to mess with you.
"you are joking me." you grumbled under your breath, returning from the bathroom to see your boots had magically gone missing from where they were previously sat under your cubby.
"maz did you see where ella put my boots?" you sighed to the older woman who sent you a sympathetic smile. "i only just arrived, stuck in bloody traffic, sorry babe." mary apologised as you nodded in understanding, spotting ella speaking with maya on the other side of the room.
"toone!" you growled in warning, maya seeing the clearly pissed off look on your face and hurrying away as you stormed over toward them. your girlfriend however seemed only amused at your reaction, spreading out with her hands behind her head and a smile on her face.
"ya called?" she sung out staring up at you. "where are my boots ella?" you asked, staring at her with a pained expression. "now why would i know that love? are ya losing your things again?" the midfielder pouted sarcastically making your blood boil further.
"go and get them, now." you demanded, pointing to your cubby as she remained unmoved and you heard the training staff blow the whistle to signal you were all expected on the pitch.
"ella!" you repeated with a slight whine when she didn't move. "tooney! get your girls boots, everyone knows you obviously hid them mate." mary stuck up for you, clapping your back with her gloved hand and pointing menacingly at your girlfriend before she filed out after everyone else.
"i think ya should cheer up baby." ella teased, placing a sloppy kiss on your cheek and sprinting out of the change rooms as you yelled after her. "the fucking cheek of her." you looked over to your cubby and from a distance were finally able to see your boots placed on top of your locker.
with a defeated groan you stood up on the bench of your cubby, but even stretching on the tips of your toes you were still unable to reach your boots.
glancing around desperately you jumped down and grabbed a spare corner flag pole from the training room, sprinting back and successfully knocking your boots down with it.
putting them on in record time you hurried out to the pitch, the rest of the girls already split up and having commenced the mornings first drills.
"y/l/n seven minutes late means seven laps. go!" marc called out as your body crumpled but you nodded, most of your friends sending you sympathetic looks.
you knew ella would be one of them but your body burning with anger at her you refused to look her direction, starting your laps and cursing the mancunian responsible to the high heavens under your breath.
~
if ella hadn't already figured out after your laps that you were pissed off with her, the fact you'd refused to look or speak to her at all since had really solidified that she had taken things too far.
all day she had been calling out encouragement your way, trying over and over to get back in your good books to no avail and much to the amusement of your teammates.
"dog house for you tonight then tooney." millie teased as you all finished for the day, headed back toward the change room as you walked ahead with mary and hayley.
"yeah mate give us a call once you're locked out, you can crash on my couch." maya smacked her on the back of the head as ella shoved her away with a dirty look, only furthering both girls amusement as the teasings continued.
"you can walk home." you spoke bluntly to your girlfriend, kit bag already slung over your shoulder not bothering to shower as you swiftly exited the change room, the whistles and jeerings sent ella's way causing her face to burn bright red.
"nope! you give her some space, i'll drive you home in a bit." mary grabbed the back of the younger girls top as she grabbed her things to hurry after you, pushing her back to sit down with a firm look as ella tried to protest but fell silent, instead sulking in the corner like a scorned child.
~
"go on then, grovelling time." mary pulled up out the front of your shared home, nodding for ella to get out as she took a deep breath, thanking the older girl and slipping out of the car.
she fumbled around with her keys, trying to open the door but frowning as it stayed closed.
"oh fucking come on." she kicked at the wood with a frustrated huff realising you'd locked the deadbolt, which only your keys had a copy of. "baby come on! let us in." ella whined, knocking loudly on the door and hearing footsteps come her way.
"oh sorry i'm too short to reach it." you spat bitterly, crossing your arms and glaring at the closed door as ella sighed, head thumping softly at the wood.
"love i know i took it way too far. please let me in to make it up to ya!" ella begged, flowers in hand ready to give to you that she'd made mary stop and allow her to buy.
"oh sorry can't hear you? your head is just so much further away from me since you're so much taller. hope the welcome mat makes a comfy pillow!" you mocked, and ella groaned louder as your footsteps retreated away from the door.
slumping down against the door with a huff ella wracked her brain on how she could try to get back in your good graces. she came up with one idea, but it was shit.
however unable to come up with anything else, she had no choice but to go for it.
so dropping her bag by her feet she cleared her throat and began to count herself in, you listening from a few feet away with a frown. unsure if she was trying to rile herself up to kick the door down, something you'd not put past her.
but much to your shock, she instead began to sing.
"what've I gotta do to make you love me? what've I gotta do to make you care? what do I do when lightning strikes me?" ella began to belt out the lyrics to sorry seems to be the hardest word to say by none other than elton john.
"oh my god." you mumbled to yourself, unable to stop the smile which grew on your face as ella continued, confidence growing as she sang louder and louder with each verse.
"it's sad, so sad why can't we talk it over? when, it seems to me that sorry seems to be the hardest word!" you heard her pause, as if waiting for the door to unlock or you to say something before she continued.
"what do I do to make you want me? what I got to do to be heard? what do I say when it's all over? sorry seems to be the hardest word!"
"baby are ya really gonna make me sing the whole song? the neighbors are out watchin me!" ella paused to yell with a groan.
"yes! keep going." you called back as you heard her sigh and continue, again getting louder and somehow more and more off tone with each line.
"what have I got to do? what have I got to do? when sorry seems to be the hardest word!" ella finished, carrying the final word on for at least thirty seconds before falling silent.
with an amused smile you shook your head and undid the deadbolt, swinging the door open to face her.
"thank you! she'll be here all week." you called out to your neighbours over her shoulder, waving at them on their front lawn with a grin as their laughter grew and ellas face flushed bright red.
grabbing your hand she gently pushed you back inside, kicking her bag in and firmly closing the door with a relieved sigh.
"did we learn our lesson then?" you enquired, crossing your arms over your chest and raising an eyebrow. "yes. no more hidin things!" ella sighed with a shake of her head.
"i am very very very very very sorry baby. forgive us?" ella asked hopefully, holding out the flowers to you which you accepted with a nod. "you are cooking dinner, cleaning up afterwards, giving me a massage and doing all the laundry tomorrow." you warned, ella nodding eagerly before she pounced on you, pulling you into a passionate smooch and mumbling yet another apology against your lips.
leaving her to take her trainers off and unpack her bag you made your way to the kitchen to find something to put the flowers in, popping them in a vase and grabbing out some juice to drink. though as you opened the cupboard to grab out a glass your eyes narrowed and your jaw clenched.
"ella why the fuck are all the cups and mugs on the very top shelf!?"

"Daenerys has done a lot of wrongs" and said are killing slavers
thanks for this one actually because you gave me an excuse to talk about that for a bit.
now first of all - i find it very frustrating that when people say “this was wrong” everyone defaults to “why do you care about slavers” when usually, when i’m talking about things dany has done wrong, i’m talking about mirri maz durr, sacking astapor, sexually abusing irri, and taking a profit off slavery. mirri wasn’t a slaver, she was a slave, and she was blood sacrificed by dany. sacking a city, regardless of who is in that city, is always messy and bad - ask Cleos the Butcher and the people he rules over how they feel about the Sack. Ask the people of King's Landing how they feel about their houses being set on fire every few decades. Ask Missandei how she really feels watching the woman she put all her faith in take a cut off the selling of slaves. Hell, Dany knows that Irri does not want to have sex with her and is doing it because she feels "obligated" because she's a slave and Dany still uses her as a bed warmer and then bars her from expressing an interest in Rakharo because she doesn't believe Irri is ~worthy~ of Rakharo (worthy to fuck but not to love and don't I fucking know about attitudes like that coming from white straight girls lmao).
But let's move past all of that (you certainly seem uninterested in talking about the personhood of slaves like Missandei and Mirri after all, despite ostensibly defending them here) and dig into the crucifying of the Great Masters. In fact, let's turn to Dany's own thoughts over this, bolded part mine:
In the plaza before the Great Pyramid, the Meereenese huddled forlorn. The Great Masters had looked anything but great in the morning light. Stripped of their jewels and their fringed tokars, they were contemptible; a herd of old men with shriveled balls and spotted skin and young men with ridiculous hair. Their women were either soft and fleshy or as dry as old sticks, their face paint streaked by tears. “I want your leaders,” Dany told them. “Give them up, and the rest of you shall be spared.” “How many?” one old woman had asked, sobbing. “How many must you have to spare us?” “One hundred and sixty-three,” she answered. She had them nailed to wooden posts around the plaza, each man pointing at the next. The anger was fierce and hot inside her when she gave the command; it made her feel like an avenging dragon. But later, when she passed the men dying on the posts, when she heard their moans and smelled their bowels and blood… Dany put the glass aside, frowning. It was just. It was. I did it for the children.
Immediately after doing it, Dany regrets it. She recognizes she did it while angry and impassioned and reckless, and that the deaths were agonizing, that she did it not for the children but because she was angry and humiliated. This scene has never been as righteously clean morally than people would believe from the moment it was on page! She recognizes she did a fucked up thing but rationalizes it away because she can't admit she made a mistake. She reflects on it later again as she's ruling Meereen:
She had not forgotten the slave children nailed up along the road from Yunkai. They had numbered one hundred sixty-three, a child every mile, nailed to mileposts with one arm outstretched to point her way. After Meereen had fallen, Dany had nailed up a like number of Great Masters. Swarms of flies had attended their slow dying, and the stench had lingered long in the plaza. Yet some days she feared that she had not gone far enough. These Meereenese were a sly and stubborn people who resisted her at every turn. They had freed their slaves, yes … only to hire them back as servants at wages so meagre that most could scarce afford to eat. Those too old or young to be of use had been cast into the streets, along with the infirm and the crippled. And still the Great Masters gathered atop their lofty pyramids to complain of how the dragon queen had filled their noble city with hordes of unwashed beggars, thieves, and whores. To rule Meereen I must win the Meereenese, however much I may despise them.
She lets the bodies of the people she wants to rule rot, the smell lingering in the plaza for weeks, reminding the people she is trying to make peace with that she can and will viciously murder their families and gloat over their corpses and they cannot stop her. Then doesn't put in any rules about wages, anything to help the sick and disabled. She blames the Great Masters for working within the system they've had for generations despite yelling at them to get a new system and doing nothing to help them move to that new system. She judges them, she hates them, and she wonders why she has the Meereneese version of the KKK springing up afterwards. She is just as ineffective as Andrew Johnson is during Reconstruction, too focused on her own feelings to look objectively at what this destroyed city actually needs from her, instead judging them from her own lofty pyramid with her own slaves and her own superior culture and mopes about how much she wants the Seven Kingdoms.
SHE is the one who decided she was going to rule this place. But instead of focusing on reconciliation, she focuses in on revenge. And that is why she sets herself up to fail.

The Sentinel
Summary: After surviving the Purge, you fled to Takodana to rest and recover. And after Maz kicked you out of your depression (literally) you ending up working for a Trandoshan named Cid for Maz. And through her you met what used to be Clone Force 99.
Pairing: TBB Hunter x Jedi!Reader
Word Count: 2807
Warnings: Mentions of Suicidal ideation (Reader was a sentinel who was at the temple when the Purge happened and she blames herself for what happened)
Tagging: @trixie2023 @n0vqni
A/N: So I had an idea, and I wanted/needed to put it down. I'm not sure if I have Hunter's personality down, but I hope I didn't butcher him too badly. So if anyone has any comments as to that, it would be greatly appreciated.
Hunter is staring at you.
Again.
You know it. You can feel the way his gaze is drilling into the back of your head.
Honestly, the fact that he’s walking behind you, rather than in front of you, is something of a miracle in and of itself. Maybe that’s why he’s glaring at the back of your head.
Whatever, you’re not a jedi, it’s not like you’re able to read his mind to know what’s bothering him.
(You are. You were. When you think too hard you can remember the scent of blood filling the halls of the temple, and the burning, searing, unending pain that is Anakin Kriffing Skywalker cutting your arm off-)
“Hunter, will you stop glaring at me and just get up here, please?” You ask, cutting off the blood stained memories with an ease that would have worried you, if you thought about it for too long.
“You seemed more than happy to lead,” Hunter replies, his voice low and annoyed, as he steps next to you.
“I was happy to lead because I didn’t want to hear you bitching at me.” You counter with a roll of your eyes.
“Bitch-” He sputters and glares at you fully, “I wasn’t bitching at you. I was reminding you that you needed to pack an extra battery pack for your blaster-”
“Yes, because I’m an actual child and would have forgotten something so important.” You interrupt.
“You know, I’m starting to understand why you and Cid get along so well.” Hunter says through gritted teeth.
“It’s because we have such magnetic personalities.” You snip.
“It’s because you’re both massive-” He cuts himself off before he can finish the insult, “We shouldn’t be far from the rendezvous point,” Hunter says instead, “It’s probably best that the contact thinks that you’re in charge.”
“Thinks?”
He leans into your personal space, and if you hadn’t been a sentinel once upon a time, you might have been intimidated. “Thinks.” He repeats, and then he leans back, and motions for you to take the lead, “After you.”
You grind your teeth, and spin to continue down the man made path. Sometimes you wonder how Hunter would react to hearing that you were a Jedi. That you had survived the purge.
And then you remember that the men you’re traveling with are Clones, and you get a chill. You don’t trust them to not shoot you on sight if they knew. Even Cid isn’t aware of your former affiliations, since you don’t trust her to not sell you out to the first bounty hunter who threatens her.
“Relax. This is no different than any other mission,” Hunter says, his voice closer than you thought. And your skin prickles as anxiety blooms in your chest.
You glance at him over your shoulder, and arch a brow, sending a prayer to whatever entity listens to the prayers of a former jedi that he thinks your anxiety is about the mission and nothing more.
“You’re tense, and anxious.” Hunter says, “Relax, or the contact will think something is wrong.”
Oh, he’s so much more annoying than Master Drallig ever was. And you used to wish death on your former master when he was at his most annoying.
You regret that now. You’d sell your left arm (not flesh one, not the metal one) to hear his annoyed drawl one more time.
You purse your lips, “Thank you, mother.” You say instead, “Any other pearls of wisdom?”
He smiles, it’s a nice smile, “Sometimes I want to throw you off a cliff.”
“Yeah, well. Sometimes I want to throw myself off a cliff, so you’re not special.” You counter, perhaps a bit too honestly based on how his expression falters.
“You-”
“We’re going to be late,” You interrupt, as you start walking faster, “Keep up, Hunter.”
He falls into step slightly behind you, and you can feel his stare on the back of your head again. At least he’s not glaring anymore, you suppose.
“I don’t actually want to throw you off a cliff,” Hunter says suddenly, as the pair of you slow to approach the clearing where you’re supposed to meet your contact, “Maybe push you into a lake, but I don’t actually want to hurt you.”
“Not to worry, I’m sure I can get you to change your mind on that.” You pause just outside the clearing and change the subject, “You have the information for the trade, right?”
Hunter stares at you for a moment, but he accepts the topic change gracefully, “Of course I do.” He tilts his head, “I don’t hear anyone in the clearing though.”
“We are a little early,” You reply thoughtfully as you glance at the chrono embedded in your prosthetic. “By about half an hour.”
“We are,” Hunter agrees, his gaze flickers around the clearing, and then he focuses on you, “Which means we just have to wait.”
You hum to acknowledge his words. Something feels…wrong.
After the Purge, you tried to cut yourself off from the force. It just hurt too much, all the pain, all the darkness, all the death…but even as you did it, you knew that it was a fool’s hope.
The Force can’t be cut off anymore that you could cut off your eyes.
And ignoring a warning from the force is just cutting off your nose to spite your face.
You don’t sense any immediate danger, just a massive feeling of be cautious that you would be foolish to ignore. So, slowly you head into clearing, your gaze scanning from one side to the other.
There’s nothing.
Even Hunter, who’s the most cautious of the clones you’ve ever worked with, doesn’t seem to be terribly concerned. So, you push your concerns aside as paranoia.
45 minutes later, your contact finally arrives.
He’s a rather squirrely looking Rodian. He speaks quickly, and his hands flutter anxiously, as though he’s afraid that if he stays still for too long something terrible will happen.
The deal happens smoothly, with you taking the lead on gathering the information that Cid needed, and trading your information. And your contact flees from the clearing as quickly as he arrived.
“He was certainly nervous,” Hunter says slowly, his nose scrunched as though he smelled something disgusting.
“Well, information broking isn’t exactly legal in this day and age,” You offer as an explanation, “I mean, it wasn’t legal in the time of the Republic either-”
“Well, whatever the reason, I’m glad he’s gone. He smelled awful.” Hunter grumbles as he rubs his nose, “Ugh, so bad. I don’t suppose you have any of your perfume on you, at least that smells good.”
You shoot him an odd look, “I don’t wear perfume. I don’t wear scented anything since I’m working with you.”
He pauses, and it must be a trick of the light, because you swear his face darkens slightly, “That’s…kind of you.”
“Not wanting to send you into sensory overload isn’t kind, Hunter. It’s literally the least I can do.” You fold your arms over your chest, the feeling of danger was still there.
“Well, I appreciate it all the same.” Hunter says, “You don’t seem like the type who would care.”
“Rude-” You stop mid-sentence as the force screams a warning, and you move, lunging forward and tackling Hunter out of harm's way, just as a gunship riddles the clearing with gunfire.
The pair of you tumble behind a large rock, and duck down for cover as the gunfire continues.
“Kriff,” Hunter ducks his head, “Who the hell is shooting at us?” He glances at you, and his expression sours when he sees you pulling a pastel pink compact out of one of your many pockets, “Seriously?”
“Shut up, it has a mirror.” You flick it open and lift it slightly, angling the mirror so you’re able to see the reflection, “And no one thinks twice about women carrying make-up.” You adjust the way your holding the compact slightly, “Karking hell,” You swear, “It’s Imperial.”
“What?” Hunter snatched the mirror from your hand, ignoring your indignant noise, and he lifts it to look for himself. “...kriff.”
“I told you,” You grouse, as you take the compact back and shove it back into your pocket.
“Now is not the time.” Hunter replies irritably, he looks around, “We can’t outrun them. Not with them in a gunship.”
You lean your head back against the boulder, “We can jump.”
“What?”
You point to the side, “You said you wanted to throw me off a cliff, right?”
“I didn’t mean it!” He snaps, “That will kill us as surely as the gunship.”
“No,” You sigh, “Hunter, there’s a river at the bottom, fast moving, but that works out in our favor.”
“Right, except we’ll either be killed by the gunship before we can jump, or hitting the water will kill us.” Hunter counters.
“It won’t.” You say, quietly, firmly.
He stares at you, silently.
You’re calm, deadly calm. You were a sentinel once. You protected people for a living. You failed last time. You won’t fail this time. “I need you to trust me…and not shoot me in the back.”
“Why would I shoot you in the-” He stops, his gaze dropping to your hands, where a slender metal tube rests innocently, “You’re a Jedi.”
“Like I said, please don’t shoot me in the back, and I’ll get us out of this alive.” You say.
Hunter says nothing for a moment, the clearing filled with nothing but the sound of blaster fire, and then he nods slowly, “What do you need me to do?”
“So long as they’re not using ballistic rounds, I can get you to the edge, you just need to jump and trust me.” You say.
He glances at the saber again, “Alright. You give the word.”
You exhale slowly and twirl your saber between confident fingers. Your master’s words echo in your mind as you adjust your weight. You are a sentinel. You are the last line of defense between those who would hurt and those who would be hurt. You will not falter. You will not hesitate. Trust in the force, and all will be well.
And you move.
A yellow blade crackles to life, and you spin it expertly.
Hunter ducks out behind you, and you cover him as he runs the short distance to the cliff. You’re aware of him jumping, and you jump after him, twisting the force around you both in a protective shell just before you hit the water.
Hunter drags you up so your head is above the water, which you’ll be grateful for when you’re not distracted keeping the part of you from getting battered to pieces by the rocks in the water.
The pair of you remain in the water for 30 minutes, until you manage to use the force to propel you both onto the shore, near a small cave. Hunter has to half carry you to the cave, you were far more careful with his well-being than you were with your own, and you painfully sink onto a rock as he starts a fire using some sticks and grass he found near the river.
“Are you hurt?” Hunter asks, as he crouches in front of you.
“Bruised and battered, but I wasn’t shot,” You reply.
He looks surprised, and then annoyed, as if he’s just realizing why he wasn’t hurt, “I wasn’t battered at all.”
“Yeah, you’re welcome.”
He pauses, and then sighs, “Thank you. For saving us and for keeping me from getting hurt.”
You smile at him weakly and lean against the wall, “Well, it definitely went better than the last time I used my saber, that’s for sure.”
Hunter doesn’t say anything for a moment, “Can I ask-?”
“I was a Sentinel.” You answer his unasked question, “My job was to guard the temple. I did a bang up job, as I’m sure you can tell.” Your smile is slightly bitter as you tap your metal arm.
“The Purge wasn’t your fault.” Hunter offers, though there’s something in his tone that suggests that he knows that his words aren’t much comfort. “There was nothing you could have done.”
“Oh, I know.”
“But you don’t believe it?”
“Would you?” Your smile becomes something bitter, “I spent the first couple of weeks after the Purge on Takodana healing and trying to cut myself off from the force. And Maz…well, she shoved a boot up my backside, and hired me.”
Hunter sits across from you, “Suddenly so much about your personality makes sense. You must have been terrified to learn that you were working with clones.”
“A bit. I figured if you didn’t think I was a jedi, I would be safe.” You sigh, “I didn’t expect Maz to just let Cid have me for as long as she did.”
Hunter leans back against the wall as well, “If you want, I’ll tell Cid that we can’t work together. You’ll never have to see us again, if you don’t want.”
“Don’t worry about it. I actually like you and your brothers.”
Hunter lifts his head and smirks at you, “Yeah?”
“Don’t let it go to your head.” You say wryly.
“Too late.” He lifts one knee and drapes an arm across it, “So, a follow up. If you want, you can join the crew of the Marauder. It’s only a matter of time before it comes out, you being a jedi. And Omega adores you.”
“What, just Omega?” You ask wryly, “Mister you like the way I smell.”
“Right, I was hoping you forgot about that.” Hunter mutters under his breath.
“Nope.”
“Fine. You smell amazing. It’s soothing. I also like the way you look, and I really like how pouty your lips are, especially when you’re wearing that bright red lipstick.”
“...you spend a lot of time looking at me.”
“Yes, yes I do.” He doesn’t sound the least bit ashamed about it either. “A lot more than you probably realize.” You stare at him, and he grins, “I like walking behind you. You have very nice…hips.”
“Right, I’m sure it’s my hips you admire.”
His grin widens, “You think it’s safe for the Marauder to come and get us now?”
You narrow your eyes at him, “Yeah, probably.”
“Great. I’ll call them,” Hunter pulls out his comm and connects to the Marauder, and you hear Tech answer. You’re vaguely aware of Hunter giving Tech his coordinates, and giving a very brief rundown on what happened, but you’re not totally listening.
Instead you dig into one of your pockets, and pull your waterproof makeup kit out, pulling your lipstick out to apply more.
You hear Hunter stumble over his words for a moment as you apply the vibrant red lip paint, and you glance at him, and see that his gaze is locked on your lips.
You don’t bother to hide your slightly smug grin, as you put your make-up away, and then you walk over to him to peek at his comm. Voice only, probably so his brothers don’t worry when they see him looking like a drowned tooka.
Hunter glances at you, and then to your lips, and then he focuses his attention on the comm again, “So, do you have our coordinates?” He asks the comm.
“I am looking, you appear to be in a ravine of some sort.” Tech says, his voice tinny over the comm.
“Yeah, well, you’re not wrong. Can you find us, or do we need to get higher?”
“Hm…a higher elevation would make this easier.” Tech says, but Hunter’s not listening, on account of the fact that you’ve just pulled him down into a kiss. He drops his comm as he presses his hand against the back of your neck, and you quickly catch it before it hits the ground. “Hunter? Hunter, are you still there?”
“I…uh…” Hunter blinks at you, a little hazy, and you smile up at him innocently as you press his comm back into his hands, “Yes. Yes, I’m here.”
“What happened? Did you hear what I said?”
“I…yeah. Yeah, I heard you. You need us to get higher.”
“Yes. Do that and then call back and I should be able to find you.”
“Right. Thanks Tech.” Hunter hangs up the comm, without taking his eyes off of you. “You’re trouble.”
You flash a downright angelic smile, “I thought you liked trouble?”
“Oh, I like this kind of trouble.” Hunter breathes out.
You hum, and lightly tap his lips with your finger, “Oh, good.” You stand on your toes so your lips are hovering just over his, “We should get climbing, Hunter. So Tech can find us.”
He groans, “You’re such a tease.”
You throw a grin over your shoulder, “I thought you liked it.”
“Doesn’t mean I’m not going to complain.”

“The stallion who mounts the world will burn no cities now. His khalasar shall trample no nations into dust.”
“I spoke for you,” she said, anguished. “I saved you.”
“Saved me ?” The Lhazareen woman spat.
“Three riders had taken me, not as a man takes a woman but from behind, as a dog takes a bitch. The fourth was in me when you rode past. How then did you save me ?
I saw my god’s house burn, where I had healed good men beyond counting.
My home they burned as well, and in the street I saw piles of heads.
I saw the head of a baker who made my bread.
I saw the head of a boy I had saved from deadeye fever, only three moons past.
I heard children crying as the riders drove them off with their whips.
Tell me again what you saved.
“Your life.”
Mirri Maz Duur laughed cruelly. “Look to your khal and see what life is worth, when all the rest is gone.”
I have to be honest, when I first read that scene in 2008, I considered Mirri the monster that deceived and betrayed Daenerys and therefore she deserved to die.
Years later, I reread the books for the first time and Daenerys already did things I found awful so I was more open minded to take in consideration Mirri’s POV… that truly changed my opinion on what GRRM created.
Mirri Maz Duur is a brown woman who lived in a peaceful community when one day a particular strong clan of Dothraki attacked her village and that lead into the slaughter and mass rape of everyone she knew and loved.
Mirri did witness the carnage firsthand and, most importantly, she was also a victim of the Dotharki violence.
When Daenerys “saved” her, Mirri was already a broken soul and rereading that scene it seems really a sinister joke that Daenerys wanted to save a few Lhazareen women when the main reason why Drogo decided to massacre this peaceful group of people is that he needed more slaves to trade for a fleet to invade Westeros and give Daenerys a throne that didn’t mean anything to the Lhazareen.
And there is more: Daenerys “saved” Mirri and made her one of her slaves and as such she was bound to serve the new Dothraki khal, the great khal of khals who would have united the Dothraki as one horde and used them to conquer the entire world, in other words a new Dothraki prophesied to wipe out the entire world… the future looked darker with every day that passed.
From this point of view, I understood why Mirri did what she did and she wasn’t the evil witch that I believed she was at first.
I love how we can revisit a book and understand it in a completely different way!
If Mirri set out to kill Drogo, I wouldn’t blame her at all (I don’t think anyone would if Dany weren’t at the center of this), but I’m not convinced that’s what she did. She had training and experience and gave clear instructions,
But they didn’t follow them,
The same goes for when Dany asks her to save him. She gives warning about the cost and tells Dany no one can enter the tent, but Jorah takes Dany in. Somehow, people still hold her responsible for Rhaego’s death which isn’t entirely fair.
It’s perfectly understandable to not catch details on a normal reading, there are so many things to keep track of, but even if Mirri did set out to kill her oppressor, on what grounds can we object? If I had suffered what she had and Dany reproached me for not being grateful, I’d laugh at that cruel joke too.
Thank you for sharing your evolution of thought here, anon. I enjoyed reading it!

𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲 - 𝗺.𝗳𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗿
summary: hiding a relationship from their teammates doesn’t last too long.
𖦹 masterlist
𝗪𝗘 𝗛𝗔𝗗 𝗗𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗜𝗧. we were through to the quarter finals. the crowd went wild as the full time whistle was blown. everyone was on their feet, cheering and clapping as we all ran together, celebrating with each other the achievement we just accomplished. by now the whole team was back in the changing rooms, and it was a party.
i was stood next to mary, we were like best friends to the team but no one knew how close we actually were.
we had met in the under 20s, when we were around 15, and started dating when we were 16. that was four years ago now, and we both turned 20 in the last couple of months. i was ecstatic when i was called up, it was my debut for the national team on a world stage.
mary had already gotten the call a few days before me and she was just as happy. we had made it through all of the group stages, having just won the last one against denmark.
the next game was the quarter finals against france. we had a week until that kicked off so the team was heading back to the hotel for the night. it was almost a party on the bus back, but when we got inside everyone looked drained and headed to their own rooms.
i went to mine, had a shower and waited until the hallway was clear before sneaking into mary's room. she was already waiting for me, and i ran into her arms.
"why don't we just tell them?" we were lying on the bed now, just enjoying each others' company, but my mind had wandered elsewhere. "tell who? the team?" "yea." she paused for a second.
"i'm not sure. why are we keeping it secret?"
"we just wanted privacy. no media." a comfortable silence fell over us again and we ended up falling asleep together on her bed.
a knocking on mary's door woke me up and i realised where i was. "mary, wake up or i'm coming in!" i could hear alanna on the other side threatening to come in. "maz wake up!" i whispered to my sleeping partner, shaking her a bit to wake her up.
"what? i'm up, i'm up!"
i clamp my hand over her mouth so alanna doesn't hear. "lani is at your door, she's gonna come in, i need to hide." mary sobered up immediately and directed me to the bed while she called out to lani and said she's coming.
i slipped under the hotel bed, such a cliche place for me to hide but it would have to do. "have you seen yn?" i could here lani ask mary. "she's not responding to me knocking on her door and i can't find her anywhere else." whoops. i hoped mary would keep her composure and pretend she hadn't seen me.
"i haven't seen her at all today, maybe she's out getting breakfast or something?" i breathed out a silent sigh of relief as lani thanked mary and left.
i crawled out from under her bed and shook myself off. "you should probably get back to your own room before lani figure out i sent her astray." i looked up at mary to see her smirking at me. "shut up maz, i'm going." i kisses her on the cheek, grabbed my things i had left from last night and slipped out the door.
——
a week had gone by and now we were playing in the quarters against france. i was bouncing off the walls with nerves, and the team could tell. we all lined up in the tunnel, parallel with the french players. i forced myself not to look at them, ignore them and focus on myself. we all walked out onto the field, the crowd was enormous, almost 80 thousand people.
everyone got into positions, we were all somewhat nervous but sam assured us that we could do it. we could get further than we ever had before. she was on the bench to start with so steph had the captains armband. the ref and touch judges were all on the middle with the ball, steph walking forward to stand with them, opposite french captain wendie renard.
we had possession first, the touches went off the field and the ref blew her whistle. we were off.
——
it was half time and neither team had scored, it was nil all. tony was nervous, he was trying not to show it but you could tell. we all ran back on, starting the second half. the french were tough to break, they had an attack to match our own and they fought tooth and nail. i was growing tired of the back and forth between us and they got more agitated that they hadn't scored yet.
tony was getting frustrated so he subbed sam on for the first time that game. she immediately got her feet on the ball and had a shot at goal, but couldn't quite make it. we kept playing on but eventually the ref called the full time whistle. my head whipped to the clock to see that it had been the full 90 minutes.
it felt like just a couple of minutes ago we were running back out here for the second half.
it went into extra time, both of the fifteen minute halves were unsuccessful for both teams. this meant the last resort was penalty shootouts. it was caitlin foord that took our first shot, scoring us 1-0. it was a high-stress moment and we keep going, back and forth, until it came down to me to score the last goal. i stood in front the ball, lining up where i would kick it.
i took steps back, a deep breath then ran up and booted it into the back of the net.
the crowd in the stadium erupted in cheers and i turned to run back to my team. we had made it to the semi finals! mary was the first to reach me and picked me up, spinning me around and smashing her lips to mine. i didn't have a second thought and returned the favour. i think the whole team stopped when they saw and everyone was confused.
they still crashed into us and everyone was cheering but when we broke apart, alanna pulled me over. "since when? you and mary?"
i just laughed. "surprise. it's been four years." lani's face dropped, she was shocked. "how did we not know?" i could hear the screech in her voice over the cheers of the crowd, but only shrugged at her astonished face.
"you guys clearly aren't as observant as you think."
i cheekily grinned and ran away from her as she yelled out and ran after me. i caught up with mary after escaping lani and she was ecstatic that we had won, and could finally be together in the open. "what did you tell her?" she referenced lani's interrogation.
"i told her 'surprise'."

it's fun and sad yeah !! i think my mc at the end of it would choose to become immortal, or it'd end up being accidental like Solomon
And if they choose, it'd either be like, she gets help from the other two OR she does it in secret and just waits for them to notice 20 years have passed and she hasn't changed a bit
also 🤨 when are you gonna drop your mc design 🫵
NO STOP I HAD THAT SAME “oh man I’m immortal. Anyway I wonder how long until they notice lolz” IDEA TOO BAHAHA don’t think I’m gonna end up going with that but my MC is going to end up immortal one way or another🤷♀️
Another idea I had for the immortal thing is similar to the previous one but my MC also doesnt know. Like, one too many meals made by Solomon and she starts aging slower and slower until she stops and they all have a “Hey. Aren’t I supposed to be like. Middle aged” moment and there’s no way of knowing for certain if they’re immortal or just age like fine wine for another like 50 years
As for design, I think I’ve shared it before???? Defo don’t talk about it often though soooo
👆That’s my main MC, Mazzie (Also my DRself cause I’m a shifter ashdknskwk I usually refer to her in first person but since this isn’t about shifting I don’t want to weird anybody out)
I also have a few other MCs. My main MC that isn’t my drself is here
⬆️she’s not anywhere near as much of a main one as Maz, but she’s still my baby girl
And I have two other MCs that are sisters. I kinda split the MC traits between them? The first one is the older sister, Aeronwen (Aeron usually) who got the “Amnesia” trait and the Zephyr nickname I believe Lucider gives MC in the manga and the second one is Catrin (Who goes by Cadi) who got transformed into a sheep💔💔 I enjoy them as OCs because it’s basically “Older sister who doesn’t remember much of the stuff she taught her sister and all she remembers is her sister” and “Mentor who is like 4 foot shorter than her sister/trainee and doesn’t know wtf she’s talking about because shes like 14” (Aeron is in her early-mid twenties)
I actually don’t have set designs for them yet so I’ve never drew them. Hold on
Okay I doodled and got carried away but yeah (though majority of the time poor cadi on the right is a sparkly pink sheep not a viscerally insecure and edgy teen) basically that’s them😭
Sorry for info dumping on those two it’s cause I’ve never wrote about or drew them before I got too excited LMAO
Anywayysssss THANKS FOR ASKING (don’t point at me😡) and Maz is my main MC!! Followed by Myfi, then Aeron (Because Aeron is the one who makes the pacts. Cadi is just there for the chaos and to be a sheep idk) and honourable mention to my bbg angel/human OC tris I love you tris
#this is such a dump all you asked was for what they looked like. sorry Lupe🙏#THANK U FOR ASKING THOOOO#obey me solmare#obey me!#obey me shall we date#obey me mc

Some Team Castle shenanigans for @mygangtome day 2024. Written in an hour on my lunch break, unedited, Allan, Marian and Guy go out to the tavern, semi-crackish
"Allan," Marian hisses from the end of the corridor. "You need to help me sneak out of the castle."
Allan sighs and rolls his eyes. "You know I can't do that, Marian. Giz banned the Nightwatchman."
Marian huffs. "I wasn't going to sneak out to be the Nightwatchman."
Allan eyes her dubiously.
"Well, all right, maybe I was. But I just want to get out! Take me to a tavern or something, I don't care! I just need to get out of this damn castle."
Allan raises his eyebrows. He doesn't think he's ever heard Marian swear before. "All right," he says, hands on hips. "But I'll have to ask Giz for his permission. And you never know, he might want to come too."
"I don't care," says Marian. "I'll go to the tavern with the Sheriff if it'll get me out of here for five minutes!"
"Fine, I'll ask him," says Allan. "No promises, mind." He looks at her sceptically. "Have you even been to a tavern before?"
"I can hold my wine, thank you very much," Marian says, which means no.
Allan smirks. "We'll see," he says.
Gisborne is horrified at first.
"A tavern? Lady Marian?"
Allan pleads her case pretty well, especially since he's not quite sure he believes it himself. He's not convinced that Marian won't run off to the forest or start giving alms to the poor the minute Guy's back is turned.
He can see Guy starting to waver.
"Very well," he says eventually. "Under one condition."
"Yeah?" says Allan. "What's that?"
"I will accompany Lady Marian to the...tavern," he says, as if the word is an unpleasant bite of food.
"Yeah, great," says Allan. "I might head down too."
Guy looks strained. "Allan, you don't have to-"
"Yeah, but I want to. What, are you gonna ban me from going down the pub?"
Guy bears his teeth at him. "I should do." He sighs. "Fine. You may come."
"Didn't actually need your permission, but thanks Giz," Allan chirps, then leaves before Guy starts throwing things at him.
The company isn't exactly diverting to start with. Guy buys the first round of drinks, looking suspiciously over his shoulder at Marian and Allan the whole time. He sets them on the table and they sit in silence.
"So, Gisborne," Allan says. "How's the leather working out for you? Look still in?"
Marian hides an undignified snort of laughter in her hands. Guy looks at her sharply before turning to Allan. "It's comfortable," he says.
Marian raises her eyebrows. "Is it?"
"Yes, actually," Guy says, drawing himself up in a dignified manner. "And protective. Much less cumbersome than actual armour, but it does the job."
Marian looks surprised. "Well, I never knew that."
"Me neither," says Allan.
They lapse back into silence.
By the second round of drinks, however, everyone starts to loosen up. Allan plonks them on the table.
"Cheers, Giz, Maz," Allan says, raising his tankard, and neither of them tell him off for the nickname.
"What should we call you?" Marian says. "Al? Az?"
She lets out a snort and Guy joins her in laughter, to all of their surprises.
"I'm gonna use that from now on," he says, gesturing towards Allan.
He sets his tankard down. "I shouldn't drink anymore, the Sheriff wants me up at the crack of dawn tomorrow."
"C'mon, live a little, Giz," Allan says.
"Yes, Guy, you need to loosen up," Marian says, bursting into giggles for no apparent reason. Allan had known she'd be a total lightweight.
Guy rolls his eyes and sighs, then drains half the tankard in one. Allan cheers while Marian laughs in delight, attempting to copy him and spilling half the pint down her dress.
"Oh drat!" she says.
Guy shakes his head fondly and offers her a handkerchief.
"Thanks Guy."
By the third round, both Marian and Guy are well and truly drunk, and Allan's well on his way to tipsy.
"Sure you don't wanna go home already?" Marian teases Guy.
"Nah," he says, taking a big gulp and wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. "Fuck the Sheriff."
Marian howls with laughter and Allan can't help but join her. People are starting to look in their direction, but Guy and Marian don't seem to notice.
"Fuck the Sheriff!" says Marian, raising her tankard and clinking it against Guy's, then Allan's.
"To drinking!" says Allan.
"To ale!" says Guy.
"To friends," says Marian, catching them both in her little smile. Allan feels pleasantly numb, happy in the company of two people who have been enemies, allies and superiors to him, but who right now are friends.
"To friends," he repeats.
"To friends," Guy says. He's wearing an odd look on his face, one Allan can't quite read.
"On that note, I need to visit the privy," Marian says. "Where is it?"
"Outside." Allan gestures vaguely, noting the distasteful look on Marian's face as she gets up.
Once she's left, Gisborne rests a hand on his shoulder. Allan turns to him and is surprised to see his eyes filled with tears.
"Guy?" Allan asks tentatively.
"Allan," Guy says miserably. "Allan, what can I do to make her love me?"
Allan takes a deep breath. He should have known Gisborne would be a weepy drunk. "Well, she's your friend. That's a start, right?"
And then Guy is weeping into his chest. "Why won't she love me, Allan? I just want her to love me."
Allan pats the back of Guy's head awkwardly. "There, there," he says. Guy continues sobbing into his shoulder, but luckily doesn't say anything else.
"Allan, I can't walk straight," Marian says, tottering back to their table. Allan's almost surprised that she's come back - he'd half expected her to run off.
Then she notices Guy weeping into Allan's shoulder. "Guy? What's wrong?"
Guy lets out another wracking sob and doesn't answer, which Allan is secretly grateful for. He came out for a relaxing night of drinking - the last thing he needs is for Marian and Guy to have it out here and now.
"He's just a bit drunk," Allan says, answering for him. "C'mon, help me get him back to the castle. We don't want the Sheriff to see him like this."
Marian nods, trying to look more sober than she is, and helps Allan get Guy up.
"Not the Sheriff, no, no, nooo," he moans. "Allan, you can't let the Sheriff see me like this, OK?"
"On it, boss," Allan says. Marian sniggers.
"Or Marian," Guy says. "She can't see me like this."
"Um," says Marian, her arm already around his shoulders.
"ALLAN!" Guy yells, giving him an earful about letting Marian near him in this state as they wrangle him out of the tavern.
"Jeez, a little gratitude would be nice," he says as Guy lapses into tears again.
They manage to make it back to the castle without being spotted. Marian helps Allan lay Guy down on the bed.
"Well," she says, looking awkward (and a lot more sober than she was half an hour ago). "Goodnight Allan."
"G'night Marian," Allan says.
"Goodnight, Guy," she calls, but Guy doesn't respond.
"Don't worry," Allan says confidently. "He'll have forgotten this by the morning."
"I hope so," says Marian. She smiles. "Thank you for arranging tonight," she says. "I had a good time."
Then she's gone. Allan is astonished. She really did just want to go out and spend time with them.
Maybe that'll be a comfort to Guy later, he thinks, as he helps the man undress and get into bed.
"Stay," Guy begs as Allan is about to head for the door. He pauses.
"Are- are you sure?" he says. "I don't want you to wake up tomorrow morning screaming like a little girl about me being in your bed."
Guy snorts, the tears apparently over for now. "It'd take a lot more for you to make me scream, Allan."
Allan wonders if he realises how dirty that sounds.
Guy sighs. "I need you to wake me up in time to meet with the Sheriff," he says. "So I need you to stay. That's all."
"That's all," Allan repeats.
"Yes." Guy eyes him narrowly, then pulls back the covers. "Get in."
Trying not to smirk, Allan gets into bed next to Guy. "You had better not throw up on me, Giz, that's all I'm saying. Otherwise, you and me are through."
Allan expects some kind of response to that, an elbow in the ribs at the very least. He twists round to look at Guy and realises he's fallen asleep, gently snoring, pressed up against Allan.
Allan sighs and resigns himself for a restless night.

Do you think that Rey's story (excluding episode 9 'cause that was a shitshow) could be interpreted as a Cinderella/Ash girl story?
I hope you realize asking me this is like throwing chum to a shark 😈. But the short answer is yes, to a point.
The long answer is more complicated, so to begin with, let's consult the Cinderella bible:
According to the Aarne Thompson Uther Index, there are five primary motifs to a Cinderella tale:
Persecuted heroine, usually by family
Help or helper, usually magic
Meeting the prince, usually with true identity disguised
Identification or penetration of disguise, usually by means of an object
Marriage to the prince
Rey is abandoned by her family, which is a form of persecution, and harassed by the inhabitants of Jakku like Unkar Plutt. Thus she clearly fulfills the first item.
As for meeting a helper, there are several for her, including Han Solo, Maz, Luke, and Leia. Any or all of these may be considered fairy godparents in the way that they offer her wisdom and material help. Further, except for Maz, they all die in the course of the story, which is consistent with many Cinderella tales in which the helper dies and their bones continue to offer wisdom and comfort to the heroine.
Next, meeting the prince. I mean
To the extent that Rey is "in disguise' here, it would be the extent of her force powers, her destiny as Ben Solo's dyad mate, and her role as the heir apparent to the Jedi (chosen by the Force to wield the legacy saber), all of which are obscured from Kylo Ren when he discovers her in the forest. Further, she is grimy and covered in desert sand, similar to how Cinderella is smeared with ashes that hide her true beauty.
So now an object penetrates the disguise. This is obviously the Skywalker lightsaber, which reveals Rey to be everything listed above, especially when she calls it to her on Starkiller Base, and again when she wields it on Ahch-to.
And lastly, marriage to the prince. As many others have pointed out over the years, Rey and Ben have almost too many symbolic marriages to count in the course of the sequel trilogy. They're extremely married, the Force said so.
BUT WAIT! Go back and look at that list again. Who ELSE fits all those criteria?
It's our boy! Consider:
He is indeed persecuted by family, most notably when Luke momentarily considers killing him.
Ben's helpers are both dark and light, as Snoke/Palpatine guide him in the dark while Luke guides him in the light (poorly). But note again what I said above about the bones of the mentor continuing to offer guidance and comfort after their death. Who should appear at Ben's lowest hour but his departed father, Han Solo? With a message of love, acceptance, and encouragement, Han's memory (because in fairy tales, bones contain memory) encourages Ben to at last cast off his beastly skin and become who he always was.
Next, meeting the prince/ss in disguise. He's wearing a literal mask when he meets Rey, so yeah.
An object penetrates the disguise? Rey slashed his face with the legacy saber, thus symbolically peeling away his mask. And I've argued before that the stabbing in TROS (which I still HATE, btw) is another cutting or burning away of the beastly skin.
And lastly, marriage to the prince/ss. As previously stated, that happened. Many times.
So yes, the Sequel Trilogy can definitely be considered a Cinderella story, with but one glaring issue: Cinderella's husband usually doesn't die at the end. But that's another topic that's been done to death, so let's all just read some more fanfic and forget about it. 👑 Thank you for the ask, this was fun!

The Miya twins are as close as can be, their entire lives. Nothing could break their bond. Until Atsumu discovers he loves his brother a little too much, and everything threatens to fall apart.
A Dream Come True
MiyaSaku, mostly pwp, ~14k, complete.
Sakusa Kiyoomi has high standards when it comes to his sexual partners, which has unfortunately left him with zero options over the past year. Thankfully, Motoya's boyfriend Suna knows just the right person to give Kiyoomi exactly what he needs. Or rather, he knows the right set of twins.
A Mask To Show The True Self
SakuAtsu, omegaverse, twin identity switching shenanigans, ~7k, incomplete, will likely get long...
Atsumu doesn't mind being an omega, he truly doesn't. He only has one singular problem with it: Omegas aren't allowed to play volleyball professionally. But as luck has it, his beta twin doesn't want to play professionally anyway. The solution is obvious, and easier to pull off than they expect. As far as Atsumu is concerned, nobody ever needs to know he's an omega. That is, until one tall, dark, and handsome alpha joins his team.
Prime
Atsumu harem, omegaverse, prime alpha Atsumu, pwp but there is plot actually, ~12k, incomplete.
It was meant to be a simple trip for practice matches, but it turned into an unforgettable night when Atsumu presented overnight. As a prime alpha, no less.
Aaaaaaand that's 5! thanks so much for sending the ask, maz <3

The dorlene love is amazing!! If you are every inclined to write more dorlene smut (or just more dorlene content in general) I would love it!
Dorlene wedding planning on Lion Pride, ft. their content cash cows loving friends <3 Full disclosure: this social media fic was entirely inspired by the Rock the Boat scene in Derry Girls, a show Finn O'Hara would adore. Character credit goes to @lumosinlove!
TW for brief mention of alcohol at weddings
Dorcas’ hair was pinned back with tiny pearl barrettes that matched the buttons on her white suit when the video began. “This is Dorcas Meadowes, and welcome to Lion Pride!” She spread her hands with a smile. “As you can see, wedding season has begun, and I for one simply cannot wait. Not only because several members of the Lions are celebrating their own upcoming nuptials, but more importantly, because I am getting married to our favorite camera darling, Marlene McKinnon.
“Lions, I want you to know one thing when you inevitably watch this: I am shamelessly mining you for wedding playlist ideas because my wife-to-be and I have been too busy filming your nonsense to put the required time or effort into it. You’re welcome.” She winked at the camera. “On to the show! Boys, what are your favorite wedding songs?”
#7: James Potter
James’ brow furrowed slightly. “Do you want my wedding playlist? ‘Cause I’ll send you my wedding playlist. Get Maz in here and we’ll do a walkthrough of each song, I can call Lily—"
#17: Finn O’Hara
“Uh, obviously it’s Rock the Boat,” Finn scoffed. A few beats of silence passed; his eyes widened. “Oh my god, do none of you know the magic of Rock the Boat?”
“Is it like…the Cupid Shuffle?” Dorcas asked.
“Is it—we’re going to pretend you didn’t just ask that. No, no, come here. Ringer!” Finn shouted over his shoulder. “Gimme the speaker for, like, ten minutes! C’mere, D, there’s a dance and everything.”
“I’m in a suit,” Dorcas laughed.
“It’s Rock the Boat,” Finn countered. “You can’t get married without Rock the Boat.”
#5: Olli Halla
Olli thought for a long moment. “Is this a good time to mention that I’ve only been to one wedding?”
#6: Remus Lupin
“Wedding songs? The Electric Slide, hands-down.” Remus gave them a look of mock-offense as he finished taping his stick. “It’s an unbeatable classic. It was the first thing I put on the wedding list.”
#55: Sergei Ivanov
“Oh, god,” Sergei muttered, scratching at his beard. “It’s been too long since I got married. Hey, Dumo, what did you play at your wedding?”
#43: Thomas Walker
“The Cupid fucking Shuffle, Big D,” Talker laughed, meeting Dorcas’ high-five with great enthusiasm. “Yes. That’s what I’m talking about. You can’t have a party without the Cupid Shuffle.”
“That’s what I was saying,” Dorcas agreed.
#86: Evgeni Kuznetsov
Kuny lit up in his stall, then reached over to smack Nado on the leg. “Cha-Cha Slide! Oh my god, favorite. Hey, hey, everybody clap your hands!”
#1: Leo Knut
Leo clicked his tongue thoughtfully. “I’m gonna go with…drunk uncles dancing to Wobble at 4:30 on a Wednesday.”
Dorcas bit back a laugh. “Are the drunk uncles necessary?”
“Oh, without a doubt. If you don’t have your own, storebought is fine. They’re five daquiris in and the life of the fuckin’ party.”
**Editor’s Note: All songs included in this video are central to the Meadowes-McKinnon wedding playlist. Additionally, Dorcas Meadowes looks fine as hell in her suit. Thank you, and goodnight.

hi i have played the demo a few days ago i really like it. I made MC like a polite and awkward with people, numb/confuse/angry with the car scene happen looking like a kicked puppy when the money scene show up (i didn't accept the money "just wanna go home🥺 i need a bunch of sleep after that" lol). I liked the mum a sweet lady. Maz will be my first route, but they have to work their ass off for me to forgive them with the all car chase 😂. Sunny is not making it easy for me to romance him next. Oh don't know if it was ask before but is there poly options in the game? -sarah
hi sarah!! sorry for the late reply, i am glad you are enjoying the game <3 all of the crew are going to have to work hard to get the mc's attention and affection haha.

Hey Pretty Girl
Summary: After the war, Echo picks up music as his hobby. And it wins him a girlfriend.
Pairing: ARC Trooper Echo x Reader
Word count: 896
Warnings: Fluff
Song: Hey Pretty Girl by Kip Moore
Divider by saradika
“Any new talent playing tonight?” You ask the bartender as you lean against the bar waiting for your drink.
The other woman laughs, “Of course we do! There’s a new guy who sounds a-maz-ing,” She gushes as she places your drink on the counter in front of you, “And he’s absolutely gorgeous.”
“Ooh. High praise coming from you,” You joke before taking a sip of your drink.
“Right? I mean most of the guys who come in here for these shows look, well, like trolls. But this guy…” She mock swoons over the bar, and you laugh. “If I wasn’t happily married, and, you know, very gay, I would climb him like a tree.”
You shoot her a look of amusement, “Well then, I’d better get a good seat.”
“I saved you a spot up front, baby doll!” She cooed to you, “You need a good man in your life. And your bed.”
“Wow. It’s tragic that you think you're funny.”
“Your love life is tragic, babe. Now, go catch yourself a man!”
You roll your eyes and head to the front of the club, easily finding the table that was saved for you. You settle on one of the stools and sip your drink as the club slowly fills.
Eventually the lights dim, and the music lessens, and the owner of the club announces the 22nd live artist show, and you settle in to enjoy yourself.
The first few artists were okay. Not great, but not terrible.
And then the third artist steps on stage. He’s absolutely gorgeous, with dark eyes and curly hair just long enough to bury your hands in. And he’s carrying a guitar.
The bar falls silent as he starts playing, and somehow, his gaze locks with yours. And he smiles, slow and lazy. And then he starts singing, “Hey pretty girl, won’t you look my way-”
You listen as he sings, and it feels like he’s singing directly to you.
And soon, too soon, the song is over and he’s leaving the stage, and you know, just know, that you have to meet him. So you down your drink as quickly as you can and you slip back towards the bar, intending to ask the bartender to get you a meet and greet.
But it was unnecessary, because he, apparently, had the same idea.
“Hi,” He greets, his gaze locked with yours.
“Hi,” Your mouth is dry and you feel like you should be nervous, but, somehow, you aren’t, “You’re a really good singer.”
He smiles at you, and your stomach flips, “Thanks. I needed a hobby when the war ended, and I chose music.” He offers you his hand, “Echo.”
You take his hand and introduce yourself with a bright smile, “Well, you definitely picked the right hobby.” You praise, and there is a thrill of delight when pink dusts across his cheeks.
“Thanks. It was my brother's idea, actually, for me to try this.” He gestures to the bar, “Do…would you like to go somewhere else? To just…talk?”
Your smile widens, “You know, I would actually.”
Echo shifts, almost nervously, “Maybe, we could go next door?”
“To the dance club?” You ask.
“Yeah. I like dancing.” Echo replies with an easy smile.
“As it happens, so do I.” You reply as you take a half step closer to him.
“Good to know,” He lightly places his hand on the small of your back and guides you out of the club, and to the dance club right next door.
And as soon as you’re inside, he leans in so his mouth is right next to your ear, “Hey pretty girl, can I have this dance? And the next one after that?”
You blush, deeply flustered, but you favor him with a bright smile, “You can.”
He grins at you, and spins you onto the dance floor, pulling you close against him and holding you tight.
One dance turns to two. And then three.
You lose track of just how many songs you share with Echo, lost in his warm gaze, and the tight way that he’s holding you, like he’s afraid that if he lets you go, you’ll vanish into the night.
You cling to him just as tightly though, so you’re not going to be too judgemental.
Slowly, like two stars caught in each other's orbit, his head leans in and you lean up, until your lips meet in a kiss that’s sweet and gentle and everything that you ever dreamed of in a kiss.
One kiss turns into two, which turns into three.
And Echo drags you off the dance floor, to a slightly more secluded corner, where he kisses you over and over and over. And you lose yourself in him, but he loses himself in you at the same time.
“Pretty Girl,” He murmurs against your lips, “Can I walk you home?”
You press against him and kiss him again and again, “Yes.”
His gaze locks with yours, and his fingers are warm against the skin of your hip, “Oh, pretty girl,” He sounds adoring, “Can I stay with you?”
You trail your lips across his cheek and jaw, “Yes,” You murmur, “Please.”
And he smiles.
True to his word, Echo walks you home. And he stays.
And he doesn’t leave until noon the following day. Though by the time he leaves, you’re his girlfriend.
